What You May Have Forgotten About Camila Cabello's Fifth Harmony Exit

Fifth Harmony have decided to take a break in order to pursue solo ventures, but their original fifth member, Camila Cabello, did it first, and her solo career is on fire!

Even though Fifth Harmony just decided to go on hiatus in March 2018, Camila - who was an original member of the girl group that got its start thanks to being paired together on The X Factor in 2012 - left the group a few years ago, and she's always been pretty honest about why she did so.

In case you'd like a little bit of a refresher, the "Havana" singer called her time with Fifth Harmony quits back in December 2016. At the time, Fifth Harmony announced Cabello's departure, claiming her representatives told them she wanted out, and Cabello responded with a lengthy Twitter post to her fans.

She said that she was "shocked" to read their statement and was planning to pursue solo ventures, but did not intended to "end things with Fifth Harmony in this way, as sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group."

In December 2017, Cabello talked to the New York Times about her split from the group - almost a year to the day that it all went down - and sighted her collaboration with Shawn Mendes as the beginning of the end.

"I was just curious and I wanted to learn and I saw all these people around me making music, writing songs and being so free. I just wanted to do that and it did not work," she explained before saying she was eventually given an ultimatum and she chose to leave.

"It became clear that it was not possible to do solo stuff and be in the group at the same time," she said, noting that she followed her own moral compass and thoughts, saying, "If anyone wants to explore their individuality, it's not right for people to tell you no."

In early 2018, while covering Net-a-Porter's The Edit, Cabello opened up even more about why she decided to branch out and pursue music on her own, but she is still grateful for everything she learned while being a member of the group.

"With the experiences we had being in the studio, I became super curious about songwriting and it was around the time - I think it was the second year that I was with the group - that I wanted to start songwriting for other people," Cabello told the magazine. "But once I was old enough to experience my first kiss, or the first time that I went out on a date, I began writing songs about it, and I didn't want to give them away to anybody else because they were about me," she continued. "I was finding my voice, and with it, I found the passion that gives you a deeper meaning."

Taking the risk of going solo has definitely paid off for Cabello, who has now released her debut record Camila and not only booked her own tour, but will be opening for Taylor Swift on her upcoming tour, which, as fans know, is a massive accomplishment. Even if things started off rocky with the drama surrounding her departure from Fifth Harmony, Cabello's solo success has more than made up for it, and this is only her first album!

Demi Lovato Gets Emotional While Discussing Her Sobriety With Dr. Phil - Watch an Exclusive Preview

Demi Lovato hasn't been shy about her struggles with addiction and mental health, which is part of why she's become such an inspiring figure in the music world. The "Tell Me You Love Me" singer opens up about just that in an upcoming appearance on The Dr. Phil Show, which you can see in our exclusive look at the episode, airing March 20. Demi discusses how being bullied at age 12 made her turn to drugs and alcohol, which ended up having devastating consequences.

"At the rate that I was using and drinking, I wasn't going to live a long life," she said. "I turned to cutting. Every time I cut, it got deeper and deeper." Now, six years sober, the 25-year-old singer just wants to share what she's learned. Along with the help of Dr. Phil and CAST Centers, Demi sat down with fans for a therapy session ahead of her LA concert and hopefully changed some lives. Check out the preview above before the full episode airs!

Camila Cabello's Success Is Going to Be Hard to Beat - Here's How Much She's Worth

While girl group Fifth Harmony may have announced Monday that they are going on hiatus to pursue solo projects, fans know that one of the founding members already did that . . . a while ago.

Camila Cabello departed the singing ensemble back in December 2016 amid some turmoil and - dare we say - disharmony among the group members. When she left, the group said in a statement that they found out about her departure via her representatives, something Cabello disputed in a statement of her own. The group later threw a little shade Cabello's way in their 2017 MTV Video Music Awards performance when a fifth female joined them on stage only to be thrown backward by the remaining members of the group.

But perhaps it is Cabello who will have the last laugh, as she has gone on to have a decent solo career since leaving the group. In fact, two of her solo hits, "Bad Things" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer," were hits before she left Fifth Harmony. Since then, she's had hits with "Havana," "Never Be the Same," "Hey Ma," and "Almost Like Praying," among others. Her debut solo studio album, Camila, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and she has also inked deals with L'Oreal, Guess, and Sketchers.

According to International Business Times, prior to Cabello's departure from Fifth Harmony, her net worth was around $3.5 million, but it has jumped up to $6 million since fully embarking on her solo career. Not too shabby.

The remaining Fifth Harmony members - Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui - are surely hoping to mirror that success as they begin their own solo careers.

"Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X Factor, we've realized just how far we've come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever . . . After six years going hard, non stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavors," reads the statement the group members posted on social media. "We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals . . . To our Harmonizers, thank you for everything we have been able to build as Fifth Harmony."

Fifth Harmony Announces They Are Going on Hiatus to Pursue Solo Careers in a Letter to Fans

We have some bad news, Harmonizers: Fifth Harmony is taking a hiatus. The group members - Dinah Jane, Normani, Ally Brooke, and Lauren Jauregui - announced the sad news on Monday in a lengthy note on Twitter. "Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X-Factor, we've realized just how far we've come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever," they wrote. "We've really had one hell of a memorable journey together and can't begin to express our gratitude to y'all for coming along with us on this wild ride!"

After working nonstop for the past six years, the ladies explained that they need to take some time off to focus on solo endeavors. "We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals," they added. "In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family."

In December 2016, Camila Cabello famously left the group to pursue her own solo career. While the departure certainly left fans with mixed reactions, Cabello recently revealed that it had nothing to do with her friend Taylor Swift pressuring her to go solo.

In addition to explaining their hiatus, Fifth Harmony took a moment to thank their incredible fans. "To our Harmonizers, thank you for everything we have been able to build as Fifty Harmony," they said. "With your love and encouragement we will continue to build on ourselves, support one another in everything we do, and keep making you proud, each other proud and ourselves proud."

You can read their full statement ahead. In the meantime, we'll just be playing their greatest hits on repeat.

Carnitas, Al Pastor, Barbacoa: Here's the 411 on Mexican Meats

The beer-drinking backdrop of a hot afternoon or evening would pair perfectly with a festive Mexican feast of tacos and grilled meats. But with a menagerie of Spanish monikers from carnitas to carne asada, taco meat terminology can get a bit confusing. Here's the breakdown of Mexican meats:

  • Carne asada: Grilled, marinated pieces of beef (typically sirloin or rib) served inside burritos and tacos.
  • Carnitas: Shoulder of pork that's been seasoned, braised until tender with lard and herbs (oregano, marjoram, bay leaves, garlic), pulled apart, and then oven-roasted until slightly crisp, then eaten alone or used as a filling for tacos, tamales, tortas, and burritos.
  • Al pastor: Crisp-thin shavings of vertical spit-roasted pork, marinated with guajillo chiles and achiote, then served on tortillas. Pastor means "shepherd," the name given to Lebanese merchants who immigrated to Mexico City in the early 1900s, bringing the concept of shawarma with them.
  • Cochinita pibil: Whole suckling pig or pork shoulder that's marinated in citrus with achiote, then wrapped in banana leaves and roasted. Historically, it's buried in a pit with a fire at the bottom.
  • Barbacoa: Traditionally, beef cheek and head that's covered in leaves from the maguey plant, then slow cooked over a wood fire in a pit in the ground. In America today, it also refers to spicy, shredded, slow-braised beef that's been made tender, then pulled apart.

Got all that? What Mexican meat goes in between your tortillas?

I Tried the Pioneer Woman's Best Tomato Soup Ever Recipe and I'll Never Do Store-Bought Again

One of my ultimate cozy dinner indulgences is definitely a bowl of piping-hot tomato soup accompanied by a grilled cheese. Depending on how ambitious I felt, I used to satisfy my cravings by whipping up a delicious but slightly labor-intensive Ina Garten recipe (which requires chopping four pounds of vine-ripened tomatoes) or cave and grab a sub-par store-bought version. It wasn't until I discovered Pioneer Woman's best tomato soup ever recipe that I realized I could actually pull off great-tasting tomato soup in just 25 minutes. I made this last night after work and even had the table set and wine poured by the time my husband walked through the door, which never happens.

Leave it to Ree Drummond to come up with flavor-boosting, time-cutting hacks like adding a bottle of tomato juice, a can of diced tomatoes, and chicken bouillon for a quick and tasty soup base. The tartness of the tomatoes is balanced with a few tablespoons of sugar. Cream, basil, and parsley pull it all together at the end, adding a velvety richness that is brightened by the fresh herbs. After the first bite, it's easy to understand why more than 300 people are raving about this satisfying soup that doesn't require a single fresh tomato. If you're looking to treat yourself on a chilly night, whip this up with a side of grilled cheese. You won't be sorry.

The Completely Addictive Method of Making Pasta Sauce

The idea of making homemade pasta sauce might sound intimidating, but it's a lot less complicated than you'd think. And I'm not talking about a more involved project like a beef bolognese. My go-to way to prepare pasta is with a lemony, garlicky, buttery sauce that comes together in minutes - and practically out of nothing. The truth is that a "sauce" for pasta can be as simple as butter and parmesan cheese (cacio e pepe, anyone?), and a few simple staples, like lemon and red pepper flakes, can jazz it up and wildly enhance the flavor.

If you're like me and you believe there's nothing more comforting than a bowl of garlicky, cheesy pasta and you also don't have the patience to spend a lot of time on an elaborate meal, read on to discover the best and easiest way to prepare an A+ pasta sauce in 10 simple steps. You'll soon be adding this to your pasta rotation, too.

The Only Thing More Beautiful Than Queer Eye Chef Antoni Is the Food He Cooks

Binge-watching the first season of Netflix's Queer Eye reboot was an exceptionally salty experience for me. First, because of all the tears I shed during every. damn. episode. Second, because watching absurdly handsome Fab Five chef Antoni Porowski prepare food with each of the show's makeover recipients always makes me hungry enough to head to the kitchen for a savory snack! So imagine my outrage when people dared to imply that Antoni, my beloved patron saint of avocados and Strokes t-shirts, can't cook. (Cue record scratch noise here.)

Yes, you read that right. People really tried it.

Apparently, because Antoni guides cooking-averse men through simple recipes on Queer Eye, some viewers interpreted that to mean he can't actually cook. Never mind that some of the guys featured on Queer Eye consider Mountain Dew mixed with tequila to be fine dining. Instead, the haters who question Antoni's skills in the kitchen feel that "a real chef" would have taught these men how to make bone marrow foam and grilled cauliflower steaks instead of basic staples (like guacamole or grilled cheese) that they'll actually cook regularly. Sounds logical.

But Antoni isn't one to let the haters sway him. Instead, the foodie of the Fab Five simply lets his cooking speak for itself, courtesy of beautifully styled Instagram photos taken by his proud partner, Joey Krietemeyer. From pan-seared salmon to gourmet beef bourguignon, Antoni's Instagram is filled with photos of the only thing more beautiful than his face: the food he lovingly prepares.

So look out, haters; these glorious meals are your proof (once and for all!) that Antoni can cook.

Sad Songs That Will Actually Make You Feel Better

There's nothing like a sad, slow song to aid in a postbreakup cry or to be the soundtrack to a bad day. It's a well-known fact that music is made to bring out emotions in all of us, but what may come as a surprise is that sad music can have the opposite effect from what you would expect. Wallowing in sad songs can actually elicit positive feelings of "transcendence, peacefulness, and nostalgia," according to a recent study. It allows us to reflect and even feel a sense of consolation during bad times. Not Signing Up For TSA Precheck Is a Big Mistake - Here's Why

Waiting to get through airport security brings out the absolute worst in me. There's something about having to take off my shoes and jacket and remove my laptop from its sleeve that turns me into the most unpleasant human being. And each time I fly, which is pretty often, I always regret not signing up for TSA Precheck. The process from start to finish can be a pain, but the fact that it makes traveling less painful is totally worth the hassle. After reading this, you're going to facepalm yourself like I do every time I realize that I should've signed up a long time ago.

The Benefits of TSA Precheck

  • There's an expedited line dedicated to TSA Precheck holders.
  • You can keep your shoes on.
  • You can keep laptop and electronics inside your carry-on.
  • You can leave your TSA-friendly liquids in your bag.
  • You don't have to remove your belt or light jacket.
  • Your $85 membership lasts for five years.

How to Apply

  • Step one: Apply online. The five-minute application will ask for your biographic information, citizenship, identity, etc., and then have you select your appointment time and date. You also have the choice of walking into an enrollment center, but expect to wait a while.
  • Step two: Go to your in-person appointment, which will include a background check and fingerprinting. The entire process should only take 10 minutes. Remember to bring documents, such as your passport or military ID, for enrollment, and either a credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check to pay the nonrefundable fee.
  • Step three: Wait to receive your Known Traveler Number (KTN). According to TSA's website, those who apply directly through the TSA Precheck Application Program online will receive written notification within two to three weeks. However, many are approved just days after their in-person appointment, so be sure to check your status online.

Once you receive your KTN, add it to the corresponding field next time you book your flight online and enjoy your new perks!

I Got Fired, and It Was Actually a Huge Blessing in Disguise

I never thought that I would hear the words, "You're fired" . . . though technically I didn't. Instead I heard: "We won't be renewing your contract for the next year." And that was how, at 22, nine weeks after my father had passed away and two days before Christmas, I was left fired and unemployed.

I tried to focus on what my boss was saying, but of course I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible before the tears rolled down my face. I felt like a failure. I had always done well in school. I had excelled at my previous jobs. And yet I apparently sucked so badly at my first professional job that I got fired.

But my career didn't end there that day. In fact, since that day, my career has only continued to improve, and I now know that getting fired was one of the best things that ever happened to me. And here's why.

It made me honest about myself and my situation

I wasn't the best employee. Sure, I turned up before nine each morning and left way after five, but I didn't want to be there, and that was obvious.

I hated every minute of work and was actively looking for alternate employment but never left. Why? Because I thought a slight gap in my employment history was worse than my own enjoyment and mental health.

In fact, when I told one of my friends what had happened, she was happy for me. Her exact words were, "Great! Now you can focus on finding something that will make you happy." The entire time I had worked at my old company, I had hated it. I was just in such denial about it because I didn't want that résumé gap.

It taught me what I really wanted in a job

Looking back at what happened, it was obvious that my previous employer wasn't the right fit for me.

I was micromanaged by a man who didn't understand my role, which left me stressed and caused me to make more mistakes. And the difficult coworkers who never introduced themselves left me feeling alone and isolated without any help or guidance. I never even knew where the mugs were kept . . .

So in my job search, I ended up being extra picky. I didn't just take the first job I was offered, like before; I asked questions about the company's culture and issues that were important to me. I waited for the right job to come along that fit me perfectly.

It got me out of one of the most toxic situations of my life

While I had been trying to leave my former company for months, I never did due to the worry of a résumé gap.

The stress of work, traveling three hours a day, and never having time for my friends had left me a tense and angry person. And yet I never left.

While being told I was fired was awful, it got me instantly out of that situation. I could finally have a proper night's sleep and enjoy Christmas with my friends and family without the worry of work looming over me.

It taught me that being professionally employed isn't the most important thing in the world

I'd gone straight from school to college to working without a single break, and throughout my entire time in college, I was repeatedly told about the importance of acquiring a professional role as soon as possible.

And yet here I was: fired from my very first one.

I cried about it a lot - I thought I had wasted my entire time in college for not being able to keep my job. But being professionally employed isn't the most important thing. Sure, it puts money in the bank, which can help with your rent and bills, but there are other ways to make money. I worked on my then very new Etsy store, and while before I hadn't focused on it much at all, I suddenly had tons of frantic energy to put into it.

While I was lucky and found a new job very quickly, I have no doubt that with hard work, I could have grown my Etsy business into something that could have helped support me. Getting fired isn't the best situation, but it definitely isn't the end of the world (or your career). I managed to find a great new job that fit around my needs and wants perfectly while letting me grow and develop professionally and personally, and I have continued to grow in my career since.

So, even if right now getting fired and being unemployed feel awful, you can get through it. In fact, it might even be the best thing to happen to you, too.

The 10 Best Foundations For Seriously Glowing Mature Skin

As skin matures, the best bet is a hydrating foundation that boosts the skin's moisture while blurring fine lines and wrinkles. The old adage is true: the best makeup is that which looks like you are hardly wearing any at all, and that starts with a seamless, natural finish!

Here are 10 foundations that women with mature skin swear by.

I Finally Found a Primer That Works on My Problematic Skin - and It's Not Even a Primer

I own one eye shadow and about 10 moisturizers. Needless to say, I wouldn't describe myself as a "makeup kind of girl." I'm much more into my skincare routine. Due to the fact that I have both oily and dry, hormonal acne-prone skin (lucky me!), I've spent many years perfecting my beauty routine; I stay away from makeup I'm scared will clog my pores, making me an antiprimer person. I used to think, "Why add another layer?" I realized I was doing it all wrong when I tried this Capture Totale DreamSkin Advanced Perfect Skin Creator ($115).

Before you let the price tag scare you away, let me start by saying this product has hands down changed my skin, and it lasts forever. So how did I discover it? One of my friends who has similar skin issues showed up to an event looking flawless, and I immediately asked what was different. She told me about this miracle formula, and the next day I headed to the department store.

The saleswoman informed me that DreamSkin has always been a popular product from the brand and that it was just reinvented to also help with antiaging. It's a light-pink texture that has a very faint smell of flowers. It's meant to help even out skin tone, cover spots, reduce redness, and minimize the appearance of large pores. I was sold.

The cream does everything it promises, but - more importantly - the consistency is just right for my combination skin. It keeps my dry patches moisturized throughout the day without flaking, and my skin doesn't feel slick or oily. After weeks of use, it didn't cause me to have any breakouts. My skin overall looked more glowing, and my foundation stayed on longer and better.

This product was a total splurge for me, but now I can't imagine living without it!

The 12 Best Drugstore Face Masks of 2018 Will Save You Tons of Money on Skin Care

As soon as I jumped on the face mask bandwagon, I never look back. Using them a few times a week has transformed my skin. My complexion is clearer and my under-eye bags are far less noticeable. Whether you deal with acne, sagging, dark spots, or flakiness, there's a mask that will fix your problem. My favorite places to go when I'm looking for a skin pick-me-up are drugstores. They offer affordable options that are incredibly effective. Take a look and unwind with one of these rejuvenating game changers.

Burning Question: Does Turmeric Get Rid of Dark Spots?

Turmeric has gained renewed attention for its health benefits (among them reversing symptoms of heart disease) and is proving one of the hottest new ingredients to add to your skincare routine for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. In case you needed another reason to stockpile the golden spice, experts are also hailing it for its ability to help with hyperpigmentation.

"Turmeric contains curcumin, which inhibits pigmentation in the skin and can be effective in reducing the appearance of sun spots and pigmented scarring," explains Gina Mari, a celebrity esthetician.

"It is said to inhibit the pigmentation of skin, helping with dark spots. It is often used as a home remedy with lemon, yogurt, and milk for lightening skin. I have not seen this effect myself, but people swear by it," adds Debbi Burnes, natural skincare expert and founder of Sumbody.

According to Paula Simpson, a holistic nutritionist, biochemist, and cofounder of Zea Skin Solutions, turmeric can also help prevent future spots. "Through diet and supplementation, the active constituents are believed to help block melanin overproduction that is triggered by chronic sun exposure (and a reason why skin appears uneven in appearance)," she explains.

9 Cannabis Skincare Products Guaranteed to Make Your Skin Dope

If you haven't heard about CBD in skin care, get ready to. Topicals using cannabis are being used for everything from muscle pain to acne, and there are results to back their efficacy. Clinical research by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology and the National Center for Biotechnology Information show evidence that cannabinoids have antiaging and antioxidant properties. These studies also confirm that cannabinoids are responsible for lipid production and, therefore, for regulating conditions such as dry skin or acne.

So if you're looking to incorporate CBD into your skin routine, where should you start?

First of all: not all products calling themselves "CBD skin care" are the same. Some products only use hemp oil, which is legal in all 50 states. Others use pure CBD oil, which has even more medicinal properties, but no psychoactive effects (read: it won't get you high). Others contain THC and/or are transdermal, which means they cross the skin barrier to enter your system and will make you feel high. I've tried to clarify which is which for each product, but all the items I've included here are on the more medicinal end, and you'll need to live in a state where it's legal to purchase them.

These are my picks for some natural vegan cannabis skincare products to get you started.

This Underrated Mascara Made Me Rethink Comb Wands - and Gave Me Dreamy Lashes

First things first: I want it to be known that I am one of those people who has short lashes. I'm not saying it with any sort of humble, ironic humor, either - they are stubby. Outside of lash extensions and lash growth serums, the easiest and most economical solution to my quest for long, luscious lashes is to become a bona-fide mascara hoarder.

If you were to open up my makeup drawer at any given moment, you (and I) would be embarrassed by the obscene amount of mascaras in my collection. I have everything from tubing mascaras to ones that are purple-hued to ones that are dual-ended. Basically: if I've seen it given a thumbs up by my favorite beauty influencers, I've tried it.

So when makeup artist to the Bravo stars Priscilla DiStasio (aka @mspriscillanyc) name-checked the Clinique High Lengths Mascara ($18) on an Instagram Live (she said it was her go-to mascara for giving the appearance of false lashes), I hit "checkout" on my Sephora cart faster than I should probably admit. While the plain white tube looks unassuming, this is definitely one of the times when you cannot judge a mascara by its package.

I've never had success using a comb wand before because they've always left too much product on my lashes (and subsequently, my eyelids) instead of defining them. Also, they can just be really awkward to use because it's hard to figure out hand placement. But the pencil-thin comb on the High Lengths mascara is truly a magic wand, and it really works in your favor. It's made of very fine bristles - the kind you have to almost scrunch your eyes to see. The green part of the wand is flexible, so when you hold it to the base of your lashes, you can wiggle it up with a comfortable amount of control. It easily grabs from the root and elongates each strand with every pass, though I suggest wiping some of the excess off the wand before applying to ensure even more precision. The best part of the applicator is that if you tilt it more vertically, it can also reach the inner corner of your eyes.

One coat will make a dramatic difference, but a second coat will add length and volume. And if you really want it to look like you have doe eyes, add a mascara primer as a base layer. Just make sure to curl your lashes before you apply any of the above, because you won't get curl from this product alone.

Once the formula is set, I've noticed my lashes stay soft, don't produce any irritating flakes, and remain dreamy all day. Take a look!

Pantene's New Shampoo Is Made With the Same Ingredient as a Go-To Face Cleanser

Don't say we didn't warn you: 2018 is shaping up to be the year of micellar water hair care. You've likely used this skincare staple ingredient to cleanse your face before. Pioneered by Bioderma, the "French girl"-approved, water-based particles are beloved for their ability to gently strip away dirt and grime with just the swipe of a cotton pad - no rinsing required. (This makes it a go-to for both the chic and lazy.)

The latest micellar water haircare product lives right in your local drugstore. It's Pantene Pro-V Blends Gentle Cleansing Water Shampoo and Moisturizing Milk Conditioner Set ($16). And if you have sensitive hair, you'll probably want to get this duo on your head, stat.

While these products will give your hair a deep clean, they won't f*ck up fragile hair. Perhaps you've had the (unfortunate) experience of washing your strands only to end up with that sticky, crunchy, overclean feeling. This is due to a harsh hair product stripping your hair of necessary nutrients; this micellar water option is pH-balanced to ensure that doesn't happen.

Plus, the antioxidant-enriched duo is made without parabens or dyes, and the shampoo is silicone-free. You can pick it up at your local drugstore. Just don't forget to stock up on your favorite micellar water cleanser while you're at it.

This Genius $30 Makeup Bag on Amazon Will Help You Get Your Life Together

My makeup bag used to be a giant black hole of cosmetics that I was constantly digging through to find that one eye shadow. Everything changed when I discovered this Lay-n-Go Cosmetic Bag ($30) on Amazon. I quickly purchased it and used it on my last trip - I can safely say I'll never use anything else again.

The drawstring design allows the bag to lay flat so all your products can be spread out and easily viewed. Its design has raised edging so that small round items and brushes won't roll off when the bag is flat. It also features a convenient zipper pouch inside that is perfect for storing jewelry. But by far my favorite part is that it's machine washable! I always found that my cosmetics cases seemed too used and dirty after a certain point; being able to clean this one makes it an investment that's totally worth it.

If you're ready to organize your makeup collection, this bag has your name all over it. It comes in 13 different colors and designs that you can use at home or on the go!

I Finally Found the 1 Acne Spot Treatment That Works on My Problematic Skin

I've suffered from hormonal cystic acne since I hit puberty, and those huge, painful, and embarrassing blemishes have never stopped stressing me out. Finally, after 15 years and the help of a dermatologist, I have clear skin. But that doesn't mean I don't suffer from a breakout every now and then. I often feel those pesky, painful pimples under my skin before they're even noticeable, and I want to fight them before they get bigger. From the classic myth of using toothpaste as a spot treatment to rubbing a piece of aspirin on my skin (I know, but I was desperate at the time), these kooky hacks never did it for me. Then, a little over a year ago, I found a spot treatment product that finally does what it promises to: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17).

I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I discovered this amazing product by watching Kylie Jenner's Snapchat. (This was before the launch of her own cosmetic line, when she used to show more of her own skincare routine.) Little did I know that the small pink bottle was a total cult classic. I went and bought it immediately. That night before bed, I followed the instructions and used a cotton swab to dab the pink lotion on every little bump I could find. I woke up the next day and there was no trace of the lotion or of a blemish. At last, a product that I saw results with. I've been addicted ever since.

If you're wondering what makes this treatment so special, it's the pink substance itself: the calamine lotion. (Yes, that's the same lotion that you may have used if you've ever suffered from poison ivy or insect bites as a kid.) This soothing lotion is mixed with acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid and sulfur, which work together to dry out clogged pores, kill bacteria, and diminish your spots. If you've been searching for the right spot treatment for you, this one is definitely worth a try.

Pippa's Tweed Coat Is So Chic, We Could See Kate Middleton Borrowing It

When we're heading to the gym, most of us just throw on the first comfy outfit we see, but Pippa Middleton isn't just anyone. Being the sister of Kate Middleton comes with some guidelines, and one of them is to look put together no matter where you go, including the gym.

The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister was spotted leaving a workout session in London wearing a tweed coat from fashion maven Alexa Chung's eponymous label, ALEXACHUNG. She later hopped on a bicycle in the $1,000 coat, a pair of black jeans, and brown ankle boots that featured buckles on each side. Gosh Darn It, I Knew I Should Have Bought a Black One-Piece Like Lea Michele's

At first glance, the swimsuit Lea Michele wore in Hawaii with her mom looks simple. It's black and sophisticated with a high neck, and it's got a cheeky cut at the behind, too. But zoom in closely, and you'll see the straps on this Solid and Striped one-piece are in ivory, making for a subtle contrast. We can call this Lea's Hawaii suit, since she also wore the same one while vacationing with friends in 2017.

Last year, Lea accessorized her look with nothing but a pair of simple aviators, letting her two-tone swimsuit steal the spotlight. This time, Lea went au naturel, proving this slick, sophisticated suit is timeless. If you're inspired by Lea's design, lucky for you, it's available and clearly still pretty fly in 2018. Read on to scoop it up, or shop similar selections ASAP.

Need to Clean Your Jeans but Don't Want Them to Fade? Try This Freezer Hack

A good pair of jeans is always worth the investment, but you should make sure to follow the care instructions to a T. The best rule for making jeans last is to avoid washing them à la Victoria Beckham, but you can only escape doing laundry for so long. So when a Nordstrom employee shared her tried-and-true freezer method that doesn't involve the washer, we had to put it to the test.

All you have to do is store your jeans in a gallon-size Ziploc bag and pop them into the freezer for a full 24 hours. But make sure they're properly sealed (otherwise, your jeans will smell like the contents of your freezer). The Nordstrom employee promised that the cold air would remove any odors, all without causing the jeans to fade or stretch.

If you ever wash your jeans in hot water or throw them into the dryer when they're feeling loose, know that the heat is ruining their elasticity and removing dye each time. You'll find that your jeans can no longer restore to the original size and, eventually, the dryer won't be enough to shrink them.

We've read from multiple outlets that your freezer's temperature isn't cold enough to actually kill bacteria and that odors will resurface once your jeans warm up. Well, after trying out the hack for ourselves, we can confirm that the freezer trick does in fact work! Even after letting the jeans sit out for a few hours, they still smelled fresh.

Although we weren't able to prove whether or not the bacteria stuck around, the jeans at least no longer smelled like dirty laundry. The only tip we have is to double seal your jeans in two Ziploc bags (we tried using just one the first time around and this resulted in some pretty damp pants). Obviously, the freezer won't remove stains, so we suggest spot-cleaning as an alternative to washing them completely.

Lea Michele Didn't Want to Hide Her Swimsuit, So She Wore the Most See-Through Cover-Up

A few days after Lea Michele posted a throwback photo of herself at the beach, the star went on vacation with her mom. Though we don't know where they headed, we know Lea packed a host of swimsuits for her seaside trip. She was first spotted in this palm leaf-print bikini, then she snapped herself in a black and neon yellow two piece.

In both photos, Lea's accessories were also on point. For her mix-and-match bikini look, she wore an embroidered cover-up from Aqua. The sheer material gave us a peek at Lea's swimsuit, and she looked superstylish against the lush green background. If a cute cover-up isn't already on your list of must haves for Summer, let Lea inspire you ahead. Read on to see her ensemble, then shop similar pieces for a full beach-day outfit.

If the fashion house somehow fell off your radar, models like Gigi Hadid will bring it right back. Not only are It girls rocking the OG double-F Zucca print again, but at times, they do it from head to toe (see Bella's skirt-suit look ahead). How to Be the Hottest Babe at the Pool Party: Wear Ashley Graham's Bikini

After spending some time working, modeling Swimsuits For All designs on the beach in Miami, Ashley Graham met up with her friends. The group posted shots on Instagram lounging poolside, practicing the "Bambi pose" in their trendy cut two-pieces and maillots. While Ashley's friends looked sleek in their one-pieces, don't get us wrong: it was Ashley's pink crochet bikini (which, ahem, she designed herself) that so clearly stole the spotlight.

Zoom in, and you'll find both the top and bottom to be crocheted with tiny white triangles along the edges, adding a girlie touch to the already feminine silhouette that's secured with bows. If you love Ashley's suit, we've got great news: it's on sale at Swimsuits For All, and we also found a handful of options that come close.

Finally! The Perfect Work Bag That Fits Your Laptop and Looks Stylish

If you're anything like me, your everyday handbag is your life. I carry all my must haves, from my gym shoes to my laptop and half my makeup collection. I've spent years searching for the perfect commute bag, and at long last I discovered this Cuyana Oversized Carryall Tote ($265). Finally something that is worth the price!

There are a few requirements I look for in the ideal bag. Firstly, a tote silhouette is a must because it's so simple to dig through and carry. I also like a good, quality leather that I know will last. Additionally, I'd like something I can mix and match with all my outfits yet still look stylish with.

This bag has two added bonuses that completely sold me: a zipper and a crossbody strap. Being able to close the top is great for security reasons, especially when you take public transportation. The strap is a total selling point because it's rare to find large bags with them. You can use it as an overnight bag or it's great on the plane when you're traveling. It's even large enough for a 15-inch laptop!

I've had my bag for a while now and can't get over how much I love it. It's comfortable and looks chic, and people constantly ask me where it's from. I love the beige shade, but it also comes in white, navy, and black. So stop carrying that old bag you hate and treat yourself to this convenient and cool choice.
