David Beckham Wears Teal Eye Makeup on the Cover of Love, and Somewhere Bowie Is Smiling
David Beckham isn't one to play it safe: the star and former professional footballer has experimented with mohawks, man buns, and now, eye makeup. Beckham is on the cover of Love's January 2019 issue, where he's shown wearing eyeliner and vibrant teal eye shadow. This is the bi-annual magazine's first "moving image" issue, and part of that involves a series of short art films starring Beckham and other famous faces like Uma Thurman, Kate Moss, Courtney Love, and more.
In the captivating video, which also seems to subtly honor David Bowie's celebrated style, Beckham smears his eye makeup as he talks about how he gained his confidence in a voice-over. "I was always that kid in the corner that didn't really say much," Beckham said. "I knew that once I was on the field, I was confident. It was all I ever wanted: to be a professional footballer." Watch the video - and check out Love's stunning, stop-you-in-your-tracks cover - ahead.
Bohemian Rhapsody's Makeup Team Shares Why Freddie Mercury Only Wore Nail Polish on 1 Hand
Fake teeth. Mustache wigs. A prosthetic nose.
These are all things that "went 100 miles" in transforming Rami Malek into the ever-exuberant Freddie Mercury for Bohemian Rhapsody, the film's hair and makeup department lead Jan Sewell told POPSUGAR. "You don't necessarily want them to look exactly alike, but you do want to catch the essence of the person," she said, adding that it took watching hundreds of hours' worth of footage to get his look just right.
"You don't necessarily want them to look exactly alike, but you do want to catch the essence of the person."
Hence, the minutiae tweaks. "Rami's strong jawline is very similar to Freddie's, so that's fantastic, but not much else was the same," Sewell explained. It's why she made "so many pairs" of artificial teeth to recreate the Queen frontman's pronounced overbite - "because it was a big piece of Freddie, so we kept changing them even by just a millimeter shorter or longer," she said - and ordered countless different mustaches.
The stakes were high, after all: this is one of the most legendary rock stars in history. "In one of my first conversations with Rami, I knew he was was keen to try anything I wanted to do," she said. "Whatever it took." The rest of the details (which you can read ahead), as they say, will rock you.

This Japanese Beauty Tool Makes Masking Completely Mess Free, and It's $6 on Amazon
One of the many reasons I had always wanted to go to Japan was the plethora of unique products sold there that were unlike anything found in the United States. While I had heavily researched prior to shopping in Tokyo, there were more than a handful of beauty items (and foods, for that matter) I had no idea existed. Among the suitcase full of souvenirs I brought home was a fairly cheap product that I've been using each and every time I sheet mask: the Daiso Reusable Silicone Moisturizing Mask ($6).
Daiso is an amazing discount store in Japan, and it was there that I found this reusable topper, but it's also conveniently available on Amazon. To use it, you simply put on your favorite sheet mask and then use the silicone shield on top, attaching it to behind your ears. Instantly, any qualm you've ever had about sheet masking is gone. The silicone cover prevents you from dripping or getting things around you wet, keeps it from sliding off your face, and, most importantly, keeps the essence from evaporating off the mask and into the air, allowing the ingredients to penetrate your skin more effectively. When you're done, rinse the product in the sink and hang it up to dry. Wearing this might make you look a lot like Hannibal Lecter, but I promise it's worth scaring your loved ones.

This Golden Girls Lip Art Is Mesmerizing, but Wait Until You Hear How It Was Created
From its detail to the nostalgia it evokes, everything about this Golden Girls lip art is perfect. But makeup artist Ryan Kelly (who also put together this vivid Bird Box lip art) revealed that the illustration was created in the most painstaking way way.
"There's no easy way out," she said in the caption of her photo. "I found a reference photo that I liked and drew it out with some adjustments so that the proportions would work for my lips (i.e., no heads/major details between my top and bottom lip, and rounding it out in places), then made the drawing into a stencil and transferred it to my lips."
Sure, the process was time-consuming, but as Blanche once said, "Better late than pregnant."

Does Having Acne Impact Your Job Prospects? The Answer Might Surprise You
Much to the dismay of anyone with atychiphobia, the truth about job hunting remains: in interviews, like in life, there are only so many things you can control. Even when you've fine-tuned your résumé, researched the company, and concocted a decidedly thoughtful response to the wild card "What kind of animal would you be?" question, sometimes there are other, far less obvious factors playing into your odds of getting hired - like the condition of your skin.
It isn't always conscious, but for some interviewers, the bias is real. Studies have shown that people with facial acne are discriminated against in the job market, with one survey revealing that 78 percent of respondents thought people with blemishes or acne scars were less likely to be hired based on their appearance.
"We live in a society that socializes us to have certain stereotypes that might exist outside of our conscious awareness," said Alison Green, an ex-hiring manager and columnist for the popular career blog Ask a Manager. "These biases can be about race, gender, age, religion, disability, socioeconomic class, physical attractiveness - all sorts of things."
"Whether consciously or unconsciously, we assume that attractiveness is associated with competence, even though we know that it's not true."
From a legal standpoint, no federal law has been passed to protect people based on their appearances, at least not without the evidence of a disability. But that last part - a bias based on someone's physical attractiveness - has been widely researched.
"Whether consciously or unconsciously, we assume that attractiveness is associated with competence, even though we know that it's not true," said Matthew Traube, MFT, a psychotherapist who specializes in the psychological impact of skin conditions. "I have had clients tell me that they felt that they would have gotten a job if they did not have acne."
In some cases, this bias can vary depending on the actual open position; Green notes that more managers will put weight on a candidate's appearance if the job is a client-facing one. "They'll often frame it as looking for candidates who are 'well-groomed and polished,' but in practice that's sometimes more about a particular physical look than it is about polish," she said. "And to be clear, employers should recognize that you can have acne and still be well-groomed and polished."
As for the reason behind the bias, Traube theorizes it could be due to the misguided perception that acneic skin is a result of poor hygiene - an association that, again, the interviewer might only be partly aware of. Dr. Josie Howard, MD, a psychodermatologist and expert for Abreva, agrees: "Blemishes, cold sores, and even psoriasis and eczema are often seen as a source of contagion. Society can have a negative perception of blemishes, especially on the face, even when the condition is common."
In an ideal world, all employers will have trained hiring managers on how to identify, and then guard against, every type of unconscious bias. Still, acne bias can also be self-inflicted. Going into an interview already worried that others will think less of you because of your skin, Traube says, could then negatively affect your performance.
"People become acutely aware of any visible blemishes, and their self-consciousness is intensified."
"Having any visible skin condition - especially one that is on the face, like acne or a cold sore - can have a profound impact on self-esteem," Dr. Howard said. "By definition, job interviews are a time where you are presenting yourself to be evaluated and trying to put your best face forward, so to speak. People become acutely aware of any visible blemishes, and their self-consciousness is intensified - taking their mental and emotional focus off the content of the interview and interpersonal interactions and onto worrying about their skin and appearance."
To make matters worse, if you're prone to hormonal breakouts, the stress that comes with prepping for an interview could also trigger flare-ups. "For skin conditions that are exacerbated by anxiety, this can become a vicious cycle," Dr. Howard said. "Stress can impair the immune system and in turn make you more vulnerable to acne. Then, the stress of a visible outbreak increases stress, further worsening the blemish."
When you feel stress acne coming on, the most important course of action is to stick to your normal skin-care routine. Don't add an extra step or spend too much time in front of a magnifying mirror - that only makes it worse, she says. Keeping a fast-acting spot treatment or hydrocolloid bandage in your purse can give you peace of mind. More importantly, though, wear your confidence as if it were included with purchase of your Cole Haan loafers.
"The single most important factor is presenting yourself as comfortable in your skin," said Dr. Howard. "You might have a visible blemish, but focusing your attention on your excitement about the job will quickly shift your interviewer's focus as well. As Sophia Loren said, 50 percent of beauty is believing you are beautiful."

Why Making the Bed Every Single Morning Can Transform Your Whole Day
As the mother of a toddler, I'm constantly impressed at how quickly the day can become overwhelming. Even before having a child, there were days where I felt like if I wasn't careful, the whole world would spin out of control. Between juggling work, exercise, and keeping a house somewhat clean, the day can feel like a series of falling dominoes. While some people like to prep for their day with yoga or by listening to some uplifting music, the one thing that is transformative to my day is making the bed.
Much like making the perfect pot of tea or pouring a cup of coffee, there is a ritualistic aspect to making the bed. It signals to my exhausted body that sleep is over, even if I wish I could crawl back into bed. As I bring the blanket to the headboard and stretch it across the mattress, I am committing myself to a productive day, one removed from slumber and ready for new experiences.
Even though I'm sure this is partly eye-roll inducing, since it's probably something your mother tells you to do, sometimes mama is definitely right. While it's easy to scoff at a task so simple, making the bed can seriously change your whole mood. After a bad day where nothing went right and I'm exhausted, at the very least I managed to do that easy task of making my room look and feel more put together.
At least I managed to accomplish this task, and sometimes that's enough to make the day feel more successful.
There is nothing worse than coming home to an unkempt house. It just feels icky, and I'm not even a clean freak. However, the simple act of making my bed helps me be more productive. I've noticed that the mornings when I make the bed I am more likely to actually hang my towel up instead of draping it over the door knob or leaving it on the floor. My dishes magically find their way to the dishwasher instead of the sink. In short, my whole apartment benefits just by focusing on one manageable task.
The best part about this simple act is that you get to choose how much effort you put into it. Some days, OK most days, I'm still feeling lazy and I'll just pull the blankets and sheets up, smoothing out the top. Other days when I'm feeling super fancy, I'll tuck the blanket and sheets back for a more polished look. Pillows, throw blankets, and decorative folds are all personal elements that help create a put-together bed. Regardless of your style, making the bed takes only a couple minutes and can transform your whole day.
Life can be pretty challenging at times. But I know that if I've done nothing else in my day, at least I managed to accomplish this task, and sometimes that's enough to make the day feel more successful.
I Bought This Kohl's Midi Skirt and It's So Flattering, I Can't Believe It's Under $50
I have always been intimidated by the midi skirt trend. My hips are much wider than my waist, so they often make me look like a potato sack because they never fit quite right. After years of staying away from the look, everything changed when I slipped into this Star Asymmetrical Ruffle-Hem Skirt ($45, originally $60) from our POPSUGAR collection at Kohl's.
This design lays over my body effortlessly, flattering my stomach and waist.
This design lays over my body effortlessly, flattering my stomach and waist. There is an elastic section on the back of this piece that allows each woman to get her perfect fit. Plus, the asymmetrical hem lets you show off a hint of leg and add shape to your figure. This is a skirt I can easily take from day to night; it looks great with heels and a bodysuit, as well as with a sweater and booties.
The skirt runs pretty true to size - I'm wearing it in a large, which is often what I wear in pants and skirts. If you're looking for a new wardrobe style, I highly suggest giving this design a try while it's on sale. I'll be wearing mine on the regular.

They seemed to *subtly* coordinate in textured pantsuits - Victoria's a salt and pepper design from her pre-Fall '19 collection and Hana's a military-inspired set - and Hana even wore Kent & Curwen knitwear to rep the family label. Angelina Jolie Is Bringing Back the Tube Top, and Our Middle School Selves Are Freaking Out
Angelina Jolie's style usually consists of monochrome outfits full of fitted blazers, long cardigans, and neutral hues - that's a fact. The last thing we expected to see her in is a tube top. Yes, you heard that right, a tube top! The actress was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a head-to-toe neutral outfit consisting of a sleek cream coat and a white silk skirt. But, it was her version of the '00s staple that made us turn our heads. Angelina opted for a chic, ribbed tube top that made the trend feel fresh and modern. She accessorized with a top-handle bag, aviator shades, and a pearl necklace.
Iskra Lawrence Did the MOST at the Globes Afterparty by Wearing 2 Jaw-Dropping Gowns
Have you ever been stuck deciding between two outfits? Well, just follow Iskra Lawrence, because the curve model figured out a genius solution. While most people showed up to the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty wearing just one outfit, Iskra did the MOST by wearing not one but two dresses!
The British model, who was styled by Scot Louie, did an outfit change and hit the red carpet twice to show off each look. She started off in an ice blue satin gown by Theia that featured a sculpted bodice before switching into a custom Valdrin Sahiti ombré gown that came with a cascading, ruffled train. Iskra accessorized both gowns with a clutch by Heliopolis and jewels by Jason of Beverly Hills. Read on to see all angles of her outfit.
Holy Moly - Lea Michele Looks Like a Tangerine Dream in Her Golden Globes Gown
Lea Michele may not have been up for an award during Sunday night's Golden Globes ceremony, but her outfit deserves a statue of its own. After cheering on her former costar Darren Criss for his big win last night, the Glee alum stepped out at the InStyle afterparty looking just as dreamy as can be in bright orange. The actress wore a strapless, floor-length Alex Perry gown with a sheer cutout in her midriff area. She finished her look with a pair of gold, strappy heels made by designer Alexandre Birman and jewelry from Stephen Webster. Keep reading to see more photos of Lea's look from all angles.
Chrissy Teigen's Plunging One-Piece Is So NSFW, She Blurred It Out on Instagram
Chrissy Teigen has been ringing in 2019 with a tropical family vacation, and you better believe she packed some sexy swimwear for the getaway. A few days after rocking a bright orange bathing suit while paddleboarding with her adorable daughter, Luna, the 33-year-old star slipped into a revealing one-piece that made our eyes cartoonishly pop out of our heads. Chrissy's white suit - an ethereal piece from Zimmermann's 2019 Resort Swim collection - featured a dangerously plunging neckline, backless silhouette, and tied waist with a corsage-like adornment.
The low-cut swimwear was deemed so NSFW, in fact, that Chrissy jokingly blurred out the neckline while sharing an Instagram photo with her pals Meghan Mackenzie and Jen Atkin. But don't worry, fam - she gave us a better look at the white-hot one-piece on her Instagram Stories, where she posted a handful of heart-palpitation-inducing snaps that showed just how low it dipped in the front. Keep reading to admire Chrissy's head-turning one-piece and shop it for yourself, along with other similar styles. Thanks for the swimspo, Chrissy!
Caitriona Balfe's Dress Starts Out Simple, but Just You Wait Until You See the Skirt
The Golden Globes red carpet wasn't short on dramatic gowns with unusual silhouettes, from Lady Gaga's voluminous periwinkle confection to Janelle Monáe's double-layered, armored design. But one star who really pushed the boat out when it comes to proportions was Caitriona Balfe. After wowing us in a her formfitting Chanel number from last year, this time around, the Outlander star wore a custom gown by Moschino with a heavily exaggerated burgundy velvet tulip skirt. The fullness at the hips meant the dress had plenty of room for pockets, which we all know is the red carpet dream.
With such an eye-catching gown, Caitriona quite rightly kept her accessories simple, skipping the big jewels in favor of some '90s-inspired hair clips. Her black satin bag came complete with a prominent "Time's Up" ribbon, in support of the continued campaign for safe, fair, and dignified workplaces for women. The four-time nominee may not have been successful when it came to winning a Golden Globe this year, but she definitely won when it comes to taking style risks. Keep reading for a closer look at her gown and that very important accessory.
10 Things to Know About Hannah G., One of Colton's Bachelor Frontrunners
She's a blond, blue-eyed Southern belle named Hannah Godwin, and she looks right up Colton Underwood's alley. While this season of The Bachelor features a bunch of promising women for the leading man, there's something undeniably special about this girl, and we want to know everything about her, ASAP! Hannah, who describes herself as an "influencer" with a "passion for fashion" on her website, is beautiful, but she's also brainy, with a degree in business marketing and a growing photography business. Um, she's also a model, so there's that. Colton seems to be looking for the whole package and may have found it in Hannah. Maybe their spark grows into a flame, but in any event, here's what we know about her!
Jimmy Fallon's Bird Box Parody Features Lindsay Lohan, So You Better Take Off Your Blindfold
The Bird Box mania has officially hit late-night! Fresh off a hiatus for the holidays, The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon parodied the fan-favorite Netflix movie on Monday with a little help from The Roots, Steve Higgins, and special guest Lindsay Lohan.
In the clip, Fallon delivered Sandra Bullock's serious opening monologue and demanded The Roots and his "sidekick" cover their eyes before they ventured outside. Instead of being faced with the invisible creatures, however, they were confronted with a uniquely hypnotizing sight: Lohan and her meme-worthy Mykonos dance. The 32-year-old actress busted out some viral moves at her beach resort back in September, and apparently they're enough to coax Fallon and the crew to open their eyes. Watch the video above to witness all the hilarity ensue, and then check out some of our favorite Bird Box memes.
The Best Limo Entrances in The Bachelor's Season Premiere, From the Insane to the Adorable
There are certain things that every contestant on The Bachelor needs for success: a small fortune to spend on sparkly gowns, a curling wand, a never-ending supply of teeth whitening strips, a habit of stirring up drama, and - most of all - a memorable limo entrance in the season premiere.
Over the years, there have been fake pregnant bellies, backflips, and even a Radio City Rockette who forced Brad Womack to do some high kicks, so when Colton Underwood's season of the dating reality series premiered on Monday night, we were ready for some equally zany antics to go down before all the women made their way into the famed mansion. Boy, did they deliver.
From cute Love Actually-esque stunts to "what the hell was she thinking?!" moments, see our top 10 favorites ahead.
Bachelor Nation Has Polarizing Feelings About Colton's Premiere, and We Can't Blame It
If there's one thing we appreciate in a season of The Bachelor, it's some delicious drama. And boy did the start of Colton Underwood's season feed us well . . . though it took a while to get there. The three-hour premiere (that's right - it was three hours long) gave us dogs, dancing, drama, and so many virgin jokes. By the way, in case you somehow missed it, Colton went into this season a virgin.
In between meeting Bachelor superfans at several watch parties hosted by former contestants, we met the women vying for Colton's heart, and it was a doozy. They quickly proved that they're not afraid to pull out all the stops for Colton's attention - whether that means dressing up in a sloth costume or faking a charming Australian accent. We can't knock that kind of tactical maneuvering (Bri did get a rose at the end of the night, after all), but it was the rest of the episode that had us refilling our wineglasses. Two women wore the same dress, pageant queens realized they're in competition again - but this time for love - and this season's "villain" made her debut in a very contentious way.
The entire premiere had Bachelor Nation in a tizzy - some loved it, and some . . . didn't - so we've rounded up some of the most relatable reactions that will have you raising your glass in solidarity.
8 Bachelor Scandals That Are Almost Too Wild to Be True
As dedicated fans of The Bachelor, we've seen every tear, every fight, and every shocking rose ceremony, but there are some events that just stand out in our minds as being the most catastrophic. OK, maybe we're being a little dramatic, but the show's scandals have been really wild.
While we can only imagine what the rest of this Bachelor season will bring, we can take a look at past ones and those standout times the singles and couples on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and even Bachelor Pad (remember that one?) left us thinking, "What the hell just happened?"
Who Is Hannah B. From The Bachelor? Here's What to Know About Miss Alabama
This year's group of contestants on The Bachelor includes not one, but two pageant gals. There's Caelynn, who holds the Miss North Carolina title, and Hannah Brown, who is Miss Alabama USA 2018. And based on Hannah B.'s Bachelor bio, she's super proud of her home state.
Hannah attended the University of Alabama, where she earned a degree in communications, according to ABC. She's born and raised in the Southern state, and she has an accent to match, too. If Colton's into Bri's fake Australian accent, maybe he'll also be drawn to Hannah's Southern drawl?
Confusingly, this season's other Hannah, Hannah G., is also from Alabama. Still, it seems fair for Hannah B. to claim the "Alabama Hannah" nickname, considering she's Miss Alabama USA herself. Here's what fans should know about the Bachelor hopeful.
Meet The Bachelor's Bri Barnes - AKA the Girl With the Fake Australian Accent
Brianna Barnes (who goes by Bri) started making headlines before season 23 of The Bachelor even premiered. It wasn't because she was rumored to make it to the end, nor was it because there was some questionable information dug up from her past. It was because she introduced herself to Colton Underwood in an Australian accent . . . a fake Australian accent. It's definitely a first-of-its-kind strategy for standing out on night one. We'll see how far her relationship with Colton goes, but for now, here's what you need to know about the blonde bombshell who is not from Down Under.
It's Safe to Say That Bachelor Nation Isn't Crazy About DJ Catherine on The Bachelor
Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor has just begun, and we've already zeroed in on the season's "villain." Catherine, the 26-year-old DJ from Fort Lauderdale, FL, makes sure the rest of the women know that she's not here to make friends; she's here for Colton's attention.
Not only does she bring her dog, Lucy, for Colton to babysit, but over the course of the night, Catherine interrupts four one-on-one conversations to steal Colton's time. Now, some might argue that the entire goal of the first night is to catch the Bachelor's eye and make a lasting impression. Getting cut before you even have a chance to get to know each other is always tragic. So, naturally, Catherine worries that she isn't getting enough time alone with the 26-year-old former NFL player and decides to cut in to four other women's time. Seems fair.
Of course the move rubs everyone the wrong way, though 24-year-old Onyeka is the only one who decides to speak to Catherine about it directly. Even though Onyeka lays out a pretty solid argument for why Catherine is being unfair to everyone else, she obviously doesn't take it to heart. And since every season needs a villain in the house, Catherine is one of the women who nabs a rose at the end of the night. To the shock of no one, Bachelor Nation has more than a few words to say about Catherine's time-snatching, dog-abandoning ways. Refill your wineglass and keep reading for some of the funniest reactions to Catherine's shenanigans.
7 Things to Know About the OTHER Beauty Queen on The Bachelor: Caelynn
We knew the competition would be fierce on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, but maybe not this fierce! Among the many, many beautiful women Colton meets out of the limo on night one is Miss North Carolina, Caelynn Miller-Keyes. So yes, a real-live beauty queen (one of two this season).
OK, she's gorgeous as you'd expect, but there's more to the Virginia native than her title. Not only does she hold a degree in broadcast journalism, according to her official bio, but she's also about as wholesome as it gets, counting her grandmother as her BFF. And yes, even a pageant winner has flaws: Miller-Keyes admitted she can't cook to save her life! Read on to find out more about this Bachelor contestant, who is sure to play an important role in Colton's journey to find everlasting love.
The Bachelor: Here Are the Women Who Colton Has Already Eliminated
Are you ready for a whole lot of Colton? Because the 23rd season of The Bachelor officially kicked off on Monday night, and the former NFL player has taken his first steps toward finding true love. The man of the hour, who was dumped by Becca Kufrin in the last season of The Bachelorette and also linked up with on-again, off-again flame Tia Booth on Bachelor in Paradise, is searching for love again, and he certainly has some interesting women trying to woo him.
But sadly - for the ladies, anyway - not everyone has made it through with a rose. In fact, the first batch of contestants has already been sent packing without roses. Check out the status of all the women on the show ahead, and keep checking back each week to see who is still in the running for Colton's heart!
Captain Marvel's New Special Look Has a Young Phil Coulson, Photon Blasts, Skrulls, and More
Are you guys ready? Because an awesome new look at Captain Marvel is here, and there's a lot to unpack. Brie Larson plays the titular superhero - aka Carol Danvers - whose story is set in the '90s (that Blockbuster scene!), and she costars with a very, very young-looking Samuel L. Jackson (CGI is wild, y'all). Although it's an origin story, we'll actually be picking up with Carol far after she becomes one of the galaxy's most powerful superheroes who just might save the Avengers.
The newest footage gives a little more insight into what we can expect in the Marvel movie and provides a little more information on Skrulls, Kree, and the beginning of SHIELD. Watch the special look above, and then check out who else is joining Larson and Jackson in the star-studded cast before the film explodes into theaters on March 8.
Yes, Krystal and Chris From The Bachelor Are Still Engaged and More in Love Than Ever
Considering The Bachelor's focus on love, the franchise doesn't exactly have a stellar track record when it comes to lasting relationships. But there are some couples who've managed to beat the odds and find happiness - and Krystal and Chris from the most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise are one of those couples.
Krystal and Chris got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise last Summer, and it looks like their relationship is stronger than ever. The two of them were in Los Angeles for the premiere of The Bachelor's 23rd season, and they were all smiles as they met with fans and watched the show from a hot tub.
In November 2018, the couple marked their fifth month of engagement on social media after moving into their new home, and while they haven't shared a wedding date yet - right now, it looks like they're just enjoying their time together and taking things one day at a time - when these two decide to tie the knot, they'll probably keep all of their Bachelor fans in the loop. Keep reading to see what they've been up to since the end of Bachelor in Paradise.
Sloths, Puppies, and V-Cards: The Biggest Moments From Colton's First Episode of The Bachelor
Well, you guys, it's here: Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor has officially arrived, and yes, the drama is already simmering.
The 23rd season of the dating reality show premiered on Monday night, bringing with it plenty of awkward introductions filmed in some of the contestants' hometowns; some, uh, unique entrances out of the limo; an adorable, very poofy puppy; and, of course, the introduction of a villain (who happens to be said puppy's owner, coincidentally). Oh, and did I forget to mention the unpopped cherry in the room? That's right - Colton's virginity comes up quite a bit in the premiere . . . to the point where the word "virginity" completely lost all meaning for me by the end of the three-hour-long episode. (That's right - three hours of people repeatedly joking about taking his v-card! That's what I endured!)
If you're still salty about Colton and Tia breaking up on Bachelor in Paradise and couldn't bring yourself to watch the first step in his journey to find love, or if you just want to get a little closer to figuring out who Colton will eventually jump over a fence for, have no fear - I went ahead and broke down the biggest moments of the premiere just for you.
Sandra Oh's Grey's Anatomy Costars Are Adorably Excited About Her Golden Globes Win
There's nothing like having your family on hand to celebrate your greatest accomplishments, and Sandra Oh is getting that two-fold. Not only did the Killing Eve star nab a Golden Globe for best actress in a TV drama with her parents in the audience (her dad even gave her a standing ovation!), she was also treated to some heartfelt love and praise from her former Grey's Anatomy costars online.
Proving that work friendships can be everlasting, the cast of Grey's Anatomy took to Twitter to praise Oh for her historic win. Oh spent 10 years as Dr. Christina Yang on the series and earned several award nominations, including her first Golden Globe in 2006. Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes sent out not one, but two tweets on Oh's win. The first was simply the actress's Twitter handle, confirming that everyone was speechless with joy, even the master with words. She went on to call the win "well-deserved," tweeting, "I am so incredibly happy for @IamSandraOh tonight. Well-deserved. Overdue. She is always best actress, y'all. Always." Which is probably the best referral from a former employer anyone has ever gotten.
Keep reading to see how Oh's other costars congratulated her on her big night, including her TV ex-husband Kevin McKidd!

The Bachelor: Well, Obviously We Need to Talk About Catherine
Krystal, Courtney, Tierra, Vienna, and who could forget Chad? This group of past villains from The Bachelor may be joined by a new name from Colton Underwood's season: Catherine Agro. The 26-year-old Florida native is already rubbing a few fellow contestants the wrong way in the Bachelor Mansion. We don't know exactly how this season will play out or whether she and Underwood will make a lasting love connection, but we do know a little bit about Catherine already.
According to her Bachelor bio, Catherine is a commercial real estate agent by day, but by night, the gorgeous blonde is an aspiring DJ who goes by the name of DJ Agro. She's a rising star on the Fort Lauderdale club scene, so clearly she loves a good party. The only thing Catherine may adore more than beats is her constant companion and "dog daughter," Lucy. She's also apparently involved in cannabis consulting, as she links to the company Jade Green on her private Instagram account. This may or may not be a boon for Underwood, but only time will tell! Guess we'll have to stay tuned.
In the meantime, we can nod our heads and say "me too" about Catherine's choice for her favorite author (Dr. Seuss) and ruminate over why she likens herself to a Ferrari in her bio. Does she think she's fast, sleek, and envy-inducing? Is that why she is the villain of the virgin Bachelor's season? So many questions! How can we wait until next week to find out more? Deep breath. It's going to be one dramatic season with Catherine on the scene!
Sansa Meets Daenerys in Brand New Footage From Game of Thrones Season 8
We know that, for fans, the premiere date for Game of Thrones's eighth and final season feels like an eternity away. With all the clues being dropped by the cast about what we can expect in the last season, it's hard not to let that impatience get to you. Well finally, HBO has given us a little something more than the sneak peek we got in the network's marketing video for their 2019 lineup. Although it's only a 3-second clip of footage, which you can watch above, the scene includes a chilly meeting between Sansa and Daenerys Targaryen in Winterfell, who's arm-in-arm with her love, Jon Snow.
Once you finish making a few theories based off of that clip - as well as the clip HBO previously shared of Jon being embraced by Sansa - you should also watch the teaser dropped on Dec. 6, which is much more about reading between the lines. In it, below, we see the map of the Seven Kingdoms on Daenerys's Painted Table at Dragonstone. Frost slowly consumes Westeros as fire rises from the south, until the two clash in what we have no doubt is a fearsome battle.
Though the clip is short and cryptic, it does give fans more than enough to speculate on the who, what, where, and whys happening in the next season, and that will definitely get us through as we wait for more info. Check out the video above and after your fourth rewatch, read these theories on how the eighth installment might shape up.

Where to Follow Colton's Bachelor Contestants on Social Media
Colton won fans' hearts on Becca's season of The Bachelorette, and now he's back to find love of his own. While he and Tia connected on Bachelor in Paradise last summer, they weren't the ones for each other in the end. But Colton hasn't given up on love, and he hasn't given up on The Bachelor franchise, either. Colton may have jumped over a fence during Bachelor filming at one point, but that doesn't mean he hasn't found love with one of these lucky ladies. Click through to see where you can follow the women on Twitter and Instagram - just don't be surprised if you see them posting sponsored content once the season heats up. It is a Bachelor Nation tradition, after all.
7 Things to Know About Alex D. - Aka the Sloth - From The Bachelor
In recent seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, fans have come to expect jokey job titles and even wacky costumes from the contestants. And this year, it looks like Alex Dillon from Boston is taking the costume initiative. Alex listed her occupation as "sloth," and she chose to wear a sloth costume the first time she met Colton. But who is the Massachusetts native when she isn't goofing off?
When she's not impersonating slow-moving animals, Alex seems to be living a pretty typical 20-something life. Her Instagram feed is filled with photos of her and her friends, as well as photos of some of her hobbies - she's quite a skilled painter. Here's what you should know about this Bachelor contestant.
Black Panther's Cast Should Get an Award For Being the Damn Cutest at the Golden Globes
Black Panther dominated 2018, so it only makes sense that the cast would start 2019 off right by hitting the Golden Globes red carpet looking to-die-for.
Stars like Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, and Michael B. Jordan linked up with the Golden Globe-nominated film's director, Ryan Coogler, for some group photos on the carpet that are so gorgeous, they're honestly hard to directly look at with human eyeballs. Nevertheless, I continued gazing upon the beautiful cast, finding it hard to tear myself away from Gurira's shimmering gown (in a shade of Dora Milaje-approved red, naturally) and Nyong'o's fringed ensemble. (Jordan and Coogler don't look too shabby, either.)
Later on the cast joined star Chadwick Boseman on stage to present a few awards, where they were sure to do the Wakandan salute, and they ended the night at the InStyle and Warner Bros. afterparty. Take a deep breath, sit down, and check out the best photos of the Black Panther cast at the 2019 Golden Globes, ahead!
A TV Version of Action-Thriller Hanna Is Coming to Amazon - Watch the First 2 Teasers
If you thought the brief Game of Thrones footage that HBO shared during the Golden Globes telecast was the only exciting look at a new TV show premiering this year, think again. Amazon released not one but two exciting, albeit mysterious, teasers for Hanna, the streaming giant's new action-thriller series.
Based on Joe Wright's 2011 film starring Saoirse Ronan, the series sees Esme Creed-Miles taking over the title role as a dangerous, highly trained teenage assassin being hunted by a FBI agent. The show was created by one of the film's original writers, David Farr, who also penned AMC's lauded spy series The Night Manager.
Find out more about Hanna before the show hits Amazon in March, and watch the first two teasers for the series, ahead.
Deleting People Off of Social Media Made Me a Happier Person, and I'm Not Sorry About It
It started with an Instagram of a blogger. She wasn't doing anything particularly irritating or awful, but I just felt unhappy when I looked at the photo. I couldn't even tell you what exactly the picture was or what the caption said, but I just remember the feeling that came over me: annoyance, unhappiness, and discontent.
It happened again just a few weeks later with a photo of a girl from college that I remember as not being very nice. I decided then and there that I'd had enough. "I don't need to follow these people on social media. Why am I flooding my life with people that make me unhappy?" I unfollowed her. The world didn't end. She probably wouldn't even care. No one called me out for cutting off a needless form of communication with someone I didn't actually even like. I went back to the blogger's page and unfollowed her, too.
So began my mission to rid my social media platforms of people who didn't make me happy. That boy I'd dated for a few months? Gone. Girls who were just outright nasty to my friends and I in college? See ya! Fitness models who made me feel less than adequate in my own skin? Over it.
Social media doesn't have to be the toxic place everyone says it is, but you have to be willing to make the first move to make it that way.
Working as a social media strategist, it's hard to do a digital detox or just give up all social media platforms, but it also didn't need to make me unhappy whenever I was on it throughout the day. Plus, I actually really like social media when it's a healthy space for me. So instead of the extreme choice of giving it all up, I decided I'd fill my feed with the people and things that made me the happiest and didn't send my mood into a tailspin. I followed the people I'm actually still friends with, my family, my fitness instructors who inspire me, bloggers who post stunning photos, and meme accounts that make me laugh out loud.
Being selective about the people you surround yourself with is important for your health and self-care, and that extends far beyond who is in your friend group. For so long I let a fear of being accepted and liked control who I should follow and interact with. That pit in my stomach when I thought of unfollowing someone I didn't care for as a person was what kept me from purging my feed - all because I thought it would be awkward if they knew I unfollowed them or if they (gasp!) unfollowed me back. When I realized how much better I felt when I didn't see that blogger post a video that made me roll my eyes or a picture of my ex that brought me to tears, I knew I had made the right decision.
Now, my feed fills me with joy when I see my friends post about their vacations, my family with their partners, bloggers whose outfits I draw inspiration from, and fitness accounts that motivate me instead of beat me down. Social media doesn't have to be the toxic place everyone says it is, but you have to be willing to make the first move to make it that way.

Coolest Newlyweds EVER Skied Down the Slopes Right After Saying "I Do"
Most newlyweds share a first dance after exchanging vows, but Bec and Dan replaced the tradition with their first ski as husband and wife. The bride knew she wanted to ski in her wedding gown, so when Dan popped the question, they immediately began looking for the perfect ski resort to host their alpine wedding. They decided on Mayrhofen in Austria, which allowed them to have a mountaintop ceremony and ski down the slope straight from their venue. These two definitely take the coolest couple award.
