I Hate Wearing Jeans on the Plane, and This $52 Tracksuit Is Perfect For Traveling
Is there really anything worse than being stuck on a plane for hours, sweating in too-tight jeans? In case you can't tell, I've learned from experience; it's not my favorite thing. Nothing Can Top the Look on This Groom's Face When He First Sees His Christmas Bride
Christmastime is a wonderful time. With the heavenly white snow, beautifully decorated trees, and glimmering lights, it's hard not to fall in love with the whole season. Aside from the beauty of the season, this bride wanted to incorporate some fun into her big day, and that wasn't complete without a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer mask. Besides the hysterical first look from the groom, the wedding dazzled with holiday cheer. The venue was decorated with at least five Christmas trees and about a hundred strands of twinkling lights, and it even featured a choir made up of bridesmaids. The photographer, Rachel Whitehurst, had this to say about the happy couple:
"When I think of a Christmas wedding, this is what I dream of. Liz and Pat are two of the most fun humans I have ever met, and their wedding was one I will never forget. Deep red curtains, sparkling gold lights, the smell of pine, and a warm wooden ceiling made the venue feel both cozy and otherworldly. It was full of goofiness (literally . . . their recessional song was 'Eye to Eye' from A Goofy Movie), but also felt magical - like that feeling I remember from childhood laying beneath the ornamented tree on Christmas Eve."

When you get your first tattoo, you're eager to share it with the world, but it won't look quite how you imagined at the beginning and will scab over. Tattoo artist Michelle Santana from celebrity-favorite parlor Bang Bang Tattoo said this is when most first-timers tend to get concerned.
"My most common freak out with customers is when they get home and see blood or ink smudging under the bandage," she explained. This is totally normal, and you won't see what your ink will really look like for several months after you get it done. "After about two to three weeks the tattoo will be healed enough to have an idea of how the tattoo will end up looking, and the following months the ink will settle in to the skin," said Santana. The best thing you can do while patiently waiting for it to heal is to keep the area clean and lightly moisturized.

This New Foundation Covered Up My Dark Spots Better Than My Concealer
Writing about the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation ($56) is surprisingly difficult. It isn't because there isn't anything to discuss. Rather, I only have one shot to show you how truly transformative it was for my complexion.
I tested the foundation for two weeks. When I first I got my hands on it, I dispensed one quarter-sized dollop onto the back of my hand, picked it up with my makeup sponge, and quickly swept it across my face. In seconds, my complexion was completely rid of the redness, dark spots, and broken capillaries that were plaguing my tired face. The first thing I noticed was that you have to act fast when you're applying this foundation, as it sets quickly once it lands on your skin. The next, and most important, thing I noticed was that it took after its predecessor - the full-coverage, creamy Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick ($45) - which was damn good at covering up blemishes without ever getting cake-y. This foundation did the same thing, except with a lightweight liquid texture that dries up to feel like there is absolutely nothing on.
I have many favorites when it comes to what I use to cover up my blemishes and am often swapping them out (I'm a beauty editor, after all), but if I meet a product that can give me the complexion I want in one step, I become wildly dedicated to it. Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation will remain in my rotation forever and ever, or at least, until brand finds a way to top it. That's going to be a challenge.
The Bella Twins Are Throwing Down With Their New Bodycare Line
You might know Nikki and Brie Bella as the WWE wrestler tag team, or from their reality show Total Bellas, but now they're venturing into the beauty space. The pair's new beauty line, called Nicole + Brizee, was inspired by their grandmother, who taught them the importance of looking after their skin. "Always put lotion on after showers, wash your face at night, never forget to wear your sunscreen and of course as Bellas, always wear your rouge and perfume when you walk out the door," the brand's website explained.
So far the collection has two products, the Empower Body Lotion ($15) and the Fearless Body Shimmer ($16). Both lotions are described as aromatic, moisturizing, and lightweight, while the body shimmer instructs to let it dry before you get dressed. Demi Lovato has a lot to be thankful for these days. The singer recently celebrated six months of sobriety and is nominated for a Grammy for her collaboration with Christina Aguilera. The bridesmaid photo actually reveals an interesting beauty change for Lovato. As it turns out, she got her brows microbladed around the holidays. Microblading artist Haley Buckner-Zazueta, based in Long Beach, California, posted the same selfie, featuring her microblading, that showed up in Lovato's feed. Buckner-Zazueta has a devoted following on Instagram and is a top artist in Southern California, with clients flying in from as far as Sweden to get their brows done by her; another notable client of hers is Mary J. Blige.
"I do a microblading and shading technique with a hand tool, so that it keeps (the brows) as soft as possible," she said. Prior to microblading, she was a makeup artist in Hollywood for 12 years.

Only Angelina Jolie would get her hands on a production deal for a children's show but make it about current affairs. She has done vital humanitarian work for years, and as a mom, providing valuable information to young people is important to her. The actress is collaborating with BBC Learning and Microsoft Education on a global English-language television program for an adolescent audience. Angelina is the executive producer, and the show's purpose is to "help children have access to impartial information of the highest editorial standard and bring a deeper understanding of the different issues their peers face in other parts of the world," according to a press release.
"The initiative will help give students ages 7-14 the knowledge, tools, and critical thinking skills required to understand, evaluate, and contextualize news, and also encourage them to be effective citizen journalists who can accurately report on the world around them," the statement continued. While the initial launch will be in English, the team plans to expand the show to multiple languages.
Angelina added, "All of us who have come together on this project feel a great responsibility towards young people. We want to make sure that we are able to put forward a news program that helps to give them a broad view of the world they live in and the issues they face, and that helps connect them to other children around the world." The series is still untitled, but it will be a weekly 30-minute program with 10 episodes to start. Sounds like we could all learn a thing or two from this educational project.

This Mom's Terrifying Warning About Corded Blinds Should Be Required Reading For Parents
Arika Hernandez, a mom from Utah, recently took to Facebook to share an important PSA with parents: get rid of your corded blinds, period. In a terrifying post, she detailed how her 3-year-old son Kai got seriously injured by a cord after he climbed on a bunk bed and it became wrapped around his neck.
"I have gone back and forth about posting this or not posting this but I believe if this post saves one child's life it's worth being vulnerable," she wrote. "Our sweet 3-year-old boy is a survivor. On January 7th our son climbed up to the top bunk bed and wrapped the blind cords around his neck. He then began to walk down the ladder. As the cords tightened, he panicked and tried to yell for mom and dad, but nothing came out."
After a few moments of desperately trying to free himself, the cord finally gave way.
"He scratched at the cords to loosen them, but all he could grab was skin," said Arika. "At the last attempt to get free, he jumped to come get us and that very jump saved his life! The cord snapped and freed him! We heard a loud thud (his jump) and then his loud scream! This was not just any scream - it is one I have never heard in my life and it will forever be ringing in my ears."

Arika and her husband immediately took Kai to the hospital. And while they're relieved that he's OK, they know how lucky their son was.
"We took him to get checked out in the ER and they were very concerned and shocked," she said. "These blind cords are not meant to break. We are counting our blessings! God has big plans for our little boy, it was not his time to go. Please please please take my message and take action now!"
In an effort to raise awareness about this household danger, Arika hammered home how hazardous corded blinds are, regardless of whether your kids can reach them or not.
"NO CORDED BLINDS ARE SAFE! They now sell cordless blinds and they are worth every penny," she said. "Even if you cut the cords once the blinds are lifted up it creates a hazard. The cords can not be cut short to make them safer . . . there are still inner cords and if the cord is pulled so the blinds go all the way up, that pull cord will then be long enough to make a loop and strangle a child . . . These accidents can be prevented."
She continued: "You can never be too safe in your own home. This is something I didn't think my kids would do because I am constantly nagging them about not putting things around their neck. Kids will be kids and they explore. My son told me he was making a necklace and that's why it was around his neck . . . Most importantly hug the people that mean the most to you. Be grateful you have another beautiful day with them."

Just like his character in Netflix's Ozark, Jason Bateman is constantly working hard for the sake of his wife and two kids - though in real life, things are likely a lot less risky and out-of-control than they are for his character, Marty Byrde, who launders money for a Mexican drug cartel. However, the actor, who won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series at the 2019 SAG Awards, says that because he's out of town working so much, his wife, Amanda Anka, is not only a great mom, but basically a "full-time dad" as well.
"[My family is] used to me working weird hours or not being in town a lot," he said to reporters in the SAG press room on Jan. 27. "My wife keeps me really grounded by doing nothing other than just being her. She's got a full-time career herself, and she's able to be an incredible mom, and she's also almost a full-time dad too because I'm out of town so much. I'm floored by that. That keeps me grounded. That reminds me that I've got a real strong example to kind of live up to what she's showing. That keeps me from taking any of this for granted or just doing it half-assed."

There are Harry Potter birthday cakes, and then there are Harry Potter birthday cake masterpieces. Baker Cindy Sauvage, who designs immaculate confections for Madl Creations in Belgium, created the latter for a themed children's birthday party, and . . . Merlin's beard! This is something J.K. Rowling herself couldn't have even imagined!
The multi-tiered cake includes a detailed storefront from Diagon Alley, a to-scale golden snitch, a textured nod to the classic Gryffindor scarf, a smattering of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, and – as if that weren't incredible enough – a working music box that plays the film's famous score! And from a structural standpoint, it's unclear how this cake is even standing with a giant Hogwarts-bound train tunnel running through the middle. (Must be magic.)

When I grow up, I only hope to be as resourceful as This Is Us star Mackenzie Hancsicsak, who spent Sunday night's SAG Awards ceremony selling Girl Scout Cookies to her fellow actors. While many celebs spent the night chit-chatting with their costars and gearing up for their acceptance speeches, the 10-year-old actress, who plays young Kate Pearson on the NBC drama, took full advantage of the opportunity at hand and came through for anyone who may have been lacking on Thin Mints and Trefoils. "If anyone at @SAGawards wants some @girlscouts cookies, I'm at table 34!" she tweeted alongside a photo of herself holding up a box of Samoas with her costar Parker Bates.

This Boss' Response to an Employee's Pumping Request Should Be the Gold Effing Standard
Working moms often dread one email more than any others - it's the one they have to send to their supervisors when they are heading back to their jobs after an always-feels-too-short maternity leave.
Why? Because that email is often peppered with requests that might go unfulfilled - whether it's a desperate plea for unexpected job flexibility, a request for different hours to fit with childcare constraints, or the need for a clean, private space in which to pump breastmilk several times per workday.
A Reddit user recently emailed her manager about her forthcoming return to work and her plan to pump, and his response was pitch-perfect.

"Whatever you need to do to be successful here, I am supportive," he wrote back before giving a helpful suggestion that she put her pumping sessions in the office's calendar so that no one can inadvertently schedule anything that conflicts.
His final remark was the reminder all employers - aside from, perhaps, heart surgeons! - need to remember:
"Nothing here is so crucial that you should not take care of yourself, so please let me know if there's anything else that we need to discuss."
This simple email is a great example for all managers and a reminder that although many companies - particularly small, fledgling ones - can't always move mountains to make life easier on new moms, employers can still be understanding, supportive, and resourceful.
