The Adorable Thing Kate and William Always Do When They Talk to George and Charlotte
Kate Middleton and Prince William have always had a soft spot for kids. Even before they became a family of five, it wasn't rare to see them interact with some of their youngest fans during official visits and royal tours, and they've since been able to put those skills to good use.
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge do get helped by a nanny, it doesn't stop them from being hands on parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. In fact, Kate and William seem to be approaching parenthood in a way that few other royals have: whatever the occasion, the young parents can often be seen kneeling down when they talk to their adorable children.
By using this technique, Kate and William don't try to assert their authority over George or Charlotte; instead, they are able to look into their eyes, encouraging them to communicate even more and showing them that what they're saying really matters. Of course, this has resulted in William being hilariously scolded by the Queen, but we can't help but love this small gesture.
8 Rules I Always Give My Kids During the Holiday Season
Christmas is hands down my favorite holiday. The season is filled with so much joy, everyone is in a good mood, and there are usually an abundance of cookies and treats wherever you turn. Children, especially, are in a permanent state of excitement, because they know that Santa Claus will be making a stop at their house soon to bring them wonderful presents.
While it's easy for kids to get totally wrapped up (pun intended) in the gift aspect of the holiday, I try my best to remind them that the holiday season is about so much more than getting their favorite toys. To do this, I give them a set of rules to follow every year so they don't lose sight of what Christmas is all about. Keep reading to see them all now.
Target's Car Seat Trade-In Is Back by Popular Demand, This Time With a Twist!
Target's car seat trade-in program is back this September in honor of Baby Safety Month, but this time, with a twist! During past events - like the one this past April in honor of Earth Day - customers were able to recycle any used car seat for a 20 percent discount on a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base, or travel system. This time, however, customers will be able to redeem their coupons for so much more: all of the above, strollers, and select baby home gear such as playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, and bouncers.
Yes, you read that right. A 20 percent off coupon on some of the most high-ticket baby items, simply for recycling a seat your child no longer uses.
If you're interested in participating, all you have to do is bring your used or damaged seat to the drop-off box at Guest Services in your local Target store between Sept. 9 and 22, and a team member will give you a 20 percent off coupon for each seat recycled. Your coupon can then be used in-store or online through Oct. 6.
"Since the program first started in April 2016, more than 306,000 car seats - equaling more than 4.6 million pounds of materials - have been recycled!" reads Target's announcement for the event. Help add to that number with your own unwanted car seats in the coming weeks, and check out some of the amazing items you can grab for 20 percent off with your resulting coupon.
I See Your Insane Workout Schedule, Marky Mark, and I Raise You 1 "New Mom" Schedule
The internet hasn't fully recovered since our beloved Mark Wahlberg shared his impressive workout schedule with us. His days start when many of us are just getting into our REM groove (he wakes up at 2:30 a.m. to get going!), and while all that he's able to accomplish in a 24-hour timespan is seriously impressive, it's also - dare we say - on par with that of a new mom. Raise your hand if you're also getting up at 2:30 a.m?
So what's Mark doing at, say, 9:30 a.m.? He's in the cryo chamber, while the rest of us are in our "crying chamber." Read on to see our version - golf optional.
OMG, These Baby Costumes From Pottery Barn Will Make This Halloween the Cutest Ever
I can hardly take how cute the Pottery Barn Kids costumes are. We're talking teeny-tiny puppies, unicorns, dragons, superheroes, mermaids, and more. Many of these costumes work for children from 0 to 24 months. Pottery Barn Kids is known for making high-quality costumes that will keep your little one cozy and comfortable. The retailer also designs them to be easy to get in and out of for diaper changes. But back to the cuteness: can you even handle it? Look through all of the options so you can see both the costumes and the lovable babies. If you're looking to buy one of these costumes, do it soon. These little gems are going to sell out fast . . . we know it.
Hate Halloween? 10 Just-as-Fun Things to Do Instead of Trick-or-Treating
I can't pinpoint exactly when I started to dislike Halloween, but the older I've gotten, the more deeply I loathe the so-called holiday. Between macabre-themed parties, skimpy costumes, and strangers constantly knocking on my door, I'm pretty much over it. I did think that once I had children of my own, I'd start to appreciate it again - the way I did when I was young and trick-or-treating in my mom's handmade costumes - but instead, I find myself trying to convince my husband that our kids won't miss it (he strongly disagrees).
If you are like me and say "boohoo" to Halloween every year instead of just "boo," there's definitely no reason you and your family have to hide out in a dark house as hordes of children in search of processed sugar invade your neighborhood. You can still get out and have a lot of fun - it just won't revolve around death, monsters, or candy. Here are 10 things you can do instead of trick-or-treating this year to enjoy the day in your own way.
15 Cute and Cozy Pajamas You'll Love to Wear This Holiday Season
We're not sure you need another excuse to buy pajamas, but we found one just in case. This season, treat yourself to a pair of cozy PJs you can wear through the holiday season. Every year, these cozy sets and onesies fly off the shelves faster than we can even type. To make your shopping life easier, we went on a mission to uncover the best pieces you can buy right now. I Don't Let My Kids Eat Their Halloween Candy, but I Swear I'm Not a Witch
Like most kids, Halloween was my favorite holiday growing up. Why? Candy, obviously. The costumes and haunted houses were fun and all, but my goal was to stockpile as much candy as humanly possible, ditch all the garbage nobody wanted (you know who you are, toothbrushes, dimes, and Bit-O-Honey), and see how much of that sweet treasure I could consume in one night.
Now that I'm a parent (who also happens to be a nutritionist), my views toward Halloween have changed just a smidge, and, yes, I am that mom who makes her kids trade in their trick-or-treat candy. Before you call me a bad mom and tell me how my plan is going to backfire in my face when my kids turn into candy-gorging monsters who hide empty wrappers under their bed, hear me out.
It's not easy, but I do try to strike a balance between being overly strict and allowing Halloween to turn into a month-long candy fest. I do this by limiting the number of Halloween activities we participate in and by having my kids turn in most of the Halloween candy they collect.
Seriously, though, when did the entire month of October turn into one long Halloween party? Before I had kids, I naively believed that you celebrated Halloween by trick-or-treating on Oct. 31. Now there are trunk-or-treats, school parties, and something called "Boo at the Zoo." At first, we got wrapped up in the excitement of taking our little guys out to show off their costumes. We quickly realized, however, that they were getting candy pretty much every weekend in October, and Halloween lost some of its sparkle. Now, we limit the festivities to one function during the month of October and then trick-or-treating on Halloween night. It's definitely helped to get the candy situation under control, and bonus, I don't have to constantly say "no" every time my kids whine for "just one more piece."
With the candy they do bring home, we let them go through it and pick out a few of their favorites (who am I to deny someone the joy of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup?), and then they trade in the rest of their candy for a special prize. We don't go over the top with it (I'm pretty sure my oldest chose a lightsaber from Target last year). And this year, I plan to give them a dollar limit and let them choose a toy or a few art supplies they've been asking for.
Even though I don't want all that candy in our house, I still feel guilty just throwing it in the trash. Last year, we found out through Facebook that a local dentist office was accepting candy donations to be sent to our troops overseas. We even have a local grocery store that will trade your candy for fresh produce!
Depending on where you live, you should be able to search the name of your city and "Halloween candy donation" or "candy buy back" and come up with a few options for donating your unwanted candy. If your search comes up empty, you can reach out directly to Operation Gratitude, Operation Shoebox, or Ronald McDonald House to find ways to donate. If all else fails, make this Halloween Candy Graveyard and invite a few friends over so you can share your sugary riches.
I Should Probably Feel Bad About the Halloween Prank I Play on My Kids Every Year, but It's Just Too Good
I love everything about Halloween. From the creative and cute costumes, endless scary movie marathons, and creepy decorations to the haunted house outings and the trick-or-treating, I go all out every year. Since my kids are still pretty young (4 and 6), I have to keep my love for all things spooky in check, but that definitely doesn't mean I still don't have a little festive fun with them. And one of my very favorite Halloween traditions I started with my kids is playing a harmless prank on them every year.
I pick a day during the month of October (I don't do this on actual Halloween because they'll see it coming, so I pick a different day every year) and run to the dollar store to buy a ton of fake bugs, spider rings, and more. While my kids are still sound asleep, I tiptoe into their dark bedrooms and carefully place all of these pretend bugs on their beds. I tiptoe back out, get back into my own bed, and fall back asleep. And every year, my husband and I are woken up by their surprised screams and calls for help once they discover what's all over their beds.
"Ahhhhh! Get off of me!" I hear them yell. They run down the hallway and away from the bugs as fast as they can before quickly remembering the annual prank their dear old mom plays on them year after year. They then start belly laughing uncontrollably and run to check what was put in the other's bed. The hilarity is contagious and quickly fills out whole house with the Halloween spirit.
"Mom! You got us again!" they always say over breakfast that morning before carefully devising a plan to "get mom back." They never do, of course, but just listening to their imaginations think up funny Halloween pranks to play on me (like we're in our very own prank war) makes me feel like a kid again. It makes them even more excited for trick-or-treating, and I get to relive the innocent joys of the Halloween season all over again.
I'm going to keep this family tradition going as long as I can - even when my children are teenagers (I can't wait for those eye-rolls and to hear, "Mom, you're so embarrassing"). Because no matter how old they get, I always want to remember to be silly together, because the trick part can be just as good (if not better) than the treats.
Mom "Learns to Play" Fortnite With the Help of Her Son – And We Can't Stop Stress-Laughing
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right? That may have been the thought process mom Mayim Bialik was going through when she decided to brush up on her video game skills to better understand her sons' obsession with Fortnite.
The actress asked her 9- and 12-year-old sons to teach her how to play, and she videotaped the entire tutorial. As they guided her through her first "Battle Royale" (what?), she discovered that "the buttons on the controller don't relate to the thing on the screen" and that, as her son Fred explained, she can't have a female avatar because "it costs money to be a lady" ("Excuse me?!" she interrupted, rightfully).
About halfway through, she announced that she's completed her training, despite the fact that looking at the screen made her nauseated ("I don't know if I'm wired for this"). Before anyone watching could beg her to stop, she entered her first game, whatever that means.
Aside from that earlier tangent on the patriarchy, Mayim's focus is impressive. Her skills, however? In addition to asking "what's happening?" every 30 seconds, she, well, lost.
To any non-gamer, the nearly 10-minute video is somehow both anxiety-inducing ("It stresses me out that there's a time limit, there's a storm coming, people are going to shoot me and kill me . . .") and highly addictive. But perhaps that's the whole point.
22 Phrases to Stop a Tantrum in Its Tracks
Temper tantrums happen. In fact, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, tantrums are a normal stage of development for kids who are testing their limits and learning how to express their frustrations. In other words, if you have small children, you really can't avoid the occasional fit when they don't get their way, are tired, hungry, or aren't sure how to react in a given situation.
The good news is that a mini (or not so mini) meltdown is a great opportunity to help your child learn how to deal with difficult emotions effectively and calm down. The key is to remain calm yourself, Dacia M. McCoy, Ph.D., BCBA-D, an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati in the Behavior Analysis Programs, tells POPSUGAR. Once you have your emotions in check, there are many phrases you can say to your little one to diffuse the tantrum. Read on to find out the best words to use to keep things under control. And remember that every child and situation is different, so you may need to try several phrases to find the ones that work for you. Dr. McCoy also urges you to keep in mind that sometimes, there are no magic words to end a tantrum, and the best thing you can give your child is time to get their discontent out of their system.

UM, Did Baby Miles Just Say His First Word in Chrissy Teigen’s Latest Video?
I'm freaking out pic.twitter.com/rlRlDA7AH5
- christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) September 13, 2018
Chrissy Teigen's 3-month-old son may or may not have just said his first word. The mom of two says she's "freaking out," and after seeing the accompanying video, we're over here screaming. Sitting with Miles in front of the camera, Chrissy says, "I don't know if I'm allowed to say anything, but Miles and I are about to have one of the biggest days of our lives, huh, Miles?" And I sh*t you not, the tiny babe smiles, lifts his arm, and screams, "Yeah!"
OK, baby genius, we see you!
9 Nonnegotiable Rules of Visiting a Newborn
Newborns are delicate creatures. Their moms even more so. Visiting the pair, no matter how closely related or emotionally tight you are with the new mom, requires sensitivity, planning, and adherence to a specific set of rules. This is not the time to show up unannounced, apologize for your coughing toddler, and request a cup of coffee. If you want to maintain your friendship or family bond â and ever be invited back again â follow these guidelines.
And if you're a new mom wondering worried about your loved ones' historic lack of boundaries, send them this list today!
This Dad Perfectly Depicted What a "Google Parent" Looks Like, and - Cough, Cough - It's All of Us
Jordan Watson, a father and comedian with his own YouTube channel called "How to Dad," recently broke down the wild and wonderful world of parenting by separating moms and dads up into eight different "types" via video. And obviously, his rendition of each archetype is nothing short of hilarious.
He starts off by describing your run-of-the-mill helicopter parent by physically hovering over his toddler daughter for what he says will be 18 years. And while that's more or less an accurate portrayal, the "parent" that resonates the most with us is hands down the Google parent. How many times have you been furiously typing in a question with your mini me climbing all over you? Probably a zillion.
The second-most-relatable example? The "mum" parent. Because sometimes there are questions only your own mother can answer. Watch through to the end to see which type you are.

New Baby on the Way? Here's Your No-Nonsense Checklist of Everything You Need to Buy
Regardless of where you are in your pregnancy, you've likely come across a monster of a checklist, rife with more products with cutesy names than you even thought existed. And while you likely would find a use for many if not all of those items (shopping cart seat covers, anyone?), it can get overwhelming to try and purchase it all at once . . . especially before you really know what you'll need. If you're looking for a pared-down list of absolute must haves, we put together a baby-prep checklist. Go through it and see what else you need to pick up before your EDD. You'll be surprised at what little you can get away with really needing in the beginning. (Tip: two Popsugar Moms editors skipped the glider chair entirely!)

The 11-year-old country crooner won our hearts (and the hearts of celebrities everywhere) with his rendition of "Lovesick Blues" and ended up visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show, performing at Coachella, and releasing his debut EP. Cool, we were totally doing those things in middle school too . . .

"We figured we met overseas, were engaged overseas, let's get married overseas, too!" Alana told their photographer.
The couple met on a tour while sailing through the Croatian Islands and decided to wed in Maui, where they got engaged. Hailey Baldwin Reveals the Hands-Down Sexiest Thing Justin Bieber Does
Any Justin Bieber superfan worth their weight in Purpose merch has low-key feelings about Hailey Baldwin. I would know; I'm one of them.
On one hand, it's great that the newly engaged supermodel and BareMinerals global ambassador has legs for days and skin that looks like she dragged the Instagram brightness slider waaay to the right. On the other, she's kind of dating my boyfriend.
That doesn't mean I don't still want to be her - I would very much so give my far-shorter left leg for access to her dermatologist or beauty product stash. (Have I mentioned her skin is really, really glowy?) When BareMinerals offered an interview with the new face of its brand, I nearly broke my keyboard responding.
So, what's Baldwin really like? In short: she is sweet, she is funny, and she does not, in fact, carry around a selfie light. She also didn't hold back on what makes a man sexy, the key to looking lit from within, and more. Read her beauty secrets ahead, and you, too, will find it hard not to love her.
Damn it.

The Business of Being Patrick Starrr Is a Lot More Complex Than You Think
Patrick Starrr does things differently.
For starters, you won't catch him participating in internet catfights. (Although, an occasional subtweet isn't out of the question.) He's not hawking out his name to every brand on the planet. And in a beauty industry with a culture that thrives on what's happening now, how to be relevant at this moment, and who's hanging with who, Starrr is focused on the big picture: the future of his career.
Starrr, originally born Patrick Simondac, 28, is an Orlando, FL, native, Filipino-American, and one of the biggest beauty content creators in the industry, known as one of the first "men in makeup" on YouTube. While many influencers of his tenure - he's been filming beauty tutorials since 2013 - might be growing more quickly, his goal isn't to win the influencer rat race. It's to outlive it.
What's It Really Like to Get Volume Lash Extensions? Here's the Truth
I have always longed for luscious, full eyelashes. My natural lashes are pretty average - I have enough to work with when it comes to swiping on mascara, but it definitely takes plenty of effort. As more celebrities have started wearing eyelash extensions, I was intrigued by the process. There have been plenty of horror stories when it comes to the service, so I was hesitant to test it out for myself.
I finally decided to give it a try before a month with lots of events and parties I was planning to attend. I went to Yuel Lash Beauty in San Francisco - the technician who owns the business is a Sugarlash PRO brand ambassador, and that's the product brand she used on me for our session. I was nervous heading into my appointment; I had no idea what to expect. Luckily, Yuel was incredibly kind and explained every single thing she was doing as she did it.
I went in for a classic set of eyelash extensions, but Yuel suggested I try a volume set. A classic set is when only one extension is glued to each natural lash. It adds length and thickness and is great for people who already have a fair amount of lashes. Volume lashes are a newer and more innovative technique where multiple extensions are attached to one lash to give more dimension and texture. They provide a fuller look and require more skill. Technicians usually create custom fans of multiple lashes to put on each hair - you can have anywhere from two to six extensions attached to each individual natural lash, depending on how dramatic you want to go.
For my particular lashes, Yuel attached two or three extensions to each natural lash. I wanted a noticeably thicker lash line, but I didn't want it to be distracting when people looked at my face. For a full set, it took about two hours to complete the look. I laid on my back on a comfy bed-like cushion while Yuel sat behind my head. I closed my eyes and she placed silicone pads under my eyes to keep the bottom lashes out of the way. I hardly felt anything while she applied the extensions; I only felt her brushing through the lashes every so often. It's a painless procedure - you just have to lie still.
When she was finished, I audibly gasped when I looked in the mirror. I felt like the volume lash extensions complemented my eyes and looked incredibly natural. Consider me instantly obsessed. The lashes last for about three weeks - I'm currently in my second week, and they still look fantastic. In fact, I just booked an appointment for a fill because now I can't imagine living without them.
If you're thinking about getting extensions, it's important to have all the information before you book your first appointment. Let's break down the pros and cons for you.
The Pros
You don't have to spend as much time getting ready.
Extensions are better than any mascara I have ever used. When I wake up in the morning, I apply foundation and blush - and that's it. I love that my eyes look nice 24/7, and I get to sleep five extra minutes every day.
They make your eyes stand out at all times.
By having my eyelashes always "done," I look polished no matter where I am. I could be running errands with no makeup on or heading to the office with a full face, and I feel confident no matter what.
The volume extensions look so natural.
Compared to a classic set, volume lashes truly look real. The lighter, thinner extensions are so intricately placed that they look perfect even up close. My friends can't get over how real they look.
The Cons
Not all technicians know what they're doing.
I was lucky to have a technician who is trained in extensions - she's a total expert and used the best products and tools possible. Just because you find a great price for extensions doesn't mean it's a deal you should take; cheaper services may use materials that are lower quality. Look for technicians who partner with trusted brands.
Volume lash extensions are more expensive than classic sets.
Because of the precision required and the caliber of extensions being used, volume lashes are obviously going to cost more. You're paying for a better result, so in my opinion, it's worth it.
Maintenance is key to keeping lashes looking good.
Yuel provided me with special lash cleaner and silicone spoolies that I use every night. I clean my lashes and brush them so that they look fanned out and even. If you get lazy and skip your grooming routine, you could agitate your eye or your lashes could clump together. Honestly, maintaining them isn't that big of a deal. I just include it as part of my routine when I wash my face.
Overall, I had an incredibly positive experience getting volume lash extensions. and I will be returning again. I love how they make me feel and how much time they save me. If you're on the fence, I recommend giving them a try.

Think Iskra Lawrence's Birthday Dress Is Sexy? You Might Want to Check Out Her Insane Mules
Iskra Lawrence, who has always made it a point to share her whereabouts with her followers on Instagram, stepped out in NYC to celebrate her birthday during Fashion Week. The English supermodel was turning 28, and that called for a snazzy dress to wear to dinner at Tao. Iskra, who seems to favor bodyconcious numbers, went with her go-to silhouette: a strapless gown with a thigh-high slit in deep oxblood. While her outfit is clearly about legs, baby, her mules immediately caught our eye.
The Alexander Wang shoes, while not shoppable in Iskra's exact form, have a studded caged strap but appear to be quite difficult to stand in - that is, until you notice the second PVC band across Iskra's toes once you zoom in. Nevertheless, from afar, these heels are daring . . . even more daring, we might suggest, than the dress style Iskra's already mastered. Read on to get a closer look, then shop plenty of similar risqué options.
Rihanna's New York Fashion Week Show Was Unlike Anything We've Ever Seen Before
Rihanna sent shoppers and Fenty fans into a tizzy when her Savage X Fenty lingerie collection dropped online. Maybe it was the fact that the bra sizes range up to 44DDD, or the insanely sexy bedroom accessories, but Rihanna's debut lingerie line was unlike anything we could've expected, which is why it makes perfect sense that her New York Fashion Week presentation would be equally as exciting. After skipping a runway show last season, Rihanna returned to the scene with an immersive experience to close out New York Fashion Week.
She debuted the new Savage x Fenty Fall 2018 collection that immediately became shoppable on her website following the show. While it was Rihanna's first Fashion Week show without Puma, she completely exceeded our expectations and created an attention-grabbing show that rivaled that time she arrived on the back of a motorbike for her Fenty Puma show.
Her presentation, which took place in Brooklyn, introduced new silhouettes and featured different styles of underwear, including sport bras, edgy bralettes, leopard-print slips, oversized satin pajamas, and lace bodysuits. Curve and pregnant models mingled on the runway with Gigi and Bella Hadid, dancing and laughing while surrounded by botanical domes, hydrophonics, and a waterfall. After a 14-minute long show, Rihanna herself joined her team for a grand finale in her re-imagined Garden of Eden. Read on to discover every single look from her latest collection, and re-live the empowering moment by watching the recording of the show. Trust us when we say it's an experience you won't want to miss!

Worried You're a Lawnmower Parent? Follow These Steps to Nip It in the Bud
As moms and dads, our first reaction to learning that our children have a problem is to make it better . . . fast. While protecting our brood from harm is a completely normal reaction, it seems that recently, we've been going a little overboard. And no, we're not talking about your run-of-the-mill helicopter parent. There's a new unflattering trend in town, lawnmower parenting, and it's arguably 10 times worse than hovering around your kid.
So what exactly is lawnmower parenting? According to a now-viral essay written by a teacher, it's a "troubling trend" where moms and dads do everything in their power to ensure their kids never have to face a stitch of adversity or face a challenge head-on, even if it means cutting out of work midday, skipping their hair appointment, or canceling a lunch with friends.
Not sure if you fit the lawnmower parenting profile? Then consider the personal story referenced in the teacher's essay:
"Recently, I was called down to the main office in the middle of my planning period," the teacher explained. "I needed to pick up an item that a parent dropped off for their child. Thinking it was something like an inhaler or money for dinner, I was happy to go retrieve it. When I got to the front office, the parent was holding out a S'well bottle for me."
Who was holding the water bottle? Her doting dad, who stopped by on his way to drop it off, of course.
"'Hi, sorry,' the parent said sheepishly. He was in a suit, clearly headed to work (or something work-like). 'Remy kept texting me that she needed it. I texted back, Don't they have water fountains at your school?, but I guess she just had to have it out of the bottle.' He laughed, as if to say, Teenagers, am I right?"
Sound familiar? If so, scroll through to see how you can nip your lawnmower parenting habits right in the bud. Trust us, your kids will be better off for it in the long run.
1 Mom Made a "Fortnite Detox" Sign For Back-to-School Season, and It's Flippin' Gold
Jenn Bairos, a mom from Toronto, Canada, and a blogger at A Splendid Messy Life, is the first person to admit going back to school can be an emotional rollercoaster for parents and students alike. But in a recent Facebook post, she highlighted an upside to back-to-school season: less time spent playing Fortnite. In an effort to have parents look at the glass half-full, she made a sign for the school door that reads: "Fortnite Detox Begins at 8:20 AM Thursday" - and yup, it's hilariously accurate.
Jenn added a caption to explain where she got the idea. "Inspired by another middle school, my friend and I created this sign for our students, many of whom are on campus today for orientation with their parents." All we can say is, she definitely has a point!

Daniel Radcliffe's Pure Reaction to Harry Potter Memes Will Make You Miss the Wizarding World
Accio all the tissues! On Sept. 12, Daniel Radcliffe made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and I was left with tears from laughing and from sadness. Nostalgia is bittersweet, y'all.
The 29-year-old actor, made famous by his role as the titular character in the Harry Potter franchise, had a purely precious reaction when Jimmy shared some magical memes with him. According to Daniel, he's only seen a couple of these wizarding world-themed memes over the years, but nothing he could "immediately remember."
Lucky for him, Jimmy was well-stocked with a few that left him laughing out loud. Daniel admitted that he felt "uncool" as a kid filming the movies, so seeing these funny memes makes him realize how cool he really was (and is!). Watch the video above to see all the jokes that'll make you miss Hogwarts. My personal favorite? Hermione showing off some serious moves that should probably be taught before the next Yule Ball.
Christina Aguilera Wants to Record a Song With Britney Spears, and Our Playlists Are READY
Christina Aguilera may have grown up in the pre-social-media era, but she knows exactly where it would've helped her: squashing alleged feuds. The 37-year-old singer stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sept. 12 and talked about how certain platforms could've come in handy when rumors of her rivalry with Britney Spears were circling. But don't worry - Christina's far from mad. In fact, she's ready to record.
She explained that while privacy was valued when she was a young artist, there's an advantage to retaking control of your own narrative. "If this was back in the day, whenever people were comparing me to other artists and things were happening, I would've loved to squash it before having an interview," Christina said.
Of course, this led Jimmy to ask her which beef she meant specifically. Christina admitted the "rivalry" around her and Britney Spears might've been different had social media been involved. "If we'd had social media back then, we would've probably done a song together," she shared.
Well, let's make that dream a reality! Like Jimmy said, "It's not too late for that." Can you imagine the powerhouse single that could come from these two queens? Christina said she's "down," so the ball's in Britney's court. Maybe during a Mickey Mouse Club reunion these two can break out some vocals.
Frankie Grande Shares His Commitment to Beating Addiction in Honor of Mac Miller
Frankie Grande shared an emotional message on Wednesday after Mac Miller's death from an apparent overdose on Sept. 7. Ariana Grande's older brother not only took the opportunity to thank Mac (whose real name was Malcolm McCormick) for being a good friend, but also to shed light on addiction - a disease that he has personally struggled with, too. "He was a good friend and was wonderful to my sister. He was the reason I went to the rehabilitation center where I was detoxed safely from all of the drugs, alcohol, and medications I was taking, when I couldn't imagine living without them," Frankie wrote.
The 35-year-old dancer, actor, and singer went on to encourage others not to be afraid to seek help and reminded people they're not alone. "Addiction is a TERRIBLE disease . . . many people are suffering from addiction like I am and many, many of them are losing. Those of us who are struggling with addiction must stay strong. We must continue to work HARD on ourselves every single day and help each other. To anyone who needs help, help is there. You just need to have the courage to ask, which I know can be EXTREMELY difficult . . . but when you do, I GUARANTEE support will be there."
Last week, Ariana shared a personal photo of Mac on Instagram with no caption. Frankie closed out his Instagram caption by saying, "Malcolm, my friend, you will be dearly missed, and I know you will be looking down on me from heaven, proud AF for every day I live my life clean and sober . . . 453 days and counting." Here's Why You Know Andre, American Horror Story: Apocalypse's Most Rational Character
Image Source: Getty / Noel Vasquez
While the new American Horror Story season is the Murder House/Coven crossover, the first episode is focused predominantly on all of the new Apocalypse characters. There are plenty of familiar faces - did you really expect that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters wouldn't be back on day one? - but just one familiar character so far. That's Michael Langdon, Tate Langdon's evil son, who showed up as a toddler in the Murder House finale. The grown-up Michael appears in the fallout shelter at the end of the episode, and it looks like he'll be shaking things up for the earth's few remaining survivors.
One of those survivors is Andre, played by Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. If his face looks familiar to you, he's had a number of pre-AHS roles, playing characters in decidedly better circumstances. Most recently and notably, Bowyer-Chapman played producer Jay Carter on the dating show spoof UnREAL. The show recently wrapped up its final season on Hulu, so Bowyer-Chapman has more time to appear in our favorite terrifying FX series . . . though who knows how long Andre will actually last.
Bowyer-Chapman has appeared in a number of other TV shows, including SGU Stargate Universe, Fairly Legal, and The L Word. And while it's not exactly one of his previous roles, Bowyer-Chapman has also appeared as himself as a guest judge in RuPaul's Drag Race. He's also appeared on the big screen in Dirty Grandpa, alongside Zac Efron and Robert De Niro.
He's clearly a versatile actor, but Bowyer-Chapman's AHS: Apocalypse character is like no one he's played before. In the season's first episode, Andre is in agony over the death of another fallout shelter member, Stu. Wilhemina Venable (Sarah Paulson) and Miriam Mead (Kathy Bates) decide to torture and kill Stu, saying he's affected by radiation and must have ventured outside. But that's not actually the case - they just enjoy watching people suffer. Yeah, these definitely aren't the people you'd want to be trapped in a bunker with for a year and a half.
It's not entirely clear what relationship Stu and Andre had or how they end up in the Outpost Three shelter. They might just have been wealthy, like Coco (Leslie Grossman), though it's also possible that Andre is considered genetically superior, like Timothy and Emily, and is selected for survival. However Stu and Andre ended up there, though, Andre survives the 18 months underground, while Stu doesn't.

Be Patient: Your Favorite American Horror Story Characters Will Appear on Apocalypse
In the months leading up to the debut of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, all the buzz around the series centered around one particular tidbit: that the eighth season of the horror anthology would actually be a crossover between Murder House (season one) and Coven (season three). If you watched Apocalypse's first episode, though, you might be feeling a little confused right now, because none of the characters we know (with one evil exception) show up. Was it all just a big ploy by Ryan Murphy and company?
Not quite. The confusion stems from the fact that a couple of American Horror Story regulars - namely Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters - appear in the first episode of Apocalypse, but not as their Murder House or Coven characters, just as new characters. But that doesn't mean those are the only characters they'll play all season long. Consider the press around Taissa Farmiga's return to the series. Murphy confirmed early on that she would somehow be playing both her previous characters: Violet Harmon from Murder House and Zoe Benson from Coven. If one actor is playing multiple roles, it seems like a safe bet to assume that others will be too.
Several actors besides Paulson and Peters are scheduled to be returning to American Horror Story this season, including all of the members of season one's Harmon family and a good chunk of season three's coven of witches. The last moments of this season's premiere might offer a clue as to how these older storylines will be woven in.
In the final minutes of the episode, Michael Langdon appears. The show's Antichrist is no longer a toddler but a young man, and he's here with a creepy promise to evaluate who among the nuclear survivors is "worthy" to live on. This moment proves that Apocalypse takes place in the same universe as Murder House, and since that season's premise revolved around ghosts, there's at least one mechanism for the Harmons to return. How the witches of Coven will figure in is anyone's guess - although Paulson's new character Ms. Venable seemed to hint that Outpost Three used to be the site of another coven - but it's safe to say that when one mystery gets answered, two more will appear in its place when it comes to American Horror Story!
Joan Collins Is Now the Highlight of American Horror Story, Makes 85 Look Frickin' Fabulous
Let's be honest: one of the best parts about the first episode of American Horror Story: Apocalypse is the induction of Joan Collins into the AHS universe. As Evie Gallant, the deeply fabulous grandmother of Evan Peters's quippy hairdresser, Joan broke the tension in the creepy bunker scenes that made up the bulk of the episode. Her first appearance had her drinking Champagne as a nuclear apocalypse approached - doesn't that tell you everything you need to know?
Joan has been playing these kinds of glam diva roles for a while now: her career stretches back to the 1950s. Born on May 23, 1933, Joan is the oldest cast member on American Horror Story, at the age of 85. She looks amazing, and she can still toss off an insouciant line with the best of them! We can't wait to see Evie's fate as the apocalypse continues this season. In the meantime, check out some of Joan's best moments throughout the years.
How Ms. Venable Hinted at a Male Coven in American Horror Story: Apocalypse
Now that the American Horror Story premiere delivered the apocalypse promised in the trailer, we're at the edge of our seats, wondering what might happen next. Our wild cast of characters are already going crazy after 18 months in Outpost Three, and the powers in place are quite mysterious and menacing. We'll have to save Ms. Mead (Kathy Bates) for another time, because right now all eyes are on the shelter's obvious big bad dragon lady: Ms. Venable. Sure, Wilhemina is, in the simplest terms, a masochist, but there's one thing she said in the premiere that makes us think she may be something else: a witch.
Yeah, that's right. I'm getting the feeling that Ms. Venable used to run a coven . . . and her subjects were all male witches. When Timothy and Emily first arrive at Outpost Three, she tells them a pretty particular fact about the space. "For many years," she says, "it was an exclusive boys' school." Does that sound familiar to anyone? It sounds an awful lot like Miss Robichaux's Academy For Exceptional Young Ladies, which is the front for the witch school in New Orleans run by Cordelia Foxx. There's more evidence to suggest as much: I mean, this is a Coven crossover season, and this creepy, underground structure would certainly be a good space to foster the powers of young boys.
But wait! There's more! If you look back at the 30-second preview - it was only meant to get us excited about the full-length trailer - there's a flash of a moment when Cordelia, Myrtle, and Zoe seem to be entering the outpost. But if you look behind them, you'll see a group of men all dressed identically . . . in rather colonial garb. Could these be the boys of the coven? Could Michael Langdon, who we know is the Antichrist and son of Tate and Vivien, be one of them? It all certainly seems possible, doesn't it?
All we have right now are a few stray pieces of evidence. But rest assured, all will come to light in the weeks that lie ahead.
Viola Davis Thoughtfully Explains Why She Regrets Her Role in The Help
Viola Davis doesn't have many regrets. When asked if she has regretted turning down any roles, the 53-year-old Oscar winner told The New York Times she might regret it "maybe a minute," and then she simply lets it go. In a recent interview with the publication at the Toronto International Film Festival, however, Davis did say she has grown to regret her role in The Help.
In the 2011 drama - which received four Oscar nominations, including a best actress nomination for Davis - the actress portrayed Aibileen Clark, a maid for a well-to-do family in the South. Davis explained her gripe with the film was that it largely focused on the perspective of aspiring writer Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan, portrayed by Emma Stone. "I just felt that at the end of the day that it wasn't the voices of the maids that were heard," Davis said.
"I know Aibileen. I know Minny. They're my grandma. They're my mom."
Elaborating, Davis said she wished the film dove deeper into the perspectives of its actual subjects. "I know Aibileen. I know Minny. They're my grandma. They're my mom," she said. "And I know that if you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and to bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it. I never heard that in the course of the movie."
Then again, Davis said the movie bonded her with actresses that would go on to be her friends and go on to work with again, including Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain. "The friendships that I formed are ones that I'm going to have for the rest of my life," she said. "I had a great experience with these other actresses, who are extraordinary human beings."
