How One Beauty Brand Is Using Lipstick to Fight Trump's Border Policy
Update: According to Lipslut, this campaign has earned over $100,000 to fight the Zero Tolerance policy. There is still time to contribute; until July 19, all proceeds for the brand's F*ck Trump Lipstick go towards organizations such as Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), Kids in Need of Defense, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, and Al Otro Lado. All of these charities advocate for the youngest and most vulnerable immigrants stranded at the border.
Original post: Since the beginning of May, more than 2,300 children have been separated from their parents at the US-Mexico border, per President Donald's Trump's "Zero Tolerance" immigration policy. Heartbreaking stories of babies torn away from their mothers while they breastfed and border agents detaining children in cages have drawn massive outrage from many Americans.
On June 20, President Trump said that he would sign an executive order ending the separation, but it's easy to feel helpless in the face of this policy - especially until the papers have been signed. Luckily, there are many ways you can help the affected children. If you love lipstick, you should know that there is one company that's currently donating all of its proceeds to various organizations with efforts to keep families together.
Last year, a student named Katie Sones founded Lipslut, a beauty brand dedicated to fighting the patriarchy one lipstick at a time. The brand's sole shade upon launch came immediately after Trump took office, which was a chestnut pink named F*ck Trump ($20), and the company later added a F*ck Hollywood power red in the wake of #MeToo. From now until July 19, all of the proceeds from F*ck Trump will go toward organizations such as Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), Kids in Need of Defense, Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, and Al Otro Lado. All of these charities advocate for the youngest and most vulnerable immigrants stranded at the border.
As Sones told POPSUGAR, the brand was born on January 20, 2017, the first day of the current administration. "I was literally watching Trump's inauguration and decided I had to take action," Sones said. "I created Lipslut after recognizing my passion for cosmetics could be used as a vehicle to inspire social activism. It's meant to be a middle finger to the current socio-political landscape." Along with budding brands like Lipstick Lobby, which donates its profits to of-the-moment causes such as gun violence prevention, and Fluide, a nonbinary label that donates to LGBTQ+ organizations, F*ck Trump is yet another example that one of 2018's best beauty trends isn't a color or style, but rather a means of social and political movements - in one fell swoop, you can change the world and look great doing it.

This Tiny Harry Potter Tattoo Nods to the Marauders in the Most Subtle Way, and We're Obsessed
The Marauder's Map may show Harry Potter the whereabouts of everyone in Hogwarts Castle through moving name labels and footprints, but the footprints of the four Animagus Marauders - Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs - just came to our attention in tiny-tattoo form, and we're obsessed! In a post to the subReddit r/harrypotter, Reddit user djenkssss shared an image of their new HP tattoo, which features single werewolf, rat, dog, and stag footprints to represent the animal forms of Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, and James Potter, respectively.
Although the jury's out in the comments (and in our hearts) as to whether Wormtail's print should be present in the design - he's a murderous back-stabber, in case anyone forgot - the subtle nod to the OG troublemakers of the franchise wouldn't translate as easily without that four-toed rat print. He was a Marauder before all else, after all.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a tattoo to get.
I FINALLY Found the Perfect Tinted Sunscreen, and I'm Stockpiling
I like to simplify my life. If there's a way I can kill two birds with one makeup brush, I'm all about it. As long as I'm not sacrificing quality, I live for dual-ended wands and wonders that deliver, which is why I've spent a good amount of time hunting for that perfect tinted sunscreen - one that can do it all and do it quickly. I refuse to spend all of my free moments on skin care; Netflix isn't going to watch itself.
In my quest to find time-saving beauty products, I've come across many two-in-one sunscreens that I thought I liked, only to find that, just a few hours after wearing them, the product would cake up along the sides of my face, gathering at my sideburns like tumbleweeds.
But then I discovered Clarins UV Plus Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Multi-Protection Tint SPF 50 ($45). It had everything going for it: it was tinted, oil-free, had UV 50 coverage, and was paraben-free. "Oh, this is going on my face right now," I told myself.
As soon as I brought it home, I turned the bottle over and put a few drops on my foundation brush. Once I blended it on my face, I knew I'd struck gold. It went on easily. No streaks and no quick-to-dry sludge near the hairline. And the best part: the finish made it look like I was wearing highlighter. The sunscreen had a luminous texture that made my cheekbones glow.
I wish it came in more shades, though I have found that Medium works well for my skin tone. I use it every day because it covers any redness I have (yup, I can totally skip concealer!), and I'm never looking back. Timesaver? Check. Skin-saver? Oh yes.
Aja Naomi King Shares What It's REALLY Like Working With Viola Davis
From the outside looking in, you might assume that Aja Naomi King knows all too well about living the glamorous life in Hollywood. The actress stars alongside Viola Davis in Shonda Rhimes's hit series How to Get Away With Murder and recently landed a huge new beauty deal as the face of L'Oréal Paris True Match Foundation - a big f*cking deal, if you ask us.
But like many women of color, her road to success didn't come without some lessons. We had a chance to sit down with King, and she told us everything from what it's really like working with Viola Davis to her biggest fear in coming to work as a black woman and what she'd like to see change in terms of inclusivity in the beauty industry. Luckily, we also got the scoop on her skin and makeup routines - because, hello, have you seen that beautiful melanin complexion?
5 Sex Positions For When You're Tired - but Still Want to Get It On
Sex is fun. Then again, so is going the f*ck to sleep. Luckily, you don't have to sacrifice an orgasm when you're in the mood but too tired to deal. There are plenty of positions that will help you reach your peak while staying cozy. Read on to learn 'em all - then do your thing, you snoozy seductress.
Open-Legged Spoon
Consider your classic, morning sex spoon sesh: it's a lazy go-to for a reason, but it's not supereasy for ladies to climax from this position. Instead, try a modified approach, where you lie on your back while your partner lies on their side. Spread your legs into a crab position, and drape them over your partner. Be sure to have them reach over and stimulate your clitoris as they thrust, or take matters into your own hands and fire up a vibrator. An added plus? You'll look like a dang snack from this angle. Plus, your honey will basically be hugging you the entire time you do the deed. Cuties!
Flat Doggy
This position hits your G-spot just right, and all you have to do is lie on your stomach and close your legs. Yup, that's it. Have your partner kneel over your legs and enter you from behind. Since your limbs are in such a rigid position, everything will feel tighter (re: hotter). If you're a wild woman who likes things to feel primal, you'll especially love this position as you get to feel someone else's whole body on top of you.
Lifted Missionary
OK, we get it: missionary doesn't have the sexiest rep. Turn the stodgy stereotype on its head with this alternative method. First, lie on your back, but make sure to prop up your pelvis up with two pillows. Then, have your partner enter you. Go to town, missionary business as usual; except with this way, your pubic bone will align with your partner's pelvis. The result: more G-spot action, clitoral stimulation, bada bing, bada boom - orgasm.
The Lotus
Oh, we're blushing just thinking about this one. While your partner is sitting up, climb on top of them and sit back, pretzel-style. Rock back against them while gyrating. You'll get to look into their eyes the entire time, so this is an extremely intimate position. This is definitely the slow jam of our sex position soundtrack, so it might take some time reach completion. We promise it's worth it.
Mutual Masturbation
There is something very sexy about watching your partner get off. But since you're letting someone in on such a private act, it's understandable that you might feel shy at first. To quell your nerves, consider communicating with your partner beforehand, letting them know what turns you on and listening to their preferences, too. If you're both into talking and discussing fantasies while you do your thing, go forth and dirty talk. Perhaps you require silent concentration - that's cool, too. No matter what you try, be sure to maintain eye contact to keep things hot.
I Planned My Wedding in Just 2 Months, and It Was the Best Decision
My 24th birthday will be one that I remember forever. It was the day my then-boyfriend popped the question. His proposal was perfect: he had taken me out to dinner at an elegant restaurant before bringing me back to the waterfront hotel and bar where we had met three years earlier. He ushered me into their largest suite where the candles had already been lit and a birthday cake sat waiting on the table surrounded by a pile of presents. Well, you guessed it. Inside one of those presents was my ring. I was in awe as he proceeded to get down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Like any bride-to-be, I wanted to start planning immediately. We decided on a Fall wedding - early November when New England is at its most glorious - which gave us a solid 15 months to plan and save.
Exactly one month later, my dad was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and his prognosis was grim. Once the dust settled, we decided on a new date. The only thing was that it gave us just two months to pull everything together.
With only two months to plan, we didn't have the luxury of stressing over details or feeling cheated out of the things we had to sacrifice in order to make our wedding happen. Having to make sacrifices on your wedding day for the sake of time and budget sounds awful at first. After all, you only get to do this once, right? (At least that's what most starry-eyed brides hope for, anyway.) But in the end, we were forced to sit down and think about what really mattered. For us, it was having the people we loved there to share in our day. Then everything else just fell into place.
We were forced to sit down and think about what really mattered. For us, it was having the people we loved there to share in our day.
Both our church and venue, which normally hosts up to three weddings at a time, were completely open on the day we chose. Since it was only two months away, and the odds of anyone else coming along to book the venue were slim, they gave us their grand ballroom, something typically reserved for events with a minimum of 300 people (a far cry from our 100). And with Christmas less than three weeks away, the entire venue was already beautifully decorated. Once ordered, my gown came in earlier than expected and needed minimal alterations, and the photographer, DJ, and limo service were happy to have some business in their quiet season. In fact, everything went so smoothly that I still wonder why people actually feel the need to spend a year (or more) of their lives planning a party.
So what, exactly, did we sacrifice? Not much. Since it was so close to Christmas, we chose not to burden our friends with the responsibilities and costs associated with being in a bridal party. Instead, we had a maid of honor and a best man. And rather than invite every single person we've ever met, we kept it intimate with just our closest friends and family members. I didn't get the $1,500 bouquet I had originally envisioned, but that's OK because the simple roses that I carried dried nicely and now serve as a decoration on our mantle. Other than that, I can't think of a single thing that we missed having.
Ten years and three children later, there's a lot about my wedding day that I don't even remember. But I'll tell you what I do remember. I remember the look on my dad's face when he walked me down the aisle, and how we were both crying and laughing as we danced to the song he had chosen. I remember my new husband breaking it down on the dance floor to Michael Jackson (I had no idea he actually knew how to dance) and not being able to contain my laughter. I remember one hell of an after party at the hotel bar, complete with a live band, that continued on well into the night in the hallway of rooms that our family and friends occupied. So you see, the invitations, favors, flowers, and centerpieces are easily forgotten. In a couple of years, you won't remember the details of the party you worked so hard to plan. But you will remember the moments - especially if they're the last - you had with the people you love.
This Wedding's Cityscape Backdrop Was Almost as Gorgeous as the Bride's Twinkly Dress
When POPSUGAR editor Brinton Parker began planning her big day, we all knew it would be a celebration to remember. Her love of movie fandoms, sweet treats, and trendsetting beauty came together flawlessly when she tied the knot with her longtime partner, Christopher Botkin. The breathtaking ceremony took place on Treasure Island, San Francisco, with the cityscape as the background. Friends and family gathered to watch the pair say their vows - which included sweet Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings references, of course.
"I cried so. freakin'. much. on the wedding day, but I'd say that the most emotional moment for me was when Christopher began reading the vows that he wrote," Brinton said. "He's typically not an outspoken romantic, but every word of his vows was so heartfelt and personal that it made me choke up."
The reception followed at The Winery SF, where guests were treated to a visit from the Johnny Doughnuts truck and were surrounded by lush floral decor.
"My florist, Flower Girl Em, absolutely blew us out of the water," Brinton said. "We opted for scattered bud vases instead of centerpieces as a cost-saving move, but Emily went above and beyond everything I could have ever expected. She incorporated fruits like fresh oranges into the head table arrangement, every single piece - from boutonnieres to bouquets - was flawless. Her creativity astounds me and she's one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram!"
"Then, I'd say that our doughnut truck was a verrry close second favorite detail; who doesn't love carbs on wheels arriving halfway through a party? I've never gotten so many compliments about a dessert . . . several of the vegan guests said that their vegan options were the best doughnuts they've ever eaten."
The happy evening came to a close when guests hit the dance floor and took some snaps in the gold sparkly photo booth. You could feel the love everyone had for the newlyweds as they enjoyed one of those most important days of their lives.
"From the get-go, Christopher always told me that he didn't care how our wedding looked, as long as we got to celebrate with our loved ones and we walked away as husband and wife. If I had to guess his favorite moment, I would say it was tearing up the dance floor and partying with all of our friends and family - he danced so hard, he split his pants!"
And that's what we call a successful wedding.
I Wish Someone Had Told Me These 6 Tips Before I Did My First Boudoir Photo Shoot
I used to think boudoir photo shoots were cheesy and a bit tacky. Even though I had seen some gorgeous boudoir pictures in the past, some of which were of friends of mine, I still felt strange about getting photos done myself. After my best friend gave me a nudge (a very stern one), I decided to dive in headfirst and give the boudoir thing a try. After all, I'm not going to be young forever, and I figured my old grandma self in the future would appreciate my curves.
I signed up to work with Tonhya Wysong, a professional photographer who created a women's empowerment project called La Femme Forte. I'm thrilled I did, because it was one of the best decisions of my life. I loved every second of the shoot and couldn't believe how stunning the pictures looked when they were released! I would go back and do it all again. However, there are a few things I would've told myself just to be better prepared for the whole thing. If you're thinking about getting a boudoir shoot done – which you totally should - follow these six tips.

The Sexiest Books of All Time Will Have You Blushing With Every Turn of the Page
Sexiness in books is preconceived to be limited to romance novels, but it's more than that. It's a universal concept that takes on many connotations about having power and agency and challenging old norms about sex. Whether it's Lolita and Anna Karenina for class or picking up Zane's book for pleasure (pun intended), these stories center on a woman's narrative or celebrate sexuality in a liberating way that's not exclusive to romance. Books that were considered too scandalous and taboo for society are now being praised for their revolutionary schools of thought, particularly now because we are at a juncture in society where we're having open discourses about sex and pushing marginalized voices to the forefront. The impressive books on this list have been doing that way before it registered in our collective consciousness.
5 Common Worries You May Have About Moving in With Your SO, and How to Tackle Them
When my boyfriend and I decided to move in together, it definitely felt sudden. We each lived with our parents in towns not far away, and we felt pretty comfortable in our routine, which we had carried on with for almost four years. (Mostly, this meant just being with each other all the time on the weekend.) But alas, he turned 27 and I 26, and that "shouldn't we be adulting?" feeling kicked in.
We had promised each other we'd spend time researching locations and scouting out buildings, but we fell in love with a one-bedroom unit that plenty more couples were interested in. When we were given the opportunity to sign the lease, we went for it - we didn't want to lose this place.
Almost instantly, my anxiety (which I've suffered from my entire life) kicked in. I had a couple of panic attacks during my long-ass commute to work - which was about to take half the time when I moved, so shouldn't I be happy?! - where I had total out-of-body experiences. I thought I was losing feeling on the right side of my body, broke out into a sweat, and then I'd just have phases where I felt like I was looking down on myself sending an email or a text. Minutes later, I'd have to go back and check if it actually really happened. That's anxiety, folks. It can actually make you feel physical symptoms that you might mistake for, I don't know, say, the flu.
Leading up to the big day, I knew I had to start packing, but I put it off. I didn't get any sleep the night after we filled up the U-Haul, even though all the boxes and bags fit perfectly, like pieces of a puzzle. Seriously, it was as if our furniture was telling us to GTFO of our parents' houses.
Anyway, what was I so damn nervous about? My boyfriend is my best friend on the planet. He knows everything about me; there's literally nothing I haven't done in front of him, no worry I haven't vocalized - in other words, he's totally aware that I'm a lot to handle.
Even still, I know I am not the only one who's been nervous about a major life change. Whether you're moving into your own studio apartment, you're crossing state borders, or you're doing just what I did and shacking up with your SO, I'm going to explain to you what my worries were and how each one of them faded away in - I kid you not - five days. Hopefully it gives you a little peace of mind.
The Tasteful Girl's Guide to Taking Nudes
So: you've decided to answer a suitor's request to "send nudes" with your real, live, naked body (not photos that feature lust-worthy piles of zucchini noodles, which is my favorite shutdown). If you're new to the sexting game, you may feel nervous. As a very thirsty lady, I've sent my fair share of tastefully naked pictures. I'm here to demystify the process. Read on to learn the seven steps that work every time I feel like baring it all.
For the Love of God, Clean Your Mirror
This one goes out to the man who thought the image of his schlong against a dirty bathroom mirror would leave me quivering with pleasure. While I get that the point of a nude is not to show off your apartment, it is important to take stock of the tableau that surrounds your naked greatness. So: bust out the Windex, get those smudges and who-knows-what-stains off your mirror, make your bed, and keep any framed photos from Grandma's 100th birthday far, far away from the shot.
Keep any framed photos from Grandma's 100th birthday far, far away from the shot.
Clean Your Camera Lens, Too
You're not done wiping yet! This nugget of wisdom comes courtesy of Ashley Graham, whom I once had five minutes to interview. About three of those minutes were spent with Graham rubbing down my iPhone camera lens after I asked her to teach me how to take a sexy selfie. "Girl, clean your phone screen," she told me (wise words I will remember long after forgetting who the f*ck spoke at my high school graduation). So, from the pro herself: girl, clean your phone screen.
Add a Prop
Unless I'm biting my fingernails, I don't know what to do with my hands. If you're also a nervous nelly, consider some prop work. No, I'm not talking about a foam finger. Opt to re-create a dainty, candid action you very well might do if you were lounging at home not posing for a nude. Twirl a strand of your hair, gently use your pointer finger to trace your collarbone, or lightly finger the strap of your bra. This will give you an action to focus on while you snap, which will make you feel less awkward about the whole boudoir photo shoot thing.
Leave 'Em Wanting More
While there's nothing wrong with flaunting your fine self, make sure your boo thang respects that the nude buck stops with them. If you want a little more anonymity, you can always resort to not including your face in your picture. When I'm feeling shy but still care about #content (because, priorities), I prefer to cut most of my head out of an image, only leaving my lips and chin in the frame. I've found it's a great balance between looking sexy and staying cautious.
Barbie Foot It Up
Models and Instagram ladies galore have flocked aboard the Barbie footing train, and it's how they get their legs to look so damn long (other than by being born with mile-long legs, of course). All you have to do is stand on the ball of your foot, as if you were balancing on your tip-toes, but a little more relaxed. Bonus points go to the dedicated souls who opt to paint their toenails a neutral hue - this is an extra slimming step that helps you look even taller.
Power Pose That B*tch
Take it from a former horse girl: stand up straight, keep your shoulders back, and pop your chest out. Not only does this easy trick give the lucky recipient of your nude a great view of your boobs, but it's a smart psychological play. When you do your best Wonder Woman (shoulders open, legs apart, optional hand on hip), you may decrease production of the stress hormone cortisol. It's the posture equivalent of "faking it until you make it" - but there's nothing faux about the confidence boost you'll feel.
Act Natural
Don't overthink things. The sexiest look is your most authentic self, so you shouldn't try too hard. If you're normally an open-mouthed smiler, do that. If you usually pout for pictures, then duck face to your heart's content. To play up your features, try lighting your image with actual sunshine coming in from a (secluded) window. Make sure the source of it is illuminating your picture from the front so you don't end up with a grainy, back-lit effect.
Say cheese, queen.

Curious About Instagram's New Questions Sticker? We've Got Answers
Your Instagram Stories are about to get a whole lot more interactive! Between the emoji slider and sharing your favorite music with your followers, it's hard to imagine a time when our Stories were just simple photos or videos. Now, Instagram has unveiled a new Questions sticker for our followers to ask us questions and engage with us on an entirely new level. Whether you're asking your favorite influencer which products she used to get that gorgeous highlight or you absolutely must find out your friend's mac and cheese recipe, the interactive possibilities are endless.
Here's how it works: after taking a photo or video for your Instagram Stories, tap the smiley face icon on the top right corner where you find your stickers. Click the new "Questions" sticker in the third row, type a prompt where it says "Ask me a question," and place it anywhere on your story. When viewers watch your Story, they can reply to the sticker with any of their burning questions - and the best part is, they can ask as many questions they want. You can find the questions and replies to your prompt where you typically see who viewed your story. To answer a question, simply tap it in the "Responses" list and reply in a new story. (The original question will appear "for context;" however, the user who asked the question will be private.)
Read on to see exactly how to use the new Questions feature, and get to 'gramming.
The Simple Thing I Started Doing That Made My Marriage Infinitely Better
I'll admit I'm a pretty difficult person to be in a relationship (let alone live) with. I can be messy, disorganized, and cluttered. When my husband and I first started dating, I would frequently forget plans, misremember doctor appointments, and not keep track of meetings. But a few years ago, I decided it was finally time to get my personal and professional life in order and diligently keep track of my schedule and appointments.
Although I bought a few cute paper planners, none of them really stuck; it's hard to keep up with a physical planner, especially as plans and appointments shift around. Sure, I could use the calendar app on my iPhone, but that didn't always transfer the appointments I had on my Gmail calendar.
Enter the Google Calendar app. I started using shared Google Calendar events when we were engaged to keep track of all of our appointments: food tastings, vendor meetings, engagement photo sessions, and when invoices were due. It worked so well for us, I continue to use it throughout our marriage.
Not only does this help keep my life in order, but it totally transformed my marriage. With the Google Calendar app, I can make appointments and share them with my husband. Now, there's no more confusion over what time our dinner reservations are, when our flight leaves, and which days our bills come out of our joint account. The best part is it syncs with my personal Gmail, so any event I put on my Gmail calendar on my desktop transfers to my phone app. It also picks up other relevant emails and plugs them into the calendar, such as flight reservations and plans made via email.
On our Google Calendar, I keep track of everything that affects our lives, including bills, when we are having visitors, flights, doctor appointments, after-work events, weddings, dinner plans, and happy hours. Instead of keeping these appointments to myself, I always invite my husband so he can also know our plans and be up-to-date on evenings when I'll be home late from work.
In the nearly two years we've been using shared Google Calendar events, we no longer get into arguments over what our weekend plans are or what time we need to be somewhere. Sure, I still leave my suitcase in the living room for a few days after a vacation and forget to dust, but at least we have our schedule in order.

Visiting a Disney Park on a Hot Day? This Reusable Cooling Towel Will Be a Lifesaver
Here's a Disney tip for you: don't make the mistake of forgetting to check the weather before planning your visit to Disneyland (like I did). The fact that it was already 80 degrees out at 7 a.m. should've been the first sign to stay home, but we headed over to good ol' Anaheim despite the early heat. As soon as we entered the park, my sweaty boyfriend and I ran into the first gift shop on Main Street in search of any sort of cloth that would soak up the sweat on our faces. Once a cast member realized why we were so excited about a dish towel, she recommended a life-saving product that neither of us even knew existed: a cooling towel by Disney Parks ($17).
She explained that all you need to do is add water, wring it, and then snap it to activate a cooling effect that lasts for hours. It was reusable, machine washable, and exactly what we needed - except it was already sold out everywhere. We decided to just tough it out with our mini misting fan, staring at park-goers who were able to snag their own cooling towel with jealousy. The temperature eventually climbed to just below 100, but the one perk was that both Disneyland and California Adventure were empty.
On our way out of the parks, we stopped by Downtown Disney where we found the very last cooling towels outside of World of Disney. It was too late for us by that point, but we wished someone had told us about this product beforehand (you're welcome). Luckily, Walmart sells the exact same Disney Parks Mickey Mouse Cooling Towel for a steeper price point at $25. If I were you, I'd buy this far ahead of your own park visit.
I Bought My Cat This $65 Pet House on Amazon, and It's Actually Stylish
When it comes to pets, some owners love shelling out cash left and right on fluffy beds and adorable trinkets. I'm not one of those people. My cat's favorite toy is a crumpled up paper towel. I had one exception though, I always wanted to buy him one of those cat house towers. For the longest time I wasn't able to commit to actually buying one because I was afraid of having a carpeted eye sore in my living room. A few months ago, I took the plunge and got this Vesper Small V-Box ($65) from Amazon, and I haven't regret it for a second.
I was immediately drawn to its modern design. It didn't look like your run of the mill, cheesy cat bed. The walnut-colored wood adds a chic touch, and the fluffy white bedding looks and feels like something I want to nap on. The stylish house doesn't lack in the cat department either. It features a scratching post (which thankfully my cat now uses more than my sofa), a fun hanging toy, and a comfy bed box at the bottom.
It has exceeded my expectations in both looks and functionality, and was worth every penny. If you have more than one cat, it also comes in larger options. Keep scrolling to shop.
I Decorated a 760 Square-Foot Apartment - Here's What Was Worth Buying
When I signed the lease for my first apartment, I immediately dreaded finding furniture small enough to fit inside. At just 760 square feet, this little one-bedroom box did not have "so much room for activities." No, when my boyfriend and I took measurements of the space, we were not feeling like Brennan and Dale in Step Brothers, that's for sure. I actually felt myself gulp when I looked at my closet.
Even still, we loved the sleek, modern appliances and the marble counter top. We were beyond stoked to choose our bedding, the curtains - the things we'd have to have! We went on a hunt to find some really gorgeous pieces that came at the right size, and especially, price. (Though I will say, I do think it's OK to splurge on at least one or two items you really love.)
Decor is also super important to me, and I believe that a home should reflect personality, so I kept our quirks and our hobbies in mind while shopping. I even discovered a handful of fashion brands with home lines that I never knew about. Read on to see what was worth buying, and how we organized and displayed everything once we were settled. Keep that credit card handy, too, because I'm about to show you some really cute stuff.

35 Things You'll Regret Doing in Life
"Life is too short" is so cliché, but also so true. Not to sound morbid, but our days are limited and we never know when our time will be up. We tend to think we're invincible, especially when we're young, and don't often live to the fullest because we don't think of the bigger picture. We let ourselves get caught up in such trivial things that seem silly when we look back, or we don't take care of ourselves until our bodies give us a clear and scary sign to. Mindfulness is one way to practice living in the present, and all it really takes is to step back every once in a while to reflect on your choices. You only live once, after all, so why not make this a life without any regrets? See 35 things you'll regret doing down the line and consider changing a few things for yourself.
3-Ingredient Natural Weed Killer That Really Works
Even if you're not a savvy environmentalist, you probably know that contaminating your yard with nasty chemicals isn't a good idea, especially if you have kids, pets, or an edible garden nearby. In fact, you may already have all of them in your home. It only takes a few minutes to make the mixture. Then you can get out in your yard and start squirting away.
Emily Ratajkowski's Bikini Could Double as Lingerie and Nobody Would Think Twice
What does Emily Ratajkowski's swimsuit drawer look like? That's the question I began pondering after another stunning bikinigram of the 27-year-old model surfaced on my Instagram feed. Emily's known not only for her successful modeling and acting career, but also for her own swimwear line, Inamorata, which she's been wearing almost exclusively this Summer.
The brand shared a photo of Emily wearing a barely-there mustard bikini in a well-loved style we definitely recognize. While the snap may be a throwback, she frequently wears similar versions of the suit in the same shade. Emily appears to be partial to Inamorata's sultry Neptune style, which includes a tiny top with ties in the front and extremely cheeky bottoms. She's cracked the code on sexy swimsuits, and I'm just patiently awaiting her secret. Ahead, see Emily's exact swimsuit and shop similar styles for yourself.
Meghan Markle Loved Her Wedding Dress So Much, She Basically Got It in Black, Too
Fresh from their appearance at Prince Louis's christening, the "fab four" stepped out once again on Tuesday morning, attending events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force. While Prince William and Prince Harry dressed in uniform, Kate and Meghan once again dressed in chic formal daywear, and as ever, all eyes were on the new Duchess of Sussex.
Arriving at Westminster Abbey in London for a commemorative service, Meghan looked stunning in a full-skirted black dress with a nipped-in waist and a bateau neckline, something that is fast becoming her signature. Though the dress is actually Dior, the silhouette is almost identical to her famous Givenchy wedding gown. The only difference is the shorter hemline and the addition of a slim belt to cinch the dress in further at the waist.
Meghan teamed the dress with beige pumps, a black box clutch, a swirling net headpiece, and white gold diamond earrings by Cartier. Unlike other female royals, she didn't wear a brooch that paid tribute to the Royal Air Force, and there's a very simple reason why. Brooches like the one the Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear have been gifted by the armed forces, alongside honorary titles. Being new to the royal family, Meghan has yet to be awarded such an honor.
This is unlikely to be the last outfit we see the duchess sporting today; after these events, she and Prince Harry will jet off to Ireland, where they'll begin a short tour, meeting locals and taking in some of Dublin's most famous sights. While we wait to see what else the day will bring, take a closer look at Meghan's stunning dress from all angles.
I Finally Found the Perfect Pair of Jeans That's Making Me Give Up Skinnies For Good
For as long as I can remember, I always resorted to skinny jeans. Getting dressed every day used to consist of jumping into the skintight pairs, pushing in one butt cheek at a time. It really started to get old. After seeing cool, straight leg jeans everywhere this season, I was determined to find my perfect match. I discovered these Levi's Wedgie High Waist Straight Jeans ($98) earlier this year and now own them in three different washes.
The search for these Levi's was easier said than done though. I spent so much time shopping for that cool vintage pair, but every time I tried ones on they were so small and never fit my body right. Feeling discouraged, I gave up my search and thought maybe they just aren't for me. Months later I found myself at a Levi's event and a stylist encouraged me to try some pairs on. I insisted that they never worked for me. I was then informed that for this style, I should size up two sizes. I was resistant because I had never been that size in my life. I trusted him and tried them on and to my surprise, they fit perfect, like a glove. I purchased them immediately.
Over the next few weeks, I wore them more and more. I was realizing that I was fading out all my skinny jeans. I then went on to buy a black and also light wash. I love wearing my dark ones with heels and a leather jacket when I go out at night. My lighter washes are ideal for work or weekends when I'm just relaxing with friends. The high-waist silhouette makes it easy to pair with a sexy crop top or just a cozy tee.
Not only are they more comfortable then any other jeans I've ever owned, but I love the way they look and make me feel. For less than $100, I can't stop buying them. Try it out for yourself.
Anna Wintour's Daughter Has the Coolest Idea For Her Wedding Rings - Did She Learn That in Vogue?
Anna Wintour's daughter, Bee Shaffer, tied the knot in Mastic, Long Island, on Saturday, July 7. She then jetted off to Italy with her new husband, Francesco Carrozzini. On her honeymoon, Bee slipped into this floral, off-the-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana maxi ($2,195), which is nothing short of romantic.
The newlyweds ate dinner in Portofino, where we also got a look at Bee's solution for her engagement ring and wedding band. She's sporting her thin gold ring on her left hand, which is totally simple in comparison to her vintage-inspired diamond rock that's now on her right hand.
We can see why she flip-flopped the eccentric pieces rather than coupling them up, and frankly, we're into the idea. Why not? Ahead, read on to admire Bee's glow, zoom in on her accessories, and see how she styled her D&G maxi with simple metallic sandals. Then, scoop up Bee's honeymoon dress for yourself, or perhaps a similar option that fits the bill for such an occasion.

Meghan Markle may still be learning the ropes when it comes to royal protocol, but when it comes to her fashion game, she never disappoints. Whether she's attending a royal event with Prince Harry or simply kicking back, anytime we see her out, we immediately want to know what she's wearing and where we can buy it. Yep, "the Meghan Markle effect" is real, folks! So much so that companies are even crediting the duchess for increasing sales and selling out products. Meghan was also named one of Lyst's most influential style stars of 2017. Luckily for us, we can still shop some of Meghan's favorite items. Keep reading to see them all ahead.

Look a Little Closer, and You'll Spot the Perfect Details on Meghan Markle's Black Dress
Meghan Markle loves a little black dress, but the ones she chooses are anything but boring. Case in point: the black dress by Emilia Wickstead that the Duchess of Sussex wore to a Summer party at the British Ambassador's residence at Glencairn House in Dublin on Tuesday. Smiling alongside husband Prince Harry (as usual), Meghan looked stunning (as usual) in the A-line, sleeveless dress with a square neckline.
The royal couple are in Ireland for a two-day visit, and Meghan already showed her pride for the country in a sophisticated green outfit. When you look a little closer at her garden-party dress, you'll spot details that make this dress even more desirable: pockets and a thick belt around the waist that has gold loops on just one side - aka just enough bling. It reminds us a little bit of the belted Black Halo dress Meghan wore back in April. Take a look at the dress from all angles ahead, and shop a few similar options.

33 Ways to Wear High-Waisted Pants Like a Boss
An outfit-maker in league of their own, high-waisted pants might just be the essential you didn't know your closet was missing. Here's why: with a silhouette that's statement-making, polished, and figure-flattering all at once, this staple can be reinvented again and again based on how you wear them. And if you fear they're a trend that'll be gone faster than you can say "Balenciaga," you're underestimating just how versatile they really are.
To give you the right idea, you can see them here as styled by Olivia Palermo, Ashley Graham, Gigi Hadid, and a venerable lineup of street style stars. Their body types and personal styles may vary, sometimes drastically, but they've found common ground with the same waist-defining trousers. Glimpse 33 ways to style them, then make the look your own, any way you want to.
These Are the Only No-Show Socks That Don't Slip Off My Feet After Walking For 2.5 Seconds
Even though my closet is stacked with boots, sandals, and more, sneakers will always reign supreme in my book. I usually opt for low white sneakers, which look best with no socks, but honestly, my feet are just too sweaty for that. I have to wear socks. I spent years wearing no-show pairs that slipped off my heel within just seconds of walking, then ended up bunched up near my toes in just another few minutes. That all changed when a coworker recommended these Vans Super No Show Socks ($18) to me.
Her main selling point was that the back of the sock has a cluster of rubber gel cushions that help stick to your feet. I immediately said, "Umm, no thanks!", thinking it sounded like my nightmare of sock discomfort. She insisted that I should trust her and give it a try. Since she is one of my favorite fashion girls to swap tips with, I did, and thank goodness, because they are totally life changing.
I now own upwards of 20 pairs and they're the only ones I wear. The scary gel cushions were anything but, just a secure comfort pad on the back. What makes them so sturdy is the lining around the edges. They are tight enough to latch onto your foot without feeling like they're cutting off your circulation. They're so comfy, I even wear them with gym shoes to workout classes. They come in an array of colors and sizes for men, women, and even children. Now, do yourself a favor and get your own pair (or 20!).

Demi Lovato Found the Most Flattering One-Piece on Earth, and DAMN, She's Lookin' Like a 10
If you take a peek inside Demi Lovato's bathing suit drawer, you'll likely get dizzy, because it's filled with a boatload of stripes. The singer has a thing for striped swimwear, whether it's rainbow-colored or covered in a retro cherry print, and she just put her obsession with the classic pattern on display yet again with a new Instagram post that's giving us major swimsuit envy.
Demi shared an album-cover-worthy photo of herself posing atop a boat while wearing rocking the hell out of a striped one-piece. Her strapless swimsuit featured a prominent cutout in the front, right below a flirty knotted detail, and she paired it with aviator-style sunglasses. The 25-year-old captioned the sexy snap, "I rewear the same 5 bathing suits over and over again if you haven't noticed."
That's right - Demi has, in fact, worn this one-piece before, as she posed for a waterfall photo in Bali wearing it back in May. After digging through our jam-packed file on Demi's swimsuit collection, we realized that she also may or may not have worn the same strapless striped number back in January - but backward. If our sleuthing skills are on point, then by golly, someone needs to get this woman an award for her expert swimsuit styling skills. Ahead, shop what we believe to be Demi's exact one-piece bathing suit (which is apparently reversible), along with other similar styles.
Meghan Markle's Sophisticated Green Outfit Is Perfect For the Woman on the Go
Meghan Markle touched down in Ireland with Prince Harry looking positively radiant. The Duchess of Sussex, who just wore a black fit and flare dress by Dior a few hours prior, paid tribute to the country by wearing a green ensemble by Givenchy. Meghan proved she doesn't need any luck when it comes to choosing a stunning outfit.
Meghan wore a three-quarter sleeve top with a matching midi skirt that featured pockets. She styled her separates with a a cognac-colored Strathberry Midi Tote ($675) and beige suede heels. To tie her sophisticated look together, she wore her hair in a low bun. Keep reading to have a look at her entire ensemble, and buy similar outfits ahead.

Whether you're looking for something with a little more coverage in the bust, midriff, back, bottoms, or all of the above, there are plenty of sultry options that prove more really can be more this season.
Every Girl Should Give Gigi Hadid's Favorite Bikini a Try
One of Gigi Hadid's earliest Instagrams was a mirror shot of herself modeling a high-waisted swimsuit. Every Summer, Gigi seems to return to this one silhouette: a retro-inspired two-piece with a balconette bra top and some sort of playful print.
Though she keeps coveted labels like Solid & Striped and Zimmermann in rotation, the allure of Gigi's suits is that they're so flattering. A high cut draws attention to the smallest part of your waist, and Gigi's well-aware.
