How to Be the Hottest Babe at the Pool Party: Wear Ashley Graham's Bikini

After spending some time working, modeling Swimsuits For All designs on the beach in Miami, Ashley Graham met up with her friends. The group posted shots on Instagram lounging poolside, practicing the "Bambi pose" in their trendy cut two-pieces and maillots. While Ashley's friends looked sleek in their one-pieces, don't get us wrong: it was Ashley's pink crochet bikini (which, ahem, she designed herself) that so clearly stole the spotlight.

Zoom in, and you'll find both the top and bottom to be crocheted with tiny white triangles along the edges, adding a girlie touch to the already feminine silhouette that's secured with bows. If you love Ashley's suit, we've got great news: it's on sale at Swimsuits For All, and we also found a handful of options that come close.

Finally! The Perfect Work Bag That Fits Your Laptop and Looks Stylish

If you're anything like me, your everyday handbag is your life. I carry all my must haves, from my gym shoes to my laptop and half my makeup collection. I've spent years searching for the perfect commute bag, and at long last I discovered this Cuyana Oversized Carryall Tote ($265). Finally something that is worth the price!

There are a few requirements I look for in the ideal bag. Firstly, a tote silhouette is a must because it's so simple to dig through and carry. I also like a good, quality leather that I know will last. Additionally, I'd like something I can mix and match with all my outfits yet still look stylish with.

This bag has two added bonuses that completely sold me: a zipper and a crossbody strap. Being able to close the top is great for security reasons, especially when you take public transportation. The strap is a total selling point because it's rare to find large bags with them. You can use it as an overnight bag or it's great on the plane when you're traveling. It's even large enough for a 15-inch laptop!

I've had my bag for a while now and can't get over how much I love it. It's comfortable and looks chic, and people constantly ask me where it's from. I love the beige shade, but it also comes in white, navy, and black. So stop carrying that old bag you hate and treat yourself to this convenient and cool choice.

Nutritionist Says This Digestive Issue Could Be Causing Your Bloating, Bad Mood, and Acne

Feeling a bit sick lately? Bad mood or low energy? Can't quite put your finger on it? Perhaps you've had digestive distress, despite not changing your diet at all. According to clinical nutritionist and detox specialist Autumn Bates, BS, CCN, there's a culprit behind your physical depletion, but you may not have heard of it: leaky gut syndrome.

What Is Leaky Gut Syndrome?

The theory is that there's permeability in your intestinal lining, and points called "tight junctions" are opened and compromised. "Leaky gut is where the lining of your intestines begin to form larger holes so that food that hasn't been fully digested passes through into your blood stream," said Bates. "This can lead to food allergies and sensitivities as well as inflammation throughout your entire body."

Why haven't you heard about it before? Your doctor may not know about it - or necessarily believe in it. "From an MD's standpoint, it's a very gray area," gastroenterologist Donald Kirby, MD, told WebMD. "Physicians don't know enough about the gut, which is our biggest immune system organ." Different organizations take different stances, so it can be a confusing topic all around.

How Does This Happen?

"Scientists don't know the exact cause of leaky gut," said Bates, "but a few strong suspects are GMO and nonorganic foods as well as stress."

Other factors that some sources say contribute to leaky gut include alcohol, sugar, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), and nutrient deficiencies.

Symptoms

This can vary, but it usually results in digestive distress. "Common signs and symptoms usually include bloating, various food sensitivities and/or allergies, acne, headaches, and even hormone imbalances," said Bates. Some naturopathic practitioners say that this can impact your mood, thanks to the hormonal imbalances - and one study even linked gut permeability with depression.

A 2013 study showed that intestinal permeability is linked with gastric ulcers, diarrhea, IBS, IBD, celiac disease, allergies, infections, arthritis and chronic inflammation, metabolic diseases, and even cancer, though there are not many studies backing these claims up individually.

What Should You Do?

"If you suspect you have leaky gut, it's best to see a professional who is well-versed in leaky gut and its symptoms in order to reverse it," said Bates. But there are a handful of things she suggests you try at home as well!

"A few steps you can take on your own to prevent leaky gut and reverse it include switching your diet to all-organic, removing potential allergens and foods that cause bloating, try taking collagen or sipping on bone broth daily, and taking a strong probiotic - 50 billion CFU is great," she said. "Intermittent fasting is another tool that can be used to give your gut a rest from digestion and allow it to heal itself."

One last step? "You may want to look into pairing your gut health with an elimination diet for two to three weeks," Bates suggested. "This will help to reduce gut irritation and inflammation while you repair your gut."

The "Slow and Steady" Nutrition Plan That Helped Jessie Lose 130 Pounds

2-Week Weight-Loss Plan: Vegetarian Dinners Under 300 Calories

While eating at night won't cause weight gain, eating a large meal that makes you exceed your daily calorie intake will. If you want to drop pounds, try this tactic: make lunch and breakfast your largest meals of the day, and make dinner a smaller meal (about 25 percent of your daily calories). Consuming more before a light dinner ensures you have enough time to burn all those calories.

If you're used to eating big meals at night and are at a loss for what to make, here's a two-week (14-day) dinner plan - all recipes are vegetarian and around 300 calories. And since meat-free meals are chock-full of fiber, you'll feel full longer, which is one way to prevent weight gain from late-night snacking. Take a peek at these 14 recipes, and make a list so you can hit the grocery store on Sunday, prep your ingredients, and be ready to lose weight!

3 Simple Habits That Help Me Manage My Mental Health Every Day

If you suffer from anxiety or depression, you might find your mental health affecting different areas of your life when left unchecked. As someone who gets the blues often regardless of the time of year or what's going on in my life, I've found that the key to starting and ending every day on the right foot means relying on a few daily rituals.

Sleep More

Fatigue and sleeplessness are considered common symptoms of depression, so getting enough sleep is something I prioritize. It helps me feel less lethargic and more excited to face the day. When I'm stressed about something or going through a busy period, sleep tends to fall by the wayside, and my resulting tiredness can heighten my feelings of anxiety. Making sure I get enough sleep is as simple as setting up a bedtime alert on my iPhone that lets me know 20 minutes before I have to be in bed if I want to hit my sleep goal.

Be Active

If feeling lazy and unproductive is a trigger for you, making time to do something that gives you a sense of accomplishment can be a way around that. In the past, I've put myself down and forced myself into a punishing workout to make up for simply missing a Spin class or not getting up early enough to work out. When I know there's absolutely no way to squeeze a workout into my day and don't want to deal with the emotional fallout of feeling unaccomplished, I do small things like walk up the escalators rather than stay stationary and walk the long way home rather than get the bus.

Blast Some Music

While it may seem rude to most people, plugging my earphones in and listening to my favorite tunes helps to focus and calm me when I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed during my workday. It's also no secret that listening to music can trigger the release of happy hormones in your brain, which makes you feel loved and increases your sense of well-being.

Everything You Need to Know About Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, and the 2016 Trump Campaign

Facebook is once again in the hot seat after it was revealed on March 17 that the social media platform released the personal information of 50 million users ahead of the 2016 presidential election - without permission.

The allegations are based in Facebook's involvement with Cambridge Analytica, a voter profiling company - backed by billionaire Robert Mercer and Brietbart's Steve Bannon - that harvested user information without permission as far back as 2014. News of this practice has been discussed in relationship to the Trump campaign since 2016, but thanks to an explosive New York Times exposé, the story is once again gaining international attention and concern. Most notable about the Times story is former Cambridge Analytica employee Christopher Wylie's insights, such as the fact that he revealed that Facebook had knowledge of the problem for years - and refused to acknowledge it publicly.

The problem all stems from Cambridge Analytica's repeated attempts to target Facebook users by gleaning information about their identities - things like the pages users "liked" on Facebook and opinions they shared on the platform - in order to cater political advertising to them. The firm and those involved told Facebook - and 270,000 users who consented for their information to be obtained - that they were seeking data to be collected for use in academic research, but instead that data was actually used by the 2016 Trump campaign and other Republican efforts to effectively target voters via digital advertising.

The surfacing of this story has raised major questions by American and British lawmakers, many of whom have demanded that Facebook explain its role in data mining. Various voices have spoken out about this problem, including Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who asked for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to testify before Senate Judiciary Committee regarding "misusing data from 50 million Americans in order to target political advertising and manipulate voters." Vera Jourová, the justice commissioner for the European Union, echoed this sentiment in a tweet, saying simply, "Horrifying, if confirmed . . . We don't want this in the EU."

Wylie, who is seen as a major whistleblower in this still-unfolding saga, is speaking out to various outlets about the problem in the hopes of illuminating the public - particularly Facebook users - about the usage of their personal data and politics. "This data was used to create profiling algorithms that would allow us to explore mental vulnerabilities of people and then map out ways to inject information into different streams," Wylie told Today on March 19. "This is a company that really took fake news to the next level." Wylie also stressed the ties between Cambridge and Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump's 2016 campaign manager who Donald Trump fired due to his concerns of how he would handle campaigning nationally.

Facebook has long been held accountable for the platform's effect on the 2016 election, from spreading fake news to enabling Russian meddling. Today, the website has billions of users worldwide - with 1.4 billion active daily - and in America, Facebook is the most widely used social media platform, according to the Pew Research Center. Moreover, over two-thirds of Americans adults get their news from social media, thus highlighting the severity and reach of social networks in spreading information and the urgency behind the need to find solutions for this huge, ongoing threat to American democracy.

Everyone Needs to Read This Woman's Warning About Losing Your iPhone

When one Twitter user picked up a forgotten phone in the bathroom, her first thought was to use Siri as a way to return the phone to its owner. Even though the iPhone was locked, she was able to find the owner - and discover personal information like her address, name, and where her car was parked. Now, she's warning people to turn off this feature in case your phone ends up in the wrong hands.

Twitter user afronomics_ found a lost iPhone in the bathroom. The Twitter user asked Siri "What's my name?" and "Who do I call the most?" to figure out who the phone belonged to. With these two questions, she was able to find out the person's name, address, and where her car was parked.

Once the iPhone owner came back to get her phone, the Twitter user told her about all the information she could pull up with Siri. Naturally, the girl was scared and changed her settings.

If you're spooked too, follow the steps ahead to turn off three settings. To disable Siri access when your iPhone is locked, go to Settings > Siri > and Access When Locked and swipe left. Repeat the same steps with the setting Allow "Hey Siri." You should also turn off access to "Today View," which can hold information like your calendar, your favorite contacts to call, and more. To do this, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and swipe left on "Today View" and "Notifications View."

Don't delay, and do this right now. No one should have access to this information so easily.

If You're Bumped From a Flight Involuntarily, Here's What the Airline Must Do

Lost baggage, long security lines, and annoying fellow passengers - traveling isn't always as glamorous as we make it out to be in our heads, and unexpected inconveniences are pretty common, especially with air travel. One of the most frustrating - and trip-altering - things that can happen is getting involuntarily bumped from your flight. Didn't know that was a thing? Oh, yes, it most definitely is.

Airlines often overbook flights because no-shows are relatively common, and by overbooking, they can ensure that they're getting the most money per flight by booking full flights so that even if some people back out, they are still filling those empty seats. Because the US Department of Transportation has cracked down on what airlines are required to do in a overbooking situation, getting bumped from a flight is less common now but still possible. Ever heard an airline employee asking for volunteers who are willing to be bumped in exchange for vouchers or other compensation? It's because that bidding war will often still cost the airline less than if they didn't get enough volunteers and then have to resort to bumping passengers involuntarily.

As a customer, you are entitled to compensation - sometimes monetary - for being bumped if you didn't volunteer to be. The whole thing is pretty complicated, so buckle up and read on for what to do if your flight (departing from the US) is overbooked and you're voted off the island . . . I mean, the plane.

You must be given a written statement of your rights.

Airlines are required to give a passenger being bumped a statement of their rights. The document will also explain how the carrier decides who gets to fly on an overbooked flight and who doesn't.

You don't get any compensation AT ALL if . . .

If the airline is able to rebook you on a flight that gets you to your destination within one hour of when you would have gotten there anyway, then you will not receive any compensation.

If you want cash, ask for it!

Assuming the airline can't rebook you on a flight that gets you to your destination within an hour of the original time, you should ask for cold, hard cash if you want it. Airlines are more likely to offer vouchers or plane tickets for future flights, but you can also receive monetary compensation in certain cases.

The airline must pay you an amount equal to 200 percent of your original one-way fare if . . .

According to US Department of Transportation, if the airline is able to arrange substitute transportation that arrives at your destination between one and two hours after your original arrival time (between one and four hours on international flights), then "the airline must pay you an amount equal to 200 percent of your one-way fare to your final destination that day, with a $675 maximum."

The airline must pay you an amount equal to 400 percent of your original one-way fare if . . .

If the rebooked flight gets you to your destination more than two hours later (four hours internationally) OR if they don't make any alternative arrangements for you, then you're entitled to 400 percent of your one-way fare, with a $1,350 maximum.

You can also get reimbursed for any other additional services you paid for.

If, on your original flight, you paid for any extras (such as seat upgrade or checked baggage) and you didn't receive those services on your rebooked flight - or if you had to pay for these services again in order to receive them - then the airline that bumped you must refund you that amount.

Ask for vouchers!

Airlines will sometimes offer vouchers for food, hotels, and transportation if you are going to have a long layover as a result of getting bumped. Make sure to explore your options so you can get the most out of a sh*tty situation.

You don't get ANYTHING if you missed your check-in deadline for your original flight.

If you snooze, you majorly lose. Make sure you know (and follow!) your airline's check-in rules, because if you miss your check-in time and are involuntarily bumped, "you may have lost your reservation and your right to compensation if the flight is oversold," says the US Department of Transportation.

17 People Who Emoji Better Than You

Reason 3,937 we love emoji: they tell a story. Whether that's a story about what's wrong with your life or a story about how you danced your butt off last night, those little symbols capture so much significance.

22 Hobbies For People Who Really Love to Be Alone

Introvert problems are a real thing, and while it's not that we dislike people, we just prefer (and need) our alone time. While we're totally happy to spend time with our friends, it's the things we do by ourselves that we really love. There are so many ways to benefit from solo hobbies, so we've rounded up some good ideas for single-person fun.

  1. Take up photography. Photography allows you to see the world from a different perspective, and while it can involve interacting with others if you choose, it can also be a form of expression that you can hone at a distance. These days, you don't even have to drop a ton of money on an expensive camera; you can develop great photography skills with just your smart phone.
  2. Listen to podcasts. Learn more about the world (or block the world out) by listening to educational and informational podcasts, or get in to other compelling broadcasts that are essentially digital page-turners, like Serial and others like it.
  3. Get artsy. It doesn't matter if you have true skills as an artist or if you just like to doodle because it calms your mind. Get ambitious and take a drawing, painting, calligraphy, or pottery class, or keep it simple and fill up adult coloring books that help calm anxiety and stress.
  4. Learn to play an instrument. If you already know how to play, then focus on getting even better, and if you've never picked up an instrument, it really is never too late to try. Playing music is a good way to constructively challenge yourself, and you can set your own personal goals as to how much you want to master the craft. If you don't want to work with an instructor, you can find online tutorials and books to help teach yourself.
  5. Write. Writing is a great hobby for introverts, because it allows you to express yourself on your own terms, in your own time. It also doesn't involve other people. Spend time writing down your thoughts in a blog, put together poems, or work on the next great American novel - whatever works for you.
  6. Cook or bake. Spend some time trying out different recipes and perfecting dishes by yourself, so that if you ever want to invite a (small) group of (close) friends over for dinner or dessert, you'll have the meal already planned.
  7. Create a YouTube channel. You can share tutorials, DIYs, music, or just your thoughts on any given subject. Like writing, running a YouTube channel is perfect for introverts because it allows them the platform and means to produce something creative while being able to take their time to get it just right.
  8. Take up a single-person athletic activity. Find a workout routine that you love, or engage in a sport that requires few or no people. You can bike, swim, play golf, run, dance, box, play tennis, or choose a workout class that doesn't involve a ton of engagement with others. It's so invigorating and rewarding to get inside your own head and work hard at something, so introverts can really benefit from this type of activity.
  9. Do puzzles. Puzzles are a perfect way to work your brain and challenge yourself, and you can take them at your own pace. You can do jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, crosswords, online puzzles, or even a Rubik's cube.
  10. Take an online class. Pick a subject that interests you and spend some time learning more about it. If you're doing it for pleasure, you don't have to worry about grades - just enjoy expanding your knowledge!
  11. Travel alone. If you love to travel, plan some trips with just yourself. There are so many reasons to travel alone; you get to decide what sights to see and where you eat, your time is entirely your own, and you can really immerse yourself in other cultures.
  12. Learn to knit. Try your hand at knitting, sewing, weaving, crocheting - whatever interests you the most!
  13. Play games. The online gaming world is endless and many introverts love to immerse themselves in it, but even if that's not for you, then work at perfecting your solitaire game, teach yourself magic or card tricks, or play video games that don't require you to be online.
  14. Garden. Gardening allows you to stay close to home and cultivate something that is both beautiful and, depending on what you grow, can even be useful (and edible!) as well.
  15. Watch movies. Introverts definitely need a Netflix subscription, or something similar, because there is nothing quite as nice as settling down on the couch for a long movie or TV show marathon.
  16. Do outdoor activities. Get outside and spend some refreshing time in nature. Go hiking, fishing, bird watching, kayaking or canoeing, or just take a quiet walk through a beautiful area.
  17. Meditate. It's much more than hippie bullsh*t! There are countless mental and physical benefits to taking time by yourself each day to relax and de-stress.
  18. Get handy. Broken toilet? Learn to fix it. Car not working? Tinker around with it. Instead of hiring a handy person, make yourself into one with research and practice. You'll end up saving money on hiring an expert by becoming the expert yourself.
  19. Volunteer with animals. Animals are sometimes kind of better than people, especially to an introvert. Do good in the world without having to have too much interaction with humans - just some adorable cats and dogs.
  20. Learn a new language. There are great apps and computer programs, not to mention college and online classes, where you can learn a new language. Master one, and then take a trip to a country where that language is spoken.
  21. Build models. Like puzzles and art, model building - from planes and buildings to ships and cars - can stimulate the mind in positive way while calming stress.
  22. Read. Perhaps the greatest hobby introverts enjoy is reading for countless hours, wherever and whenever they can. It allows you to escape into another world, and the quiet calm of a cozy reading nook and good book is like nothing else in the world.

12 Things to Pack in Your Carry-On Bag

I'm all about making my flights as smooth as humanly possible. I've started packing more like a minimalist, and I've slowly but surely discovered some airport hacks that have made my life a lot easier. I think the key to a perfect flight is having what you need all in one spot: in your carry-on. If you're checking a bag, you need to know what's important to bring on board the plane with you and what's OK to leave behind in the bag you're sending off into the literal hands of strangers and metaphorical hands of machines. Here's what you should always have in your carry-on bag when flying.

Watch This Woman Pack More Than 100 Things Into a TINY Carry-On Bag

If you've ever given up on squeezing just one more item into your carry-on bag, then you simply weren't trying hard enough. There's always room for more - if you know what you're doing. This video shows one woman conquer an amazing feat by efficiently packing more than 100 things into a small carry-on. She pretty much takes minimalist packing to a whole new level, and the video is definitely inspiration for the next time you take a trip and want to maximize suitcase space. Watch and prepare to be amazed (and maybe a bit dumbfounded).

Rome Was Hit by a Rare Snowstorm, and the Photos Are Completely Beautiful

When in Rome, you're supposed to "do as the Romans do." And right now, that might mean partaking in an impromptu snowball fight. Meteorologists have dubbed a weather phenomenon hailing from Siberia as the "Beast From the East," and on Monday, Feb. 26, it hit Rome, causing schools and businesses to shut down in the face of the rare snowfall in Italy's capital.

Based on photos and videos of the snow-covered city, Rome wears white quite well. The last time Rome saw snow was in 2012. The cold snap has also brought with it unseasonably chilly temperatures, and much of Europe, including the UK, is feeling the effects of the so-called "beast." Check out stunning photos of the historical streets of Rome covered in a beautiful blanket of snow.

5 Reasons Cruises Give You the Most Bang For Your Buck

If you're looking for an affordable way to travel, consider booking a cruise for your next trip. Whether you're a couple, a group of friends, or a family of five, your boarding pass is packed with value that's hard to beat with traditional vacations. On top of being reasonably priced right off the bat, there are also plenty of ways to save cash once you're on board. Look ahead for why cruises are totally worth it!

1. You only need to pay for an in-state round-trip flight.

For popular destinations like the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Mexico, cruises depart mainly from Galveston, TX, Charleston, SC, New Orleans, and multiple ports in Florida. Other destinations such as Mexico or Alaska typically require traveling to Los Angeles, CA, which still beats having to fly out of the country. However, if you're considering a European cruise, for example, you'll have to book a flight to Barcelona, Spain, where the closest port is located.

2. You can visit multiple cities, islands, and areas in one trip.

The best part about cruises hands down is the fact that you're able to see more with less effort. You don't have to worry about train rides or flights in between cities - simply wake up and find yourself in a new place. "It's a great way to maximize country exposure," Carnival Vista cruise director Matt Mitcham told POPSUGAR. "There aren't many vacations that let you hit three different ports or three different islands in six days." The one caveat is that you typically only have one day to get a taste of the area, but think of it as a sample: at the end of the trip, you can determine which places you want to return to or skip in the future.

3. It's surprisingly affordable!

For example, a five-day Eastern Caribbean sail on Carnival Triumph begins at a reasonable $282 per person. That includes your stateroom, food, ship amenities, and three port destinations all for the price of one! Prices may vary by ship, stateroom type, number of sail days, and ports, but considering the value of a single boarding pass, you're definitely getting your money's worth. Think about how much a hotel stay would cost you for five days!

4. It's all-inclusive.

Almost. Although alcohol and soft drinks (minus juices and coffee available at the buffet) aren't generally included your cabin rate, the buffet, dining room, ice cream machines, and pizzeria are. The specialty restaurants on your ship also require additional costs, but some (depending on the cruise) offer complimentary fare to guests during certain hours of the day. On Carnival Vista, for example, Jiji Asian Kitchen is a modern dining option at night while being a free Mongolian Wok during the day. If you stick to the what the cruise has to offer for free, you can actually avoid spending a dime more when you're on board.

5. One stateroom can fit up to five guests.

Don't underestimate the cozy size of your cabin - most ships feature staterooms with two additional pull-down beds and an optional trundle bed for the fifth guest. It may feel a bit cramped when your entire family is in the room at once, but honestly, you won't be spending much time in there. Think of it as an area solely for getting ready and sleeping and a great bonding experience.

Students Given Detention For National Walkout Stage Peaceful Protest in Memory of Parkland Victims

A group of 46 students at a Pennsylvania high school, who were given detention for participating in the national school walkout, served their detention on March 17, but not without protest – the group linked arms and, wearing the names of the Parkland victims on their clothes, participated in an unprecedented kind of sit-in.

Pennridge High School in Pennsylvania issued detention slips to 225 students who walked out on March 14 as part of the national demonstration against gun violence that involved tens of thousands of students across the US. The March 17th detention was just the first of several Saturday morning detentions which have been staggered to accommodate the large number of students who participated in the walkout.

As seen in a video shared to Twitter by @NeverAgainPenn the students - who call themselves Pennridge 225 - sat on the school's cafeteria floor in complete silence. The peaceful protest was organized by Pennridge senior Anna Sophie Tinney who told The Morning Call it was disappointing the school wouldn't allow the students to protest, especially given the school historically teaches and praises the bravery of activists including Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. The Pennridge 225 weren't the only ones who chose to stage a sit in on Saturday, though – dozens of community members showed their support for the students by standing outside the school with signs.

Pennridge is just one of many schools that issued punishments for students who walked out on March 14, including a school in Arkansas where a student alleges that students were paddled for having participated in the walkout.

The 1 Cartoon About School Shootings Every American Needs to See

An absolutely stunning cartoon drawn in the wake of the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, is breaking hearts across the internet - and it's an image that we won't (and shouldn't) soon forget.

"Hero's Welcome" is the brainchild of artist Pia Guerra and depicts Aaron Feis - the football coach and security guard who was killed when he used himself as a human shield to protect Parkland students - being ushered toward a group of children and adults by a young girl saying, "Come on, Mister Feis! So many of us want to meet you!"

"It's not often that an image pops in your brain and you feel a lump in your throat," Guerra told The Washington Post, noting that the crowd in the cartoon is representative of all the many individuals who have tragically lost their lives in school shootings over the years and that the cartoon was a direct response to her feeling helpless in the face of yet another mass gun tragedy.

Guerra posted the image to Twitter, and it has since gone viral - serving as yet another incredibly important reminder of the important role that each and every individual voice plays in the fight for gun control and how essential it is to our own safety as Americans to make those voices heard at the highest levels.

Instagram Turned Barbie Into a Millennial Mom - and the Posts Are Spot-On

If you're a mom with an Instagram feed, there's a good chance you've posted the obligatory share-worthy snaps of your family. There's the classic baby-bump selfies, the chaotic-yet-expertly-coordinated family photos, and the aerial shots of your morning coffee. And of course who can forget the token "shirtless dad holding naked baby on chest" photo?

It makes sense then that Barbie's feed is no different. That's right: the famed Mattel toy is a married mom with two kids, and, aside from some rubbery joints, her Instagram feed shows her living out her days just like the rest of us, or at least like the real-life mommy bloggers we follow.

This hipster Barbie mom goes by Tiff, and her @tiff_thebarbie account, which has a whopping 12,000 devoted fans, features copious #momlife hashtags and Pinterest-worthy pregnancy announcements, gender reveals, and birth photos.

These Photos of Kids With Down Syndrome Show the Beauty of "Rocking an Extra Chromosome"

Taking family portraits is a beautiful way to capture memories, but for Nicole Starr, a photographer from the Saratoga Springs area in New York, her work attempts something important: to normalize Down syndrome through photos.

"Many parents have told me that they've never done professional portraits because they worry . . . that they will not be able to find a photographer who understands their child's unique needs and strengths."

"My first introduction to the Down syndrome community was in 2010 with the birth of my friend's son, and since then, I feel lucky to have met countless families who have a little one that rocks an extra chromosome," she told POPSUGAR of how she became part of this community. "Many parents of children with Down syndrome have told me that they've never done professional portraits before because they worry how their child will react to a camera or that they will not be able to find a photographer who understands their child's unique needs and strengths. I love giving them a portrait experience that focuses on their child, drawing out everything that makes them special."

In an effort to create a dialogue around World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, we've rounded up some of the best work from photographers like Nicole from around the world who are dedicated to the same important cause.

Nicole, who recalled that as soon as she had her first shoot with a child with Down syndrome, she never looked back, told POPSUGAR how she hopes to continue to put a spotlight on these kids: "It has been such an amazing experience to connect with so many individuals in the Down syndrome community and showcase their sparkling personalities, their strengths, and their stories."

Scroll through for stunning portraits of children with Down syndrome - and try not to melt in the process.
