Someone Call 911 - Iskra Lawrence's Sexy Swimsuit Just Set Our Screens on Fire

Another day, another fire-emoji-worthy bikinigram courtesy of the reigning swimsuit queen herself, Iskra Lawrence. The curve model has been sharing her fair share of picture-perfect snapshots from a heavenly getaway in the Maldives, and her latest 'gram is sure to give you a major case of swimsuit envy.

After sporting a blush Aerie swimsuit for a casual scuba diving adventure with some sharks, Iskra slipped into a gray snap-button bikini top with matching high-waisted bottoms - and hot DAYUM, she looked divine. She left the top two buttons of her two-piece undone to fully put her assets on display and styled her swimsuit with a pair of metallic hoop earrings before posing in front of the crystal-clear waters of the Maldives.

"Tryna outshine this background is hard work," she wrote when sharing her bikini snap on Instagram. (Um, yeah - we'd say she accomplished that mission!)

This isn't the first time Iskra has sported this bikini style, as she wore this very similar button-up suit in a different color. Both styles unfortunately aren't available for purchase on Aerie.com yet, so we found a few similar selections - just in case you want to emulate Iskra's latest look for your next beach outing.

Meghan Markle Wore a Prim and Proper Bodysuit to Her Wedding Rehearsal - Need Us to Repeat That?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived to their wedding rehearsal in Windsor, and it was Meghan's diamonds that glowed from the backseat. She chose Birks Snowflake Earrings in 18K white gold for the occasion, confirmed on the Canadian brand's Twitter page. The jewels are worth a whopping $12,000, and they definitely made for a pretty pairing with her unique engagement ring.

But surprise, surprise, Meghan employed yet another nifty fashion trick. The bride-to-be worked a Tuxe Bodywear silk bodysuit as the foundation of her look - not a plain sophisticated dress, and maybe not quite what everybody was expecting. But then again, Meghan tends to shake up the scene with her outfit, which is why we can only imagine the possibilities for her wedding dress. Ahead, catch a glimpse of Meghan arriving to make final arrangements, then shop her shirt.

Meghan Markle's Worn This Outfit at Least 25 Times, but Most Royals NEVER Do

Every fashion girl loves a good all-black outfit, and Meghan Markle isn't any different. Over the past few years, the royal bride-to-be has worn her fair share of LBDs and jet-black ensembles, and being engaged to Prince Harry hasn't stopped her from doing so.

Of course, members of the royal family usually reserve this color palette for more somber events. But Meghan has never been afraid to set her own rules, and once you see how good she looks in a little black dress, you'll understand why she always favors this (non)color.

Take a Deep Breath: This Is the Starting Cost to Re-Create Meghan Markle's Engagement Ring

Type "Meghan Markle's engagement ring" into Pinterest, and you'll find yourself in a deep, deep photographic hole. As soon as Prince Harry popped the question, all eyes were (and still are) on her pretty sparkler. For the ladies out there who are waiting for their SOs to ask for their hands in marriage, Meghan's ring can often be used as a source of inspiration for the gifted jewelry. Or, if you're a devout fan of the royals, you could, in theory, get her exact ring. How? One way is to design it yourself with engagement ring companies like Engage Studio.

You show them a photo of the ring you want, and they will walk you through the process. Then, if you want, they can send a replica of your ring before you actually buy the real thing. When I met up with the cofounder of Engage Studio, Ji Song, he confirmed customers do inquire about Meghan's ring and said the look of it is relatively easy to re-create. The starting cost to design Meghan's exact ring is in general, wait for it . . . about $20,000. (Obviously the price and backstory to your ring would be entirely different than Meghan's.)

Meghan's center stone is a diamond from Botswana, while the two smaller side stones are from Prince Harry's personal collection, given to him by Princess Diana. If you've suddenly found yourself intrigued by how to get Meghan's ring or simply want to get more inspiration, read ahead for all of Ji's expert advice.

1 Type of Statement Earring That Anyone Can Pull Off

From belt bags to tiny sunglasses, 2018 is proving to be the year of statement accessories. And while we're 100 percent here for them, we also know that some trends just don't work for everyone's styles or flatter their body shapes the same way. Thankfully, there are a select few that can! Statement earrings are one of them.

Because it's so easy for bold jewelry to look over the top, it's our job to step in and guide you on the path to finding your perfect pair of earrings. One way we're doing that? By including a gorgeous, exclusive pair from NYC-based designer Lele Sadoughi (originally valued at $75) in every Summer Must Have Box! With minimalist-meets-eye-catching features, we're totally convinced this style will suit anyone's hair type or length, skin tone, and personal style. So whether you've already snagged your box or just want some tips for selecting your next set of earrings, read on as we share not only what criteria to look for but helpful styling tips, too.

1. Look For a Neutral Color

If you're a fashion maximalist, it can be hard to fathom that some people just don't like bold colors. But there's a time and a place for everyone to embrace neutral shades, and earrings are the perfect excuse. A soft, muted hue will prevent them from clashing with any hair colors or skin tones. Paired with subtle pops of color, they can satisfy both color fanatics and those who are a little more apprehensive about going full-on bold.

2. Prioritize Length vs. Width

Scan through the jewelry section at any store, and one trend you'll quickly notice among statement earrings is that they can be extremely wide and bulky. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the only way to rock the look - especially if you have thinner locks or a naturally slim face. Oversize shapes can overpower your features and make everything look slightly off balance. Instead, we suggest keeping an eye out for styles that are longer vs. wider. This way, you can keep the same vibe going but with a more minimalistic approach, which is ideal for anyone just easing into the trend.

3. Find a Timeless Style

Look, we love tassels, fruit motifs, and cool, geometric shapes as much as anyone, but we can't quite say those are timeless. If you truly want something that'll see you through years (even decades!) to come, make sure to choose an option that'll transcend trends. Whether that's buying earrings in a neutral metal (i.e., gold and silver vs. rose gold), with classic stone embellishments, or even going for foolproof hoops, look for something that feels like it'd match your past, present, and future wardrobe.

The 37 Commandments of Dressing Like a New Yorker

You'd be hard-pressed to find a New Yorker who only wears black. As far as we're concerned, that's an ill-founded fashion rule made to be broken. But there is something the most stylish ladies of NYC have in common - when they get dressed in the morning, their looks are refined and polished.

When New Yorkers step out of their apartments, they do it with confidence, traveling from point A to point B without missing a step - even when they're wearing heels. The best part? Their outfits are incredibly easy to re-create. Even if you don't live in the Big Apple, you can totally dress like you do when you follow the 37 style rules ahead.

Meghan Markle's Wedding Gown Is "Heavily Beaded" - Here's Who It's Probably Designed By

Update May 5, 2018: The top contenders for Meghan's wedding dress include Sarah Burton (who famously designed Kate Middleton's gown), Erdem, and Ralph & Russo (who designed Meghan's dress for her official engagement portraits). There have also been many searches connecting Carolina Herrera and Christopher Bailey with Meghan's wedding dress, according to a Google trend report. If Christopher Bailey is the chosen designer, it could mark his final offering at Burberry before he steps down from the British fashion house. Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, was spotted with a Burberry garment bag right before the wedding, so the connection here is obvious.

Update May 5, 2018: Prince Harry was reportedly seen leaving Ralph & Russo in Chelsea, leaving people to wonder if he was indeed making arrangements for Meghan's first wedding gown, which, apparently, will be "heavily beaded" and cost more than $135,000. If you recall, Meghan wore Ralph & Russo for her royal engagement portraits. The sheer, embellished design was rumored to have been worth $75,000.

Update May 4, 2018: If you were wondering if Meghan Markle got emotional when she found her wedding dress, the answer is a resounding yes. Meghan's gal pal Priyanka Chopra stopped by Bravo's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, and Priyanka was asked if the soon-to-be royal shed any tears when she found her dream dress. While the star didn't flat-out say yes, she did smile before burying her face in her hands, which to Cohen, and fellow guest Sebastian Stan, seemed like a "yes!"

Update Apr. 13, 2018: Victoria Beckham visited The Late Late Show With James Corden, where she was celebrating her upcoming Reebok merch featuring Shaq, and she was asked if she'd be attending the royal wedding and whether she'll be designing the dress. "I'm not doing the dress . . . sadly not, but I'm sure she will look incredible in whatever she wears," Victoria said. While Meghan has worn Victoria's label before, it looks like she will stick to RTW for now.

Update Apr. 4, 2018: We may have another reason to believe that Meghan Markle has chosen Erdem as the designer of her wedding dress. People has reported that the fashion house run by British-based, Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralioglu, has taken its public relations operation in-house rather than using an agency. This has led many to wonder if this was done to protect Meghan's privacy and prevent any leaks about her dress. There's also a sweet connection if Meghan chooses the brand because this would be a tribute to her new home in the United Kingdom and a nod Canada, which is where she filmed Suits.

Update Feb. 21, 2018: People have been speculating about Meghan Markle's wedding dress designer, and fashion houses such as Erdem, Ralph & Russo, Roland Mouret, and the queen's dressmaker Stewart Parvin are all on the table. But recently, it's been reported that a spike in votes on Alexander McQueen has caused bookies to suspend betting on this very special event.

Sarah Burton designed Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen gown for her nuptials in 2011, and Meghan recently wore a tailored black suit from the fashion house - so there is a connection there. But a spokesperson told Daily Mail that "We've now suspended this market after seeing some interesting betting [on Tuesday, Feb. 21] on Alexander McQueen, who went from 16/1 to 8/1 in a very short space of time." This has led some folks to suspect a "leak" in the news.

Original post: Meghan Markle's received plenty of sketches from designers (including Inbal Dror) who have imagined her future wedding dress, and she's reportedly had one fitting at Kensington Palace. This did not go down without her trusty stylist and friend Jessica Mulroney, who flew in from Toronto to advise her on her bridal look. This all comes from royal reporter Omid Scobie, who confirmed the news to ABC and posted a tweet on his account:

"They've tried on a number of different designs and are currently whittling it down to pick the best design for the day . . . During the process, Meghan expressed the desire to wear something simple and classy and very elegant," Scobie told ABC.

There are now strong rumors that Roland Mouret is the chosen bridal dress designer. Though all he said on the topic to Women's Wear Daily was, "Mmmmm, I don't want to say. No comment. It's . . . there is no comment on that. She's a friend. And that's . . . I can't say." (Sounds kind of like a yes to us?)

It was further revealed that Mulroney is assisting the royal couple with planning many different aspects of the ceremony, which will take place on May 19. While we wait for more information, read on to see Meghan and Jessica together at an event in 2016, then check out Meghan's first wedding dress and dream a whimsical dream as you imagine her walking down the aisle.

I Wore My WHOLE Closet in 6 Months, and Here's What I Learned

Last year, my closet gave me a jarring wake-up call. Was it the gold peep-toes that tumbled onto my head from a high shelf? Possibly. But my epiphany came when I surveyed my overstuffed, impossible-to-find-things-in wardrobe, then noticed how I proceeded to put on the same outfit I'd worn three times - in the last two weeks.

"Why am I ignoring most of my closet and repeating the same things?" I wondered, as I threaded my arms through a familiar distressed sweater. My first guess was that I'm lazy and generally running late. Or could it be that the outfit was conveniently located . . . on my bedroom floor? All good theories. Overall, I realized I had too much unappealing inventory and felt overwhelmed, not to mention ashamed for the excess I wasn't using.

My second question was: "How the heck do I fix this?" I've always loved doing occasional "purges," yet clearly I wasn't doing them well, since I still had so much (and used so little). I'd need to use a technique or system if I wanted to actually make a difference this time. I already knew the popular Marie Kondo method or capsule wardrobe concept wasn't compatible with my personality. To get optimal results, I decided to invent my own process: The Wear Your Whole Closet Challenge. I charged myself with wearing my whole closet within six months (with exceptions like cocktail attire) to try to get all seasons in. Anything unworn would automatically be sold or donated. I posted outfits to social media to get honest (sometimes too honest) feedback on whether to keep or ditch them.

"That dress looks like a giant green trash bag" and "You're better than those pleather pants" were among my favorite comments.

In challenge month three, the root of my problem hit me like those flying pumps. I discovered two pieces, two days in a row, with taunting tags still intact. More illuminating was their price: $15.50 and $35, from fast-fashion chains H&M and Zara. I noticed I hadn't found any tag-on items for $100 or $200 - those were high-involvement purchases I had to commit to loving and wearing. But when a metallic bomber jacket costs less than a dinner out, what's to stop me from grabbing it and hoping for the best?

Research shows fast fashion is not only a closet concern but also a big environmental issue. Americans throw out 14 million tons of clothing each year - 80 pounds per person! - with a final destination commonly being landfills or incinerators. You may think you're doing good (as I did) by hauling your donation trash bags to nonprofits like Goodwill, but they can only sell around 20 percent of inventory, with the balance going to a textile recycler or landfill.

Speaking of waste, a recent article outed fast-fashion behemoth H&M for its $4.3 billion in unsold clothing - so much that a power plant in Vasteras, the Swedish town where H&M was founded, has taken to burning defective products the megastore can't sell to create energy.

I traveled further down the research rabbit hole and discovered that Zara, one of my favorite brands, reportedly restocks with limited supplies of new designs twice a week, hooking customers like me to come back frequently and urging them to buy immediately before the opportunity is gone. Fashion is the drug, and Zara's my favorite dealer.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports that books on minimalism, like Cait Flander's The Year of Less, have been appearing on national bestseller lists. The idea of "conscious shopping" has spread throughout the millennial generation, a group known to prefer experiences to material goods. Yet fast fashion is still as popular as ever. It seems many of us are more and more willing to trade the quality of our clothing for the thrill of a deal.

Before my Wear Your Whole Closet Challenge, I was just another sheep in the "cheap quantity" flock. Our consumer-happy society makes us think we need all these things to be fulfilled, and I was a prime subscriber. Shopping has always been a little thrill for me, whether buying a $12 top or a $300 pair of on-mega-sale boots. Clothing purchases gave me that jolt of adrenaline; it didn't matter if I was really in love with the piece or just experiencing a satisfying buyer's high. Through my project, I realized having so much excess actually causes the opposite of feeling gratified, including a plate of anxiety with a heaping side of shame.

In the end, my challenge was definitely, well, challenging. As I got down to the last hangers, I felt burned out and sick of taking photos in the Winter-frigid temps. Crossing the finish line was a tidal wave of relief and accomplishment, not to mention effectiveness: my final tally revealed I've cleared out about 40 percent of my wardrobe and made over $1,500 from what I was able to sell on sites like The RealReal and ThredUP. More importantly, I feel zero regret over the pieces I bid adieu to.

While this method was a bit tedious, the simple act of having to live in each piece for a day was the ultimate torture test on what to keep and what to send packing. Now, instead of a rack crammed with way too much clothing and shelves wobbling with unloved shoes, I have a nicely edited closet space that allows me to actually see almost everything I own, so pieces aren't forgotten or accidentally cast aside.

Don't get me wrong - I still have a robust wardrobe full of treasures. I would also be lying if I ever declared myself "done" with shopping, another recent trend many have subscribed to, like the woman who committed to a year of no shopping. Still, I have been forever impacted by my experience. Moving forward, I've vowed to shop mindfully, consciously buying only quality items I absolutely adore or need.

This commitment will hopefully come in handy as I prepare for my newest challenge: maternitywear.

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor Obliterated the Bootstrap Myth

If you've been paying attention to politics lately, you've definitely heard the phrase "pull oneself up by one's bootstraps." The term is most often used to refer to the belief that any citizen in the United States, regardless of social or economic status, can get ahead in life on their own merit, without seeking help from others or the federal government. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who also happens to be the first Latina justice to serve on the highest court in the land, recently shared her own thoughts about the contentious talking point for many fiscal conservatives during a chat with the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program.

"There's a continuing tension in America between the image of the person who pulls themselves up by the bootstraps and the person who believes that you need a lift to get up sometimes," Sotomayor said while speaking with Abigail Golden-Vazquez, the executive director of the program. "Those people who believe that everyone must pull themselves up - they don't believe that people are entitled to help."

Sotomayor expressed her belief that sometimes we all need a lift up the ladder, "no matter how tall the heel on your boot is," especially when the barriers many minorities face are just too high to get over. "Unless you do something to knock it down or help that person up, they will never have a chance," she said.

Sotomayor also opened up about being a "product of affirmative action," sharing, "I am Puerto Rican, born and raised in the South Bronx. My test scores were not comparable to my colleagues at Princeton and Yale [but] not so far off so that I wasn't able to succeed at those institutions."

"So for me, that's a constant conversation. It's not an issue about whether someone is willing to lift themselves up. There are so many barriers that we have to bring down before we can change the outcomes."

Watch her full takedown of the bootstrap myth starting at the 45-minute mark below.

This Beachbody Trainer Explains How Many Sets and Reps You Need to Do For Weight Loss

By now, you probably know that strength training is a necessity if you're trying to lose weight. Just in case you needed one more reason to believe it, Autumn Calabrese, Beachbody Super Trainer and creator of 80-Day Obsession, confirms this to be true.

"Muscle requires more fuel to function than fat does, so you want lean muscle," Autumn told POPSUGAR. "In order to build lean muscle, you have to lift weights a little bit. You need to not be afraid to lift."

OK, noted. But how do you know what the right number of reps is? If your goal is to lose weight and tone your body, Autumn recommends shifting back and forth between 2x15 and 3x10 (that's two sets of 15 reps and three sets of 10 reps). "The 2x15 is the more cardio, strength-training zone where your heart rate is going to stay up, your muscles are going to burn, and you're using a little bit lighter weight," she explained. "But I like alternating that with a 3x10 because we can't be afraid to build a little bit of lean muscle."

Autumn says alternating between these two formulas will give you the body you're hoping for - sculpted, toned, and strong. That's why she switches back and forth between these two in her 80-Day Obsession program. The goal is to simultaneously build lean muscle and burn fat.

You might see or hear some women working with very low weights and a really high rep range between 20 and 30. This is said to prevent you from "bulking" up, but Autumn doesn't really agree with that philosophy. "I don't particularly care for that," she said. "I think it leaves a lot of room for injury. When you do anything for 30 reps, the fatigue is going to set in and it's easier to let your form go."

Check out Autumn in action! Here's a 10-minute flat-belly video workout featuring some of her favorite core moves.

Doctors Weigh In on Why Sex Can Be Painful, and How to Work Through It

Although not all of us experience mind-blowing orgasms, sex is generally considered to be a pleasurable activity for both parties. It may surprise you that approximately 75 percent of women report experiencing pain during intercourse at some point in their lives. Like everything else, the pain level ranges from mild to severe and, for some women, it's a quick phase rather than a long-term problem.

But many women consistently experience moderate to intense pain during sex and can't pinpoint the reason why. Furthermore, the problem can be a source of embarrassment that prevents women from talking to their doctors and confiding in their partners. It's easy to chalk up the problem to, "there's something inherently wrong with me," when in reality, there are myriad reasons sex can be painful.

Experts weighed in and explained why sex can be painful. Once you get to the root of the problem, it's time to chat with your doctor about possible solutions, because they certainly exist.

If You're Trying to Cut Sugar Out of Your Diet, Here Are 5 Much-Needed Tips

If you're trying to make some significant changes in your diet in order to lose weight or just feel healthier all around, one of the first things you might want to consider doing is giving up sugar. There's a plethora of evidence out there proving that excess sugar consumption is linked to cancer, chronic diseases, digestive issues, and even heart failure. Eating a lot of sugar can also make you feel lethargic, tired, and cranky. Not to mention that sugary foods are often very calorically dense, making it hard to lose weight if you're eating them often.

The quicker we can all eat less sugar, the better it will be for our health. Here are five foolproof tips to help you get quit sugar safely and effectively.

Gradually Cut Yourself Off

It's never a good idea to go completely cold turkey, no matter what you're trying to give up. If you eat sugar every single day, whether it comes from soda, candy, or packaged snacks, make a pact with yourself that you'll cut down to five sugary snacks next week. The week after, cut down to four, and just keep gradually cutting down until you're down to one sweet snack a week.

The less sugar you eat, the less your body will crave it. And by gradually cutting yourself off from this ingredient, you likely won't experience that many withdrawal symptoms, like headaches, fatigue, and trouble concentrating.

Replace Sugary Treats With Naturally Sweet Foods

There are so many different, naturally occurring foods that taste deliciously sweet. Think about your favorite fruits - bananas, mangoes, berries, and pineapple. You can even add raw honey to your tea, or use maple syrup to make healthy desserts. Once you rewire your brain to get used to these kinds of natural sugars, not only will you fall in love with these vibrant flavors, but you won't miss refined sugar at all.

Steer Clear of Artificial Sweeteners

You may initially think that artificial sweeteners are the answer to your sugar cravings, but you're not doing yourself any favors by drinking diet soda and eating sugar-free candy. Artificial sweeteners are very hard for us to digest, which leads to bloating and digestive problems. Plus, when you continuously eat products that have artificial sweeteners in them, you're only perpetuating your body's craving for refined sugar, which will eventually make you reach for it and potentially binge on it later.

Stay Away From Processed Foods

There may be an urge to replace sugary foods with something salty or greasy, like potato chips or French fries, but that won't do you any good in the long run. When you consume foods that are really high in sodium and fat, you'll end up craving the opposite taste. And what's the opposite of salty? Sweet, of course! Steer clear of processed and packaged foods, and instead fill up with whole foods (and drink plenty of water!).

Meal Plan Ahead of Time

If you start your week with nothing prepared to eat, you'll be much more likely to cave in and grab a huge brownie in the middle of the day, especially if it's just lying around at your office or peeking at you from behind a glass window at a cafe. Plan out your meals on Sunday, along with your snacks. Having a bunch of delicious, natural food at your fingertips will help you bust your sugar cravings quickly and effectively.

So What Exactly Is the Difference Between THC and CBD? We Have Answers

If you're familiar with marijuana, you may already know what we're about to tell you. But no matter if you're for or against medical or recreational marijuana, learning about its components is undoubtedly fascinating. Because it's so complex, there are many different uses for marijuana. Heck, you can even match the right strain of weed to your zodiac sign. Or use weed to spice up your sex life. Or try medical cannabis to boost your workout.

All that brings us to THC. It's an acronym for its full chemical name: tetrahydrocannabinol. It's a cannabinoid compound that comes from the resin of the cannabis plant, and most notably, THC is the part of marijuana that's psychoactive. CBD oil, in contrast, is a different component of cannabis and is like liquid Xanax from Mother Nature, if you ask us. (Studies show CBD and THC each act on the brain in different ways.)

Simply put: THC alters your mood, and you get high. Along with that, you may also feel relaxed, happy, and/or snacky. If you're having problems with nausea, THC will also help deliver relief. Take too much, though, and you may swing the other way and experience not-so-pleasant side effects like hallucinations, anxiety, or even panic. In stark contrast, CBD has no psychoactive properties. Users of CBD often say that when taking the compound, you don't feel anything. Instead you feel the absence of things, most notably being anxiety.

Interestingly, levels of THC in marijuana today are nearly three times what they were in the 1990s. Be aware, though, that how you take marijuana affects levels of THC in your bloodstream. If you eat edibles, THC's effect is delayed by 30 minutes to an hour thanks to your body's need to digest the food, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Less THC also makes it into your bloodstream with an edible, blunting its effects compared to smoking. That said, it's all too easy to think you haven't taken enough, overcompensate, and experience ill side effects, NIDA warns.

All that is to say, whatever decisions you make (and depending on the laws in your state), the most important thing is knowing what's going into your body. With that info, you can make the best decision for you.

Sip These Teas to Soothe Your Stomach, Lose Weight, and Get Clear Skin

Tea is a soothing Winter drink, and it can have pretty miraculous healing properties. Did you know the teabag you choose can give you a unique result? Whether your goal is calming down, perking up, or recovering, there's a tea for that.

We asked tea expert Kristina Richens - a director at The Republic of Tea, certified tea specialist from Front Range Herbal Institute, and speaker from the SF International Tea Festival - to share what she's learned from her travels to China, India, Japan, and South Africa. She spoke about which teas you should brew up for each time of the day, as well as which ones help with certain physical goals (even if your goal is just to fall asleep!).

  • Supercharge Your Morning: Black or Green Tea. The caffeine content with L-theanine (present in these teas) will give you a calm state of alertness.
  • Get Through an Afternoon Slump: Green Tea With Ginkgo Biloba. Kristina told us that green tea can enhance performance, while ginkgo biloba can keep your memory sharp.
  • Recover After a Workout: Black Tea. A cup of black tea has 88 milligrams of potassium, which contributes to muscular recovery.
  • Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Green Tea, Lavender, or Chamomile. Time to unwind. "Chamomile and lavender are known as nerve-soothers and calming herbs," she said. Lavender and lavender oil are great ingredients to look for when relieving anxiety, and green tea and matcha also promote relaxation.
  • Snooze Soundly: Chamomile or Valerian. Soothing and mellowing chamomile and valerian root will help you slip into a peaceful slumber. Valerian root, referred to as nature's Valium, is a common ingredient in sleep supplements thanks to its relaxing properties. "Valerian is also great for drinking before bed as it won't interfere with REM sleep," Kristina said.
  • Slim Down: Dandelion or Peppermint. Dandelion has been said to help eliminate excess water weight, as well as aid in digestion - a key component in weight loss. "Dandelion's use traces back to the 10th century when Arabian physicians revered the root for its cleansing properties and as a natural aid for digestion," she said. Peppermint tea can help curb your appetite and support digestion as well. In herbal blends, Kristina says to look for ingredients like "gymnema leaves, which are known as the 'destroyer of sugar' in Ayurvedic medicine," and "cordyceps, a Chinese medicinal herb, [which] may boost energy and endurance, and can help rev up your internal engine and increase metabolism."
  • Clear Skin: Rooibos or Green Tea. Antioxidant-packed rooibos and green tea can both help alleviate acne, pimples, sunburns, and uneven skin.
  • Soothe an Upset Stomach: Dandelion or Ginger. The dandelion root is a natural aid for digestion and has cleansing properties, while ginger root is known to settle a stomach in all its forms.

Fettuccine and Tagliatelle Are Not the Same Thing . . . Right?

Pasta-lovers, it's time to test your knowledge. Fettuccine and tagliatelle are two forms of long, thick-cut pasta you've probably seen on restaurant menus and eaten plenty of times, but do you know the real difference? If your answer is "no," you're on to something . . . because there's actually no difference at all. As I learned during my trip to Casa Buitoni in Tuscany (among other things, like how to make pasta from scratch), this popular cut of pasta is named two different things based on region. It's called fettuccine in Rome and Southern Italy, and it's referred to as tagliatelle in the Northern regions of Italy. But it's the exact same thing! As a self-proclaimed pasta addict who eats Italian food 99 percent of the time, I have to say this information even surprised me. Now I'll never confuse the two on a menu again.
