Demi Lovato Found the Most Flattering One-Piece on Earth, and DAMN, She's Lookin' Like a 10

If you take a peek inside Demi Lovato's bathing suit drawer, you'll likely get dizzy, because it's filled with a boatload of stripes. The singer has a thing for striped swimwear, whether it's rainbow-colored or covered in a retro cherry print, and she just put her obsession with the classic pattern on display yet again with a new Instagram post that's giving us major swimsuit envy.

Demi shared an album-cover-worthy photo of herself posing atop a boat while wearing rocking the hell out of a striped one-piece. Her strapless swimsuit featured a prominent cutout in the front, right below a flirty knotted detail, and she paired it with aviator-style sunglasses. The 25-year-old captioned the sexy snap, "I rewear the same 5 bathing suits over and over again if you haven't noticed."

That's right - Demi has, in fact, worn this one-piece before, as she posed for a waterfall photo in Bali wearing it back in May. After digging through our jam-packed file on Demi's swimsuit collection, we realized that she also may or may not have worn the same strapless striped number back in January - but backward. If our sleuthing skills are on point, then by golly, someone needs to get this woman an award for her expert swimsuit styling skills. Ahead, shop what we believe to be Demi's exact one-piece bathing suit (which is apparently reversible), along with other similar styles.

Every Girl Should Give Gigi Hadid's Favorite Bikini a Try

One of Gigi Hadid's earliest Instagrams was a mirror shot of herself modeling a high-waisted swimsuit. Every Summer, Gigi seems to return to this one silhouette: a retro-inspired two-piece with a balconette bra top and some sort of playful print.

Though she keeps coveted labels like Solid & Striped and Zimmermann in rotation, the allure of Gigi's suits is that they're so flattering. A high cut draws attention to the smallest part of your waist, and Gigi's well-aware. Queer Eye Let the World in on the Slimming Fashion Hack I've Been Sporting For 10 Years

In episode two of the second season of Netflix's Queer Eye, Tan France takes William, a film buff who wants to propose to his girlfriend (now wife!), shopping and introduces him to an epic fashion hack: the "French tuck." Because William preferred to tuck his shirts in premakeover, but the action was giving him a bit of a pooch, Tan suggested he do a partial tuck just in the front. "You see how I've tucked in mine? It's called a French tuck - we're just doing it ever so slightly at the front," he tells William, adding, later in the episode, "It's going to balance your proportions and help you look taller and leaner." Then, as William's flaunting his new look for the Fab 5, Bobby tells him he loves his partial tuck, and Tan mentions the term again.

The funny thing about this, though, is that I've been French tucking for years - I just didn't know it had a name. And I'm glad it now has viral fame because of Tan, as it's the most slimming hack in my fashion arsenal, and I truly believe everyone should be doing it.

As someone who feels most comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans, the French tuck allows me to instantly make an outfit look just a bit more put-together while also elongating my legs and slimming me out. I'm not the thinnest, but when I'm French tucking, I feel much more lean, as Tan would put it.

But the French tuck isn't limited to t-shirt and jeans - there are tons of ways to style it.

Selena Gomez's T-Shirt Sends a Powerful Message at Just the Right Point in Time

Celebrities love to keep us guessing when it comes to their personal lives, but sometimes they drop subtle hints to let the world know what they're thinking. Case in point? Selena Gomez. While Selena's Storets shirt looks simple at first, you'll notice that there's actually a secret message written on it.

Selena showed off her new extensions wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a black tee that had the message, "Only the Strong Survive" written on it. The singer's shirt is reminiscent of other slogan apparel she's worn before, which she's been spotted in on multiple occasions.

While we don't know if she chose this particular message at a weighty point in time - her ex, Justin Bieber, just got engaged to Hailey Baldwin, JIC you didn't know - we applaud her putting on a display of girl power, nevertheless. Keep reading to get a closer look, and shop similar versions of her empowering tee ahead.

The Bachelorette: Didn't Follow Colton's Romance With Aly Raisman? It Wasn't Long

Colton Underwood certainly dated some notable women before going on The Bachelorette (hi, Tia Booth!), but the one we're focusing on today is Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman. News broke at the beginning of the season that Underwood had an A-list ex-girlfriend, and given that they're both ridiculously attractive and accomplished, we weren't surprised to hear that it was Raisman.

The two were set up on a double date with fellow Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and her husband, Andrew East, who knew Colton through the NFL. While they made a cute pair, the romance didn't last all that long. Underwood and Raisman made their first red carpet appearance in December 2016 at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year show, and the relationship was over by June 2017.

On this week's episode, Underwood revealed that he's only been in love once and he's a virgin. Although he admits that he's not waiting for marriage, just for the person with the right heart, it's nice to see that he takes sex seriously.

Princess Charlotte's Latest Appearance Shows Just How Much She Looks Like Kate Middleton

Princess Charlotte is getting so grown up! The adorable toddler, who turned three years old in May, waltzed into the Chapel Royal in London on Monday for her baby brother Louis's christening, and we couldn't help but notice how much she's starting to resemble her mom, Kate Middleton (as well as her great-grandmother, the queen!). Charlotte rocked a sweet blue floral dress and matching Mary Janes, as well as a hip new center part in her hair. Scroll through these photos of Charlotte side by side with childhood snaps of Kate Middleton, then see their cutest mother-daughter moments.

Hot Damn! Ashley Graham and Her Husband's PDA Is Out-of-Control Sexy in Italy

Ashley Graham has been busy taking the fashion world by storm, but on Sunday, the 30-year-old model squeezed in some quality time with her husband, Justin Ervin. After Ashley walked in Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda fashion show in Italy over the weekend, the couple enjoyed some relaxing pool time at the Casta Diva hotel. The pair - who will be celebrating eight years of marriage in August - were as cute as could be as they shared a few laughs and cuddled up to each other. Ashley also shared photos from their trip on Instagram, and that same day, she posted a clip of her and Justin kissing with fireworks going off in the background. So romantic!

Ashley and Justin first met at a church in NYC, and they tied the knot in August 2010. So, what's the secret to their happy marriage? "We don't go longer than two weeks without seeing each other," Ashley told ET back in 2016. "It's absolutely fabulous. I love it. We just meet in LA or New York. We meet in Paris, Miami. It's pretty sexy." Happy early anniversary, Ashley and Justin!

Um, This Hilarious Captain America Clip Just Keeps Getting Better and Better

Thanks to the magic of the internet, we now have a pretty solid idea of what it would be like if Billy Eichner had been cast as Captain America. Eichner, of course, is well-known for his hilarious Billy on the Street sketches, which have included Julianne Moore acting, Tina Fey doing her best, and some quality time with Sarah Jessica Parker. Anyway, I digress. The clip at hand is actually a snippet from Captain America: Civil War, but it's featuring audio from a Billy segment called "Lesbian Lightning Round." The clip may only be six seconds long, but I've probably watched it, like, 600 times. There's just something special about Cap rallying a bunch of lesbians.

Even better, Billy Eichner himself noticed the clip on Monday, and even reposted it and tagged Chris Evans. And then Chris Evans responded. Good day.

24 Photos of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin That Serve as a Reminder to "Never Say Never"

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have definitely had their fair share of ups and downs, but it looks like things are finally looking up because the couple is engaged! Justin reportedly got down on one knee while the two were vacationing in the Bahamas over the weekend and Hailey said, "Yes." I mean, have you seen her massive engagement ring? How could someone turn that down? Neither Justin nor Hailey have publicly confirmed the exciting news yet, but the giant diamond on Hailey's ring finger pretty much speaks for itself.

Justin and Hailey have been dating on and off since 2015, and back in 2016, the singer actually wondered if he was going to marry Hailey in the future. "What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right?" Justin said in an interview with GQ magazine. "If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard. I just don't want to hurt her." Today, we're celebrating Justin and Hailey's engagement with a look at their sweetest moments so far!

Not to mention the fact that she can't seem to lock in some new digs. After 1 Episode, Fans Are Ready to Nominate Sharp Objects For Every Emmy Possible

The following contains spoilers for HBO's latest thrilling series, Sharp Objects.

I hope Amy Adams has excellent hand-eye coordination, because fans will undoubtedly be throwing handmade Emmy award statuettes her way until the moment when she walks onstage to accept a real one for her work as troubled journalist Camille Preaker in Sharp Objects. The hauntingly bleak HBO series is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel of the same name, and it only took one episode for fans to deem it TV perfection.

The show is filled with subtle details that nod to its gripping source material, and it is a delight for both newcomers and fans of the book. Just take it from these fans, who simply couldn't keep their cool after watching the season one pilot! We can't wait to watch the rest of the spooky, twisted, and totally addictive story unfold every week.

Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz Jockey For Power in the Trailer For The Favourite

The Lobster filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos's newest project brings us a tale of royal intrigue, betrayal, and a whole lot of madness. Set in the early 18th century, The Favourite takes us behind the scenes of Queen Anne's reign.

The queen is frail and more concerned with duck racing than governing her country during its war with the French. She's cared for by her close friend, Lady Sarah, who also handles her political affairs. A new servant, Abigail, arrives just as England's war with the French thickens, and she begins to fill in as the queen's trusted companion while Sarah is busy with politics. Abigail soon replaces Sarah as Queen Anne's favorite and thus begins an insane battle for power.

The historical drama has a heavy-hitting cast, including Olivia Colman as Queen Anne, Rachel Weisz as Lady Sarah, and Emma Stone as Abigail. The trailer alone has us intrigued and ready to dive right into the madness! Watch it above, and look out for The Favourite in theaters on Nov. 23.

27 Selena Gomez Bikini Photos That Are So Sexy, You'll Be Screaming, "Come and Get It!"

Whether she's posing for a selfie on social media or enjoying a tropical vacation with her friends, Selena is proud of her body and she wants to inspire everyone else to feel the same way about theirs.

Back in May, Selena used her platform to share an important message about body image with her fans. "The beauty myth - an obsession with physical perfection that traps modern woman in an endless cycle of hopelessness, self consciousness, and self-hatred as she tries to fulfill society's impossible definition of flawless beauty," Selena wrote on Instagram. "I chose to take care of myself because I want to, not to prove anything to anyone." Take a look at some of Selena's hottest swimsuit moments ahead.

Prince Louis Was Passed the Eff Out at His Own Christening, Which Is, Honestly, Pretty Impressive

Listen, getting baptized is hard work, and sometimes you just need a nap before the sacrament. Prince Louis proved this fact when he arrived at his own christening on Monday in London, snoozing soundly in the arms of his mom, Kate Middleton. Kate, clad in a bespoke Alexander McQueen ensemble, held on to her sleepy 3-month old son as they greeted the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Chapel Royal on the grounds of St. James's Palace. At one point, the duchess even quipped, "I hope he stays like this."

Related: Prince Louis's Godparents Have Been Announced

Louis's ceremony was nearly identical to the christenings of his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who stayed close to Prince William on their way into the church. Louis is fifth in line for the throne, after his sister Charlotte and before his Uncle Harry, who was in attendance at his christening along with Meghan Markle, the newly appointed Duchess of Sussex. Meghan and Harry held hands as they arrived at the church behind Kate, William, and their kids. Also in attendance were Louis's other aunt and uncle, Pippa and James Middleton, but missing from the action were Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who announced shortly before that they would not be present at the christening. Louis likely didn't notice their absence because, you know, he was sleeping.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Looks Happy and Healthy While Vacationing in Hawaii After Completing Chemo

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is enjoying some well-deserved fun in the sun! The 57-year-old Veep actress recently escaped to Hawaii with husband Brad Hall, and from the looks of it, she's having a blast! On Sunday, Julia looked fit and healthy when she hit the beach in a black bikini with Brad and a couple of friends. The group explored the island, went for a scenic hike around Lanai, and soaked up the Summer sun. Julia has also been documenting her trip on Instagram, sharing photos and videos from all of her adventures. In addition to posting a video of herself doing a hula dance by the ocean, Julia also shared a cute shot of her and Brad swimming together.

Julia revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in September 2017, and we're glad to see her looking happy and healthy. The actress completed chemotherapy in January and is loving the "great results." Julia is one step closer to kicking cancer's butt!

Ant-Man and the Wasp Is Exactly What Marvel Fans Need After Infinity War

The following contains spoilers for Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers: Infinity War.

Heartbroken. Confused. Alone. All of these things describe me and many other Marvel fans following the final few minutes of Avengers: Infinity War. (And also, coincidentally, after sitting through the credits of Ant-Man and the Wasp - but we'll tackle that later.) After the unadulterated pain of losing at least half of Marvel's best heroes to Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet, the moviegoing world needed a lighthearted, funny, action-packed film to serve as a temporary distraction from the wider chaos of the Marvel cinematic universe . . . and for the most part, Ant-Man and the Wasp is precisely what the doctor ordered!

Sure, things take a swift turn for the worst after the movie's conclusion, but throughout the actual run time of Ant-Man's sophomore installment, you'll feel delighted. Just look at these fans' reactions! But after you share in their joy over the film's main plot, be sure to find solace in their shared sorrow about the midcredits scene, too . . . misery loves company.

Greta Gerwig's Little Women Remake Is Already Shaping Up to Have the Best Cast

Greta Gerwig is picking up steam on her next project, which will see her dusting off a true classic: the Oscar nominee has signed on to direct a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.

If you missed it in high school English, Little Women follows four sisters - Amy, Jo, Beth, and Meg - who live with their mother in Massachusetts during the Civil War era. Their father is away, working as a chaplain in the war, and the family learns to lean on one another while spending their first holiday without him. The novel has been adapted for film six times, as well as having inspired TV musicals, plays, and even operas.

Gerwig was originally on board to write the movie but has since taken over as director, with a pretty impressive cast reportedly in talks (*cough* MERYL! *cough*). Keep reading to see who might be playing the beloved characters in Gerwig's Little Women.

I've Got 99 Problems, and Ant-Man and the Wasp's Midcredits Scene Caused All of Them

Editor's note: The following contains MAJOR, INSANELY SPOILER-Y spoilers for the scenes following Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Next time you go to therapy, don't be surprised if the counselor ditches the age-old "tell me about your parents" for a new inquiry: "So, how did the midcredits scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp make you feel?" The first of two scenes after the latest installment of the Marvel cinematic universe completely took fans - many of who are still recovering emotionally after Avengers: Infinity War - by surprise.

You can read all about the details of the first credits scene here, but here's a quick primer: while Scott (Paul Rudd) is making a quick jaunt into the Quantum Realm and waiting for Hank, Hope, and Janet Pym to help him return, all three of his cohorts fall victim to Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet, turning into literal dust in the wind. In short: some of your favorite characters are presumably dead, and Scott is stranded in another realm.

To make things worse, the end credits also include punctuation that will rub salt in every Marvel fan's wounds. When a screen declares that "Ant-Man and the Wasp will return," a single question mark slowly appears at the end of the phrase.

What did we do to deserve this torture? Since the next Marvel film won't hit theaters to give us closure until March 2019, we'll be left mourning our favorite Ant-Man characters until then. At least these fan reactions to the midcredits scene might help you laugh through your tears.

Ready to Meet the Young Avengers? Marvel Might Be Headed That Way

With Ant-Man and the Wasp now upon us, fans may be turning toward Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, and whatever Marvel has up its sleeve next. Based on a few recent quotes from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, we could potentially see an appearance from the Young Avengers down the line. If you're not familiar with them, the Young Avengers are just as they sound: mostly teenagers working to save the world.

Who Are the Young Avengers?

After the Avengers disband, a character known as Iron Lad accesses Vision's stored fail-safe protocols, which collected data about living relatives of the Avengers and company. Among the list are the kids who become known as the Young Avengers, including:

  • Nathaniel Richards, aka Iron Lad: Iron Lad technically comes from the future. He travels back in time upon learning that his future self, Kang the Conquerer, turns into a villain. To defeat himself, he activates the Avengers fail-safe protocol and locates the other heroes. Nathaniel's only powers come from his 40th century suit, modeled after Iron Man's. Eventually, he returns to the future.
  • Elijah "Eli" Bradley, aka Patriot: As the grandson of the original black Captain America, Isaiah Bradley, Eli takes supplements for superhero-like abilities until a blood transfusion gives him his own.
  • Theodore "Teddy" Altman, aka Hulkling: Teddy is technically alien royalty. As the son of Kree hero Captain Mar-Vell and a Skrull princess, he shapeshifts at will and wields mighty strength.
  • William "Billy" Kaplan, aka Wiccan: Billy possesses a great amount of power, just like Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, and is revealed to be the reincarnated version of her son William. His skills include reality warping, teleportation, electrokinesis, flying, and a whole lot more. He and Teddy have been dating for years.
  • Cassie Lang, aka Stature: Cassie is the daughter of Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, and after his death, she seeks out the Young Avengers. Her powers manifest at just the right moment to prove she belongs to the team when she gets so angry at the impending rejection that she grows into a giant.
  • Kate Bishop, aka Hawkeye: Kate hails from a rich family and finds herself rescued by the fledgling group of Young Avengers at a wedding. She and Cassie insist on joining, though Kate lacks superpowers in the same way Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) does. However, Kate also received combat training and is one of the best archers in the world.
  • Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd, aka Speed: Tommy is the reincarnated version of Scarlet Witch's son Thomas. He takes after his "uncle" of sorts, Pietro Maximoff, with supersonic speed - hence the inventive name.

Over time, the lineup for the Young Avengers shifts. Cassie dies and later returns as Stinger; Patriot eventually leaves the team to move to the Midwest; and Iron Lad obviously travels back to the future where he came from. In the latest iteration of the team, though, a few new heroes join up:

  • America Chavez, aka Miss America: America actually travels the multiverse by punching through different realities. Her abilities also include flight, super strength, and cosmic awareness, which guides her through the multiverse. She also makes it clear her previous relationship with a guy was an experimental phase for her.
  • David Alleyne, aka Prodigy: David is a depowered mutant who used to be able to absorb information from others' brains. That knowledge was restored and he's super intelligent, but he no longer absorbs new information that way. He identifies as bisexual and has a massive crush on Teddy.
  • Noh-Varr, aka Marvel Boy: When you cross a Kree with cockroach DNA, you get a pretty damn strong alien. His gauntlets also shift into whatever weapons he desires. Noh-Varr starts as an antagonist but swings around to save the universe instead, eventually joining the Young Avengers. He and Kate Bishop have a thing.
  • Young Loki: After Loki dies, he is reborn without his memories. Thor finds him and brings him home, but Loki remembers nothing of his former villainous nature. Eventually, a disembodied version of the old Loki takes over him, and Kid Loki of the Young Avengers is haunted by his guilt.

Will the Young Avengers Be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

So where are the Young Avengers in the MCU? As of now, only Cassie Lang has made an appearance, but Eli Bradley nearly showed up in Black Panther. Scarlet Witch and Vision are together to parent the twins, and Kate could easily tag along with Clint Barton in Avengers 4. Plus, with Captain Marvel taking us on an adventure with the Kree and Skrull empires next year, that film may introduce us to Teddy.

However, Marvel characters have jumped from the big screen to the small screen before. Peggy Carter, Phil Coulson, and Lady Sif, for example, have all crossed into TV shows and movies alike. Even if the Young Avengers team doesn't make it into Phase 4 of the Marvel films, Cassie and company could always join Cloak & Dagger or The Runaways instead.

This Is When You Get Your Best Ideas, According to Science - So Have a Notebook Handy

Have you ever had a eureka moment right after you've curled up in your bed, ready to go to sleep? Well, this happens to me ALL THE TIME; my best ideas always annoyingly pop up when I'm ready to shut my brain down and I have to scramble to get a piece of paper to jot it down.

On a recent night, I was wondering whether this was just me, or whether there's actually something going on in your brain before you sleep . . . so I decided to do some research, and here's what I found:

The Science Behind Your Eureka Moment

Apparently, cognitive scientists have found out that there's a phenomenon called "pattern recognition" that takes place in the brain only when it is in a very relaxed state. In this process, the brain is relaxed enough to make new connections and allow new neural pathways to form. This helps us find creative solutions for problems we otherwise might not have thought of.

Another point to take note of is that when we enter sleep, the brain steadily dismantles the models and concepts we use to interpret the world, leading to moments of experience unconstrained by our usual mental filters.

In fact, psychologists from UC San Diego found we are at our peak in creativity during REM sleep, when we dream.

This also explains why we come up with the most creative solutions or ideas in the shower, on a walk, lying in bed at night, or even sleeping. The brain is simply relaxed enough to let those connections take place. A University of California at Berkeley study found that sleep can foster "remote associates," or unusual connections, in the brain - which could lead to a major "a-ha" moment upon waking.

Upon waking from sleep, people are 33 percent more likely to make connections between seemingly distantly related ideas.

So, bottom line, when we sleep or we're simply very relaxed, we don't process things with our usual mental filters in place, which can help us make seemingly unrelated connections.

In fact, Steven Kotler in Psychology Today explains that this is a pretty popularly known fact among creatives. Here's how you can take advantage of it:

1. Get Inspired in Bed

Swap out your phone for a thought-provoking book to read before bed (your phone isn't doing your sleep any favors anyway). Reading before bed can help prime your mind for creative thinking and you may wake up with a fresh new idea you hadn't thought of previously. (Just stay away from those thrillers!)

2. Ask Yourself Questions (and Then Forget About Them)

It can be very useful to ask yourself hard questions right before bed so that your brain can tackle it when you sleep. The key here is to forget about the question immediately to help that part of your brain that works quietly in the background rev up. Chances are, you'll wake up with a creative solution you hadn't thought of.

3. Keep a Notepad Beside Your Bed to Jot Down Ideas

Here's your solution for all those pesky eureka moments. Whenever you're thinking of something you hadn't previously considered, jot it down so that you won't forget it or dismiss it the morning when you're mental filters are in place. It doesn't matter if the idea's not fully developed; even if it doesn't quite make sense then, it might be significant after you process it in sleep.

4. Try Lucid Dreaming

"What is lucid dreaming?" you ask. Worry not, I had no clue either. Essentially, lucid dreaming is dreaming while being conscious of the fact that you're having a dream. According to psychophysiologist and lucid dream expert, Stephen LaBerge, "You could stay in that dream and then use it to explore impossible realities somehow."

Woah. Sounds like something out of a fantasy novel, right? Well yes, getting to that lucid dreaming state takes a lot of practice and training your brain to recognize when you're dreaming. A few ways to do this is asking yourself throughout the day whether you're dreaming so that you'll subconsciously remember to do the same when you're in a dream state. Waking up in the middle of the night, remembering the dream you were having and then going back to sleep, conscious that you were having this dream can also help you enter a lucid dream state.

LaBerge calls these steps the mnemonic induction of lucid dreaming or MILD technique. Why should you try this? Well, LaBerge explains, "It would give you a great deal of freedom. You're limited not by the usual laws of physics and laws of society and other external constraints on you as we are limited greatly in waking life. You are limited only by what the limits of the mind might be." Definitely worth giving a shot. After all, you have nothing to lose.

Well, next time you have an a-ha moment in bed, now you know what's going on behind the scenes. And now you have an excuse for sleeping in today . . . sweet dreams!

I'm Allergic to My Cat, and This $99 Air Purifier Makes Living With Him Bearable

Call me a cat lady, it's fine, but I love them. I recently adopted a beautiful superfluffy kitten, and to my surprise (because I've owned cats before), his long fur seemed to really trigger my allergies. Not to the point where it's unlivable, but I found myself needing to pop an allergy pill every morning to relieve my congestion. Because I also suffer from more serious dust allergies, I know using an air purifier can really help, and I was in need of a new one but I didn't want to overspend. I discovered this Blueair Blue Pure 411 Air Purifier ($100) on Amazon, and it's worth every penny.

I've been a fan of Blueair for awhile now. I own one of its larger more expensive purifiers, but keep it in my living room. For my bedroom, I wanted something smaller and more compact - and this was it. I have the 411 model, which comes from its newest and more affordable line, but it stacks up in comparison when it comes to performance. The brand boasts that it removes 99 percent airborne pollutants, such as mold, dust, pet dander, smoke, and pollen. The clean air system is made with three different fan speeds, and works for rooms between 100 and 175 square feet. My favorite features: you can personalize the color with these handy prefilters ($8). Simply place one over the filter, which helps capture larger particles before running through its main filter, making it a double-duty device.

Within hours of plugging mine in, the air instantly felt cleaner.

Within hours of plugging mine in, the air instantly felt cleaner. Most of the time I keep it on its lowest setting, which is so quiet I can't hear it, even if I try to listen. The second and third setting are noticeably stronger. I like to run those higher levels when I'm cleaning or vacuuming to suck up all that extra dust. It's controlled by a unique touch sensor that lights up with the touch of a finger, making it feel much more elevated than any other option I've owned before. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much it has improved the smell of my room, too. With a litter box in the house (and near my bedroom), I can often smell it. The purifier has dramatically reduced that unfortunate odor.

I'm not sure what it is about this magic air cleaner, but my cat seems to love it, too. Maybe it's the fan or the clean air, but he loves sitting next to it. Since owning it, my allergies are so much better, and I'm not sure I could ever live without it again.

Whether you have a pet or are just looking for some fresh air, there's no doubt this option is totally worth it.

Costco Is Removing Polish Hot Dogs From Its Food Court Menus, and Shoppers Are LIVID

Do you hear that noise, reader? It's the distant sound of heartbroken Costco shoppers quietly crying over the imminent loss of their go-to food court snack: the Polish hot dog. The wholesale retail store recently announced its plans to remove the sauerkraut-topped hot dog variation, which has become a favorite among Costco regulars, from many of its food courts across the US, the Seattle Times reports. The shocking menu edit is part of Costco's move toward offering more healthy, vegan-friendly options for customers, such as its new acai bowls.

There is, however, cause for a sigh of relief despite the removal of Costco's Polish dogs: the retail giant's all-beef hot dogs will remain on food court menus, which will still offer the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo option that bargain-seeking shoppers have come to know and love. Plus, the Polish hot dogs will reportedly be sold in bulk, according to the Seattle Times.

Regardless, many Costco customers are genuinely upset at the menu change-up, with some calling the move "heinous" and "unacceptable." Ahead, see some of the livid Twitter reactions for passionate Polish-dog-loving Costco shoppers everywhere, and you'll immediately understand just how much of a letdown this truly is.

Keep Bread Fresh (Practically) Forever With This Trick

Few things are sadder than tossing out a stale half-loaf of beautiful artisanal (or homemade) bread. The problem: said beautiful bread lacks the stabilizers present in commercial presliced loaves, and so it goes from rocking your world to rock-hard ridiculously fast. The solution: eat more bread a simple trick involving your freezer.

Here's what you should do:

  1. Within 24 hours (maximum) of cutting into a loaf, slice up the remaining bread. (Don't wait until it's already turned the corner; at that point, your best bet is giving leftovers a second life as croutons, breadcrumbs, or bread pudding.) Don't just stick the bread in the freezer unsliced. Unless your kitchen is equipped with a buzz saw, there's no chance you're going to be able to slice it without thawing the entire loaf first (trust us, we've tried).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper, arrange the slices in one layer on top of that, and put it in the freezer, uncovered, until frozen solid. (The parchment will prevent the gorgeous, moist crumb of the bread from sticking to the pan, and the single layer will prevent the slices from freezing stuck to each other.)
  3. Once the bread slices are frozen, transfer them to a resealable freezer bag, removing as much air from the bag as possible.
  4. When a bread craving hits, take out just as many slices of bread as you'll eat then, and either let them thaw at room temperature, or put them directly in the toaster (they'll take about one extra minute to toast). The texture of the bread will be about 95 percent as good as fresh bread and far better than second-day, already-starting-to-go-stale bread. Stored frozen (in a resealable freezer bag), sliced bread will stay fresh and delicious for at least six months, if not longer.

6 Closet Organization Tips I Learned Straight From an Ikea Pro

Marie Kondo once said, "Storage should reduce the effort needed to put things away, not the effort needed to get them out." From personal experience, I can attest she's right. For years I lived with my bedroom in a state of perpetual clutter for the sole reason that there was no easy place for me to put my stuff away. Piles of pants grew into mountains, purses overflowed out of one tiny closet until the door wouldn't close, and shirts took up long-term residency atop one of three dilapidated dressers because the broken drawers required exhaustive wrestling to open. Soon the room was more laundry pile than personal space. I was overwhelmed, and my response was to keep the door shut.

Despite the poor condition my clothing and accessories were living in, I valued them and had spent time building a fashion collection I cared about. I wanted a storage solution to match; something that not only accommodated all my items, but celebrated them. I wanted a celeb-worthy dream closet - but getting Champagne on my beer budget wasn't going to be easy. Just when I had given up and resigned to living in a name-brand garbage dump, Ikea reached out to me.

The retailer's incredibly talented home tour makeover squad knew just how to give me the luxurious high-fashion wardrobe storage solution I craved at a reasonable price. Designer Stephanie Recupero led the project. After seeing the space and learning of my needs, she declared that a customized Pax wardrobe was just the solution I was looking for. Check out the slideshow ahead to learn Stephanie's six pro design decisions that made my closet so fantastic, and then read how my new wardrobe impacted so much more than my clothes.

Products and installation for the author were provided by Ikea for the purpose of writing this story.

Hands up if Summer is your favorite season of the year. Who can argue with sun, sand, and surf, right? The bad news is that all of those elements can wreak havoc on your skin. That's right: no need to drop by the pharmacy for a new skincare product. These natural botanicals will have your skin glowing in no time. I Hired a Nanny For the Summer, and It's the Best and Worst Thing Ever

When I found out that I was pregnant with twins, I had no doubts that I'd be able to handle life with a toddler and two infants. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I take after my grandmother - the woman was as strong as they come - so I'd manage just fine. I brushed off people (including my husband) who suggested I look into hiring help, because "as cute as babies are, no one is coming to play with them for free." And isn't the whole point of being a stay-at-home mom to raise your own children? Well, after six months of juggling three kids (it was harder than I thought), I broke down and hired a nanny for the Summer, and it's the best and worst thing I've ever done for myself.

Without even taking into consideration the added expense, having someone work for me is slightly uncomfortable.

There are some obvious benefits to having a nanny. For starters, a trip to the store is no longer a daunting task. Without the kids in tow, I get complete control over the car radio, I can take my time, and when I leave, I don't find any pilfered goods in the bottom of my stroller or in the depths of my purse. And since one of the twins still refuses to sleep through the night, being able to swap my 5:30 a.m. workout for a 9:30 a.m. class is heaven. Beds are made, meals are prepped, and laundry gets folded and put away. It's also been a game changer for my toddler, whose behavior has sent me running for my "mommy juice" (aka wine) more times than I care to admit. With an extra set of hands at home, one on one time with my older daughter is no longer limited to weekends or the two hours at night between the twins' bedtime and hers. And while she adores her baby sisters, her behavior is noticeably different when it's just the two of us, and that alone is worth its weight in gold.

As great as our Summer has been so far thanks to the extra help, it's also taken a lot of getting used to. Without even taking into consideration the added expense, having someone work for me is slightly uncomfortable. I felt that way when we hired a cleaning lady, and I feel that way having someone come in to care for my children. I imagine conversations that take place at the end of their day: "This chick doesn't work and still can't clean her own house or take care of her kids." I hope it's all in my head, but I can't help feeling the need to compensate for it, so I try to make sure she doesn't feel like she's working too hard. And when we take her on vacation with us next month, I'm sure it'll feel more like an actual vacation than work for her. I'm not sure if that makes me the best or the worst boss in the world.

Another downside to having a nanny for my children is that it only took me one week to forget what it's like to do things solo. On her first day off, I was embarrassed by how out of sorts I felt. Thankfully, it didn't take me long to get back into the swing of things, but at the end of the day, nothing had really been accomplished and we had takeout for dinner.

In a month and a half, she'll be leaving to go back to school, and I'm both dreading and looking forward to losing her. And in spite of how uncomfortable having a nanny makes me feel at times, if she asks whether or not she'll have a job with us during school breaks or next Summer, my answer will be "absolutely."

Tokyo Disney Can't Keep This Mickey-Shaped Hand Soap in Stock Because, Well, Look at It!

If Tokyo isn't already on your travel bucket list, that's about to change in two seconds flat - all because of an absurdly adorable plastic container of soap. Yes, really . . . just hear us out. Tokyo Disney Resort recently started selling a delightful hand soap dispenser that spits out foamy bubbles shaped like Mickey Mouse's head, and Disney fans everywhere are freaking out over how cute they are.

The refillable Mickey-shaped hand soap, which was made to honor the 35th anniversary of the Japanese theme park, is a Disney dream come true for kids (and, ya know, for adults who just so happen to be obsessed with foamy soap, too). It's been quite the hit among visitors since it hit shelves - so much of a hit, in fact, that Tokyo Disney Resort can't seem to keep it in stock. The product page on Tokyo Disney's official website shows that the Mickey Mouse soap is currently sold out and will likely not restock in July despite the apparent high demand. Darn!

Our fingers are crossed that when the foamy soap does restock, some thoughtful theme park visitors will list a few of 'em on Amazon or eBay for stateside Disney fans. Until then, you can catch us lurking on all the picture-perfect Instagram snaps of this too-cute-for-words hand soap.

A 2-Year-Old Boy Died From Being Left in a Hot Car Outside His Home

A 2-year-old boy has tragically passed away after being left in a hot car across the street from his Sacramento, CA, home on July 7. Although the local authorities aren't 100 percent certain, the toddler most likely died from a heat-related death, according to a report from ABC News.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department released a statement on July 9 explaining that someone had called 911 after the child was found unresponsive and not breathing at 5:53 p.m. that night.

"It is unknown how long the child was in the vehicle or exactly how the child came to be in the vehicle," said the sheriff's department.

The temperature reached a high of 98 degrees on the day in question and stayed in the 90s until the boy was discovered. So far, no arrests have been made in the case yet. This is the 22nd child to pass away from being left in a hot car in the US this year.

Even if you think it could never happen to you, it's better to be safe than sorry. Parents should safeguard themselves as much as possible by leaving important items such as their phone or bag in the back of the car or using the teddy bear trick where the driver puts a teddy bear in the passenger seat to remind them that their children are in the vehicle.

Finding Your Mom Tribe Is Harder Than Dating - Here's What I Learned

Image Source: UnSplash / Dani Vivanco

Thirty-something/Female/Palo Alto.
Seeking other amateur, irreverent new mom who walks the line between reading every study about how to develop your newborn's optimal gut flora and just NGAF.
Bonus points if your dog's on Instagram.

"Mom tribe" is this term that people have been using around me ever since I got pregnant. "You'll need a mom tribe," friends would insist. "I'd DIE without my tribe," others would admit.

Your what? Your tribe? Why would I need "other" friends than the ones I already had? Plenty of my pals have kiddos. Granted, they live hundreds if not thousands of miles away, but I didn't see the need in replacing them or shoving them down to the bottom of the list to make space for fresh meat.

I nodded, though, accepting that these people - these experienced moms who had advice to give - knew a thing or two. And if they said I needed a tribe of moms, then I needed to find one. But where?

The hunt started while I was pregnant. I went to local baby stores in my town and asked the cute salesgirls where other moms hung out; I signed up for several prenatal yoga classes (even though I dislike yoga) and lurked after class to see if anyone was, say, taking their sugar test soon and wanted to connect over how gross the drink was. I even posted on the neighborhood social network site Nextdoor, a posting that I nervously edited several times for fear of looking desperate. By the time it went up, I'd whittled it down to essentially nothing: "Mom-to-be here, what's up?" I found no one at the yoga classes, and my Nextdoor message went unanswered.

From there I pushed harder, joining several Facebook mom groups and interacting with other people's postings. Finally, I read that someone was looking for other moms. I screamed at the screen. Me too!

This woman was new to the neighborhood and looking to meet other new moms or moms-to-be. I messaged her, we exchanged surface-level information, and we agreed to meet up. But then, like it happens in the dating world, she canceled on me. Something came up.

The quest continued, forcing me to respond to even more messages. I even joined a mom matchmaking app! Finally, after I had my baby, I found some momentum. A handful of moms who'd recently delivered were meeting for coffee in my neighborhood. I laced up my shoes and went. The experience was a perfect mix of helpful and odd. As a new mom, you're sort of fast-tracked to a level of intimacy that would ordinarily take months to get to. Things got honest very quickly.

I get it now. I get the concept of the mom tribe. These mothers are going through things only I can understand. And because our babies are so close in age, we can talk about the most boring of things, like sleep sacks with Velcro and tummy time. And even if I'm not everything they hoped for in their mom friend, at the very least, I'm in their zip code. So I have that going for me.

But if you're in a similar situation and searching for your group, here's everything I learned.

It's supposed to be awkward.

Just own it. It's basically blind dating.

It's fine if you forget their name . . . or their kid's name.

No matter what you forget about your new friend, you can blame it on the new mom fog (which is very much a real thing).

It's super easy to cancel. So don't.

It's understandable that you might not have had a good night's sleep. You're probably tired. Whatever it is, it's SO easy to cancel, and no one would sympathize more than another new mom. Which is why you have to force yourself to go sometimes. It's worth it.

Offer someone something.

The tribe isn't only about you. I remember the first time a new mom friend offered me an old diaper bag to use on a walk because I didn't have anything to hold my milk bottle in (I'd been sticking them in various pockets like a boss). I was touched because we really didn't know each other. But it meant so much. Weeks later when she mentioned she needed some formula, I rushed to offer to give her extra. It felt rewarding taking a walk to her house and dropping it on her doorstep.

It's OK to talk about nonmom stuff.

You don't have to just talk about poop and pacifiers. Talk about your careers, your families, the weird things people are posting on Nextdoor!

You're not married. You can cheat on your mom tribe if you want.

I have to accept that my mom friends might be cheating on me. At this very moment. I may not fulfill everything they need, and that's perfectly fine. As long as they keep responding to my texts every now and then and are available for stroller walks, I'm just happy to be there.

Mom Is the Only One to Survive a Crash That Tragically Killed Her Husband and 4 Daughters

A New Jersey mom has tragically lost her entire family following a car crash on the way home from a Fourth of July holiday in Ocean City, MD. Mary Rose Ballocanag and her family - husband Audie Trinidad and daughters, Kaitlyn, 20, Danna, 17, and 14-year-old twins Melissa and Allison - were headed north on Route 1 in Delaware when a southbound truck clipped another car, crossed the median, and T-boned the family's van, which then flipped over. Although Mary Rose and Audie were wearing their seat belts in the front of the van, police said at least some of the girls were not.

Trinidad's brother, Daniel, is grappling with the loss of his oldest brother and nieces. "How are you going to bury five people at the same time? There's no answer . . ." he said to the New York Post. "Now my sister-in-law is all by herself. What will she do? This is like a tragedy 100 times over."

Mary Rose, who is currently undergoing care at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, reportedly suffered multiple fractures, but is expected to survive. The mom of four is aware of the fact that her family was killed. "Right after the accident, she called her friend," Daniel said, adding that the mom cried, "They're all gone," to said friend.

Larry DuHadaway, an off-duty firefighter and paramedic who witnessed the crash, says it was "the worst one" he's seen in 28 years on the job. Despite his recount of the "horrific" scene, there's no way of knowing whether any of the girls who weren't properly restrained could have survived had they been buckled - a sobering reminder to all parents to encourage wearing a seat belt no matter what.

A GoFundMe has been started to help Mary Rose with hospital and funeral expenses. Its original goal of $10,000 was far surpassed and, at press time, has raised over $199,000 of its new $250,000 goal.
