30 Cats Sitting on Santa's Lap That May or May Not Be Poised to Attack

If you're a cat owner, you know that most cats only like to be snuggled on their own terms, and even then, there's a very delicate balance between "I'm going to lie here forever" and "Peace out, homie!" That simple fact is what makes these photos of cats sitting on Santa's lap 100 million times funnier, because as cute as these felines all are (SO. DAMN. CUTE.), you just know that they've all got to be mentally poised to attack at any given moment.

Please, stop whatever you're doing and LOL with me over these hilarious cat photos. (And godspeed, Santa.)

These Were the 10 Products Most Bought by Cat Owners in 2018, So Here Are My Cats' Holiday Gifts

I'm not necessarily the type of pet owner who buys my cats holiday gifts - if I see a cute toy or happen to need to replenish treats around the holidays, then sure, I'll wait until Christmas morning to give my two cats the loot. However, this year they're making out like the little bandits they are because Amazon shared a list of the top 10 products that cat owners purchased this year, and I'm about to add most of them to my cart.

Check out the products ahead - I'll say sorry in advance, because if you're anything like me, you're about to get really hyped and drop $30 on a water fountain bowl.

Meow! These Were the 100 Most Popular Cat Names of 2018

Coming up with a name for your new furry cat friend is one of the most fun parts of adopting a pet (for me, it was a way to channel awful cat puns to pay homage to one of my favorite movies, Dirty Dancing; but no, Jennipurr Grey and Catrick Swayze have not mastered the famous "Time of My Life" lift). If you're looking for a great name for your kitten that doesn't require too much creative thought, take a page out of the book of cat owners who named their kitties some of the following 100 most popular cat names this past year, compiled from Rover.com's user database (and if you're more of a puppy person, check out the most popular dog names of 2018).

Parents, Please Don't Give Your Kids a Puppy on Christmas Morning

Nothing compares to watching the excitement on your kids' faces when they open their gifts on Christmas morning. They eagerly rip open the boxes and their eyes instantly light up when they see that Santa has brought them the thing they've wanted more than anything. And for some on Christmas morning, that means a puppy. Those lovable creatures, with their floppy ears and giant feet, are a guaranteed hit. I mean, who wouldn't want a puppy? They're a great addition to any family. But just because everyone loves them doesn't mean they should be given as gifts. Keep reading for why you shouldn't give a puppy as a gift on Christmas morning, and how to safely bring one home if you do get one during the holiday season.

1. Christmas Is Too Overwhelming

Christmas is a notoriously hectic day. From opening gifts to cooking to having family over or going to someone else's house, Christmas just isn't the time to introduce a tiny puppy into your home and family. Kids, especially little kids, can also get emotional, scream, or grab at the puppy, which could scare them. This is especially true if your new pet isn't house trained yet. Getting a new animal on Christmas will add a whole new level of stress for you and for the puppy.

Dog expert Cesar Millan points out: "You've just thrown [them] into a completely alien environment with no direction, and these early associations are going to stick. The place is unfamiliar, it smells different, and there doesn't seem to be any way out." Unless you're going to stop the whole Christmas gift-giving process and devote your whole day to the dog, chances are you're going to really stress out your new pup.

2. Pets Are Family Members

Living, breathing creatures like puppies and kittens aren't toys - they're new members of the family that will require love and attention for the next 9 to 15 years. Puppies should require a great amount of thought and preparation. They need a fleet of supplies, from crates and beds to food and toys, and they need the time and space to acclimate to their new things and home.

3. Children Might Want to Have a Say

When I've adopted animals in the past, the shelter workers always ask if every member of the family is present and OK with the adoption of a pet. One shelter wouldn't even let me adopt my pup until I brought my roommate in to confirm that she was on board. Largely, this process should hold true for kids. If you're expecting children to love and take care of a puppy for the next decade at least, they should have some say in which puppy they get, otherwise this is just a gift for you, and that's not the way gifts work.

4. Instead, Plan a Family Trip

That being said, you can still "give a puppy" for Christmas. Instead of putting a puppy in a box or stocking, give your kid the puppy toys, the crate, or a leash. Explain to them what this gift means, and that they'll be able to help pick out and rescue their new pet. They'll feel more invested in the process because they get to help. As part of your gift, pick a day as a family to go look at puppies, and after Christmas has died down, come up with a plan. This way, your family is happy and prepared, and a puppy has the best shot at adjusting to their new home and family with ease.

And while grieving is a huge part of coming to terms with the loss of a pet, Mari knew she'd make Austin's holiday season by surprising him with a new cat named Gizzard - or Gizz for short - she rescued from the Humane Society of Genesee County, where she works. Luckily, Mari caught Austin's reaction on camera, and we've never seen something so pure.

"Austin has been a volunteer at [the Humane Society of Genesee County] for about two years now," Mari told POPSUGAR. "He comes in to play with the kitties, walk dogs, and he helps me at events that I plan. Austin loves all animals! But kitties really hold a special place in his heart. Our kitty passed away on Nov. 14, and that was his best friend. He loves to snuggle with them and play with them too."

Can You Really Lose Weight Simply by Taking the Stairs? Here's What a Trainer Had to Say

The treadmill and elliptical are probably part of your cardio routine, but if you haven't added the StairMaster (or just regular stairs) into the mix, you're missing out. While climbing steps can sculpt and tone your butt, it can also help you lose weight, according to Chris Kelly, a NASM-certified personal trainer.

"You can lose weight from climbing stairs, as long as the principles of exercise are accomplished," Chris told POPSUGAR. "The overload principle of exercise states that a greater load or resistance should be placed on the body than it is normally accustomed to - over time, this creates an increase in fitness and weight loss."

The Department of Health and Human Services recommends a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise each week. So, just how much time you'll need to put in on the stairs depends on whether you're walking, jogging, or running them, and what other forms of exercise you get throughout the week. (Also key: watching what you eat.)

As with any exercise, your body will grow accustomed to climbing stairs and need more of a challenge to continue shedding pounds. At that point, Chris suggests upping the intensity as opposed to spending more time on the stairs. If you're using a StairMaster, increase the resistance or speed. If you're utilizing regular stairs, add some ankle weights.

However you step up to the challenge, Chris recommends putting your entire foot on each stair and not just the balls of your feet. This will help with balance and the amount of pressure on your knees. Most people should also avoid climbing stairs that create more than a 90-degree bend in the knee - in other words, don't be a hero and take two at a time.

Is Your LaCroix Habit Hurting Your Health? Experts Answer Once and For All

We can all agree that soda is bad for us; it's filled with tons of sugar, has lots of empty calories, and can rot your teeth. So as a better substitute, many people are turning to sparkling water - hello, LaCroix - seltzer, or club soda. It has all the carbonation of soda without the extra calories and sugar. But is it just as healthy as drinking regular H2O? We asked some experts to find out.

For Your Waistline

If you're reaching for unflavored sparkling or seltzer water, there's not much difference between the bubbly kind and traditional flat water.

"The only difference between regular, flat water and its effervescent counterpart - plain seltzer water - is the addition of carbon dioxide," personal trainer and dietitian Jim White, RD, ACSM, told POPSUGAR. In fact, it's just as hydrating as regular water. If you're opting for plain versions, it's still zero calories and zero sugar and has no added ingredients except for carbon dioxide.

If you're drinking zero-calorie sparkling waters, such as your beloved LaCroix, it can also help you lose weight since they're made with minimal ingredients (usually just "natural flavors") and are still zero calories and zero sugar.

"No doubt that these nutrition facts are an improvement toward one's waistline in comparison to drinking its sugary counterpart: regular soda," Jim said. Just be wary of sparkling waters that are actually made with added sugars, artificial sweeteners, or other ingredients; those could be detrimental to your weight-loss efforts.

For Your Teeth

There was controversy over whether or not sparkling water could harm tooth enamel and result in dental decay. In reality, the pH of carbonated water is about five-and-a-half compared to tap water's seven. While that's more on the acidic side - anything below a seven on the pH scale is acidic - it's not enough to cause too much tooth destruction.

"Sparkling water and regular water have the same effect on enamel, according to the American Dental Association," dentist Ronald T. Plotka, DDS, told POPSUGAR. "It's a little more acidic but not significantly enough to cause any damage to the enamel."

For Your Overall Health

Although sparkling water can be just as hydrating as still water, it's harder to drink as much of it as you can flat water.

"The only factor that could potentially result in seltzer water being less hydrating than regular water is the bubbly effect, which not only may make the water slightly more difficult to drink, but also gives the consumer a 'fully belly' bloated feeling due to the carbonation of the liquid," Jim said, adding that you may end up drinking less liquid throughout the day.

You should still aim to drink about 64 ounces of water a day, although sparkling water could make up some (but not all) of this equation.

Bottom Line

You can still enjoy sparkling water, and it can even help you lose weight, but it shouldn't completely replace still water in your diet.

"Overall, for short periods of time, seltzer water could absolutely be used as a substitute for regular water or perhaps utilized throughout the day alternating with plain water as well," Jim said. "However, long-term replacement of plain water with seltzer water could reduce the consumption of fluid and therefore reduce hydration due to the bloated feeling that results from the consumption of carbonated beverages."

This Is What It's Like to Live With Anxiety, Even on Days When My Life Looks Like Yours

When I first revealed to my college classmates that I battled terrible anxiety, they didn't believe me. I was social, involved in extracurricular activities, and always the one in class who volunteered to present projects first. Little did they know that underneath it all I was suffering, that even though I was able to live a busy, full life, it didn't mean that everything was OK. They didn't realize that these deeply rooted irrational fears and anxieties of mine went back to my early teens.

I remember that first panic attack like it was yesterday. I was a sophomore in high school, sitting in health class, when a sudden rush of anxiety and heat washed over me. I felt this intense urge to leave, to jump up from my desk and run out of the classroom. I was claustrophobic, overwhelmed, and out of control - it wasn't like me. I managed to excuse myself and took refuge in a nearby bathroom, splashing water on my face while audibly trying to calm myself down. The panic, however, grew to no avail. I ended up rushing to the school nurse's office where I hyperventilated for the remainder of the afternoon. I thought I was going to pass out, even screaming for an ambulance at one point. "Try to breathe," the nurse urged me. "You're just having a panic attack."

I've had a very complex, deep relationship with anxiety since I was formally introduced to it that afternoon in high school. When I first began experiencing panic attacks and anxiety, I could never find the words to explain them to people. The things I was feeling were just so complicated. I couldn't handle quiet classrooms, tests, assemblies, and lectures. I would leave restaurants in the middle of a meal, theaters at the start of a movie - really, any setting that attracted crowds was a nightmare for me. On some days I could deal with public transportation, other days not so much. I also suffered bouts of orthorexia - a disorder in which one becomes obsessed with healthy eating - which only contributed to the vicious cycle of my mental illness. "I don't know why I'm feeling this way," I would say to my guidance counselor. "I just feel like I can't function."

Related: I'm Not Shy, I Have Social Anxiety - This Is How I Manage It

As I grew older I learned how to better describe what I was feeling, and started viewing my anxiety as simply another part of me. I learned to function with it daily, to not let it get in the way of the things I wanted to do - not as often, anyway. Instead of labeling my anxiety as purely negative, I began to use it as a sort of litmus test. The jitters that kept me awake at night usually meant I was excited for something on the horizon. Feelings of dread were my mind's way of saying, This is something you may not be keen on doing, but maybe you should just try. The anxiety that came with the holidays and other family gatherings was just a sign that I had some more healing to do.

Although I still live with anxiety and depression, my days are rich with experiences. On weekdays, I usually wake up early and go for a long walk - whether it's over the bridge into the city, or just around the neighborhood running errands. I spend the daytime either working from home or at my co-working space, which I commute to by bus or train. During a typical week, I may have up to 10 meetings, so I'm always connecting with new people. I spend evenings either going to events and out to dinner, or cooking and exercising at home. On weekends you can find me at museums, spending time with my boyfriend and pets, reading, working on passion projects, or exploring the city.

Yes, at times I still get antsy when dining out - just last week, while out to lunch with my boyfriend, I had to do some breathing techniques to ground myself. Sometimes I still feel overwhelmed at the movies and hide away in the bathroom until I can calm myself down. And, yes, during some rush-hour commutes, public transportation makes me feel so claustrophobic that I can barely breathe. Despite all of these mental obstacles and emotional speed bumps, I'm still out and about.

There's a common misconception that those who live with these types of mental illnesses don't have as full a life as those who don't experience them at all - but my day probably doesn't look much different from yours. The truth is, there's no "correct" way to manage them, and you never know the battle someone is waging inside.

I'm a Fitness Model, and These Are the 4 Exercises I Do to Get My Lower Abs to Show

If you want your abdominal muscles to really pop, you're going to need to do a combination of the following things: eat clean, focus on building lean muscle, and train your abs with and without resistance. Getting your lower abs to show can be really difficult and will take some time, but doing these exercises three times a week, along with consistent exercise and clean eating, will transform your lower abs.

I Used CBD Oil Every Day For 2 Months, and Here’s What I Learned

Ever since CBD oil recently became mainstream in the US, I've had a ton of questions. Is there really no THC in it? Does it actually help alleviate anxiety? And most importantly, will this make me sleepy as hell when I don't want to be?

Although I was itching to try it for a few months and was already obsessed with CBD For Life's Rub when it came to relieving my sore muscles, I was too chicken to take the plunge into actually giving it a whirl until my friend Emily sent me a few samples of CBD For Life's Phytocannabinoid Rich Hemp Non-Flavored Tincture ($40).

For those people who are wary about the fact that CBD oil is derived from the marijuana plant like I was, rest assured there's no THC - the component in marijuana that gets you high - in the products. So while CBD oil is cannabidiol, you don't need to worry about any adverse effects as far as psychoactive results are concerned. Another thing to keep in mind? You don't need a medical marijuana card (something that's impossible for now in New Jersey!) to buy it.

Excited, I went home that night after work, put on my fancy pajamas and settled in. After reading the instructions on the back of the bottle, I opted to try a dropper's worth - so 1 mL - of oil on my first go-round. Thirty minutes after putting it under my tongue and leaving it there for a minute, I was still waiting for something to happen. Then I kept waiting. Disappointed that nothing was "happening," I turned off my lamp and went to bed.

Despite being underwhelmed the first night, I woke up feeling amazing. As someone who typically wakes up at 2 a.m. with anxiety about literally everything, I rose for my day having clocked an uninterrupted eight hours. And I could feel it instantly. Finally, I realized how restful it can be when you actually sleep.

Feeling like I might be onto something, I decided to take a relatively small amount of CBD oil, between 20 and 40 milligrams, every single day for 60 days to see if I felt any better in the long term. Here's what I've found:

Eggnog Hummus Shakes Are Here For the Holidays, and Santa's Very Confused

Every year, healthy seasonal drinks pop up and replace our beloved Christmas classics. Around this time last year, we nearly drowned ourselves in Trader Joe's non-dairy Almond Nog, and this year, we're taking it up a notch with an Eggnog Hummus Shake from The Hummus & Pita Co. Intrigued? Us, too. The Mediterranean food chain recently rolled out hummus-based shakes in five different gluten- and dairy-free flavors, but original, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio, and butter pecan are going to have to take a back seat to the new eggnog spin.

The Eggnog Hummus Shake is made with chickpeas, tahini, banana, dates, and almond milk. Vegan eggnog is blended within the hummus-based mix and then topped with nutmeg. We know what you're thinking and nope, according to many Instagram users, the original flavors don't taste like hummus. In fact, they taste like bananas! Somewhere up at the North Pole, Santa is going through his files and determining which vegans were naughty or nice, and which will be able to get their hands on the shake. The Eggnog Hummus Shake is now available at all Hummus & Pita Co. locations.

Heart Pumping? Check. Legs and Arms Burning? Check. This 30-Minute Workout Has It All

Get in your cardio and strength training in just 30 minute with this AMRAP workout, which in CrossFit terms stands for as many rounds as possible. It's just three exercises that you cycle through as many times as you can. Seems simple enough, right? But you should know that in CrossFit, basic definitely doesn't mean easy. And actually, the workouts that look simple on paper tend to be the most challenging, both physically and mentally.

This is a total-body workout that's fast-paced with no rest, so get ready to sweat, burn, and grunt. Push yourself hard, and challenge yourself to see how many rounds you can do. By the end, you'll feel so pumped knowing you're getting stronger and more badass every day.

30-Minute CrossFit Workout

Directions: Perform as many rounds as possible of the below workout:

30 calories on the rower (about two to three minutes)
20 wall balls
10 ring rows

Modifications: If you don't have access to a rower, use another machine, run in place, or do burpees. If you're at home, you can also run up and down the stairs. You'll also need a soft medicine ball, eight to 14 pounds, but if you don't have one, just hold dumbbells in each hand and do dumbbell thrusters instead. As for ring rows, if you don't have access to rings or a TRX, you can do bar rows with a bar, or use a sturdy table. With so many modifications, you have no excuses not to do this workout!

I'm a Trainer, and This Strength Workout Will Boost Your Metabolism, Burn Fat, and Build Muscle

Nope, this isn't clickbait, just in case you were wondering. We know there are a lot of myths about boosting your metabolism: eating spicy foods and drinking water first thing in the morning are a few. It is possible to speed up your metabolism naturally, and it's actually rather easy to do. According to experts, you can and should begin to eat more high-protein foods and healthy fats because your body has to expend more energy (which means a greater caloric burn) to process them.

Another easy way to boost your metabolism is to begin lifting weights. Strength training will allow you to burn more calories and build more muscle. If you're wondering why you should do more strength training instead of Pilates (not that Pilates is bad), it's because you build muscle when you lift weights, and muscle is metabolically active. The more muscle mass you have, the more energy your body produces, which will increase your metabolic rate, which is your body's ability to burn calories.

Now that you've got the rundown on the importance of your metabolism, it's time to get ready to work. The goal of this workout is to help you build muscle. You don't need to repeat it every day, but it's a good starting point to help you increase your metabolism. If you're looking for more workouts to follow, try this four-week beginner weightlifting plan.

The Metabolism-Boosting Workout

The first step to any workout is a quality warmup. Here's a quick warmup you can do. Once your muscles are warm, it's time to get to work. You'll need at least one set of dumbbells. Since everyone has different strength levels, select a weight that you can lift with proper form for all the reps. If you don't feel challenged after a couple of reps, increase the weight. I usually have a medium set of dumbbells for upper body (10-20 pounds is a good starting point) and a heavier pair for lower-body exercises (15-30 pounds).

For each exercise, complete the listed sets and reps before moving on to the following exercise. Ideally, you should take no more than 30 seconds of rest in between each set and about 60-90 seconds of rest in between each exercise. If you need more rest, feel free to take it. Don't forget to cool down and stretch after your workout.

  • Dumbbell bench press: four sets of 12 reps
  • Bent-over row: four sets of 12 reps
  • Barbell squat: four sets of 12 reps
  • Dumbbell walking lunge: two sets of 10 reps
  • Dumbbell thruster: three sets of 12 reps
  • Romanian deadlift: four sets of 12 reps

The Basics of Consuming Cannabis - For Total Rookies

The following post was originally published on Miss Grass.

There's never been a better time to try cannabis. The science is barreling ahead, and options are bountiful. This story is part one of a four-part series on the basics of cannabis.

Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself sweating at a party because someone's pulled out the weed. If pressing the joint to your lips, you've cursed yourself for choking on an excuse not to partake. If paranoid about what you've said (or haven't), you've bumbled your way through an Irish goodbye because leaving a party immediately was never so important. Raise your hand if this is you.

For a lot of people, cannabis is a really scary thing. Not just anyone can look swaggery smoking a joint. There's real cache to being good at it. But let's be real: high school ruined cannabis for a lot of us. And to this day, the sight of a joint is little more than an embarrassing reminder of how little time we dedicated to dealing with that PTSD.

As cannabis makes its way into the zeitgeist and the greenrush hits its stride, the little plant is getting a second chance. And noncannabis users deserve the straight goods on how it's changed.

For some advice on where to start, I spoke to bona fide cannabis expert Samantha Miller, president and chief scientist at Pure Analytics (a cannabis lab in Santa Rosa, CA). According to Miller, a lot of cannabis users aren't trying to get high at all. There are people who use it for anxiety, for pain, and for sleep, while others use it much like someone might use a drink.

"[Cannabis] can be great for the new user who wants to take a little bit of a vacation from their state of mind," says Miller. "It's the replacement of a glass of wine at the end of the day."

You can consume cannabis in all kinds of ways, at all levels of potency, to all sorts of effects. But Miller recommends three specific modes of ingestion for the new user and keeping a strain journal just like any good wine aficionado might. She says this is our best tool while getting to know the plant, the body, and how the two fit together.

1. The Oil Vaporizer

If you like the idea of carrying a little cannabis with you at all times, an oil vaporizer like Wildflower's CBD one is a good discreet option. This product comes preloaded with a concentrated CBD oil cartridge, so there's no fuss or muss. And it won't leave you smelling of cannabis either. Expect a nonpsychoactive, consistent, and repeatable experience.

2. Smokable Flower

Flower is what we call the actual cannabis bud in its unprocessed state, and it's what you grind up to roll into a joint or smoke from a pipe. Flower is a good option if you have a bit of an appetite for the unknown. Even if you buy the same flower from the same dispensary and the same farmer, there's no guarantee you'll have the same experience each time you go back. Miller recommends reaching for more top shelf flower and asking your budtender (the person at the dispensary) for something with under 20 percent THC. If rolling a joint is beyond your skill set, you can always ask for a prerolled joint, too.

3. The Edible Treat

Edibles tend to terrify people. But dosed properly, they can actually have the most mellow and predictable effect of all. It's worth noting, the high from edibles is different - more of a body high than a head high. Miller suggests starting with edibles that have no more than 5 mg of THC. And if you're feeling especially enterprising, consider setting yourself up to make DIY edibles at home.

If You've Hit a Weight-Loss Plateau, This Could Be Why

So you're hitting the gym every day, tracking your food, and getting plenty of sleep, but the scale still won't budge - what gives? If you have been losing weight steadily but suddenly find the scale stuck at a standstill, you could be in a weight-loss plateau.

As personal trainer and fitness coach Sam Frohlich (@sam_xceedfit) explained in an Instagram post, there could be several reasons you are stuck:

  • You dropped calories too quickly or by too much: Although eating in a calorie deficit is important, if you eat too few calories or drop too quickly, it could slow down your metabolism and backfire.
  • You haven't changed your training plan: It's important to find activity you like, but if you don't mix it up, your body will become complacent.
  • You don't count sneaky calories: Every handful of M&M's, teaspoon of nut butter, and bite of your partner's food adds up.
  • You've become content: If you started your weight-loss journey with tons of energy and enthusiasm but find yourself slacking off, it could impede your progress.

Sam said to "basically do the opposite of the things in this infographic." Be mindful of everything you eat, and track every single bite. You should still be within your daily calorie target (to find out what that should be for weight loss, use this formula). If you mostly do cardio for workouts, incorporate strength training. And if you have lost your weight-loss mojo, here are some tips to stay motivated.

The Bodyweight Exercise You Should Be Doing For Stronger Legs and Better Stability

One key to strength training and building muscle is to make sure your muscles are being challenged. If you never change the stimuli (weight, reps, sets, exercises), your muscles will adapt and eventually stop growing and getting stronger. Because our glutes are the biggest muscle group in our body (our quadriceps and hamstrings also top that list), it's important to have an arsenal of ways to work them.

Squats are great for improving your lower-body strength, and one of my favorite variations is the pistol squat. It's a unilateral exercise (a single-leg movement) that will help strengthen both sides of your body equally (goodbye, imbalances), and it will improve your strength and stability.

How to Do a TRX Pistol Squat

  • Start facing the anchor point with the straps at midlength and your hands on the handles.
  • Step back so there's no slack on the suspension trainer.
  • With your feet about hips-width apart, lift your right leg off the ground.
  • With your arms fully extended and tension on the suspension trainer, lower down into a squat. Be sure to keep your weight shifted back on your heels while maintaining a neutral spine. Your arms should be extended throughout the entire movement.
  • Drive your left heel through the ground as you come into a standing position. There should be a slight bend at your left knee. Be sure not to pull yourself up with your arms. Instead, push yourself up with your leg. This completes one rep.
  • Complete three sets of eight to 10 reps on each leg.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet's PDA on the "Blue" Carpet Proves They're Wild About Each Other

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are crazy in love, and if you have any doubt, just check out their pictures from the Aquaman premiere. The couple made a joint appearance in Hollywood to walk the "blue" carpet on Dec. 12, and they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. They traded kisses and cuddled up like no one was watching - a true sign that they're still head over heels.

Lisa wasn't the only one to show support to Jason on premiere day. Their kids, 11-year-old Lola and 9-year-old Nokoa-Wolf, tagged along and Jason's mom Connie Momoa made an appearance. Lola and Nokoa-Wolf also joined their dad in an intense haka. Looks like being a badass runs in the family!

Jason and Lisa met back in 2005, but didn't actually tie the knot until November 2017. In addition to Lola and Nokoa-Wolf, they're also parents to Zoë Kravitz, Lisa's daughter from her marriage with Lenny Kravitz. This blended family is well-known for keeping things friendly and their close bond.

Jason Momoa Did the Haka With His Kids at the Aquaman Premiere, and I May Never Recover

Jason Momoa's at it again, folks. You might like to think you've sufficiently recovered from his Saturday Night Live striptease, and nothing can phase you anymore, but you'd better sit down for this. The 39-year-old actor kicked off the Aquaman Hollywood premiere on Dec. 12 with an intense haka performance with members of the cast, and his kids chanted right alongside him.

Jason's no stranger to the traditional Maori haka. He took part in a chant with a group of shirtless fighters (mhmm, you read that right) while filming Aquaman in New Zealand, and even used the haka as part of his Game of Thrones audition. This performance was extra special, however, because his 11-year-old daughter Lola and 9-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf joined in, as his wife Lisa Bonet cheered them on from the side. Well that, and he broke his trident clean in half when the haka began. Watch the full chant in all its glory above, and then keep reading to catch it from different angles - if you dare. I recommend keeping smelling salts and something soft to land on nearby, just in case.
