Why Pairing Some Cheese With Your Wine Actually Protects Your Teeth
The thought of happy hour might make you smile, but wine can cause some serious damage to your pearly whites. Along with coffee and soda, wine is one of the main beverages that cause stains and enamel erosion. While you might immediately think of red wine when you think of damaging alcohols, that Merlot isn't leading to the worst long-term damage - though it may be the source of a mouthful of embarrassing red teeth.
"Red wine is likely to leave dark stains or films on the teeth, staining them quickly," explains Tatiana Herzog, DDS, DICOI, medical adviser for Zwivel and creator of the Dr Herzog Smile Charcoal Toothpaste. "White wine, on the other hand, has a higher acid content. The acid in the wine slowly dissolves the enamel (the white outer layer of the tooth), causing the dentin (the second yellow layer of the tooth) to shine through. This is a more permanent stain caused by the slow erosion of the enamel."
In addition to simple white wine, here are also other types of wines you should be mindful of the next time you're checking out the beverage list at dinner. "Sparkling varieties of wine typically have the highest acid content causing just as much if not more staining," Dr. Herzog explained further. "The same goes for Rosé, which has a high content of acid."
Does this mean you have to give up that evening glass of white wine you've looked forward to all day? Nope! This is especially true if you're willing to enjoy a certain snack along with your Chardonnay.
"Eating cheese while drinking wine can help to neutralize the acidity in wines, protecting the enamel from further erosion," says Dr. Herzog. "Brushing your teeth with a high fluoride toothpaste 30 minutes before drinking can help to combat stains, but do not brush immediately after sipping on wine as this can cause the enamel that has softened from the acid to be brushed away quicker."
Wine and cheese? Don't mind if we do!

We Have Questions About Sophia's Future on Orange Is the New Black
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Orange Is the New Black season six.
Season six provides a hell of a lot of forward momentum for the main characters of Orange Is the New Black. Among the Litchfield inmates, Sophia (Laverne Cox) has one of the happier storylines. She's released early and given a $300,000 payment from Linda and MCC. Of course, the money is a bribe so that Sophia wouldn't join Caputo's lawsuit against the company, but she is still able to leave prison and return to her family. And as Sophia explains to Caputo, she can use that money to send her son to college. (Money trouble is what lands Sophia in prison in the first place, so her story's ending makes sense.)
The question is: will Sophia return to OITNB for season seven, considering she's no longer an inmate? Things could really go either way. Aleida, for instance, is released from Litchfield before the riot, and Elizabeth Rodriguez's character has remained a part of the show. Taystee is released in the very first season but returns shortly after and continues to be a part of the show. Even Alex is released for a time, and she is obviously back in Litchfield. But Sophia's story has a sense of closure that none of those characters seemed to have.
For her part, Cox doesn't appear to have weighed in on whether she'd return to the show in the next season. Cox has signed on for a YouTube Red series called Weird City, alongside Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and LeVar Burton. She's busy, but she's also managed to appear on several shows during her stint on OITNB.
If Sophia does return in the next season, she likely wouldn't have a central role - but maybe she could come back for one or two episodes, possibly in a flashback involving another inmate. Fans will have to wait to see whether or not this is the end of Sophia's story. But if it is, at least she secured a fairly happy ending and the possibility of a better future.

I Found a Concealer That Instantly Erases My Under-Eye Bags
When it comes to concealer, I've always had trouble finding a product that truly covers my under-eye bags. Most options crease, come right off, or just don't have enough coverage. Then, a makeup artist applied Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Undereye Concealer ($31) to my face. I was in total awe. With a few taps of the product, those pesky bags instantly vanished.
The long-wear waterproof formula stays on from morning till night - I never have to reapply. Its silky consistency melts right into my skin for a natural look that isn't cakey or drying. Still not sold? Just check out the amazing reviews on Nordstrom. Of the 375 customers who reviewed the product, almost all of them give it a perfect five stars.
"To date the best full coverage concealer I've found," one buyer wrote. "Does not crease or get blotchy as the day goes on. I have terrible undereye circles and this covers them almost perfectly. I have tried just about every high-end and drugstore brand concealer and this is by far the best."
Consider your hunt over. Once you get your hands on this formula, you'll never want to try anything else again. I promise.

Do Heavier Weights Burn More Fat? A Trainer Answers
Knowing the right weights to use for which workout can be a challenge, especially when you're trying to match the equipment to your fitness goals. If you're wondering whether heavier weights equal greater fat burn, we reached out to Clarence Hairston, IGNITE master trainer, NASM certified personal trainer, and AGM of Fitness at The Bay Club Company. The question makes sense to ask - heavier weights equal more effort, which should result in greater burn. But the answer isn't that simple.
According to Clarence, "there really is no clear answer" as "both heavier and lighter weights will help you burn fat." The determining factors, however, are based on how much effort you put in and what your goals are. "If you are looking to build strength and muscle, take that weight up and push yourself," he told POPSUGAR. "If you are looking to tone or build lean muscle, try a lower weight with higher reps."
You can also do a combination of both as we've discussed before. Performing an exercise with a heavy weight and low reps (up to six) and then another exercise that targets the same muscle group with higher reps (up to 12) and a lighter weight can be an effective way to shed fat.
But keep in mind that you won't be doing yourself any favors by going too light, either. If you're able to swing the weight around, if you don't feel your muscles contracting, or you're just not seeing results, you're likely not lifting heavy enough.

The Ridiculously Cheap, Easy Trick That's Kept My Year-Old White Sneakers Looking New
Last Spring, I splurged on a pair of white-on-white Alexander McQueen sneakers. (I'd had my eye on them for months! They were more than half off! I'm good at justifying my shopping habit!) Yet the minute I hit "confirm" on the Zappos Couture order page, I felt a sense of impending dread. Why? I knew I'd wear the hell out of the shoes. Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers of all time; I once waited in line for more than three hours on a grimy-hot NYC Summer day to get into the Savage Beauty exhibition at the Met. My dog's name is even Dean McQueen, partly as an ode to Alexander. I was infatuated with the brand's modern riff on classic shell-toe styling, the unique rose-gold accent at the heel, and the platform sole that my best friend's husband would soon compare to "nursing shoes." But I was also worried about keeping them looking pristine - or even marginally clean, for that matter.
The shoes, as currently pictured on the Alexander McQueen website.
I'd seen videos about luxe, white-glove shoe cleaning services that promised to baby your footwear for a hefty fee. But I'd already dropped a major chunk of change on the shoes to begin with. I could try to avoid wearing them while driving, but I live in LA - I'm always driving. Aside from keeping these sneakers wrapped in the box, never to see the light of day, I needed to find a realistic way to keep them looking sparkly. That's when I divulged my new purchase to my sister, Courtney. She had one question: "Have you ever used Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on your shoes?" No. No, I had not. Courtney revealed that they were a weird but surefire way to keep shoes tidy. But would they damage the leather? No. Could I also use them on the soles? Yes. Should I get them wet like I did before using them to descuff the walls in my house? Of course.
I was floored when the marks disappeared - and even more astonished to find that there was no wear or damage to the leather itself.
Somewhat skeptically, I bought a new package of Magic Erasers on my next trip to the drugstore. I'd been wearing the sneaks almost every single day for about a week, and while they were still nearly stark white, I was dismayed by a few little black streaks on the insides of the uppers. There was also a little gray discoloration on one of the heels that, I was certain, was caused by rubbing against the floor mats in my car as I drove. I wet the sponge and cringed while daintily scrubbing the very expensive leather in minuscule circles. I was floored when the marks disappeared - and even more astonished to find that there was no wear or damage to the leather itself. When it worked to almost completely erase the sad, gray coating on the heel, too, you could have knocked me over with . . . a Magic Eraser, I guess.
The author modeling her year-plus-old sneakers.
It's been a year and two months since I first bought these stunners, and this is what they still look like today. Pretty remarkable if you ask me, a woman who is prone to spilling paneer masala on her shoes, scuffing them against all manner of curbs while tripping, and generally making a mess of herself and all of her belongings. Every few weeks, I break out a Magic Eraser, tackle any and all errant smudges and scuffs, and voila: pretty much good as new. I've since tried this trick on mules, pumps, and other pairs of sneakers. So far, I've had across-the-board success using it on genuine leather, though it seems to be a no-go for faux leather and other materials like canvas or mesh.
So, no - I didn't edit these photos at all except to autocorrect the levels. No patching, Facetuning, Photoshopping, or other tricky moves have been deployed to make my beloved McQueens look somehow cleaner than they are. One caveat: Magic Erasers don't work on shoelaces, and, in my experience, neither does the washing machine. So I did purchase a new pair of fresh, thick white laces (for a grand total of $3) about six months ago when the originals got a little dingy. Otherwise, I've probably used the equivalent of two packages of Magic Erasers regularly tidying up my shoes. I'd say spending an average of $6 per year to keep a pair of shoes that are currently selling for $575 in mint condition qualifies as a trick for the ages, wouldn't you?
How My Experience With an IUD Helped Me Learn How to Listen to My Body
"I think I'd like to get an IUD," I said to my gynecologist four years ago during an annual check-up. She peered over her glasses and my legs in the stirrups. I still remember a flicker of hesitation in her face before she asked me if there was something wrong with the current method of birth control I was using: condoms. No, I would not let her talk me out of this - my body, my choice. If I wanted to have condomless, pregnancy-free sex with my long-term partner, I should be allowed to do so! Plus, I would kind of also be saving the environment by not using condoms. It was a win-win-win!
In all seriousness, the IUD (intrauterine device) is not only a powerful form of birth control - according to Planned Parenthood, it boasts over a 99 percent effectiveness rate - but it's also just easier than remembering to take the pill every day. For women with heavy flow and/or painful periods, a hormonal IUD can help manage and alleviate pain. The only real downside, it would seem, is that it doesn't protect against STDs.
My gynecologist suggested the levonorgestrel-releasing Skyla, which is marketed as a "smaller" version of the Mirena. It lasts up to three years, compared to Mirena's five years. I made the appointment, and in less than a minute, the Skyla was inserted and I was ready to go about my day. Thankfully, I didn't experience the cramping that some women have reported feeling, and I didn't even spot that much. It was as if nothing had changed.
I should pause here to give you context. During this time, I was enrolled in an intensive drama conservatory and working in a toxic work environment. For those of you unfamiliar with the emotional roller coaster of a conservatory, this is generally what happens: the teachers break down all your defenses and bad habits, in hopes that you will come out a sensitive, all-feeling artist. If you've ever wondered why good actors tend to be a little - well, how can I put this lightly? - dramatic, this is most likely why. So any mood changes or emotional turbulence I may have felt during this period I wrote off as part of my artistic journey, on top of working full-time in a less-than-ideal environment.
Fast-forward three years, and my Skyla was about to expire. I had already left a bad job, I had a new gynecologist (because of new health insurance), and I opted to get another one. It worked pretty well the first time, so I didn't see why it would change the second time around. Again, in less than a minute, a brand-new Skyla was inserted, but this time, something felt off. I felt anxious all the time, and I felt like I was always on the verge of tears. In a month, leaving my apartment suddenly felt unsafe. When my coworkers at my new job (which I loved) would smile and genuinely ask, "How are you?" I felt like I would just start weeping. I genuinely did not feel OK. I told my therapist this, and she also decided it could just be stress. And when I told my gynecologist during a routine check-up, she said that it was not possible that the IUD could be affecting me.
I brushed it off. But deep down, I knew this was to a whole other level. I started developing panic attacks on a regular basis, where I would completely depersonalize (in other words, be completely out of my body). After Anthony Bourdain's sudden death, I was jolted back to reality. The same night, I suffered one of the worst panic attacks of my life. For hours, I could not stop crying. In fact, I cried so much that I threw up. That's when I knew that it was time to get to the root cause of this.
I did extensive research on the gut-brain connection and started trying different diets, even the keto diet, all the while working with a nutritionist. I started exercising even more. And I even stopped caffeine for a while. But finally, it all traced back to my IUD. I reached out to another doctor for a second opinion.
When she confirmed that hormonal IUDs could, in fact, affect mood, I felt a huge wave of relief that I had not felt in almost half a year wash over me. In 2016, the University of Copenhagen released a rigorous study that linked modern birth control and depression. Over the years, I had heard anecdotes from other women that hormonal birth control made them feel depressed or anxious, yet this was the first study that seemed to validate those stories. Even as I researched more, there were no real studies done between mental health and hormonal IUDs. Yet, without a second thought, I had opted to get one right away.
In the end, after six months of torturous anxiety and depression, I decided to have my IUD removed. Upon removal, my gynecologist admitted that the hormones could very well have affected me, and I wondered why she didn't believe me the first time. But I also wondered why there have been so many stories from women who have been similarly affected by their hormonal IUDs, yet so little research has been done on it within the scientific community. Since its removal, I can say that I feel like myself again and the levels of anxiety have notably decreased. Others may argue it's merely a placebo and all in my head. Of course, everybody is different, and there could have been numerous factors playing into how this type of birth control affected me. But I listened to my body and made the decision that was right for me. Again, my body, my choice.

Love Island Is Your Next Reality Obsession - Don't Even Try to Fight It
CBS is the original home of American reality TV, as the network that brought us such icons as Survivor and Big Brother. In recent years, though, it's ceded its throne to a slew of talent- and dating-based reality competitions. With the announcement that the network has acquired the rights to Love Island, however, it looks like the Eye network is back with a vengeance! If you're wondering if this show is for you - or what all the fuss is about - we've got all the info you need.
The Premise
No, it's not a remake of The Love Boat but set on an island. Essentially, it's a bit of a blend between Survivor and The Bachelor. Contestants are sent to a tropical island for the duration of the show, where they have to pair up in order to avoid elimination. Episodes revolve around a wide variety of tasks, from strategy games to romantic ones. All the while, home audiences vote live on eliminations. It's an import from the UK's ITV2 network, where it's aired five seasons and counting.
Watch If You Like . . .
Would you enjoy Love Island? Well, that depends. Do you have very strong opinions about who gets the roses on The Bachelor, and then follow your faves over to Bachelor in Paradise? Do you secretly (or not-so-secretly) love the cheesy competitions on Big Brother? Do you love voting for your favorites on The Voice and Dancing With the Stars? Do you still miss the beloved reality shows Paradise Hotel and Temptation Island?
If any of these are a "yes" for you, then Love Island might be for you! Although there's a "game" component to the show, it's the "finding love" part that's the main focus - think Bachelor in Paradise or Are You The One?.
Why People Are Buzzing
At first glance, it might seem like Love Island is just another in a long line of dating reality shows. We've got plenty of those, so what sets this one apart? According to David George, CEO of ITV's American branch, it's the show's unique blend of romance, strategy, and audience interactivity. Have you ever wanted to "vote off" that one really annoying contestant on The Bachelorette? This show gives you a chance to do something pretty similar, with audiences voting on some of the eliminations.
"As a format, Love Island breaks the mold with high levels of viewer interactivity and participation that influence the content of the show in a way that's extremely addictive."
Besides the format of the show, it's coming to America with a history that's nothing to sniff at. The British version has lasted for five seasons, with more to come, and is the most-watched program in ITV2's history. (It's also on several nights a week, so it's quite a time investment.) Contestants on the UK version have become pop culture celebrities, and watching the show live has become something of a national phenomenon. It's easy to imagine American audiences reacting the same way!
A debut for Love Island has yet to be announced. In the meantime, you can catch up on the UK version, streaming now on Hulu.

A Dog Completely Photobombed His Owners' Wedding - and This Needs to Be Framed
When photographer Chris Davis agreed to shoot his longtime friends' Angie Blumberg and Jayce Conway's wedding on July 28 in Big Sky, MT, he wasn't surprised that the couple requested ample photos of their 6-year-old Labrador Retriever, Boone. But little did the bride and groom know that capturing the perfect shot would be a heck of a lot easier than they imagined.
"Boone is such a good dog and a huge part of Jayce and Angie's life, so I think it would have been more surprising if he wasn't at the altar by their side on their big day," Chris told POPSUGAR.

As soon as the festivities ended, Chris made a beeline back to his room to see how the photos of Boone turned out - and let's just say this shot, in particular, did not disappoint.
"After I got back to my room after the reception, I was backing up my photos and giving a cursory glance at some of the key moments, and this was the first photo that I went to look for and was so excited that it turned out as well as it did," said Chris. "I immediately texted Jayce and Angie this photo, and they later told me that Angie would spontaneously erupt into giggles throughout the night when thinking about the photo."
"He just couldn't resist going over to say 'Hi!'"
Although Boone was the best man on paper, Jayce joked that his brother needed to step in to deliver the best man speech.
"He's a really well-trained dog," Jayce told Today. "I planned for him to stand between me and my brother. Boone was technically the best man, but he couldn't really give a speech, so I thought I should give my brother a shot."
Apparently, Boone was so overwhelmed by the fact that his owners were finally getting hitched, he had to interrupt to congratulate his mama.
"While everyone in the procession walked down the aisle, he stayed in his spot, exactly where he was supposed to be," said Jayce, explaining that, "until he saw Angie, and then he just couldn't resist going over to say 'Hi!'"
Angie added that the pair wasn't at all fazed by Boone's sudden desire to be in the spotlight: "During the ceremony, he decided to walk to the middle and roll happily in the grass a few times."
All we can say is congrats to the happy couple, and keep doin' you, Boone!

Available at 1-877-7-MICKEY, the hotline will only be open for a limited time from Aug. 6 until Aug. 31. The hope is that it will help kids get acclimated to their new, earlier bedtimes following the likely looser bedtime routines they might have had in the Summer.
Upon calling, parents are prompted with a menu that allows you to choose which classic character your child would like to hear from. It's a substantial message, too! If you select to hear from Minnie, for example, she'll tell you about her busy day in the garden, and Goofy will go on about his day fishing and playing basketball (and to get even more in the Disney spirit, you can grab your kiddo a new set of PJs featuring one of their favorite characters).
The hotline has generated so much buzz, in fact, that it was even mentioned during a recent taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Kristen Bell. Since the Frozen actress's Princess Anna is not featured in the sleep hotline, the late-night host had her record her own bedtime message. Let's just say it went a little differently than the messages you might find on the hotline.

14 Healthy Lobster Recipes You Need to Try Before Summer Is Done
Lobster may be known as the quintessential menu item for extravagant evenings, but many don't realize there are also plenty of ways to make the shellfish work for a weeknight dinner or Summer cookout. But, beware, though it's an excellent source of protein, lobster's nutritional value can be masked by the mayonnaise it's often prepared with for salads and rolls. Though mayonnaise is OK in moderation, there are countless options for preparing lobster that don't involve the heavy condiment.
We've gathered healthy recipes that bring out the best in lobster. Use these dishes to impress your guests at your next gathering or to simply surprise your family next time you all sit down to dinner.
Can Collagen-Infused Clothing Really Help Your Skin?
Our bodies produce collagen - the protein that binds tissues together to strengthen and tighten the skin - every day. Still, how much we produce decreases as we age, which is why the ingredient has been pumped into everything from tea to lip balm. In the hopes of better skin, people prick, prod, and laser their faces in an effort to boost collagen production, or they pay for pricey serums that promise to do the same. Now one clothing brand wants in on the action. Seattle-based clothing line Buki sells a collagen collection of all-black utilitarian-chic tops. The aesthetic is cool and low-key, like something a coffee barista might wear on the weekends. But the question remains: can a v-neck really help your skin?Buki cofounder Joey Rodolfo was happy to list off all the ways it might. "We embed collagen peptides in the fabric fibers to help reduce dehydration, which leaves the skin feeling fresh all day," he said. "It also works as a natural deodorizer to suppress undesirable odor and body perspiration." Perhaps best of all, the clothing is UV-protected with an SPF of 50, so you won't have to worry about getting a sunburn.
But my pessimistic yia yia and countless naysayers before her have warned: if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Is that the case here? According to dermatologist Dr. Robert Finney, MD, probably. "Adding a small amount of collagen to clothing will not do anything to your skin," he said. "While collagen mixed with lotion and applied directly to your skin can be a good moisturizer, in general, collagen is too large of a molecule to be absorbed and make any difference in antiaging."
This fabric is softer than my too-sensitive ex's fragile feelings.
Despite his skepticism, as soon as I felt the Buki Scoop Neck ($158), I wanted to put it on, live in it forever, and call up my lawyer to make sure she puts in my will to bury me in it. The material is one of the softest I've ever felt - softer than a Siberian kitten, my face after a chemical peel, and my too-sensitive ex's fragile feelings. Combined. While even thinking about wearing long sleeves in NYC's current 98-degree weather leaves me feeling like a steamed pork dumpling, I was happy to put this shirt on in the comfort of my air-conditioned apartment. It's so cozy, I even fell asleep in it. Usually when I wake up, I rise to realize that my peaceful slumber has unleashed the floodgates that are my armpits. But this shirt left my pits noticeably drier. I didn't notice any skin rejuvenating - I've still got bacne and my tummy isn't any tighter - but Buki's founder didn't promise that this shirt would be a wearable fountain of youth. He said it would be a soft way to quell stink and sweat, and it is. When I wore this shirt, I didn't wake up in the morning feeling like P. Sh*tty, and that's enough for me.

Why I'm Saying No to "Healthy Ice Cream" and Just Eating the Full-Fat Thing
About a year ago, my Instagram feed just about exploded with ads for lightened-up versions of ice cream. Then, my friends joined in, going crazy for said ice cream, claiming it tasted amazing and just as good as the real thing.
Most brands promised you could eat the whole pint of ice cream for less than 300 calories, and some even said their product was high in protein and "good for you." As someone who loves ice cream (really, desserts in general), yet strives to maintain healthy eating habits, I was intrigued and skeptical at the same time. Could they really be that good, and are they really healthy? I went ahead and gave a few of these ice cream pints a try, buying some of my usual favorite flavors, like birthday cake and salted caramel.
The first red flag came when I took a birthday-cake-flavored pint out of the freezer for the first bite. The ice cream was hard as a brick and impossible to scoop out without waiting 15 minutes or more. I complained about this on Twitter and a brand actually answered, confirming that it's due to the light ice cream's lower fat and sugar content and suggesting I put the pint upside down in the microwave for a few seconds.
The consistency and flavor of the "healthy" ice cream were more watery than creamy, and it definitely didn't taste "natural." Instead, it tasted like watered-down chemicals that really weren't all that sweet. I finished off that pint in one sitting anyway, because, at only 300 calories, that's what you're supposed to do, right? I guess I had some false hope that it would taste better by the time I was done. Not only did I not feel like I'd eaten something healthy, I didn't even feel like I'd indulged in a treat.
As it turns out, my suspicions about the ice cream's fake-tasting flavor and concerns on its ingredients weren't too far off. While most of these light ice creams do contain core ingredients found in regular ice cream (such as milk, cream, and eggs), some have also added fiber, milk protein concentrate, and, in place of regular sugar, sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit extract and erythritol (a type of sugar alcohol). That explains the less-than-satisfying flavor and texture I experienced.
Sweeteners like erythritol are also known to cause gas and bloating, which could leave you feeling unwell after polishing off a pint. And while the ingredients in place of sugar and extra fat aren't necessarily bad, they don't automatically make these ice creams healthy.
"At the end of the day, these added ingredients make for ice cream that has fewer calories and less fat and sugar, but they add no nutritional value," said Catherine Kruppa, MS, RD, CSSD, LD, a registered dietitian at Advice for Eating in Houston. "A lot of these light ice creams also add extra protein and fiber to their products, which, sure, might make you feel fuller faster, but still don't make them an actual health food. Most Americans get enough fiber and protein in their diets already and certainly don't need to be getting them from ice cream."
While these ice cream pints advertise on the front of their packaging that you can eat the whole pint, the nutrition label on the back still lists a traditional serving size as half a cup (about the size of a scoop).
It's called the Snackwells effect (referring to the fat-free cookies and cakes that gained popularity in the '90s). "Just because you're given free rein to enjoy more in one serving doesn't mean you're going to feel as satisfied as you might when you enjoy a normal-sized serving of a scoop of regular ice cream," Kruppa said.
Eating just 300 calories of dessert doesn't sound bad, but that doesn't mean its the healthiest option. "It's low-calorie, but that doesn't mean you should eat however many pints of ice cream you want a day. You still want to get healthy foods into your diet for nutrients, vitamins, and minerals," added Starla Garcia, M.Ed, RDN, LD, a registered dietitian in Houston. "Sometimes having diet foods around and indulging in them can still lead to feelings of deprivation."
At the end of the day, ice cream is likely not something you indulge in every single day of your life, so when the mood strikes, Kruppa and Garcia agree, it's OK to live a little and enjoy a scoop (or two) of the real thing for a total of 150 to 200 calories.
"If you really want to eat something healthy in place of a sweet like ice cream, you're better off eating something that's actually wholesome and healthy, like fruit. If you really want ice cream, go ahead and have a small amount of the regular thing," Kruppa said. I agree - life's too short for fake ice cream.
You'll LOL When You Hear Kristen Bell's Message as Princess Anna For Kids Who Need to Go to Bed
Disney Store recently shared news of its new sleep hotline parents can call so kids can get messages from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, or Goofy before bed each night. Jimmy Kimmel was curious as to why Kristen Bell wasn't asked to record a message as Frozen's Princess Anna, so he made her record one that he wrote himself - and you'll crack up when you hear it.
"Disney is now putting kids to sleep. Do you have trouble putting your kids to sleep?" Jimmy asks Kristen, who responds: "Oh yeah, sometimes I lock the door. But I tell them I lock it."
Surprised that Princess Anna, one of the most popular Disney characters of all time, isn't on the sleep hotline service, Jimmy asks Kristen if she can record a message as Anna for his kids. "This message is kind of specific for my kids, but I think it'll apply to any kid. If you just tape it, we'll have them put it on the [service]," he says.
As "Do You Want to Build a Snowman"s music begins playing, Kristen sings the message:
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Well too bad, your parents are exhausted,
GO TO SLEEP.
Message sent and received, Princess.
Princess Diana's Last Hours Were Spent Here, and Thousands Still Visit to Pay Tribute to Her
Two decades on from her death, the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, still lingers. This Summer, thousands of people will leave tributes to her at the Pont de l'Alma in Paris, near the spot where the princess was badly injured in a car crash leading to her passing just hours later. Flowers and photos lie 'round the famous torch, which has become a memorial to the much-loved royal who died in the French capital on Aug. 31, 1997.
Diana spent her last day in Paris, flying in from Sardinia with Dodi Al Fayed on Aug. 30. The couple had been holidaying on the French and Italian Riviera aboard his father's yacht, the Jonikal, their every move followed by photographers. They headed to the Ritz Hotel, located on the central Place Vendome and also owned by Dodi's father, Mohammed al Fayed. By the time they settled into a late dinner, the famous hotel was surrounded by crowds and press. Just after midnight, with a decoy car diverting photographers at the front of the Ritz, they got into a black Mercedes Benz S280 waiting for them at the back to travel to another Fayed property in Paris.
The deputy head of security at the Ritz, Henri Paul, was at the wheel as the car left the Rue Cambon and crossed the Place de la Concorde. Photographers were already following as the vehicle headed along the Cours la Reine, running alongside the Seine, and continued along the embankment. The car was speeding as it entered the Pont de l'Alma tunnel where, within seconds, it had collided with the 13th pillar. Henri and Dodi were killed instantly.
The princess was still conscious, and the ambulance called to take her to hospital traveled slowly through the French capital to allow doctors to treat her. It stopped for several minutes in front of the Jardin des Plantes for medics to treat the princess. Soon afterward, they arrived at the Pitié-Salpetrière Hospital on the Ile de France, where the full extent of Diana's injuries was discovered. Diana had suffered a large tear to the superior pulmonary vein where it entered her heart. She was pronounced dead at the hospital just after 4 a.m. on the morning of Aug. 31.
Her sister, Lady Sarah McCorquadale, traveled to Paris with Prince Charles to accompany Diana's body home. Even as they landed at RAF Northolt, floral tributes were being left at Diana's home at Kensington Palace. The princess's coffin was taken to London and the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace, where her sons, William and Harry, said their last farewells before her funeral at Westminster Abbey on Sept. 6. Diana's hearse was showered with flowers as thousands lined her funeral route. Her last journey ended at her family home, Althorp House, where she was buried on a small island. Her grave is private and only accessible to family, but public tributes continue to pile up in Paris at the place her story came to an end.
Here's the Exact Time You’ll Be Able to Binge Ozark Season 2
Have you been anxiously waiting to dive back into the dark world of the Byrde family? Has your Summer been incomplete without watching the clan navigate the troubling world of money laundering and drug cartels in the Missouri Ozarks?
Well, you don't have to wait much longer, because Ozark season two will be dropping in just a few short weeks. Look for season two on Netflix on Friday, Aug. 31, and get ready for an all-nighter; although Netflix hasn't officially announced the exact moment, it's most probable that season two will drop that date at 3 a.m. ET/midnight PT - which is the time Netflix makes the majority of its original series releases available for streaming.
Although cast members have been tight-lipped on what to expect from the new season, we do know that the majority of the original cast are set to return, including Arrested Development's Jason Bateman, who scored an Emmy nomination for his role as Marty Byrde on Ozark, and his onscreen wife, three-time Oscar nominee Laura Linney, who plays Wendy Byrde. One big addition to the cast is British actress Janet McTeer (Me Before You, The Woman in Black) as a "Chicago based attorney with links to the cartel," according to Netflix.
20+ Vegetarian Meals You Can Pop in the Freezer For Ultimate Convenience
I'm a big fan of spending my Sunday afternoons meal prepping for the week. It gives me something to do, plus I thoroughly hate cooking during the week after I get home from work. Witches and Wizards, You'll Wish You Could Apparate to This Harry Potter Wedding!
Two years ago, Veronica and John met after a mutual friend started a Facebook singles group and connected the two online.
"Their first date was at The Shannon Rose in Woodbridge," the photographer said. "And the couple knew after that date that there was definitely something special about to bloom. They were engaged at that same location just one year later, in the same booth where they first had dinner. The restaurant had become their "Cheers" where they often dined and celebrated, so having a wedding there seemed appropriate."
Veronica and John's wedding was Harry Potter-themed - "crazy and creative," according to the photographer.
"Both [are] huge Harry Potter fans, [so] they knew they wanted to do something different and unique," the photographer said.
NO detail was forgotten at the couple's lavish affair.
"From a Honeydukes candy cart to a dining room with floating candles like the Great Hall to being pronounced husband and wife by a minister holding an Elder Wand, their day was simply magical," the photographer said. See the magnificent photos ahead!
I Tried Pink Solution, and It Is the Best Cleaning Product
My aunt recommended I use Pink Solution to get some paint stains out of our carpet, since we were getting ready to sell our house. After a quick trip to the Costco roadshow, my mom and I discovered that it's also amazing for getting grease stains out and cleaning burnt pots and pans, and it can even be used for laundry. Pink Solution is also budget friendly and goes a long way. Starting from $13 for a 500ml bucket, it really is an incredible deal. We bought the combo pack, which included the stain removal bar as well. Definitely worth it.
Made from coconut oil, seaweed, and baking soda, it's all natural. You don't even have to worry about wearing gloves, as it is safe and gentle on hands. Not to mention, it never expires - so none should go to waste!
We had some bad grease that got cooked onto the kitchen cabinet doors. We tried Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, natural homemade cleaners, and even full-strength kitchen cleaners. Nothing worked. They only moved the grease around, changing the color from black to gray. With Pink Solution (applied without dilution), the grease wiped off super easily! The beauty is that one spray bottle works everywhere. All you need to do is combine the Pink Solution with water and shake it up. You can even choose whether to make a heavy or light mix.
When our contractor was replacing our kitchen hood fan, he tried it to clean up the cabinets next to the exhaust pipe vent. For the hundreds of hood fans that he's replaced over the years, he was never able to get the dirt off just like that before. He was truly impressed.
We rubbed the solution directly on the carpet using our hands and a sponge to get paint stains out of our carpet. It got the lighter stains out when nothing else could, and for the very heavy dark blue stains, it was able to significantly lighten up the color. We also used the solution to clean marks off doors, baseboards, window frames, and walls, as well as to clean the shower. Truly the best cleaning product we've ever discovered.
Pink Solution is based in Vancouver, Canada, and currently doesn't ship outside Canada. If you live in the US, you can buy it from Care 4 Earth Products.
Yes! Sons of Anarchy Star Katey Sagal Will Appear on Mayans MC
From the moment the Sons of Anarchy spinoff series was announced, diehard fans like me had one very important question in mind: will our favorite characters appear on the new show, Mayans MC? Well, good news: creator Kurt Sutter revealed that there will definitely be some Sons of Anarchy "Easter eggs" in the show - and, yes, some of the Sons of Anarchy characters will appear on Mayans MC thanks to flashback scenes.
Which Sons of Anarchy Stars Will Be on Mayans MC?
Sutter hasn't shared too many details about who and what from Sons will make its way into the new series, but we won't have to wait too long to see a fan favorite appear on the spinoff! According to Entertainment Weekly, he recently told reporters at the Television Critics press tour that Katey Sagal will appear in the series premiere as Gemma on Sept. 4. "It's a flashback to eight years ago, and a way of letting us know that he's in Stockton where the two worlds will collide, at least in memory," he said.
Will Charlie Hunnam Make a Mayans MC Cameo?
Mayans MC is set in the aftermath of Sons of Anarchy, and the show centers around Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes (JD Pardo), a Mayans MC prospect. The two charters share a relationship, but as Sutter revealed to reporters, fans shouldn't expect the new characters to chat about Jax Teller. "I don't want to mess with that mythology," he explained. "That mythology can live in imagination. But flashbacks wouldn't be stepping on what is happening now."
OK, so they may not be sitting around talking about Jax, but it sounds like there may be room for a flashback moment. I can't help it - my hopes for a Charlie Hunnam cameo are officially VERY HIGH.
Check out the trailer for Mayans MC, plus other shows to watch if you love Sons of Anarchy.

Did Kris Jenner Confirm Her Engagement to Corey Gamble While Playing Spill Your Guts?
Kris Jenner may or may not have admitted her engagement to boyfriend Corey Gamble during a game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" on The Late Late Show With James Corden. The KUWTK producer joined the late-night host for some lighthearted interrogation, and one of the questions really caught Kris off guard.
When asked the question: "You've been spotted wearing a massive diamond ring on your wedding finger, are you and Corey Gamble engaged?" Kris refused to answer and instead picked up the cricket forfeit ready to chow down. But then James pointed out "the ring is right there, it's a real giveaway." Kris had an answer for this, too, but James was ready with a comeback that resulted in a truly priceless reaction. So, are wedding bells ringing? We'll just have to wait and see. But one thing we know by now is that the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder, and she does everything for a reason.
Tom Hardy, Good Samaritan, Cannot Get Through an Interview Without Stopping to Help Someone
Tom Hardy, accidental superhero, has once again come to the aid of a member of the public in London. Last year, the actor famously made a citizen's arrest after chasing and detaining a moped thief. More recently, he found himself pausing an interview after finding a woman bleeding on the street. Tom was giving an Esquire writer a tour of the area of South West London where he grew up, when they came across the woman, who'd tripped while walking her dog. "I know her," the actor realized, as he went to the aid of what turned out to be the mother of one of his childhood friends. After seeing her into an ambulance and consoling his friend (who quickly arrived at the scene), Tom joked to the interviewer, "Welcome to my neighborhood. I told you there's always something to find behind the Laura Ashley curtains."
Tom is notoriously private about his life (we still don't know the name or gender of his child with wife Charlotte Riley), but we can add this to the list of sweet (and funny) moments we've been treated to over the years. We're addicted to his Instagram and his unique use of hashtags, we have listened to his 1999 rap mixtape on repeat, and we couldn't help but swoon over that unforgettable bedtime story. This guy really is the gift that keeps on giving.
