Outlander's Caitriona Balfe Reveals Why This Season 4 Sex Scene Is the "Most Erotic" One Yet

The fourth season of Outlander has officially premiered on Starz with - Outlander being Outlander - one hell of a steamy nighttime romp in the wilds of America for new settlers Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan). But as much fun as that and the show's other NSFW sex scenes are to watch, there's a lot of serious thought that goes into how they're filmed.

"From day one, we always set out this path for ourselves that if we were to do sex scenes, they have to tell you something about the relationship, [and] they have to tell you something about where these two characters are," Balfe tells POPSUGAR. She explains that this is obviously "very easy to weave into a plot when you're a new couple falling in love," but "it gets more difficult as seasons go on because you're constantly trying to find interesting ways to show something."

She adds that - especially because Outlander is a show with a strong female fan base, that has a strong female lead, and is based on a series of books by a female writer - these scenes shouldn't be shot "from the typical male gaze that we're so used to seeing always on TV."

Heughan brought up another issue about these scenes: they also have to make some sort of sense. The scene in the woods from the fourth season premiere, for example, is hot. But it can't be too elaborate because it would leave Claire and Jamie vulnerable to intruders. He says sometimes "it's cold or it's night and we're always like, 'We can't really do a scene here with our clothes off because it'd be freezing.' There are so many dangers, especially [in colonial America]."

Not to spoil the fun, but Heughan is only being pragmatic when he says "the actual truth of it is that it probably wouldn't be all that sexy. It'd be fumbling under some [blankets]." That said, Balfe is particularly pleased with one tryst that happens later this season and is teased in the opening credits, something she describes as a "bathtub scene that I thought was so beautiful and romantic."

"It's not so much a sex scene; it's more of a romantic scene," she says. "I think that, to me anyway, that can be more erotic and more exciting than probably some of the more explicit sex scenes."

Whoa: AMC to Air Feature-Length Films About What Happens to The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes

Beware: Spoilers for the latest episode of The Walking Dead below!

I imagine it's going to take fans of The Walking Dead quite some time to get used to the idea that Rick Grimes, OG leader of the apocalypse, is not only leaving the show for good, but that he's also going to be starring in a trilogy of feature-length films on AMC. Talk about a curveball.

If you watched the show's latest episode, "What Comes After," you know that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) doesn't die after all. Instead, after blowing up a bridge infested with walkers to save his friends and preserve the legacy of community he'd created, his badly wounded body is tossed into the river below and washes ashore a mile or so downstream. The scene cuts to Jadis, who's standing in the woods nearby and who spots Rick's very-much-alive body on the riverbank. She hops on her walkie and begs the mysterious people in the helicopter to land and save Rick, to which they reluctantly agree. The last we see of our beleaguered apocalyptic leader, he's being flown off to an unknown location.

So, yes: the story of Rick Grimes is far from over. According to Scott M. Gimple, who appeared on Talking Dead after the episode, Rick is indeed alive and "it's not a weird trick," but that was the last we'll ever see of him on the show; he will appear only in the movies from here on out. "We're gonna continue telling his story in a series of original AMC films," he said. "It expands the universe. It's gonna show a different corner of the world."

Lincoln will continue playing the character in three feature-length movies that will air on AMC. Production on the first film begins production in 2019, with Gimple writing the script. During an interview with EW, Gimple explained a little bit more about what to expect from the movies:

"It is really important for the audience to know that we are going to be continuing to tell the story of Rick Grimes in these AMC Studios original films. We don't want this thing to be like, 'Oh, well, he'll be back on the show any moment now.' We are telling Rick's story in another medium . . . They're centered around Rick Grimes. We're going to tell the story of what happens after that helicopter flight, and these are going to be big, epic entertainments. Each are quality films."

Gimple went on to say that AMC is hoping to copy the success Netflix has had with original films, and that Rick's story will be the network's first foray into the genre. There's no word on what corners of the world Rick will end up in, or why he'd choose not to return to his family, but luckily we have plenty of time to theorize about how the movies might come together since production doesn't start until next year.

ICYMI: Here's Exactly Who Ariana Grande Name-Drops in "Thank U, Next"

Did you hear? Ariana Grande is "so f*cking grateful" for her exes that she's thanking them by name. Fans may have expected a brutal diss track from the singer's new song "Thank U, Next," but they got a powerful self-love anthem instead.

While the song's theme is definitely healing and moving on, Ariana does give a shout-out to a few of her past relationships, but she's a benevolent queen. Ariana confirmed that at least two of her exes (Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez) heard the song before its release. In case her past romances don't ring a bell, here's a refresher on exactly who she's singing about and why she's ready to say, "thank u, next."

60+ Times Richonne Proved They Were the Apocalypse's Ultimate Power Couple

In a world like The Walking Dead, there is no end to tragedy and strife. But somehow, amid all the death and destruction they experience, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) manage to find each other. Though the couple only become official in the sixth season, they've had an intense connection from the start. Michonne enters the picture after Rick's group moves into the prison and are blissfully unaware of the threat of the Governor that looms in the background. When she stands outside the fence surrounding the prison and the two engage in a tense stare-down, there's no doubt something significant is happening. And thus begins the journey that takes us to . . . Richonne.

Some fans were definitely shocked by the start of their relationship in "The Next World," but Richonne had actually been building since season three! Business Insider details a conversation during Comic-Con where creator Robert Kirkman explained that discussions of the relationship actually began with showrunner Scott Gimple's episode "Clear."

"When you feel the chemistry in a moment, that is one of the intangibles in planning," Gimple said. "I believe in planning probably way too much, but you've got to wait for chemistry, and there was between those characters."

Gurira has since spoke about how they empower each other and Lincoln noted how they're constantly expressing their love for one another, which makes the end of Rick's time on the show all the more gut-wrenching. In honor of the couple's final episode together, sit back and relax, because I'm about to show you the many times Rick and Michonne were obviously destined to become #Richonne.

Here's How 33 Fans of The Walking Dead Reacted to THAT Shocking Twist in Rick's Last Episode

MAJOR spoilers for The Walking Dead below!

I don't know about you guys, but I think I'll be hyperventilating over the final few minutes of Rick's "last" episode on The Walking Dead for, oh, I don't know . . . ALL ETERNITY?!? That seems fair.

On Sunday night, the AMC zombie series aired an episode they'd been promoting for weeks as Rick Grimes's final appearance on the show. Although there were plenty of theories about how he'd exit, nothing could have emotionally or mentally prepared me for the twist that happens at the very end of "What Comes After," which sees Rick Grimes survive a seemingly fatal wound to the gut, a devastating bridge explosion, and being thrown off said bridge into a river. I repeat: he survives. Rick doesn't die! But the show's decision about how to continue his story unsurprisingly has plenty of fans - including yours truly - rankled.

In case you didn't see the episode for yourself, Jadis ends up finding Rick downstream after the explosion, still very much alive, and whisks him off to an unknown location in that mysterious helicopter that's been flying around for the past few seasons without alerting the rest of the group. Then the scene jumps forward in time a number of years, showing us Judith all grown up and saving a new group of survivors from a large horde of zombies. Judging from that last scene, as well as a wild promo for the next batch of episodes, clearly the show is going to focus on Judith's blossoming bond with Negan (aka what happens with Carl in the comics), new characters, and the effect of Rick's absence on the community. But speaking of Rick, his story is still far from over.

According to Scott M. Gimple, who appeared on Talking Dead after the episode, Rick is definitely alive and his character is going to live on in another venue. "We're gonna continue telling his story in a series of original AMC films," he said. "It expands the universe. It's gonna show a different corner of the world." The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that Lincoln will continue playing the character in three feature-length movies that will air on AMC, and Gimple is already on board to write the script for the first.

There's no word on what corners of the world Rick will end up in, or why he'd choose not to return to his family, which is why The Walking Dead fandom is in the midst of a meltdown. If you find yourself among them, keep scrolling to see the most hilarious (and hilariously heartbreaking) reactions to the show's big twist.

Rick's Last Episode of The Walking Dead Is Devastating - Here's How It All Plays Out

Major, major spoilers for The Walking Dead below!

The Walking Dead might have been on the air for nine years now, but during the AMC zombie drama's fifth episode on Sunday night, the writers proved that they still know how to pull off an epic surprise.

As we've known for more than a year now, Rick Grimes's days on the show were numbered. When the series came back for season nine in October, it was officially revealed that the OG sheriff would indeed be leaving during episode five, spawning a whole host of theories about how he'd exit. Well, now that we know how it all goes down, we can confirm that it's a heartbreaking and extremely surprising send-off for the character, as well as actor Andrew Lincoln.

If you're wondering how Rick's final moments on the show play out, keep scrolling. But, again, so many spoilers ahead!

Holy Sh*t, That Final Battle on Game of Thrones Is Way More Epic Than We Thought

Hello, friends - it's time to PANIC about the final season of Game of Thrones! This week, after more than a calendar year of agonized waiting, Entertainment Weekly finally unveiled a first look at the end. Not only did we manage a glimpse at the opening moments of the season, but we also got a bit of insight into the show's epic final battle. This, of course, is referring to the battle we heard murmurs of in Spring 2018. As it turns out, though, we only really got half the story.

Back in April, rumor had it that Game of Thrones had wrapped filming on its biggest battle sequence to date. In case there's any confusion, it's the moment the armies of Westeros unite - we're talking multiple kingdoms coming together for one unified battlefront - and clash with the Army of the Dead. And yes, this whole ordeal is even bigger than the gargantuan "Battle of the Bastards" in season six. According to an official thank-you note, the cast and crew spent 55 days shooting the sequence, totaling almost two months. That's already pretty much unheard of, especially in the TV world.

Here's the kicker: EW has revealed that this time span was just phase one. Everyone spent 55 days working on the outdoor Winterfell sets before filming moved into the studio, where the same battle sequence continued for many more weeks. That's got to be almost three times as long as the 25-day shoot for "Battle of the Bastards." Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, said it's brutal and makes the "Battle of the Bastards" look "like a theme park."

At this point, you might be wondering how we could possibly be interested in more than five minutes of swords clinking against one another. As it turns out, this battle is going to be so much more. Principal characters will be in grave danger. In fact, we'll witness multiple arcs, with our faves trying desperately not to die. EW says it "intercuts between multiple characters involved in their own survival storylines that each feels like its own genre." David Benioff, one of the show's creators, laid out the stakes. "Part of our challenge . . . is how to keep that compelling," he said. "We've been building toward this since the very beginning, it's the living against the dead, and you can't do that in a 12-minute sequence."

Damn. They're really going to have us pulling out our hair over this one, huh? Who will survive the battle against the White Walkers and The Night King? At this point, it sounds like no one is safe.

Outlander's Season 4 Premiere Has Fans Melting Down With Emotion, and We Don't Blame Them

The #droughtlander is over, people! After what felt like an eternity of missing Claire, Jamie, and the rest of the Outlander crew, the Starz series returned with a bang during its season four premiere on Sunday night. In addition to introducing us to new characters including the adorable Rollo and formidable villain Stephen Bonnet - we're still shaking from that last scene! - the premiere also gave us a few clues as to how the rest of the season is going to unfold. If you also found yourself freaking out about what the Frasers endure as they try to make a go of it in America, keep scrolling.

Oh No, I Am DEFINITELY Shipping Meredith and Link on Grey's Anatomy

Meredith is dating up a storm on Grey's Anatomy! The medical genius has already had a swing and a miss with the one and only Josh Radnor. On this week's date, she bemoans her relationship with her father (or lack thereof), and things don't really go much farther from there. But here's the gag: Meredith keeps insisting she doesn't want to date a doctor, and continues to outsource her potential romantic partners, but she clearly has a man right there who would be such a good catch! I know you know who I'm talking about, people! It's Doctor Atticus Lincoln, and I'm slowly developing a serious crush on him, and all I'm saying is Meredith better get with it before I steal her man.

In the few short episodes we've seen from season 15, I've come to a few conclusions. First, Dr. Link is a hottie with a body. Second, and more importantly, he also happens to have a heart of gold. Have you seen him interacting with children? Did you see him cut his hair for that poor boy with cancer this week? Third, he's clearly into Meredith, and fourth, they obviously have chemistry! I enjoy watching their scenes together! Dr. Link is basically the new McDreamy. Honestly, he's a bit of an improvement, because let's be real, Derek could be a real pompous jerk sometimes.

Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. Look, there are even people out there who agree with me!

From Man of Steel to Geralt of Rivia: Henry Cavill Transforms For Netflix's The Witcher

The Man of Steel is coming to Netflix!

After leading films like Justice League and this Summer's critically acclaimed Mission Impossible: Fallout, Henry Cavill has signed on to Netflix's upcoming TV adaptation of The Witcher. The series is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy novels, which also spawned an insanely popular video game of the same name. Both versions of the story follow Geralt of Rivia, a sorcerer, outcast, and cold-blooded killer who's tasked with ridding the world of monsters. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich - who's produced everything from The Defenders to Parenthood - will serve as showrunner, but the real question is: is Cavill the right fit for Geralt?

Netflix announced Cavill's casting via Twitter a few weeks back, describing The Witcher as "an epic, eight-episode fantasy series based on the best-selling book series." The British star has certainly played his fair share of quiet-but-powerful characters and definitely has no problem growing facial hair for a role, so Geralt's trademark gray beard should be a cinch. Hissrich herself tweeted that Cavill was the first actor she met with and she immediately knew he was right for the part. "He was my first meeting. I didn't have writers or scripts yet - just a greenlight and a lot of passion," she explained. "That was four months ago, and I've never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I'm so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family."

Cavill celebrated joining the project on Instagram, where he joked about his new Netflix account.

This isn't the first time the 35-year-old has professed his love of Geralt or The Witcher, either. Back in August, he shared a fan-made mock-up of what he'd look like as the character and told IGN that he was loving playing the third game in the series, Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. He also revealed that he was a big fan of the books, noting that they're "well worth a read." Sounds like he might be the perfect fit.

To top things off, Netflix finally shared a look at Cavill in character in October. With a long silver wig that would make Legolas jealous, Cavill struts up to the camera in all of his medieval glory. Do you think he's Witcher material?

Why Outlander's Rollo Is Not the Irish Wolfhound You Pictured From the Books

A beloved character is introduced into the Outlander family in season four when young Ian (John Bell) wins his faithful companion, Rollo, in a dice game. In the books, Rollo becomes a staple of the Fraser clan, protecting them from would-be threats and helping with things like hunting and fishing.

But book readers may have noticed during the season four premiere that Rollo is not exactly what they were picturing in their heads. In the book, Rollo is described as a hybrid of an Irish Wolfhound and an actual wolf. The dog on the show is clearly a very different breed. So, why the change?

In an inteview, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts told us that the Rollo they cast - which is a Northern Inuit, for those who are wondering - was simply a matter of logistics and trainability.

"[Northern Inuits] are very low-key, very mellow. They like people, and the trainer was used to working with them, so that was one big reason," said Roberts, adding that this change did then cause the writers to have to tweak Rollo's character a bit.

"Rollo in the book growls and gets vicious when you need him to get vicious. He also fishes and does all these amazing things," says Roberts. "But [the dog we cast] is very lovely and liked everybody and licked everybody all the time. Rollo runs around a lot and does certain things, but he's not quite the vicious dog [from the book]. We made some adjustments for Rollo. But he's a lovely dog."

Roberts went on to say that this is actually something they've discussed at length in the writers' room - meeting fans' expectations for what they've pictured in their heads as they read the books. It's a tricky line to walk sometimes.

"They read the books, and they imagine certain things, and they're described a certain way, and sometimes you can't find the exact thing that you are looking for physically in where we shoot," Roberts explained. "So finding that crossbreed Irish Wolfhound-wolf thing, you're like, 'Well, that's gonna be hard.' [Laughs] . . . [You need] an Irish Wolfhound-wolf crossbreed, and then you go, 'OK, can we find one that's 8 to 12 weeks old? Can we actually get the dog to a trainer and have it trained over this amount of time?' Finding one somewhere in the world might not be a problem, but finding one in the world where we would be in control of buying it, giving it to the trainer, and then trained to be safe for the dog and safe for the actors and the crew?"

And, of course, safety is the utmost importance, and an actual Irish Wolfhound-wolf crossbreed dog may not be as safe as a Northern Inuit.

"There are all those things you have to take into account, whether it be a horse or a mule or a pig or anything that we put next to our actors and our crew. Safety is very important," said Roberts. "When we did the boar in season one, all the boar stuff we shot was shot through fences. We never put anybody next to a live boar because they're unpredictable. There's no such thing as training a wild boar. That's the kind of thing we knew - Rollo would have to live with the family, so you have to have total control over the training of the dog. So it's better to err on the side of Rollo is just kind of a lovely, beautiful lapdog than [something else]."

Based on the Outlander Premiere, This Disturbing Scene From the Books Probably Won't Happen

There has been speculation online for months about whether Outlander season four will include a somewhat controversial plot point, one that might seem particularly insensitive or gratuitous in this day and age.

Warning: do not keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled about future events on the show.

In Drums of Autumn, the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, after Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), travels back in time, she meets Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers), an odious man who has already robbed her parents. When she sees that Bonnet is in possession of her mother's wedding ring to Frank (the man Bree considers her father), Brianna approaches him about buying it back. Instead, Bonnet rapes her and gives her the ring as "payment."

The rape not only devastates Brianna at the time, but it also continues to have a ripple effect as the book moves forward (and into subsequent books), as Brianna finds herself pregnant and there is a question of the baby's paternity. A couple of years down the line, they come to realize because of a birthmark that Roger (Richard Rankin) is the boy's father, and Brianna eventually gets her revenge on Bonnet for the rape, but not before it deeply affects her and those around her.

However, based on a couple of things that happen in the season four premiere, "America the Beautiful," we're wondering if the rape is going to be omitted from the show (which would be just fine with us). Here's why we think it might be.

First, it seems the show is making Bonnet more unlikable right from the start. In the book, he seems more like a charming thief when we first meet him. He certainly acts like he is a petty criminal who would only kill someone if his life were threatened. On the show, during the robbery of Jamie and Claire's barge, Bonnet mercilessly slits the throat of Lesley, one of Jamie's friends who is traveling with them and tries to protect Claire from Bonnet. That is not in the book.

In fact, in the book, Bonnet sees himself as honoring his debt to Jamie for helping him escape the British in Charleston. He does rob them, but he won't let his men lay their hands on Claire because Jamie helped him. So until he rapes Brianna, Bonnet seems like a bad guy, but not that bad - a petty criminal, rather than a rapist or a murderer.

But the show takes him from zero to 60 within the first episode, which does make us wonder if the writers are trying to make him a full-on baddie now so they don't have to use the rape as the catalyst later.

The second bit of evidence that has us wondering about the rape is the fact that there is no gold wedding band for Brianna to see Bonnet in possession of; therefore there is no inciting incident to get her in his company for him to then rape her.

Yes, Bonnet does make off with one of Claire's rings at the end of the episode, but it's the wrong ring. The show switches things around - Claire manages to keep Frank's ring, and Bonnet steals Jamie's ring. Brianna probably would not recognize her mother's silver ring (maybe she would; it kind of depends on how much Claire wore it when she was raising Brianna). But that makes things needlessly convoluted when the show's writers could have simply left things the way the book is written, with Bonnet taking Frank's ring.

Without that plot point, maybe Brianna doesn't encounter Bonnet at all, or maybe it's in a different context. We'll have to wait and see. One thing we do know: the show has neither confirmed nor denied the inclusion of Brianna's rape in the season's story arc.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Ron D. Moore did say back in March that since the rape is "a big story point," there "wasn't really an option not to do it. It's more a question of how you're going to do it and what it meant to that story in how you presented it."

But speaking with us during a recent interview, Starz maintained that the EPs haven't really confirmed whether or not the rape is going to happen. Those may seem like conflicting reports, but the main point is that it sounds like the rape plot point will be quite different than it was in the book. Hopefully, that might mean the show doesn't use the rape as a dramatic incident in Roger and Brianna's relationship. Guess we'll all find out together.

Here's Why Claire Tries to Swallow Her Rings on Outlander - and What It Might Lead To

At the end of Outlander's season four premiere, titled "America the Beautiful," Claire and Jamie's traveling party is set upon by bandits, led by Stephen Bonnet, a dastardly villain who is going to be a presence on the show for a while. In the melee, Claire pops something into her mouth, and nonbook readers may be wondering exactly what was going on there. Here's an explanation.

Warning: slight spoilers from the books ahead.

In Drums of Autumn, the Diana Gabaldon book on which season four is based, Bonnet attacks the barge to rob Claire and Jamie. He knows from traveling with them previously that they have several things of value - most notably a pouch full of gemstones, which they took from Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek) back in Jamaica.

But Bonnet is a greedy villain and demands that Claire give him her two wedding rings. She wears a gold band on her left ring finger from her marriage to Frank (Tobias Menzies) and a silver band on her right ring finger from her marriage to Jamie. She refuses and does the only thing she can think of: she pops them into her mouth and tries to swallow them.

In the book, Claire manages to get one of them down, but Bonnet digs the other one out of her mouth. It turns out he recovers her gold band, while the silver one stays in Claire's system and she eventually retrieves it. We don't need to spell that part out for you, right?

The show chooses to handle this a bit differently. First off, we see at the episode's end that Claire is unsuccessful in swallowing either ring, but it's hard to tell which ring she still has. In this case, she still has her gold ring from her marriage to Frank; during the fight, the silver ring flies out of her mouth and Bonnet makes off with it. If you're wondering why they switched that around, let us just say that there is an episode down the line in which getting Claire a new ring sets Jamie on an important path - something that is not in the books, but something viewers will be very excited about.

There is also something we'd like to point out about Claire managing to keep Frank's ring instead of Jamie's. In the book, one of the inciting incidents for Stephen Bonnet raping Brianna (Sophie Skelton) is that she sees him in possession of her mother's wedding ring and it's important to her to get it back from Bonnet because it's the wedding band from the man she thinks of as her father (Frank). So Brianna arranges to meet Bonnet on his ship, and that's when he rapes her. He then gives her the ring as "payment."

If there is no Frank wedding band for Brianna to see (because Claire still has it), perhaps the show is cutting out the rape plot line. Food for thought. Though this is all pure speculation - we don't know how that all plays out because the episodes we've seen so far didn't get to that point in the story.

Outlander airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.

What Does Miss Wardwell Want on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? Her Motives Are Pretty Twisted

Warning: big ol' spoilers for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina below!

I have to hand it to Miss Wardwell - she makes being pure evil look damn good. I have no doubt that stock in red lipstick and floral dresses will soar after the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premiere, all thanks to her.

But I digress!

What we're really here to talk about is how f*cking evil Miss Wardwell is, right? The character, played by Michelle Gomez, starts off the season as a mousy teacher at Sabrina's mortal high school who makes the mistake of picking up a stranded "woman" on the side of the road. After inviting her inside her home, the stranger makes quick work of Miss Wardwell, taking over her body and morphing into a chic but twisted villainess dead set on turning Sabrina into Satan's personal plaything.

If you caught yourself wavering on whether or not Miss Wardwell is really a villain at certain points throughout the series, you're not the only one - she's pricking the voodoo doll she made of Sabrina one minute and then saving her from the nightmarish wrath of the Batibat the next. But make no mistake: even when Miss Wardwell is saving Sabrina and the rest of the Spellmans from certain doom, it's all with the goal of steering the young witch permanently down the Path of Night.

During a conversation with Sabrina, Miss Wardwell paints a picture of how she arrived in Greendale. She claims she was once engaged to a mortal in New Hampshire, which got her excommunicated by her own coven, so she joined Sabrina's father's coven instead. She says she became Edward's acolyte and explains he tasked her with watching over Sabrina before his death in the plane crash. None of this is true, however, since it later becomes clear that Miss Wardwell will do anything to get closer to Sabrina.

We see her treachery come out when she kills Susie's uncle with a voodoo doll and persuades Sabrina to perform an exorcism on a mortal and later to attempt to bring Harvey's dead brother back to life. All of this is done to apparently push Sabrina further away from her human side, in hopes of fulfilling "the Dark Lord's prophecy." By the end of season one, Miss Wardwell succeeds in her goal of driving a wedge between Sabrina and Harvey and convinces her to sign over her free will to Satan in order to be imbued with enough power to save Greendale from an evil, vengeful coven of undead witches (it's . . . a long story). Sabrina suddenly gets platinum blond hair and a darker edge to her personality, but we'll have to wait to see how the change truly effects her in season two.

As for Miss Wardwell, she finally reveals who she actually is in the final few minutes of the season finale. While chatting with Principal George Hawthorne, who she has gagged and tied up in her home, she tells him she's "the mother of demons, the dawn of doom, Satan's concubine." She goes on:

"I'm Lilith, first wife to Adam, saved from despair by a fallen angel. I call myself Madame Satan in his honor. But soon, very soon, I'll have a new title. You see, once I finish grooming Sabrina to take my place . . . I'll earn a crown and a throne by his side. Who am I? I'm the future queen of Hell."

Then, she proceeds to rip off her human face and eat the principal (as one does). When her familiar, a crow, warns her that the Dark Lord might be using her to groom Sabrina into being his bride, instead of Miss Wardwell, she crushes the animal in her hands. We can only hope that foreshadowing will be explored in the upcoming second season.

This Wild AHS: Apocalypse Theory Explains How Michael Could Win, Even If He Loses

Just like the world as we know it, American Horror Story: Apocalypse is coming to an end. With precious little time left until the unpredictable finale, we're doing everything we can to figure out what the end game is. This, of course, means we'll have to reconcile the slightly wonky timeline that starts in 2020 before leaping forward 18 months and then flashing back three years. Given the fact that the first three episodes very much take place in a postapocalyptic world, we're betting all the disparate time chunks will collide in the 10th episode, with the events of the past finally meeting up with the present.

Once we get to this point, your guess is as good as mine. Will the witches reverse the apocalypse, thereby stopping the Antichrist and solving that strange issue where the Hotel Cortez (and the world) is still standing in 2022? Will it turn out that Outpost 3 really is just a big trap for Michael? All signs point to Satan and his son failing to go through with the End of Times. But one theory proves Michael may have an ace up his sleeve, one that will truly give him the last laugh. (Who needs timeline continuity in the AHS universe anyway?)

This theory comes courtesy of Reddit user itsPattio. Basically, it posits that Michael knew the witches would be concocting their own plan to stop him. This means the theory that Outpost 3 is a trap could very well be true . . . and part of Michael's larger scheme. As you might remember, Michael first arrives and interviews potential candidates to take to the "Sanctuary," an impregnable fortress where survivors can truly rebuild in the postapocalyptic world. Only the cream of humanity's crop will be allowed in the Sanctuary.

Our friend itsPattio suggests that this Sanctuary is actually a trap Michael has set. Michael may bank on the fact that the witches will show up and revive those that have been killed. And once Michael is dead, they'll all head for the Sanctuary. It would make sense for Timothy and Emily to become the new "Adam and Eve" in this so-named "Reverse Garden of Eden." After all, they've been set up as Adam-and-Eve-like characters from the very start: a young man and woman, forbidden to have sex and committing the sin anyway. There's even a special emphasis placed on the fact that they need to survive the apocalypse. They have a special role to play.

If we follow the story of Genesis, Emily and Timothy may somehow unleash a new kind of evil unto the world. This part's a bit murky, and we imagine AHS will interpret the story in their own wild way. I know what you're thinking: isn't Michael the Antichrist? There can't be another Antichrist! As luck would have it, though, there are multiple beasts contained in the Bible's Book of Revelation. After the Antichrist comes The Beast of the Sea, then The Beast of the Land. It would be a superbleak ending, but it's possible Michael's role is just to be the purveyor of the true apocalypse. Once he's dead, the nightmare really begins. I don't know about you, but I'm suddenly very worried for Cordelia and the rest of the coven.

Priyanka Chopra's Bachelorette Party Dresses Have Sophie Turner Calling Her "Bride Goals"

Priyanka Chopra's looking feathery and fierce during her bachelorette festivities. The actress, joined by friends and her "J Sister" Sophie Turner, celebrated her upcoming wedding to Nick Jonas with a trip to Amsterdam. Taking a note from her previous fashion picks, Priyanka chose not one but two looks featuring feathers for her weekend away.

The actress first showed off a feathery ensemble during her Tiffany & Co. bridal shower, when she stepped out in an all-white Marchesa number. Priyanka stuck with a similar style as her celebrations continued and rocked an off-the-shoulder sweater dress with knee-high boots in Amsterdam. But she didn't stop there. Sophie even called her future sister-in-law "bride goals" as she waltzed around in a feathered cape dress. See more snaps of Priyanka's outfits ahead - a delicate, feathery gown could make a perfect Winter wedding dress, just sayin'.

Princess Eugenie's LBD Is Basically the Polar Opposite of Her Wedding Dress

Princess Eugenie is back after her wedding festivities and stepping out to support her husband Jack Brooksbank. The newly married royal made an appearance at a party for Casamigos, the tequila brand Jack works for, on Nov. 2. She opted for a stylish all-black minidress for the occasion that's basically the polar opposite of her wedding gown.

While Eugenie opted for a classically elegant Peter Pilotto dress for her big day, she chose a much different outfit for her first post-wedding public appearance. Her short black dress featured lace detailing around the collar and paired perfectly with her oversize matching coat. She tied the whole ensemble together with a matching square bag and navy velvet booties.

Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice, also made an appearance at the Casamigos bash, after spending the first half of the evening at the Global Gift Gala with Victoria Beckham. Beatrice picked a black-and-white Gucci maxi dress ($5,900) that transitioned well for both celebrations. Check out the stunning looks from both royals ahead.

The Trendiest November Shopping List You Could Ever Ask For, Right Here

This November, we're looking ahead to party season, thinking about how to balance stylish looks with cozy fits, and accessorizing with warm layers. We're also super excited about the new POPSUGAR at Kohl's drop, which includes staples sophisticated enough for the office and outerwear that feels truly timeless. Whether you're in the market for a new pair of boots, some glamorous jewelry to spice up your evening attire, or even the freshest denim, we're about to inspire you big time.

The Only Thing Sexier Than Priyanka Chopra's Sequined, Slitted Dresses? These Shoes

We can't be completely sure what Priyanka Chopra will wear on her wedding day, but if her feathery Marchesa bridal shower dress was any indication, it'll scream glamour. Priyanka's known to try on some of the freshest looks in the book with the help of her stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, and the shoes she's been wearing are no exception. Priyanka owns plenty of Fendi, from sporty co-ord sets to keepsake handbags, but these mesh logo heels fall in line with the rest of her footwear.

It seems like lately, transparency is key for Priyanka. She styled PVC sandals with a slinky chainmail dress, see-through, cap-toe pumps with sequins, and who can forget the ornate Jimmy Choo x Off-White stilettos she rocked at Meghan Markle's wedding? Will Priyanka give rise to a new trend in bridal wear and slip into sheer pumps with her wedding gown? The idea doesn't seem too far-fetched. Ahead, zoom in on Priyanka's slingbacks, then shop them for yourself, or a similar option.

The 60 Victoria's Secret Angels Who Are About to Storm the Runway

We were excited about Winnie Harlow's reaction to being cast in the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which is set to air on Sunday, December 2. But now the brand has announced its full lineup, with the return of Behati Prinsloo after a three year hiatus, and confirmation that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are keeping their wings. With the mix of newcomers and vets about to take the runway, we could read these ladies' enthusiastic posts revealing the news to their followers for hours.

While it's obvious that Victoria's Secret is aiming to diversify its lineup in terms of ethnicity, the brand still has a long way to go when you consider the one, singular type of body that's presented on the stage each season. That said, we applaud a group that comes from different backgrounds and will meet at the spectacle that is this major event on Nov. 8, when the show is taped in NYC. Read on to get to know the gals, starting with the newbies, and don't forget to watch their adorable videos and read their emotional captions.

Meghan Markle's Magical Skirt Is Like the Disney Princess Dress You Want to Reach Out and Touch

Remember when you were just a kid, and you were beyond excited to meet a princess in Disneyland so you could finally reach out and touch her magical gown? No? Just me? Well anyway, when I laid eyes upon the bespoke Givenchy sweater and midi skirt combo Meghan debuted on the final day of the royal tour in New Zealand, my heart skipped a beat. It looked to be navy at first glance, but as Meghan spun around, received flowers, and bent down to greet young children in Rotorua, you could see her pleats boasted many shades of blue.

The gorgeous design was a delight to take in from all angles as Meghan walked under the sunlight, but as she stood by Prince Harry's side at Rainbow Springs, where the couple learned about New Zealand's endangered kiwi bird, her outfit appeared sophisticated and well-tailored, too. Read on to see how Meghan accessorized with Manolo Blahnik suede pumps ($625) and Boh Runga disc earrings ($216), then pick up a similar whimsical skirt for your own collection.

8 Holiday Fashion Trends That Will Make You Feel Like a Glam Queen, For Sure

When we think about getting dressed for holiday parties, the task can seem daunting. Our goal is to feel totally glamorous, but if that sequined dress comes a little too short and those old party heels have a rhinestone missing, well then, what are you to do? We curated a list of the eight most tasteful trends worth shopping to make 2018 Winter evenings out worth your while. Invest in at least two of these no-brainer looks, and you'll actually turn quite a few heads when you walk through the door (no, we're not just saying that). Scroll for the breakdown, and make sure you have enough battery life to snap a picture on your phone. You'll want to look back on the nights when you were wearing these clothes.

Meet the Power-Woman Shoe That Isn't Ballet Flats or Heels

Heels make you look (and feel) taller, stand straighter, and walk with confidence, so it's clear why they've always been a power-woman favorite. The downside, however, is that a four-inch pump isn't the comfiest choice when you're standing for presentations, and for ladies who hate wearing heels, you'll want a better alternative for the office. So when we had the chance to chat with Rati Levesque, chief merchant at The RealReal, we had to pick her brain on shoes and trends. We wanted to know: what's her shoe pick for the modern working woman?

To our delight, she said, "If you love the comfort of the block heel though and want an alternative for the office, I would suggest classic loafers. They're always timeless, and thanks to Gucci, they're also cool again."

Since the style catapulted back to popularity, there have been many variations of the classic, from patent leather to velvet finishes, in backless silhouettes, and in a range of rich colors. Thanks to these small updates to an already timeless shoe, the loafer still has a spot in our closets now and into 2019. It's in the same league as ballet flats and comfier than stiletto heels, making it an instant must have for power women. You likely own a pair already, but if you don't, you'll want to shop the options ahead.

If Japanese Princess Ayako's Sweet Love Story Doesn't Win You Over, Her Wedding Dresses Will

Japan's Princess Ayako has now given up her title to wed longtime love Kei Moriya, who is not of royal descent. Despite the law that says women must give up their ties to and fortune from the imperial family if they choose to marry outside of royalty, Ayako and Kei tied the knot during a ceremony at Tokyo's Meiji Shrine.

Interestingly, despite the difficult decision the couple made, there were so many small details that paid homage to Ayako's heritage and Japanese nobility, most noticeably in each of her bridal looks. While Moriya completed his pinstripe pants and long blazer with a silk top hat that belonged to Ayako's father, Ayako's two gowns were keepsakes that date back to Japan's Heian era and have been worn by ancestors.

Ayako's first ensemble, an embroidered uchiki kimono, hit just below her knees, so she could show off her purple hakama, a type of trouser that she coordinated with her matching shoes. Once she reached the temple, she changed into a traditional red kouchiki made of silk that cascaded like a waterfall down to the floor.

At a celebratory banquet later on, Ayako's outfit seemed to scream "forever a princess," as the dress's delicate floral appliqué laid so elegantly over a sugar-pink, full-skirted gown. Read on to see photos of Ayako and Moriya enjoying the day with their guests, and zoom in on the meticulous details of their outfits, which will go down in history just like their love story.

Meghan Markle May Have Officially Accepted Princess Diana's Aquamarine Ring as Her Own - Wouldn't You?

Meghan Markle has already worn Princess Diana's jewelry multiple times, and she brought along the late royal's butterfly earrings and diamond bracelet for her tour of Australia with Prince Harry. But her most significant homage to Diana came with the aquamarine Asprey ring Meghan styled with her Stella McCartney reception gown on the evening of her wedding. Diana famously wore the gorgeous keepsake on the red carpet in October 1996 - and she also happened to be in Australia. Coincidence? We think not.

Now it seems like Meghan might have officially added the design to her own collection. At the very least, she's become dedicated to it, flaunting it for a second time by her husband's side in Tonga. Meghan amped up her white Theia dress with the glamorous piece, officially proving that your "something blue" doesn't need to be reserved for your wedding week. Meghan's appearance reminded us of her bridal look through and through, but it's the beauty of the icy gemstone that will stick with us most. Read on to see how it was passed down to Meghan, and get close-ups of her two major moments wearing it.

Meghan Markle's Chic Puffer Jacket Is the Only Coat You'll Want to Wear This Fall

Is there anything Meghan Markle can't wear? Well, the answer is a resounding no. On her last day in New Zealand, the Duchess of Sussex swapped her pretty Stella McCartney midi dress for basic black skinny jeans by Mother Denim ($196), a navy Givenchy blouse, and black The Starling flats by Birdies ($120) when she and Prince Harry went for a walk in the forest. The star of her outfit, however, was her chic and understated puffer jacket from Scandinavian brand Norrona, which she adorably borrowed from her husband.

Loved by celebrities and royalty alike (who could forget Kate Middleton's bright number?), the puffer jacket has been enjoying a well-deserved renaissance, and Meghan is here to prove that finding a cozy yet cute Winter coat really doesn't have to be a struggle. Read on to get a closer look at the duchess's latest tour outfit, then get your hands on this royalty-approved jacket before it sells out, as well as similar options.

So we went back into the archives and found plenty of Mary's chicest looks, which, truth be told, may be a bit more daring than those seen on Kate. Read on to see them all as we hold out hope for Kate this year.

I Resolved to Be Healthier and Happier in 2018, and I'm Still Going Strong - Here's How

I remember exactly how driven I was to invest in myself heading into the New Year. It wasn't that I was exceptionally lost, rather I simply hadn't been focusing enough on the things that would improve my well-being from the inside out. I was working too much, eating in ways that didn't fuel my body, and neglecting to nourish my soul, and I had fallen out of my once-religious cycle of working out consistently.

It was a culmination of acknowledging all these things that truly motivated me. And while I find the tradition of New Year's resolutions a little silly (you can make a change anytime), I did use the year shift as my turning point. Here's how I reshaped my life in just 12 months.
