Even If You Don't Know What Phubbing Is, You're Probably Doing It

We see the pictures on Instagram all the time - you know, the ones documenting our latest meal and what we were doing on a certain day. Of course, what we forget is that we most likely took those photos in the presence of someone else, prioritizing our phone over spending time with them. Turns out that "phubbing," the term for someone who phone snubs you, can hurt your relationship, according to a study.

To begin, researchers at Baylor University surveyed 308 adults to develop a "Partner Phubbing Scale," which was made up of nine items that people in relationships said about their partner's smartphone use. This included actions we do all the time like placing our phone face up on a table or checking our phone if the conversation comes to a dead end. The second survey quantified these actions and found of the 145 adults surveyed, 46.3 percent said their significant other "phubbed" them. Though most of us would think that's fine as long as we're not on our phone for too long, it might not be since 36.6 percent said "phubbing" depressed them. And if that wasn't awful enough, 22.6 percent said it led to issues in their relationship.

"When you think about the results, they are astounding," said Dr. James A. Roberts, professor of marketing and lead researcher on the study, in a press release. "Something as common as cellphone use can undermine the bedrock of our happiness - our relationships with our romantic partners."

Yikes, guess we all definitely need to take a break from our phones every once in a while. Trust us, it's not as hard as you think it is, and hey, it could end up saving your relationship.

The $280 King-Size Bed Frame That Actually Saved Me Money

My boyfriend and I have been sleeping in a double bed together for a few years now, and while I want to say it's nice that we get the chance to be close at night, it's really just a nightmare. We are both "sideways" sleepers and move around a lot, and a double bed does not give us enough room. At last, we just finally moved into an apartment that has a large enough bedroom for us to upgrade to a king-size bed. I had been waiting so long for this that I was beyond excited.

When I started shopping for beds and mattresses, I was shocked at the prices. Considering the only bed set I had ever owned was purchased by my parents, I didn't know how much it was going to cost me. I decided to to splurge on a nicer mattress in the hopes I would have it for a long time, so I wanted save on my headboard and box spring set. Little did I know that was going to cost me another $500 or so, at the cheapest.

A friend has recently turned me on to shopping for furniture on Amazon, so I decided to take a gamble and check the site. Lo and behold, I found this Zinus Upholstered Platform Bed ($282). The reviews helped me make my decision - it has over 2,100 reviews and a 4.6-star rating. As I was reading the reviews, I noticed people said because of the wooden slats on this frame that I didn't need to purchase a box spring. The mattress could get the same amount of support by the platform bed's wooden slats. This was another money-saving win that finally convinced me to purchase the bed. An added bonus: I live in a city and didn't want to deal with the burden of a delivery. Ordering on Amazon Prime, it was simply delivered to my door within two days.

The bed arrived in a thin box and all the parts (there surprisingly weren't many) showed up in an efficiently packed set. We were able to quickly put together the bed within 15 minutes and I was shocked by how easy it was. It made me realize that not all cheap furniture has to be a disaster to assemble.

I've had the bed for about four months now, and I love it. It works in perfect harmony with my mattress, and by not having to purchase a box spring, I actually saved money.

12 Tips For Sleeping on a Plane Like a Pro

I'm an expert at sleeping on planes. I'm the worst travel companion, because when my head hits the back of those weird, bendable, and only slightly functional plane seat pillows, I'm out like a light. I always have these lofty goals of getting work done, making a dent in my book, or catching up on a movie I've been meaning to watch for months, but that almost never happens. Even if I don't immediately doze off, I'm able to get to sleep easily with a few little tricks that make the flight fly by . . . since I usually find myself waking up as we land.

If you are a nervous flyer or just can't ever seem to get comfortable enough to fall asleep on a plane, then here are some things to try that really work.

  1. Get a neck pillow. I know, they aren't necessarily the most stylish things in the world, and they can be annoying to carry around. But if you have a carry-on, it's easy to just hook the pillow around the handles of the suitcase, or tuck it in a bag (you can even get ones that inflate/deflate). If you get a bad seat or a terrible plane chair, then these are lifesavers when trying to fall asleep.
  2. Order a glass of wine. Some will say this isn't always your best bet for falling asleep, but I personally call bullsh*t. When there's turbulence and I'm starting to see my life flash before my eyes, a soothing glass of red wine (or a small bottle if the airline is doing it right) helps me relax and makes me nice and sleepy.
  3. Listen to a calming travel playlist. A calming playlist will help calm any nerves you may have - especially during takeoff. The music also helps drown out random plane noises that make you anxious, crying babies, or those loud talkers who don't seem to realize they are on a plane with 150-plus other people. Make sure to use the "download to phone" feature before you fly, otherwise you won't be able to access Spotify when you're in the air.
  4. Before leaving your house, download episodes of your favorite TV show. Instead of depending on the in-flight entertainment or downloading a movie you've never seen, choose something you have watched a million times and know you love, and download episodes to your iPhone or iPad so you can watch while you fly. This can be comforting and familiar since you've already seen the show, so you don't feel like you have to pay attention. It helps you relax and ultimately aids in sleep.
  5. Bring a book to read. I don't leave the house without some sort of access to several books, usually on my Kindle app on my phone or iPad. But when you're flying, bring a "real" book instead, so that the light of your phone/Kindle doesn't keep you awake. Make it a fun, light book - I'm talking a nice YA romance or comedic memoir . . . not Ulysses.
  6. Get an eye mask. Eye masks help block out lights from the window or your neighbor's TV, phone, iPad, computer, etc. They definitely help give the illusion that it's nighttime - even if it's not.
  7. Choose a window seat. Make sure when you book your flight that you pick a window seat if you can. If you aren't able to snag one, always check back the night before your flight when you go to check in; sometimes window seats have opened up if people switched their tickets/seats around. There's always hope!
  8. Don't nap the day of your flight. Try to do what you can to stay awake until the plane takes off so that you're totally exhausted by the time you sit down.
  9. Wear comfortable clothes. Wear clothes and shoes that you can move around comfortably in so that no matter what position you end up taking in your plane seat, you're able to relax and fall asleep.
  10. Bring a blanket. Or if you don't want to awkwardly carry around a big blanket, bring or wear a jacket, poncho, or sweater that serves well as a cover-up and can double as a blanket when you're cuddling up in your chair.
  11. Be open to paying for extra leg room. If you have a really hard time sleeping on a plane, upgrading to extra leg room (especially on a long flight) can make ALL the difference.
  12. Bring earbuds. ALWAYS. Without earbuds, sleep will most certainly elude you.

See the Places Barack and Michelle Called Home Before the White House

Until very recently, Barack and Michelle Obama have proudly called 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue "home." For almost a decade, not only has this monumental White House served as their living quarters and "office space," but it has been where they have raised two cute little girls into poised and well-rounded young women. And while they already have their new home post-White House, we were curious to know where Barack and Michelle lived before they both became staples of American history. Read on for an inside look at their digs long before we referred to this power couple as president and first lady.

Aren't You Lucky? Spring's 6 Biggest Bag Trends Appeal to Every Type of Girl

It seems like every season, the bag shapes on the runway get more inventive and eye-catching. It was definitely easy to reinvent the wheel for Spring 2018. Designers are offering geometric pouches we like to describe as "insanely cool" (hello, Danse Lente!), but iconic fashion houses are also bringing back the monogram logo, refreshing the most popular emblems in quirky ways, or just leaving them as is for the gals who are big fans of tried-and-true looks that date way, way back. In between, we've got pastel colorways, flashy stripes, and so much more - all of which you can shop at every price point ahead. No matter which bag you choose, you can rest assured you're on trend, but also just wearing what you like.

How to Wear Spring's Hottest Color Trend Without Looking Like an Easter Egg

As much as we relish a saturated, punchy pop of color, there's an equal amount of space in our hearts for pastels. These soft, powdery hues not only translate to Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, but also play nicely with many of our favorite fabrics (denim, for example).

We saw a slew of sorbets come down Spring/Summer 2018 runways - Tibi and Chloé included - and thus assembled your outfit and shopping guide to give a jump-start on your wardrobe for the season.

Hey, Ricky Bobby, Kendall Jenner's Race Car Jacket Is the "Best There Is" - Plain and Simple

If you didn't know Kendall Jenner loves cars, you either don't "keep up" or you don't follow her on Instagram. When she sat courtside with friends and sisters Kim and Kourtney at the CIF Open Division Playoffs at Sierra Canyon High School, she repped her race car love in a patchwork CITGO bomber. The supermodel, who made an appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty but was notably absent from the runways during Fall 2018 Fashion Week, completed her look with red checked pants, black booties, and a colorblock sweater. Of course, it was her coat that had us itching to shop, so read on to get inspired by some similar statement outerwear we found. On your mark . . . get set . . . well, you get it.

I Bought This $15 Bra on Amazon, and I'm Never Wearing Anything Else Again

I have a bust on the smaller side, and I don't need much support. I often find underwire bras are too uncomfortable and thin camis just aren't enough. I saw this Hanes Convertible Wire Free Bra ($15) bubbling up on Amazon recently and became curious. It had over 1,400 reviews and a 4.5-star rating, so I gave it a try.

This bra looks small and thin but it offers me so much support. The smooth straps are adjustable and don't cut into my skin, and the material is so silky-soft, I feel like I'm wearing nothing. Now I'm officially throwing out all my other ones and buying this in every color. The beige one is perfect to pair with all my light-colored tops, but it comes in four other cute colors, including pink. At this price, you can buy them all!

Iskra Lawrence's Secret For Wearing Devastatingly Sexy Thigh-High Slits

Iskra Lawrence got to create a fashion item with her own personal mantra splashed on the side in conjunction with her #AerieREAL Role Model campaign. She chose a pair of leggings with "Self-Made" written down the leg, and all proceeds go to NEDA, for which Iskra is an ambassador. Of course, the pants look comfortable enough to live in. But when we talked to Iskra, we looked beyond the bottoms and asked her for some pointers too.

She's constantly debuting cheeky suits on Instagram, rocking thigh-high - scratch that, hip-high - slits to events, and posting inspiring quotes dedicated to her fans. She's one of the most confident supermodels we've encountered, and we had to find out how she stays so on top of her game 24/7. Read on to find out a few of Iskra's style secrets (did you know she has to shop for strapless swimsuits only to avoid tan lines for work?!) and tuck them away in your back pocket ASAP.

Iskra Lawrence Has Worn Her "Miami Bikini" Twice, but We Think She Should Wear It Every Damn Day

Iskra Lawrence hits home when it comes to showing off her swimwear in Miami. After sporting this hot pink bow-adorned halter top and hipster bottom with ruching at the sides in December 2017, she packed it for a trip back to the getaway hot spot. In March 2018, Iskra looked just as gorgeous chilling poolside, her neon bikini popping against the blue water. If you like this silhouette and are attracted to bright colors that'd catch anyone's eye, take a tip from Iskra, and read on to shop for your next vacation - whether you're headed to Miami or hey, even just the hot tub.

Amal Clooney's Hot Pink Trousers Make Your Work Pants Look Far Too Ordinary

If ever you needed inspiration for how to reinvent your everyday wardrobe, look to Amal Clooney. The fashion-forward lawyer and activist stepped out in Beverly Hills wearing bright, cozy basics. On paper, each item might seem like loungewear or, at the very least, simplistic - a cute, slouchy tee with buckle straps, velour trousers, and sock booties - but Amal put everything together like a damn street style star.

She played up the bold color palette with a cherry red Givenchy Horizon bag ($1,390), a covetable item by anyone's standards. But it was her velvet pants that took us by surprise. We imagine they felt like pajamas, but Amal truly took them to the next level, further convincing us that your sweats can be elevated. (Just ask Kim Kardashian.) Ahead, catch another glimpse of Amal's look, then shop for similar bottoms to add to your wardrobe.

These Insanely Comfortable $80 Mules Are Quickly Taking Over the POPSUGAR Offices

One of the benefits of working at POPSUGAR is having so many stylish colleagues who are always willing to share fashion tips and product recommendations. Case in point: after spotting these Nine West Helmer Mules ($49-$79) on shopping editor Rebecca Brown, I accosted her for the details.

I bought them in metallic gold, loved them intensely, and had to go back for another pair - so I got them in white.

After sharing a photo of them in my Instagram story, a handful of colleagues in different locations, including director Lindsay Miller, messaged me asking for the make and model. More pairs have been purchased. The Helmer mules are now infiltrating POPSUGAR offices around the country; we've become the sisterhood of the traveling shoes!

If you're looking for an affordable way to get in on the mules trend, I highly recommend these. They're so comfortable (the heel is only two and a half inches), so sleek, and add instant polish to my T-shirt and jeans uniform. The on-trend pointy toe is dressy without being too formal, and they come in a variety of colors (and even a print). Shop them now, and don't blame us if you end up buying multiple pairs. Seriously, they're that good.

The Fashion World Did Not Keep Quiet on International Women's Day - No, Ma'am

In honor of International Women's Day and the contributions women have made - and will make - to the world, celebrities, style stars, and fashion designers posted on Instagram to voice their support. Emma Watson made a sartorial statement with a satin jacket to celebrate female photographers and storytellers. Gisele Bündchen shared a sweet photo with her daughter, Vivian, to promote love and compassion. Diane von Furstenberg inspired us to be brave.

How they each chose to pay tribute might have been different, but the message among the fashion community remained the same: when we champion women's rights and equality and keep the dialogue open, everybody wins. Read through the slideshow to see all of the inspirational messages that were shared.

Victoria Beckham Landed in Town With a Handful of Outfit Ideas Using Just 1 Sweater

When you find a piece you love, why not wear the heck out of it? That seemed to be Victoria Beckham's train of thought while in New York City. The star was spotted on two separate occasions in the same turtleneck sweater, and we took notice of how she styled it each time. When she first stepped out in the colorblock top, she had layered it under a polo for that '90s look. The peach and cream colors from her sweater mixed with her burgundy shirt quite nicely.

For her second outing, only days later, Victoria layered the two-tone sweater under a semi-sheer striped button-down. Given her neutral outfit, the turtleneck added some lovely pops of pastel hues. Both times, Victoria accessorized with sunglasses and her go-to black boots. Though we're guessing the star wore her sweater twice because she loved it, another more plausible reason might be related to traveling. (When you want to pack light, don't be afraid to rewear pieces!) Let Victoria show everyone how it's done, below. Then, shop similar colorblock sweaters for easy Winter layering.

Ashley Graham's Little Black Dress Is Unexpected, and So Is That Rock-Your-Socks-Off Cutout

Ashley Graham arrived at the International Women's Day United Nations Awards Luncheon to receive the first Women's Empowerment Award from the United Nations Women for Peace Association, and her outfit had our jaws on the floor. She looked like a woman ready to handle some business in a little black dress that we have convinced ourselves we need.

The 30-year-old rocked a Bianca and Bridgett Chloe Dress ($320) and paired it with intricate T-strap heels. Did you catch that price tag, though? The way the dress is crafted with that asymmetrical neckline and elegant sleeve detail, you might think it to be more expensive. Ashley was feeling her sophisticated dress, oozing confidence and sex appeal. Read on to see her in action, and get your hands on the exact same dress or a similar option.

We Forgot How Good Jennifer Garner's Red Carpet Style Is - Until We Saw Her Oscars Dress

The world seemed to stop when Jennifer Garner arrived on the 2018 Oscars red carpet in this rich blue Atelier Versace number. She instantly made our best dressed list, and not just because her color choice was bold but because she carried herself with confidence and looked superbly graceful. "Does she always appear so elegant at events?" we wondered. The answer is yes.

If you backtrack through Jennifer's style history, you'll find that even when she's in a neutral shade, such as black or champagne, Jennifer slips a silk scarf around her shoulders or opts for a delicate bag instead of something fierce. Her expression is always soft, but with a toned body like hers, she strikes a sexy tone when she's in the mood for something formfitting. Ahead, catch a glimpse of some of her finest fashion moments.

Celebrities Have Not Forgotten About the Time's Up Movement - Just Look at Their Oscars Accessories

After wearing all black for the Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards, A-listers are using accessories to show their support for the Time's Up movement. Although there was no #TimesUp dress code for the Oscars, that didn't stop celebrities from finding ways to stand up for the important cause on the red carpet and at the afterparties. Elisabeth Moss styled a pin on the belt of her off-the-shoulder gown, while Emma Watson styled her dress with a Time's Up temporary tattoo. Read on to see which stars proudly wore their Time's Up accessories on the red carpet.

Hot Diggity Dog, Queen Elizabeth - If It Isn't a Gold Metallic Handbag You're Carrying!

There's no denying that Queen Elizabeth has always been a contender in style stakes. Her outfits might be demure and sophisticated, but she nails it every time, and her recent ensemble was no exception. However, while she dazzled in a pink and gold floor-length gown, it's her custom gold Launer bag that really caught our eye. The style and shape are classic, but the color? That's a bit of a departure from the norm for our Liz.

That being said, seeing as Kate Middleton has been picking up style tips from Meghan Markle, perhaps the queen's also been sartorially inspired by her granddaughter-in-law-to-be? After all, Meghan has quite the handbag collection.

Whatever color she goes for, the queen is never without her purse and it's not just for show - she's got to have somewhere to keep her lipstick and ironed money. Maybe it's just a matter of time before we see the queen accessorizing with a crossbody bag? One can only hope. Ahead, get a closer look at her gold purse, then shop similar options to copy her excellent style.

This Model Walked Up a Marble Staircase in the Most Enchanting Wedding Dress

Some wedding dresses are so beautiful, they stop you in your tracks. That's exactly what happened when we saw model Yoyo Tang's La Sposa gown. She got married in a poufy, lace ensemble that looked especially stunning from the back (she has a 'gram to prove it). The wedding dress, however, wasn't the only option she kept on hand for the big day. The bride wore not one but four different looks total.

After the ceremony, Yoyo had pink and silver beaded gowns lined up to take the dance floor. She posed with friends and family against a floral backdrop, and with each outfit change, the dresses just got better and better. It appears Yoyo lucked out with finding so many pretty wedding outfits, so scroll on to see them all. Then check out even more extravagant bridal looks.

Don't Get It Twisted! Selena and Justin Are Reportedly on a Break, but It's Not a Breakup

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber rekindled their romance in November, but just five months later, the two have reportedly decided to take a break.

"They were having a lot of little disagreements recently and one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to 'break up,' however, they've been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed," a source told E! News. "They will absolutely get back together and they are not over, but they both need some time away from each other."

The two decided early on that, this time around, they would be keep their relationship "low-key," but that didn't stop them from being seen out together. In February, Selena attended Justin's dad's wedding in Jamaica, and the duo even celebrated Valentine's Day in LA together. Ever since Selena and Justin started dating, her relationship with her mom, Mandy Teefy, hasn't been the greatest. Mandy was reportedly not happy the two got back together and it has put a strain on their relationship. This is something Selena was allegedly struggling with while being with Justin, along with the fact that the public has been so interested in them.

"They both have expressed that they have been feeling overwhelmed with a lot of pressure that has come with their public relationship, and haven't been seeing eye to eye on things," another source told E! News. A little space never hurt anybody, now we will just have to wait and see what Selena and Justin do moving forward.

Watching Demi Lovato Take Off Her Makeup Is Oddly Satisfying - We Can't Look Away

Demi Lovato loves posting makeup-free selfies on Instagram, and now we have a video of her removing her makeup that we can rewatch forever and ever. The 25-year-old sat down with Vogue and took off her makeup, one wipe at a time, and even went as far as to remove her hair extensions.

The final result was a radiant, fresh-faced Demi with short hair, in a white tee, and her signature smile. The recording playing in the background will put you in a trance and make you want to watch this video over and over again. Check it out above!

Francia Raisa Reveals the Surgery Complication That Left Selena Gomez "Really Scared"

Francia Raisa recently opened up about the kidney transplant she and Selena Gomez underwent last year, and it sounds like things were a lot more complicated than you might realize. Shortly after Selena made the news of their surgery public, she explained to Today's Savannah Gunthrie how she was "freaking out" about the six-hour procedure because of her "flipped" kidney. Now her close friend, Francia, has detailed just how anxious the both of them were after the surgery was complete in an interview with W magazine.

"Recovery was hard," she said. "I didn't want to eat, I didn't want to drink anything. Selena did have a complication, too. A few hours after our surgery, I woke up and had a text from her that said, 'I'm really scared.' My kidney was very active, and when it turned I broke an artery. They had to take her into emergency surgery and get a vein from her leg and build a new artery to keep my kidney in place. She could have died."

While speaking with Good Morning America about the kidney transplant, which Selena needed due to her struggle with Lupus, the 25-year-old "Wolves" singer noted how most surgeries of that kind only take two hours. "I'm very grateful that there are people who know what to do in that situation," she said.

Fortunately the Grown-ish star was there for her longtime pal and made sure that Selena was the one who'd decide when to tell the world about what they'd experienced.

"We didn't want to tell anybody because recovery was very hard for us, and we went through a depression at the time. We kind of just wanted to be normal and not have that attention on us," Francia told W. "I really left it up to her. I've never had anything personal come out about me before. I've dated very famous people, and no one knows because I'm very private. I was like, 'Did you have to be famous?'"

Since the transplant, Selena has been hard at work on a new album and even reunited with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber. The two are reportedly on a break at the moment, but luckily it seems Selena will always have someone to turn to thanks to her close bond with Francia.

Demi Lovato's Mom Is Hoping She Gets Back With Wilmer Valderrama: "I Do Like Them Together"

Demi Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, sat down with Access Live on Thursday and gave her thoughts about her daughter's ex-romance with Wilmer Valderrama. "I do like them together," she shared. "I have to be honest - I would be happy if they were together forever, but I don't know anything about a timeline or even if it's going to happen."

Dianna also revealed that she has hope for the former couple, who split back in June 2016 after six years of dating, saying, "They're amazing friends and hopefully one day it will be more than that. And if it's not, that will be up to her, I guess. But I do like them together."

The pair were most recently spotted dining together at Sol y Luna restaurant in LA, sparking rumors of a reconciliation, but according to Us Weekly, it wasn't the first time they've hung out together since calling it quits.

Demi admitted she was still in love with Wilmer in her 2017 YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated. "I think my heart is always with Wilmer," the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer confessed. "You don't share six years with somebody and not give them a piece of your heart and vice versa. I'm pretty sure I am not going to meet anybody that compares to him, but I'm trying to keep an open heart and an open mind when it comes to that."

Maybe there is a second chance at love for Demi and Wilmer after all.

If We Were Selena Gomez, We'd Be Wearing This Cozy Cardigan Every Day, Too

While running some errands in Los Angeles, Selena Gomez was seen wearing a striped black and white t-shirt with a pair of comfortable leggings. Selena, who's the brand ambassador for Puma, styled her casual outfit with a pair of white lace and velcro sneakers from the brand.

For a sparkly accessory, she wore a silver anklet on top of her sleek white kicks and pulled her white socks over her leggings. She finished her weekend-ready outfit off with an oversize brown and white tote bag, Krewe sunglasses, hoops, and the coziest beige cardigan we've ever seen. Read on to buy Selena's exact cardigan from Free People, and shop similar options ahead.

No, You're Not Seeing Things - Selena Gomez Is Actually Wearing Mismatched Boots

Selena Gomez doesn't wear just any pair of black boots, and we wouldn't expect her to. The singer was spotted leaving a church service alone while boyfriend Justin Bieber was seen leaving moments later. For the service, Selena wore a long beige cardigan with a J Brand black tee and high-waisted jeans. She accessorized her casual outfit with a pair of gold hoop earrings, a brown shoulder bag, and a very interesting pair of ankle boots.

When we zoomed in to take a closer look, we noticed that Selena was actually wearing a pair of mismatched ankle boots. One of her boots featured a cool chain-link design, while the other one didn't. (Of course, it's totally possible Selena slipped her chunky anklet around the shoe.) This isn't the first time Selena has sported the fun footwear trend, as she previously wore a pair of mismatched Jacquemus heels on the red carpet. Read on to get a closer look at Selena's eye-catching boots and buy similar styles.

Demi Lovato Reveals That a "Complete B*tch" Nearly Ruined Her Sobriety at the 2016 Met Gala

Demi Lovato has been open about her struggles with mental health and addiction, but even though she's been sober for almost six years now, a "complete b*tch" almost caused her to fall off the wagon in 2016. In a new interview with Billboard, the 25-year-old recalled her "terrible experience" at the Met Gala that year. "This one celebrity was a complete b*tch and was miserable to be around," Demi said. "It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink."

Instead of hitting the bar, Demi texted her manager and headed straight to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 10 p.m. "I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on - millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting," Demi said. "And I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala."

While Demi didn't name anyone directly, it just so happens that her feud with Nicki Minaj started that same night. It all began when the rapper posted an Instagram photo with designer Jeremy Scott and Demi at the Met Gala (he dressed them both for the evening), but only tagged Jeremy. Demi then commented on Nicki's photo with a laughing emoji, a peace sign, and a thumbs up, before posting her own picture showing Nicki giving her some serious side eye.

"This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met 😂😂😂 #cool #sof*ckingawkward #notforme #sweatpants #forensicfiles #whatsgood," Demi captioned it. "P.S. some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke.. I'm obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life 🙌🏼😂."

Hmm . . . interesting.

Mindy Kaling Jokes Stephen Colbert's Baby Gift "Straight Up Sucks" Compared to Oprah's

Apologies to Stephen Colbert, but did he really think he was going to be able to out-gift Oprah? The talk show host recently had Mindy Kaling on as a guest, where she couldn't help but admit that when it comes to baby gifts, Oprah reigns supreme. Apparently Stephen sent the Champions actress "very nice" and "very old-fashioned" baby clothes for her 2-month-old daughter, Katherine, from his home town in South Carolina, which didn't hold a candle to her A Wrinkle in Time costar's custom bookshelf.

"It straight up sucks compared to what Oprah gave me. And I mean that with love, OK?" she joked during her Thursday night appearance on The Late Show. "If I'm crossing the Titanic with my baby, hoping for a new future for myself, this is the outfit I put her in. There's a black and white photo of me and my baby, hoping for a new [life]."

While old-timey baby clothes sound pretty damn cute, if we're being honest, Oprah's elaborate, hand-carved bookshelf filled with classic books for Mindy's daughter is next level. Clearly Stephen will just have to coordinate with her next time.

I Finally Found a Pair of Black Jeans That Don't Fade - and They're Only $68

Wearing black jeans on repeat has always been my go-to look. The only downfall is constantly having to purchase new ones because they always end up fading. Earlier this year, Everlane launched its affordable denim line, and it didn't take long for me to purchase the Modern Boyfriend Jean in black ($68).

The brand touts that the jeans are made with a "Stay Black dye" that helps them remain darker for longer. They come in three different fits: high- and mid-rise skinny and the modern boyfriend. I decided on the boyfriend style because I have a ton of skinny jeans and wanted to try something else. In my usual size, they ended up looking a bit baggy, so I sized down - they fit me more like the perfect straight leg as opposed to a loose-fit pair, which I liked even more.

Months later, these are my favorite everyday pants. Not only are they comfortable, but the material is soft. The have a lot of give, but they don't stretch out throughout the day. I wear them with everything from heels on nights out with my friends or sneakers to work. I've washed them a handful of times (even in the dryer!) and the color looks the same as the when I first bought them. I'll probably end up treating myself to a skinny pair ($68) too.

They also come in white ($68) and classic denim shades ($68) if you'd like to give a few different pairs a try.

What Kiss? Veronica Lodge's Sexy 1-Piece Is the Real Reason It's Getting Hot in Here

Things are heating up on the hit CW show Riverdale, and the same could be said of Veronica Lodge's style. The show's creator, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, sent fans into a frenzy when he posted a screenshot of Jughead and Veronica sharing a steamy kiss. While everyone was freaking out over the duo's kiss, we were busy trying to figure out where Veronica got that one-piece from.

Veronica is known for her impeccable fashion sense, with many even comparing her style to Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf. During the scene, she wore a navy one-piece that featured a deep neckline and light blue piping. When Veronica turned around, we saw that her one-piece actually featured a sexy crisscross detail at the back. Read on to get a closer look at her swimsuit and buy similar styles.

Rihanna's New Fenty x Puma Campaign Is Every Bit as Badass as She Is

After riding a motorcycle during her Fall 2018 show, we knew Rihanna had cemented her place as one of the most badass designers of all time. (The singer actually had stunt performers ride dirt bikes over glittery, pink sand dunes during the show.)

For her Spring 2018 collection, Rihanna drew inspiration from both the motorsport and the beach with an array of gender-fluid silhouettes. You can expect to find a range of vibrant designs that run the gamut from purple race suits to oversize hoodies. As for shoes, Riri continued to stick with the sporty theme, but gave her classic Fenty creepers a fun PVC twist. Keep reading to have a first look at the collection, which is set to hit retailers on March 15.

Jennifer Lawrence Wore a Slip and a T-Shirt (That's All!), and It Actually Looked Damn Good

After wearing countless glamorous red carpet dresses to promote her film Red Sparrow, then arriving to the Oscars in yet another stunning Dior number, Jennifer Lawrence probably needed a break from over-the-top outfits. But it's not like she chose sweatpants when she stepped out to run errands in Westwood, CA. Instead, Jennifer proved she's still "in the fashion game," smartly layering a loose t-shirt over a silk slip, which is a very Carrie Bradshaw move, in our opinion.

The result was effortless, but seeing as that this combination was pretty simple, Jennifer opted for some dark accessories: a netted newsboy cap, a beaded necklace, a chain-strap shoulder bag, and a pair of oxford flats. Now we are definitely in favor of coordinating an outfit around this sexy, casual combination, so we shopped for some similar items for you. Go on, make "the off-duty J Law" your own.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw Is Seeking Complexity, and A Wrinkle in Time Is No Exception

If you don't know who Gugu Mbatha-Raw is by now, you have some serious explaining to do. The actress has more than a decade of credits including Belle, Doctor Who, and Beauty and the Beast. Even in the past few years alone, Mbatha-Raw has rapidly become more and more well-known. This is due in large part to a very special Black Mirror episode called "San Junipero" that got a lot of attention for its delightful interracial lesbian romance and mold-breaking happy ending. Correction: a very special Emmy-winning episode of Black Mirror.

While Mbatha-Raw had a pretty impressive résumé before Black Mirror, the show marked a real turning point for her. That specific role turned her into somewhat of a Netflix darling. We're only a few months into 2018, after all, and she's been a part of had two new releases from the streaming giant. She appeared in the cast of The Cloverfield Paradox, which Netflix dropped out of nowhere after the Super Bowl, and she's also in the new tearjerker Irreplaceable You with regulation hottie Michiel Huisman.

Now we have her next big project: A Wrinkle a Time. Mbatha-Raw plays Kate Murry, the brilliant scientist who is raising our young hero, Meg. With this role, it's hard not to notice a pattern in Mbatha-Raw's work: she often seems to inhabit these women with astonishing depth and authenticity. Kelly in "San Junipero," Hamilton in The Cloverfield Paradox, Abbie in Irreplaceable You, even going back to Dido in Belle - these are women who are multifaceted and intersectional in their own unique and brilliant ways. Ahead of A Wrinkle in Time's release, we sat down with Mbatha-Raw to talk about all these things - her career, the power of her roles, and even a new Janelle Monáe music video inspired by Black Mirror.

POPSUGAR: This film struck me as such an important moment in a lot of ways. What was it like to see this come to life and to be a part of this?

Gugu Mbatha-Raw: I think it's culturally significant that little girls will just be looking at Storm as . . . symbolically, subconsciously, an emblem of what is their potential to achieve. So, yeah, it's totally not wasted on me that this is happening now. Ava [DuVernay] is directing it. This cast celebrates the world that we live in . . . I think for me what really resonates is not just the power of women, but that who you are is enough.

PS: Did you find it challenging to communicate the depth of your character, Kate, in such small moments? What was your approach for that?

GMR: I suppose I sort of felt like my job was to provide the grounding sense of reality in this fantastical world. Even though she is a doctor and a scientist, most of the scenes are in the home, in the mother role. But yeah, for me, it was sort of keeping it real and creating that family dynamic and understanding. This sort of strong, warm, intellectual sort of sanctuary that they were all from and why they would want to come back to it.

PS: What was it like working with the film's director, Ava DuVernay?

GMR: Ava is a force of nature. I mean, she is passionate and smart . . . I remember she always said, "You can't keep knocking on doors in this industry; you have to build your own house." She lives by that, and she's making it happen. And I think that's incredibly inspiring.

PS: I've noticed a trend with a lot of your characters: to me, they seem to be very multifaceted and intersectional, especially, I think, when it comes to Black Mirror. It was so powerful to see a woman of color who's queer just owning herself on screen.

GMR: Oh, bless you! Thanks.

PS: I mean, do you find yourself seeking out roles like this? Or is this just how it's all been playing out?

GMR: Well, that idea of being intersectional, I think it's in my DNA . . . I think I always seek out complexity in my work. And to me, that's the stuff that's interesting. I think if anything is just too sort of well-trodden a path or two-dimensional, I'm just not interested. It doesn't capture my imagination. And I think we work so hard in this job. It's long hours, even though it looks fabulous and fun. It's a commitment.

PS: And speaking of Black Mirror, I want to talk about "Make Me Feel" by Janelle Monáe.

GMR: Oh my God! My friend said, "Have you seen the Janelle Monáe's 'San Junipero' references in her video?" I have to tell you when I saw Janelle a couple of years ago when "San Junipero" had come out, and we were talking about it. And we were both friends with Prince. And actually, the first time I met Janelle was with Prince. It was shortly after he passed away, and he was such a huge inspiration for me for that character of Kelly in the '80s and just the wardrobe.

I was telling her about it while we were shooting it, and I was like, "I can't wait for Prince to see this." And then he passed before it came out and I said to Janelle - this was after Hidden Figures - she was like, "Oh, my God. I've been watching 'San Junipero' on repeat." I said, "Oh, I wish Prince had seen it." And she said, "Don't worry. He's seen it." And she said it in that deep voice of hers. She was like, "He's seen it." It was like that "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" kind of moment.

PS: That is so incredible. I mean, Janelle Monáe, "San Junipero," all of these things are speaking to this new kind of feminine liberation. Even A Wrinkle in Time is filled with incredible women, with a young woman at the center, and it's directed by a woman. Do you feel like there's a sort of momentum happening?

GMR: Well, for me, I'm just excited. There's a girls' club now as well as a boys' club. And that's cool. I think there's a sense of unity. I think it's been a tough journey for everyone to get there, and we've had to sort of uncover a lot of things in dark places. But I think it's ultimately giving people a sense of courage and a sense of not feeling alone. And as I say, I just think the sense of community among women is blossoming, and I'm very thrilled about that.
