Rihanna Just Wore the Head-to-Toe Python Look That Hasn't Been Done Since J Lo

OK, Rihanna, what's back in style: head-to-toe python, the bucket hat, or both? The songstress and entrepreneur stepped out in Sydney, Australia, to celebrate the anniversary of her Fenty Beauty line, and she chose a memorable look for a memorable evening. Rihanna threw it back to the early aughts in an Atelier Versace combo consisting of a strapless minidress and cap, but the Christian Louboutin ankle-strap pumps and matching Mark Cross mini bag were her own additions.

The all-out animal print immediately reminded us of Jennifer Lopez's blue Dsquared2 ensemble from 2014, which she wore to an American Idol photocall. But the trend even harks back to the '90s, when the Spice Girls were sporting the snake pattern on crop top and bell-bottom pant sets, along with lingerie slips.

If, like us, you appreciate a good throwback, whether it's on the carpet or the street, you'll love admiring Rihanna's latest - accessorized with diamonds from Chopard - and comparing it to J Lo's similar moment. And if all that nostalgia sparks enough excitement, you just might want to tap into this whole python thing with a new dress too.

I Fasted 12 Hours For 21 Days - Here Are the 3 Major Changes That Happened to My Body

As a fitness editor, I often write about diets like the low-carb, high-fat keto diet and body-type eating to educate people on the various ways they can reach their health goals. I don't follow a specific diet, but I recently decided to try the Clean Program, a 21-day detox created by Dr. Alejandro Junger, after a client of mine raved about it. I took a lot away from my experience on the program, and one component of the cleanse that I found to be extremely effective is the 12-hour fasting window.

12:12 is a type of intermittent fasting (IF) - a way of eating where the body uses fat as an energy source instead of glucose. Instead of eating whenever you want throughout the day, you're limited to consuming your daily caloric intake within a 12-hour window, and then required to fast for the other 12 hours. This means that if you eat dinner at 8 p.m., you won't have breakfast until 8 a.m. the following morning. 12:12 is considered to be the easiest type of IF, and as a rookie, I have to admit is wasn't hard to follow at all. Continue reading to find out the changes that happened to my body over the span of 21 days.

I Felt Extremely Hungry in the Beginning

As suggested by Dr. Junger in his book Clean, I decided to write down my daily meals and how I felt each day on the program. My first three days of notes talk about how terrible I am at making tasty shakes and how hungry I felt when I woke up. Most days, I wake up between 4:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to train clients, work out, and then get to work. Before starting Clean, I would have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, and not being able to do this during the cleanse was hard initially.

Around day 10, I began to notice that the extreme feelings of hunger I had experienced were beginning to subside. I won't say that I didn't feel an ounce of hunger as I continued the program, but I no longer felt like I was starving. It also helped that I began hacking my shake the night before, adding more fat and protein to hold me over until I broke the fast.

I Discovered I Had Bloating Issues

I never considered myself to be a person who experienced bloating, except for on my period, but after doing the 12-hour fast for 21 days, I realized that I do get bloated, especially when I consume too much dairy and grains. The pressure, gas, and cramping I had previously experienced at times in my lower abdomen had finally gone away. As I began to reintroduce these food groups back into my diet to identity triggers, I confirmed that consuming too much dairy and grains irritated both my stomach and skin.

I Stopped Mindlessly Snacking

I'm the person who will eat whatever is in my home, whenever. Cocoa Puffs in the kitchen? Definitely eating those. A bag of sweet and salty organic popcorn? Gone in two hours. I also have a habit of eating a meal and then snacking afterward. Not because I'm hungry, but because I'm bored or not in the best of moods. The 12-hour fast helped me notice and reduce this habit, and I'm happy to report that on most days, I've eliminated my snacking-just-to-snack habit.

Overall, I found 12:12 to be extremely easy to follow. I completed the Clean Program a month ago, and although I refuse to completely cut out cookie dough ice cream, this is definitely a habit I plan on keeping.

Trying Weight Watchers? Here's a Full Week of Meals to Get You Started

When you start a new diet or healthy lifestyle, it can be so hard to figure out exactly what to eat day in and day out. And if you're anything like me, you can also fall into a rut of eating the same thing every day - once I've figured out the nutritional information for a dish, it's easier to keep eating it than to spend time researching something new.

Fortunately, when it comes to Weight Watchers, you can easily use the app to scan the barcode of a package to get the SmartPoints value. There's also the handy rule of thumb that fruits and vegetables are 0 SmartPoints. Over time you'll learn the SmartPoints values of foods you eat again and again and be able to rack up your daily totals in your head. Until then, we've put together a week of meals and snacks to get you started.

Using a daily SmartPoints base of 25, this meal plan includes three meals and a snack for seven days. You can find all the recipes you'll need here, and if your SmartPoints daily base is less or more than 25, there's a little wiggle room each day to add an extra snack or take something out.

13 of the Best Places to Celebrate Halloween Around the World

For more than a century, Halloween has been heralded as a major holiday in the United States, as people celebrate all things that go bump in the night. Initially a pagan holiday, All Hallows' Eve will find children trick-or-treating in their spookiest costumes and adults attending parties in homes and clubs lit by jack-o'-lanterns and orange bulbs shining through a fog of cobwebs. The United States, however, isn't the only place to celebrate the season. Continue reading to find out how people observe Halloween and other Fall holidays all around the world.

DIY Poo-Pourri: How to Make Your Own Smell-Suppressing Concoction

Gone are the days of air fresheners and lighting a scented candle after you go No. 2 in the bathroom.

Poo-Pourri, aka the world's greatest invention ever, is a spray that one uses before going to the bathroom to mask any unwanted smells that come with pooping because, let's face it, nobody's poop smells like roses (except for maybe Beyoncé, of course).

What makes Poo-Pourri spray different than standard air fresheners is that you spray it directly into the toilet bowl before you go, rather than spraying it into the surrounding air after the fact.

It smells wonderful and it's innovative, but it can be a bit costly. It costs $13 for a two-pack of the 1 oz bottle on Amazon, and for those on a budget (especially if you have a house full of roommates or family members), that can add up.

But have no fear! We have some instructions on how to make your very own Poo-Pourri at home.

Here's What You Need:

  • 2 oz spray bottle
  • Essential oils
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Water

10 Urban Outfitters Tech Gadgets That Are a Blast From the Past

Throughout recent years we have witnessed many different comebacks - from those on the television screen (hello, Will and Grace) to those in fashion (like the resurgence of '80s sportswear and '90s scrunchies). However, one of our favorite blasts from the past may be the one involving tech gadgets. Princess phones, cassette players, CD players, and vintage Polaroid cameras are all re-emerging, and we are so excited for it.

Many of these tech gadgets from yesterday can be found at Urban Outfitters, which is kind of bonkers but awesome. The Sneaky Way Halloween Is Ruining Your Skin - and What To Do About It

Halloween is all fun and games until someone dressed as Pennywise drinks too much zombie gut punch and trips over the cauldron of Kit Kats. But besides the next-day regret that's often fueled by fuzzy memories and a few unknown bruises, you can also blame your splotchy, dry, hungover skin on the a-a-a-a-alcohol.

"Drinking alcohol dehydrates the body and skin, which can make you look puffy and bloated," said dermatologist Debra Jaliman, MD. "It also creates a histamine reaction, because it causes the facial blood vessels to dilate, causing redness and flushing." (Oh, and then there's this part that dermatologist Josh Zeichner, MD, pointed out: "Some data suggest that alcohol lowers the skin's antioxidant defenses, meaning it cannot protect itself from the environment as well as it should.")

That's the bad news. The good news is that not all spooky cocktails are created equal, nor do they have the same effect on your face. So when the only way to survive a night filled with candy-hyped children in princess costumes is with an adult beverage, we're breaking down the scary-good products that do a little damage control.

These 10 Exercises Will Help You Build Muscle and Tone Your Butt

It's true what they say, "If you don't use it, you'll lose it." When it comes to your gluteal muscles, this is 1,000 percent true. It doesn't matter if you feel like you were shortchanged in the butt department or you have one like Jennifer Lopez's. In order to keep your butt strong, round, firm, lifted, toned, tight - whatever adjective you like to use - you've got to constantly work your gluteal muscles.

Whether your physical therapist has prescribed activating your glutes to help with an injury, you're looking to improve your performance during workouts, or you're just here for vanity, I've got some exercises that will get the job done and really work your glutes. The 10 exercises ahead are not meant to be done as one workout. If you do that, you're in for jello legs and an extremely sore lower body. Instead, pick three to five that really speak to you and begin doing them two times a week. You can opt to use heavy weight and do fewer reps and sets (four to six sets of one to five reps), or you can do them with light to medium weight and more reps and sets (one to three sets of 12-20 reps).

Now that you've got the moves to work your glutes, don't forget to adjust your daily caloric intake as needed. You may begin to feel hungrier since you're building muscle, and that's absolutely normal. The more you work out, the more energy you expend, which means the more food you'll need to recover and refuel.

3 Canned Foods That Are the Best For Your Health - and 3 That Are the Absolute Worst

If you're heading down the aisles of the grocery store looking for canned goods but unsure which types might be the healthiest, your struggle is over. First off, there are some canned goods that are better than others, so it's smart to go fresh or frozen, instead, when necessary. Also, you'll want to read labels, as sodium, sugar, and calories can vary based on brand names and whatever substances the food is canned in, explains Keri Gans, MS, RDN, CLT. When it comes to canned goods, they do offer convenience, so it makes sense that you're looking to save time and effort in the kitchen. However, when it comes to nutrition, canned goods differ, so it's worth knowing when to ditch the can and when you're in the clear. Here are the three best and three worst foods you can eat in a can.

Can You Have Watermelon on the Keto Diet? This Dietitian and Keto Expert Explains

There's no denying that the keto diet is all the rage; the high-fat, moderate-protein, superlow-carb diet has helped countless people lose impressive amounts of weight. By cutting back so drastically on carbs, the keto diet turns to burning fat for fuel instead of carbs, which puts your body into the fat-burning state of ketosis.

On the keto diet, you should eat 50 grams or fewer of carbs a day. So what does that mean for the foods you can eat? Surprisingly, fruit, which is higher in carbs and fructose than many other natural whole foods, isn't off-limits; you just need to be careful which fruits you decide to eat. Take watermelon, for example: the delicious Summer treat clocks in at 22 grams of carbs and 18 grams of sugar, with less than two grams of fiber per two-cup serving.

"This amount of sugar and carbs can raise blood sugar and insulin levels and shut off ketone production," registered dietitian Sarah Koenck, member of the clinical team at Virta Health, told POPSUGAR. "To maintain nutritional ketosis, most people need to stick with around 50 grams of carbs or less. Given the high-carb content in watermelon, it is not a good option to include in your ketogenic meal plan."

Instead, Sarah recommends eating other lower-sugar fruits, such as berries (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries), tomatoes, and avocados on the keto diet. In general, the keto diet should consist primarily of leafy greens and non-starchy vegetables, meat and protein, fats, nuts, and oils, and full-fat dairy.

Of course, you don't need to swear off watermelon forever - a bite or two won't throw you out of ketosis. Talk with your doctor or registered dietitian to figure out the best way to do a ketogenic diet for your lifestyle.

You Can Get a Whole30-Approved Meal at Chipotle — Just Follow This Guide

There's seemingly no end to the impact the Whole30 diet can have on your health. It's known to help break bad habits, increase energy levels, clear your skin, ease anxiety, and more. Like most worthwhile endeavors, though, it isn't easy.

Take something as simple as grabbing a quick meal at Chipotle. If you've read the rules, you already know tortillas, chips, rice, corn, beans, and cheese are off the menu. But in Whole30, it's not just the foods that matter, but also how they're prepared. Chipotle's meats, as well as the fajita veggies, are cooked in non-compliant rice bran oil. That doesn't mean you have to skip the place altogether - take these steps to build a healthy meal that even a Whole30 coach would be proud of:

  1. First ask for leafy greens: No matter the diet, you can always start with a salad. At Chipotle, that's a bowl of fresh romaine lettuce.
  2. Get the carnitas: The founders of the Whole30 program recognize that it'd be near impossible to dine out if they banned all vegetable oils from the diet. With the exception of the carnitas - which are made using sunflower oil - all of the meats at Chipotle are cooked in non-compliant rice bran oil. While not recommended for daily use, limited intake of sunflower oil is allowed on Whole30.
  3. Instead of veggies, opt for salsa: Since rice bran oil is a no-go, you'll have to pass on the fajita veggies. Salsa is a tasty alternative, though, and it doubles as a dressing. The Tomatillo-Green Chili Salsa, Tomatillo-Red Chili Salsa, and Fresh Tomato Salsa are all Whole30-approved, so choose your favorite or ask for all three.
  4. Top it off with guacamole: If you don't add guac, did you even go to Chipotle? Seriously, though, order the guacamole - you'll get a heaping dose of healthy fats that'll leave you satisfied until tomorrow's sugar-free, grain-free breakfast.

I'm a CrossFitter, and These Are the High-Protein Vegan Dinners I Make Every Week

Since I don't eat meat or dairy products and only eat eggs occasionally (when I get them from my friend's free-roaming backyard hens), getting enough protein at dinner time can be a slight challenge. Although I love filling up on a big, fresh bowl of salad, it doesn't offer much in the protein department. And since I'm doing CrossFit regularly, my body needs protein to heal and grow my big-ass muscles. Here are the high-protein vegan dinner recipes I swear by. Each offers at least 15 grams of protein, and each recipe is absolutely delicious and satisfying.

The 1 Nut Dietitians Say to Avoid If You're Trying to Lose Weight

If you're trying to lose weight, you've probably heard that nuts are a healthy snack that can help you achieve your weight-loss goals. And it's true; nuts are full of healthy fats and protein that will keep you feeling satisfied.

But there are some nuts that are healthier than others. Pistachios, for example, are about 160 calories per ounce (about 50 kernels), and one ounce of almonds is about 160 calories for approximately 23 kernels. On the flip side, macadamia nuts are about 200 calories and 20 grams of fat for just 10 nuts.

"If you are trying to lose weight, I would avoid macadamia nuts because of their caloric density," registered dietitian Michelle Routhenstein, MS, CDE, owner of Entirely Nourished, told POPSUGAR. She added that it's possible to overdo it on any nut, especially if you're not measuring out a serving size. If you just grab handfuls of nuts throughout the day and aren't careful, you could be eating hundreds of extra calories a day, which will impede your weight-loss efforts. Michelle recommends sticking to a one-ounce serving size.

Registered dietitian and personal trainer Jim White, RD, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, agreed that portion size is the biggest problem when it comes to eating nuts. Although he said all nuts can fit into a healthy lifestyle if you portion them out correctly, he agreed that macadamia nuts can be the trickiest since they have the most calories and only two grams of protein per nut.

That doesn't mean you should give up macadamia nuts entirely; they can totally fit into your weight-loss plan as long as you are careful with the serving size and allot for their calories - that is, don't just grab handfuls throughout the day. In general, you should always measure out your food, especially if you're eating something particularly calorie-dense, such as nuts, oils, or avocados.

Farewell, Crunches - Do These 11 Standing Exercises For Tighter, Stronger Abs

Crunches are an ab exercise I wish people would retire. They aren't that effective and can actually do more harm than good, especially if you're dealing with lower-back pain.

The 11 exercises ahead are great options if getting down on the floor is a hassle, you'd just rather not deal with the germs on the mat, or you're in need of new moves for your core routine.

Don't do all these moves at once unless you want to be extremely sore the following day. Instead, choose four to six exercises and add them into your workout, or do them alone for a quick ab blast.

You'll work out three times a week for four weeks. Ideally we'd like you to do the strength sessions with a lighter activity day in between (swimming, yoga, etc.), but we do understand that life happens, so move them around to fit your schedule! The first two weeks will be very simple but still challenging. On weeks three and four, the sets and reps will increase. A sample week will look like the following:

  • Monday: Week 1, Workout A
  • Tuesday: Foam roll for 15 minutes
  • Wednesday: Week 1, Workout B
  • Thursday: 20-minute easy run
  • Friday: Week 1, Workout C
  • Saturday: Hour long walk
  • Sunday: Yoga

For the exercises that require weight, start with either 7.5-pound or 10-pound dumbbells. If this feels too light or too heavy, make necessary adjustments. It's more important to master the movement than to move carelessly with heavier weights. Don't forget to warm up and cool down after every workout. For your warmup you can do an easy run or dynamic exercises to activate your muscles like butt kicks, high knees, plank saws, and glute bridges.

Since you're being more active, you will more than likely notice that you have a larger appetite. Listen to your body and fuel it with nutritious foods like vegetables, protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Drink lots of water and be sure to replace the electrolytes you've lost with a sports drink or electrolyte tablets.

  • Water

There Are 2 New Kinds of Funnel Cake Fries at Disneyland, So BRB While We Stuff Our Faces

First Disneyland had us fawning over its Fruity Pebbles funnel cake fries, and now there is not one but two new Fall flavors to lose your Mickey-loving mind over. Over at the epically named Award Wieners eatery in Disney California Adventure Park, you can now find seasonal twists on the popular fried fair treat: pumpkin spice funnel cake fries and cookies and cream funnel cake fries. The pumpkin spice funnel cake fries are dusted with sparkly pumpkin spice sugar then drizzled with a pumpkin spice sauce and topped with a heaping pile of pumpkin spice whipped cream. The cookies and cream funnel cake fries are topped with crushed Oreo cookies and whipped cream and then drizzled with chocolate sauce.

So are they as tasty as they look? We tried them so you don't have to (except in this case, you WILL want to), and here's what we think:

The fries are a little chewy, which is probably so they hold up under all the toppings and sauces, but I had hoped they would have a more light and airy texture like a true fair funnel cake. That said, they were still good and addictive. I'm not a huge pumpkin spice fan (I know, I know), so I preferred the cookies and cream, which were a chocolate-lover's dream. The pumpkin spice fries were more on the sweet than spicy side, but the sauce did have a distinct pumpkin pie flavor, and my friend who is a fan of pumpkin spice thought they were quite good. So you can't go wrong!

We Tried Disneyland's New Pumpkin Spice Shake, and It Tastes Like . . .

When it comes to Fall treats, Disneyland is not holding back this year, and if you're a pumpkin spice fan, run, don't walk to the Anaheim theme park. In addition to the pumpkin spice funnel cake fries, pumpkin spice Mickey beignets, and pumpkin spice churros, there is now a pumpkin spice milkshake - I repeat, a pumpkin spice milkshake - and we're here to give you the delicious details.

The shake is drizzled inside out with caramel sauce and topped with a heaping pile of whipped cream, graham crackers, and pumpkin-spice sugar. Because I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin spice, I had my friend Heather, a pumpkin spice aficionado, taste it as well and share her review. (Spoiler: she loved it.)

"It tasted like a pumpkin s'more," was her assessment. "There definitely wasn't any 'spice' to it. No cinnamon or nutmeg. More pumpkin, toasted marshmallow, and caramel flavors." She added that she thinks the graham crackers were what gave her a "cozy Fall campfire treat vibe." Her pro tip? Have napkins ready, because this seasonal treat gets messy!

You can pick up the pumpkin spice shake at Flo's V8 Café in Disney California Adventure for $6. The reusable light-up tire jack-o'-lantern straw (made from actual rubber tire tread!) is an additional $6 and can also be purchased at the Cozy Cone Motel. Drool over more photos of this ooey, gooey delight ahead!

Keira Knightley Criticizes the Expectations Set on Kate Middleton After Giving Birth

Keira Knightley is ready to abandon the BS expectations on mothers following childbirth. In an intimate and powerful essay addressed to her young daughter, the 33-year-old actress gave a raw account of her own experience giving birth and heavily criticized the way society views famous mothers immediately after having a child.

According to Refinery29, Keira wrote "The Weaker Sex" for a collection of essays titled Feminists Don't Wear Pink (And Other Lies), and gave an honest retelling of the pain and love that went into bringing her daughter into the world.

"My vagina split," she wrote. "You came out with your eyes open. Arms up in the air. Screaming. They put you on to me, covered in blood, vernix, your head misshapen from the birth canal. Pulsating, gasping, screaming."

Her refreshingly candid recounting of the experience continued, as she described her first experience breastfeeding. She said, "You latched on to my breast immediately, hungrily, I remember the pain. The mouth clenched tight around my nipple, light sucking on and sucking out. . . I remember the sh*t, the vomit, the blood, the stitches."

"I remember my battleground. Your battleground and life pulsating. Surviving. And I am the weaker sex? You are?"

While women are absolute warriors after giving birth, and their bodies the "battleground" Keira described, she took aim at the societal expectation which compels some mothers in the spotlight to project perfection. She used Kate Middleton as such an example, since the duchess gave birth to Princess Charlotte the day after Keira had her daughter.

"We stand and watch the TV screen. She [Kate] was out of hospital seven hours later with her face made up and high heels on. The face the world wants to see . . . Hide. Hide our pain, our bodies splitting, our breasts leaking, our hormones raging. Look beautiful. Look stylish, don't show your battleground, Kate. Seven hours after your fight with life and death, seven hours after your body breaks open, and bloody, screaming life comes out. Don't show. Don't tell. Stand there with your girl and be shot by a pack of male photographers."

Despite Kate's unbelievable turnaround time and polished appearance, even a royal cannot escape the irksome critiques made of many mothers, whether it's about her postbaby body or having a nanny. This ridiculous pressure and unfair expectations are exactly what Keira's essay appears to rail against, in the hopes that the raw reality of childbirth and motherhood will one day be accepted more readily than the perceived perfection.

This Dad Has Dressed His Son Up in So Many Disney Costumes, It's Impossible to Pick a Favorite

Tucker Bohman has been a fan of the Toy Story movies since he was a kid, so when he and his wife found out they were having a son, it was only fitting that their gender reveal on Instagram was the film's logo with the words "Boy Story" and that at 2 days old, little Beckham, also known as "Hamm," was photographed in a Woody onesie surrounded by stuffed character toys Tucker had collected. After that, Tucker changed his Instagram handle to @ToyStoryDad and began posting a photo a week to his feed of Hamm dressed in various Disney costumes, from other Toy Story favorites such as Buzz Lightyear and Slinky Dog to Prince Charming, Olaf, and Aladdin.

"In early 2018 we took a trip to Disneyland and had Hamm dressed as Woody, and everyone at Disneyland was obsessed with him," Tucker told POPSUGAR. "We had crowds around us everywhere we went. People were asking to take his picture and talking about him throughout the park. We then had someone approach us and say, 'Hey, it's Toy Story Dad.' I couldn't believe that someone actually recognized us."

"Everyone at Disneyland was obsessed with him!"

From that point on, Tucker and his wife decided to start posting Hamm's costume photos daily, which required getting creative and hand-making most of his costumes. And because the family had a yearly pass, many of Hamm's costumes made their way to Disneyland. "We seriously just love what we do," Tucker said. "It is A LOT of work designing and creating these costumes, but the joy we spread around the world makes it more than worth it."

Scroll through to see some of our favorite costumes of Hamm's, and be sure to follow Tucker on Instagram for more (starting Oct. 1, the hashtag #HammsHappyHaunts will be populated with one Disney villain costume per day in the month of October - and we can't wait to see Hamm in each one!).

Watching This Mom "Learn" to Play Fortnite With Her Kids Is Literally All Of Us

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right? That may have been the thought process mom Mayim Bialik was going through when she decided to brush up on her video game skills to better understand her sons' obsession with Fortnite.

The Big Bang Theory actress asked her 9- and 12-year-old sons to teach her how to play, and she videotaped the entire tutorial. As they guided her through her first "Battle Royale" (what?), she discovered that "the buttons on the controller don't relate to the thing on the screen" and that, as her son Fred explained, she can't have a female avatar because "it costs money to be a lady" ("Excuse me?!" she interrupted, rightfully).

About halfway through, she announced that she's completed her training, despite the fact that looking at the screen made her nauseated ("I don't know if I'm wired for this"). Before anyone watching could beg her to stop, she entered her first game, whatever that means.

Aside from that earlier tangent on the patriarchy, Mayim's focus is impressive. Her skills, however? In addition to asking "what's happening?" every 30 seconds, she, well, lost.

To any non-gamer, the nearly 10-minute video is somehow both anxiety-inducing ("It stresses me out that there's a time limit, there's a storm coming, people are going to shoot me and kill me . . .") and highly addictive. But perhaps that's the whole point.

15 Things You Should Stop Freaking Out About as a Mom Right Now

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me how fast the time would fly after I had my first baby, I would be a very wealthy woman. I feel as though I blinked and now I'm suddenly missing my little baby (who isn't so little anymore) while she's in school. At this stage, my memories of my life before my kids are vague at best, but I do know that my priorities were very different. I worried about things like Starbucks discontinuing my favorite drink or if I could actually handle being a mom and keeping up with my teaching career. Then, when I decided to become a stay-at-home mom, I worried about keeping my house clean, preparing restaurant-worthy meals, and ensuring that my child(ren) would know their letters, numbers, a second language, and the basics of playing an instrument all before kindergarten rolled around. I know, I know, lofty goals. I was young and naive. But then the clocks sped up, and everything changed.

In the blink of an eye, my daughter turned 4 and became a big sister to twins. And if the clock wasn't going fast enough before, it sure is now. My twins were seemingly born yesterday, and they'll be nine months old in a few days. Now, instead of worrying about trivial things like my living room being clean, I worry about my children: Are they happy? Healthy? Safe? I worry about the fact that if something were to happen to me or my husband, our girls wouldn't even remember us. Looking back at the things I used to worry about, I can't help but laugh at the silliness of it all. Because in the end, the amount of time we have with our babies is so fleeting, and in five days, five weeks, five months, or even five years, none of those trivial things will matter. So, if you're feeling a little stressed out or overwhelmed with the whole parenting thing (Who hasn't?), keep reading for 15 things you can breathe in and let go of right now.

Chris Hemsworth Said Having Kids Is "More Important" Than His Acting Career, and We're Melting

Chris Hemsworth, a dad of three and the actor known for playing Thor in the Marvel franchise, admitted that being a father definitely affected his career. In an interview with GQ Australia, he said that although he sometimes wonders what he'd be doing professionally had he not met his wife Elsa Pataky and started a family, he has no regrets.

"There [are] times when I've thought, 'Wow, because having kids is more important to me, some of my roles have suffered,'" said the 35-year-old actor. "There [are] definitely a couple of films I could've put way more energy into but I was like, 'No, I'd rather be with my kids.'"

"You have to open yourself up and go, 'Well, you had kids so you forfeited a bit of that.'"

He also explained that while he does everything with his 6-year-old daughter India Rose and his 4-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan in mind, he still tries to accomplish personal goals as well.

"I often find myself saying it's all for my family but in all this I definitely have personal things I need to achieve, too," said Chris. "The difference is you have to open yourself up and go, 'Well, you had kids so you forfeited a bit of that.'"

Chris added that starting a family boils down to teamwork in a lot of ways: "It can't be a truly individual, selfish endeavor, but we still need to take care of our own. Now my identity is another team, another community - the community being the family. You have to adapt and be malleable."
