Alessandra Ambrosio Found the Cheekiest Bikini Known to Mankind - and Only For $79!
When I'm home for the holidays, I pretty much live in oversize t-shirts and sweatpants as I shovel Christmas cookies down my throat and binge-watch Law & Order: SVU. But Alessandra Ambrosio? She's celebrating the festive time of year by frolicking on the beach in a skimpy bikini. The 37-year-old supermodel was just spotted on the shores of Brazil in an electric blue Triangl swimsuit that put all - and I mean all - of her assets on display.
Alessandra's ribbed two-piece featured a scoop-neck top and cheeky bottoms that made her legs look miles long, and she showed off her derrière as she waded into the water. She styled her cobalt bikini with a straw hat, round sunglasses, dainty necklaces, and gold bracelets. Keep reading to admire Alessandra's barely there swimwear from all angles, and shop her exact suit and similar styles for yourself.
I Asked For Selena Gomez's Sleek White Shoes For Christmas, Didn't You?
After showing off quite a few athleisure looks, Selena Gomez slipped into something more sophisticated for a post-Christmas outing in LA. The star coordinated ivory cropped slacks with a cozy turtleneck sweater and Gucci Brixton loafers ($730), a classic shoe I've been eyeing for awhile, mostly because of its versatility.
While you can rock these with any number of dresses and casual denim, you can also tuck away the heel and convert these into a backless slide, which I'm crazy about. Selena skipped over-the-top accessories, sweeping up her hair and aiming for effortless vibes. Read on to take another peek, zoom in on her splurge-worthy footwear, then shop a whole range of similar styles at varying price points.
Amal Clooney's Best Outfits of the Year Could Last Us a Whole Lifetime
Fashion trends come and go, but Amal Clooney seems to ignore them. While she picks up statement-making pieces she's interested in along the way - hello, laminated off-white floral heels and thigh-high pant-boots - she works them so seamlessly into the rest of her wardrobe. Amal can go the boho route one day and turn up to the office in a sophisticated skirt suit the next. In 2018, she's showed us her varied taste on the street and at important public appearances. We're sure there is more to come from this polished style savant, power mom, and charitable leader, but for now, we're taking a look at Amal's year so far in some downright cool clothes.

The Bouquets Had Lightsaber Handles at This Star Wars Wedding - and the Bride Wore Black
If you want to bring the Force to your nuptials, look no further than Crystal and Jonathan's gorgeous Star Wars-themed wedding for inspiration. The two first met while they were students at Purdue University, which is why the campus holds a great deal of sentimental value to the pair. They fittingly decided to have their wedding at the Purdue Memorial Union and embellished the place with decor inspired by their favorite film franchise. "Their reception was Star Wars-themed and it was amazing! They made most of the decorations and each table's centerpiece was a different world from Star Wars. Crystal hand made all of the bouquets with origami flowers and lightsaber handles," said Jasmine Norris-Dixson, the woman behind the camera who captured the happy moments from the wedding. "Also, the Star Wars theme was a surprise for all their guests."
The pair had so many more layers of unique ideas catered to their love story. For instance, instead of a traditional layered cake, they opted for a delicious cookie cake with the phrase, "'Til the Death Star do we part" written in frosting on it. The newlyweds explained their decision, saying: "We got Insomnia Cookies instead of a big fancy cake. We wanted to capture our time at Purdue in the food and feel of the wedding, and Insomnia Cookies is a big part of that." There are so many more cute details to look out for, so keep reading!

This shoot was designed by Jade from Let's Bee Together, who pulled off this entire gorgeous shoot only three weeks before her son was born. Jade enlisted photographer Cristina Ilao to help create these enchanting photos at the Styal Lodge in the county of Cheshire in the British countryside.
"I came up with a mood board full of pastel and iridescent colors and worked with a fantastic team of talented wedding vendors to put it all together," said Jade on bringing her vision to reality. "I am a huge lover of light and airy photography, so Cristina Ilao was the perfect photographer for this styled shoot - I couldn't have asked for better photos! The whole shoot turned out really well with lots of fairy tale feeling elements from the swinging cake stand, to the romantic lace boots, to the iridescent glassware on the tablescape, this shoot really had it all and I adored every element of the day."
The bride looks radiant in a custom-made gown with a multicolor pastel train and intricately embroidered detailing. Take Your Hot Chocolate From Good to Great With These Spiked Hot Cocoa Recipes
While some people love Winter and all the things that come with it (Skiing! Sweaters!), it's also the time of year where the cold makes you want to bundle up, put on a pair of cozy socks, and plop yourself on the couch. Luckily, there's another Winter staple to add to the mix: hot chocolate. Since childhood, the sweet treat is something to enjoy on a cold night or during a snow day. Now that we're all adults here, we can do what we want, and you know what that means? Boozy hot chocolate. Adding vodka, bourbon, or other liqueurs to hot cocoa elevates it to fancy cocktail level without losing its comforting traits.
So whether you're snuggling up solo under your blanket, with your sweet pet, or next to the person who makes your heart skip a beat, here are some spiked hot chocolate recipes that you'll want to make all season long.
Help! I've Fallen Madly in Love With Trader Joe's Wine Bottle Succulent Gardens
Please pardon the interruption, but I have a breaking announcement, and I simply can't wait any longer. Trader Joe's just started selling wine bottle succulent gardens, and they're just as whimsical and adorable as you'd imagine. Each of the booze-themed planters features a different assortment of succulents nestled in a sliced, soil-filled wine bottle, thus combining two of my favorite things into one Instagram-worthy piece of windowsill decor.
From the looks of it, only a few Trader Joe's stores - specifically, ones in southern California and Nevada - have begun rolling out the $13 masterpieces for customers so far. But judging by the widespread popularity of Trader Joe's skull-shaped succulent planters and the general obsession with the low-maintenance houseplants, it's only a matter of time before they hit shelves at other locations.

Why I've Fallen Head Over Heels For a Hot Water Bottle, and I Don't Care Who Knows It
On a recent trip to London, I found myself feeling extra charmed by all things British and reveled in every lovely thing my darling British friend offered me while staying at her house. There were nightly tea and cookie offerings, a warmed-by-the-dryer "dressing robe" (aka a robe), and on my first night there, to my delight, she asked (please read with English accent), "Would you like me to put a hot water bottle in your bed?" "You mean like those rubber things from old-time British movies?" I asked in unrefined American fashion. It was during this first night's sleep with the fuzzy-covered water bottle that my life changed forever.
I got one almost as soon as I arrived home.
Being someone who is naturally cold most of the time, I dread the Winters - yes, even in Southern California - where our old, drafty house turns freezing during the nights, and I'm forced to turn to drastic measures to stay warm. This usually looks like going to sleep dressed like Rocky in full sweatsuit practice mode and layering blanket upon electric blanket to keep myself cocooned in warmth. And as much as I love my electric blanket, the reality is that it's just not the easiest to sleep with.
Enter the hot water bottle. For starters, I'm a fan of nightly wind-down routines, so my new favorite part of the day is realizing it's time to put on the hot water for my warm fur baby. I fill up the kettle, wait for the water to get super steamy, then fill my little love muffin three quarters of the way up, push out the excess air, and seal it right up. Within seconds, the bottle begins to warm the fur cover, and from that moment I can barely be apart from it for the rest of the night. Click through for all the reasons I'm thoroughly obsessed with this inanimate object.

If Losing Your Phone and Being Forced to Give Up Social Media Sounds Like a Horror Story, Read This
I didn't quit social media on purpose, though I've read plenty of stories about why taking a break might be a good idea. As a type-A person who is admittedly addicted to checking email and staying in the loop - not only when it comes to my friend circle but also with news related to my job as an editor - I brushed the idea aside. "I'll try deleting Instagram the next time I go on vacation," I lied to myself. The most tuned out I have ever been is on a recent trip to Disney World with my family, where I decided to give up clicking through every single Instagram Story at the top of my feed (like I usually do) mostly just to conserve battery life.

But when I lost my phone in the first East Coast snowstorm of the season, Instagram Stories quickly became a distant memory. There were blizzard-like conditions in Newark, NJ, and I was in an Uber trying to get to my boyfriend's office so we could drive to Atlantic City for the weekend. The hotel room was booked, dinner reservations were secured at one of the hardest Italian restaurants to get into, and I had my outfits picked out. It was a done deal! I had to get to him. When traffic came to a standstill and my Uber driver got us into a jam, he suggested I gather my things and get out and run to Joey, who was just a few blocks away in his own car.
I carefully tucked away my purse into my duffel bag and slipped my phone into my pocket, knowing I'd need it to contact Joey when I got close. As I hopped out of the car, my phone must have fallen in the snow, and I didn't realize it was gone until I heard someone shouting my name from across the street. In that moment, as I was soaking wet from the storm and coming to the realization that I had been sprinting through a dangerous area with no tracking device, all I cared about was getting to Joey. Screw the phone.

Once I was in Joey's truck, we used Find My Friends to track my phone and found that someone had picked it up already. A few unanswered calls confirmed I was not getting it back. Knowing the type of person I am, and the fact that I stared at my screen more than I did him during the first few months of our relationship, Joey was probably shocked at how little I panicked. The weather was so bad, and we felt so overwhelmed and angry at our poor luck, that we tried to turn the car home and skip our mini vacation. But the only way traffic was moving was south, and it would take hours to travel north toward our apartment. We decided to head down the shore and make the best of our long weekend. The anticipation of four days without social media set in with every mile.
What I didn't anticipate was how positive the experience would be; seriously, I ended up enjoying one of the best days of my life. Here are all the things that changed for the better in my case and the one thing I decided about my future relationship with my phone.
This “Text” Exchange Between a Cat and Its Human Is Literally How I Imagine My Cats Would Talk to Me
My two cats have approximately 4,000 toys between them. About 15 are toys my boyfriend and I bought them at the pet store - jingly balls and furry mice - and the other 3,985 are various pieces of trash, such as shag carpet strands, plastic clothes tags, and empty Amazon Prime boxes. I'll give you one wild guess whether they prefer the toys or the trash.
And it appears as though we're not the only cat owners who have found this fact to be true. In a pretend text conversation between a human and its cat looking for its "#1 joy in life" (a blue string), the human tries as best as they can to understand why their cat is so distraught over losing a piece of string (that may or may not have been thrown away) when it has plenty of other toys.
Their conversation is so damn relatable, you'll actually laugh howl out loud.

This 1 Simple Trick Will Revolutionize How You Achieve Your Goals in 2019
I am a big dreamer with lofty goals. I often don't reveal them to people for fear of being judged, so instead I say them to myself (sometimes out loud) or write them down. But the thing is, I usually write out my dreams and goals similarly to how I write out my to do list: clean the fridge, fold the laundry, write the next Great American Novel, own a yacht.
For me, writing them down is equivalent to starting a vision board: if I see it on paper, I'm reminded of what I want and what I'm working toward. For example, at the start of 2018, I wrote down that I wanted to work at POPSUGAR (seriously!). In March of that year, I got hired. But there were other goals I set out for that year that just didn't happen: start a budget (whoops), read 30 books (so close!), work my way back up to running five miles (I blame that one on my unfortunate treadmill accident). Even though I start out each year fresh and with a new crop of goals and resolutions for the year, they rarely stick.

But when I was listening to motivational speaker and New York Times bestselling author Rachel Hollis discuss a new way of goal-setting on her podcast "Rise," I was inspired. Why was it that I would jot down all my goals and dreams but never see them through?
Rachel said for years she started each day this way: she would write down the dreams for her life as if they had already happened. So instead of writing "I want to save $5,000," you would write "I saved $5,000." Rachel even turned this practice into her own line of Start Today Journals, which are unfortunately sold out but will be reissued in the Spring of 2019. But Rachel said you don't need these specific journals to start the practice: you can use any notebook, scrap of paper, or even a Post-It. To hear more about how this process works, listen to her podcast episode here (and subscribe to the podcast on Apple Podcasts or wherever else you get your podcasts, because every week it's packed with motivational gems).
I bought a Start Today journal and have been writing out my goals as if they have already happened. I didn't want to wait until the start of 2019 to do it this way. Although I still have a ways to go to work toward my goals, using this method has solidified in my mind that I am capable of achieving them. I look forward to looking back in a few months or a few years and seeing everything that came true.
As for what my goals and dreams are? I'm still keeping them to myself. I don't want to jinx it - and I want to look back after I accomplished them to prove to people I had it in me all along.
The Hottest Workout of 2019 Is Coming to a Living Room Near You
Looking ahead to 2019, we think we already know exactly how everyone's going to be working out. While gyms and boutique studios will certainly still have their place, we predict the hottest workout next year will be the one in your living room.
Sure, on-demand, at-home, and live-stream workouts aren't exactly new, but they're about to be bigger, better, and more en vogue than ever thanks to a number of factors. For starters, millennials - the largest, most fitness-obsessed generation - are becoming parents by the million each year, meaning their schedules are going to get a lot busier (read: way less free time for workouts).
Aside from the megainfluence millennials have on cultural trends (particularly when it comes to fitness), we expect that the money being funneled into this new sector of the fitness industry will help to better serve smaller markets that major, trendy fitness chains have overlooked. With on-demand, in-home workouts, you don't have to wait for an Equinox or SoulCycle to open up in your town - you get access to elite trainers digitally, from the comfort of your living room. Here are 12 you'll want to choose from in 2019.

The Benefits of Drinking Matcha (Spoiler: It Gives You Energy Without the Crash)
If you're one of those people who needs three cups of coffee or more to get through your day, you may want to consider making the switch to matcha. Although the beautifully green beverage has only made its way to American cafe menus in recent years, matcha has been a staple of Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries. In addition to having a full-bodied, grassy flavor, this fine powder contains a higher amount of caffeine and antioxidants than green tea. One teaspoon is all that's required to prepare a cup. But the benefits don't stop there - matcha is packed with antioxidants and offers a steadier caffeine fix than coffee does. Let us break it down for you.
1. Matcha is high in antioxidants.
Matcha, like green tea is high in catechins, an antioxidant believed to have cancer-fighting properties. On top of being grown, harvested, and processed differently than regular green tea, matcha is far more concentrated than loose leaf tea, allowing you to enjoy its nutrients in their entirety. Since matcha is ground to a powder, more antioxidants are available with each sip; one estimate claims that matcha offers 137 times the catechins that are in green tea.
2. You won't crash from drinking matcha.
Matcha contains the amino acid L-theanine (known to reduce anxiety and high blood pressure), which combats the jittery side effects of caffeine while still allowing matcha to provide a stable and longer-lasting focus without the crash some associate with coffee.
3. It may aid in weight loss.
Green tea contains the powerful antioxidant EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which has been shown to promote weight loss and boost metabolism. A small study has also suggested that matcha's EGCG may boost the ability to burn a bit more fat during exercise. Although more research on human subjects is needed, matcha tea provides a rich, subtly sweet flavor without the addition of sugar or cream. Plus, it contains very few calories, making it a healthy option overall.
The quality of your matcha can make all the difference - especially when it comes to taste. The best tasting varieties are typically ceremony grade (creamy and sweet), while kitchen grade is at the lower end of the spectrum.

A Celebrity Trainer Says to Do This If You Want to Crush Your Fitness Goals in the New Year
If you're ready to crush your fitness goals in the New Year, Gunnar Peterson, NASM-certified trainer, CSCS, MitoQ partner, wants you to "start slow" and "build up to it" to accomplish your goals.
"Where most people fall off is that they try to do too much right out of the gate," Gunnar said. This typically leads to frustration and giving up, he explained. Instead, Gunnar recommends gradually building up to a large goal to prevent losing motivation and feeling stressed. If you're beginning to work with a trainer, Gunnar said to book a few sessions initially and add on instead of booking too many sessions and feeling bad about needing to cancel them for various reasons.
This advice can be applied to any fitness goal you may have. If you want to run a marathon, don't plan to run 20 miles in your first week of training. Start smaller with a 20-minute run, then do a few miles, and work your way up to a 20-mile week.
Whatever your goals may be, Gunnar said to get more sleep to aid in recovery, hydrate, and take a quality multivitamin like MitoQ or another brand of your choice. Now, it's time to crush your 2019 goals.
Here's How Often You Should Do Cardio, Based on Your Goals and Fitness Level
Whether you're just starting to work out or you're already pretty fit, one thing is certain: cardiovascular exercise has a place in every fitness regimen. But just how often should you get your heart pumping?
"The American College of Sports Medicine recommends a minimum of 150 minutes a week of aerobic exercise for healthy adults, which can translate to 30 to 60 minutes of moderate exercise five days a week, or 20 to 60 minutes of vigorous exercise three days a week," Victoria Nolan, an ACSM-certified personal trainer at Suite Time Fitness in Houston, told POPSUGAR.
"However, if you are new to exercise, these are numbers that you need to build up to," she explained. "If you go from no, or very minimal, cardio exercise to 45-minute sessions five days a week, you run the risk of injuring yourself or, more likely, burning out after a week or so."
Even once you've built your endurance, cardio needs aren't so cut and dried. Beyond the minimum requirements to maintain a healthy lifestyle, many fitness experts agree that how much cardio you need can vary depending on your individual fitness goals and your timeline for achieving them.
"If you're looking to achieve weight or fat loss, I would recommend an element or two of cardio during each gym session to help increase the number of calories burned during that workout and a frequency of three to four times a week, based on recovery and experience level," said trainer James Shapiro, MS, PES, CES, owner of Primal Power Fitness in New York City. "If your goal is to build lean muscle, you can incorporate high-intensity interval training and still build muscle with cardio. This kind of cardio should be performed two to three times a week based on recovery rate."
Remember that you don't have to train for a marathon or suffer through a class you don't like to achieve the recommended standards for exercise. From Zumba sessions to indoor cycling, or even simply walking, there are plenty of cardio options available for people of all fitness levels.
According to Experts, This Is the Most Effective Way For Women to Lose Belly Fat
When it comes to burning body fat, a lot of women have the same target area: the belly. Much to the chagrin of many of us, belly fat is notoriously stubborn, and it's important to note that you can't spot reduce fat. In other words, simply being diligent about crunches isn't going to help you achieve your goal.
"Just as you can not influence where your body stores dreaded excess fat when it packs it on, you can't control where your metabolism opts to pull from when it taps into fat stores, which incidentally tends not to be from the region we gain it in the first place," Corey Phelps, founder and CEO of Cultivate by Corey and creator of the Cultivate365 program, told POPSUGAR.
That's not to say that we're powerless to reduce belly fat. A combination of diet and exercise can help us achieve this goal in a healthy manner. What types of diet and exercise, you ask? Here's what experts have to say about the nutrition and workout aspects of losing belly fat - and keeping it off.

Beachbody Dietitian Says to Eat These 2 Foods at Every Meal to Control Hunger and Lose Weight
Do you ever notice that after eating a big meal, you feel starving soon after? It can actually have a lot to do with what foods you eat. We asked registered dietitian and co-creator of Beachbody's 2B Mindset nutrition program, Ilana Muhlstein, MS, RDN, to share the best foods to eat that will make you feel less hungry.
Turns out, Mom was right: vegetables are key. "They are high in volume and weight, and fill up our stomachs, which helps us register the feeling of fullness," Ilana said. When you're hungry and sit down to eat a meal, get at least five to six bites of veggies in first. Some great choices are minestrone soup, cauliflower fried rice, baby carrots and guacamole, or roasted broccoli. It doesn't matter how it was prepared, but Ilana said that vegetables are the food group you want to be filling up on most often.
Another must for curbing hunger and helping you stay fuller longer is protein. "If you just have an apple or oatmeal for breakfast, you may feel hungry just an hour or two later. You may feel the same if you only have pasta for dinner," Ilana said. Carbs are great for giving you energy, but they won't curb your hunger the way protein does. So, have some eggs or a protein shake with your oatmeal, and add some beans or meatballs to your tomato sauce if you're having spaghetti.
Incorporating both veggies and protein into every meal and snack is a great way to keep hunger at bay. Try this for every meal for five days and see how you feel. You'll be amazed how changing what you eat, not how much, can affect your level of satiety, which can prevent cravings and mindless noshing.
This Is What You Should Be Eating at Each Meal to Lose Weight, According to an RD
A big part of eating well to lose weight is planning out your meals. Once you have an idea of what you will be eating at each meal, it's much easier to stay on track and resist temptation that will veer you off your healthy eating goals.
But if planning out each meal in advance sounds overwhelming, don't stress: registered dietitian Bari Stricoff told POPSUGAR what you should be eating at every meal to keep you blood sugar stable and help you lose weight. It's a simple formula, and you can use it to mix and match your favorite foods for a complete meal.
"When it comes to blood sugar regulation, the quality of meals compared to the number of meals is more important," she said. "Ensuring your meals have high-quality protein plus whole grain carbohydrates [and] healthy fats will have positive effects on blood sugar."
So if you're craving avocado toast, make sure it's on 100 percent whole wheat bread and paired with an egg or smoked salmon for some protein. Instead of just a piece of fruit for a snack, eat it with a handful of nuts for a boost of protein and fat.
She also said fiber, which is found in whole grain carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables, is important to help slow the release of sugar in the blood. If you combine the fiber with protein and fats, it also helps delay the release of sugar in the blood. When your blood sugar is regulated, you are less likely to store fat. Plus, you will feel satiated and won't be tempted to snack between meals.
Of course, eating in a calorie deficit is key to losing weight. But whether you eat five small meals a day or three larger meals a day, as long as they contain high-quality protein, whole grain carbohydrates or another fiber-rich food, and healthy fats, your blood sugar will be stable. This will keep you on track and help keep your weight down.

The Gross Reason You Might Want to Reconsider Using a Sheet Mask During a Flight
Using sheet masks on long-haul flights has become common beauty practice for those dedicated to their hydration game. But what if we were to tell you the not-so-good news that this might not actually be as effective as you'd hoped? It's due to one thing: hygiene. Dr. Tatiana Lapa, medical doctor and managing director of Dr. Tatiana Aesthetic Clinics, explains to us why sheet masks may be unhygienic on board and how to maintain moisture without the breakouts.
But before delving into the topic of hygiene, let's discuss the basics. Why does the skin get so sucked of moisture when flying? "During a long-haul flight, the air pressure is lower than at normal sea level. In fact, it is equivalent to being 2,500 meters above sea level. The significantly lower air pressure acts like a vacuum on the skin and sucks moisture out of your epidermis (the top layer of skin)." But it's not only dehydration the skin is at risk of. "Add to this the germ-rich cabin environment of recirculated air and tightly packed passengers, and the skin is at higher risk of both dehydration and breakouts," Dr. Lapa explains.
Now for the actual sheet mask part. Dr. Lapa says that using one does actually have benefits when it comes to keeping the skin hydrated; however, you must consider germs before and during application. She suggests cleaning hands before use (a no-brainer, but a biggie) and only keeping the mask on for 20-30 minutes. Using unwashed hands or leaving the mask on for too long can lead to potentially worsening breakouts as "the moist, nutrient-rich environment of sheet masks can assist the spread of bacteria on the skin."
So what if you want both moisture and to reduce a breakout? Dr. Lapa recommends applying a seal with a blemish cream to any pimples before applying a sheet mask. Or if you've decided that wearing a sheet mask on board just isn't your bag, she recommends keeping a soothing recovery cream in your beauty travel essentials instead.

The Brilliant Makeup Trick Meghan Markle Always Does but No One Has Noticed
As we've watched her transition from TV actress to member of the royal family, one thing's become very clear: Meghan Markle has plenty of beauty tricks up her sleeve. Some she's borrowed from Princess Diana and Kate Middleton, and some she's established herself.
The Duchess of Sussex is known for her signature messy bun and a good dose of bronzer, but she also has a lip liner trick that you've probably never even noticed. Overlining the lips is nothing new, and the technique often gets a bad rap (thank you, the '90s), but recently the trick has been used in a far less obvious way, to make lips appear fuller without adding color. Markle has been doing this so subtly that it's barely noticeable, which makes all the difference in maintaining a natural finish. We asked celebrity makeup artist Nikki Wolff to share how to make lips look naturally fuller using liner at home, so keep reading to get all her top tips, and see all the photos of Markle making it look easy.
