Lazy Oaf's Daria Collection Is the Best New Thing in This "Sick, Sad World"
Lazy Oaf just released a Daria-inspired collection, and, to quote the misanthropic character, "I'm overcome with emotion." The range of apparel, outerwear, and accessories is a nostalgic nod to the animated MTV series, which first premiered over two decades ago. While there's a lot to love about this collection, our favorite might be Lazy Oaf's replication of Quinn's pink shirt, as well as the green cardigan featuring Daria's face in place of a logo.
The collection might also offer a quick solution for a last-minute Halloween costume that fans can wear beyond the holiday. Already available online, prices range from $19 for a pin pack to $155 for a cozy shearling jacket. Check out the cartoonish campaign ahead, and then browse through the entire collection.
Naomi Campbell, the Queen of Fashion, Shut Down the Moschino x H&M Runway
Which designer can get all of the Hadid siblings and Naomi Campbell in one place, you ask? Jeremy Scott, of course. The designer brought everyone together for the highly anticipated Moschino [tv] H&M runway show, and boy, was it something. When I first received the invite, which came in a phone case from the collection, I could tell it would be an interesting show, and I was not disappointed. I walked into Pier 36 to see the catwalk covered with TVs and blinking neon signs that reminded me of Times Square.
"The Moschino [tv] H&M collection is a gift to my fans and I wanted to give them the most Moschino collection ever. I tried to include all the ingredients you would expect from one of my shows - cartoon couture mixed with a street wear vibe doused with hip hop worthy amounts of bling bling to create a totally Moschino look," Scott said.
Gigi Hadid opened the show by walking down a staircase in a gold sequined coat, sweater dress, big peace earrings, and a logo-covered eye mask to the tunes of an old New York musical. Her sister Bella walked the runway in a sexy leather minidress while their brother Anwar wore a head-to-toe leather ensemble. Their mom, Yolanda Hadid, proudly watched from the celeb-filled front row, which also included Paris Jackson, Bebe Rexha, and Coco Rocha, to name a few.
Perhaps the most memorable moment was when Naomi Campbell, aka the only queen who matters, IMO, closed the show in a shimmering silver dress. The supermodel was met with cheers as she took a lap around the runway while JAY-Z and Alicia Key's "New York (Empire State of Mind)" blared in the background. See more photos from the show ahead.
Chrissy Teigen's Collection Takes Her From Date Night With John to Preschool With Luna
If you think that being a highly sought-after model, mother to two adorable children, and New York Times bestselling author would slow down Chrissy Teigen, think again. Chrissy, who recently released her first collection with Revolve, is back for another round, and I got to chat with her to learn more about the exciting collab.
"I've shown my body, and I'm over that. Now, I just like hints of skin, and John appreciates it, too, honestly. He loves an open slit because he's never been into the in-your-face, supersexy outfits."
While the first drop featured flirty dresses and bustiers, the second drop is equally sexy. However, you might be surprised to learn it's not the red jumpsuit with the plunging neckline, satin minidress, or ruffled black dress with the slit leg that Chrissy is most excited about.
"I still love showing off a hint of skin, even when I'm being comfy and cozy. I love pulling the neckline of a shirt and having it drape off my shoulder, and I did that with the sweaters I have in this collection," Chrissy told me during our interview.
With prices ranging from $78 to $498, some of the new pieces are a little more expensive than the first go around, but they are most definitely worth the investment. Read on to see what she had to say about the collection, then shop pieces from the drop, which is available now on Revolve.
You Haven't Seen the Full Effect of Meghan Markle's Latest Dress Until She Turns Around
We'd venture a guess that there's likely nothing Meghan Markle can't pull off, but that doesn't mean the Duchess of Sussex doesn't have a signature style. While on tour with Prince Harry, Meghan's selected from a number of designers, with some commonalities. Australian designer Martin Grant's been largely in rotation, as have a quite a few midi-length fit-and-flare dresses, but on the heels of her appearance at the Invictus Games closing ceremonies, we're noticing another trend: the duchess may have a thing for olive green.
Meghan slipped into an olive green halter dress by Antonio Berardi to address the crowd at the Invictus Games, while she selected an olive green striped Martin Grant dress on tour just days before. Prompted to do a little digging, we've found that she's been wearing the color since 2013, long before she joined the royal family, though she also memorably wore an olive sheath to Prince Louis's christening.
Color aside, this may be one of her boldest royal looks to date - just get a load of that back. The tuxedo-style halter dress revealed a bit more skin from behind. It's another example of Meghan taking a more casual approach to the royal dress code - and we're all for it.
Read on to see Meghan's new look from all angles, plus a look back at all the times she's shown olive green might just be her color.

After Months of Glittery Tour Costumes, Beyoncé Suits Up in a Few Menswear Looks
After months of touring, Beyoncé seems to be taking a break from embellished bodysuits and glimmering gowns. The powerhouse, who just celebrated her 37th birthday, shared a few pictures of her recent menswear-inspired looks that are quite the departure from her On the Run II tour costumes. In the personal pictures, Beyoncé is wearing a houndstooth suit with cape sleeves, as well as a black blazer with dramatically ruched sleeves.
The sartorial power move comes right after Cara Delevingne wore a tuxedo to Princess Eugenie's wedding and Lady Gaga wore an oversize Marc Jacobs suit to Elle's annual Women in Hollywood event. Her outfit choice came with a powerful meaning, as Gaga said in her speech: "As a woman who was conditioned at a very young age to listen to what men told me to do, I decided today I wanted to take the power back. Today I wear the pants."
Ahead, see pictures of Beyoncé's latest looks fit for the boss that she is, and shop similar menswear-inspired selections.
10 Ways to Pull Off Meghan Markle's Shirtdress Look Under $100, Because It's Just So Worth It
Meghan Markle's worn plenty of dresses on her royal tour worth gushing over. But not all of them are as everyday casual and wearable as the Martin Grant shirtdress she sported with a high ponytail in Tonga. While that gorgeous silhouette, with its olive stripes and modest collar, will set you back $1,385, we were eager to find some similar styles under $100.
Our editor Amanda McKelvey commented that Meghan's outfit instantly reminded her of one of our POPSUGAR at Kohl's collection pieces - the striped midi dress - and we spotted designs that boast similar sophisticated details at Zara, Shopbop, Mango, and Nordstrom, too.
Read on to get inspired by Meghan's appearance, then re-create her look at an accessible price point. Even if you don't complete your ensemble with a Prada clutch or Manolo Blahnik pumps like Meghan, admiring her sensible taste in breezy fabrics and flattering fits is the name of the game.

You Don't Need Binoculars to Zoom In on Meghan Markle's Go-To Heels - They're Obvious
Ever since we laid eyes on the strappy heels Meghan Markle wore to announce her engagement to Prince Harry, it was obvious she has good taste in shoes. We've been keeping tabs on Meghan's footwear ever since, including those now-iconic pairs of bow slingbacks she owns and the custom pumps she styled with her Stella McCartney reception dress for her wedding.
These pumps all have one thing in common: they're by Aquazzura. It's safe to say that Meghan puts her trust in the Italian luxury label most often, but there are three more brands she's worn on repeat since taking on royal duties - at least, when she's looking for a height boost from a sharp stiletto or pin-thin bootie. Ahead, find the four designers Meghan keeps on rotation when it comes to her heels, and scoop up some of your own.
These New Glitter Bow Sneakers Are So Sparkly, Even Disney Princesses Aren't Worthy
Nothing at POPSUGAR gets us more excited than a good pair of sparkly shoes. That's why we flipped out when we discovered these newly released Ash Demon Sneakers ($210) at Nordstrom. They're pretty enough for royalty!
The sequined bows and gemstone embellishments make these kicks particularly special. They would look cute with a dress or jeans - they're versatile, too. We can't wait to rock a pair during the holidays when all things shimmery are especially relevant.
If you're as obsessed as us, we suggest snagging a pair ASAP. Shoes this special will be flying off the shelves.
Kendall Jenner Continues to Copy Paris Hilton's 2000s Style, and "That's Hot"
Kendall Jenner's style has undergone quite the transformation. The 22-year-old model recently ditched her elevated and adventurous style to attend Drake's 2000s-themed birthday party in Los Angeles. In addition to getting long extensions, Kendall sported an airbrush-style tank top, bootcut jeans, a sequined Chanel handbag, and, yes, a good old Von Dutch trucker hat.
The outfit resembled something Paris Hilton would have worn during her The Simple Life days. In fact, Kendall previously replicated the slinky silver dress Paris wore on her 21st birthday in 2002 and wore it to her own 21st birthday in 2016. Ahead, see pictures of Kendall's throwback party outfit and shop similar finds.
Guys, Gigi Hadid Carried a Mini Bag Shaped Like a Bear, and It's SO Darn Cute
When I first saw Gigi Hadid wearing a sleek suit, I didn't think much of it. But when she started walking, I noticed that she was carrying the cutest accessory I've ever seen: a mini bear-shaped bag. (TBH, the adorable bag was the last thing I'd expect her to style her suit with, but I'm so glad she did!) Gigi styled her kitschy bag and white Ralph Lauren Collection suit with strappy Loriblu heels while heading over to a taping of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Read on to get a closer look at her entire outfit, and shop similar versions of her bag ahead.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Share the Heartwarming Story Behind Her Wedding Tiara
Let's close our eyes and go back to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's gorgeous royal wedding in May . . . well, go back to watching it on TV. Thanks to months of planning from the Royal Collection Trust, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding outfits are ready for visitors! A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is an exhibition now open in the Grand Reception Room at Windsor Castle where visitors will be able to see Meghan and Harry's gorgeous royal wedding outfits in all their original glory until Jan. 6, 2019. An audio recording in which Meghan and Harry discuss special aspects of their wedding looks, including Meghan's tiara, will accompany the exhibit.
While we previously knew Meghan wore Queen Mary's diamond tiara, loaned to her by Queen Elizabeth, we're now finding out about the story behind how she chose that specific tiara, and seriously, it's adorable. "When it came to the tiara on the day, I was very fortunate to be able to chose this gorgeous art deco style bandeau tiara," Meghan says in the recorded interview with Prince Harry, according to Harper's Bazaar. "Harry and I had gone to Buckingham Palace to meet with her Majesty the Queen to select one of the options that were there, which was an incredibly surreal day as you can imagine."
"That was the one that I think as we tried them on stood out. It was just perfect because it was so clean and simple - and also to that point, an extension of what Clare and I had been trying to do with the dress which was have something that could be so incredibly timeless but still feel modern," she added about her Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy dress.
The best part is, Harry chimed in during the audio recording about how he wasn't really supposed to be there when Meghan chose the diamond tiara, but he's so glad he was! "Funnily enough, it was the one that suited the best, the one that looked the best on you without question," Prince Harry gushed. "I shouldn't have really been there - but an incredible loan by my grandmother. Very sweet."
Read on to see Meghan and Harry's wedding outfits on display in the new exhibition, and more photos of her gorgeous tiara from her wedding day.
Meghan Markle Looks Like a Halloween Princess in Her Oscar de la Renta Gown
After wowing us in Tonga, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to Australia on Friday for the next stage of their royal tour. Meghan kicked things off in serious style as she took to the podium at the Australian Geographic Society Awards in Sydney. The duchess was a vision in a dreamy Oscar de la Renta dress that included intricate embellishment by Sarah Esmoingt. Featuring hundreds of black birds on white tulle, the ballet-length design was one of Meghan's most adventurous choices yet.
With its full skirt and layers of tulle, this was a true princess dress, but we couldn't help but think of a certain Alfred Hitchcock thriller as we admired that flock of birds . . . and with Halloween just around the corner, that reference (deliberate or otherwise) couldn't be better timed! Keep reading for a closer look at Meghan's very appropriate dress.

This Woman Temporarily Lost Her Sight After Getting Eyelash Extensions
Twenty-year-old Megan Rixson posted a video on Twitter saying she lost her eyesight for two hours after getting eyelash extensions. According to her tweet, the salon she went to for the service used nail glue as an adhesive during her appointment.
"This one's on fire. This one wont open as much," she said in the video as she points to each of her eyes. Since the video's initial post, it has garnered over 850,000 views.
Girls be very very careful where you get your eyelashes done!!I got my individuals done today somewhere new and it turns out they used nail glue on my lashes. I genuinely lost my sight for 2 hours. Thankfully the swelling has gone down, but there still very sore. Be careful😭 pic.twitter.com/NmsFr9QSbk
- Megan Rixson (@MeganRixson) October 19, 2018
"When she was doing the first one my eyes were stinging lots," Rixson told Buzzfeed News, referring to the experience. "But she said, don't worry, it's normal, and told me to hold my eye open."
Just a reminder - getting lengthy lashes can be a lovely experience. Still, in order to prevent experiences like Rixson's, it is imperative to those who are interested in extensions to do their research. "Safety should be your number one concern when choosing a lash extension expert," said Clementina Richardson, a celebrity lash stylist and licensed aesthetician. "It's important to find someone who is certified to apply the lashes. Depending on the state, the stylist also needs to be licensed, not just certified."
Richardson also mentions that those undergoing the treatment should take the time to run through the risks with their technicians and ensure they are using a safe adhesive. She suggests avoiding glues that contain formaldehyde, which can irritate the eyes, and adhesives that smell strongly of chemicals.
"Chances are, if the glue smells very chemical, [it's ridden with them] and capable of causing a reaction," Richardson said. "Eyelash adhesives aren't supposed to be formulated with much. There are only three to five ingredients in an adhesive and all components needs to be included to create a strong bonding glue."
I Did a Foot Mask in the Back of an NYC Taxi, and I Regret Nothing
For anyone with podophobia or strong convictions about proper cab etiquette, what I'm going to say may sound especially heinous: I performed a full-blown foot mask in the back of a New York City taxi - I'm talking shoes off, crinkly foil wrap on - and it kinda changed things for me.
Why I felt compelled to do this while stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic is precisely the reason people skimp on self-care rituals all the time: there is simply not enough time in the day to pamper yourself. So when it's your job to test the latest products, and the only thing standing between you and a little R&R is another beauty appointment 45 minutes uptown, you do what needs to be done.
Now, back to the mask. My treatment of choice was the brand-new Dr. Jart Dermask Foot Smoothing Mask ($12), which contains two fancy silver booties that strap onto your ankles like other foot peels on the market but also promise to coddle your heels with the kind of moisture that makes you forget you've been squeezing them into those too-tight Doc Martens you got on sale at DSW.
I don't know about the rest of you, but getting the feet of a toddler sounds like a dream in my I-walk-everywhere-in-this-damn-city world. But did it work? Follow along, ahead.

Chicago West Just Landed Her First Beauty Campaign and Totally Stole the Show From Kim's Bright Pink Shadow
Chicago West may only be 9 months old, but she's already a natural when it comes to this whole modeling thing. We're used to seeing the youngest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's three children looking as angelic as can be in the sweet photos her makeup mogul mom shares, but her latest appearance in a KKW Beauty post takes the cake.
Kardashian took to Instagram on Friday to promote her new Flashing Lights collection with a photo of Chicago nestled against her chest. Both of their eyes are closed in the photo, and Kardashian is shown wearing her brand-new, bright pink eye shadow. "My heavenly baby," she captioned the post. "Showing off the new pink shadows in the Flashy Lights Collection wearing Flashy and High Key available at KKWbeauty.com."
The mom of three also shared a photo of her oldest daughter, North West, wearing a bright orange eye shadow on Thursday night, so we have a feeling there will be more than one makeup fan in the family. Check out more goods from the Flashing Lights collection, which is now available on KKWBeauty.com, ahead.
9 Sailor Moon Makeup Looks Perfect For Fighting Evil by Moonlight
This Halloween, you can win love by daylight and fight evil by moonlight with these Sailor Moon-inspired makeup looks. Even her sidekick kitty Luna provided makeup inspiration with her crescent moon forehead, making the show perfect Halloween inspiration.
Ahead you'll see some of the most stunning Sailor Moon makeup looks on Instagram that'll help you get ready for your next costume party.

The $9 Face Mist That Soothes My Irritated, Blotchy Skin
For those of us who can recite the skin-changing benefits of witch hazel the same way '90s babies can sing Britney Spears's greatest hits, this canary yellow packaging may look familiar. It used to be found on the label of a jumbo bottle of Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel - you know, the one you'd have to carefully drip onto a cotton pad if you wanted to use it. But now, the brand has found an easier way to deliver the transformative powers of its products via its Refreshingly Clean Facial Mist ($9), so you can throw those cotton pads away. (Just kidding, that's wasteful. Use them for other things.)
This no-frills spray - it contains just four ingredients - releases a very fine mist so there are no surprise splashes or blasts to the face. It only takes about three to five seconds to spritz your entire face and neck and see it completely absorb into your skin. It takes another three seconds for you to start feeling an unmatched softness. As someone with very sensitive skin that gets blotchy when irritated, I've found that introducing witch hazel calms it down.
"Witch hazel is a natural toner for the skin, calms inflammation, and acts as a natural antiseptic," said dermatologist Kavita Mariwalla, MD. "It's good for acne-prone skin, and potentially even rosacea as it can, over time, help with redness. This mist contains aloe, which is known to be soothing."
Mariwalla mentions one caveat, however: "It does contain alcohol, which can strip or throw the skin out of balance, so I would limit use of this spray to two to three times per week." She also suggests spraying it on if you're fresh from a workout. "It will disinfect and control oil until you have time to get home and get showered."
The 1 Concealer That Works So Well, I Skip Foundation
I've been wearing foundation almost daily since high school. Although I've never had terrible skin, I like the way a full-coverage base evens out any hyperpigmentation, conceals my blemishes, and creates an even canvas for the rest of my look. In the past, I've toyed with the idea of just using concealer for a more natural look but never found a formula that covered the dark marks on my face as well as a foundation.
Image Source: POPSUGAR Photography / Sarah Siegel
Recently, I saw the new Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer ($22) and noticed that it had earned a Sephora Community Seal for its outstanding customer reviews. After some thought, I decided to give it a try. To my delight, the formula blended out like a dream and covered every dark mark, zit, and under-eye circle with ease. My complexion looked so good and natural, and the hyaluronic-acid-packed formula didn't crease or fade throughout the day.
Now that I've discovered a cruelty-free option that works as well as my favorite foundations, I can wear less makeup and have my complexion look equally flawless.
These Products Changed My Mind About Clean Beauty
As an editor, dozens of products cross my desk each day, and it's my job to assess every new trend and ingredient brands are promoting with a skeptic's eye. One movement in particular that had me raising my eyebrows is the clean beauty trend, or products that are formulated without a laundry list of potentially harmful ingredients, such as the parabens, sulfates, and phthalates that many consumers try to actively avoid. While this sounds ideal, I won't use a product unless it delivers real results. I want my makeup to be packed with pigment, my skin-care products to clear up blemishes, and everything to be as easy to use as possible.
Despite my resistance, there happen to be quite a few effective clean products on the market that fit the bill. Ahead, you'll find some picks that withstood even my impossibly high standards.

11 Halloween Costumes That Are Really Just an Excuse to Wear Your Favorite Fenty Products
Excuses are for the weak? Please - that's just what your Barry's Bootcamp instructor tells you. When you know and love beauty, and the only kind of sculpting you'll be doing come Halloween is on your cheekbones, you can employ any excuse you want to use your tried-and-true products. 60 Terrifyingly Cool Skeleton Makeup Ideas to Try For Halloween
We all remember the Mean Girls Halloween party scene, where Cady Heron misses the memo (or, more accurately, gets some misdirection) and shows up to Chris Eisel's Halloween party as a corpse bride. Well, when it comes to Halloween, we don't think the Cady Heron vs. Regina George debate needs to be a decisive one - truthfully, there are plenty of ways to create a costume that's both scary and sexy.
One of our favorite Halloween looks pulls from an iconic "scary" image: the skull. Using extreme contouring and shadowing, makeup can be used to create an incredibly lifelike skeleton costume. We've put together some of the most stunning skeleton faces we've seen on Instagram - each is totally gorgeous and totally terrifying.
The Eco-Conscious Hair Product That Completely Changed My At-Home Blowout
My hair has always been something of a sensitive subject for me. It's thin and damaged, and I can never quite get it to stay in the right place.
I've been coloring my hair since I was in 7th grade, and I had my stylist teach me how to blow it out properly so no one would notice how fine it really is. Needless to say, it's been damaged by heat and dye for far too long.
Despite being able to blow my hair out rapidly, the problem is I've never been able to get enough body and volume to last throughout the day. When our beauty editor recommended Davines' Liquid Spell ($45), I was hesitant to try it. I'm not typically big on products unless it comes in the form of a dry shampoo (because, you know, thin hair often gets oily quicker).
Notwithstanding my uncertainties, I took home the product to test it out. Check out how it worked out for me, ahead.
32 Times Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Jake and Amy Proved That True Love Really Does Exist
There are so many things that Brooklyn Nine-Nine gets right, it's impossible to name every reason we love it. Is it the amazingly talented cast, which also happens to be incredibly diverse? Is it the perfect blend of humor, action, and feel-good sap that it manages to infuse into each episode? It's probably all those things and more - including the creation of TV's most precious couple: Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero).
If there's one thing B99's cocreator Michael Schur knows how to do, it's create an iconic couple. Much like The Office's Jim and Pam and Parks and Recreation's Ben and Leslie, Jake and Amy are the kind of couple who make you believe in love. When they first interact in season one, their relationship mostly consists of Jake pulling Amy's proverbial pigtails, which is annoying but also amusing because Amy always gives as good as she gets. Though Jake is a bit of a man-child, he respects Amy and her authority, even if he pokes fun at her type-A personality. The two have become better versions of themselves over the past few seasons, which can be in and out of their relationship (she drank orange soda and he read Harry Potter!), which is pretty much what you're supposed to do in a healthy relationship.
So if you're like me and have known that Jake and Amy were destined to be since episode one, you will definitely enjoy this roundup of some of their sweetest moments ahead. Keep reading, ya jags!

The 1 Moment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will "Treasure Forever" From Their Wedding
If you're still not over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding, this new detail about their big day is going to turn you into a mess. On Friday, an exhibition called A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex was unveiled at Windsor Castle, where visitors can see Meghan and Harry's wedding outfits up close and personal. In the accompanying audio recording, Harry and Meghan revealed details about their nuptials including the fact that the royal actually chose the song Meghan walked down the aisle to.
"[It] was actually Harry's choice entirely and I think a really beautiful piece," Meghan said. "I can retrace that entire walk down the aisle listening to it. It really is so special for us and I think it's one of those things we'll treasure forever." The song in question was George Frideric Handel's "Eternal Source of Light Divine" and it was performed by Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas.
"I was looking for something completely different," Harry added. "I ended up stumbling across this piece of music, something that epitomizes the whole day, the whole feeling that I have for her, and this incredibly impactful music with no organ whatsoever, with a soloist who actually did the most incredible job. Wherever we are, whatever we're doing, we can close our eyes, listen to that music, and take ourselves straight back to that moment, it's a beautiful thing for both of us." Are you sobbing yet?
The exhibition, which was organized by The Royal Collection Trust, will run from Oct. 26 to Jan. 6, 2019, and will then move to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Queen Elizabeth II's Scotland residence, on June 14, 2019.

If You're Confused About the Ending of Suspiria, Allow Us to Break It Down For You
Warning: this post contains ALL the biggest spoilers for Suspiria.
Now that you've witnessed the madness that is Suspiria, a few things are likely to be true. You're probably wondering whether Tilda Swinton plays that old man (she does), whether or not you'll be able to sleep tonight (you won't), and what the hell even happened in those final wild 30 minutes (so much). Yes, it's quite obvious that the stunning reimagining pulls off a pretty epic twist - it's quite different from the original ending - but this version also manages to deepen the film's mythology and bring the entire narrative full circle. If you're still scratching your head, worry not. I'm going to break down all the most important takeaways.
As a quick overview of the plot, we follow the confident Susie Bannion (Dakota Johnson) as she rapidly rises through the ranks at a Berlin dance academy. The academy is run by a coven of witches; Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton) is the director of the academy, but the mysterious Mother Markos (also Swinton) is the one at the top of the food chain. In this world, there are three mythical mothers, ancient witches who have wandered the earth for centuries. They are Mater Tenebrarum (Our Lady of Darkness), Mater Lachrymarum (Our Lady of Tears), and Mater Suspiriorum (Our Lady of Sighs). Markos has claimed to be Suspiriorum, though there are some in the academy who are dubious, Blanc included.
At the beginning of the film, Blanc is vying to become the new leader of the dance academy. Each member of the coven casts their vote to keep Markos or shift the power to Blanc. After the vote is cast, Markos narrowly wins, thus keeping her grasp on the coven. And since she's so old and close to death, the rest of the witches must find a new vessel for her to possess and overtake. Enter Susie, who sweeps through the academy with bewitching talent and vibrato. It's clear she'll be the perfect vessel for Markos.
And so the rest of the dramatic action is mostly about "prepping" Susie for this ceremony, which is what we arrive at in the final sequence. The entire coven has been collected in some kind of chamber. The dancers are all in a trance, performing manic, possessed choreography. There are three girls who have figured out the true nature of the coven throughout the film: Patricia (Chloe Grace Moretz), Olga (Elena Fokina), and Sara (Mia Goth). They've been disemboweled and left as offerings to Suspiriorum.
Blanc, it seems, has taken a liking to Susie, and she still has her doubts about Mother Markos. When she tries to intervene, Markos almost completely decapitates her. Here's where the big shift happens. It turns out Markos really isn't Suspiriorum and Susie is. When Susie reveals her true identity, she summons a demon, or perhaps death itself, and kills Mother Markos. Then she kills every other witch who voted for Markos at the beginning of the film and saves all those who voted for Blanc. It's unclear why she spares these witches; my best guess is that she needs some followers and would rather take those loyal to Blanc than those loyal to Markos. Or perhaps Susie has taken an equal liking to Blanc.
Per the wishes of the three scorned girls, she gives them the gift of sweet death. It's a horrific bloodbath that leaves Susie (Suspiriorum) in charge of the dance academy. Then there's the whole side plot with Dr. Klemperer (also played by Swinton), who is present for the whole affair. He lives, and as an act of grace, Susie wipes his memory of the event. That's about it! Of course, there's the mysterious postcredits scene, but that's more of a teaser of what the future might hold than any information that will help unpack what we've witnessed. Guess we'll just have to wait for the potential sequel to see if the mythology deepens.

Grey's Anatomy Is Bringing Back an Old Character For Some Intense Drama This Season
Season 15 of Grey's Anatomy has been a rollercoaster for our emotions. From worrying about the disappearance of Jackson (It's okay, he comes back!) and original star Ellen Pompeo hinting that she may leave the series sooner than later, we've had a time. Luckily, since Pompeo has confirmed that she's staying with the Grey's family for as long as they keep being renewed, we can enjoy the rest of this season and all its' surprises. Which includes the return of a character we haven't since season seven who is bound to bring a fair bit of angst with his appearance.
Warning: General Grey's Anatomy spoilers ahead!
The season's fifth episode, "Everyday Angel," features Meredith attempting to convince Teddy to tell Owen about her pregnancy. While Teddy is determined to raise her child alone, Meredith tries to sway her by pointing out that if she keeps the two from one another, not only is she hurting her baby but she's also hurting Owen. Especially when their child grows up and decides to seek out their father. The conversation between the two serves as perfect foreshadowing for the return of another complicated family dynamic: as the promo for the upcoming episode teases, Thatcher Grey is back in town and sick once again.
The promo for "Flowers Grow Out of My Grave" shows Dr. Webber asking Meredith about her father and breaking the news that he's unwell. The last time we saw Thatcher was in season seven, when he came back with a giant kidney stone and a younger girlfriend. A lot has transpired since his disappearance, including Lexie's death, Meredith's marriage to Derek, and the addition of their children. Since there's been no mention of the Grey patriarch, and he's been absent for a lot of huge moments in his daughter's life, we have no doubt that his presence will stir a lot of drama for the widow and mother of three.
We know that Meredith can't handle another loss after everything she's been though, so maybe his visit will inspire the two to properly reconcile? After all, actor Jeff Perry no longer has to contend with a busy schedule on Scandal, so maybe he'll be able to stay on for a few episodes. Either way, we can't wait to see what the episode has in store for us when it premieres on Nov. 1!
Maisie Williams Reunited With Her Game of Thrones Big Brothers IRL, and the Photos Are SO Cute
A reunion between Stark siblings Arya, Robb, and Jon Snow will never happen on Game of Thrones for obvious reasons, but that doesn't mean the real-life stars of the show have stopped hanging out IRL. In celebration of Maisie Williams's new play I and You, which recently opened in London, her onscreen big brothers Kit Harington (Jon) and Richard Madden (Robb) arrived to show her some love.
The trio happily posed for photos together while mingling with actors like Tom Hiddleston and fellow Game of Thrones star John Bradley (aka former Night's Watch member Samwell Tarly), and the snapshots will make any GOT fan's heart swell at least three sizes. Check out the photos ahead - including an adorable Instagram courtesy of Maisie Williams - and try your best not to cry (we'll totally understand if you do, though).
13 Iconic Horror Movies Inspired by Real-Life Events
Any horror fan knows that there's one phrase that will make any scary movie twice as terrifying: "Inspired by true events." It's a tricky phrase, because we often don't know what the original "events" are, and we can't get a sense of how "inspired" the filmmakers were. The halls of horror history are littered with disturbing movies and a handful of potential new classics. But the truth is harder to find. To help give your nightmares a little more weight, we dug into a handful of the most iconic horror movies, and the "true" events that "inspired" them.
The Badass Heroines of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Talk Costumes, Representation, and More
The Oculus at the Westfield World Trade Center in New York City got a magical makeover from Oct. 21 to Oct. 23 when the tetrad of worlds from Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms - the Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers, Land of Sweets, and the mysterious Fourth Realm - emerged as a maze-like adventure. Two stars of the film, Mackenzie Foy, who plays Clara, and Misty Copeland, who plays The Ballerina, gladly came along for the immersive experience.
Foy and Copeland sat down with POPSUGAR in the Land of Sweets to talk about the excitement over the upcoming movie. Before the interview began, Copeland kicked off her gorgeously embellished heels to make herself more comfortable. Rather than sitting in a row on one of the oversize candy benches, she happily plopped on the ground so that all three of us could make a circle while we talked. "It's OK, I like to be on the floor!" she assured me with a smile when I looked visibly apprehensive about a ballet icon doing an interview sitting on the ground.
"She's not afraid to be unapologetic of herself. She's not afraid to be a mechanic and be the hero, but still wear a dress and heels."
Meanwhile, Foy genially perched herself on a blue-swirled candy seat, bright-eyed and eager to answer questions. This sense of enthusiasm might have something to do with Foy's love for the very company she's been a part of through this film. "I'm a huge Disney fan, so being able to be in a Disney movie alone is just awesome," she said. But that's only one reason why the 17-year-old actress seems so excited about The Nutcracker remake. Her character and the movie's heroine, Clara, is also someone Foy came to appreciate for her bravery, kindness, and curiosity. "She's not afraid to be unapologetic of herself," Foy added. "She's not afraid to be a mechanic and be the hero, but still wear a dress and heels."
Copeland feels a similar connection with her character. In fact, The Nutcracker was the first ballet she danced in when she was just 13-years-old. "I just feel like my life's kind of come full circle," she said. The opportunity to play such a big role holds another special meaning near and dear to Copeland's heart. Touching on the importance of representation, particularly in the world of ballet, she notes that she doesn't exactly fit the current common perception of what ballerinas look like. But with her landing a significant part in the contemporary remake of a classic tale, she can be the one who helps change the landscape.
"This is going to be something that lives on in this film," she said. "That people will look at this brown ballerina, and it won't be a brown ballerina. It'll just be, 'That's a ballerina. That's what a ballerina looks like.'"
Despite this being Copeland's first major motion picture, one look at her in the film's trailer will tell you that she's still in her element when it comes to bringing the beauty of ballet to life. With pointed toes and gracefully fluid movements, she dons an elegant white tulle dress that's just one of the many elaborate ensembles viewers can expect to see. Evidently, the costuming was yet another fun experience for both Foy and Copeland.
"The costumes were really beautiful," Foy said. "And there's so much detail that went into the petticoats and the corsets. They hand dyed the tights, and they hand dyed the shoes. Every little inch of these costumes was nitpicked and perfected. It was just absolutely beautiful to be in them and be in the purple party dress, with the bustle and the little roses and sparkles on it, and just run through the realms and go on an adventure. It was amazing."
Copeland was also in awe of the opulent attire. "It was stunning to see live," she said. "I think that one of my favorites was definitely Keira Knightley as a Sugar Plum Fairy."
In a nutshell (pun intended), Foy and Copeland are both proud to be a part of the Disney magic.
"There's tons of those pinch-me moments," Foy said, before remembering how production brought the imaginative world to life. "They filled the soundstage with real trees and real dirt. It was massive. And they had brought in the snow, and they built courtyards with a working portcullis. They had a working portcullis - it's crazy! There's tons of moments where it was like, 'Wow. We're making the fantasy world.'"
Still, behind such colorful spectacles and set designs is a story that will take viewers on a journey more complex than any other Nutcracker rendition. "It's not as light and surface as the ballet story," Copeland said. "It's kind of digging deeper into these characters. It's like another dimension."
Watch Foy and Copeland embark on the adventure when The Nutcracker and the Four Realms hits theaters on Nov. 2.
