What It's REALLY Like to Get a Penis Enhancement

Even if you don't have a penis, it's easy to feel titillated at the thought of penis filler. Yes, it's a real thing used to increase girth. And according to some, it's life-changing. We spoke to one anonymous man who subjected his penis to the procedure. Read on for the hard facts, as told to POPSUGAR.

I have always wanted to have a more appealing penis. Most of my life, my penis was considered average, maybe slightly above average, but only when I was erect. So somewhere along the line, I started to think: "OK, how do I go about getting that?"

I have several female friends who have gone through breast augmentation. I don't know what it's like to be a woman, but I am sure they face pressure to look like the perfectly styled, airbrushed images of femininity you see in magazines. I think we've evolved so that we talk about that problem today.

In my opinion, we don't really do the same for men. How your penis looks - its size, girth, whether it's circumcised or not - is supposed to portray a man's virility. Men look at theirs and wonder, "Am I masculine or not? Is it big enough? Will it perform?" I would say the porn industry most often shows well-endowed men, so I think that also influences how certain people view penis size.

I don't think it's right for someone to undergo a procedure like this because a significant other pressures them to.

I've been happily partnered for more than 13 years. When I was first considering this procedure, I asked my partner, "I'd like to be bigger. Are you cool with that?" He responded, "Sure. That's perfectly fine. It works great, but if that's what you want, let's talk about what you have in mind." I think if you want to do something from an aesthetic perspective, you should do it for your own reasons. I don't think it's right for someone to undergo a procedure like this because a significant other pressures them to.

I began Google searching for different options. There are essentially three ways to add girth. Two of the options involve surgical procedures, and one of those specifically uses cadaver tissues. The doctor actually takes dead tissue and puts it into the internal cavity between your penile duct's fascia and your skin. If you Google it, it looks pretty horrific. The other way involves cutting the pubic ligament open. The pubic ligament is a part of the organ that's helpful for achieving an erection, so I didn't want to harm that. I started thinking: my penis is my friend. It's been my friend for a very long time, and I want to keep being friends with it going forward. So I began looking at filler, because it sounded less invasive.

There are generally two kinds of filler. One is much more permanent, and it involves a dermal filler that has microspheres: tiny plastic spheres that stay in the area after the filler is absorbed. That means you have to get plastic embedded into your skin, so any irregularity, deformity, or shifting that could be a side effect of that has to be addressed with further surgery. I wasn't comfortable with the safety of that.

My penis is my friend. It's been my friend for a very long time, and I want to keep being friends with it going forward.

I found Dr. David Shafer, who works out of New York City. He uses a balloon-like filler, which stays for two years, after which it fully degrades into the body. It's nonpermanent. He uses Voluma XC, which has a hyaluronic acid base. It is similar to lip fillers. Should you need to reverse the injection, you can use an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is naturally found in the body. That option hit all the important marks I was looking for. It's safe, reversible, and noninvasive, and there is a very limited potential exposure to infection as a result. I should mention that this is the most expensive of any of the options, given the product and volume that's required, but it felt well worth the benefits and lower risk.

When I met Dr. Shafer, we discussed what I wanted to do, along with the reasoning behind it. He said that if I chose to go through with the procedure, we could stop at any time. I decided to do it. The appointment began with a topical cream that numbed the penis. It took about 10 to 15 minutes. After that, the doctor gave me a shot of local anesthesia, which I would liken to getting a shot of Novacaine at the dentist. As we waited for that to take effect, the doctor checked for sensations to make sure I couldn't feel anything.

During the injection, I felt some pulling, tugging, and maybe a little bit of pinching.

During the injection, I felt some pulling, tugging, and maybe a little bit of pinching. But that was it. It felt pretty painless. I immediately saw a result, and I said, "Wow. OK. That's quite a difference." There was a small amount of bruising at first, but that went away after three to four days. Then off to the races.

After the procedure, it certainly became more pleasing to play with myself and my partner. The extra girth adds a little bit more heft to the mix. At my age, I don't compare myself to men at the gym. That said, I'm not ashamed anymore, either. The first time I had sex after the procedure, there was a lot of excitement. It felt like a fuller experience, and it felt great to please my partner in a new way.

Since this is a dissolvable filler, I intend to keep seeing Dr. Shafer for injections. Obviously, there's a significant cost involved. I happen to be in a position where I can afford that cost. I would consider it a luxury. Champagne, caviar, Maserati, Voluma XC. Every five years, I buy a nice watch, or a pair of Ferragamo shoes. This is the same kind of investment piece.

I would consider it a luxury. Champagne, caviar, Maserati, Voluma XC.

I think any man who is thinking about getting a penis enhancement is going to begin with Google searching. When you're on the internet, you see everything and anything. You start looking at procedures, images, side effects - most of it is just horrific. This is an underdeveloped area of plastic surgical medicine. It reminds me of the early days of silicone implants. Now, breast augmentation has been pretty much perfected, but you used to hear stories of implants that were breaking and women having to remove tissue.

There's so much misinformation out there about penis fillers. I think the most important thing I want to emphasize for anyone who's considering it is to select a medical professional. This is not something you have done in the back room of a hair salon. But I think if you find the right doctor, it can really change your life for the better.

If You Have to Look Up This Crazy Rich Asians Actress, Where Have You Been?

The cast of Crazy Rich Asians has a mix of unfamiliar actors (it's the leading man's first film role!) and established fan favorites like Awkwafina and Constance Wu. But if you're wondering why the actress playing Eleanor Young, the status-obsessed, interfering mother, looks so familiar, there's a pretty good reason. Several reasons, in fact!

Actress Michelle Yeoh is one of the most famous action heroines in film history. She made her debut in the 1980s in a series of Hong Kong martial arts films under the screen name Michelle Khan. Yeoh was a former beauty queen, but she was no delicate prima donna - she did most of her own stunts!

With that kind of action background, it's no surprise her breakout international role was as Wai Lin in the Pierce Brosnan-era James Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies. If you're wondering if she still did her own stunts on that movie, the answer is yes and no. She wasn't allowed to do the full-on stunt work, but because of her past work, she was able to perform her own fight choreography.

Yeoh went on to star in Ang Lee's 2000 classic Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She became one of Hollywood's go-to action ladies, with roles in other action/adventure franchises such as The Mummy. As a voice actor, she reprised her roles in those two films in their tie-in video games and also lent her voice to Kung Fu Panda 2.

In recent years, Yeoh turned her attention to TV, with roles in spy drama Strike Back and historical adventure Marco Polo. But you might recognize her from her most recent TV role on Star Trek: Discovery. On the series, she leads the way as Philippa Georgiou, a starship captain who continues Yeoh's tradition of playing women who can hold their own in a fight.

Eleanor Young might not whip out martial arts skills, but as Crazy Rich Asians fans know, a verbal sparring match with her will leave you just as defeated!

10 Workout Moves That Will Make You Want to Wear a Backless Dress Every Damn Day

You can do ab exercises all day, but if you want a strong core, you need to work your back, too. People confuse the core with abs, but in truth your abdominal muscles are just a part of the bigger picture: your core starts at your shoulders and ends at your hips, front and back, and all the way around.

If you overwork your abs without building up your back, you have created a muscle imbalance and become more prone to pain and injury. To help you work all of your upper body, try these 10 back exercises. The best part is you can do them at home with nothing more than a pair of hand weights.

Keep Bread Fresh (Practically) Forever With This Trick

Few things are sadder than tossing out a stale half-loaf of beautiful artisanal (or homemade) bread. The problem: said beautiful bread lacks the stabilizers present in commercial presliced loaves, and so it goes from rocking your world to rock-hard ridiculously fast. The solution: eat more bread a simple trick involving your freezer.

Here's what you should do:

  1. Within 24 hours (maximum) of cutting into a loaf, slice up the remaining bread. (Don't wait until it's already turned the corner; at that point, your best bet is giving leftovers a second life as croutons, breadcrumbs, or bread pudding.) Don't just stick the bread in the freezer unsliced. Unless your kitchen is equipped with a buzz saw, there's no chance you're going to be able to slice it without thawing the entire loaf first (trust us, we've tried).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper, arrange the slices in one layer on top of that, and put it in the freezer, uncovered, until frozen solid. (The parchment will prevent the gorgeous, moist crumb of the bread from sticking to the pan, and the single layer will prevent the slices from freezing stuck to each other.)
  3. Once the bread slices are frozen, transfer them to a resealable freezer bag, removing as much air from the bag as possible.
  4. When a bread craving hits, take out just as many slices of bread as you'll eat then, and either let them thaw at room temperature, or put them directly in the toaster (they'll take about one extra minute to toast). The texture of the bread will be about 95 percent as good as fresh bread and far better than second-day, already-starting-to-go-stale bread. Stored frozen (in a resealable freezer bag), sliced bread will stay fresh and delicious for at least six months, if not longer.

The Fascinating History Behind This $4 Mascara That Sells Every 2.5 Seconds

It goes without saying that beauty is not one size fits all, but there are certain products that just about everyone has tried at least once. Case in point? Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($4), that ubiquitous green and pink tube that's sold once every 2.5 seconds. It's the first beauty product for many, swept on in middle school locker rooms, college dorm rooms, the backs of Ubers, and bedrooms across the world.

Introduced in 1915, Great Lash quickly shot into icon status. The story begins in Chicago, when a chemist named Tom Lyle Williams decided to up his sister Maybel's beauty game. Maybel would coat her lashes in petroleum jelly and coal dust to enhance her look. Thankfully, Williams thought there must be a better product to slather above your eyes than a fossil fuel byproduct. He began developing Maybelline Cake Mascara, and within years, the product had gained cult status.

More than 50 years later, second-wave feminism was in full swing, and thanks to an increase in social activism and the passing of several equality laws, women were entering the workforce in droves. Those who wore makeup wanted an easy-to-use, everyday mascara that was as easy to apply as it was to take off. Enter Great Lash, the first water-based mascara, which required much less end-of-day scrubbing to fully remove. The tube we see today is extremely similar to its first iteration, and the pop art color scheme was super trendy for the early '70s.

Now, the formula comes in eight varieties, from black and brown to blue and clear. While it may not provide that showstopping, va-va-voom effect of other mascaras, Great Lash does its job - and then some - as a natural-looking, everyday option. And with 47 years as one of the bestselling beauty products in America, Great Lash is aging quite well indeed.

Lauren Conrad Revealed the 1 Pair of Jeans She Would Wear For the Rest of Her Life

I've admired Lauren Conrad, or LC as we all lovingly call her, since I was about 13. Everything from her style to her books made me want to know more. (If you haven't read her Fame Game series, you really haven't lived life, in my opinion.) So you better believe that I was full-on geekin' out when I had the opportunity to interview the starlet for the relaunch of her Kohl's x LC Lauren Conrad denim collection.

There were so many things I wanted to know: Does she look just as adorable in real life? (Spoiler alert: yes, more than you could possibly imagine.) Is she just as approachable as she seems? (Double yes!) How are her waves always so impeccable? (Fun fact: I complimented her perfect waves, and Lauren confessed that she forgot her products at home and had to water down her husband's hair gel, thus making her even more relatable.) Most importantly, I wanted to know how does she always manage to look so put together even in a simple pair of jeans?

If you've been keeping up with Lauren's style over the years, you've probably noticed that she's something of a denim expert, so it's only natural that her line with Kohl's would include jeans. The relaunched collection now features Lycra and four-way stretch fabric (hello, comfort!). Prices range from $50 to $64, and the affordable line is also size inclusive, which means both petite and curvy women can rock the same styles.

Since denim is such a huge part of our lives and Lauren's, I chatted with the designer to find out what's the one pair of jeans she would wear for the rest of her life: "I think I'm pretty committed to the skinny. I've been wearing it so long, and I don't think it's going anywhere. Obviously, the length is going to adjust a little bit, but skinny jeans for life," Lauren revealed. True to form, Lauren was wearing a pair of superflattering skinny jeans from her collection during the interview.

Here, celebrate Lauren's no-fail style as we take a look back at all of the times she has worn skinny jeans over the years. Then shop new pieces from her collection if you're feeling inspired ahead.

Here's How Long It Takes to Get a 6-Pack, According to This Celebrity Trainer

A six-pack may seem impossibly unattainable, but we promise you can get there with the right tips in your back pocket. As for how long it takes to see results, the answer really varies from person to person. It all depends on your body type and how much dedication you're willing to put in. According to celebrity trainer and BodyArmor Sports Drink spokesperson Don-A-Matrix, whose clientele includes stars like the Kardashians and Fergie, some may see changes in as little as a month, whereas others may need to stick to a strict regimen of diet and exercise for six months. Unfortunately, there isn't a single timeline that applies to everyone.

Personal trainer Lauren Clare always tells her clients that "abs are made in the kitchen." When it comes to decreasing body fat in your midsection, eating clean, whole foods and training regularly will help you make progress. Additionally, Lauren suggests working your abs in all directions, including flexion, extension, and core rotation.

Here are three moves that Don likes to incorporate into his ab workouts:

  • Mountain/step climber: "Using a Bosu ball, hold a plank position, with the dome side of the ball on the floor. Pushing your hands down on the platform, draw one knee in toward your chest and then extend back into the plank position. Repeat for the opposite leg and alternate for 20 to 30 reps."
  • Bosu crunch: "Place your lower back and butt on the Bosu ball. Bring your legs and chest upward while keeping your hands in a locked position on the floor. Repeat for 20 to 30 reps."
  • Bosu twist: "Sitting on the floor with your feet planted, hold the Bosu ball in your hands and lean back to a 45-degree angle. Twist to one side and lower the ball to the side. Then raise the ball back up to the middle. Repeat and alternate sides for 45 seconds."

Insecure's Nathan - aka "Lyft Bae" - Has Been in a Lot of Your Favorite Shows

Insecure fans let out an audible gasp when "Nathan with the face!" entered Issa and Molly's "party Lyft" during the season three premiere. Maybe it's his striking eyes, or his zero bullsh*t attitude with Issa's other passenger, but Nathan's character immediately stole our hearts. *Pauses TV, squints eyes, leans in.* Yeah, we've definitely seen him before, and could recognize that smile a mile away.

Actor Kendrick Sampson, aka "Lyft Bae," proves to be a total sweetheart on the HBO premiere, but he's actually been winning us over on the small screen since his role as Woodchuck on Greek in 2008. Sampson also starred as Jesse on The Vampire Diaries, Dean Iverson on Fox's Gracepoint, Caleb Hapstall on How to Get Away With Murder, Robbie (with a sexy British accent) on White Famous, Nate on Relationship Status, and of course, Dominic on The Flash. He's also had smaller roles on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Supernatural, and Days of Our Lives.

In addition to his list of acting feats, Sampson is an activist with an Instagram account filled with politically empowering posts and opinions that bring awareness to the issues surrounding our current government. He's vocal about Black Lives Matter, Keep Families Together, and more. Read on to see some of Sampson's gorgeous photos, and let us pray that Nathan has a recurring role on this season.

Liu Yifei Looks Ready For Battle in the First Look at Disney's Live-Action Mulan

We are finally one step closer to getting Disney's anticipated live-action version of Mulan. On Monday, Walt Disney Studios announced that production has officially begun. And that's not even the best part! They also released the first look at Liu Yifei as the title character. The film, which also stars Donnie Yen and Yoson An, will shoot in New Zealand and China, before hitting theaters on March 27, 2020. Though the film will focus on the Chinese heroine, it will stray a little from the original 1998 animated film as it includes a few new characters.

The Edgy Piercing Trend at the Teen Choice Awards You Didn’t See Coming

Your favorite celebs pulled out their best for the Teen Choice Awards this Sunday. While the hair and makeup looks were beautiful, of course, there was one edgy trend taking center stage that you don't see on every red carpet: standout ear piercings.

Lucy Hale and Olivia Holt, specifically, wore long pin earrings courtesy of fine jewelry designer Kat Kim. The earrings are designed to go through your pierced lobe and hook on the top of your ear, creating the illusion of a (much cuter) safety pin running through your skin. Hale wore a single bedazzeled bar, while Holt weaved two gold ones through her lobe piercings. Katherine Langford also wore a unique ear cuff that dangled from the top of her ear to the bottom lobe. Looking for an excuse to toss aside your studs for a cool, new ear piece? See the stylish accessories from more angles ahead.

The $38 Color-Changing Mask That Totally Cured My Breakouts

Since I am used to pimples throwing surprise parties - and afterparties - on my face, I am very aware of acne, regardless of the season. I've let skincare products get my hopes up; I've spread on masks that promised to solve everything from my cystic breakouts to the national deficit. Spoiler: many don't work. I've learned to be realistic.

If we're being straight here, the main reason I tried the new Algenist Alive Prebiotic Balancing Mask ($38) is because it looked good enough to eat. The mint-green formula has a frosting-like feel, and as you spread it over your face, it changes colors to a sorbet-esque red. I followed directions and left this mask on for just three minutes. Since I'm a fidgety, anxious human, I like to streamline my me time, so I appreciated the quick turnaround.

When I washed away the residue, I didn't feel like I was stripping off a layer of my skin as I sometimes do with harsher masks. Overall, things felt hydrated, and my skin felt noticeably clean. I wasn't expecting the mask to really help my raging acne, but on the third day of use (it's gentle enough that you can apply every day if you want to), my pimples were all but gone. That Sunday, I left my home wearing nothing but SPF, mascara, and some under-eye concealer for the first time in weeks. I'm heading into the week with clearer skin - and if that's not a cure for the Monday blues, I'm not sure what is.

I'm a Fitness Editor, and This Is the Workout Brand I Cannot Stop Wearing

If you were to peruse my closet you'd find that a majority of my clothing is workout gear (if I had to guess, I'd say 97 percent). My curation of fitness gear is impeccable, if I say so myself, and although I'm overdue for a sports bra and legging purge, I always find ways to add more to my ever-growing collection.

One day, when I was doing my daily Instagram scroll, I came across a woman wearing the TLA by Morgan Stewart workout set. Typically, I scroll, double-tap when applicable, and keep it moving, but this time was different. I made a mental note in my head that this would be the next set to call my closet home.

I decided that my all-black workout uniform could use a little break and opted for the Jasper legging and bra in electric coral. I've worn them to run errands, to train clients, and to work out, and I have yet to find something I don't like about them. I like that they're supportive but not restricting, and, most importantly, that they're sweat-wicking. I like my workout gear to be minimal - I'm not a fan of floral leggings - and I love that these are bold without being too aggressive.

It seems like the internet feels the same way, as I've begun to see more and more athleisure fans rocking their neon workout sets to and from the gym and everything else in between. Whether you simply like to rock leggings or you're in need of more workout gear (you can never have enough), you've got to try this brand. See more of the collection ahead!

Yes, You Can Eat Fruit on Keto, and These 8 Are the Best Types

Touted as nature's candy, fruit is something we grew up knowing was good for us. While it's loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber, it does contain sugar, making it a food some believe should be avoided when on diets like keto, on which you're also supposed to limit your carbs to 20 to 50 grams.

The good news is that you don't have to take fruit completely out of rotation when you're trying keto because there are some types that are low in carbs and high in fiber that fit the diet's restrictions. Knowing how to calculate your net carbs is super handy in making sure you don't get yourself out of ketosis, but without having to do the math, here are eight types of fruit you can (thankfully!) have on keto.

Build Your Booty and Sculpt Your Upper Body With 2 Dumbbells and This 1 Move

One of the most effective exercises you can do for your butt are deadlifts, and one of the best moves to work your upper body is the upright row. Combine the two moves together for this total-body move that also works your abs, back, and hamstrings. Grab a set of medium- to heavy-weight dumbbells and focus on keeping your core tight as you raise and lower your torso.

  • Stand holding a pair of dumbbells in front of you with an overhand grip. Keep a slight bend in your knees.
  • Hinge forward with your hips, keeping the bend in your knees.
  • Lower the weights, keeping them close to your legs at all times. Move down as far as you can without rounding your back (about mid-shin or slightly lower).
  • Brace your core and squeeze your glutes as you bring the dumbbells back up to starting position.
  • Once you're back in starting position, pull the weights straight up the front of your body toward your upper chest.
  • Your elbows should be pointing up when you reach the top of the movement, about six inches below your chin.
  • Slowly lower the dumbbells to starting position again. This completes one rep.

Could Acne Be Holding You Back From Landing the Job of Your Dreams?

Much to the dismay of anyone with atychiphobia, the truth about job hunting remains: in interviews, like in life, there are only so many things you can control. Even when you've fine-tuned your résumé, researched the company, and concocted a decidedly thoughtful response to the wild card "What kind of animal would you be?" question, sometimes there are other, far less obvious factors playing into your odds of getting hired - like the condition of your skin.

It isn't always conscious, but for some interviewers, the bias is real. Studies have shown that people with facial acne are discriminated against in the job market, with one survey revealing that 78 percent of respondents thought people with blemishes or acne scars were less likely to be hired based on their appearance.

"We live in a society that socializes us to have certain stereotypes that might exist outside of our conscious awareness," said Alison Green, an ex-hiring manager and columnist for the popular career blog Ask a Manager. "These biases can be about race, gender, age, religion, disability, socioeconomic class, physical attractiveness - all sorts of things."

"Whether consciously or unconsciously, we assume that attractiveness is associated with competence, even though we know that it's not true."

From a legal standpoint, no federal law has been passed to protect people based on their appearances, at least not without the evidence of a disability. But that last part - a bias based on someone's physical attractiveness - has been widely researched.

"Whether consciously or unconsciously, we assume that attractiveness is associated with competence, even though we know that it's not true," said Matthew Traube, MFT, a psychotherapist who specializes in the psychological impact of skin conditions. "I have had clients tell me that they felt that they would have gotten a job if they did not have acne."

In some cases, this bias can vary depending on the actual open position; Green notes that more managers will put weight on a candidate's appearance if the job is a client-facing one. "They'll often frame it as looking for candidates who are 'well-groomed and polished,' but in practice that's sometimes more about a particular physical look than it is about polish," she said. "And to be clear, employers should recognize that you can have acne and still be well-groomed and polished."

As for the reason behind the bias, Traube theorizes it could be due to the misguided perception that acneic skin is a result of poor hygiene - an association that, again, the interviewer might only be partly aware of. Dr. Josie Howard, MD, a psychodermatologist and expert for Abreva, agrees: "Blemishes, cold sores, and even psoriasis and eczema are often seen as a source of contagion. Society can have a negative perception of blemishes, especially on the face, even when the condition is common."

In an ideal world, all employers will have trained hiring managers on how to identify, and then guard against, every type of unconscious bias. Still, acne bias can also be self-inflicted. Going into an interview already worried that others will think less of you because of your skin, Traube says, could then negatively affect your performance.

"People become acutely aware of any visible blemishes, and their self-consciousness is intensified."

"Having any visible skin condition - especially one that is on the face, like acne or a cold sore - can have a profound impact on self-esteem," Dr. Howard said. "By definition, job interviews are a time where you are presenting yourself to be evaluated and trying to put your best face forward, so to speak. People become acutely aware of any visible blemishes, and their self-consciousness is intensified - taking their mental and emotional focus off the content of the interview and interpersonal interactions and onto worrying about their skin and appearance."

To make matters worse, if you're prone to hormonal breakouts, the stress that comes with prepping for an interview could also trigger flare-ups. "For skin conditions that are exacerbated by anxiety, this can become a vicious cycle," Dr. Howard said. "Stress can impair the immune system and in turn make you more vulnerable to acne. Then, the stress of a visible outbreak increases stress, further worsening the blemish."

When you feel stress acne coming on, the most important course of action is to stick to your normal skin-care routine. Don't add an extra step or spend too much time in front of a magnifying mirror - that only makes it worse, she says. Keeping a fast-acting spot treatment or hydrocolloid bandage in your purse can give you peace of mind. More importantly, though, wear your confidence as if it were included with purchase of your Cole Haan loafers.

"The single most important factor is presenting yourself as comfortable in your skin," said Dr. Howard. "You might have a visible blemish, but focusing your attention on your excitement about the job will quickly shift your interviewer's focus as well. As Sophia Loren said, 50 percent of beauty is believing you are beautiful."

The $5 DIY-Inspired Look That Won Katherine Langford the Teen Choice Award for Best Makeup

The Teen Choice Awards wasn't short of star-studded action, and certainly wasn't short of celebrity beauty inspiration. One particular celebrity that caught our eye was Katherine Langford. Makeup artist Fiona Stiles gave the 13 Reasons Why actress a slightly iridescent light-purple-hued smoky eye, finished off with teeny silver stars and purple gems on the outer corners of her eyes. Step aside, regular winged makeup, we're adding stars to ours from now on.

To re-create this look at home, get yourself down to the craft store and pick up some glitter, stars, and any shapes you desire, preferably biodegradeable options. Using eyelash glue, secure them in the desired position, choosing a wing shape if you want to re-create Langford's look. Get a closer look at the sparkly liner ahead, and we dare you to resist trying this for your next occasion.

I Tested 4 Primers During the Hottest Weekend of My Life - Here's Which 1 Held Up

A few days before I was set to spend a long weekend in Chicago, I opened up the weather app on my phone and made a devastating discovery: it wasn't going to be cooler than 88 degrees the entire time I was there. (That was the low; the high was a whopping 96 degrees.) Suffice to say, I immediately started panicking.

Do I love hot weather in theory? Sure - it means picnics in the park, beach trips, and sipping rosé at some overpriced sidewalk café. But in reality, "hot" in my home of New York City usually means soul-crushing humidity with temperatures so high your makeup melts off your face and onto the subway tracks. I worried that Chicago - where I'd be attending Lollapalooza and sitting in the hot sun on a speedboat, among other things - would be similar torture.

So I made sure to pack a few secret weapons in my makeup bag. Four secret weapons, to be specific: a variety of makeup primers each less than $15 that claim to make your foundation stay in place from sunup to sundown. With thermometers skyrocketing in the city over the weekend, I put them all to the test to see which could outwit, outlast, and outplay the other.

5 Foods That Could Be Causing Your Skin Problems, According to Experts

You've heard that old saying that goes "you are what you eat." While this saying cannot be taken literally, it is important to understand that everything we eat - whether it is healthy smoothies or green juices, fast food burgers or ice cream cones - does hold the power to affect our bodies in different ways.

"Your diet is the number-one source for skin trouble," says Joanna Vargas, celebrity facialist and founder of Joanna Vargas Salon and Skincare Collection. "Most people don't realize that skin directly correlates to our digestive system. If we eat something we can't digest or have trouble digesting, the body will try and use your skin to detox. That's why we break out after eating certain foods."

Studies have shown that there is indeed a link between dermatology and nutrition, revealing that certain diets can cause skin to react by causing inflammation, acne, dryness and more. With this in mind, here are five of the worst foods you can eat for your skin, according to experts.

Jo Malone on Her "Warrior" Comeback in Fragrance and Going Back to Basics

There's confidence, and then there's defiant confidence; the kind of rock-solid self-assurance that comes as a result of being put through the ringer and coming out stronger on the other side. Jo Malone, unofficial patron saint of the fragrance world and trailblazing entrepreneur, certainly possesses the latter.

Though Malone has spent 24 years (and counting) with her name at the forefront of the fragrance industry, that impressive span of time hasn't been without its trials. She made her official exit from the Jo Malone London brand in 2006, relinquishing full control of the company to cosmetics juggernaut Estée Lauder. Suddenly, Malone found herself facing a five-year hiatus from the fragrance industry as a result of a noncompete agreement, unable to participate in the world she'd dedicated much of her life to. When she was finally free to return in 2011, Malone jumped head first into her next endeavor: building an entirely new fragrance brand called Jo Loves. "It didn't take an entrepreneur to come back," Malone tells POPSUGAR. "It took a warrior."

From an outsider's perspective, it seems that Malone was battle-ready long before her career in fragrance began. Her struggle with dyslexia and a difficult home life (she's spoken openly about her father's gambling habits and her family's serious financial troubles) meant that Malone's childhood was far from idyllic. But despite those early hardships, Malone credits her upbringing, particularly her mother's work as a manicurist for Revlon, with instilling "an appreciation of creativity" that emanates through the work she produces today. We were able to chat with the fragrance maven, where she shared words of wisdom on creativity, trusting your gut, and the highs and lows of life as an entrepreneur.

POPSUGAR: When did you know you were interested in making a career out of fragrance?
Jo Malone: I didn't set out to make a career in fragrance. I'm very dyslexic, so my sense of smell is very predominant, and it's probably my main sense. I have something called synesthesia, which means my senses are slightly muddled, but I thought at a young age [that] everyone could smell like I could. And then as I got older I realized I actually had something pretty unique and pretty different. I could smell what no one else could smell, and I could create fragrance in my head and make it reality. I don't think you set out to create a global brand; that often happens in time. You just set out to survive in business, and then you set out and create something, and then the world follows you. I think that was very much my story and what has happened to me.

PS: The fragrance industry has changed in the 24 years since you launched Jo Malone London. Do you think today is a better or worse time to be a fragrance entrepreneur?
JM: Has the industry changed? Of course it has. Every industry changes in time. We add good things in it and bad things. It's a bit like politics - you get what you're given, and then you make it the very best that you possibly can. Distribution has changed phenomenally. Social media has changed the way we advertise a product, market a product, PR a product, and the influencers. But if you break everything back down to basics, which is always what I'm about, it's about a good product. It's about an authentic story, and it's about creativity. That for me is what fragrance is about. I don't want gimmicks.

If you look at Chanel and House of Guerlain, they are still so successful because they never moved far from the heartbeat of their founders. Look at Pat McGrath. You can see that woman's heartbeat through her brand. That is a very powerful, strong message. Stay true to who you are. There [are] lots that will come and go and earn millions and lose millions, but people that stand the test of time are the people that listen to the heartbeat of their brands.

PS: How would you describe the heartbeat of Jo Loves, and how does it differ from that of Jo Malone London?
JM: Jo Loves is about delving into my imagination and the "what if." The "what if" of What if I could change the way people make candles? or What if I could change the way the whole world wears fragrance with a paintbrush? Disruptors often walk a very lonely road for a bit, and suddenly the world goes, "That is really clever, and I like that, and I want to be a part of that movement." So [with Jo Loves], I'm going to challenge the way we do everything.

"You have to build something that makes you feel fulfilled as a human being. That's where true happiness comes from."

PS: How do you get your creative juices flowing when you are feeling less than inspired?
JM: Inspiration doesn't land on your doorstep. You have to work at it. You have to activate your imagination, and that's what I do. I might get inspired by other people's entrepreneurial journeys. When I read them, it makes me think, How can I do that? What can I do? I take different industries - everything from tech to interior - and I see how I can lock my world and their worlds together. What can I create out of a twist of those two worlds? That's how my mind thinks. I like to take two different worlds and collide them and create something. But I have to work incredibly hard every day.

PS: Aspiring beauty entrepreneurs look to your story for inspiration. What entrepreneurial advice would you share with them?
JM: I feel very honored that other people look [to me] for inspiration. I think I'm a girl that had nothing but a dream and made it happen. And if I can do it, so can they. I never quit. And I'd say to never quit on a bad day. The reality of that is you never quit on a good day, either. Sit down and take the pieces of your business on the table. Look at the parts that are working and failing, and work it out like a puzzle. Normally, the solution to everything is there if you simplify it. The three ingredients that make an entrepreneur are passion, resilience, and creativity. If you can incorporate those three things into your business and make them the focal point, you will succeed. It doesn't mean that everyone's going to be a billionaire, but you will succeed. Ultimately, it's not just about being successful, it's about being happy. You can make billions and still not be happy. You have to build something that makes you feel fulfilled as a human being, because that's where true happiness comes from.

PS: What was the biggest entrepreneurial lesson you took away from running Jo Malone London that you applied to how you run Jo Loves?
JM: I learned to trust my instincts. I learned the "big boys" - as in, big corporations - don't have all the answers. When I grew up, I never heard the expression "indie brand." Now it's used all the time. Indie brands, your moment is now. Go make it happen. Don't overcomplicate things. The world needs to go back to simplicity and the heartbeat of what things are really about.

"I think of a girl that had nothing but a dream and made it happen. And if I can do it, so can they."

PS: Is there any singular achievement from your career that you are the most proud of?
JM: I've learned to be a warrior of retail and not quit. I felt I came back to this industry for a purpose. I hadn't known what the overarching purpose was, and I think I do now. I'm ready for that challenge. And not just for this business to be successful but to have the courage to go on a new journey. That's what Jo Loves is about - a new journey and a new adventure. This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity.

These Cryptic James Bond Tweets Prove Idris Elba's Just Toying With Our Emotions Now

"My name's Elba, Idris Elba." These words will likely go down in fan history, after Idris Elba added fuel to the already blazing fire of speculation surrounding his role in the James Bond franchise. The 45-year-old actor (and now, handsome internet troll) shared a photo of himself on Twitter with the above caption and, of course, fans went into overdrive trying to figure out what his comments mean.

The idea of casting Elba as Bond isn't a new one. Rumors of Elba's involvement have been floating around since 2014, but they've recently picked up again with producers and directors hinting at a non-white Bond after Daniel Craig's final installment.

Elba's cheeky tweet doesn't confirm or deny anything, and he followed it up with a second cryptic message: "Don't believe the HYPE." Now he's just toying with us. Either way, these tweets sure got fans excited as they try to decipher the true intentions behind them. Check out some of our favorites ahead and keep your fingers crossed that we see Elba making martinis shaken, not stirred, in the near future.

40 Pictures From the Teen Choice Awards That Will Put You Right in the Middle of the Action

The 2018 Teen Choice Awards went down in LA on Sunday night, and it was a star-studded event. Some of your favorite actors from TV and movies showed up at The Forum to accept surfboard awards and walk the purple carpet. The cast of Riverdale posed for a few photos together, while Shadowhunters star Harry Shum Jr. showed sweet PDA with his wife, Shelby Rabara. Plus, Chris Pratt gave an adorable speech with his Jurassic World costar Bryce Dallas Howard, while Anna Kendrick took an opportunity to roast Ryan Reynolds with her win. Keep reading to see the night's best pictures!

Anna Kendrick Beat Ryan Reynolds For Best Twitter, and You Bet She Called Him Out

Sometimes being a humble winner is overrated. On Sunday night, Anna Kendrick took home choice comedy movie actress and choice Twit, and she made sure to call out one of her opponents for the latter award in the process. In addition to talking about how lucky she felt to make the Pitch Perfect movies, she also touched on how excited she was to beat out one particular person for choice Twit. "I know that Ryan Reynolds was nominated, so in your face, Ryan!" she teased the hilarious actor.

This certainly isn't the first time the two have poked fun at each other. While Ryan is known for trolling his wife, Blake Lively, on social media, Blake recently roped her A Simple Favor costar in on the fun when she said Anna was a "hotter, female(r)" version of her husband. We can't wait to see how Ryan will reply to Anna's acceptance speech!

All the Times Pedro Pascal Made Our Hearts Ache With Desire

He endured the most memorable - and arguably most gruesome - death on Game of Thrones, but Pedro Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell in the world of Westeros, is alive and well today. He starred in the original Netflix series Narcos as Javier Peña, a real-life DEA agent who played a major role in catching Pablo Escobar, for three seasons. Now he's continuing his film career with Wonder Woman 1984 in an unknown but "pivotal" role, according to Variety.

Although he's been acting since he was a teenager, Pedro, who originally hails from Santiago, Chile, has only recently popped up on our radars, largely due to his unforgettable role in Game of Thrones. He's on his way to becoming one of Hollywood's biggest stars, so we demand that he's recognized for his chiseled jawline, contagious smile, and kind eyes. The guy is a grade-A hottie, and he deserves to be labeled as one. Here are all the moments we couldn't help but praise Pedro in all his Chilean glory.

Chris Pratt Professes His Love For God and Bryce Dallas Howard at the Teen Choice Awards

Could Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard be any cuter? During the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, the Jurassic World stars put their sweet friendship on display as they took home choice Summer movie actor and actress. Though they couldn't be together in person, that didn't stop them from giving an adorable acceptance speech on stage, as Bryce tuned in via video chat. While Chris took a moment to thank God in his speech, Bryce gave a shout-out to her costar. "The only thing better than running from dinosaurs is running from dinosaurs with Chris Pratt," she said. Aww! See the full video ahead.

Even at Just 5 Minutes, This Short Cloverfield Film Is Pretty Damn Good

Remember how Netflix dropped The Cloverfield Paradox out of nowhere after the Super Bowl this year? And how it was kind of a confusing mess that barely connected to 2008's Cloverfield? At the time, the takeaway seemed to be that another decent movie in the Cloverfield universe was just not meant to happen. Yes, 10 Cloverfield Lane was a solid entry, but neither film really captured the raw excitement of the first entry into the "franchise." And just when we were about to give up hope, a new addition has suddenly emerged.

Megan is a short film that is not technically part of the Cloverfield canon, at least not yet. That's because it's more of a fan's dedication to the lore of the series than it is an addition with a J.J. Abrams stamp of approval. Megan is directed by Greg Strasz, with writing and story credits by Giuseppe Mercadante, Jean de Meuron, and Strasz himself. At this point, it's merely a "proof of concept" piece, meaning the short clip is meant to demonstrate how effectively the story could function as a feature-length film. But with such a unique take on the franchise and a captivating introduction, we're hoping it gets the big-screen treatment it deserves.

Mila Kunis has been in the spotlight for over 20 years, but her career has never been better (and neither has her body). When she's not looking insanely cute with Ashton Kutcher or proudly defending her title as "realest mom out there," she's killing it both on and off screen - most recently alongside Kate McKinnon in The Spy Who Dumped Me (which has gifted us with a comedic duo we never even knew we were missing from our lives). From spoiled teen Jackie Burkhart on That '70s Show to a stunning mama of two, here are just 100 of Mila's sexiest looks along the way.

Lady Gaga Recalls the Heartbreaking Day Behind A Star Is Born's Most Powerful Scene

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper appear in all their glory on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Fall Movie Issue, and they're spilling all the emotional details about their undeniable award season darling, A Star Is Born. The exciting remake is already generating plenty of buzz with its chills-inducing trailer, which is jam-packed with emotional moments between the two stars. As it turns out, though, things were just as intense for the stars once the cameras turned off.

During the interview, Gaga opened up about one of the most captivating scenes in the film, when her character sings a powerful ballad at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. In a devastating twist of fate, the pop star lost her close friend to cancer while they were filming. That means the emotions we'll see on screen will be very heartbreaking and very real.

"All I ever wanted to do was sing. I'll never forget that day."

"My very, very, very dear friend Sonja died of cancer that day. We were supposed to shoot in, like, 30 minutes, and I left the set because her husband called me and I could hear her in the background and I just got in the car and drove. I missed her by 15 minutes and she died," Gaga recalled. "I literally laid with her, with her husband, and their dog, and his son . . . When I came back, Bradley was so gentle with me and we got through it. I performed the song. He was like, 'You don't have to do it again. It's okay.' All I ever wanted to do was sing. I'll never forget that day. It was really a special scene, and I'll always remember that moment."

Cooper, on the other hand, spoke to the film's greater themes, which deal with depression and addiction. "I mean, ultimately, it would be wonderful if it could impart some understanding of the human plight," he said. "I know that's why I wanted to tell this story, so I could even help understand it myself. Also, to recognize that trauma is real, and traumatic events that occur especially early in life, if they're not dealt with and aided, will have ramifications that go on and on and on and on." Wow. We already thought we were going to get emotional while watching the film, but now those chances have increased tenfold. A Star Is Born hits theaters on Oct. 5.

Look Back at All the Artists Who Have Won MTV's Coveted Video Vanguard Award

Jennifer Lopez will be the first Latin artist to win MTV's Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs this month, and it got us thinking about all the other musicians to receive the honor over the years. The Vanguard was created in 1984 and renamed after the iconic Michael Jackson in 1991; it recognizes artists' overall achievements in music and film, and there were actually two inaugural winners: David Bowie and The Beatles.

While there has been plenty of debate over who probably should have a Vanguard Award but doesn't - *cough* Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott *cough* - it doesn't get awarded every year and has sometimes been given as a lifetime achievement award instead. My favorite thing about the Vanguard Award is seeing how the artists celebrate and accept them. Beyoncé damn near performed her entire self-titled album; Kanye West damn near ran for US president; Justin Timberlake damn near resurrected *NSYNC from the dead; and Lady Gaga had me damn near throwing wine at the TV when she presented Britney Spears with an award while dressed as her male alter ego, Jo Calderone. I'll never understand why that happened.

Keep reading to see all the artists who have taken home the coveted Moon Person over the years, then check out even more unforgettable moments from the MTV VMAs.
