Don't Get It Twisted! Selena and Justin Are Reportedly on a Break, but It's Not a Breakup
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber rekindled their romance in November, but just five months later, the two have reportedly decided to take a break.
"They were having a lot of little disagreements recently and one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to 'break up,' however, they've been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed," a source told E! News. "They will absolutely get back together and they are not over, but they both need some time away from each other."
The two decided early on that, this time around, they would be keep their relationship "low-key," but that didn't stop them from being seen out together. In February, Selena attended Justin's dad's wedding in Jamaica, and the duo even celebrated Valentine's Day in LA together. Ever since Selena and Justin started dating, her relationship with her mom, Mandy Teefy, hasn't been the greatest. Mandy was reportedly not happy the two got back together and it has put a strain on their relationship. This is something Selena was allegedly struggling with while being with Justin, along with the fact that the public has been so interested in them.
"They both have expressed that they have been feeling overwhelmed with a lot of pressure that has come with their public relationship, and haven't been seeing eye to eye on things," another source told E! News. A little space never hurt anybody, now we will just have to wait and see what Selena and Justin do moving forward.

Francia Raisa Reveals the Surgery Complication That Left Selena Gomez "Really Scared"
Francia Raisa recently opened up about the kidney transplant she and Selena Gomez underwent last year, and it sounds like things were a lot more complicated than you might realize. Shortly after Selena made the news of their surgery public, she explained to Today's Savannah Gunthrie how she was "freaking out" about the six-hour procedure because of her "flipped" kidney. Now her close friend, Francia, has detailed just how anxious the both of them were after the surgery was complete in an interview with W magazine.
"Recovery was hard," she said. "I didn't want to eat, I didn't want to drink anything. Selena did have a complication, too. A few hours after our surgery, I woke up and had a text from her that said, 'I'm really scared.' My kidney was very active, and when it turned I broke an artery. They had to take her into emergency surgery and get a vein from her leg and build a new artery to keep my kidney in place. She could have died."
While speaking with Good Morning America about the kidney transplant, which Selena needed due to her struggle with Lupus, the 25-year-old "Wolves" singer noted how most surgeries of that kind only take two hours. "I'm very grateful that there are people who know what to do in that situation," she said.
Fortunately the Grown-ish star was there for her longtime pal and made sure that Selena was the one who'd decide when to tell the world about what they'd experienced.
"We didn't want to tell anybody because recovery was very hard for us, and we went through a depression at the time. We kind of just wanted to be normal and not have that attention on us," Francia told W. "I really left it up to her. I've never had anything personal come out about me before. I've dated very famous people, and no one knows because I'm very private. I was like, 'Did you have to be famous?'"
Since the transplant, Selena has been hard at work on a new album and even reunited with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber. The two are reportedly on a break at the moment, but luckily it seems Selena will always have someone to turn to thanks to her close bond with Francia.
Demi Lovato's Mom Is Hoping She Gets Back With Wilmer Valderrama: "I Do Like Them Together"
Demi Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, sat down with Access Live on Thursday and gave her thoughts about her daughter's ex-romance with Wilmer Valderrama. "I do like them together," she shared. "I have to be honest - I would be happy if they were together forever, but I don't know anything about a timeline or even if it's going to happen."
Dianna also revealed that she has hope for the former couple, who split back in June 2016 after six years of dating, saying, "They're amazing friends and hopefully one day it will be more than that. And if it's not, that will be up to her, I guess. But I do like them together."
The pair were most recently spotted dining together at Sol y Luna restaurant in LA, sparking rumors of a reconciliation, but according to Us Weekly, it wasn't the first time they've hung out together since calling it quits.
Demi admitted she was still in love with Wilmer in her 2017 YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated. "I think my heart is always with Wilmer," the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer confessed. "You don't share six years with somebody and not give them a piece of your heart and vice versa. I'm pretty sure I am not going to meet anybody that compares to him, but I'm trying to keep an open heart and an open mind when it comes to that."

Demi Lovato has been open about her struggles with mental health and addiction, but even though she's been sober for almost six years now, a "complete b*tch" almost caused her to fall off the wagon in 2016. In a new interview with Billboard, the 25-year-old recalled her "terrible experience" at the Met Gala that year. "This one celebrity was a complete b*tch and was miserable to be around," Demi said. "It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink."
Instead of hitting the bar, Demi texted her manager and headed straight to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 10 p.m. "I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on - millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting," Demi said. I Finally Found a Pair of Black Jeans That Don't Fade - and They're Only $68
Wearing black jeans on repeat has always been my go-to look. The only downfall is constantly having to purchase new ones because they always end up fading. Earlier this year, Everlane launched its affordable denim line, and it didn't take long for me to purchase the Modern Boyfriend Jean in black ($68).
The brand touts that the jeans are made with a "Stay Black dye" that helps them remain darker for longer. They come in three different fits: high- and mid-rise skinny and the modern boyfriend. I decided on the boyfriend style because I have a ton of skinny jeans and wanted to try something else. In my usual size, they ended up looking a bit baggy, so I sized down - they fit me more like the perfect straight leg as opposed to a loose-fit pair, which I liked even more.
Months later, these are my favorite everyday pants. Not only are they comfortable, but the material is soft. The have a lot of give, but they don't stretch out throughout the day. I wear them with everything from heels on nights out with my friends or sneakers to work. I've washed them a handful of times (even in the dryer!) and the color looks the same as the when I first bought them. I'll probably end up treating myself to a skinny pair ($68) too.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw Is Seeking Complexity, and A Wrinkle in Time Is No Exception
If you don't know who Gugu Mbatha-Raw is by now, you have some serious explaining to do. The actress has more than a decade of credits including Belle, Doctor Who, and Beauty and the Beast. Even in the past few years alone, Mbatha-Raw has rapidly become more and more well-known. This is due in large part to a very special Black Mirror episode called "San Junipero" that got a lot of attention for its delightful interracial lesbian romance and mold-breaking happy ending. Correction: a very special Emmy-winning episode of Black Mirror.
While Mbatha-Raw had a pretty impressive résumé before Black Mirror, the show marked a real turning point for her. That specific role turned her into somewhat of a Netflix darling. We're only a few months into 2018, after all, and she's been a part of had two new releases from the streaming giant. She appeared in the cast of The Cloverfield Paradox, which Netflix dropped out of nowhere after the Super Bowl, and she's also in the new tearjerker Irreplaceable You with regulation hottie Michiel Huisman.
Now we have her next big project: A Wrinkle a Time. Mbatha-Raw plays Kate Murry, the brilliant scientist who is raising our young hero, Meg. With this role, it's hard not to notice a pattern in Mbatha-Raw's work: she often seems to inhabit these women with astonishing depth and authenticity. Kelly in "San Junipero," Hamilton in The Cloverfield Paradox, Abbie in Irreplaceable You, even going back to Dido in Belle - these are women who are multifaceted and intersectional in their own unique and brilliant ways. Ahead of A Wrinkle in Time's release, we sat down with Mbatha-Raw to talk about all these things - her career, the power of her roles, and even a new Janelle Monáe music video inspired by Black Mirror.
POPSUGAR: This film struck me as such an important moment in a lot of ways. What was it like to see this come to life and to be a part of this?
Gugu Mbatha-Raw: I think it's culturally significant that little girls will just be looking at Storm as . . . symbolically, subconsciously, an emblem of what is their potential to achieve. So, yeah, it's totally not wasted on me that this is happening now. Ava [DuVernay] is directing it. This cast celebrates the world that we live in . . . I think for me what really resonates is not just the power of women, but that who you are is enough.
PS: Did you find it challenging to communicate the depth of your character, Kate, in such small moments? What was your approach for that?
GMR: I suppose I sort of felt like my job was to provide the grounding sense of reality in this fantastical world. Even though she is a doctor and a scientist, most of the scenes are in the home, in the mother role. But yeah, for me, it was sort of keeping it real and creating that family dynamic and understanding. This sort of strong, warm, intellectual sort of sanctuary that they were all from and why they would want to come back to it.
PS: What was it like working with the film's director, Ava DuVernay?
GMR: Ava is a force of nature. I mean, she is passionate and smart . . . I remember she always said, "You can't keep knocking on doors in this industry; you have to build your own house." She lives by that, and she's making it happen. And I think that's incredibly inspiring.
PS: I've noticed a trend with a lot of your characters: to me, they seem to be very multifaceted and intersectional, especially, I think, when it comes to Black Mirror. It was so powerful to see a woman of color who's queer just owning herself on screen.
GMR: Oh, bless you! Thanks.
PS: I mean, do you find yourself seeking out roles like this? Or is this just how it's all been playing out?
GMR: Well, that idea of being intersectional, I think it's in my DNA . . . I think I always seek out complexity in my work. And to me, that's the stuff that's interesting. I think if anything is just too sort of well-trodden a path or two-dimensional, I'm just not interested. It doesn't capture my imagination. And I think we work so hard in this job. It's long hours, even though it looks fabulous and fun. It's a commitment.
PS: And speaking of Black Mirror, I want to talk about "Make Me Feel" by Janelle Monáe.
GMR: Oh my God! My friend said, "Have you seen the Janelle Monáe's 'San Junipero' references in her video?" I have to tell you when I saw Janelle a couple of years ago when "San Junipero" had come out, and we were talking about it. And we were both friends with Prince. And actually, the first time I met Janelle was with Prince. It was shortly after he passed away, and he was such a huge inspiration for me for that character of Kelly in the '80s and just the wardrobe.
I was telling her about it while we were shooting it, and I was like, "I can't wait for Prince to see this." And then he passed before it came out and I said to Janelle - this was after Hidden Figures - she was like, "Oh, my God. I've been watching 'San Junipero' on repeat." I said, "Oh, I wish Prince had seen it." And she said, "Don't worry. He's seen it." And she said it in that deep voice of hers. She was like, "He's seen it." It was like that "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" kind of moment.
PS: That is so incredible. I mean, Janelle Monáe, "San Junipero," all of these things are speaking to this new kind of feminine liberation. Even A Wrinkle in Time is filled with incredible women, with a young woman at the center, and it's directed by a woman. Do you feel like there's a sort of momentum happening?
GMR: Well, for me, I'm just excited. There's a girls' club now as well as a boys' club. And that's cool. I think there's a sense of unity. I think it's been a tough journey for everyone to get there, and we've had to sort of uncover a lot of things in dark places. But I think it's ultimately giving people a sense of courage and a sense of not feeling alone. And as I say, I just think the sense of community among women is blossoming, and I'm very thrilled about that.

It's been 21 years since we said goodbye to Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., and USA's Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. series has sparked renewed interest in the rappers' lives. One question that seems to keep coming up is how old Tupac and Biggie would be today. Tupac was born on June 16, 1971, which means he would have been turning 47 this year. Biggie, on the other hand, was born a year later on May 21, 1972, and would have been getting ready to ring in his 46th birthday.
Sadly, both Tupac and Biggie's lives were cut short when they were fatally shot on Sept. 13, 1996, and March 9, 1997, respectively. However, their legacy will forever live on in the history of hip-hop.

Stranger Things Crew Member Accuses Duffer Brothers of "Verbally Abusing Multiple Women"
A former crew member who reportedly worked on the set of Stranger Things has opened up about the abuse she witnessed during her time on the show, which was apparently so bad that she won't be returning for season three of Netflix's beloved sci-fi series. Peyton Brown, who works as a grip based out of Atlanta and has also been employed by The Walking Dead, took advantage of International Women's Day to share her experience on Instagram, noting that "TIME IS UP" for "the two men in high positions of power" who "seek out and verbally abuse multiple women" on the set.
Although she didn't name anyone in her caption or explain what was said during the instances of verbal abuse, Brown says she personally witnessed the behavior of the two men and couldn't wait any longer to speak out:
"I guess there's no better day than #nationalwomensday to say #timesup and announce that I will not be a part of the filming of Season 3 of Stranger Things. Why, you ask? Because I stand with my sisters. I personally witnessed two men in high positions of power on that set seek out and verbally abuse multiple women. I promised myself that if I were ever in a situation to say something that I would. I have 11.5 thousand followers who can hear me say this, TIME IS UP. Women in the film industry are POWERFUL. Some of her followers began commenting on the photo, asking her if she was referring to the show's creators, the Duffer brothers (aka Matt and Ross Duffer). She responded "yes, I am" to one person, then explained the alleged behavior to someone who asked how the Duffers abused women. "There was yelling, there were insults," Brown wrote back. "There were threats and people were even fired or forced to quit because of them."
So far, Netflix and the Duffer brothers have yet to respond to Brown's allegations, and she's since shut off the comment feature on her Instagram account.

Since making their debut in season one of This Is Us, the Pearson family have topped the charts as our favorite TV family. Well, we have news: they're expanding, ladies and gentlemen! The only thing is, we have a feeling it might get a little messy.
In the season two finale, which airs March 13, Kate and Toby are expected to walk down the aisle in a heartfelt ceremony as Mr. and Mrs. Damon, and we're finally meeting the people behind the great Toby. According to The Hollywood Reporter, we'll be introduced to Toby's parents in the final episode.
"We are throwing everyone together up at the family cabin for a very, very big celebratory occasion," Isaac Aptaker, coshowrunner, told the publication. "We're going to get to meet Toby's parents for the first time, which we're very excited about, and it's something we've wanted to do for quite a while on the show, and this felt like the perfect reason."
Toby's family aren't the only new additions, though! Apparently we're going to meet someone special from Beth's family, too. "We're also going to get to meet a member of Beth's extended family, which is something people always ask about," Aptaker continued. "They're always like, 'I want to meet her mom, I want to meet one of her sisters, I want to meet somebody,' so we are finally going to meet another person from Beth's world at the wedding."
But like any "big family event," there's bound to be a little drama. After piecing together the bits we know about both Toby and Beth's families, we have a feeling the producers are building up to something big. After Kate's miscarriage, Toby shared that he wasn't going to tell his mom because she was a devout Catholic and she wouldn't approve that they weren't married. Toby also opened up to his future brother-in-laws, Randall and Kevin, that he has a brother who's 10 years younger and "couldn't make it" to his bachelor party.

Emma Watson has had a very under-the-radar dating history, but the 27-year-old actress's relationship status is now making headlines after news broke that she is dating Chord Overstreet. The two were last spotted exiting Vanity Fair's Oscars party and, following the unexpected appearance, a source confirmed to Page Six that the two are indeed dating. "It's crazy but, yes, they are seeing each other, although Emma wants to keep things quiet and private," the source said.
Chord is actually one of the few fellow actors Emma has dated. (She most recently dated tech entrepreneur William Knight.) After modeling as a teenager, Chord booked a few small parts before landing the role of Sam Evans in Glee. The 29-year-old was introduced as a series regular in the second season and was a guest star in subsequent seasons.

We're guessing the conversation between the world's biggest "wanker," Arie Luyendyk Jr., and The Bachelor ring designer Neil Lane sounded something like that. It's only been two days, Bachelor Nation, but we've already seen two proposals and two gorgeous engagement rings . . . we think? After the 36-year-old race car driver proposed to Becca Kufrin on Monday night's episode, he popped the question yet again on Tuesday night during the live "After the Final Rose" episode. Now, every fan is whipping out their magnifying glass to take a closer look at the rings, which look suspiciously similar.
Following the on-air engagement, happy couple Arie and Lauren appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where the host drilled the couple with hard-hitting questions, like, "Did Neil Lane have to come up with two of these?!" Arie said yes, he did, and also shared that he didn't get the original ring back from Becca. (Insert fans begging Becca to pawn the rock.)
In an interview with People, the jewelry designer revealed that he had a weird feeling about Arie's indecisiveness, which he picked up on while they were discussing rings. Everything the Grey's Anatomy Cast Has Said About April and Arizona's Heartbreaking Exits
It's a pretty bleak and dreary day for Grey's Anatomy fans, who are losing not one but two major characters. ABC announced on Thursday that Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew are leaving the show, meaning season 14 is the last we'll see of their respective characters, Arizona and April. In the wake of the announcement, Capshaw shared her own heartbreak on Twitter, and Drew posted a statement of her own. Now, more and more of those involved with the show have begun to speak out. Patty Jenkins Confirms Kristen Wiig Will Play the Villain in Wonder Woman 2
Wonder Woman 2 has found its villain. The highly anticipated follow-up to 2017's ridiculously successful female-led superhero film will see the return of both star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins, and now the rumors that Saturday Night Live alum and Ghostbusters actress Kristen Wiig might play classic comic book villain Cheetah have been confirmed. Jenkins tweeted out the announcement on Friday, writing:
"So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It's true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family. Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. #Cheetah!!! @GalGadot"
In the comics, one of Cheetah's human alter egos is Dr. Barbara Minerva, a British archaeologist who will do practically anything to further her research. This drive leads her to an ancient lost city in the African jungle that's in the midst of a ritual for their cheetah god but is interrupted by invaders. Barbara demands to take the place in the ritual when everyone else is killed and is subsequently transformed into Cheetah, who has superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility, and senses, as well as claws and fangs.
Details about what exactly the sequel is about have been kept mostly under wraps until now, but we do know it will send Diana of Themyscira to an entirely new era. The story will take place in the '80s during the Cold War, so it will be interesting to see how she ends up intersecting with Cheetah.
Demi Lovato's Mom Is Hoping She Gets Back With Wilmer Valderrama: "I Do Like Them Together"
Demi Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, sat down with Access Live on Thursday and gave her thoughts about her daughter's ex-romance with Wilmer Valderrama. "I do like them together," she shared. "I have to be honest - I would be happy if they were together forever, but I don't know anything about a timeline or even if it's going to happen."
Dianna also revealed that she has hope for the former couple, who split back in June 2016 after six years of dating, saying, "They're amazing friends and hopefully one day it will be more than that. And if it's not, that will be up to her, I guess. But I do like them together."
The pair were most recently spotted dining together at Sol y Luna restaurant in LA, sparking rumors of a reconciliation, but according to Us Weekly, it wasn't the first time they've hung out together since calling it quits.
Demi admitted she was still in love with Wilmer in her 2017 YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated. "I think my heart is always with Wilmer," the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer confessed. "You don't share six years with somebody and not give them a piece of your heart and vice versa. Ellen Pompeo wants to remind Grey's Anatomy fans not to feed into gossip. The star of the medical drama took to Twitter to denounce a Deadline report that pointed out how her two female costars, Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw, are exiting the show in the wake of Pompeo's recent salary negotiation with ABC, which resulted in a $20 million per year payday.

Although the mom of three denies her pay raise was the cause of her costars being written out of the series, she did call it "unfortunate" that the publication would imply she had any say in their departure from the show.

Since the news broke about Drew and Capshaw - who play April and Arizona, respectively - exiting Grey's, several stars from the show have spoken out in support of their castmates.
