Game of Thrones: Why Tyrion Is Destined to Betray Daenerys in Season 8

If the fans are right, then the Hand of the Queen may be harboring a secret that could lead to Daenerys's downfall in Game of Thrones season eight. Throughout season seven, Daenerys and Tyrion's once-strong partnership seems to deteriorate by the episode, thanks in part to the presence of Jon Snow. From the moment he arrives on the scene, the Dragon Queen stops listening to her Hand and begins paying attention to her heart. Perhaps the most startling moment for Tyrion is when she burns the Tarlys alive for not bending the knee to her. One thing is certain: by the end of the season, he seems to be a bit disillusioned with Daenerys, and one scene in particular has some fans convinced he's going to betray his queen . . . if he hasn't already.

Ranker writer Stephan Roget makes a compelling argument that the missing dialogue between Cersei telling Tyrion she's pregnant and her decision to, at least publicly, declare her support for the North suggests that her little brother is conspiring with her against Daenerys. Now, there's no love between Tyrion and his sister, which makes the idea that he's working with her in any capacity suspect. However, his love for Myrcella and Tommen is a known fact. He's also harboring some guilt over sending Myrcella away, an act that ultimately leads to her death. Knowing that his sister is expecting may be enough for him to strike a deal with her if he believes it would protect her unborn child.

Reddit user Ikkbinz believes Tyrion convinces Cersei to say she'll send her forces to the North in order to pacify Jon and Daenerys. They even suggest he may have offered to make sure Cersei's unborn child is declared the heir after Daenerys's reign because the Dragon Queen (supposedly) cannot conceive. Why would Tyrion want Jon and the Mother of Dragons to believe they'll have the help of the Southern Army when no help is coming though? The short answer is Jaime.

For all of his talk, Tyrion does have a sense of loyalty to the Lannisters. However, it's nothing compared to his loyalty to the realm. In this moment in time, nothing matters more than defeating the Night King. As a strategic thinker, the youngest Lannister son knows that Daenerys and Jon need to focus on the threat in the North, and if Cersei straight-up denies her support in the war, then they'll be waging a war on two fronts. That's not ideal when an army of the undead is marching on Westeros. Furthermore, Tyrion knows Jaime will keep his word and ride North, even if Cersei believes her twin will stay by her side. Tyrion may believe that Jaime will be able to convince at least some soldiers to join him, but even if he doesn't, having a man with the level of military experience that Jaime has on their side could be vital in defeating the Night King.

In this way, Tyrion accomplishes three things: Jon and Daenerys keep their focus on the White Walkers, Jaime joins the fight in the North, and Cersei's unborn child is potentially protected for now. He may be hoping he can keep the current Queen of Westeros safe long enough for her to give birth so that his niece or nephew has a chance to live. This would also fulfill a prophecy surrounding Daenerys from the books. In the House of the Undying, she's told, "Three treasons will you know . . . once for blood and once for gold and once for love." Tyrion's betrayal would be the one for love - of his family and the realm.

Given how tense things currently are between Tyrion and Daenerys, it's unclear whether he will continue to support her after the Night King is defeated. For now, though, the simple act of knowing Cersei is lying could be seen as a major betrayal because it could lead to disaster in the North if they don't have enough soldiers to hold back the Army of the Dead. Ultimately, Tyrion's decision may feel like the best solution for all involved, but his queen won't see it that way. If she learns that Tyrion made any move behind her back, then their alliance will be left in tatters. In turn, this could lead to a final battle between the Lannisters and Daenerys that no one saw coming, all because the Hand of the Queen couldn't turn his back on his sister and brother's unborn child.

In Fitness and in Health - Gear to Power Your Goals For 2019

January is the month of resets, do-overs, and fresh starts. And all those are better with new gear! Here are our picks to keep the start of your new year fresh and fun.

I Found a New Go-To Winter Outfit That Isn't Jeans and a Sweater

As a fashion girl, even I'll admit that dressing in the Winter can feel uninspired. Now that it gets dark at 4:30 p.m. (why?!) and the temperature's dropped, it is so tempting to throw on your favorite jeans and a cool sweater and call it a day. But, Winter is a long season, and as someone who likes to mix up their looks and really have fun with fashion, I'm always looking for comfortable, chic outfits that don't feel like a chore. Plus, they have to look good with a thicker boot, because weather. And, just when I thought I'd given up, I found this POPSUGAR collection at Kohl's Mixed-Print Mini Dress ($38, originally $64), and it's revived my Winter wardrobe.

First of all, how cute is this dress? The polka dots and shooting stars go together so seamlessly, and it's a great way for a minimalist like myself to experiment with prints. The long sleeves are definitely seasonally appropriate, and the elastic waist means it's both flattering and comfortable. Plus, it looks so cute with tights and boots, so you'll stay warm! I've worn mine to the office, out to dinner, and on the weekend to brunch with friends. It's the perfect day to night pick, and has actually made me excited to get dressed in the morning.

The Mister Rogers Biopic Starring Tom Hanks Now Has the Perfect Title

Can you imagine a better actor to play Fred Rogers than Tom Hanks? The two-time Oscar winner and Certified Nice Guy™ is set to portray the iconic Mister Rogers in an upcoming biopic, which now officially has the perfect title: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Although Hanks' casting was announced all the way back in January 2018, the name of the film and the exact plot had yet to be revealed. Fortunately, along with the title, Sony has also shared a rough description of the story and the actors who will be bringing Rogers and all his special friends to life on the big screen.

The film is being described as "a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism," and will be based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. The "jaded magazine writer" - played by Emmy award-winning star of The Americans Matthew Rhys - finds himself assigned to profile Rogers, the least jaded human being of all time. As Junod gets closer to the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood star, his skepticism begins to thaw and he learns important lessons about empathy, kindness, and decency from "America's most beloved neighbor."

Yep, I'm already weeping into my cardigan.

The film will be directed by Marielle Heller, and is directly inspired by Junod's real-life article "Can You Say. . . Hero?" While speaking to Variety in January 2018, Heller said that Rogers' persevering kindness has been a personal inspiration to her, and she thinks the film is much needed considering the current social climate: "This is the perfect alchemy of talent coming together at the perfect time to remind us all of the transformative power of kindness and respect to heal and to unite."

Joining Hanks and Rhys is This Is Us alum Susan Kelechi Watson and 11.22.63's Chris Cooper. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will hit theaters on Oct. 18th, 2019, so make sure you start stocking up on tissues now.

If You Hate Running but Still Want to Lose Weight, We Have Some Good News

If you've read anything about losing weight over the past few decades (and odds are, if you're reading this article, you have), then you've probably come across the conventional wisdom that cardio is necessary for burning calories and revving up your weight loss. One of the most popular forms of cardio is running; the treadmills at the gym are always packed, boutique fitness classes such as Orangetheory Fitness and Barry's Bootcamp have popularized running intervals, and half-marathons are more popular than ever.

But as much as running has been hyped for weight loss, it's certainly not the only activity you need to do to shed fat and get in shape. "Effective weight loss involves both cardio and resistance training," registered dietitian and ACSM-certified personal trainer Jim White, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, told POPSUGAR.

How to Exercise For Weight Loss

So while running is a great form of cardio, it's not the only type of cardio activity that will help you meet your goals. "Cardio would be the activities that get your heart rate up, such as walking, swimming, biking, elliptical, and jumping rope," Jim said. So as long as an activity gets your heart rate up, ideally 50 to 85 percent of your max heart rate, which is 220 bpm, it counts as a good cardio workout.

But it's not just cardio that will help you lose weight; strength training is important, too. Jim explained that resistance training is bodyweight training, lifting weights, using weight machines, or moves you would do in a fitness class, like squats. "Resistance training builds endurance and muscle," he explained. "Since muscle is the engine that burns calories when you are resting, your body can still continue to burn calories for hours after strength training."

Cardio helps you burn calories and create a calorie deficit, but it's more of a short-term activity. Strength training is more like an investment: as you burn calories during exercise, you also continue to burn more calories at rest. Armen T. Ghazarians, ACSM-certified personal trainer and CEO of Finish Fit, recommends strength training three to five times a week for weight loss, ideally at a high intensity. He added that building muscle will help you burn body fat.

How to Eat For Weight Loss

So great, you don't need to run to lose weight. But exercise is just part of the equation; weight loss requires that you eat in a calorie deficit. To find out how many calories you should eat a day to lose weight, use this formula. Jim said that while cardio may put you in a calorie deficit, it's more of a short-term solution, since strength training will help you build muscle and burn more calories at rest.

In general, your diet should also be dialed in. Scarlet Full, RDN, Director of Nutrition and Research at Axiom Foods, said that you should eat mostly whole foods and limit processed packaged foods. And while you should limit junk food, you don't need to cut it out entirely (everything in moderation!) - just make sure your diet is mostly a lot of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes. She also added that protein is important for weight loss because it will keeping you feeling full and satisfied. Plus, with strength training and working out, eating protein will help you build the lean muscle to burn more calories at rest. To find out exactly how much protein you should be eating to meet your goals, use this equation.

Gwyneth Paltrow Is Rocking the Hell Out of This White Bikini, and I'll Have What She's Having

When it comes to Instagram, Gwyneth Paltrow tends to keep things pretty PG. Scattered among posts about her lifestyle brand, Goop, are photos of food, friends, family, and scenery, much like the rest of us. So when the actress changed things up and posted a rare bikinigram, we practically stopped dead in our tracks to make sure we weren't imagining things.

Just a few days after Christmas, the 46-year-old star shared a photo of herself walking along the shores of an undisclosed beach in a teeny-tiny white bikini. Her two-piece featured a triangle top and matching bottoms, showing off her chiseled abs in all their glory. Sure, it was a simple swimsuit choice, but the color spoke volumes. Did Gwyneth reach for a white suit because she's still basking in her newlywed bliss? We certainly think so!

Ahead, you can shop similar white two-pieces, whether you just tied the knot too or simply need an alternative to your overworn black bikini.

I Haven't Worn a Real Bra in 4 Months - and I'm Never Going Back

I don't have big boobs in the slightest, but I have the world's widest rib cage, so bra shopping has never, ever been fun (not that it sounds very fun if you're well-endowed either, but I digress). Since my first training bra was purchased around the time I turned 12, I've hated wearing a bra at all. Like most women, I spend my days at work dreaming of that glorious moment I can strip down at home and fling my underwire death-trap across the room like a slingshot, allowing my girls to roam freely for the rest of the night. I thought I was destined to waste my existence wishing it were the end of the day, until I found Calvin Klein's cotton bralettes.

Now, I'm not living under a rock - I know there are a million other types of bralettes that have come before and several million that will come still, whether they be coated in a layer of thin lace or made of sweat-wicking material to keep my ladies cool in the Summer. But these Calvin Klein Modern Cotton Racerback Bralettes ($21, pictured above) are my holy grail, and I vow in front of all these witnesses to love them forever.

It all started with an Instagram photo (as most revelations these days do). I spotted my little cousin wearing one of these simple bras as a top (to go to the club, because she's young and hip and not the ripe mental age of 97, like myself). She looked so comfy, so I immediately texted her to ask where she got it while also subtly begging her to just pass hers on to me. She told me she got the bra at Urban Outfitters, so I visited its Instagram page, and wouldn't you know it, these bras were featured in two or three of its 10 most recent photos. I took that as a sign of a trend, urged myself to get out of bed early on a Saturday morning (OK, it was like, 11 a.m.), and drove straight to the store, where I purchased a CK bralette in black, to match my soul.

It was deep love at first wear (and it's been an ever-growing whirlwind affair since - so much so that I'm positive my boyfriend knows I love these bras more than I do him). I immediately snapped the above photo after prancing around my apartment and posted it to Instagram, sharing my pure ecstasy over this new bra with my followers. I felt so good - a mixture between being held in just enough but also so free - that I could probably write something worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize about my new favorite clothing item.

Although we're still firmly in the honeymoon phase, it's been about four months since I bought my first one (time flies when your boobs are free). The OG bra has since been joined by two others (a white and a gray, because neutrals fo' lyfe), and I wear one every. single. day. (In this four-month span, I was forced to wear a strapless bra once because of the back of the dress I wanted to sport on Mother's Day, and as soon as I clipped myself into the Devil's harness, I wanted to cry)

If, like me, you find the best part of your day to be swinging your bra over your head like a lasso after several long hours of confinement, live not like a prisoner any longer. Join me in this place of pure bliss, won't you?

A Celebrity Trainer Says to Do This If You Want to Crush Your Fitness Goals in the New Year

If you're ready to crush your fitness goals in the New Year, Gunnar Peterson, NASM-certified trainer, CSCS, MitoQ partner, wants you to "start slow" and "build up to it" to accomplish your goals.

"Where most people fall off is that they try to do too much right out of the gate," Gunnar said. This typically leads to frustration and giving up, he explained. Instead, Gunnar recommends gradually building up to a large goal to prevent losing motivation and feeling stressed. If you're beginning to work with a trainer, Gunnar said to book a few sessions initially and add on instead of booking too many sessions and feeling bad about needing to cancel them for various reasons.

This advice can be applied to any fitness goal you may have. If you want to run a marathon, don't plan to run 20 miles in your first week of training. Start smaller with a 20-minute run, then do a few miles, and work your way up to a 20-mile week.

Whatever your goals may be, Gunnar said to get more sleep to aid in recovery, hydrate, and take a quality multivitamin like MitoQ or another brand of your choice. Now, it's time to crush your 2019 goals.

Yes, You Can Lose Up to 15 Pounds in 2 Months (and Keep It Off) - Here's How

When people are looking to lose weight, they typically want whatever will get them results as fast as possible. In reality, there is no such thing as a quick fix for weight loss. Juice cleanses, strict low-calorie diets, and "detoxes" deliver more hype than actual results. Sure, the scale may go down as you lose water weight, but it will just come back up (and then some) once you eat full meals again.

If you're looking to really lose weight - as in: lose fat, change your measurements, and go down a dress size - then you need to be strategic to get results. You can definitely lose weight and see results within two months as long as you follow these steps. We spoke to registered dietitian and personal trainer Jim White, RDN, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, who outlined these six ways to lose weight and see results within just eight weeks. And not just that, but keep it off for good.

The time will pass whether you make a change or not. So you might as well take the necessary steps towards your goal and really see results!

An Expert Explains How to Exercise For Long-Term Weight Loss, and It Makes So Much Sense

You know losing weight is a concentrated effort and a lifestyle change: you have to eat healthier and in a calorie deficit, exercise, get plenty of sleep, and reduce stress. But even if you do all of the above, you still may be confused as to what type of exercise you should be doing. Isn't cardio supposed to rev up calorie burn and torch fat? But wait - doesn't strength training also build lean muscle and burn calories at rest? Which one is best?

According to personal trainer and registered dietitian Jim White, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, it's important to incorporate both cardio and strength training if you want to lose weight and keep it off for good. And while you probably knew this already, the way he explains it totally changed the way we thought about working out for long-term weight loss.

"The reason for needing both cardio and resistance training in your exercise routine is the way your body burns calories long-term," he told POPSUGAR. "Running is like a debit account (you would create a calorie deficit, but that deficit is a one-time transaction), whereas resistance training is like getting a payout from an investment account (the calories you burn during your exercise continue even after your workout ends)."

So while cardio burns calories as you do it, resistance training (such as lifting weights, bodyweight moves, or using resistance bands) helps build lean muscle in your body, which will burn more calories at rest.

For weight loss, Jim recommends 300 minutes (five hours) of cardio a week. That doesn't have to be intense cycling classes or running laps; it can be as simple as walking more or shoveling snow - anything that gets your heart rate up. You should aim to strength train at least two days a week. Looking for a good place to start? Here are our best cardio workouts and some strength-training exercises to get you on track.

Netflix's Upcoming Series About Selena Quintanilla Has Our Hearts Going "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom"

The queen of Tejano music is making her way to Netflix!

The streaming giant has teamed up with the family of Selena Quintanilla to create a series that tells the life story of the music legend. According to the official description, Selena: The Series will be a "coming of age story following Selena as her dreams come true and all the heart-wrenching and life-changing choices she and her family have to make as they navigate success, family, and music." The Quintanilla family have been involved in the project from the get-go and will serve as the series's executive producers.

"Selena will always have a lasting place in music history and we feel great responsibility to do justice to her memory. With this series, viewers will finally get the full history of Selena, our family, and the impact she has had on all of our lives," Selena's sister, Suzette Quintanilla, said in a statement. "We are excited to partner with Campanario and Netflix to give fans a never-before-seen glimpse at our story and highlight why Selena will remain a legend for generations to come."

Moisés Zamora, known for his work on Star and American Crime, has been tapped to pen the script and executive produce alongside the Quintanilla family and Campanario Entertainment President Jaime Davila. "Selena and the entire Quintanilla family are an inspiration to many and especially to me, a millennial of the same heritage," Davila said. "[Selena's] achievements are legendary, but our scripted series will focus on the incredible story of a Mexican-American family and how an extraordinary young woman transcended categories and borders to become a global star."

Netflix shared the news on the series's official Twitter page, with a brief teaser that calls out one of Selena's biggest singles, "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom." There's been no cast announcements (though we all know Jennifer Lopez still has the chops for the role) or ideas on a premiere date, but the excitement for the series is palatable.

Quintanilla, who was the first female Tejano artist to win a Grammy in 1994 for best Mexican/American album, sold over 60 million albums worldwide before she died in March 1995. Her fan base and legacy have thrived in the past two decades, with countless tributes in her name, the iconic Lopez-led biopic Selena from 1997, the MAC collection released in October 2016, her Madame Tussauds wax figure reveal in 2017, and her star ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in late 2017. Obviously this is another win for Selena fans, and we cannot wait to see what this Netflix series will bring!

Jude Law Is Supposedly Playing Mar-Vell in Captain Marvel - Here's Why He's So Important

With Marvel's latest edition of the Captain Marvel trailer, there are a lot of questions about the people associated with Carol Danvers and her group of "noble warrior heroes." The new footage gives small glimpses of the other Kree members who make up Danvers' task force, but the one who has everyone's interest particularly piqued is the original Captain Marvel, known as Mar-Vell.

In the comics, Mar-Vell is a captain in the Kree Space Fleet (the Starforce in the film) who is known for his numerous victories against the Skrull for the Kree Empire. He is sent to observe Earth along with his commanding officer, Colonel Yon-Rogg, and adopts the identity of recently deceased scientist Dr. Walter Lawson. While on Earth, Mar-Vell keeps an eye on Earth's progress toward developing means of space travel and meets Carol Danvers, a NASA security officer. The two grow close over time, becoming friends and even developing feelings of love. Yon-Rogg, jealous of Mar-Vell's other relationship with a Kree nurse named Una, decides to kill the Captain by activating a Kree Sentry to attack him. Mar-Vell defeats the Sentry and saves the people on Earth, who begin calling him Captain Marvel.

Fast-forward in time and Mar-Vell is saving Earthlings much more frequently. His affection for humans has grown so much that he's deliberately sabotaging orders from Yon-Rogg and other higher-ups that could harm the people of Earth. When his disobedience is discovered, he's accused of treason against the Kree Empire and sentenced to death. He escapes the firing squad and winds up combating the efforts to overthrow the Kree government by Ronan the Accuser and Commander Zarek.

It's during his many attempts to subdue Ronan and Zarek that Yon-Rogg kidnaps Danvers to provoke Mar-Vell. Their subsequent battle causes the explosion of a Kree device known as the Psyche-Magnitron, which rewrites the DNA of the captured Danvers and makes her a human-Kree hybrid. Yon-Rogg is killed in the explosion, Danvers joins Starforce as Ms. Marvel, and later becomes known as Captain Marvel.

We're not 100 percent sure how Mar-Vell's relationship with Danvers will be portrayed in Captain Marvel since it isn't the usual Marvel origin story. Instead of covering the events leading up to Danvers getting her abilities, we'll be meeting her well after - so we probably won't be exploring Mar-Vell's hand in that too thoroughly. Jude Law is supposedly portraying Mar-Vell in the film, and we've definitely seen him outfitted as a member of the Starforce, so that checks out! We're just excited to see where Law takes the character when Captain Marvel premieres on March 8, 2019.

Learn How to Lift Weights (and Build Muscle) With This 4-Week Beginner Workout Plan

Weightlifting is one of the best ways to build muscle and lower your body fat percentage. A 2006 review in the British Journal of Sports Medicine reported that weightlifting will also increase your bone mass, improve your cardiovascular levels, and enhance your sense of well-being.

If your goal is to learn how to lift weights, but you aren't exactly sure where to get started, I've got you covered. This four-week strength program will provide you with a strength foundation and teach you the basics.

Because everyone has different strength levels, here are general recommendations to determine the amount of weight you should lift. For upper-body exercises, I recommend starting with 7.5- to 10-pound dumbbells. If the weight is too light or too easy, feel free to make adjustments. For lower-body exercises with dumbbells, start with 10- to 15-pound dumbbells increasing or decreasing the weight as necessary. For barbell exercises, begin by adding 10 pounds to each side increasing or decreasing the weight as needed.

As always, make sure to warm up and cool down before and after your workout. Here's a dynamic warmup and a total-body stretch sequence to follow.

19 People Who Freaked the F*ck Out Over Black Mirror: Bandersnatch's Very First Question

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is here, and so is a hell of a lot of stress for audiences all over the world. Luckily, the interactive, "choose your own adventure"-style film is also giving fans a reason to laugh thanks to its seemingly silly (and surprisingly stressful) first question.

The Black Mirror film, which presumably takes place in the same universe as Netflix's bleak-as-f*ck sci-fi series, has been described as a "morally compromising adventure" that follows programmer Stefan in the '80s as he attempts to create a bestselling, text-based computer game inspired by a novel given to him as a child. The book was originally written by a deranged artist who murdered his wife, so you can expect things to get dark, as only Black Mirror can.

As Stefan descends deeper and deeper into the world of Bandersnatch, the young programmer starts to experiment with pills, which alter his perspective of reality in drastic, dangerous ways. But first he needs to decide which kind of cereal to eat in the morning, which is where you come in: Sugar Puffs or Frosties?

See how Black Mirror fans have been hilariously struggling with the question ahead!

The Secret to Making a Fitness Resolution You Can Stick to Is Actually Really Obvious

Chances are you've made losing weight or getting healthy your New Year's resolution - or part of it - at least one time in your life. And if you're like the majority of Americans, you start out strong on that goal, but by February, the steam is running out. You're not alone: 80 percent of Americans fail by February, and by March it's like, "What resolution?"

I've suffered that fate many times, but I still love the idea of making a New Year's resolution, and I'm determined to get it right in practice. That's why this year I'm focusing on making it for the long haul.

Typically, in the past, I have made a superficial resolution, like losing 10 pounds. To do that I've gone on sugar detoxes, smoothie cleanses, and Paleo diets to no avail. While I've had some short-term success, it has rarely carried over into a sustainable habit, and rarely have I reached my goal of 10 pounds. This year, though, will be different, because I've discovered the secret that I think will work for me.

Set the Bar Low

This year I'm not focusing on the quick fix to drop the extra holiday weight, but that's not to say I don't have high expectations for myself. Nutritionist Veronica Cardon agrees and advises that to be successful, start with short-term goals, spread out.

"Don't start with an overly ambitious goal such as 'I will lose 20 pounds in three months.' It's better to set up small-step objectives that make the milestones achievable and realistic, such as 'I will lose two pounds a month,'" Cardon says.

In order to achieve those goals, I'm starting by mapping out specific things I'll do each month. In January, I'm starting with giving up the creamer in my coffee and committing to making it to the gym three times a week.

Health coach Marcey Rader suggests mini habits throughout the year in order to create lasting habits that will help you achieve your resolution.

"In January, I'll increase my meditation by two minutes per day, and in February, I'll only get sugar in my coffee on weekends," Rader says. "In March, I'll stretch every day or do five Sun Salutations as an end to my workday and transition to personal time."

Rader also says this helps to keep us from feeling like we failed when we don't see immediate results or face a setback.

"It also helps to know it's only for a short time (30 days), which by then may have become a habit," Rader says. "If the habit doesn't work out, because maybe it's not as beneficial as we thought, we gave it the 30-day college try and can move on."

To keep yourself accountable, it's also a good idea to set reminders to stay on track. It's easy to get distracted and forget your goals, which is where you can use technology to your advantage. I'm starting by setting daily reminders for myself on my cell phone and planning my workout schedule ahead of time. I notice when I see the reminder, I'm more likely to feel compelled to stick to it. I'm also going to journal at the end of every week, tracking my progress (or lack thereof).

Here's to another year of setting resolutions . . . and this year, sticking to them!

Cozy Up to These Low-Carb Soups, and Say So Long to That Dreaded Winter Weight

Throw on your sweater, slip into your fuzziest pair of socks, and put a pot on the stove because it's officially soup season. There might be nothing cozier or more satisfying than a hearty bowl of soup, but if you're trying to cut back on carbs, you'll need to take some precautions. Even the smallest amount of sugar in the recipe - or, ahem, those tortilla strips on top - can sabotage your weight-loss efforts. That's why we've rounded up these foolproof, low-carb recipes. Whether you like your soup creamy, stuffed with veggies, or high in protein, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds.

5 Quick Morning Habits You Need to Start Now

Want to make the most out of your morning, no matter how late to work you are? These morning tricks will set you up for success. Altogether they'll just take up five minutes of your time, so you can add them into even the most hectic morning routine.

1. Don't snooze:

It's easier said than done, but trust us, this works. Forgoing the snooze button and getting up as soon as your alarm goes off will help you feel less tired.

How to do it: Set your alarm for the time you want to get up, not an earlier time just so you can hit snooze. Using a fitness tracker or smartphone app that tracks your sleep cycle can help rouse you out of slumber when you're not in your deepest sleep.

2. Stretch:

Feeling groggy? Try waking up your body with a few stretches that will also aid digestion and help you become more flexible (an important aspect of staying injury-free, no matter how active you are).

How to do it: The good news is that you can do these soothing, energizing stretches right in bed to ease you into your morning routine.

3. Be mindful:

Even the most meditation-averse among us can benefit from being present and more mindful. No need to spend five minutes trying to concentrate on thinking about nothing (although, if you want to, it works) - a pause to be in the moment, whatever that moment is, can help.

How to do it: Use this mindfulness guide to find different ways to be more present in your daily actions, sipping your morning coffee (or tea) to your commute.

4. Breathe:

A few deep breaths can go a long way to center your mind and increase your focus throughout the rest of the day.

How to do it: Use this breathing technique when you're lying in your bed before you get up.

5. Hydrate:

The first thing you should think about when you wake up is water. Overnight, your body loses hydration, so replenishing fluids helps wake up your body (and metabolism) while flushing out toxins.

How to do it:Drink an eight- or 16-ounce glass of cold water in the morning as soon as you get out of bed, or opt for a mug of hot water with lemon.

You Have to Really Love Sleep to Wear This Travel Pillow, and We'll Take 2, Please

Absurd or absurdly comfortable? That's a decision only you can make. The head-hugging design of the OstrichPillow Original Travel Pillow ($99) promises to wrap you like a cocoon, blocking out your surroundings so you can get some sleep and feel calm and rested for your next vacation. It's perfect for airplanes, trains, long car rides (as long as you're not driving), and any time you want to block out the loud person next to you. Essentially, this is just the pillow your life needs.

While the reviews of this kooky pillow are a bit mixed, there are some definite fans, and for a variety of reasons. "I travel frequently to visit my girlfriend and this works great to block out light and noise on my flight," one Amazon customer wrote. "Her dog is a little freaked out by my face when I wear it, so I like to spook her with it for free entertainment." There you have it, friends.

If you're like us, you'll try anything to feel more at ease on a flight, including wearing a pillow like it's any other fashion accessory. However, if the enclosure is just a bit too much for you to handle, you can always rest your head on it like a normal pillow, but where's the fun in that?

Scroll through to see just how cozy this pillow can be, whether you want to take a nap under your desk or hide yourself away from your weird ex-boyfriend - or, you know, finally sleep on a flight.

Netflix Rang in 2019 by (Finally!) Dropping the Premiere Date For Stranger Things Season 3

Proving that the Duffer Brothers know how to start the new year properly, Netflix rang in 2019 on Tuesday by giving fans what they've been waiting an eternity for: the premiere date for Stranger Things season three. According to an appropriately New Year's Eve-themed teaser, we can add binge-watching to our Fourth of July plans, since that's when the eight-episode third season will officially drop.

While the teaser did give us a fun look at Dick Clark's 1984 New Year's Rockin' Eve special, it didn't reveal any new footage from the upcoming season. It does include a secret coded message that reads, "When blue and yellow meet in the west," and we can briefly hear what sounds like Mike calling out for Eleven, but that just adds to the enigma that is season three. We speculated that the third season would premiere during the summer back when Stranger Things dropped an '80s-tastic teaser for the new season on July 16. The teaser introduced Starcourt Mall, the new shopping mall for the town of Hawkins, and a mysterious new character, Robin.

Considering it's been more than a year since the second season's October 2017 premiere, it's safe to say that fans are ready for the Summer of mystery season three promises to be. Especially since there are suspicions that the series will be ending sooner rather than later. Exactly what will this summer change for our young heroes? How will Steve juggle his new job at Starcourt Mall with babysitting and monster hunting? Will Hawkins ever be free of The Upside Down? Guess we'll have to wait until this summer to find out!

Taylor Swift's Hands-Free Bag Is Practically Perfect in Every Way For Winter

Taylor Swift was spotted on a rare outing in NYC with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, and the duo were bundled up for the brisk weather. Taylor and Joe held hands as they walked, which might not have been possible if Taylor was toting a purse. Luckily for Joe, she opted for a hands-free YSL belt bag that she strapped across her chest.
