It's Impossible For Kylie Jenner to Get Cold Feet About Anything - Not in These Hot, Sexy Shoes

Kylie Jenner's street style isn't exactly predictable. From mesh stilettos that pretty much look like stockings to courtside stunners that wrap around the ankles more times than a basketball could possibly spin around a rim, her statement shoes leave our jaws on the floor. Then we pause and think, "Hey, when you're wearing a comfy outfit, a sky-high, thigh-high might not be all that bad of an idea." On that note, read on to zoom in on Kylie's steamiest, sultriest heels, then shop her looks, and let 'em all stare you up and down . . . but mostly down. (Wink, wink.)

How Netflix Decides When It's Time to Cancel an Original Series

On July 29, Netflix held a day of presentations as part of the Summer TCA press tour. Among the day's planned activities was an executive address by the company's vice president of original programming, Cindy Holland. After making a short speech to the audience of journalists, Holland sat down and fielded questions from the crowd.

As expected, many of the questions pertained to the fates of active, fan-loved shows. One journalist asked for clarification on the fate of GLOW, which Holland confirmed hasn't quite been renewed for season three. Another individual brought up the new series Everything Sucks!, which was canceled after one season despite strong reviews and a small but dedicated audience. "It had a passionate and good audience coming in," Holland admitted, but called out one interesting metric that eventually factored into the show's ultimate fate: people weren't finishing the full slate of episodes. "What we were finding is there were far fewer people than average who were completing the season. So when we looked at what it would take, how many viewers we need to be successful for season two, we found that the audience size wasn't there."

During her Q&A session, Holland noted that this metric is actually pretty important when it comes to their original programming. She was also quick to note that they put a lot of care into the renewal process, saying, "We are deliberate and thoughtful and there are a lot of things that go into the decision."

Over the years, it's become clear that Netflix tends to keep cards close to the chest. Since the public isn't privy to extensive series metrics, especially not on an episode-to-episode basis, it can be hard to stomach a cancellation. That's exactly what happened with Sense8, which was axed in Summer 2017 and then, following a massive fan uproar, renewed for one all-encompassing series finale. At the TCA panel, Holland did offer a little more insight into what Netflix looks at when measuring success.

"Are we getting enough viewership to justify the cost of series?" she asked, then noted that the powers that be will also look at "how beloved the fan community is" and "how social the title is." So, it's not much, but I suppose it does offer some comfort. If you want your favorite show to continue, make sure you're watching to the end, make sure your friends are watching to the end, and make sure you're getting loud about it on social media.

The Bachelorette Finale Is Closer Than You Think

Though it may feel like season 14 of The Bachelorette just started, it's soon going to come to an end. We already know that Becca Kufrin is engaged to one of the contestants, but we'll get to see it play out for ourselves in tropical paradise.

After sending home a slew of, uh, interesting men, Bachelor Nation can't wait to see who Becca chose. Chris Harrison announced on Twitter that the live finale of the show is on Monday, Aug. 6. With season five of Bachelor in Paradise premiering on Tuesday, Aug. 7, and an impending announcement of who will be the next Bachelor, fans have a lot to look forward to.

Drake Just Released the Video For "In My Feelings" - Yes, of Course He Does the Dance

After launching a viral dance challenge with several celebrity participants, Drake's "In My Feelings" finally has its own music video. Much like the rapper's recent videos for "Nice For What" and "I'm Upset," this new release features many famous faces, including Phylicia Rashad and La La Anthony.

In the video directed by Karena Evans, Drake throws rocks high-school-style at the window of the song's famous Kiki, portrayed by Anthony. In a particularly meta moment, Drake later comes face to face with the creator of the #InMyFeelingsChallenge hashtag, Instagram user TheShiggyShow. It's a funny moment that kind of makes us miss Drake's acting days - but then we wouldn't get catchy songs like this.

Grey's Anatomy Is About to Get a Lot Sexier, Thanks to This New Addition

You see that beautiful man up there? His name is Chris Carmack, and he's set to join the 15th season of Grey's Anatomy. Carmack has already played the part of a heartthrob on shows like Nashville and The O.C., so he'll be right at home with our favorite pack of medical messes professionals. According to Deadline, the actor will pop up at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as a not-yet-named surgeon. But he's not just any surgeon: he's being referred to as an "Ortho God." Sounds like we've got the next McDreamy/McSteamy on our hands.

The news comes just after a new "theme" announcement for the show's exciting new chapter: showrunner Krista Vernoff is calling it the "Season of Love." And given the fact that not everyone is blissfully spoken for by the end of season 14, we're sure a new hunky doctor will, well, ignite some passion. Does this mean Meredith has a new suitor on her hands once things get going? All we're saying is, we might just be willing to give up on the handsome Dr. Marsh with this guy in the picture. The new season of Grey's Anatomy premieres on Sept. 27.

Why Every Orange Is the New Black Inmate Is in Prison

It's likely been quite some time since you finished binging season five of Orange Is the New Black, which means you probably need a few reminders about your favorite characters. Netflix's prison comedy is as great as ever in season six, but it contains less flashbacks than any other season before it. Because of that, remembering how each character ended up at Litchfield to begin with might prove tricky. In case you missed anything, here's the definitive guide to exactly what each inmate did wrong - besides getting caught, obviously. Oh, major spoiler alert if you haven't seen up to season four!

Blanca's Devastating Final Scene in OITNB Has Fans Feeling a Whole Lot of Emotions

Warning: this post contains spoilers for Orange Is the New Black season six.

Over the years, Orange Is the New Black's Blanca Flores (played by Laura Gómez) has become a fan favorite. In season one, Blanca is deemed crazy because she's constantly in a particular bathroom stall talking to "Diablo" ("Devil" in Spanish). Turns out it's because she has a hidden cell phone and Diablo is actually her boyfriend's nickname. She's later forced into psych after flipping out when her contraband cell phone is stolen, but by season four, it's clear she's done messing around. Her peaceful protest of the COs and Piscatella's power turns violent and results in Poussey's death. In season five, she plays a pivotal part in the riot at Litchfield, is taken captive by Piscatella, and has to witness the torture of Red. All of this is to say that Blanca has been going through it on the hit Netflix show.

Finally, in season six, we see her put into C block at Litchfield Max. The latest batch of episodes deal with Blanca and Diablo coming up with a plan to get her pregnant after the prison gynecologist tells her that she needs to think about her fertility since she's getting older. Although it doesn't go as the two had hoped, she does find out she's getting an early release. In the season finale, we see Diablo sweetly waiting for Blanca with flowers outside of Litchfield, but in a devastating twist, they don't actually get to reunite - it's revealed that the reason Blanca has been released early from prison is because she's being taken into custody by ICE for illegal immigration.

"I don't think you can talk to anyone who is an immigrant right now, especially anyone who is a Latin American immigrant, who doesn't feel sick in their stomach. I have it all around me. I talk about it all day, every day. . . . So it wasn't too difficult to tap into it. It was actually the opposite," Gómez told The Hollywood Reporter about filming that scene. Considering the current political climate, it's no wonder fans had a lot of feelings about that last gut-wrenching moment. If you're still upset about it - and we don't blame you - keep reading to see what fellow OITNB viewers are saying about the scene.

Orange Is the New Black Reveals One of Its Most Disturbing Crimes Yet With Barb and Carol

Warning: this post contains spoilers for Orange Is the New Black season six.

Before they are in orange, blue, khaki, or even pink uniforms, the inmates of Litchfield are just regular people committing regular crimes. While the writers and producers of Orange Is the New Black show us some pretty dark offenses - like Lorna's attempt to murder Christopher's girlfriend and the young boy who falls to his death while trying to leave Suzanne's apartment - season six introduces two new characters and one of the most gruesome crimes we've seen yet. Meet Barb and Carol Denning: they are the OGs of Litchfield, as we learn they've been in max for quite some time, and they're also the reason for the intensely divided C-Block and D-Block.

While Barb (Mackenzie Phillips) and Carol's (Henny Russell) crews are behind all the pranks and violence in the present-day season six, the flashbacks to their sociopathic teenage days immediately send chills down our spines. Frieda (Dale Soules) uses Suzanne (Uzo Aduba) to protect her in Florida throughout the whole season, but she finally explains to Crazy Eyes why she's been hiding from the Denning sisters in one of the final episodes. Although survivalist Frieda doesn't quite explain what she did decades ago to piss off the sisters, she does tell Suzanne about why they're in prison, referring to them as "the little Debbie murderers."

It's clear Barb and Carol hate each other now that they're in different prison families, but their hatred starts long before lock-up, back when they're just teenagers in the '80s. Their younger sister, Debbie, is a competitive gymnast, and their entire family is planning to relocate to Texas when she is accepted into a prestigious program there. The Denning family's lives revolve around Debbie's gymnastics career, and the older sisters not only resent her because of this, but want to kill her for making them move to Texas.

Older sister Barb is popular at school while Carol is extremely violent, drawing vivid images of them murdering their sister at her gymnastics meet. The contrasting sisters may hate each other, but they have one thing in common: they both hate Debbie more (the same way they mutually hate Frieda in the present day). The night before they are preparing to move, Barb and Carol are home alone with Debbie, and they tell her they'll take her to let her tadpoles free in a nearby lake. While Barb is standing with her sister by the frozen body of water, Carol chases after her with an ax, and Barb tells the adolescent girl to run and go hide in the car and lock the doors. Little does Debbie know that Barb dismantled the locks of all four doors and she's stuck in the car.

Barb and Carol push the car straight into the frozen lake, and we painfully hear Debbie screaming . . . until we don't anymore. The sisters talk out their monologue of what they're going to tell their parents, how Debbie locked herself in the car, and "you know how she always likes to play driver with Daddy." While it's not explicitly said in the show that their murder attempt is the reason they're in prison, we're assuming this brutally malicious act lands them behind bars.

When Carol bonds with Red back in the present timeline, she tells her new friend that she and Barb were initially sentenced to 25 years, but another 30 were when Frieda ratted them out and they were busted for drugs in the '80s. Well, after decades of murder attempts, season six ends with Barb and Carol killing each other with crafted prison weapons. We'll have to wait until season seven to find out if the C-Block and D-Block gangs will live on without them.

Jamie Dornan Opens Up About His Mother's "Horrific" Death, Says He's Still Not Over It

Jamie Dornan lost his mother, Lorna Dornan, to pancreatic cancer at the young age of 16, and he's, understandably, still not over it. In a recent interview with BBC, the 36-year-old actor opened up about the "horrific" experience. "I often say this, but you don't really know what the effects are of losing someone, particularly when you're so young," he said. "They are daily and continue to have an effect. You feel that they are manifesting over time in a way you didn't expect them to. You never get over it, and now that I have kids myself, I see they don't have a grandmother from my side - that's an odd thing."

Jamie and wife Amelia Warner are parents to two daughters, Phoebe and Dulcie. Jamie recently helped launch NI PanC, a support group for cancer survivors and relatives of cancer patients, at Mater Hospital in Belfast in honor of his late mother. "I've always wanted to be associated to a charity that means something to me in a major way," Jamie explained. "It all seemed very fitting, I could do whatever I can to promote awareness of this horrendous disease."

Instead of Friends, Jennifer Aniston Wants to Reboot THIS Show With Her Costars

Friends is near and dear to a lot of people's hearts, so it's understandable why fans are still begging for a reboot after all these years. To be fair, rebooting classic shows is all the rage these days. While the cast has reunited from time to time in real life, there hasn't been any official talk about bringing the show or their characters back to TV. But that doesn't mean the stars are opposed to the idea. While chatting with InStyle for its September issue, Jennifer Aniston admitted that she still fantasizes about reprising her iconic role as Rachel Green.

"Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back," Aniston told the publication. "Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it. I fantasize about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don't know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted."

Though, it does sound like not everyone in the cast would be on board for a reboot. "I know Matt LeBlanc doesn't want to be asked that question anymore," she admitted. "But maybe we could talk him into it." Even if they can't get the whole gang back together again, Aniston would love to do a different kind of reboot with her female costars. "Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture." Um, we would totally watch that.

J.J. Abrams Calls Filming Star Wars: Episode IX Without Carrie Fisher "Bittersweet"

Despite previous reports that Carrie Fisher would not appear in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX, new information has confirmed that we will see the late actress in her iconic role one final time. On July 27, Disney revealed that production had begun on the final film of the new trilogy at London's Pinewood Studios. The release also confirms that Leia Organa will, in fact, be a part of the epic conclusion of the new story.

"The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher," Disney stated, "using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The press release continues with a quote from director J.J. Abrams: "We desperately loved Carrie Fisher. Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast or use a CG character," Abrams said. "With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie's legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII."

In the wake of the announcement, both J.J. Abrams and Mark Hamill also posted about Fisher on their respective Twitter accounts.

Fisher's addition to the confirmed cast certainly comes as welcome news. And, of course, we're glad to hear there's a way incorporate the character while honoring Fisher's legacy in a respectful way. We do not want a CG Fisher. Now we can look forward with even more enthusiasm, as if we weren't excited enough!

Daisy Jones & the Six: Everything We Know About Your Soon-to-Be Favorite Book and TV Show

Reese Witherspoon is continuing her current book-to-TV reign. The Oscar winner is bringing the upcoming Taylor Jenkins Reid novel Daisy Jones & the Six to the small screen in a 13-episode series for Amazon, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Wednesday. Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine media brand recently acquired rights to the book, which follows a fictional rock band through their rise to fame and inevitable breakup in the 1970s. The complex format takes readers on a Behind the Music-style trip down memory lane and is a must read for music fans.

Witherspoon has been scooping up book-to-TV adaptation projects pretty rapidly this year. On top of Daisy Jones & the Six, Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine will bring Little Fires Everywhere to Hulu as well as three series to Apple (including a TV morning show drama starring Jennifer Aniston). Keep reading for everything we know about Reese's latest project!

Paul Walker's Dad Breaks Down While Remembering His Son: "I See Paul's Face All the Time"

It's been almost five years since we said goodbye to Paul Walker, but his death still hurts. Ahead of the Aug. 11 premiere of Paramount Network's I Am Paul Walker documentary, Paul's dad, Paul Walker III, and his two brothers, Cody and Caleb, sat down with the cast of Good Morning America on Thursday and reflected on the late actor's life. "Paul lived a very private life, and he kept the family very protected," Cody said. "We all loved him, and I loved him." Things got even more emotional when Paul's dad broke down in tears while remembering his son. "I see Paul's face all the time. I had this, whatever you want to call it, and this voice said, 'Good to see ya, Dad.'" Grab the tissues and watch the heartbreaking clip above now.

The Good Place Season 2 Is One of Many New Titles Hitting Netflix This August

The last month of Summer is upon us, and for some, that might be reason enough to freak out. But hey, look on the bright side - a new month means a ton of new titles hitting Netflix. The full list of what's going to replace the streaming giant's July selection has officially been unveiled, and it includes The Good Place season two. Great forking news, if we do say so ourselves.

The NBC comedy has received critical acclaim ever since its 2016 premiere, and has since aired two seasons, with season three set to debut in late September. The series stars Kristin Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who dies and wakes up in "the Good Place," despite having spent much of her life acting like a huge, well, assh*le. As it turns out, there was a mix-up upstairs, and Eleanor mistakenly escaped "the Bad Place."

She spends most of season one struggling hilariously to repent for her former life alongside fellow Good Place residents Michael (Ted Danson), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Manny (Jason Mendoza), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), and Janet (D'Arcy Carden).

The first season ends with a jaw-dropping twist that sets the scene perfectly for season two, which you'll be able to stream on Netflix on Aug. 28. Before that happens, though, kill some time by laughing along with The Good Place's deeply funny gag reel.

The Trailer For Gilda Radner's Documentary Will Make You Laugh, Cry, and Then Laugh Again

Gilda Radner was known for making people laugh, and now her extraordinary life will be spotlighted in theaters everywhere starting on Sept. 21. In the first trailer for Love, Gilda, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival this year, we witness the late comedian's rise to fame as one of the first cast members on Saturday Night Live as well as her memorable romance with actor Gene Wilder. Though her life was cut short when she lost her battle to ovarian cancer in May 1989, her legacy lives on through other female comedians who have followed her. Prepare to laugh, cry, and then laugh again as you watch the first look at the film above (I know I sure did).

Hold Up, Did Mandy Moore Just Reveal a Major Spoiler About the This Is Us Finale?

This Is Us season three is still two months away, but we're already getting details about the series finale. Yes, you read that right. In May, creator Dan Fogelman shocked fans when he revealed that they have already shot parts of the finale, and Mandy Moore's recent quotes have us even more anxious about what's in store.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, the actress, who plays Pearson matriarch Rebecca, revealed that she actually knows how the series will end. When the host tried to ask more about the scene, though, Moore teased that she might not be in the footage. Hold up: does this confirm the theory that Rebecca will eventually die, or is Moore just trying to stay coy about the plot?

The uncertainty is killing us! See what else she had to say below.

Princess Eugenie Has Selected Her Maid of Honor, and Her Choice Should Come as No Surprise

Princess Eugenie has officially selected her maid of honor, and her choice should come as no surprise. The 28-year-old royal has chosen her older sister, 29-year-old Princess Beatrice, to stand by her side when she ties the knot with Jack Brooksbank on Oct. 12. Eugenie confirmed the exciting news in the September 2018 issue of British Vogue and also revealed that she is "not stressed at all" with the wedding planning.

"It's nerve-racking because you want it to be perfect, but then you realize that you're going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters," she told the magazine. "Euge is amazing," Beatrice added. "She's a very modern bride." Hmm . . . perhaps Eugenie and Jack's recent Italian getaway gave the couple the perfect amount of rest and relaxation they were likely craving.

25 Celebrities Who Feel Your Middle Child Syndrome Pain

It's not easy being the middle child, having to grow up between the eldest kid (who likely got a lot of attention early on) and the youngest (who, for some reason, always seems to get their way). While recent studies are finding that middle children are a dwindling demo as couples decide to have smaller families, there are plenty of celebrities who grew up between older and younger siblings and have managed to come out on top (take that, middle child syndrome).

From supermodels to superheros, these famous faces may be the middle children in their families, but they made sure they made a name for themselves.

This Is How Many Times a Week You Should Lift Weights, According to a Personal Trainer

Lifting weights is an essential part of any fitness regimen; strength training helps you get stronger, sculpt lean muscle, and even lose weight. But to reap all of these amazing benefits, how many days a week should you be lifting weights?

Of course, the answer varies, depending on your goals. If you're a bodybuilder looking to put on muscle, you probably want to lift more than someone who is simply looking to lose body fat. In general, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) guidelines recommend that adults should strength train two to three times per week, with a 48-hour break in between, said personal trainer and registered dietitian Jim White, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios.

He recommends to start off by doing eight to 12 reps of eight to 10 different exercises in order to improve strength. To improve muscular endurance, increase the reps to 10 to 15. "The weight chosen should be one where you reach fatigue within the given repetition range," he said. If you can complete one or two reps more than the 10 to 15 range, increase your weight by two pounds.

Strength training is one of our favorite ways to get in shape. If you're intimidated by the weight room, start out small and work your way up until you feel fatigued. You'll be increasing your weights and seeing muscle definition in no time!

How Training For a Half Marathon Changed My Mindset

I'd always been a reasonably fit person. I played soccer through college and lived an active lifestyle after that. My husband and I enjoyed bike riding, kayaking, jogging, and staying healthy. But after having kids, my body turned to mush. I was out of shape and gasped while trotting up the stairs or even attempting to get back on my bike. So after my youngest turned 1 year old, I finally decided to start working out again. Only, after a few short months, I still wasn't satisfied. Although I was back into decent shape, I missed being competitive against others and within myself. After talking to my friend, she suggested, "Why don't we train for a half marathon?"

I stared at her blankly. She knew that running was the one form of exercise I despised. To be honest, I was scared of the failure. I didn't think I could finish all 13 miles of a half marathon. In the past, I'd joke that I'd run if someone was chasing after me or toward the clearance rack, but for enjoyment? No. Yet she persisted. "Come on, it won't be that bad and we can do it together." I gave in. We signed up for our first 5k. The entire race seemed to go uphill and I gasped for air the entire run. I thought I was dying. My mind was not conquering the pain that my body was in.

After that race, we signed up for two more 5Ks and a 10K. I never thought I'd be able to run over six miles. I used to think someone needed to keep 911 on their speed dial when I tried. But after the second 5K, which wasn't that bad, I started to increase my mileage with each run. I'd add only a half mile or so each time, but I did it. I put the ear buds in my ear and blasted "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, "This Girl Is on Fire" by Alicia Keys, and more. It became easier for my mentality to push through those hard miles. I'd blaze through my quiet trail with my adrenaline running through me. Finally, I realized . . . I could do it.

And I did. My friend and I managed to finish that 10K thanks to our "mind over matter" mindsets. I finished fifth in my age group, which is no great feat, but to me it was. It felt good to know that my mind could push my body to accomplish something new, conquer any old fears, and kick ass like I used to when I was younger. A couple months later, we finished our goal - we crossed the finish line of that half marathon. During the last mile of that race, I had to run up a steep hill. Anger ran through me and my legs turned to pudding. I wanted desperately to stop. But my mind told me to run, so I did. There were several other times during that race when I thought I had hit the wall, but my mind thought otherwise. I kept going despite the pain that my body was in.

After the half marathon, I've used what I learned in all aspects of my life. I let my mind conquer my body or any other uncertainties I may be having. If I'm feeling doubtful about my writing, for example, I work harder and then submit to the big publications. I have nothing to lose, after all. If I feel nervous about attempting a new kind of workout, I just remember that I have already pushed through a half marathon and that I can do anything. I'm grateful that my friend suggested running that half marathon because now I know that my body and mind are capable of so much more. And it's great that I get to live my life with no limitations!

Do Air Squats Burn Fat? Here's What Trainers Had to Say

Air squats seem to be the favorite bodyweight exercise for HIIT classes and other boutique fitness studios. Since you use no other equipment except your body, air squats are supposed to help you tone your legs, build a booty, and torch lower-body fat. But are these promises too good to be true? (Spoiler alert: squats alone won't transform your butt.)

We asked personal trainers the truth about air squats and whether or not they are actually an effective exercise. If you're embarking on a squat challenge and busting out dozens of air squats a day, will you see any results? Here's what the experts had to say.

Air Squats Are a Beginner Move

For more advanced gym-goers, air squats may seem like a waste of time, especially if you're able to sidle up to the squat rack and take on 150 pounds. But for beginners, air squats can be a great place to start.

Personal trainer and dietitian Jim White, RD, ACSM health fitness specialist, and owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, recommended people start out with air squats before advancing on to other squat variations.

"Air squats are the beginner squat; they help to ensure that your squat form is correct in order to avoid injuries," he told POPSUGAR. "As the person advances and the air squats become easier, they should try regular squats and jump squat intervals because it will keep their heart rate high and in the anaerobic part of their workout. Then weights should be added to the squats that will lead to more calories being burned as well as increasing the BMR (basal metabolic rate) and cardiovascular for burning a higher amount of fat."

Using Your Bodyweight Is a Functional Movement

Some people may be so into weightlifting that they dismiss bodyweight moves and neglect the importance of functional movement for not only muscle building but overall fitness. Certified personal trainer Kendall Janicola, NCSF and instructor at Fhitting Room in New York City, told POPSUGAR that air squats are a functional movement with a "plethora of benefits," even if you just use your bodyweight.

White agreed that squats are an essential move for overall fitness. "Squats are one of the most intense exercises you can do," he said. "They work out the complete lower body for an intense metabolism boost." He said that while air squats are a good place to start, you should move on to adding weights to keep boosting your metabolism and burning fat.

So, Do Air Squats Actually Burn Fat?

This answer is a little complicated since you can't spot-target fat loss. If you're looking to lose fat in your lower body, doing an endless number of squats alone won't get you there. You need to lose weight overall to burn fat, and this is done by eating in a calorie deficit and working out. Ultimately, your genetic makeup determines where fat is lost on your body.

However, air squats can help get you there. White said air squats can help you burn fat, but they may not be as effective as other squats, such as squats with barbells or jump squat intervals. Janicola agreed.

"Air squats can and absolutely do burn fat and build lean muscle," she told POPSUGAR. "If you're new to weight training, the air squat is the perfect place to start to turn on those muscles and learn the right technique to get things going." However, you can only do so many air squats for so long before you'll eventually plateau, in which case you should add weight to burn fat, build muscle, and get stronger.

In short: yes, they burn fat, but you shouldn't rely on them as an exercise that will burn leg fat and build your butt muscles. Combined with other strength-training moves, bodyweight exercises, and functional movement, they can help you shed fat and sculpt muscle. Just don't expect that doing 100 air squats a day will magically transform your body (or your booty) - eventually, you'll have to pick up some weights.

How This Practice Can Prevent You From Binge Eating and Help You Lose Weight

You're snacking on a bag of chips while watching a show. You look down at the end of the episode and realize that you've just eaten the entire bag. Or even if it's not that extreme, maybe you simply don't remember what you ate for breakfast today. It may not seem like a big deal, but it could cause you to unwittingly make bad food choices and/or overeat. That's where mindful eating comes in.

Mindfulness encourages you to be more present and aware of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. When this concept is applied to food, it encourages you to be more conscious of what you're putting into your body (as well as environmental sustainability) and to be more in tune with your body's cues (aka whether you're hungry or full). Dr. Lilian Cheung, a nutritionist and lecturer at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, told Harvard Health that "mindless eating" could be contributing to our national obesity epidemic. On an individual level, being more mindful when you eat can improve your relationship with food and serve as an effective long-term weight-loss solution.

The whole idea is to pay attention to not only what you eat and how much, but what you buy and how you prepare it as well. In doing so, you become much more appreciative of food and you're less likely to overindulge. According to Healthline, it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to realize that you're full. So instead of scarfing down your dinner, chew and eat slowly and free your table of any distractions. This means not responding to texts until you're finished eating, not scrolling through Instagram as you eat, and not eating in front of a TV.

According to the Center For Mindful Eating, the practice consists of the following:

  • "Allowing yourself to become aware of the positive and nurturing opportunities that are available through food selection and preparation by respecting your own inner wisdom."
  • "Using all your senses in choosing to eat food that is both satisfying to you and nourishing to your body."
  • "Acknowledging responses to food (likes, dislikes, or neutral) without judgment."
  • "Becoming aware of physical hunger and satiety cues to guide your decisions to begin and end eating."

Apply this practice starting with your next meal!

Cheese-Lovers, Here's All the Dairy You Can Eat on the Keto Diet

Over the last year, the keto diet has skyrocketed in popularity, probably for one very distinct reason: it encourages you to eat fatty foods. The only major caveat is that you have to keep your carb intake low. Offsetting this often-difficult task, however, is the keto diet's allowance of another beloved food group: dairy. Most cheeses are low in carbs, making them perfectly acceptable for the keto meal plan. The same goes for fatty dairy foods like butter and heavy cream, which almost seems too good to be true. A diet that gives you the thumbs-up when you eat butter? It's not hard to see how it caught on and spread like wildfire.

Although you won't be able to enjoy the glorious combination that is cheese and bread (bye-bye, buttered toast and bagels with cream cheese) if you've gone keto, you'll still be able to indulge in plenty of decadent recipes. Click through to see which dairy products you can eat on the keto diet, along with some keto-friendly recipe ideas.

We Tried Those Trendy, Vegan Ice Cream Pops - and They're Just as Delicious as They Are Pretty

Those plant-based frozen treats you're seeing all over Instagram are in fact just as delicious as they are pretty. We taste-tested vegan-friendly Dream Pops at POPSUGAR's San Francisco office, and surprisingly, no one gave a rating less than a four or five (out of five). Both vegans and non-vegans gave the thumbs up for each of the three flavors we tried: Chocolate Lion, Berry Dreams, and Coconut Latte.

Each coconut-milk-based pop is under 100 calories and free of dairy, gluten, soy, and artificial additives. And if the no-dairy part is turning any of you hardcore ice-cream-lovers off, I can honestly say that Dream Pops are creamy and rich enough to make you forget all about milk.

So, what makes these so special? For one, the health-centered company partnered with a three-star Michelin chef and sourced quality ingredients to make its treats clean yet tasty. But these aren't good for vegan ice cream pops - they're good. Period.

Why Blake Lively's Trainer Says Lifting Weights Is Better Than Cardio For Losing Fat

Celebrity trainer and Drive 495 founder Don Saladino is known for sculpting the bodies of some of Hollywood's finest, like Zazie Beetz, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds.

Don's approach to fitness is simple. "I'm always trying to get someone to be a good athlete first . . . then we can do more with their body, and if we can do more with their body, once you dial in on their diet, that's where we're able to create pretty good progress and results," he told POPSUGAR.

When it comes to the cardio vs. weightlifting debate for fat loss, Don explained, "I almost always say weights is better than cardio because you can make the weight training session somewhat cardiovascular by just reducing the rest time." When asked what people should be doing - cardio or lifting weights - Don said, "It's always weights. Scientifically, you're going to burn more fat calories through resistance training."

If you want to burn more fat, it's time to hit the weights and take less rest in between sets. Here's a four-week beginner's weightlifting plan to get you started.

Looking to Burn Belly Fat? Try These 5 Slimming, Dietitian-Approved Drinks

If you're trying to lose weight, odds are you probably want to eliminate your belly fat. After all, visceral fat, or the belly fat stored in your abdominal cavity, is the most dangerous. It's been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions.

But getting rid of belly fat specifically may be easier said than done. You can't spot-target fat loss; your genetic makeup determines where you gain and lose fat. However, you can lose weight overall, including from your belly, with a mix of dietary changes, exercise, and other lifestyle factors.

When it comes to your diet, it's not just what you eat but also what you drink that's important. If you're downing sugary beverages on the regular, you may be ingesting hundreds of empty calories each day, which can lead to an excess of belly fat. On the flip side, there are some beverages you can drink that can help you lose weight and burn belly fat. We tapped dietitian Jillian Kubala, MS, RD, who told POPSUGAR her top five picks for what to drink to shrink your belly.

I Haven't Eaten Dairy For 4 Years, and I've Experienced These 12 Massive Health Benefits

As a young animal lover, I stopped eating meat when I was 13 years old, and dairy was an absolute staple. I didn't think anything was wrong with it because it wasn't like the cows were being killed, right? Wrong. So wrong. It wasn't until four years ago, when I watched the documentary Vegucated, that I found out how inhumane the dairy industry is. I had no idea! Cows are artificially impregnated at an alarming rate, and after they gave birth, their babies are brutally taken away from them immediately and hooked up to a machine to give their milk to us. I was sobbing watching a farmer drag a newborn calf away from its mama while she screamed and tried to chase after it as they held her back.

I live in Vermont, where the joke is that there are more cows than people. I spoke to tons of small family farms to find out the truth. They all nodded. I was shocked that one very well-known organic farm explained, "The reason we separate the calf right away is so they don't bond. Already you can hear the moms and calves mooing to each other, and it'd be much worse if they stayed together." It made me sick. As a mother of two, my heart ached, and I felt compelled to give dairy up overnight.

Aside from feeling good about not supporting the cruel dairy industry, I had no idea how dramatically my life would improve over the past four years. Here are the amazing health benefits I experienced after going dairy-free.
