Shay Mitchell Reveals She Suffered a Miscarriage in a Heartbreaking Post
Shay Mitchell is opening up about the highs and lows of last year. On Jan. 1, the Pretty Little Liars actress revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in 2018 as she reflected on the past year. "Although it was an amazing year it didn't come without hardships," she wrote on her Instagram Story. She then shared a photo of her sonogram alongside a broken heart emoji.
"We all have to deal with various struggles and challenges in life. And sometimes it's easier to only showcase the good times on social media, which is what leads many people to criticize it for its lack of authenticity," she continued. "Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and hugely uplifting. The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams," she continued. "In the spirit of the new year, I think that we need to remember that we are all on this journey together - in good times and in bad - and to remind ourselves that we seldom really know or understand the struggles and hardships that other people are going through."
She concluded her post by encouraging her followers to be more compassionate in the new year. "So, for 2019, let's all try to be a little more compassionate, empathetic, patient and thoughtful with each other," she added. "This sounds like a great resolution to me. I hope that you agree. Happy New Year everyone!"
All the New Netflix Shows For Kids That'll Help You Get a Minute of Peace in 2019
Netflix's 2019 show lineup for kids is packing a serious punch, y'all. Family movie nights are great and all, but since the dawn of the streaming service, there really is nothing like a Netflix series binge. For your kids, depending on their screen time rules and how busy their schedules are, they may not have as much time (or the attention span) to watch an entire series in one sitting (probably for the best), but the fact that their new and old favorite shows can be thrown on at the touch of a button is pretty amazing (they don't even know how good they have it not needing to read the TV Guide or watch the channel list on a loop because they missed what they were looking for three times in a row).
Ahead, see what Netflix is bringing to the kids' table in 2019 in terms of TV series and Netflix original series for kids (and bookmark this page so you can check out the service's new additions every month!).

If Mary Poppins Was a Supermodel Instead of a Nanny, She'd Wear Gigi Hadid's Outfit
Gigi Hadid attended Taylor Swift's New Year's Eve bash, where celebs like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds gathered to dress like their childhood heroes. In our opinion, it was the perfect theme that was rooted in nostalgia but also encouraged a positive forecast on 2019. While Taylor herself chose to dazzle in Ariel's mermaid tail, Gigi showed up to the party in a stylish Mary Poppins look.
Perhaps the supermodel was fueled by the hype of Mary Poppins Returns or just influenced by Emily Blunt's take on the character. But there's no denying that Gigi's outfit had a high-fashion kick. You see, Gigi's hourglass coat was by Balenciaga, and her high-neck ruffled blouse a piece from Lanvin. Gigi finished the ensemble with a Celine leather skirt, red gloves, and sheer polka-dot tights. Click through the shots from Taylor's memorable soirée ahead to see why we're calling Gigi best dressed of the night.

Outlander's New Episode Changes 4 Key Plot Points From the Book - Here's Why That's a Good Thing
Warning: spoilers for Outlander season four, below.
It's no secret that the Outlander show writers have had a formidable task in adapting Diana Gabaldon's lengthy books for television. As executive producer Maril Davis told POPSUGAR in a recent interview, "Diana's books are huge and there's no way to get ever nook and cranny from the books onto the show."
That being said, the latest episode, titled "The Birds and the Bees," felt even more sped up than most entries into the series. The 50-minute story manages to cover months of time, condensing and omitting key plot points from the book left and right. In case you need a refresher about how exactly it all goes down in the Gabaldon's novel - or if you've never read the books and are curious - here are the biggest differences in the adaptation and what they mean for the show.
The Aftermath of Brianna's Rape
In the book, days pass between Brianna (Sophie Skelton) consummating her marriage to Roger (Richard Rankin) and being raped by Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers), whereas on the show, less than an hour goes by between when Roger storms off and Brianna meets Bonnet. In fact, readers don't see the rape happening in real time; they hear about it later when Brianna recounts her trauma to Claire (Caitriona Balfe). All of this happens after she has met her father and traveled to Fraser's Ridge.
But it makes sense to change the order of things around, especially here. Seeing it onscreen - even if the rape actually happens mostly offscreen - gives Brianna's attack a greater impact than hearing about it later. Plus, it has always felt a little weird reading the book to think that sometime in the midst of handfasting with Roger and meeting Jamie, Brianna meets Bonnet and is raped. She goes about her business as if nothing has happened, and we only learn about the rape months later, which is quite jarring.
Fergus's Trial
Non-book readers may be surprised to learn that there's a whole side plot where Fergus (played by Cesar Domboy in the show) is on trial for attacking a redcoat who was trying to steal his horse. That's what brings Jamie (Sam Heughan) down from the ridge, to testify on Fergus's behalf - and it turns out it was actually Marsali (Lauren Lyle) who kicked the redcoat in the jaw when he tried to steal the horse. Brianna even attends the trial before heading back to the ridge.
This sort of thing definitely adds more intrigue to the agents of the Crown being out to get Jamie - they try to make him come to the trial to testify during harvest, thereby damaging the harvest because Claire can't possibly bring in all the crops herself - but it makes sense why it was cut. The show just doesn't have the same luxury Gabaldon has with her pacing.
"I think if you're a book fan, you're like - I want to see every single page in that book translated to the screen," Davis told us. "[But] we have 13 episodes, as opposed to Diana - she's said many times she has so much more time and luxury to spread these things out . . . The best we can do is lay out the story, lay out the major tent poles, lay out where we need to go and fit in as much as we can. That means, obviously, that a lot of story has to go. But at the end of the day, if we can stay true to the spirit of the book and the spine of the book, we feel we've done our job."
Brianna Finds Her Parents
Brianna meeting Jamie happens basically the same way on the show as it does in the book, though interestingly, book Brianna gets to briefly meet her aunt, Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), at River Run before Fergus's trial.
Claire, however, is nowhere to be seen. Brianna isn't reunited with her until they make their way back to Fraser's Ridge - and we don't get to hear Brianna tell her parents about the death notice. It is mentioned in passing and doesn't come up again until much later, plus in the book, they have a definite date for the fire that will kill Jamie and Claire.
The Misunderstanding With Roger
The show definitely has the gist of this storyline down, but there's one big difference: on the show, Lizzie (Caitlin O'Ryan) knows for sure that Brianna was raped because she sees the aftermath with her own eyes. Lizzie assumes it was Roger, the man she saw arguing with Brianna in the street. When he appears at Fraser's Ridge, Lizzie tells Jamie and Ian (John Bell) that he's the man who attacked Bree.
In the book, when Bree returns from her handfasting and lovemaking with Roger, she hasn't been raped yet. That happens days later. That night, Lizzie infers an awful lot based on Bree's demeanor after her fight with Roger and then later, Lizzie takes it upon herself to tell Jamie that Roger raped Brianna. Lizzie is quite meddlesome and presumptuous in the book, and it's actually kind of nice that the show changed this a bit. It makes the misunderstanding feel a bit less contrived.
Suffice to say, the show writers managed to squeeze a great many events from the book into this episode. But as Davis tells us, they do the best they can with the allotment of screen time they're given, and she actually doesn't think this season is whizzing along any faster than previous seasons have.
"I'm not sure I've noticed this season more than other seasons that it's going so much faster, but I'm thrilled the way it all worked out. We certainly break the season where we pull out the tent-pole moments and want to make sure we hit everything, and I'm sure that we did that," says Davis. "At the end of the day, we just have to try to come to a consensus among ourselves and try to do the major moments and stay on the path. If we can stick to the spirit of the book and if Diana is happy, we feel we've done the best job we can. I think there's a very satisfying ending to the season."

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch Is Jam-Packed With Easter Eggs - These Are the Most Important
Warning: Spoilers for Black Mirror: Bandersnatch below!
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, the long-rumored interactive episode of Charlie Brooker's sci-fi series, is now streaming on Netflix, which means fans need to dust off their red conspiracy-theorist string and start connecting the story to the rest of the show's universe. Of course, that's easier said than done given the sheer amount of detail that has been packed into each and every episode over the last four seasons (with a fifth on the way). Fortunately we decided to sit through all five endings Bandersnatch has to offer, picking out the most important details that pop up as Stefan morphs from an ambitious video game programmer to a murderous young man with a penchant for flow charts.
Taylor Swift Rang in the New Year by Hosting a Star-Studded Costume Party - See the Photos!
Taylor Swift certainly knows how to throw a party! While the rest of us celebrated New Year's Eve by wearing 2019 glasses and throwing confetti in the air, the "Delicate" singer opted to have a fun-filled costume party instead. In honor of the new year, Taylor and the rest of her friends decided to dress up as their childhood heroes, and the costumes were so cute!
Taylor dressed up as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, while Gigi Hadid dressed up as Mary Poppins and Blake Lively dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Plus, it looks like there was a special viewing of Taylor's Netflix concert special and plenty of Ryan Reynolds's Aviation gin on hand. Sounds like our kind of party!
10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Getting a Divorce
Now that I'm nearing the end of the divorce process (it's a marathon - not a sprint!), I'm starting to reflect on the things I wish I had done differently or, perhaps, the things I wish I had known before getting a divorce, period. I don't think there is any real book to prepare you for divorce, as each person's experience is so unique. But as you're headed down the aisle - that's the court aisle - of divorce, there are some things it wouldn't hurt to know as you sever your formerly "forever" relationship.
6 Ways I Benefited From Turning Off My Phone For Just 1 Week
I've had a cell phone since I was 11. I know - let that sink in for a second. Post 9/11, my parents wanted to make sure my brother and I had a way to get in touch with them in case of emergencies, so for the past decade and a half, I've had a phone essentially super glued to my left hand. In essence, I've been conditioned.
This past year, I hit my threshold of feeling overwhelmed. I was so tuned into everything around me and around the world 24/7, responding to everyone within seconds, constantly available . . . that I forgot to tune into what I needed. As such, stress levels contributed to atrocious mental health, chronic illness, and a destroyed immune system.
I needed to do a hard reset, and not on my phone - on my life.
The reset started with clearing my calendar, finding a place to chill out and rest, and then digitally detoxing. Phase one: move apps like Instagram to new folders on my phone and put new apps in their former places to see how often I was mindlessly opening them. Phase two: delete social media apps temporarily. Phase three: no tech for one week. GASP! I know. Here's what went down. (Note: this also went down on a week I was not at work - truly tech-free!)
I Replaced My Morning Coffee With a Ginger Shot Years Ago, and It Seriously Changed My Life
To say I was a kid who loved coffee would be an understatement. I was obsessed with it. During the summers I ordered Frappuccinos with loads of whipped cream on top. In the wintertime, it was Dunkaccinos from Dunkin Donuts, the hot chocolate-coffee hybrid that tasted like it was straight out of a dream. When other tweens were drinking soda and chocolate milk during lunchtime, I somehow managed to get my hands on the chilled "to-go" beverages from Starbucks - you know the ones that came in the glass bottle? Yes, I was hooked.
However, all of this changed during college. It was just around the time that I graduated from Mocha Frappuccino to Caramel Macchiato with soy milk that I started feeling coffee's negative effects. The caffeine made me jittery, anxious, and unfocused - symptoms that only intensified if I drank it on an empty stomach. I knew I needed to make a change and quick.
One day while walking around Whole Foods in a cranky, caffeinated haze, I came across a glass case full of ginger shots. I decided on a whim that this is what I would replace my coffee with, and I've never looked back. Here are all the ways it improved my health and my life.
I Got Strong Instead of Skinny, and I've Never Been Happier
For most of my teenage years and early 20s, I considered a "great body" to be skinny with thin legs and a booty that was on the smaller, flatter end. I thought my bigger bubble butt was too large for my small frame on top, and I desperately wanted to hide my curves that are now much more embraced, even sought after, in today's world. I'd wear larger tops to conceal my butt, and I'd always feel a little self-conscious when I had to wear shorts, a bikini, or tighter dresses. I've always been a pretty confident person, but there was a piece missing: I couldn't overcome my obsession with how my body looked on a daily basis.
Because I wanted to drop those pounds and look like other people at my school who had skinnier bodies, I developed an unhealthy eating style that persisted for a few years. Cycling through various eating disorders, chronic food guilt, and a compulsive need to think so critically before making food choices, I suffered emotionally all the damn time. I'd plan what I would eat from a restaurant menu a day or two before, going back and forth on what I thought had the least number of calories. I'd decide how much of my meal to eat compared to what others were eating around me. And if I did end up eating more than I thought I should, I'd feel like crap and beat myself up over it for hours and even days. So many wasted minutes were spent obsessing over food, how it affected my body and took me away from getting skinnier, and how not to be so hungry.
As I began to feel happier, stronger, and proud of myself when working out and attaining new fitness goals, that emotional despair went away.
Then something changed. I'm honestly not sure when my goals and perception shifted, but I think they did as I became happier. I had entered a relationship, I had more friends, and I just came into myself more. But I also realized that my body was my body, and I had a booty. I learned to like myself a hell of a lot and was so sick of feeling bad all the time. I wanted to become the best version of myself, not someone striving to fit a skinny ideal. I needed to find that missing link because it was a daily battle with my body and emotional well-being. I wanted to get stronger, not skinnier, and start embracing my body's natural figure.
I told myself that if I was going to have a bigger butt, I might as well make it a toned one! Up to this point, I had been working out on the elliptical only. I couldn't run long-distance, do sprints, or lift weights. I began to go to fitness classes where weights, battle ropes, monkey bars, and resistance bands were included, and I was horrible. I passed out the first time I had a personal training session. Embarrassing.
But I kept at it, and I ended up seeing some great progress. I never thought I'd like to see muscle in my arms or want to have a nice, round tush that was firm and visible. I slowly started to ditch the longer shirts and embraced my curves. They actually made me feel sexier - way sexier than when I was more "skinny fat" during my restricted-dieting years. Now, I'll go out in crop tops to show off the abs I've worked so hard for.
As I began to feel happier, stronger, and proud of myself when working out and attaining new fitness goals, that emotional despair went away. After each set of burpees or every additional squat or renegade row, I felt powerful and bold. I knew I was doing something good for my body, my mind, and my health: I was healing. I knew the difference between right and wrong thinking. Realizing that a stronger body, no matter how "skinny" it is (those who are naturally skinnier are just as beautiful!), is well-nourished and strong was spot on, and honestly, that newfound mindset saved me.
Now I love my body. I love it even when I'm PMSing and have gained five pounds of water weight. I love it after a huge meal when it's a little fatigued and full. I love it when it's pushing me through a HIIT circuit. I love it first thing in the morning and when I go to bed. I love it naked. I love how I feel in it. I learned to love it.
All people and figures are unique, and as long as you love yours and treat it well, that's all that matters. There is no "right" body to strive for.
Now I'm strong and healthy. I make a point of eating protein and veggies and indulging in my favorite cocktails, pizza, and fries. When I eat a protein bar before or after a workout, I feel awesome. I know I'm fueling my muscles and metabolism, whereas before, I'd nibble on a protein bar with food guilt. I got back to enjoying food of all types, listening to my body and feeding it when it was hungry, and falling more in love with my body every day. Picking up those weights for the first time was the greatest gift I could've given myself, and it's made me into the woman I am today.

Phase three: no tech for one week. GASP! I know. Here's what went down. (Note: this also went down on a week I was not at work - truly tech-free!)
5 Simple Tips For Creating Resolutions You'll Actually Stick With in 2019
Despite what all the memes might try to tell you about how it's inevitable - and humorous - that you'll fail at all your attempts to be a better version of yourself starting in the new year, the reality is that simply doesn't have to be true. Yes, it can be tough to stick to lofty goals you set for yourself on Jan. 1, but it is also totally possible to use the gift of a new calendar year to put new healthy habits into practice.
For me personally, this last year was proof I could make resolutions that I actually accomplished and stuck with throughout the whole year. Here are some simple steps to consider when trying to take your goals from resolutions to reality.
I'm Lazy and a Horrible Cook, but I Still Manage to Meal Prep - Here's How I Do It
My husband watches a lot of Chopped and Iron Chef. I think it's escapism for him because our kitchen is more like American Horror Story than Top Chef. Not that he's any better - his idea of cooking is heating up a Tombstone pizza. Sure, my cooking skills aren't going to win me any awards (or win over any friends at dinner parties), but eating at home and prepping meals for the week is still important.
If I meal prep for the week ahead, I know I'll have enough food for healthy lunches and dinners so I won't be tempted to eat out. Who do I look like, Oprah Winfrey? Like Oprah, I love bread. Unlike Oprah, I am not a billionaire (yet!) and certainly can't afford to dine out more than a couple times a week. Eating out in New York is expensive, y'all, and I would rather save my hard-earned cash than spend it on a predictable chopped salad down the street.

All of this is to say: I frequently meal prep. But I'm pretty bad at cooking; one time I thought when a recipe called for a clove of garlic, it actually meant a bulb of garlic, so I sautéed enough full cloves of garlic to kill a vampire. Then there was the time I didn't know what "brown the ground turkey" meant, so I had to google it and then call my sister. But a few years (and many, many mistakes) later, I've collected enough meal-prep hacks to actually make it worth my time.
Will you be seeing me on the Food Network anytime soon? Probably not. But I can make enough meals to last me a few days that are edible and sometimes even tasty! It's not like I have all day Sunday to devote to meal prep - I have mimosas to drink and Law & Order: SVU marathons to watch. So here are the seven hacks my husband and I use regularly to make sure meal prep is as easy and efficient as possible.
I Had 11 Bridesmaids, and I Don't Regret a Thing
I've always felt that weddings are a time to beautifully blend not just two hearts, but two families. This ceremonious moment also includes friends who know the couple well and have been by their sides throughout different times in their lives. When my girlfriends and I used to fantasize about who we would marry and what our weddings would be like, I always had an idea of which girls would be standing up there with me as I said "I do." By the time the fantasy of a dream man and a dream wedding became a reality for me, I had gathered a strong group of women and forged relationships with those who I knew were important enough to me and my fiancé to be more than just guests on our wedding day. So, I ended up with 11 bridesmaids. That's right - 11.
During the planning process leading up to getting down the aisle, I heard some remarks about being excessive and got plenty of side eyes and nonverbal reactions, which I knew would translate into a behind-my-back bridezilla discussion. And while the comments I heard and insecurities I had about having such a large bridal party bothered me a little then, I am more than happy to look back on those memories now and feel even more validated in my initial feelings of inclusion.
This week will be seven years since our wedding. While looking through our wedding album recently and reminiscing about the day, I am proud to say that my relationships with each of the women who walked down the aisle before me that day have not only sustained but also grown in their own way. Fortunately for me, I was right in choosing who I chose to be in my wedding. I consider myself lucky to have a few different solid groups of girlfriends. Making up my 11 bouquet-toting, cranberry-colored-dress-wearing bridesmaids were friends and family by marriage, two sisters-in-law, and two in-laws-to-be.
I know for some it's not easy to pick a maid of honor, especially when you have so many close girlfriends, but for me there was never any doubt who would hold that title. From the time we met the very first night of college, we were beyond kindred spirits and instant best friends, and I probably knew in that moment that she would hold the coveted title of MOH at my wedding some day.
I wanted to look back at our wedding day and know that the people who would be important in my future played an important role in our beginning.
I have known a few of the other girls since kindergarten, and we picked up some more friends along the way in middle and high school. This group grew up together, and we not only watched each other grow, but also allowed and encouraged one another to become the women we are today. Both my brothers were married before me, and including their wives in our wedding was a must for me. These women would be my future children's aunts and my built-in companions, and they are two women who love my brothers as much as I do.
Rounding out my 11 were my future sister-in-law and niece. While I knew then that I adored these last two, I chose to ask them to be part of the wedding party more because of what I believed I knew was to come. I wanted to look back at our wedding day and know that the people who would be important in my future played an important role in our beginning.
So here we are seven years later, and I am thrilled looking at the pictures, knowing my husband's sister was not only a part of that day but also there for moments like the birth of our first child three years later and the baptism of our second weeks ago. I love seeing my best friends from elementary school standing by me then, and I appreciate how we're still in one another's lives, enjoying shared excitement that two of them are about to have their first babies. The pictures represent a moment in time when I believed in the fact that these women meant something to me, but I couldn't have imagined how much more that would deepen over the past seven years. It was important to me that our wedding party be made up of not just those who knew me well and had stood by me my whole life, but also those who would be standing by me for important moments from the wedding day and beyond for the rest of my life.
When looking where I am now and how the women smiling back at me in those matching dresses are still a big part of my life, I have no regrets about having such a huge bridal party. It's a testament to our friendships and the relationships I have continued to make a priority in my life.
These women are my tribe; they stood by me before that day, and they stand by me now.
So if you are planning a wedding and having a hard time choosing who to ask to be a bridesmaid, my advice to you is to think of your past, present, and future. Who means something to you and knows you inside and out because they've been part of your life for so long? Who are you cultivating relationships with that you met through your future spouse? Who has become part of your family through marriage? And if you come up with 11 names? Don't feel like you're being over the top by not narrowing it down. If your fiancé or fiancée doesn't have that many friends or family to match your side of the bridal party? Who cares?! Weddings are becoming more and more nontraditional, and if you have a list of 10 and your spouse-to-be has five, what are the reasons to cut some of the ones close to you?
Our pictures came out great, I was able to stay within a small budget for bridesmaids gifts, and I now have a confident response to the eye rolls I got when telling people about my bridal party. These women are my tribe; they stood by me before that day, and they stand by me now. What better way to celebrate our friendship than by having them by my side as I pledged to spend the rest of my life growing and deepening a relationship with the man I love? I love my tribe, and I love that they were important then, are important now, and will continue to be important as we go forward in our parallel journeys through this crazy thing we call life.

Game of Thrones: Why Tyrion Is Destined to Betray Daenerys in Season 8
If the fans are right, then the Hand of the Queen may be harboring a secret that could lead to Daenerys's downfall in Game of Thrones season eight. Throughout season seven, Daenerys and Tyrion's once-strong partnership seems to deteriorate by the episode, thanks in part to the presence of Jon Snow. From the moment he arrives on the scene, the Dragon Queen stops listening to her Hand and begins paying attention to her heart. Perhaps the most startling moment for Tyrion is when she burns the Tarlys alive for not bending the knee to her. One thing is certain: by the end of the season, he seems to be a bit disillusioned with Daenerys, and one scene in particular has some fans convinced he's going to betray his queen . . . if he hasn't already.
Ranker writer Stephan Roget makes a compelling argument that the missing dialogue between Cersei telling Tyrion she's pregnant and her decision to, at least publicly, declare her support for the North suggests that her little brother is conspiring with her against Daenerys. Now, there's no love between Tyrion and his sister, which makes the idea that he's working with her in any capacity suspect. However, his love for Myrcella and Tommen is a known fact. He's also harboring some guilt over sending Myrcella away, an act that ultimately leads to her death. Knowing that his sister is expecting may be enough for him to strike a deal with her if he believes it would protect her unborn child.
Reddit user Ikkbinz believes Tyrion convinces Cersei to say she'll send her forces to the North in order to pacify Jon and Daenerys. They even suggest he may have offered to make sure Cersei's unborn child is declared the heir after Daenerys's reign because the Dragon Queen (supposedly) cannot conceive. Why would Tyrion want Jon and the Mother of Dragons to believe they'll have the help of the Southern Army when no help is coming though? The short answer is Jaime.
For all of his talk, Tyrion does have a sense of loyalty to the Lannisters. However, it's nothing compared to his loyalty to the realm. In this moment in time, nothing matters more than defeating the Night King. As a strategic thinker, the youngest Lannister son knows that Daenerys and Jon need to focus on the threat in the North, and if Cersei straight-up denies her support in the war, then they'll be waging a war on two fronts. That's not ideal when an army of the undead is marching on Westeros. Furthermore, Tyrion knows Jaime will keep his word and ride North, even if Cersei believes her twin will stay by her side. Tyrion may believe that Jaime will be able to convince at least some soldiers to join him, but even if he doesn't, having a man with the level of military experience that Jaime has on their side could be vital in defeating the Night King.
In this way, Tyrion accomplishes three things: Jon and Daenerys keep their focus on the White Walkers, Jaime joins the fight in the North, and Cersei's unborn child is potentially protected for now. He may be hoping he can keep the current Queen of Westeros safe long enough for her to give birth so that his niece or nephew has a chance to live. This would also fulfill a prophecy surrounding Daenerys from the books. In the House of the Undying, she's told, "Three treasons will you know . . . once for blood and once for gold and once for love." Tyrion's betrayal would be the one for love - of his family and the realm.
Given how tense things currently are between Tyrion and Daenerys, it's unclear whether he will continue to support her after the Night King is defeated. For now, though, the simple act of knowing Cersei is lying could be seen as a major betrayal because it could lead to disaster in the North if they don't have enough soldiers to hold back the Army of the Dead. Ultimately, Tyrion's decision may feel like the best solution for all involved, but his queen won't see it that way. If she learns that Tyrion made any move behind her back, then their alliance will be left in tatters. In turn, this could lead to a final battle between the Lannisters and Daenerys that no one saw coming, all because the Hand of the Queen couldn't turn his back on his sister and brother's unborn child.
