This Couple Had Their Wedding Photos Taken at Target, and Yes, We're Insanely Jealous!

When it came time to decide on where to have their weddings photos taken, it was a no-brainer for Isabella Sablan and her soon-to-be husband, Michael Delvalle: they would take them in their local Target store, of course. Isabella told POPSUGAR that although the idea started off as a joke, after a few months, the couple started to seriously consider the idea.

"When we first got engaged, I jokingly mentioned that we should do our engagement photos at Target since we love the store so much and go so often," she said. "Then I thought, why not do it for real?! We wanted to take our photos somewhere that had meaning to us. We also thought about doing the shoot at the park where he first asked me to be his girlfriend, but we thought Target would be more memorable and fun!"

And now, the happily married couple has photos to prove it. Scroll through to soak up Isabella and Michael's wedding bliss at their favorite store on Earth.

100 Unusual Boy Names

Are you on the hunt for an unusual baby boy name? We've looked at the United States Social Security Administration's list of the most popular names and rounded up an A-to-Z of 100 rare boy names. Using a ranking system where 1 is the most common name, these unique boy names all have a rank of 901 or greater! But before we reveal the names, here are a few interesting trends we noted among them.

Unusual and Trendy Boy Names

Although they're less commonly used, some of the names on this list still follow recent trends. Agustin and Thaddeus fit into the Roman and Greek trend, while Houston is part of the place-name trend. Biblical names are here as well (Jeremiah and Enoch), as are creative spellings in the form of Brice, Donte, Trystan, and Zackery.

Unusual Celebrity Boy Names

Just as famous figures may drive a name up the charts, they may also keep a name relatively uncommon. Looking at some of the names in the list, not many parents are giving their boys the names Clinton, Nixon, Elvis, Hendrix, Franco, Hugh, Quinten, and Coen, all of which are associated with famous figures in the political and entertainment realms.

Unusual Boy Names Starting With S?

As you look at the A to Z, you'll notice that a few letters are missing. We looked at the names ranked 901 to 1,000 by the Social Security Administration (they don't publish name rankings beyond 1,000), and surprisingly, there wasn't an S name to be found! Other letters that escaped the bunch are U, W, and X.

15 Things You Might Not Know About the Selena Movie

Selena Quintanilla's biopic premiered in March 1997 (just two years after her untimely death) and though 21 years have passed, the film remains a favorite among fans of the Tejana singer.

As someone who has probably seen Selena more than a few times, you know what scenes in the movie happened in real life. And you're definitely aware that the film marked Jennifer Lopez's first big role in Hollywood, catapulting her into stardom. But did you know who else was in the running to play the late Tejana singer? Or what Jennifer did to make sure she emulated Selena perfectly? We are about to blow your mind with some facts you might now have known about the movie.

The Cast of Selena: Where Are They Now?

When Selena first came out, it took the world by storm, and the iconic film still resonates today. Selena debuted on the big screen on March 21, 1997, just shy of the two-year anniversary of the untimely death of Selena Quintanilla. The movie depicts Selena's life from when she first became part of Los Dinos at age 9 to her last concert at the Houston Astrodome. It was the movie that catapulted Jennifer Lopez to stardom, but what about the rest of the actors? We're taking a look back at the cast of the movie and where they are now 21 years after the release of the hit film.

Suzette Quintanilla and Chris Perez on Selena's Legacy and Their Best Memories With Her

It's been 23 years since Selena's passing, but her legacy remains alive thanks to her fans and the Quintanilla family. Her sister Suzette, brother A.B., husband Chris Perez, and parents Abraham and Marcella have done everything in their hands to honor the Tejano singer, running a museum at Selena's old studio in Corpus Christi, TX, hosting the Fiesta de la Flor, and, this year, launching a makeup line with MAC Cosmetics.

POPSUGAR Latina caught up with Suzette and Chris a day before the official collection launch at the American Bank Center in TX. They exclusively opened up about the process of creating the line (featuring eyeshadows and lipsticks named after Selena's biggest hits), their fondest memories with the star, and what it means to see a new generation of fans. Scroll ahead for the must-read quotes.

POPSUGAR: Tell us about how the line came about. Did it all start with the fan petition? Or did you always want to do a makeup collection for Selena?

Suzette Quintanilla: It's a little bit of both. When Selena passed away, she wanted to do a line, and was actually creating a line of makeup, so that had always been in the back of my head . . . to be able to, hopefully, do something like that in the future. But then, surprisingly, this petition was started by Patty Rodriguez . . . I believe it got 40,000 signatures in a month. I'm not too hip on what that petition page thing was and all that. It was around the time we were planning the Fiesta de la Flor for the first year. So I wasn't really on social media and didn't really know what was going on. When I realized what was going on, literally within the week, MAC Cosmetics reached out to us. It happened that quick. For the last year and a half, we've been working on what this line is, and I'm really happy with it.

PS: How did you choose the shades?

SQ: In regards to the shades, the color palette for the whole collection, when I was discussing it with MAC, they were asking what we felt it should be like. I said it shouldn't be about anything that I like, or what you guys want to push. I think since it's for Selena, it needs to be about Selena. I still have her makeup case, so I literally took pictures of everything in it and sent it to MAC. They came back to me with these matching colors, the colors she would wear on and off stage. This line is Selena.

"I still have her makeup case, so I literally took pictures of everything in it and sent it to MAC."

PS: How about the names? Why did you decide to name them after Selena y Los Dinos' most popular songs.

SQ: The names, that was me. It was kind of easy. The red [lipstick] is Como la Flor - it has to be, you know? And, of course, Dreaming of You. That's the darker tone, and I felt it was very sexy. [The name] went better with the darker tone lipstick. And, of course, Amor Prohibido is the lighter [beige] shade she would normally wear when she was offstage. She would run around, and she liked to wear nude lipstick. There was some clear gloss in her makeup case, too - this [the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom Lipgloss] - is the only thing that's not going to be sold in the store. It's going to be an online exclusive. When you put it on, it's going to be pink, but it has this clear, glittery vibe. This speaks volumes of what she would wear when she was running around and doing everyday stuff.

In regards to the names of the songs, I literally looked at them and said this looks like Missing My Baby and this right here is a no-brainer. I don't know if you know what the name of this one is, Chris - Is It the Beat, because it's black. It kind of goes with it. It was easy. It was a no-brainer.

PS: Is there a makeup trick Selena taught you, Suzette? Was there anything she always did while getting ready?

Chris Perez: They learned from each other. Both of them.

SQ: We kind of wore similar makeup back then. I don't know if there were any tricks. She clearly loved the bold lip, like most Latinas. If anything, she kept it simple with the bold lip, a little bit of eyeshadow, not too much, and, of course, the eyebrows - you can't forget the eyebrows. But in terms of a ritual, I don't know.

PS: Did she take a long time to get ready?

CP: I guess like with most women, you wanna be somewhere quickly, you'll get there quickly. I just remember many times, laying there and hearing her in the other room doing her thing. It depends on whether she was trying some new stuff out. She'd be in there for quite some time, like most girls did.

SQ: You have to also understand she was very young still, so she had flawless skin. Whenever she wasn't on stage, she just basically wore the nude-style lipstick, light foundation, mascara, and always had her hair pulled back. Jeans and a t-shirt.

PS: It's been 21 years since her passing. Is there a favorite memory you have with Selena that you always go back to? I always think of the Grammys, when she won.

SQ: For me there's a couple. You mentioned the Grammys. I remember walking in, with my husband. I came down to meet y'all in y'all's room, Chris. We opened the door and walked in, and she came out of the restroom. She had told me about the dress, but I hadn't seen her. We had gone earlier in the day to get our hair done. When she came out, I thought my sister was beautiful; she had this amazing vibe about her. It was kind of like one of those moments where you were like "Woah," it was one of those. Kind of like when she walked out, there was a beautiful light shining on her type of vibe. I literally got choked up. I was like "Oh my God, you look amazing." It was breathtaking. She was breathtakingly beautiful. You know when everything is just right. Her makeup, her hair, her outfit - she looked amazing. That's one moment.

Another memorable moment I always go back to, and I think I go back to this one more, is all the time that I spent in the bus with her. That was our most time spent together. We spent more time in the bus than we did at home. Late nights after the gigs, she would wipe off her makeup, she would eat something, and then she would come and crawl in our bunk and we would just talk. About her makeup line, her dreams, her being a mother, her being married to Chris - just about life, what families and what sisters normally do. That for me was my special moment.

"Late nights after the gigs, she would wipe off her makeup, she would eat something, and then she would come and crawl in our bunk and we would just talk."

PS: What about you, Chris?

CP: There's quite a few. As crazy as it sounds, it's probably the last time that I saw her. It was that big smile and her laugh. Being as it was the last time I saw her, in my mind, it's such a beautiful picture and memory of her. She opened the door, and my dad had come into town and she forgot. So they had opened the doors to the room at the same time, and she just saw this dude standing before her. She just screamed, and I jumped out of the bed, and then she turned and gave that laugh - the whole thing. I was like "Aah," and then got back in bed. Just little things like that. And, like Suzette said, being in the bus, there were so many moments. It was like our little cocoon, our little safe zone where there was a lot of family time.

PS: There's a new generation of Selena fans now. What do you want people to know about her that might not know.

SQ: For me, I feel that they know everything. That's why there is a new generation that has embraced her and is living her. She kept it real, on and offstage. She was not a different person. When she spoke to you she made you feel like she knew you. I think that transcended clearly on stage. She had the ability to be able to captivate you. I think that's why we are, even 21 years later, talking about this line. I think the younger generation, and the internet, they are able to click and research her and see her. I think that's why they know everything. They feel like they can identify with her. I think she is a role model and inspires people. Also, the fact that we had pretty cool music. It's a combination of things, and I think that it's very evident that the younger generation see that.

PS: This year seems to be such a big one for Selena's memory. You just revealed the wax figure; it was announced she's getting a Hollywood Walk of Fame star; she got inducted to the Texas Women's Hall of Fame. What does it mean as a family to have all of this happening?

CP: I think I speak for all of us when I say she's part of our everyday life. We see things a little different, but we are appreciative of the support the fans continue to give her. It's always surprising. In typical Selena fashion, a project starts one way, it ends up being this huge thing because of the loyalty of her fans. They have her back. It's amazing still to this day.

SQ: It just so happens that a lot of great things fell into this year. And the vinyl . . . the Selena special edition vinyl. We're really excited about that. It comes out [Oct. 14 . . .] So many amazing things are happening; it just seems like something really cool is going on - like from one year to the next. This year definitely more so than the past years, and we are very very grateful for that.

PS: Selena was really a pioneer among Latinas, even now there are not many Latina role models out there, unfortunately. What does it mean to you that Latinas really embrace her and admire her?

CP: She's become an icon. Obviously, when everything first happened it took some time . . .

SQ: To understand the magnitude, I'm sure Chris feels the same way. To just get on the road and perform - we were just doing our thing. Doing our music, doing our thing.

CP: And we saw crowds get bigger, but . . .

SQ: It didn't really dawn on you. You were just doing your thing. Like OK, record sales are great, we're selling out, OK, cool this is what it's all about. But then when she passed away it was like, what Chris said, "Woah, wait a minute." The magnitude of the outpouring of love when she passed away was like "woah." It was overwhelming for us.

"The magnitude of the outpouring of love when she passed away was like, woah. It was overwhelming for us."

Even to this day, we are so surprised at the magnitude of her legacy, what it has now become. This is a clear staple [the makeup] - a perfect example of where her legacy is at. This is not a US thing; it's a global launch. It speaks volumes. We're beyond ecstatic. I think if she was here, this would still be happening, clearly, but you'd be talking to her. We'd be chilling out over there. I'm sure she would be really ecstatic about everything that is going on. She loved her fans, and we are very grateful that her fans still love her.

PS: You talked about just being on stage and doing your thing, but everyone was hypnotized by what was happening, the songs, the music, the performance. What was your favorite song to perform with Selena?

CP: It's a shocking thing because I'm more of the rocker, and you'd think I'd pick a certain song. I used to like playing the more cumbia songs. Where Ricky [Vela] would play the accordion, where I would have to say "Las Cadenas" and "Los Desprecios."

SQ: That is shocking.

CP: Yeah, I'll be there stomping my feet to that stuff and had to be like "Alright, calm down, calm down." I used to love playing those songs. Obviously I loved every song that we did. And I have to say, mainly because of her. She had - even then we all could hear it in her voice - God-given talent. She was amazing.

SQ: I'd have to say, I like that little attitude she used to give "Ya Ves." Now, I love everything, but when you're jamming you're jamming, but "Ya Ves" would be one of my favorites.

CP: I used to get a kick when she would pull people out of the crowd.

SQ: Oh, heck yeah! That was always fun to watch. We'd get a kick out of that because the guy would be all embarrassed but loving it at the same time. It would be so funny to watch. I think it was the fact that she was able to draw you in as a performer and as a singer, and make you feel part of what she was singing. I think she had definitely God-given talent. She definitely had something special.

Selena Gomez Pulled Off Such a Nifty Old Trick With Her Jeans

While so many girls are trying out deconstructed denim and distressed hems, Selena Gomez's trend is more tried and trusted: the classic cuff. The star has tried the baggy look on for size and she's given '70s-inspired overalls a go, but we've noticed the songstress tends to opt for something with a slight slouch and a tapered leg. The resulting look, with the addition of a checked blazer we've already seen on Selena on Valentine's Day, a Coach shoulder bag ($395), and Oliver Peoples sunglasses ($420), sends laid-back '90s vibes, and we are so on board. Ahead, get another look at Selena's foundation denim, then shop jeans with the same fit.

So, Which Lyrics Off The Weeknd's New Album Are About Selena Gomez? Let's Investigate

Guys, The Weeknd isn't doing so great. Following his very public romance and shocking breakup with Selena Gomez - who then promptly got back together with Justin Bieber - the 28-year-old singer released an emotional EP featuring several callous disses and references to their relationship, as well as entire songs about his other ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid. If his 2016 album Starboy was a triumphant tribute to love and life, My Dear Melancholy is The Weeknd's musical descent into bleak heartbreak. Ahead, read all the lyrics that are being linked to Gomez.

"Call Out My Name"

  • "We found each other / I helped you out of a broken place / You gave me comfort / But falling for you was my mistake."
  • "I claimed you so proud and openly / And when times were rough, when times were rough / I made sure I held you close to me."
  • "I want you to stay, even though you don't want me / Girl, why can't you wait? / Girl, why can't you wait 'til I fall out of love?"
  • "I said I didn't feel nothing, baby, but I lied / I almost cut a piece of myself for your life."
  • "Guess I was just another pit stop / 'Til you made up your mind / You just wasted my time."

Oof. The first song off of My Dear Melancholy really goes for the jugular, huh? The line about helping Gomez "out of a broken place" is no doubt a reference to her ongoing health and mental health struggles, which she's been public about, as well as a nod to her rollercoaster romance with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Many are also speculating that the line "I almost cut a piece of myself for your life," indicates that he was willing to donate his kidney for her transplant surgery.

"Try Me"

  • "Don't you mess with me / The way I kissed your scars / The way I fixed your heart / Don't you mess with me, babe."

Kissing her scars? That seems like an obvious nod to Gomez's recent kidney transplant surgery, which left her with a literal scar on her leg.

"I Was Never There"

  • "Ooh, when no one know what love is / And I know it ain't you for sure / You'd rather something toxic / So, I poison myself again, again."

Gomez's unstable on-again, off-again relationship with Bieber has been highly publicized for years. If the "toxic" shoe fits . . .

"Hurt You"

  • "And now I know relationship's my enemy / So stay away from me / I'm warning you / You try to fill the void with every man you meet."
  • "When you're with him, you close your eyes and think of me / Just call me up again."

Since her last break up with Bieber, Gomez was linked to musicians like Charlie Puth, Zedd, and The Weeknd. There's absolutely nothing wrong with dating multiple guys (and who even knows which of those rumored relationships were legit, other than The Weeknd), but we have a feeling that's what he's referencing when he sings "You try to fill the void with every man you meet."

"Privilege"

  • "Enjoy your privileged life / 'Cause I'm not gonna hold you through the night / We said our last goodbyes / So, let's just try to end it with a smile."
  • "And I don't wanna hear that you are suffering / You are suffering no more / 'Cause I held you down when you were suffering."
  • "They said our love is just a game, I don't care what they say / But I'ma drink the pain away, I'll be back to my old ways."

"I held you down when you were suffering" seems to be another nod to how he helped Gomez through some trying times throughout their courtship, while "They said our love is just a game" could be a way to call out the people who speculated that they were only dating for the publicity.

17 Times Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz Showed Us All What True Friendship Looks Like

If you looked up the term "best friend goals" in the dictionary, chances are you'd find a photo of Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz. Not only did they star together in the 2006 film Bandidas, but the ladies have been friends since 2001, and Penélope was even front and center when Salma wed Francois-Henri Pinault in Italy in 2009. In an interview with Vogue back in 2011, Salma opened up about her best friend and praised her for her accomplishments. "It is great to see somebody who you think deserves it get everything she has ever dreamed of," Salma gushed. "It's magical. It gives you hope."

Penélope also spoke about their close bond and the hilarious nicknames they have for each other in an interview with Allure magazine in 2014. "She's one of my best friends," she said. "We call each other huevos [eggs]. It was because when we were working together, we didn't have children yet, so we used to sleep much more than now. So it was a way to call each other lazy." Something tells us that Salma and Penélope are far from lazy.

Spoiler: There Is NOTHING Delicate About Taylor Swift's Cool, Edgy Shearling Jacket

Even if you are not a "Swiftie" who makes it a point to research and discover everything from what Taylor Swift ate for breakfast to the exact Tiffany & Co. necklace she wears for boyfriend Joe Alwyn, you will still love the jacket she wears in her second "Delicate" music video. Essentially, the shearling leather coat - and yes, the "J" chain - is all you can really make out of Taylor's outfit as she spins around in the woods recording a selfie-style piece (how Selena Gomez "Wolves" of her).

While her first "Delicate" video comprised so many trendy, fashion girl things (a transformable Naeem Khan fringed dress! Christian Louboutin heels!), Taylor's laid-back outerwear feels fresh and pretty on trend. We saw SO much shearling on the Fall 2018 runways. Call us "Swifties," but we went hardcore shopping for Taylor's cozy piece, which is actually a lot more badass moto babe than it is "delicate."

Do You Airbrush Your Body When You're Wearing a Swimsuit? Good - Target Hears You

Swimsuit season is here and Target is hoping to help customers shake off body insecurities by removing the stress associated with finding the perfect suit. The mega-brand just released its new 2018 swim line that features over 1,700 size-inclusive styles that cater to all body types. In addition to the new designs, Target also released a new ad campaign that "celebrates women and encourages them to embrace the beauty of their own bodies."

While Target has been a leader in the body-positive movement before, this season's swim collection might be the most inclusive in the brand's history. Models of all shapes, sizes, and colors star in the swimsuit ads that feature no reshaping or airbrushing of any kind - a much welcome deviation to the photoshopped-to-perfection ads we are used to seeing.

As if you needed another reason to be obsessed, the brand's new collection is totally affordable too! The entire line ranges in price from $15 to $50, with most items coming in under $25. Click through to see all of Target's inspiring campaign images ahead, and shop every piece shown.

Meghan Markle Loves These Sunglasses, So We Obviously Also Want a Pair

It's no secret that Meghan Markle loves fashion, and the royal bride-to-be has such an amazing sense of style that anything she wears generally becomes sold out in a matter of days, if not minutes. And while some of these sought-after pieces do get restocked, most tend to stay out of stock for quite extensive periods of time.

Case in point with a pair of FINLAY London sunglasses, which Meghan wore when she and Prince Harry made their first public appearance as a couple. According to the brand, the former Suits star caused an unprecedented global demand for the sunglasses, which sold out in a few hours. "We have seen a sales uplift in the past from celebrities wearing FINLAY, however, the impact from Meghan wearing [our sunglasses] has been on a different scale," explained David Lochhead, cofounder of the brand.

Luckily, the Percy Light Tortoise Sunglasses ($180) have now been restocked, right in time for the beginning of Spring. Read on to get a closer look at Meghan's shades, then shop her exact pair, as well as similar options.

Miley Cyrus Went Down a Rabbit Hole and Came Up With Some NSFW Easter Outfits

Just in time for Easter, Miley Cyrus gave us a whimsical look into how she celebrates the holiday. The star decided to create her own photo shoot with the help of photographer Vijat Mohindra and styled her own outfits. In one look, Miley wore a towel-like strapless dress and giant pink bunny ears while holding a white cat. For her next take, the star went slightly more NSFW. She stood in a life-size Easter basket while rocking a sheer bodycon dress that showed off, well, everything. A pink carrot prop matched the pink hues of her hair. This whole photo shoot might confuse the average reader, but if you're loyal fans of Miley, you'll totally understand her vibes.

Just check out how her style has evolved! Miley's the one star who always has fun with her outfits, never taking herself too seriously. "If everything is cute . . . it works together, so pile it on and wear all your favorites at once! No such thang as too much!" she said to Vogue. Miley certainly held herself to her own words as she put together a dreamy world where the Easter bunny would have a blast. Read on to see all of Miley's outfits for the holiday - they just might spark some ideas.

Chrissy Teigen Has No Problem Wearing These Rope Heels - on the Other Hand, We'd Be Sweating

Chrissy Teigen stepped out in NYC for an appearance on the Today show, and she was dressed to the nines in a romantic, floral Zimmermann dress ($630), a professional tan blazer, hoop earrings, and sky-high Saint Laurent rope sandals ($895) that, quite literally, would make us weak at the knees. Nevertheless, Chrissy powered on like the supermodel that she is - this does seem to be her pregnancy style mantra - taking not one wobbly step.

On the other hand, we'd be nervous to walk confidently in these wraparound stilettos, whether or not we were expecting. But Chrissy's fervor is quite the inspiration, and also works as encouragement. We do love the nautical vibes of the cords on her footwear (and, by the way, there's a flat version if you can't fathom the height). Ahead, get a closer look at Chrissy's bold move, then shop her exact shoes along with similar iterations, to show you're a brave fashion soul.

Hailee Steinfeld Is Officially Part of the Niall Horan Fan Club With This $35 T-Shirt

Fans are always eager to see their favorite celebrities together, so when rumors circulated that Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan might be more than friends, the internet went wild. The two have not confirmed any sort of relationship, but we do know Hailee is definitely a fan of Niall and his music. She recently snapped a photo of herself in a t-shirt from his merchandise line that read "Niall Horan" in white letters. Hailee then wrote the caption "51.4613° N, 0.1156°." If you input the coordinates, it takes you to the neighborhood of Brixton, London. (Niall was a former member of British-Irish pop boy band One Direction, just in case you forgot.)

Hailee styled her fan tee with blue jeans and black boots. We're not saying her shirt is concrete proof she's seeing the singer - anyone can buy it on Niall's official website - but this photo does give another look into the two's friendship. On the other end of the rumor spectrum, Hailee could possibly be hinting at a future artist collaboration. She's a singer herself, so a song with Niall wouldn't be too surprising. As interesting as all these speculations are, though, we won't know anything for certain until Hailee or Niall confirms the information. Read on to see Hailee's Twitter photo, then shop her exact shirt and other boy band tees.

Through the years, whether they were spotted at Fashion Week, on a red carpet, or at an official event, Charlotte and Charlene have given us plenty of outfit inspiration. Always impeccably dressed, they never appear to be following any kind of fashion protocol, and they never shy away from one of our favorite pieces of clothing: pants.

From jeans to leather trousers and track pants, the stylish royals have worn them all, proving over and over again that dresses aren't always the best option. Read on to get a closer look at all the times Charlotte and Charlene were the coolest princesses of them all.

Meghan Markle Made These Bags So Popular, They Just Won't Stay in Stock

It's no secret that Meghan Markle has an amazing sense of style. Over the past few months, we've loved analyzing every single one of her outfits, discovering new brands along the way. If there's one thing we've learned, however, it's that while the former Suits actress clearly has a thing for dainty jewelry and statement coats, she also has an eye for gorgeous handbags.

For her very first official engagement, Meghan chose a tote bag by Strathberry, which, according to a press release from the Scottish brand, sold out in 11 minutes flat. A few weeks later, she once again carried one of the brand's creations, showing that she's not afraid to go against protocol.

Meghan's apparent love for Strathberry made us want to learn more about the brand, so we chatted with the team to find out the answers to all of our burning questions. Read on to get the details on everything from how the "Meghan Markle effect" has impacted the company to the possibility of Kate Middleton carrying one of these purses too.

Finally! The Perfect Work Bag That Fits Your Laptop and Looks Stylish

If you're anything like me, your everyday handbag is your life. I carry all my must haves, from my gym shoes to my laptop and half my makeup collection. I've spent years searching for the perfect commute bag, and at long last I discovered this Cuyana Oversized Carryall Tote ($265). Finally something that is worth the price!

There are a few requirements I look for in the ideal bag. Firstly, a tote silhouette is a must because it's so simple to dig through and carry. I also like a good, quality leather that I know will last. Additionally, I'd like something I can mix and match with all my outfits yet still look stylish with.

This bag has two added bonuses that completely sold me: a zipper and a crossbody strap. Being able to close the top is great for security reasons, especially when you take public transportation. The strap is a total selling point because it's rare to find large bags with them. You can use it as an overnight bag or it's great on the plane when you're traveling. It's even large enough for a 15-inch laptop!

I've had my bag for a while now and can't get over how much I love it. It's comfortable and looks chic, and people constantly ask me where it's from. I love the beige shade, but it also comes in white, navy, and black. So stop carrying that old bag you hate and treat yourself to this convenient and cool choice.

Why It's Time to Celebrate Average-Size Women

You Probably Thought These Work Pants Were Outdated, but Angelina Jolie's Bringing 'Em Back

Even though Angelina Jolie usually wears all black or neutral tones from head to toe, there's always some element of her outfit to call out, from a bold designer bag to a pair of sunglasses, like the Fendi shades she's got on. While we've seen Angelina bundled up in a black wool trench before, we're particularly concerned with the silhouette of her trousers, which have a slight flare.

More specifically, we're hating on ourselves for misplacing this style a year or two ago, when cropped work pants in a pencil fit or pooling, wide-leg palazzos became the norm. With a coat cinched at the waist, her hair pulled back, and suede, heeled boots, Angelina makes these slacks look more like a must have than a retired trend. Ahead, read on to see why all we want to do is shop for a hem that juts out just so, instead of hugging the ankle or grazing the floor.

Severus Snape Is Kind of an Assh*le (Dodges Tomatoes)

Snape was . . . a huge assh*le. He was cunning, and brilliant, and dynamic, and he was a HUGE assh*le. I love him, yes. He is one of my favorite characters in the Harry Potter series. But I also have never quite understood the ease with which we all went from hating Snape to raising him up on a pedestal that he simply doesn't belong on. Here's the thing: no one belongs on one, Snape least of all.

Severus Snape teaches us the ultimate lesson: that just because we've done bad things, it's never too late to seek and find redemption and forgiveness. His unwavering love for Lily is a testament to the power of the sentiment, to the mountains it can move, and to the lasting effect it can have on one person, and on the world as a whole.

But Snape was also a bully. He was cruel to Harry. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence on a dark path that culminated in his initiation as a Death Eater. Part of why he lost Lily's friendship in the first place is because he sought the company of future Death Eaters at Hogwarts.

In the epic Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Prince's Tale chapter, so much about Snape's past is revealed, and not all of it is pretty. This conversation from Lily and Snape's days at Hogwarts showed their friendship unraveling.

". . . thought we were supposed to be friends?" Snape was saying, "Best friends?"

"We are, Sev, but I don't like some of the people you're hanging round with! I'm sorry, but I detest Avery and Mulciber! Mulciber! What do you see in him, Sev, he's creepy! D'you know what he tried to do to Mary MacDonald the other day?" Lily had reached a pillar and leaned against it, looking up into the thin, sallow face.

"That was nothing," said Snape. "It was a laugh, that's all -"

"It was Dark Magic, and if you think that's funny -"

Harry kept his distance this time . . . He watched as Lily joined the group and went to Snape's defense. Distantly he heard Snape shout at her in his humiliation and his fury, the unforgivable word: "Mudblood."

This moment still makes my stomach turn. Yes, Snape was hurt, and yes we all say and do things that we don't mean in that state. But his deep-seated disrespect for "lesser" people wasn't present only in his moments of frustration; it showed in the countless choices he made as he grew up, and in who he chose to cultivate relationships with - as in, future Death Eaters and Voldemort himself.

He took out his hatred for a grown man (who was long dead) on his son - an 11-year-old boy who was completely innocent. Neville Longbottom's boggart was Snape, for god's sake. He laughed in Hermione's face when she was cursed and openly belittled her intelligence for years. He constantly allied himself with the likes of Slytherin students like Malfoy whose sole purpose was to make others miserable. He sat idly by while Voldemort murdered Professor Burbage for the crime of teaching Muggle Studies. You can't tell me that we can blame all of this on the mere fact that he had it out for James Potter. Nor can you convince me that all of this was to maintain the guise that Snape was indeed still loyal to Voldemort. No, Snape wasn't a terrible person, but he certainly had darkness within him, and without someone like Lily Potter to keep it in check, that fire was fueled further. Snape's hatred of James and his friends coupled with his utterly unrequited love for Lily twisted him into something that, in many ways, was terrible. Even when he knew that Lily's entire family - a baby included - was targeted by Voldemort, he thought only of Lily, and in turn, only of himself:

"You disgust me," said Dumbledore, and Harry had never heard so much contempt in his voice. Snape seemed to shrink a little, "You do not care, then, about the deaths of her husband and child? They can die, as long as you have what you want?"

Snape said nothing, but merely looked up at Dumbledore.

"Hide them all, then," he croaked. "Keep her - them - safe. Please."

And so Dumbledore did keep Harry safe. And so Snape used his love for Lily as a reason for protecting Harry, and he put everything he had into doing just that. His devotion to this promise is incredibly admirable, and it is this service to her memory that often paints him as a martyr of sorts among fans. But this doesn't mean he was kind. It doesn't mean he did what he did happily, because Harry was, after all, James Potter's son. He begrudgingly, and yes, bravely, upheld his bargain to Dumbledore and to the woman he loved. More than anything, Snape was very brave.

"Karkaroff intends to flee if the Mark burns."

"Does he?" said Dumbledore softly, as Fleur Delacour and Roger Davies came giggling in from the grounds. "And are you tempted to join him?"

"No," said Snape, his black eyes on Fleur's and Roger's retreating figures. "I am not such a coward."

"No," agreed Dumbledore. "You are a braver man by far than Igor Karkaroff. You know, I sometimes think we Sort too soon . . . "

The idea that Hogwarts Sorts too soon is important, because I really believe that a lot of who Snape became is due to where he came from and who he fell in with in Slytherin. Maybe if he'd been in Gryffindor with Lily's goodness to guide him, everything would have been different. But he wasn't, and who he was is due in large part to this. Maybe he never really had the chance to foster the part of him that could love the way he loved Lily. Maybe, like Tom Riddle, Snape is yet another character who proves that had someone given them love they so desperately needed (and deserved), something else entirely would have come to pass.

Whatever his reasons for protecting Harry were, he didn't waver in his task once he agreed to it. Above everything, I think this is what I admire most about him. He did whatever it took to keep Lily's son alive. And in the end, I do believe he cared for Harry. Somewhere along the way, Snape was able to throw off the cloak of cold hatred he had wrapped himself in years before and objectively see that Harry wasn't so much like James after all, at least not in the ways he always expected to find, and therefore saw. The moment I realized that it wasn't only about Lily anymore was when he found out Dumbledore's devastating plan.

"I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter's son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter -"

"But this is touching, Severus," said Dumbledore seriously. "Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?"

"For him?" shouted Snape. "Expecto Patronum!"

From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.

"After all this time?"

"Always," said Snape.

Stubborn until the bitter end, Snape still couldn't bring himself to admit that what he did was for anyone but Lily. And maybe that's true. Maybe his motives were selfish, and maybe he's an overall sh*tty guy whose attempt at fulfilling a promise in honor of the memory of a woman he loved just happened to, by default, have wonderful results. I don't think so. But maybe it doesn't really matter why he did what he did.

No, I don't think Snape was a great person, but I certainly think Snape did great things. Snape is one of my favorite characters because he was so imperfect. His motives were never pure, he was majorly flawed, he was born and raised in darkness and could have clung to it - and in many ways did. But somewhere deep down he realized - I think in part because of his relationship with Dumbledore - what it truly meant to fight on the side of good. Despite everything he'd been through in his rather bleak life, he was capable of a love so deep, it literally changed the tide of a war. He played his part in saving Harry's life, and in turn, he played his part in saving the wizarding world from something far more terrible than the decades-old grudge of a sad and lonely man.

I think we romanticize Snape, we raise him up on that pedestal - one he can't ever live up to because the stains of his past will always be a part of him. But I love Snape, stains and all, because he epitomizes what these books stand for. The strength of bravery, the reality of failure and the hope of forgiveness, the importance of perseverance, the beauty of unwavering loyalty, the reassurance that light can and will drive out the darkness. And most of all, the monumental power of love. Always, love.

How an Award-Winning Broadway Designer Uses Costumes to Tell an Entirely Different Story on Stage

Image Source: Getty / Dia Dipasupil

I've seen quite a few Broadway shows in my day. I consider myself a huge fan of theater and feel fortunate to frequent the Great White Way. While I have a deep appreciation for every last musical and play, once in a while, for one reason or another, a show will stay with me long after the final bow. Most recently, it was the show Once on This Island, and beyond the singing and the acting and the atmosphere and the story, one thing really stood out: the costumes.

Image Source: Getty / Dimitrios KambourisClint Ramos

Clint Ramos, the mastermind behind the costumes for the 2017 revival of the show, told an entire tale of his own through the clothes the characters wore in each scene. "The creative team went to Haiti to take pictures, so every costume you see is based on a real picture of a real person in Haiti," he told POPSUGAR. "It was a matter of taking those photographs and going to find those clothes, but in some instances, we made them. Then we took them and distressed them to make them look like they'd been worn forever."

Once on This Island tells a story within a story, all of which unfolds on the island of Haiti. The folktale at the heart of the plot is centered on a poor girl named Ti Moune, who falls in love with a rich boy from the other side of the island. To help her along the way are four island gods, and they - along with their costumes - are the true stars of this show.

The creative team drew heavily on Haiti's recent hurricane devastation to craft the sets and the costumes, and that fact is apparent from top to bottom. For the gods in particular, Ramos set out to tell Haiti's story through the evolution of their costumes. "It sort of acknowledges the ravages and detritus as materials to compose the costumes," he said. "Take Papa Ge [the Demon of Death]; it's, like, this crazy homeless person who is collecting Coca-Cola cans for recycling in the beginning, and we reconstituted the cans as the god's spiked spine. And she's originally seen with her goat and [the god's] horns are fashioned after that."

During the parts of the show where the main characters are not gods, they are portrayed as commoners in Haiti - but each costume references the other. For Asaka, Mother of the Earth, she begins by taking care of the townspeople and feeding them. As she transforms into the goddess role, her costume turns into a ballgown made of a tablecloth and the same athletic jersey from the beginning. Ramos wanted to be sure to have subtle nods between the characters so the audience could really connect them.

That was not the case, though, with Ti Moune's iconic red dress - the costume that she wears throughout the story. It starts as a plain red sundress, but ultimately evolves into different dresses as the story progresses. "As she gains divinity, as she becomes more and more pronounced in the musical, ultimately ending up being a goddess, why not make that red dress grow and transform into different things?" Ramos said of her ever-evolving costume.

"I'm an immigrant, so I love those stories about being an outsider trying to fit in and make sense of their new world."

The costumes on display in Once on This Island are what's generating buzz right now, and it's with good reason - it's far from Ramos's first foray into Broadway costume design. In fact, he took home the Tony Award for his work in the play Eclipsed, written by Danai Gurira and starring Lupita Nyong'o. Eclipsed tells the real story of five Liberian women trying to survive the Second Liberian Civil War. "Part of my job was to honor these women," Ramos noted. "And the only way I could honor them was to make sure that I got the way they appeared right."

The creative team for Eclipsed, like Once on This Island, went to Africa for background research and shot photos for Ramos to work with when designing his costumes. "We created this ironic dissonance with these mundane American t-shirts mixed with this traditional African garb. For instance, you'd see a photograph of a woman running because her village is being burned and she's wearing a traditional African skirt, yelling for help, but she's wearing this old giveaway t-shirt from a f*cking dental office in Ohio," he said. Ramos also noted that so many of the clothes in Africa were American discards and described a level of "f*cked-upness" that's almost hard to imagine.

Ramos, who is a Filipino immigrant, said that Eclipsed was one of his favorite projects ever because he feels drawn to stories that have a message of change. "I'm an immigrant, so I love those stories about being an outsider trying to fit in and make sense of their new world," he said, referencing the struggles the characters face in Eclipsed. "That show was also the first time in Broadway history that the creative team and cast were all black women, so it's an extremely important show." And as the first person of color to take home the Tony for costume design, that message is one that resonates deeply within him.

You can see Ramos's work live on Broadway now in Once on This Island.
