The 6 Most Important Issues in the World, According to Millennials

We all know that millennials have a lot of feelings. It's that abundance of feelings that countless brands, marketers, and entrepreneurs have seized upon, crafting their products to the needs of the 20-something, shifting their messaging to be more in line with the ideals that millennials embrace. But while it's easy to identify and target a specific demographic, success among a particular generation is far less frequent. It can be incredibly difficult to separate what a group cares most about from what it is they want others to believe is their raison d'être - and those two sentiments are not always in line with one another.

As the first age group to enter maturity with access to the internet and social media, millennials have a unique brand of public persona that can sometimes be completely independent from an individual's true feelings. As a result, it's hard to predict what apps will be popular with millennials a week from now - let alone what global issues they find to be of most concern. That is, until the Global Shapers Survey came along.

Now in its third year, the World Economic Fund's annual poll measures the pulse of millennials on issues ranging from economic inequality to climate change and everything in between. The nearly 25,000 participants in the 2017 survey came from 186 different countries, and those involved were asked questions pertaining not only their city or town, but also about the world they live in.

Ahead, we've highlighted the top six issues that matter the most to millennials, according to this year's study. For a more in-depth look at what these findings mean, check out the full report or head over to the Global Shapers site for more information.

The Completely Addictive Method of Grilling Steak

The reverse sear method for cooking steak is arguably one of the best indoor techniques, and a similar concept can be applied when grilling steak outdoors on a charcoal grill. Instead of slow-cooking in the oven, the steak is first smoked (positioned away from the charcoal), and instead of searing on a skillet, the steak is finished directly over the charcoal for just a few minutes on each side. You're left with perfectly juicy steak and a crisp exterior, no burnt bits or accidental overcooking. You can do this, grill master, you.

Here's what you'll need:

  • A charcoal grill
  • Hardwood lump charcoal
  • Gelled alcohol
  • Stick lighter
  • Barbecue tongs
  • Mesquite wood chunks (or any other type)
  • 2 (12-ounce) strip steaks (at least 1-inch thick)
  • Ghee or clarified butter
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte Are the Sweetest Duo in His First Portraits!

Prince Louis's first official portraits have arrived! Just a week after his exciting debut on April 23, new mom Kate Middleton shared more sweet photos of her baby boy taken on Princess Charlotte's third birthday at Kensington Palace. In one snap, big sister Charlotte plants a kiss on her brother's forehead, and, yes, our hearts are melting. In the other photo, Louis stares off into the distance with a serious look on his face, closely resembling his proud father, Prince William.

Continuing with tradition, Kate was behind the lens to capture the adorable moment between the new royal and his sibling. The portraits mark the first time Kate and William's children have been seen together. William took George and Charlotte to meet Louis shortly after his birth at St. Mary's Hospital in London, but the toddlers were back at home before the royal couple posed for photos with their newborn outside the Lindo Wing.

The next major event for the royal family is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, set for May 19. Although Louis won't be there, we can expect to see photos of George and his sister Charlotte stealing hearts as a pageboy and bridesmaid, respectively. Keep reading to see more cuteness from Louis's first official portraits, then check out our roundup of Charlotte's deliciously adorable portraits over the years.

Don't Worry, Blake Lively's Back on Instagram, and She's Following Ryan Reynolds Again

Update: If Blake Lively's departure from Instagram left you heartbroken, never fear. After a brief hiatus to promote her upcoming film A Simple Favor, the 30-year-old actress is back and so are her 242 posts! Blake reuploaded her page (who knows how long that takes) and posted a chic throwback photo, joking that social media has officially "taken her chill." While the fun and games of this specific publicity stunt may be over, don't count any out in the future. Blake's currently only following two accounts: Ryan Reynolds (again, LOL) and an account dedicated to her character, Emily Nelson. What happens next?

Original story: Blake Lively is playing with our hearts like she did Dan Humphrey's, except this time, it's all in the name of publicity. On Monday night, the 30-year-old actress wiped her Instagram account, ridding us and her loyal 20.4 million followers of those hilarious jabs at hubby Ryan Reynolds and even sweet photos with Big Bird. Not only did she wipe her page, but she unfollowed everyone previously on her "Following" list, and has since followed 28 random people named "Emily Nelson."

Pretty bizarre, but with Blake's bio simply reading, "What happened to Emily?" we can safely assume "Emily" is not the new "Becky with the good hair," but is, in fact, Blake's character in her new movie A Simple Favor, out Sept. 14. Blake stars in the upcoming thriller movie alongside Anna Kendrick, where Anna's character (a mommy blogger) tries to get to the bottom of her best friend (Emily's) disappearance.

Right before wiping her photos, Blake treated followers to a creepy game of hangman with the answer spelling out, "What happened to Emily?" Read on to see reactions from those who just can't fathom why Blake would do such a thing and even some lucky Emily Nelsons who were followed.

Everything You Need to Know About Succession, HBO's Twisted New Family Drama

HBO seems to have the magic touch, doesn't it? Joining the network's repertoire of massively successful series - including Big Little Lies, Game of Thrones, and Westworld, to name a few - is Succession, a tense new drama that looks full of twists, backstabbing, sabotage, and plenty of familial strife. The series dropped its first trailer on Sunday, finally giving us a good look at what we can expect when it premieres in a few months. Interested? Want to know more? Here are all the big details you should brush up on.

The Story

Succession follows the dramatic ups and downs of the various members of the Roy family, who are struggling to overcome a great deal of inner turmoil. When aging patriarch Logan Roy, who is the leader of a global-media empire, begins to step back from the conglomerate he built, his three children begin to duke it out for control of the company. Of course, when one of them decides maybe her interests are better served under a different name in the media world entirely, the real drama begins to unfold.

The Cast

War & Peace's Brian Cox stars as Logan, while his three warring children are played by Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Jeremy Strong. Alan Ruck and Natalie Gold are also on board. As for the production team, The Big Short's Adam McKay is serving as executive producer, and Jesse Armstrong (who created British shows Fresh Meat and Peep Show) is the creator.

The Trailer

The Premiere Date

Keep an eye out for Succession this Summer - it'll hit HBO on June 3 at 10 p.m. EST.

13 Reasons Why Cast: Who's Single and Who's Taken

13 Reasons Why has been a huge topic of conversation ever since it premiered on Netflix last year. Not only did the show spark important conversation about mental health, bullying, rape, and suicide, but the stellar cast has also quickly taken over Hollywood. Made up of mostly unknown actors, the stars who are behind Hannah Baker's 13 reasons piqued our interest from the start. Not only have we obsessed over their real-life friendships and how hot some of the guys on the show are, but we also found ourselves curious about their dating lives. We were pretty heartbroken when we found out Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen) has a longtime girlfriend, but there are some cast members who are single and ready to mingle.

Alex and Jo Are Getting Married in Grey's Anatomy's Season 14 Finale, But There's a Catch

If you've watched, oh, I don't know, more than 10 minutes of Grey's Anatomy, then I can assume you've endured your fair share of tragedy. Death, destruction, and natural disasters are an everyday occurrence for the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial, after all. Whether you only started watching this season - the medical drama's 14th, if you can believe it - or you've been a loyal fan from its very first year on TV, I have some extremely good, uplifting news to share for a change: two of your favorite characters are getting married!

According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming finale episode on May 17 will feature a wedding for Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers). The couple has had to navigate some pretty rough ups and downs since getting together in season nine, including a failed proposal, an abusive ex-husband, a jail scare, and finally the death of said ex-husband. It's exciting that Jo's proposal to Alex earlier this year is going to end happily . . . or is it?!

"I am so excited for Jo and Alex to finally seal the deal and get married," Luddington told EW of the big event. "But in true Jolex form, the wedding will have lots of twists and turns to it."

Gotta be honest here, people - I do not like the sound of that! In the past few weeks, more and more details about the season 14 finale have emerged, and most of them have been pretty ominous. For starters, both April (Sarah Drew) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) are leaving for good, though I have a sense that each of them will have emotional and worthy goodbyes as opposed to getting killed off the show. And then there's star Ellen Pompeo's recent tweet, when she described the episode as "not easy." Also, EW's exclusive photo from the episode is of Jo, Alex, and Meredith looking pretty freaked out. Could it be something to do with Alex's estranged mother?

Unfortunately I don't have any more concrete answers for you, so let's all focus on the one thing we do know: Jo and Alex are tying the knot, and no one deserves a fairy-tale ending more.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Sacred Games: Netflix's Indian Crime Drama Will Give You Major Narcos Vibes

In case you weren't already aware, a ton of new shows are coming out this Summer. While we can't guarantee you'll fall in love with all of them, we have a feeling you won't be able to resist Sacred Games, an upcoming crime drama coming to Netflix. The first trailer dropped on May 4, and from the looks of things, there's going to be plenty of twists, turns, and drama to keep us entertained.

The eight-episode Indian series has been adapted from Vikram Chandra's award-winning 2006 novel of the same name, and revolves around a prickly cop named Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) working in Mumbai. When he's tipped off about the location of notorious crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), their lives begin to collide in unexpected (and shockingly violent) ways. The story explores the emotionally charged worlds of organized crime and politics in contemporary India, all of which hinge around major corruption.

The series was shot on location in India and will hit the streaming service on July 6, so in the meantime, check out the intriguing trailer above.

Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Step Out For the First Time Since Cheating Scandal

It's hard to keep up with Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson. Ever since news broke last month that the 27-year-old NBA player cheated on the then-pregnant reality star, reports have flown left and right about whether the two were splitting up. Well, it looks like they've decided to make things work.

On Friday, May 4, weeks after their daughter, True, was born, Khloé and Tristan were spotted together at TownHall restaurant in Cleveland. The couple was "cordial" with one another during their first public outing since the allegations, according to E! News. Earlier that day, Us Weekly reported that Khloé and Tristan are "fully back together." According to the outlet, the 33-year-old is "still in love" with Tristan despite the scandal and feels "the whole world" is against him.

While the new mom has maintained her silence about Tristan's infidelities, her family, however, has not. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April, Kim Kardashian called Tristan's behavior "so f*cked up* and has reportedly unfollowed the Cleveland Cavaliers player on social media. Kris Jenner also appeared on the show recently and fought back tears when the topic came up.

For now, it seems Khloé and Tristan are figuring things out on their own terms. We'll just have to wait and see if the couple, who started dating in September 2016 after a blind date, can survive their current relationship woes.

How Does Thanos Collect All 6 Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War? Let's Break It Down

Warning: HUGE spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War ahead!

Marvel fans around the world are still trying to recover from the insanity that is Avengers: Infinity War, and we can't blame them. The entirety of Infinity War is a race to stop Thanos from collecting all six Infinity Stones and decimating half of the universe with a single snap of his fingers. Though our favorite superheroes from all 18 previous films of the MCU come together to fight against Thanos and his children, in the end they aren't enough to stop the big bad's mission. Not only are the lives of several of our favorite characters lost, but countless civilizations are destroyed because they're in Thanos's path.

See? That's a lot to take in. It's easy to lose track of how Thanos actually collects all the Infinity Stones in the movie in the midst of all that madness, so never fear - we're here to help! Check out our handy guide for a refresher on Thanos's quest for the Infinity Stones.

  • The purple Power Stone, aka the Orb: This stone is originally introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy when the Guardians defeat Ronan the Accuser, who attempts to use the Orb to destroy the planet Xander. The Guardians leave the Orb to be protected by the Nova Corps on Xander, but it's the first Infinity Stone that Thanos collects. When Thor is found by the Guardians, he mentions to them that Thanos already possess the Power Stone after destroying Xander.
  • The blue Space Stone, aka the Tesseract: The second Infinity Stone to be collected by Thanos is the Tesseract, which was originally on Asgard with Thor and his family. In Thor: Ragnarok, Loki manages to escape the destruction of Asgard with the Tesseract hidden on his person before hopping on the Asgardian refugee ship. We see Thanos's ship pop up in the end credits of Ragnarok, and Infinity War begins with the aftermath of Thanos's attack on the ship. Loki gives Thanos the Tesseract to save Thor's life, but it comes at quite a cost - he ends up dying at Thanos's hand after a botched assassination attempt.
  • The red Reality Stone, aka the Aether: Introduced in Thor: The Dark World, the Aether is the third Infinity Stone that Thanos collects. Originally formed into a weapon by a Dark Elf, Malekith, the Aether is eventually taken by the Asgardians who decide to give it to The Collector on Knowhere because they already possess the Tesseract and believe it's unwise to keep two stones close together. In Infinity War, Gamora, Drax, Mantis, and Peter travel to Knowhere in hopes of getting to the stone before Thanos. When they get there, they learn that he's already claimed the stone, and it's implied that he's killed the Collector.
  • The orange Soul Stone: First referenced in Guardians of the Galaxy, the Soul Stone is the most mysterious of the Infinity Stones and the fourth one that Thanos collects. As revealed in a conversation between Thanos and Gamora, the intergalactic villain tasked his adopted daughter with the stone-finding mission some time before the events of Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora finds a map to the stone's location on the planet Vormir and burns it, knowing that Thanos can never be allowed to collect all six stones. However, Thanos later learns of her treachery and uses the safety of her sister, Nebula, to get her to confess. On Vormir they encounter Red Skull, the guard of the Soul Stone, who warns Thanos that he must sacrifice the soul of a loved one to get it. Thanos throws Gamora over a cliff and gains his fourth Infinity Stone.
  • The green Time Stone, aka the Eye of Agamotto: The fifth Infinity Stone that Thanos claims is perhaps the most frustrating to watch him take. Introduced in Doctor Strange, the Eye of Agamotto is protected by the Master of the Mystic Arts, Doctor Stephan Strange, and kept in a secret compound, Kamar-Taj. When Doctor Strange learns that Thanos is after the Infinity Stones, he repeatedly states his mission to keep the stone safe and seems indifferent to anyone else's safety. When a plan to take the gauntlet from Thanos is foiled and the villain is close to killing Tony Stark, Strange surrenders the stone in exchange for his safety. But perhaps it's all part of a bigger plan . . .
  • The yellow Mind Stone: First seen in The Avengers as part of Loki's Chitauri scepter, the mind stone isn't actually revealed to be an Infinity Stone until Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's the final stone Thanos collects, and it's brutal to watch him take it. The Mind Stone is housed in Vision's forehead and is the reason for the massive, deadly battle in Wakanda between Thanos's children and the Avengers. Though Wanda ultimately destroys the stone during the final battle, Thanos uses the Time Stone to turn back time and repair the stone, ripping it out of Vision's head and completing the gauntlet.

With all six stones in his gauntlet, Thanos is able to finally carry out his lifelong mission. Even with a last-minute attempt by Thor to take his life, Thanos manages to make that fatal snap of his fingers, ending the lives of half the universe. As the heroes look on in horror, some of their friends turn to dust before their eyes (Bucky, Black Panther, Groot, etc.). The film ends with Thanos alone and seemingly at peace, a smile on his face.

Since we have another year until Avengers 4 comes out, comfort yourself by remembering those who made it out of the movie alive.

FYI, This Deleted Scene From Black Panther Will Rip Your Heart to Pieces

There's something to be said about the many layers of Black Panther. On one hand, the film is an action-packed movie filled with explosive car chases and fiercely loyal, ass-kicking warriors that will make your jaw drop. Then there's the subtle moments that we're now getting to see from deleted scenes, including the latest clip of T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) talking to Zuri (Forest Whitaker) about the death of his father, T'Chaka. Although brief, the emotional moment will surely tug at your heartstrings ahead of the film's DVD release on May 15th. Grab a tissue and watch it above.

From Iron Man to Infinity War, See How Much the Avengers Have Changed Over the Years

It's hard to believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) began 10 years ago and has spawned 19 films (and that's just so far). From 2008's Iron Man to 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, we've met superheroes and villains galore, forgiven some antiheroes, and mourned fictional loved ones as if they were our own. Amal Clooney's Met Gala Dress Is by a Designer She Hasn't Just Worn Before but "Adores"

Amal Clooney scored her first Vogue cover the same month she is hosting the Met Gala, which is so very appropriate. Amal let the magazine into her home that she shares with George, located on an island in the River Thames. She spoke largely about her impactful career, but did touch on fashion, too, confirming that her look for May's ball is in preparation and that "she has been working with a designer she adores to finalize her dress."

"I hate the idea that you somehow, as a human being, have to be put in a box. There's no reason why lawyers can't be fun - or actresses can't be serious," Amal said of her style. In both visits with Amal, she is described to have been wearing looks splashed with leopard, both on a vintage Leonard dress and "boots she picked up years ago in Capri."

These minor notes, along with the lovely image of her in a polka-dot Johanna Ortiz gown (which fits in with her signature flair) give us a strong feeling that Amal has tapped one of her go-to fashion houses for her upcoming red carpet moment. Read on for a look at her feature cover, lensed by Annie Leibovitz, then check out our current predictions for the ball.

Selena Gomez's Dress Will Stun You, but It's Her Shoes That Will Stick With You For Years

Selena Gomez arrived at the Prada Resort 2019 show by her stylist Kate Young's side, both physically and literally. Selena's look - a slinky floral silk and lace dress paired with a Coach monogram camera bag ($250) and funky opticals - was just so Selena. It was romantic, a touch '70s inspired, and functional too.

I mean, you really can't argue that Selena will be able to wear those trusty, timeless mules for years to come. The shoes, complete with a chunky wooden heel, were perhaps the most understated element of her outfit, but we noticed them immediately. Forget wearing your slip with sneakers or strappy stilettos this season. Instead, invest in mules like Selena's, and you'll carry on for miles.

Somehow, Kendall Jenner Has Upped Her Bikinigram Game Even More in 2018

Kendall Jenner is no stranger to the swimsuit life - the girl likes to show some skin and share it with the rest of the world (or at least the Instagram world). Whether she's jet-setting with her crew of bikini-loving model pals like Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin or she's just lounging on the grass all by her lonesome, Jenner never misses an opportunity to show off her bathing suit bod.

Kendall bounces back and forth between swim styles, seemingly unafraid to try any trend or silhouette. We've seen her rock everything from a high-cut throwback one-piece to a sweet gingham bikini and even a leopard print thong style. No doubt there will be plenty more swimstagrams coming down the pike from the supermodel, but for now, let's pay homage to the best she's graced us with in 2018 so far.

Everything There Is to Know About Anna Wintour's Awesome Daughter, Bee

Anna Wintour's daughter, Bee Shaffer, is not your typical "fashion girl." But she did follow in her mother's footsteps. You see, 30-year-old Bee (born Katherine Shaffer) is a journalist. She currently works as a segment producer at Late Night with Seth Meyers, and at the 2017 Met Gala, Bee flaunted her brand new engagement ring with the Alexander McQueen gown she wore. Bee is set to marry Francesco Carrozzini, the son of late Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, who unsurprisingly maintained a relationship with Anna, editor of US Vogue.

Bee is hilarious. Her Instagram makes for great double-tap fodder, as she posts snaps that poke fun at her famous mom and make light of the comparisons people make about her and Trump's former White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks. (They do sort of look alike.)

We're sure it helps that Anna Wintour is her mother, but Bee has worn so many fabulous gowns over the years - mostly ethereal, floor-grazing numbers with a boho tinge - that we've lost track. As we wait to see what her wedding dress looks like (can you imagine?!), look back at some of Bee's most memorable red carpet moments, particularly at the Met Gala.

I Wore My WHOLE Closet in 6 Months, and Here's What I Learned

Last year, my closet gave me a jarring wake-up call. Was it the gold peep-toes that tumbled onto my head from a high shelf? Possibly. But my epiphany came when I surveyed my overstuffed, impossible-to-find-things-in wardrobe, then noticed how I proceeded to put on the same outfit I'd worn three times - in the last two weeks.

"Why am I ignoring most of my closet and repeating the same things?" I wondered, as I threaded my arms through a familiar distressed sweater. My first guess was that I'm lazy and generally running late. Or could it be that the outfit was conveniently located . . . on my bedroom floor? All good theories. Overall, I realized I had too much unappealing inventory and felt overwhelmed, not to mention ashamed for the excess I wasn't using.

My second question was: "How the heck do I fix this?" I've always loved doing occasional "purges," yet clearly I wasn't doing them well, since I still had so much (and used so little). I'd need to use a technique or system if I wanted to actually make a difference this time. I already knew the popular Marie Kondo method or capsule wardrobe concept wasn't compatible with my personality. To get optimal results, I decided to invent my own process: The Wear Your Whole Closet Challenge. I charged myself with wearing my whole closet within six months (with exceptions like cocktail attire) to try to get all seasons in. Anything unworn would automatically be sold or donated. I posted outfits to social media to get honest (sometimes too honest) feedback on whether to keep or ditch them.

"That dress looks like a giant green trash bag" and "You're better than those pleather pants" were among my favorite comments.

In challenge month three, the root of my problem hit me like those flying pumps. I discovered two pieces, two days in a row, with taunting tags still intact. More illuminating was their price: $15.50 and $35, from fast-fashion chains H&M and Zara. I noticed I hadn't found any tag-on items for $100 or $200 - those were high-involvement purchases I had to commit to loving and wearing. But when a metallic bomber jacket costs less than a dinner out, what's to stop me from grabbing it and hoping for the best?

Research shows fast fashion is not only a closet concern but also a big environmental issue. Americans throw out 14 million tons of clothing each year - 80 pounds per person! - with a final destination commonly being landfills or incinerators. You may think you're doing good (as I did) by hauling your donation trash bags to nonprofits like Goodwill, but they can only sell around 20 percent of inventory, with the balance going to a textile recycler or landfill.

Speaking of waste, a recent article outed fast-fashion behemoth H&M for its $4.3 billion in unsold clothing - so much that a power plant in Vasteras, the Swedish town where H&M was founded, has taken to burning defective products the megastore can't sell to create energy.

I traveled further down the research rabbit hole and discovered that Zara, one of my favorite brands, reportedly restocks with limited supplies of new designs twice a week, hooking customers like me to come back frequently and urging them to buy immediately before the opportunity is gone. Fashion is the drug, and Zara's my favorite dealer.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports that books on minimalism, like Cait Flander's The Year of Less, have been appearing on national bestseller lists. The idea of "conscious shopping" has spread throughout the millennial generation, a group known to prefer experiences to material goods. Yet fast fashion is still as popular as ever. It seems many of us are more and more willing to trade the quality of our clothing for the thrill of a deal.

Before my Wear Your Whole Closet Challenge, I was just another sheep in the "cheap quantity" flock. Our consumer-happy society makes us think we need all these things to be fulfilled, and I was a prime subscriber. Shopping has always been a little thrill for me, whether buying a $12 top or a $300 pair of on-mega-sale boots. Clothing purchases gave me that jolt of adrenaline; it didn't matter if I was really in love with the piece or just experiencing a satisfying buyer's high. Through my project, I realized having so much excess actually causes the opposite of feeling gratified, including a plate of anxiety with a heaping side of shame.

In the end, my challenge was definitely, well, challenging. As I got down to the last hangers, I felt burned out and sick of taking photos in the Winter-frigid temps. Crossing the finish line was a tidal wave of relief and accomplishment, not to mention effectiveness: my final tally revealed I've cleared out about 40 percent of my wardrobe and made over $1,500 from what I was able to sell on sites like The RealReal and ThredUP. More importantly, I feel zero regret over the pieces I bid adieu to.

While this method was a bit tedious, the simple act of having to live in each piece for a day was the ultimate torture test on what to keep and what to send packing. Now, instead of a rack crammed with way too much clothing and shelves wobbling with unloved shoes, I have a nicely edited closet space that allows me to actually see almost everything I own, so pieces aren't forgotten or accidentally cast aside.

Don't get me wrong - I still have a robust wardrobe full of treasures. I would also be lying if I ever declared myself "done" with shopping, another recent trend many have subscribed to, like the woman who committed to a year of no shopping. Still, I have been forever impacted by my experience. Moving forward, I've vowed to shop mindfully, consciously buying only quality items I absolutely adore or need.

This commitment will hopefully come in handy as I prepare for my newest challenge: maternitywear.

Emma Watson's Style Transformation Is as Magical to Relive as All the Harry Potter Movies Combined

We'll always have fond memories of Emma Watson as the precocious Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, but the actress has accomplished a lot in her career since then. Emma's become a strong activist with her He For She campaign, championed eco-friendly fashion brands, modeled for Burberry, and starred in other highly raved movies like Beauty and the Beast. Just like her vast portfolio of accolades, Emma's style, too, has evolved over time with her career.

Now more than ever, the star attends major red carpet events, and fashion houses such as Dior and Alexander McQueen are right there to dress her. Emma's not shy about experimenting with dress silhouettes - she's worn everything from minis to poufy ballgowns - and she rocks pantsuits on the regular. Even her outfits from eight years ago show she was willing to take fashion risks. No matter what Emma puts on, she can rock the hell out of it. Take a trip down memory lane by looking at some of her memorable outfits.

Meghan Markle Will Be Given Diamonds on Her Wedding Day - Lots of Diamonds

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are a very modern royal couple, and like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge before them, they have asked not for wedding gifts but donations to one of seven charities. However. . . despite being a caring and sharing pair, they are still royalty, and both their relatives and associates of the family will be sure to mark the occasion with some very special presents. Since Harry is unlikely to ever take the throne, Meghan won't be gifted with the kind of excesses afforded to the queen when she married, but she's still likely to be lavished with bling from the queen, her new husband, her new father-in-law, and overseas royals.

We can't wait to see some new jewelry on Meghan over the coming months and years, but until then, here's a rundown of the very impressive wedding jewels of some other royal ladies.

The Queen

As times change and priorities shift, we will probably never again see such riches that were bestowed upon the queen on her wedding day over 70 years ago. The then-Princess Elizabeth received 2,500 wedding presents, and many of them featured not only diamonds but also a rainbow of precious jewels. The princess's new husband, Prince Philip, gave her a hefty diamond bracelet, and her parents gifted her with a suite of diamond and sapphire jewelry, as well as the Greville diamond chandelier earrings and the ruby and diamond bandeau necklace that the Duchess of Cambridge borrowed for a state banquet last year. Her grandmother Queen Mary gave her an impressive collection of jewelry including a diamond brooch, diamond earrings, and the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.

The people of Brazil sent a necklace and earrings set with huge aquamarines and diamonds, the Nizam of Hyderabad showed respect with an impressive diamond necklace and matching tiara, and diamond mine owner Dr. John Williamson gave Elizabeth a 23.6-carat pink diamond (considered the best pink diamond ever found), which was used as the centerpiece for a jonquil brooch that her majesty still wears.

Princess Diana

The young princess was given a cache of sapphire jewelry by the Saudi royal family when she married, including a necklace, earrings, and bracelet that she wore together, plus a watch and ring that she had made into a choker/headband. Diana was also given the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara and a diamond and emerald choker by the queen, a matching emerald bracelet from her new husband, Prince Charles, and diamond and pearl earrings from the Emir of Qatar. The princess also received gifts from her new grandmother-in-law the queen mother, including a diamond Prince of Wales feathers necklace and huge sapphire brooch surrounded by diamonds, which Diana had converted into the centerpiece of a choker.

Kate Middleton

Kate was given a suite of art deco diamond jewelry by her new father-in-law, Prince Charles, when she married and has worn the bracelet, earrings, and ring many times since, while Prince William gave his new bride a pair of his mother's sapphire and diamond earrings.

Kate has kept her lips sealed regarding the source of some of the most impressive sets of jewels that's she's worn since her wedding day, but the lavish diamond and ruby suite she wore to the Military Awards in 2011 and the impressive set of diamonds and emeralds that she has worn on a couple of occasions look likely to be gifts from overseas royal families.

Getting proposed to on your birthday might just be is the best present ever. That's what happened to Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, who said yes to Matthew Lawrence and then posted several snaps on her Instagram. Cheryl sported a huge diamond halo ring that glistened from every angle. The jewelry featured a prominent center stone with a circle of smaller diamonds surrounding it. The band itself appeared to be finished with a gold or rose gold coloring, which instantly made the ring unique. Cheryl wrote on her Instagram Story, "A birthday to remember forever," and yup, we couldn't agree more! Read on to see her beautiful ring, then shop similar halo styles to pin to your wedding board.

I Drank Beachbody's Shakeology Every Morning For 1 Week, and Here's What Happened

I've been a protein powder fiend for as long as I can remember. I love to have a cold, creamy smoothie in the mornings when I'm done with my weightlifting session, and I've tried just about every brand that exists. But there's one I kept hearing about over and over again, and I'd never actually tried it before: Shakeology.

You may have heard of Shakeology at some point because it's made by Beachbody, the ever-reliable platform that gave us P90X, 80-Day Obsession, and Insanity. This all-encompassing protein powder claims to help you lose weight, reduce cravings, give you healthy energy, and support digestion. Those are some pretty big claims, so I drank it every single day for a week to see what would happen.

It Tasted Absolutely Amazing

I don't say this lightly, but Shakeology is by far the best-tasting protein powder I've ever had. I had the chocolate, vanilla, and cafe latte flavors (all vegan since I'm plant-based), and my favorite was the chocolate. The cafe latte was a close second, but the chocolate flavor tasted positively like a creamy milkshake.

My smoothie was pretty simple: Shakeology, almond milk, one spoonful of nut butter, a handful of spinach (which is why it's green in the picture), and ice. I wanted to savor every single sip of it!

It Had a Lot More Nutrients Than I Realized

Not all protein powders are created equally. I didn't realize until I glanced at the label that Shakeology actually has a ton of good sh*t in it, in addition to the protein blend, which is made up of chia seeds, pea protein, sacha inchi, quinoa, rice, and oats. There's also a proprietary superfruit antioxidant blend, a supergreen phytonutrient blend, an adaptogen blend, and a pre- and probiotic digestive enzyme blend. Like I said, good sh*t. By the third day, I didn't even feel the need to add in that handful of spinach anymore.

I Had a Ton of Energy

Shakeology promises to give you a boost of energy so you can get through your day and crush your workouts. I thought it was all just part of the marketing ploy, but I genuinely noticed a difference after I drank my shake in the morning. My mood was slightly elevated, I felt like I recovered well from my workouts, and I didn't get any kind of afternoon crash later in the day.

I Was Full All the Way Until Lunch

I tend to struggle with late-morning hunger, even on the days when I eat a big breakfast. But Shakeology was so filling that I didn't even think about eating until lunchtime hit. This prevented me from snacking mindlessly or grabbing packaged food because I was hungry and in a pinch.

I Didn't Notice Any Change in My Trips to the Bathroom

There are six grams of fiber in each serving of Shakeology, which makes up 24 percent of your recommended daily intake. Although this is a good serving of fiber, it didn't make much of a difference. I didn't poop any more or any less than I normally do, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't have a positive effect on someone else.

After my week-long love affair with Shakeology, I didn't want it to end. I'm still drinking the smoothie whenever I can, although maybe not every single day, and perhaps I'll see even more positive changes after a couple more weeks.

Here's How to Relieve Period-Related Back Pain

As if pimples, emotional outbursts, cramps, exhaustion, and feeling bloated aren't enough, the PMS demons have to throw uncomfortable back pain your way too.

Lower back pain during your period, or primary dysmenorrhea, is caused by contractions in the uterus. Every month your body builds up a thick uterine lining (called endometrium) in preparation for a fertilized egg. If you don't become pregnant, estrogen and progesterone levels drop and cue your body to break down and detach the lining, and it does that by contracting. If your uterus contracts too strongly, it can press on nearby blood vessels, cutting off the supply of oxygen to the nearby muscles, which is the reason pain occurs in the abdomen and radiates to the lower back and even to the thighs.

Chances are, if you've always had similar menstrual discomfort, it's nothing to worry about. But see a doctor if you're incapacitated for more than a few days a month or if you've noticed a sudden change in your symptoms. Meanwhile, you can ease the back pain with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, or try a warm bath or a heating pad. Avoiding foods that contain caffeine and salt can also help. And even though you have about as much energy as it takes to plop onto the couch, women who exercise regularly often experience less menstrual pain, so keep up with your routine by doing some light cardio or these cramp-relieving yoga poses.

3 Trainers Explain Exactly How to Grow Lean Muscle and Build Curves

Weightlifting has become more popular during the last few years, and for good reason. It's the most effective way to build muscle mass, which helps you burn more fat in the long run, and, despite common opinion, it will make you look leaner, not bulkier. There's another great reason to get yourself to the weight room, though, that has nothing to do with weight loss: lifting weights is a fantastic way to naturally build curves in your body. We're talking about the hourglass figure - curvaceous butt, a small waist, and strong shoulders.

"Muscle adds an amazing, toned, feminine definition to the body."

POPSUGAR spoke to Liz Letchford, MS, ATC, EMT, personal trainer and exercise specialist, who confirmed this to be true. "Heavy lifting is the best way to create strong, curvy hips and a tiny waist," she explained. When you gain all that lean muscle and shed fat all over, you literally change the shape of your body. So if you ever thought having a curvy figure was all genetics, think again!

"Muscle adds an amazing, toned, feminine definition to the body," said Dee (Diksha) Gautham, a NASM-certified personal trainer and NPC bikini competitor. She says lifting weights regularly (and safely) will enhance your figure and "help build a proportional hourglass figure all around."

So where to begin if you want to add some curves to your body? Ridge Davis, a personal trainer based in West Hollywood, CA, told POPSUGAR, "With my female clients, I focus on moderately heavy weight with short rest periods. The focus is to properly build your glutes and hamstrings, as this will enhance your shape on a physiological level and keep you burning fat on a metabolic level." It may be tempting to grab the lighter set of weights and do more reps, but Ridge says that won't give you the same result as lifting heavier weights.

"I recommend training four days a week."

Liz agrees: "My recommendation is one heavy lift per body area per week." That means you pick one day to work on deadlifts, another day to work on squats, and another day to work on upper body, like overhead presses. You're "aiming for a weight that you can safely lift six to eight repetitions, leaving only one good rep left in the tank before ending the set."

"I recommend training four days a week," Ridge adds. "Two days focusing on hamstrings, glutes, and abs, and the other two days focusing on back, arms, and obliques - those muscles that shrink your waist into an hourglass figure." He says this formula will change your body and get you feeling strong stat.

Although there is a great emphasis on booty gains and glute work these days (especially on Instagram), Dee reminds us that it's important not to forget about the upper body. "Training your upper back and shoulders can add to the illusion of a smaller waist," she said. "In addition, training your chest muscles can help enhance your breasts and make them look perkier and larger." So make sure you're not just doing booty workouts when you go to the gym.

There you have it! Aim to strength train three to four times a week, lift heavy for fewer reps, and make sure you're eating enough food. "You need to be taking in adequate calories in order to build that booty," Liz said. "While I can't speak to each individual's body type or macronutrient needs, it is a safe recommendation to say that active females need to be taking in at least 1,500-1,600 calories minimum per day." If you're still hungry, eat more! "Growth is all about lifting heavy and feeding the body so it can repair and rebuild into bigger, stronger muscles."

Ridge says if you follow these guidelines, you'll have "a win-win situation that keeps your body snatched and ready for anything all year long!" Cheers to that!
