I Apologize to My Kids All the Time, but I Don't Think It Makes Me a Bad Parent

I'll be the first one to admit that my parenting has been below mediocre lately - I'd say I'm earning a C-. For starters, our house is currently in an upheaval during a kitchen renovation. So, from not being able to find a single coffee mug to frequently inhaling the dust swirling around our house, the stress is starting to get to me. While I fully understand that home renovations are a blessing and not a problem, I can't help but act like a pain in the ass sometimes. I roll my eyes while stomping down the too-crowded hallways, I whisper swear words under my breath at the constant mess, and worst of all, I lose my temper with my kids.

They need to know that I'm not perfect, and when I mess up or lose my temper, they absolutely deserve an "I'm sorry" from me.

But with each subpar parenting move I make, I always make sure to do something else: say sorry to my children. It's not their fault their mother gets stressed out (even though they do test my patience all the time). So, while I know I'm the parent and I need to be the one teaching them lessons about how not to screw up, I don't feel bad or weird for apologizing to them on a regular basis. They need to know that I'm not perfect, and when I mess up or lose my temper, they absolutely deserve an "I'm sorry" from me.

By making big and small mistakes, and recognizing them to my kids, I hope I'm also teaching them about forgiveness. When they say sorry to me after doing something wrong, I always tell them I forgive them and that I love them. And whenever I say the same to them, their tough shells crack and we all quickly move on. If I never apologize for my own errors, my kids won't know how to model that same behavior. They'll learn that treating people badly has no repercussions. They'll grow into poor teammates, bad classmates, and negative coworkers. And worse, no one will want to stick by their sides.

So, instead of ignoring the fact that I can act like a jerk to my kids, I'll keep saying "I'm sorry" to them whenever I mess up. I'll continue to do my best at this whole parenting thing, even if that means I fail daily. They'll learn that imperfections are just a part of life and that no one is perfect - not even Mom.

I'm That Parent Who Takes My Kids Out of School For Vacation, and I Don't Feel Bad About It

My daughter was born, and then 10 minutes later, she turned 10. At least that's how it feels. I remember my mother's saying about raising kids, "The days go slow but the years go fast," and I couldn't agree more. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion I'll soon turn around and my baby will be 20, all grown up, and living on her own. That's why I want to cherish this time when she and her siblings are still young and we're all together, which means I won't feel guilty for taking my brood out of school to spend time as a family on vacation.

So much pressure is placed on kids these days, so it's imperative they have strong family ties so they stay connected to what's truly important in life.

There are other reasons I don't lose sleep over my kids missing a few days of school to go on a trip. Namely, so much pressure is placed on kids these days to keep their grades up, excel at their activities, make a million friends, and plan for their futures, all while maintaining a healthy relationship with social media. Just like adults, they need a break sometimes. Not only that, but now more than ever, it's imperative that kids have strong family ties so they stay connected to what's truly important in life. As in, not what outlandishly expensive outfit their favorite celebrity is wearing today or what new, daring (and possibly stupid) challenge is sweeping the internet this week.

Another lesser reason I can't feel too bad about my kiddos ducking out of class once in a while is that trips for our family are expensive; we have four kids! Visiting a popular vacation destination at a peak time, like over Christmas or Spring break, is often too costly or impossible due to availability. Sometimes we have to pick a time that works financially for us, and if that happens when the kids are all in school, then so be it.

Even though I have no qualms about planning a trip when school is in session, it doesn't mean I don't think school is important. Quite the opposite! But I know my children needing to make up work they missed is not the end of the world. They can catch up in a few days and will still do well in class, especially if we plan ahead and inform the teacher they'll be out. I've requested for my kids to bring work with us on a trip so they can tackle it on the plane or during downtime. I've even had my kids do some of their work ahead of our trip so it's not a burden for them when we return.

As my kids get older, if vacations interfere with school too much, we will have to wait until scheduled breaks - and I get that. But I will always place equal importance on school and family. And I would hope every school and teacher would support that.

4 Things You Need to Know About UTIs During Pregnancy, Including How to Treat Them

During pregnancy, there are many obvious outward physical changes that your body goes through, but what's less obvious are the anatomical changes also occurring inside your body. According to the American Pregnancy Organization, women are at an increased risk for urinary track infections, known as UTIs, during weeks six to 24 of their pregnancy. This is due in part to the changes in a woman's urinary track and the growing uterus blocking drainage of urine from the bladder.

Higher levels of progesterone may also reduce the muscle tone of the uterus, which can slow the flow of urine. Research shows UTIs in pregnant women happen quite frequently, and it's something women should be tested for on a regular basis by their medical professional. A urine culture must be collected and tested in order to diagnose a UTI during pregnancy, and many birth clinics and hospitals have made this a regular part of their prenatal care.

1. What Are the Symptoms to Watch For?

Typical UTI symptoms may present as a persistent urge to urinate, burning while urinating, passing small amounts of urine more frequently, urine that is cloudy in color, blood in the urine, strong smelling urine, and pelvic pain. In addition to the symptoms listed above, kidney infections (a serious complication from UTI) include fever, chills, back or groin pain, abdominal pain, and nausea and vomiting.

Sometimes it's not so easy to detect a UTI while pregnant. Dr. Stephanie Canale, M.D. with the UCLA Department of Family Medicine and founder of The Lactation Lab, spoke to POPSUGAR about how to spot one. "One of the major differences between pregnant and non-pregnant women is that women who are pregnant or in the postpartum phase are more likely to have what is called asymptomatic bacteriuria," she explained. "This means infection without symptoms. This is thought to occur in about 2-8 percent of pregnant women." And although many women have increased urination during pregnancy, she emphasizes that "peeing more often with or without accompanying pain may be a symptom during pregnancy, and you should contact your doctor if you notice a sudden change in your urinary habits."

2. UTIs Can Be Harmful to Your Baby If Not Treated

Urologist Dr. Dana Rice, creator of UTI Tracker App, explained to POPSUGAR the danger of having an UTI during pregnancy: "During pregnancy, your body changes in a way that can make it easier for bacteria to travel from your bladder to your kidneys, putting the mother at higher risk for a kidney infection, which can be detrimental for the fetus as well." The American Pregnancy Association also confirms that "kidney infections during pregnancy may cause early labor and low birth weight." The good news is if a UTI is detected and treated early, it will not cause harm to you or your baby moving forward.

3. How Do You Treat a UTI During Pregnancy?

All pregnant women should be treated for this medical condition, especially since there is a high recurrence rate of UTIs during pregnancy. UTIs are commonly treated with antibiotics during pregnancy, although the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends treating them with the shortest effective duration possible, especially during the first trimester. Certain drugs have been linked to an increased risk in birth defects, (nitrofuran and sulfonamide classes of antibiotics), but many commonly used antibiotics, such as penicillins, erythromycin, and cephalosporins, have not been found to have an increased risk. If you have concerns about the medicine you're prescribed, make sure to talk your medical professional about the potential outcomes and adverse reactions associated with your treatment protocol.

4. What Can I Do to Minimize Risk?

You may be more likely to get a UTI purely based on your anatomy, but there are some things you can do to reduce your chances whether you're pregnant or not. The Mayo Clinic suggests drinking plenty of fluids (especially water, and this goes up if you're pregnant), wiping front to back, urinating immediately after sexual intercourse, avoiding feminine sprays or deodorants, changing your underwear and pantyhose often, and avoid soaking in the bathtub for longer than 30 minutes at a time.

These Abandoned Disney Park Photos Look Like Scenes From a Postapocalyptic World

When we think of Disney World, "creepy" doesn't usually come to mind. But photos of Walt Disney World's first water park, called Disney's River Country, are making us rethink just how sugary sweet all things Disney-related really are. The park, now abandoned, opened in 1976 and closed up shop 25 years later. A pool within the park was filled with concrete in recent years.

Photojournalist Seph Lawless, who explores eerie abandoned locations all over the country, captured images inside the Orlando park, from vine-covered bridges to overgrown trees and mud-laden former water slides. Admidst the ruins, you can still imagine the former glory of the park, but that glory has long since been lost.

Lawless included the Disney park's images in his book, Abandoned: Hauntingly Beautiful Deserted Theme Parks. Take a look at the apocalypse-like scene at Disney World's first water park ahead, and follow Seph's work on his Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Vegans and Vegetarians, Listen Up: Here's How to Do a Plant-Based Keto Diet

Going keto is more than just a diet trend; it's a lifestyle transformation that has helped people lose weight, gain more energy, lower blood sugar levels, and fight inflammation. The keto diet is a high-fat, moderate-protein, super low-carb diet that puts your body into a state of ketosis wherein your body burns fat instead of carbs for energy. Although each person's specific macronutrient breakdown varies, it's generally about 80 percent fat, 15 percent protein, and five percent carbs.

But while countless people have found success on the keto diet, it can be quite limiting for people who are vegetarian or vegan. Since the diet is so low-carb - less than 50 grams a day - many vegan staples, such as quinoa, brown rice, and sprouted grain bread, are out. Although it's difficult, it is possible for people who eschew animal products to successfully do the keto diet. Our friends at Virta Health, a weight-loss clinic that helps treat type 2 diabetes patients with a ketogenic diet, outlined some key pointers for vegans and vegetarians who are interested in trying the keto diet.

As always, be sure to consult with your doctor or registered dietitian before embarking on any major dietary changes. The keto diet, especially a plant-based keto diet, should be done under medical supervision.

Serena Williams Is No Longer Allowed to Wear Her Nike Bodysuit at the French Open

Serena Williams has been banned from wearing a bodysuit at the French Open, the Associated Press reports. Serena wore the black catsuit back in May when she played the French Open and took home her first grand slam win since giving birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. The black and red bodysuit was custom made for her by Nike.

Serena's husband, Alexis, called it a "superhero outfit," and Serena told reporters at the time, "I feel like a warrior in it, a warrior princess . . . from Wakanda, maybe. I've always wanted to be a superhero, and it's kind of my way of being a superhero."

The Associated Press learned that the French Open will now enforce a dress code that will ban certain outfits, and the French Tennis Federation president specifically mentioned Serena's suit. The AP stated, "The French Tennis Federation president, Bernard Giudicelli, says the tournament that Williams has won three times is introducing a dress code to regulate players' uniforms because 'I think that sometimes we've gone too far.'"

"It will no longer be accepted. One must respect the game and the place," Bernard said.

The 1 Full-Body Strength-Training Move Most People Neglect, According to This Trainer

Image Source: Burst / Shopify Partners

Ready to meet an all-around smart exercise that offers a laundry list of amazing benefits? Great, let's talk about the viking press, a versatile move that Westin's Global Run Concierge Chris Heuisler says is one people shouldn't neglect. The viking press is essentially a kneeling, twisted-overhead press. Here are several reasons you should incorporate it into your workouts, according to Chris:

  • It works your butt and core (especially your external obliques).
  • It naturally tones your shoulders.
  • It moves you transversely.
  • It elevates your heart rate.

Sounds awesome, right? Most of your power comes from the transverse (horizontal) plane, making rotational movements especially important in your workouts. For example, a straight jab doesn't generate as much power as a hook would because it doesn't generate as much momentum. But according to Chris, "We don't move like that anymore. If you've ever seen kids move, what they're not doing is what we're doing every day, which is going in a straight path. That's actually to our disadvantage."

The viking press helps combat that as it calls for a complete rotation and lengthens your entire body. "I'm teaching my body how to stabilize in transverse," he told POPSUGAR. "My right glute has to connect to my core to make this work, otherwise if that's off, my stability is off. You have to have stability before you have mobility."

How to Do It

  • Begin in a kneeling lunge, keeping your left leg bent in a 90-degree angle and your right leg bent perpendicular to the ground.
  • Hold a dumbbell slightly in front of your chest.
  • Squeeze your glute, open your hip, and rotate your body to the left side, reaching up for the ceiling.
  • Come back down in a slow, controlled movement to the front.

This move can also be completed with a kettlebell by turning it upside down.

I'm a Trainer, and These Are My 16 Favorite Ab-Sculpting Exercises

As a trainer, one of the most common areas my clients and friends always want to strengthen and tone is their abdomen. I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't let them - and all of you - know that spot reduction won't help you lose fat and build muscle anywhere, especially in your stomach.

It's also important for me to remind you that ab workouts alone won't transform your stomach. As annoying as it may be to hear, "abs are built in the kitchen." Better yet, ab visibility is built in the kitchen. It's going to take a combination of clean eating and the right workouts (I prefer high-intensity exercises to burn fat) to begin to see a change in your abs.

The options of exercises to strengthen and sculpt your core are endless, and these are my favorite to program into my clients' and my own workouts. Make your very own ab workout by choosing four to six of the following moves, completing each exercise for 30 seconds each for a total of four rounds.

These 5 Foods Might Be Causing More Than Tummy Problems - They Might Be Giving You Bad Skin

You've heard that old saying that goes "you are what you eat." While this saying cannot be taken literally, it is important to understand that everything we eat - whether it is healthy smoothies or green juices, fast food burgers or ice cream cones - does hold the power to affect our bodies in different ways.

"Your diet is the number-one source for skin trouble," says Joanna Vargas, celebrity facialist and founder of Joanna Vargas Salon and Skincare Collection. "Most people don't realize that skin directly correlates to our digestive system. If we eat something we can't digest or have trouble digesting, the body will try and use your skin to detox. That's why we break out after eating certain foods."

Studies have shown that there is indeed a link between dermatology and nutrition, revealing that certain diets can cause skin to react by causing inflammation, acne, dryness and more. With this in mind, here are five of the worst foods you can eat for your skin, according to experts.

Does Cycling Burn Belly Fat? Here's What a Trainer Has to Say

On the quest to burn belly fat, you may have tried all the tricks of the trade: loading up on belly-fat-fighting foods and beverages, ditching processed junk, and incorporating core-strengthening exercises. And while this is all well and good, what if some of your favorite cardio exercises could also help you lose fat around your midsection? As someone who is obsessed with indoor cycling classes, I was curious if my favorite workout could help me burn my stubborn belly fat.

Unfortunately, you can't exactly spot-target fat loss. You can lose body fat overall, and it's up to your genes to decide where this fat comes from. Luckily, cycling can help you burn fat.

"Cycling is one of the best exercises to burn body fat," dietitian and personal trainer Jim White, RD, ACSM, the owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, told POPSUGAR. However, he recommends taking a LISS (lower-intensity steady state) approach to cycling instead of a HIIT (high-intensity interval training) approach.

"Cycling requires a steady pace to cycle for a more elongated period," Jim said. "HIIT uses an extensive amount of energy in a short amount of time. Thus, cycling with a moderate amount of energy will allow you to go longer and burn more calories than if you wore your body out quickly performing a HIIT workout."

So being able to ride for longer will inevitably mean you are burning more calories. If you are riding outside, this could translate into lasting an hour or two longer on the bike than normal.

But for indoor cycling, HIIT may be an effective way to ride since you are only on the bike for 45 minutes to an hour. Since many indoor cycling studios focus on HIIT-style rides, you will end up burning more calories in that short time than you would during a LISS ride.

In fact, both moderate-intensity and high-intensity interval training are equally effective at burning body fat. A 2017 study found that MICT (moderate-intensity continuous training) had the same fat-reducing results for obese young women after a 12-week trial. Both groups had "successfully produced significant reductions in the fat mass of the whole body," according to the study.

Bottom line: cycling will help you burn fat, but not necessarily belly fat; that all depends on your body.

"Cycling burns many calories overall, which will help burn fat, but it does not work specifically with burning belly fat alone," Jim said.

CrossFit and HIIT Married, and This 20-Minute Fat-Burning Workout Was Born

Grab a bike, a rower, and a pair of light to medium-weight dumbbells and get psyched to work your entire body! We did this workout in my CrossFit Burn class, which is a boot-camp-style workout that involves no barbells but utilizes every other piece of equipment in the gym, like dumbbells and other weights, jump ropes, battle ropes, and machines like rowers and assault bikes (the bikes with the handles and the fan).

Here's a little taste of a CrossFit Burn workout. It's just four moves, and it's a HIIT-style workout where you push hard for 40 seconds, then rest for 20. CrossFit coach and owner of Champlain Valley CrossFit Jade Jenny says you get to choose how hard you want to work. You can go hard on the machine, or you can go chill. You choose whether you want lighter dumbbells so you can cycle through the movements quickly for more reps, or choose heavier dumbbells to challenge your muscles and do fewer reps. If you don't have a bike or rower, you can run, jump rope, or do a CrossFit fave: burpees!

The Workout

Directions: Do each of the below couplets for 10 minutes, totaling 20 minutes. Alternate between each move, pushing hard for 40 seconds, then taking a 20-second rest to transition to the next move, continuing until the 10 minutes are up.

0:00 to 10:00

  • Dumbbell push press: 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest
  • Bike: 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest

10:00 to 20:00

  • Dumbbell thrusters: 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest
  • Row: 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest

Read on for directions to the two dumbbell moves.

Dust Off Your Broomsticks, Because a Bewitched Reboot Is Coming to ABC

Well, we all knew this was only a matter of time: ABC is dusting off 1960s TV classic Bewitched for a modern-day reboot, Deadline reports. The decision follows a long line of other reboots and revivals that have been announced (and aired) over the last two years, including NBC's Will and Grace, The CW's Charmed, and the ill-advised 11th season of Roseanne on ABC. It seems the latter network is attempting to make up for the highly publicized cancellation of Roseanne Barr's sitcom with the news that they're going to have Samantha Stevens wiggling her nose once more.

As much as we're not down with the idea of ABC tarnishing the beloved 1960s series (Didn't Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell's movie adaptation do that enough?!), we can't deny that the creative forces behind the reboot are pretty perfect. Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and Yamara Taylor, who works as a writer on the critically-acclaimed comedy, are in charge, and will reportedly put a twist in the story of a witch trying to blend into suburban life with her ad executive husband, Darrin.

This time around, Samantha will be played by a black actress, and will be a hardworking single mom (and witch!) who remarries Darrin, a white mortal (and slacker!). Barris and Taylor will show the couple navigating the ups and downs of their relationship as Samantha comes to realize that "even when a black girl is literally magic, she's still not as powerful as a decently tall white man with a full head of hair in America."

Back in 2011, CBS attempted to revive the show, and a similar attempt was made by NBC in 2014. Neither version ever made it onto TV, and for that we're grateful, because this reboot actually sounds, well, magical.

If It Wasn't For Princess Margaret, You Probably Wouldn't Be Able to Read Your Horoscope Today

Did you know that the horoscope you read every day in a newspaper, magazine, or on your favorite website has a fascinating connection to Princess Margaret? Yes, the Princess Margaret - younger sister to Queen Elizabeth II, she of biting British wit, headline-making romances, and extravagant morning routines. As crazy as it may sound, Margaret is pretty much the sole reason that sun sign horoscopes exist. You're probably wondering how the hell this is possible, right? In his inventive new biography, Ninety-Nine Glimpses of Princess Margaret, journalist Craig Brown details how daily and weekly horoscope columns came to be, thanks to one astrologer and one newborn princess. And as a huge fan of both astrology and the British royal family, my mind was basically blown.

HRH Princess Margaret Rose was born on Aug. 21, 1930 to the then-Duke and Duchess of York, who just a few years later would ascend the throne and become King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Margaret was fourth in the line of succession when she was born, and in the tradition of royal baby births, her introduction into the world was marked by gun salutes, official portraits, and of course, tons of press. In London, Sunday Express editor John Gordon, as author Craig Brown wrote, was "struggling to come up with a fresh angle on the news of another royal birth." He came up with the idea to ask Cheiro, a famous astrologer and palmist during that time, to make a prediction about what might unfold during the newborn princess's life. Gordon reached out to Cheiro - whose real name was William John Warner - but he was busy, and instead the assignment was taken on by Cheiro's assistant, a man named R.H. Naylor.

Naylor's article, titled "What the Stars Foretell For the New Princess," was printed in the Express the following Sunday, four days after Margaret was born. The idea was so new that the introduction included an explanation:

"Everybody is interested in the future. Can it be told by the stars? Readers of the Sunday Express will be able to judge for themselves after reading the following article, which tells you just what is expected to happen during the remainder of the month. Mr. Naylor has included in the article an extremely interesting horoscope - an observation of the heavens at the hour of a person's birth."

According to Ninety-Nine Glimpses, the piece predicted that Margaret would have "an eventful life" (OK, obviously) and that "events of tremendous importance to the royal family and the nation" would occur around the time Margaret turned seven. Naylor's prediction story was a huge success, and John Gordon ended up commissioning him to write more general forecasts to be printed over the next few months. One of Naylor's most notable prophecies was that "a British aircraft will be in danger between Oct. 8 and 15." While he didn't hit it on the nose, he was right: on Oct. 5, 1930, an R101 airship crashed in France, killing 48 people. This prediction sent Naylor's fame skyrocketing, and soon enough, Gordon offered R.H. Naylor a weekly column in the Sunday Express making predictions for all readers according to their birthdays. It was called "Your Stars."

The Trailer For The Land of Steady Habits Will Break Your Heart AND Make You Laugh

The trailer for Netflix's The Land of Steady Habits is only a little over two-and-a-half-minutes long, but it will still manage to break your heart. The sense of despair emanating from the trailer will have you hungry to see how it all ends. 50+ Photos That Show the Outpouring of Love at Princess Diana's Public Funeral

When Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car crash in August 1997, it seemed as though the world was mourning just as deeply as her own family. Diana, dubbed "The People's Princess," made an indelible mark on those in the UK as well as around the globe; her funeral, which was held on Sept. 6, was watched or listened to by an estimated 2.5 billion people worldwide - making it one of the most watched events in history. In London, a crowd of nearly one million people gathered to trace Diana's coffin from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey to her final resting place at the Spencer family's home in Althorp.

Diana's sons, Harry and William, followed their mother's coffin alongside their father, Prince Charles, and their uncle Charles, the Earl Spencer. The visibly moved onlookers blanketed the streets with heartfelt notes, bouquets, and teddy bears, and flower petals rained down from bystanders along the procession route. People also gathered in Hyde Park, where the ceremony was being aired on a giant screen, while celebrities like Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Hillary Clinton, and Elton John attended the official ceremony inside Westminster Abbey. We're looking back on the outpouring of love from the public at Diana's funeral. Scroll through to see all the tearjerking photos.

You Can Increase Your Wrist Strength With These 5 Exercises

Our wrists are key joints, particularly when it comes to some of our favorite fitness moves: burpees, push-ups, planks, mountain climbers, pull-ups, Downward-Facing Dogs, and many more. Where we concentrate on the muscle groups they support, such as the arms and shoulders, we often neglect the wrists themselves. It is easy to feel wrist strain if we don't give them the same amount of attention the rest of our body gets. The good news is that wrist strengthening is relatively simple - the hardest part is remembering to do it. Get started with these five exercises and make sure to add them into your routine once a week.

Brilliant Freezer Hacks For Preserving Things Other Than Food

I think we can all agree that the freezer is a vital component of the kitchen. Even if you rarely buy prepackaged or frozen meals, the freezer can still be exceedingly useful in prolonging the freshness of most perishable foods, keeping your drinks ice-cold, and even slashing meal-prep time. But here's the thing: the icy appliance offers a handful of other non-food-related benefits as well. From cleaning your favorite denim jeans (sans water) to making your candles last longer, the freezer can be used in the following eight brilliant ways.

12 Times Princess Diana Royally Schooled Us in How to Style Denim

We've got a theory that every denim designer right now has a Princess Diana mood board taped to a wall somewhere. This is because every trend dominating runways and stores right now, from mom jeans to overalls, was first worn by the lady of denim herself. Showcasing her love for the fabric, Diana would often opt for a pair of high-waisted jeans on an off-duty day with her sons, later dressing up the style on tours with oversize blazers and boots. Along with classic jeans, her closet featured a selection of denim shirts, even styled with jeans for a full denim-on-denim look on occasion.

This isn't the first time we've acknowledged Diana's outfits being ahead of their time. Her undeniably iconic style still reigns today, from her love of heavy aviator sunglasses that suited her delicate features to her collection of Summer swimsuits that we're all still shopping right now. (Oh, and hell yes she owned Superga sneakers, worn with jeans, of course.) Scroll to be schooled on how to wear denim now, by someone who was styling it royally well 25 years ago.

The Queen Is Reportedly Lending Eugenie a Wedding Carriage, Because That's What Grannies Are For

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's big day is almost here! We already know that Princess Beatrice will serve as her sister's maid of honor and that the royal's dress will be classic with a twist, but what about the carriage ride? According to Kensington Palace, Eugenie and Jack will "undertake a short carriage procession through part of Windsor High Street" and "the carriage will process through the grounds of Windsor Castle, departing via Castle Hill to proceed along part of the High Street before returning to the Castle via Cambridge Gate."

Vanity Fair reports that the couple will ride in an open-top State Landau carriage, similar to the one Prince Harry and Meghan used for their wedding. The State Landau is mostly used by Queen Elizabeth II during her state visits, but we're sure she has no problem letting her granddaughter borrow it for her wedding. Ahead, check out photos of Eugenie's previous carriage rides to get you ready for the big day!

What Is Going On? A Thorough Review of Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott's Feud

Since the release of their respective albums, Queen and Astroworld, Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott have been quite busy. The albums came out within a week of one another, with Travis's dropping on Aug. 3 and Nicki's on Aug. 11. The critically acclaimed Astroworld debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and held the spot when Queen was released, causing Nicki to come in second. Since then, there have been Twitter rants, awkward red carpet run-ins, and lots of trash talk on the radio. We're not exactly sure when this feud will end, but for now, let's go back to the beginning of when it all started.

Prepare to Melt Over These Adorable Photos of Prince Alexander's First Royal Engagement

At only 2 years old, Prince Alexander just hit a very important milestone: his first royal engagement. On Thursday, the young Swedish royal paid a special visit to the Nynas Nature Reserve in Sweden with his parents, Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip. Alexander officially opened the Prince Alexander Viewpoint and was as adorable as ever as he pulled a ribbon during the inauguration. And things only got cuter from there! Alexander seemed to have a blast as he rode in a horse-drawn carriage and played with the animals. At one point, he even hopped on an oversize fake duck, with help from his mom, of course. Sadly, Alexander's younger brother, Prince Gabriel, wasn't there to witness the monumental moment, but we're sure he's very proud.

David Beckham Is Headed to Australia With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle!

David Beckham is headed to Australia with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - for the 2018 Invictus Games, that is. On Thursday, David announced on Instagram that he was recently named an ambassador of the royal's annual Paralympics-style event.

"I've been lucky enough to meet and work with many serving, veteran, and wounded British armed forces personnel over the years and I've been humbled by the courage, resilience, and spirit shown by each and every one of them. So, I'm incredibly proud to announce I will be an ambassador for this year's Invictus Games in Sydney," David wrote. "The entire Invictus Games team, led by the Duke of Sussex, has achieved remarkable things in such a short space of time, using sport as a powerful force to rehabilitate and unite and I can't wait to be part of the energy and the excellence of the Games this year. @invictusgames2018 #IG2018."

Harry launched the Invictus Games in 2014 to help aid the physical, psychological, and social recovery of active-duty soldiers and veterans. This year's games are set to kick off on Oct. 20 during Harry and Meghan's tour of Australia and New Zealand. Both David and Victoria Beckham are friends of the royal family's, so it makes sense that Harry selected David as an ambassador. Hopefully he brings Victoria along and we can have a repeat of the royal wedding.

Mayim Bialik Is Devastated by the End of The Big Bang Theory: "Am I Happy? Of Course Not"

This week, CBS announced that The Big Bang Theory will end after its upcoming 12th season. According to reports, star Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper, is ready to move on with his career. In the wake of the news, many members of the cast have expressed their feelings about the end in various statements on social media. Among them is Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler. Bialik shared her reaction on Grok Nation, an online community that she founded in 2015. In a new blog post, published on Aug. 23, she said she is "of course" unhappy about the end of the show. She wrote:

Am I happy? Of course not. This has been my job since Melissa Rauch and I joined the cast as regulars in season 4. I love my job. I love my castmates, and I feel such appreciation for our incredible crew, our brave writers, our entire staff, and our amazing fans. So many people are a part of our Big Bang family. This is hard. I love coming to work and pretending to be Amy. She's a riot. She's me, and I am her. And soon she will not be mine to create.

Bialik finished with a few additional thoughts about the upcoming season and how she'll fare as the series inevitably wraps:

But my paying job - the one you know me for - is ending and yes: It's very sad. I fear it's going to be very hard to not cry every day for the next 23 episodes! But, as a cast, we love bringing joy to our viewers and we will continue to do that to the best of our collective ability. Being an actor is profoundly humbling, incredibly gratifying, and terribly complex. Being an employed actor on what is the #1 comedy in America is unbelievable. And the fact that so many people consider us a part of their lives and families is powerful. I don't take any of it for granted.
