This Math Problem Will Make You Question Everything You Ever Knew About Algebra
Math isn't everyone's best skill - and even those who are good at it are questioning everything after trying this algebra problem.
The question originally went viral in Japan, after a study discovered that only 60 percent of 20-somethings could actually solve it. Are you already feeling frustrated and hopeless at trying to know what the answer is? Watch the video below, posted by YouTube user MindYourDecisions, a popular math puzzle channel. In it, Presh Talwalkar, the mastermind behind this question, will guide you to the right answer.
As you can see, not even a calculator can help you, as it will read the problem wrong and arrive at the answer of 9. To solve it correctly in a calculator, you need to write it out like this: 9-3/(1/3) + 1, which will lead you to 1 as the correct answer. The problem tests your knowledge of PEMDAS, the order of operations formula, which says you must get to the answer by following these steps in this order: parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. In this question, that means dividing 3 by the 1/3 first, which is the same as 3x3. That will then lead you to 9-9+1. From there, 9-9=0 + 1 = 1. Ta-da!
If you arrived at 3, 7, or 9 as your answer, you're not alone. Most people have forgotten how to use PEMDAS or interpret the fraction of 1/3 the wrong way. Still not feeling much of a challenge? Try this other math question that not even parents could solve.
Brock Turner Loses Appeal For New Trial, Will Register as Sex Offender For Life
Brock Turner will not be receiving a new trial after a California court rejected his appeal on Aug. 8. In 2016, Turner was convicted of three counts of felony sexual assault against an unconscious 22-year-old woman at Stanford University. He was found by two Swedish graduate students, who detained him until the police arrived. While his original trial sparked a national conversation, he was only handed a lenient six-month jail sentence by now-recalled judge Aaron Persky.
Despite his controversial sentence and an outrageous release after only three months, the disgraced student recently claimed he wasn't given a fair trial. In an attempt to avoid being required to register as a sex offender for life, he appealed his case in December 2017. Turner's reasoning? He argued he was only guilty of "outercourse" and that there wasn't sufficient evidence against him to warrant the punishment given, despite the accounts of the eyewitnesses, hospital staff, and paramedics.
The court of appeals sided with the original ruling, deciding Turner's argument "lacks merit," and rejected his request for a new trial. In turn, he will still be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The Absolute Best Way to Cook Zucchini Noodles
Congrats! You've successfully made zoodles in a spiralizer. Now, onto the important question: how do you actually cook them? Unlike pasta, you fortunately don't need to wait around for a pot of water to boil. Instead, you treat the veggie "noodles" as vegetables you'd normally sauté on the stovetop.
The best way to cook a batch of zoodles is to heat one or two tablespoons of oil, such as olive oil or coconut oil, in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the noodles with a generous pinch of salt and a little pepper. After about five minutes, the zoodles will be slightly softened but not mushy, which is what you're after. They'll be similar to the al dente texture of traditional pasta.
And that's it! You can turn off the heat and turn your zucchini noodles into a full meal catered to your preference. You could add homemade bolognese sauce, basil pesto and parmesan cheese, lemon butter shrimp and red pepper flakes, or even more of your favorite satueed veggies to the mix. After trying out this healthy alternative to carb-heavy pasta a few times, you might convince yourself you like it almost as much as the real thing.
Ready to get cooking? Here are some more zucchini noodle recipes to get you started.

I've Bought These Comfy Pants 2 Years in a Row - They're That Good
Anyone who knows me knows I usually opt for comfy trousers over uncomfortable jeans, but it wasn't always that way. Last year, I discovered these Reformation Joss Pants ($78), and it changed my wardrobe for good.
Quickly after buying them, they became the only ones I wore to work, on vacation, and even on nights out. The lightweight material is great for hot days but still keeps me warm on chilly nights. They're easy to style with sneakers and a denim jacket or sandals and a crop top in Summer. In colder weather or on a night out, I dress them up with booties or heels with a leather jacket. You get it . . . no matter what I do, this is my go-to pair. The ribbed texture is so flattering on my body but feels like I'm wearing sweatpants. They don't lack in style, either. The cropped flare bottoms give this high-waisted pant an extra edge, making any look feel more elevated.
Last year they sold out quickly, so when they just came back in stock, I was excited to grab a new pair. Now I have some I can throw on and wear to the beach and another pair I can keep for nicer occasions. Do yourself a favor and get your size before it's too late.

Mom Jeans, Coifed Hair, and Shoulder Pads: 10 Times Princess Diana Was a Typical '90s Mom
Although Princess Diana's short life came to an unfortunate end in 1997, the mom of two spent her time in the '90s being exactly what was expected of her: a total '90s mom.
Anyone who remembers their own mom from that decade can easily recall her mom jeans, hair coifs, and shoulder pads; all classic wardrobe choices of the ultimate '90s mom. They'll also remember being dressed by their mother in outfits that matched their siblings, and a whole lot of denim and neon. And despite being a royal and one of the most highly photographed women at that time, Princess Diana fit that bill perfectly as mom to Princes William and Harry.
Check out the 10 iconic photos below, which all prove in one way or another that Princess Diana was just your average, run-of-the mill '90s mom.
My Kids Are Too Young For Halloween, but I Bring Them Trick-or-Treating Anyway
Many parents opt out of taking their babies trick-or-treating on Halloween. I get it. The kids are too small, they won't remember a thing, they can't walk up to a house and ask for candy, and you feel a little bad splurging on an adorable costume that definitely won't fit them for more than a week. But if you're on the fence about taking your littlest ones door-to-door this year, I'm here to tell you that it can also be totally worth it.
No, they won't remember their first time trick-or-treating, but they will have those obnoxious family photos with our matching costumes to look back on.
For my son's first Halloween, he was only five months old, so I debated whether or not I should take him trick-or-treating. Bringing him meant I had to carry him, and if he was in a costume, that would make things even more of a challenge. It also meant that my husband and I had to do all the actual trick-or-treating while he smiled and charmed everyone. But as most first-time parents know, we really wanted to show him off. So, after a little bit of thought and a lot of costume searching, we dressed him up in a Detroit Tigers costume. He couldn't have looked any cuter. My husband, in-laws, and I walked the streets and took turns having him strapped inside the baby carrier or planted on our hip. People kept stopping us and commenting about how cute he was, and to be honest, hearing those things all night made me so happy. My son was all smiles at every new face that looked his way (many of whom were in costumes), and even though he won't remember it, I like to think that gave him a really good foundation for fun Halloween memories. So, after that first successful year, we decided to do it again when we had our daughter.
We immediately became that family of four that wears matching themed costumes. Cheesy, I know, but I just can't help myself. It's so fun! On my daughter's first Halloween, we all went as part of the Curious George crew. My husband was The Man with the Yellow Hat, I was Professor Wiseman, my almost 2-year-old son was Curious George himself, and our baby daughter was a banana. She definitely won't remember her first time trick-or-treating with her big brother, but she will have those obnoxious family photos with our matching costumes to look back on, and that's more than worth it to me. The photos will serve as a reminder of the early days when my husband and I were just starting to build our very own family traditions.
I understand why some parents don't want to bring their babies trick-or-treating, but I definitely don't think those who do should be shamed because of it. Yes, it's a lot of work and the weather rarely cooperates, but it's also about spending quality time together as a family. And those photos (of matching costumes or not) will last a lifetime for both you and your children. You'll be able to look back on them and tell your kids all about their very first Halloween, and that's something they'll always remember.
Princess Diana's Wedding Can Teach All Kids This 1 Important Lesson
As a new parent, I've already started to think about the sorts of things I'll teach my daughter . . . and the sorts of things I'll show her. The distinction for me, of course, is about creating an environment in which she absorbs certain lessons simply by being exposed to them. And while our family has received a fair amount of enlightening feminist books that teach empowerment and courage (so far Rosie Revere Engineer is my favorite), I'm especially looking forward to teaching her - nay, showing her - that Mom and Dad are equals.
Gender equality in the home was something I was fortunate enough to be exposed to growing up, and all parents can lean on a number of different resources to provide similar lessons for their children. One place we can all look to, surprisingly, is Princess Diana's legacy.

Breastfeeding Must Haves That Make the Whole Thing Just a Little Bit Easier
Believe it or not, there's a lot more to breastfeeding than just placing your newborn at the boob and hoping for the best. You might get lucky sometimes and require next to no gear in order to feed your child, but if you find yourself struggling to get your new baby to latch, feel that nursing itself is painful, or think you might want to empower other people in your home to take turns feeding your little one using a bottle, then you'll need to stock up on the essentials. While breastfeeding is technically free, sometimes you gotta just buy some stuff to support you.
These Photos of Cats With Their Tiny Humans Prove Dogs Have Nothing on Felines
Bringing your baby home is one of the most memorable - and tiring - points in parents' lives. And while there's no doubt that your newborn will take up the bulk of your time, that doesn't necessarily mean that your furry friends need to take a back seat. For pet moms and dads, ensuring your new human hits it off with your furbaby is a top priority - and cats are no exception.
While we totally know that dogs get all the credit for being baby's BFF, cats are also known for getting some serious quality time with teeny bundles of joy. And thankfully, some parents have been quick enough with their phones to capture these sweet moments on camera.
Scroll through to get a peek at some of the seriously adorable photos of cats and their humans to see for yourself, and try not to sprint to your closest pet shelter in the process.
Having Grown Up Without Siblings, I Refuse to Have Just 1 Child in the Future
Since as early as I can remember, I've always wished I had a sibling. Part of the reason is inexplicable - just this longing that I've felt for a brother or sister my entire life - and the other part is made up of smaller reasons, mainly that all of my best friends and cousins grew up with siblings and I was never not envious. Because of the sense of loss I felt growing up an only child, I've always vowed never to have just one child myself.
Simply put, I'd never want my only child to grow up feeling the way I did - like I was missing out on something so huge and important. My best friend, Meagan - also an only child - has always felt as close to a sister as I'll ever get, and I know if I had an only child, they'd find their chosen siblings in truly great friends as well, but that just doesn't feel like enough. Some people who grow up as their parent's lone child completely thrive in being the one and only, but that wasn't my experience, and it may not be my child's either.
I'd never want my only child to grow up feeling the way I did - like I was missing out on something so huge and important.
I feel so passionately about having at least two children that before I met my boyfriend, I'd literally write men off after the first date if they noted that they'd only want one kid in the future. And while I fully understand (and think about often) that I could struggle with conceiving, that doesn't affect my personal decision in the slightest. Whether I'm able to have biological children or my partner and I adopt, there's just no way I can slice it where I see myself raising an only child.
All this said, here are even more reasons I'd never want to have an only child.
See How This Divorced Couple Live Together With Their New Partners and Combined 6 Kids
Katie Blackmer and her ex-husband Stephen had to work hard at coparenting their children, Gracelyn, 11, Kaylynn, 10, and Colston, 5, after their divorce. But you wouldn't know it now, as Katie, Stephen, Katie's husband Ben, Stephen's girlfriend Brandy, and their combined six kids all live happily under the same roof. The family, which calls itself the "Blended 10," live together in one two-story home in Tennessee and couldn't imagine their situations being any different.
In 2016, following her and Stephen's divorce, Katie married Ben, who has a 19-year-old son named Hunter from his previous marriage. The blended family of six then welcomed Stephen into their home in 2017, after injuries from a fatal car crash that tragically killed his brother required him to have around-the-clock care. Then, shortly after Stephen began dating Brandy in late 2017, she and her two kids, 7-year-old Jaxson and 9-year-old Kayleigh, moved in, and the group became one happy family.
When asked the best part of this unique living situation, Katie didn't hesitate. "That Stephen and I get to see our children every day," Katie told POPSUGAR. "It was so hard for me to have to give up my days with them at the beginning. I didn't want to share them, but I had to."
"We are a team, we are number one fans for all of our children, and each other's support systems!"
Another benefit centers on having very active kids. With each of the five younger kids in sports, it's been a huge help to Katie, Ben, Stephen, and Brandy to have all of them together so it's easier to keep a schedule and get the kids to and from their various activities. "Our whole life is run from a calendar that hangs on the front door," Katie said, adding of her and her coparents: "We are a team, we are number one fans for all of our children, and each other's support systems!"
However, having a full house wasn't always so easy. "We have conquered [this], but in the beginning, the challenging part was getting all the children on the same page, like with rules and sharing. Now all the girls wear the same clothes, share shoes. And the boys have learned to share all their toys. They still have their moments when they fight over little things, but everyone has adjusted very well. We love the way our household is now! We wouldn't change it for the world," Katie said, adding that actually, "the only change I see in the future is a bigger house."
Princess Diana's Most Thoughtful Quotes on Motherhood and Family
Princess Diana held many titles as a royal, philanthropist, and fashion icon, but her most important role was that of mother. Diana gave birth to Prince William in 1982 and Prince Harry in 1984 during her marriage to Prince Charles. She sadly passed away in August 1997 when her sons were just 15 and 12 years old, but she made it clear during her life how important they were to her. She further championed the importance of family with the causes she supported and the powerful messages she shared in her public life.
During those speeches and in a handful of interviews, Diana revealed her thoughts on motherhood, family, and her own children.
This Ad Campaign to Protect Kids Who Are Killed by Family Guns Will Chill You to the Bone
No matter your view on the second amendment, there's one thing we should all agree on: children should never be able to get their hands on a gun. However, eight kids are unintentionally injured or killed by a loaded, unlocked gun each day in America. Released on Aug. 8 in order to protect those eight kids, the "End Family Fire" campaign, "a movement aimed at putting safety first," was launched "to promote responsible gun ownership in the home."
In a chilling video from the Ad Council, the mission of the campaign is driven home through a conversation between a father and son that goes from lighthearted to dark very quickly. After tickling his son and asking him to get ready for his day, the dad is faced with an unexpected question that leads to the candid chat: "Hey, Dad, do we have a gun?"
Family Fire is a real and preventable tragedy that affects millions of families.
The boy first discusses the dad's gun (which he says he bets looks like a toy) and its purpose, then asks where it's kept and if it's loaded, guessing the answers to both questions correctly before his dad can curb his son's curiosity. The terror in the father's eyes as his son suggests that the gun could be used by him to protect his mom when the pair are alone is enough to give you chills, but the boy's small voice discussing such a huge and heavy topic will bring you to tears.
"I'll teach you how to handle the gun when you're old enough," the dad says.
"And what if I don't make it to 'old enough'? I could get bullied and decide it's too much for me. It would be so easy with our gun," the son responds.
"Our gun? No, buddy, my gun."
"But it is our gun, in our home. Happens all the time."
"I'll make sure that doesn't happen. I'm always here for you."
"But, Dad, you're not always here."
The ad ends with the dad standing in the same place in the kitchen, but his son isn't there and the cartoons that were playing previously are now a weather report; his son's toys and drawings that were on the floor have disappeared. With the boy missing, we're led to believe that the father was left to imagine this conversation because his son is already gone at the hands of the gun he was so curious about.
"Referring to shootings that involve improperly stored or misused guns found in homes, family fire is a real and preventable tragedy that affects millions of families," the Ad Council site reads. "When it comes to guns, we can all agree on the importance of preventing kids from having easy access to them. These PSAs aim to inspire gun owners to make their homes safer when it comes to the storage and handling of their guns."
If you have a gun in your home, consider these tips from EndFamilyFire.org:
- Keep your gun in a secure and inaccessible location, away from kids (like a gun safe).
- Always store your gun and its ammo separately.
- Pair your gun with a gun lock of the right style and size.
- Discuss gun safety with your family.
- If you aren't a gun owner yet, consider other options for family home security, like cameras.

A Psychologist Breaks Down Why You're So Attracted to the Way Your Partner Smells
You don't need us to remind you that your period impacts everything from your mood to your skin. While many of the negative side effects that come with your time of the month have been well-documented, there's one small thing you may not know: your period actually influences the type of scents you're attracted to.
"Our cycle has more to do with what kind of scents and fragrances that we're attracted to than we might think," said Dr. Belisa Vranich, clinical psychologist and author of The Breathing Class. This is because when you're ovulating before your period, you're attracted to people who have high levels of testosterone. The way testosterone smells will vary, though, depending on who's doing the sniffing. For instance, one person might deem it musky while another thinks it's sweet. On the opposite end of the spectrum, your period might also repel you from certain smells. "During your period, certain scents that might normally not bother you can come off as revolting or way too strong," said Dr. Vranich. Studies have shown that women's senses of smell are especially heightened when they're on their period, implying that our olfactory sense might be closely related to the reproductive cycle. Interestingly, being on birth control might help keep your senses in check; in one study, women who were on the pill were less bothered by musk aromas and male pheromones than those who were cycling naturally. Who knew?
Serena Williams Just Invested in a Game-Changing Razor Brand
The shaving and body care subscription service Billie has earned scores of fans for its easy-to-use products, realistic ad campaigns, and commitment to abolishing the "Pink Tax." One such Billie fan happens to be among the greatest athletes of all time. Serena Williams just announced that she has invested in the budding business, due in part to raising awareness about the inequality of the "Pink Tax," a term used to describe how female-specific products such as razors, pads, and fashion accessories cost more than they should.
"I'm a lifelong proponent of equality for women - on and off the court," Williams said in a press release. "I'm proud to become an investor in Billie, an inclusive female body brand that's raising awareness and tackling this inequity head on. The shaving industry is dominated by male brands which have traditionally overcharged and underserved women."
Billie co-founder Georgina Gooley told POPSUGAR, "We are lucky to have wonderful investors who allow us to grow, continue to build our brand, and support our mission of ending the pink tax. Razors have traditionally been one of the biggest culprits of this sexist tax, so we want to encourage customers to buy products from companies that are fair to women."
The 23-time Grand Slam winning athlete has been busy of late, being a Wimbledon runner-up, becoming an advocate for working mothers, and even finding the time to drop a fashion label to help women of all ages feel confident. Now, she can add startup investor to her already-impressive résumé, because women are unstoppable.
When Back-to-School Shopping Includes Plastic Surgery
For many people, "back-to-school shopping" means stocking up on pens and notebooks, but there are others in the market for a brand-new face. According to one doctor, the lazy days of Summer are a busy time for the plastic surgery business.
"There is an uptick in the number of young women, and occasionally men, who come to my practice during the Summer," Dr. Z. Paul Lorenc, an NYC plastic surgeon, told POPSUGAR. "In fact, just yesterday I performed a rhinoplasty on a young woman who is going off to college this Fall." The time off for students means having a procedure can provide a boost of confidence before entering a transitional stage in their life. "Whether they do it before they go off to college or start a new job, it helps patients feel more comfortable and secure about themselves," Dr. Lorenc said.
When it comes to downtime, the surgeon recommends giving yourself six weeks to fully heal from a nose job before going back to school or work, which is part of why Summer or Winter break is a popular time for students to book an operation. In general, most surgeons will not operate on anyone who is younger than 16 years old. "Occasionally, we have to break a plate in the septum during a nose job," he said. "If you're 13 or 14, you are way too young to have a nose job, because theoretically, breaking that plate could stop the growth of your face."
"Young people are under so much pressure to be perfect, and a lot of that pressure comes from their peers."
There's a psychological reason to wait before going under the knife, too. The recovery period that comes after getting a rhinoplasty can be grueling for kids growing up in an overfiltered Instagram culture. "Young people are under so much pressure to be perfect, and a lot of that pressure comes from their peers," Dr. Lorenc said. Of course, no one needs plastic surgery, but there is nothing wrong with opting to go under the knife if it is your own personal decision.
According to the doctor, "One reason for getting this procedure done in the Summer is that no one has to see their acute recovery, which can include bruising and swelling." That said, Dr. Lorenc also explained that many patients tell him the recovery process is not as bad as they initially expected it to be. Most of the bruising will go down after the first week, and the residual swelling could last for six weeks. Patients shouldn't work out until that six-week mark, but they can exercise after that – perhaps just in time for JV field hockey tryouts.
I Tried This 1 BB Cream and I Don't Have to Wear Foundation Anymore
While I do love makeup, I've always, always struggled finding a great foundation that fully covers my stubborn dark spots, which has made me despise trying products. While I have been treating my scars using serums every night, I still have to deal with them during the day, which has meant caking up my face with foundation. I quickly became frustrated with (a) how much time was getting wasted every morning applying it and (b) the aforementioned cakey feeling I get even when I don't apply that much product. Enter Guerlain's BB Cream.
I discovered this miracle product, which released back in 2016, while I visited the brand's spa in Dubai, and let me just say it felt like the universe was finally saying, "Hey! You deserve this, girl." I actually bought the product on a whim (I was currently on a facial high since my skin looked so great after getting one), but I'm so glad I did. Now, mornings are easier and getting ready takes half the time it used to. All I have to do is just apply a pump on the back of my hand and brush it onto my face like I would with foundation.
The product is super lightweight, which is great if you don't want to deal with that sticky feeling all day. Plus, it saves me from applying both sunscreen and highlighter because it literally makes my skin look like it's clear and glowing. If you're looking to ditch your foundation like I did, you can buy a tube of this goodness ahead.
Jackie Cruz From OITNB Explains Why You Won’t See Any Makeup Tutorials in Season 6
In the bleak, dimly lit world that is Litchfield Penitentiary, where getting shanked in the shower is about as likely a forecast as eating moldy baloney for lunch and the used-panty market not only exists but thrives, it's not at all staggering that inmates are constantly seeking new forms of escapism. For Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales in Netflix's Orange is the New Black, that often involves makeup.
For starters, the character's cat-eye skills are uncanny. ("What're you gonna wow them with," chef Gloria Mendoza once asked Flaca, "your eyeliner skills, or your smarts about how many words rhyme with 'bleak' in emo songs?") So we asked Jackie Cruz, the Dominican-American actress who plays her, to take a break from promoting the show's newly released sixth season and her single La Hora Loca to spill the exact liner she uses both on and off set, the fate of those "Flaritza" makeup tutorials, and why some women in Litchfield don't drink the Kool-Aid sold in commissary - they wear it on their lips.
How the OITNB Makeup Team Make Actresses Look "Terrible"
Part of OITNB's initial appeal was that its cast of inmates actually looked like they were in prison, unrealistic Hollywood glam need not apply. "[The show's makeup artists] definitely don't make us up at all," she said. " In this new season, my character is barely wearing any makeup. Maybe they'll cover up a pimple, but they love it when we look terrible. They want it to look authentic."
That's why this show is so important. It's not about beauty; it's about the talent. We got hired because we're good, not because of the way we look.
And if you didn't wake up looking rundown from a corrupt prison system? Cruz says the team adds a little makeup to ensure you do. "Sometimes they give you dark eye bags - just look at Laura Gomez's character [Blanca Flores]. She doesn't really look like that without makeup. They add that in. It's TV. If your character is bruised, they'll put some purple eye shadow on you to make it look real."
That tired look, after all, is how Cruz landed the job in the first place. "Before I got this role, I was working two jobs," she said. "I got no sleep, had bags under my eyes, and was so skinny because I didn't have money to eat much. I auditioned with no makeup on, which was really scary for me going in there raw like that. I thought, Hollywood is all about beauty. Even though the show is about prison, it's still TV. But that's why this show is so important. It's not about beauty; it's about the talent. We got hired because we're good, not because of the way we look."
The Brilliant Beauty Hacks Women in Prison Really Use
When Flaca and her BFF-behind-bars Maritza Ramos decided to film their own makeshift beauty tutorials, their premise was simple: explore the real-deal DIY tactics that incarcerated women employ IRL - most ingredients of which can be found in commissary. (Like the vlog that utilized kitchen spices, for example.)
"[Producers] showed us what women really do use in prison for makeup," Cruz said. "It was really cool and interesting to see how creative these women get. They use coffee beans for contour, burnt pencil ends for eyeliner, and Kool-Aid for lipstick, eye shadow, and blush. When we created the tutorials, we were really using those things on camera. It was real."
The 1 Product OITNB's Makeup Team Use on Inmates Every Season
The show's makeup artists must have picked up some inspiration from all those prison tattoos: "We've been using the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($20) since the beginning," said Cruz, adding that it's the one product she'll often use off set, too. "It's an ink tattoo liner that they use all the time. Now I have one in every color."
Why You Won't See Much Makeup in Season 6
No matter how big a hit Flaca's makeup tutorials with Ramos are, there is just more important sh*t happening in the upcoming season that inmates have to worry about. "Beauty is out the door at this point," Cruz said. "This season, my character barely wears any makeup at all. That's just not what this season is about. There are crazier things happening that we need to focus on - like how we're under maximum security right now. It's worse than ever before."

Boy Beef: Jordan Bragged About His Tinder Matches and David Went Nuts
In a battle between a man in a chicken suit and another in gold booty shorts, who would win?
David Ravita and Jordan Kimball, both contestants for Becca Kufrin's heart on season 14 of The Bachelorette, have had their fashion moments. But they also had the most awkward date/fight ever when Jordan said a few things that David didn't take too kindly to - like his match percentage on Tinder. Let's take a look back at this dramatic situation and see how it unfolded now that these two are trapped in a tropical resort together in Bachelor in Paradise.
The Start
So, Jordan originally had tension with Colton, as he felt that Colton wasn't really there for the right reasons. (There was some sort of love triangle thing going on with a previous Bachelor contestant - it wasn't pretty.) However, Jordan and David started to get into it when Jordan's mouth seemed to get the best of him.
Caught on camera, Jordan started talking about his 4,000 Tinder matches in one year. Well, let's be real. Jordan is a male model, and not like that behavior is excusable when you're supposed to be fighting for another woman's heart (it's not excusable, period), but we're pretty sure it was Jordan's way of stroking his own fragile ego. This, however, got David just a little pissed off. He went to Becca and then to the other guys and things got heated.
The Unraveling
I'm still unsure if this two-on-one was scripted planned for dramatic reasons or Becca's idea, but putting two guys who basically hate each other together on a date isn't really the best idea. Anyway, David, Jordan, and Becca went off-roading and wound up in a pretty cool little setup in the middle of the desert of Las Vegas. David, however, used his time with Becca to bash Jordan and tell Becca that Jordan believed he was "settling" by choosing Becca. This made Becca pretty livid (because that's what every woman wants to hear!); however, she turned the tables and eliminated David on the spot.
Becca then finished out the date with Jordan, but things didn't get any better when it came down to the giving of the rose.
The End
Even though Jordan tried to salvage his bad name to Becca, nothing he could say was enough. She was over it, big time, and decided it was time for him to make his exit - booty shorts and all.
On the recent "Men Tell All" special, David admitted that he shouldn't have been so focused on Jordan and should have just focused on spending time with Becca, which a lot of the other men agreed with and called him out for.
Now, these dudes are going to Bachelor in Paradise, where they will end up best friends and uniting against . . . forget we said that. We can't wait to see what drama is going to unfold between the two of these guys when there is more at stake than just one woman's heart.
1 Mom Issued a Warning After Her Son Had an Asthma Attack From a Popular Mall Snack
Posted by Racheal Richard McKenny on Wednesday, July 25, 2018
Racheal Richard McKenny, a mom of two from Florida, is warning parents about a popular mall snack that's aimed at kids after her son Johnny suffered a serious asthma attack shortly after ingesting it. In a now-viral Facebook post, Racheal explained how letting her kids indulge in Dragon's Breath - a liquid-nitrogen-infused cereal treat that makes it look like a person is breathing fire - almost cost Johnny his life.
"We took the kids up to The Avenues mall in Jacksonville yesterday," she wrote. "On our way out, we let the kids split one order of the Dragon's Breath cereal treats. They had fun and it seemed harmless enough. We left the mall right after that and started the 40-minute car ride home. About 10 minutes into the ride home, Johnny started an occasional cough. Around 20 minutes in, the cough became really consistent."
Although Johnny has had a prescription inhaler for five years, he's rarely had to use it. Regardless, Racheal always ensured she brought it along if he was doing a physical activity like riding his bike or hitting a theme park for the day. She also kept a nebulizer at home just in case. But unfortunately on the day in question, Racheal didn't pack his inhaler.
"By the time we passed the Palencia subdivision, he was coughing so bad that he was having trouble catching his breath," said Racheal. "We knew he couldn't breathe, and we knew that we couldn't get him to the hospital in time."
Racheal could tell Johnny was in serious danger and knew she needed to get her son help ASAP - that's when she made the executive decision to pull over at a local fire station.
"If you know someone that has even just a mild case of asthma, do NOT let them have this snack."
"We were able to stop at the fire station and the EMTs were able to immediately start Johnny on an albuterol treatment and hook him up to an IV while preparing him for transport," she explained. "The nebulizer was not improving his breathing at all and, by the time they got him loaded into the ambulance, he needed a shot of epinephrine."
After Johnny was transported to Flagler Hospital, Racheal knew she had to warn other moms and dads whose kids have asthma about his close call.
"PLEASE, if you know someone that has even just a mild case of asthma, do NOT let them have this snack," she said. "I should have known better, but it did not occur to me that this food could have this effect. As a result, my son could have died. Please don't make the same mistake I did."
Thankfully, Johnny is home from the hospital and recovering well. The vendor in question also immediately updated the allergy warning by the kiosk, in hopes of deterring similar incidents.
"It looks like the kiosk has now updated their sign to include an allergy notice with a list of the ingredients, as well as an asthma warning," explained Racheal. "Hopefully other vendors will now update their signs as well to help prevent this from happening again."
Did Kris Jenner Confirm Her Engagement to Corey Gamble While Playing Spill Your Guts?
Kris Jenner may or may not have admitted her engagement to boyfriend Corey Gamble during a game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" on The Late Late Show With James Corden. The KUWTK producer joined the late night host for some lighthearted interrogation, and one of the questions really caught Kris off guard.
When asked the question: "you've been spotted wearing a massive diamond ring on your wedding finger, are you and Corey Gamble engaged?" Kris refused to answer, and instead picked up the cricket forfeit ready to chow down. But then James pointed out "the ring is right there, it's a real giveaway". Kris had an answer for this too, but James was ready with a comeback that resulted in a truly priceless reaction. So are wedding bells ringing? We'll just have to wait and see. But one thing we know by now is that the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder, and she does everything for a reason.
