Annette Bening's Mysterious Role in Captain Marvel Has Been Revealed - Here's What You Should Know
After months of speculation, we finally have a better idea of what Annette Bening's character in Captain Marvel, Supreme Intelligence, is all about.
Now that the March 8 premiere of the '90s-set superhero film is nearly here and rumors about her character are at an all-time high, Bening finally opened up about her role opposite Brie Larson's Carol Danvers (aka the titular Captain Marvel) while chatting with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night, as well as showing off a clip of Supreme Intelligence in action. According to the 20th Century Women actress, the character is "a god-like entity" who was originally a supercomputer in the comics but now has a human counterpart.
"[She's] the leader of the Kree people, the artificial intelligence which consists of the greatest intellects of the Kree people for the last million years," she explained, before introducing the clip featuring her debriefing Captain Marvel about fighting the Skrulls. "She's about to go into battle, and I am preparing her."
The Kree are an alien race, of which Supreme Intelligence and Captain Marvel are both members, as well as Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Korath (Djimon Hounsou). The Skrulls are their enemies who have the ability to shapeshift in order to infiltrate planets by looking exactly like their inhabitants, then taking over without anyone realizing. In the film, the Skrulls are led by villain Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who appears in both his human form and in some intense pale green prosthetics.
Still perplexed? Don't worry - according to Bening, "When the movie comes out, it'll be clear why it was somewhat confusing."
So, Here's the Thing: Disney Is Selling a Mickey Burger That's Topped With 2 Sliders
Disney is currently offering a three-pronged burger in the shape of Mickey Mouse - really, would you expect a regular-old burger with all the usual fixings? As part of the Get Your Ears On celebration taking place this Spring at Disneyland, Smokejumpers Grill - technically located in Disney California Adventure - introduced the Share Your Ears Cheeseburger, which is a third-pound burger that is then topped with two sliders.
While the menu addition is truly over the top, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given that Walt Disney World recently gave us a beignet cheeseburger. (Yes, that's a patty between two beignet "buns" - precisely.) The Share Your Ears Cheeseburger will be available through May, or while supplies last, for $15. See pictures of the crazy creation ahead.
Frankly, These Impressions of Lady Gaga and Glenn Close on SNL Are the Best I've Ever Seen
A few of this year's Oscar nominees stopped by Saturday Night Live's Feb. 16 episode of Celebrity Family Feud to compete a week ahead of the big show. And by "Oscar nominees," of course we mean the SNL cast dressed up as the contenders. In this episode, Hollywood stars Lady Gaga (Melissa Villaseñor), Bradley Cooper (Kyle Mooney), Spike Lee (Don Cheadle), Glenn Close (Kate McKinnon), Sam Elliott (Beck Bennett), Olivia Colman (Cecily Strong), Rami Malek (Pete Davidson), and Mahershala Ali (Chris Redd) compete for the prize.
While all of the impressions were pretty spot-on, one of the best ones had to be Villaseñor as Lady Gaga. We already knew she could play a perfect Gaga based on her appearance in the Feb. 9 episode, but her most recent portrayal of Mother Monster is the quality content we deserve. And when she reveals what makes her "feel sexy," things take a bit of a wild turn. Watch her - and McKinnon's hilariously dramatic depiction of Close - in the clip above!

The Staff at a Pediatrician's Office Wore Cheeky Pro-Vaccine Shirts, and We Are SO on Board
The staff at Legacy Pediatrics in Rochester, NY, is making its stance on vaccines known after a recent measles outbreak has been threatening the area. Recently, the healthcare provider shared a photo on Facebook showing its entire staff clad in Vaccines Cause Adults T-Shirts ($12). Legacy Pediatrics captioned the photo, "Vaccines. Save. Lives." - and there's absolutely no arguing with that statement.
Dr. Janet Casey, the owner of Legacy Pediatrics, told ABC 13 WHAM that spreading vaccine awareness is important. "Kids are getting sick from vaccine-preventable illnesses, which shouldn't happen in 2019," she said. "One of the things that are so important for pediatricians and other healthcare givers is to get out there and make it as loud a message as possible that vaccines save lives."
Legacy Pediatrics placed the shirt order with Once Crazy Dog T-Shirts, but once the company realized what Legacy Pediatrics' plans were, the brand printed the t-shirts for free. And ever since posting the photo to social media, the office has gotten some serious attention, both good and bad.
"The whole staff wore the shirts and they were incredibly popular," said Crazy Dog T-Shirts owner Bill Kingston. "Dr. Janet Casey called me and told me everyone wants these t-shirts. They're great. We put our heads together and thought maybe this can be a voice for the people on the vaccination side."
Although Legacy Pediatrics has been receiving some less-than-pleasant feedback from anti-vaxx groups, it plans to sell the t-shirts in the office and donate the proceeds to charity. Talk about a win-win!
Yes, Taron Egerton Is Really Singing in Rocketman, and He Sounds Phenomenal
Biopics are all the rage right now, and the latest to enter the fray is Rocketman. The Elton John retrospective stars Taron Egerton and chronicles the legendary icon's meteoric rise to stardom. Even when the first teaser rolled around in the Fall of 2018, it was clear that Egerton had positively nailed his performance. The real question, though, was how much help did he have along the way? Is he actually singing and playing piano, or is it some special smoke-and-mirrors Hollywood magic that helps bring everything together? Well, thanks to a new mini featurette, we have at least a partial answer: that's his actual voice after all.
The clip in question shows Egerton singing one of John's most popular songs ever: "Tiny Dancer." Giles Martin, the music producer on the film, said he got John's seal of approval: "Elton said, 'I don't think I've ever heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron.'" Director Dexter Fletcher echoed the sentiments about the young actor. "Taron is actually singing in the film," he said, "and he's so convincing and his voice is incredible." OK, now we're really excited to see him pull off this epic role. Rocketman hits theaters May 31.
Reba McEntire Was Almost Cast in Titanic and Had a Very Heartfelt Reason For Passing on the Role
Even though Titanic was released over two decades ago, we've been able to glean fun behind-the-scenes details to this day; you know, like Matthew McConaughey auditioning to play Jack, and the fact that Celine Dion actually hated "My Heart Will Go On." Most recently, it was revealed that the character of American socialite and philanthropist "Unsinkable" Molly Brown - expertly portrayed by Kathy Bates - was originally offered to the one and only Reba McEntire! During a trivia game on Watch What Happens Live this week, the country music legend admitted that she was considered for the iconic role but had to turn it down due to prior touring commitments.
"We were on tour and I had a lot of people on the payroll, and we had these three months already scheduled to do the movie and then they got behind on scheduling," McEntire said. When asked if she regretted the decision after Titanic's massive success, she replied, "Well, sure. Absolutely. But you gotta take care of your people." Isn't she the greatest? Watch her confession above now, then check out more things you never knew about Titanic.
Late Night TV Blessed Us With Not One, but TWO Hilarious Green Book Parodies
If, by some miracle, you 1.) haven't seen Green Book, or 2.) have seen it (unfortunately), but missed the myriad of controversies surrounding the film, never fear: late night TV has you covered. On Thursday, both NBC's Late Night With Seth Meyers and Showtime's Desus & Mero served up some hilarious, biting parodies of the Oscar-nominated movie (very loosely) based on a true story, starring Viggo Mortensen as gruff New York bouncer Tony Lip and Mahershala Ali as Jamaican-American world-class pianist Don Shirley.
In Meyers's sketch, he and Amber Ruffin star in "White Savior: it's got all the things white people love in a movie about racism, like that scene where they're in a bar and the white person sticks up for the black person." In addition to parodying the obnoxious white savior tropes in Green Book, it also skewers films like The Help and Hidden Figures. As for comedy duo Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, they served up The Greenest Book, which is "the story of a white man who had the courage to know a black person."
Both are excellent and worthy of a watch, so check them out, ahead.
Here Are 8 Stretches to Lengthen Your Tight Calves
You work your calves with every step you take - walking and running. These muscles are the unsung heroes that work in almost every standing leg exercise you do, from squats to lunges to side skaters. When they are tight, you feel it! If you wear heels regularly, the tightness can be even worse. If your calves become chronically tight, it can mess with your gait, and that can lead to overuse injuries in your feet, ankles, and knees. So do yourself a favor: start stretching your calves. Here are eight ways to lengthen and loosen your calves.
Epcot's New Play Area Invites Guests to Chill With the Characters - Sign Us Up!
Big things are going down at Epcot. Guests will be immersed in an interactive metropolis where games, activities, and Disney characters are everywhere. The space doesn't have a name yet, but for those who know Epcot well, it's taking over the area previously known as Wonders of Life (more recently the Festival Center). It looks like from the moment you step inside, you're part of a cartoon of sorts.
"This innovative, new pavilion is beyond anything we've ever created and is completely unique to Epcot," said Zach Riddley, portfolio executive, Walt Disney Imagineering in a press release. "Built on the power of play, it introduces an immersive and interactive 'city' where you can explore, create and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters."
Expect it to open in time for the Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary. I don't know about you, but just glancing at these artist renderings of the space make me want to get the family packed.

This Beauty Blogger's Dad Did Her Makeup, and LOL, the Eyeliner Was the Biggest Struggle
Beauty blogger and model Jasmine Brown has over two million subscribers YouTube, so it's safe to say her dad might know a little about makeup if he's ever watched any of her videos. Looks like he has in fact learned a thing or two, because Brown made a video of her dad doing her makeup and he's . . . pretty good, actually.
Sure, there were a few hiccups along the way - if only all men understood the struggle of applying eyeliner - but he definitely knew about blending, contouring, and eye shadow. "I need to make those eyes pop," he said as he applied a surprisingly well-done swipe of blue shadow. As for the ending? Well, things take a comedic turn, and there's a "beard" involved. The video is from 2017, but it's still a fun (and sweet) one to watch.

Here's How a Pair of Globetrotters Added Some Wanderlust Into Their Outdoor Wedding
When Mike and Kim decided to tie the knot, they wanted the ceremony to be centered around something they both enjoy: traveling! Since the beginning of their relationship, they have been exploring new places all over the globe by making sure to visit a new country every year. It started with their wedding invitations, which resembled passports, complete with stamps from the seven countries they had visited together. There were many more charming touches to the wedding that incorporated the travel theme, from seat assignments that looked like plane tickets to globes used in the decor. They even displayed some souvenirs from their trips and treated their guests to a trunk of their favorite things from all over the world.
The wedding took place at Vineland Estates Winery in Canada, which is fitting for a couple that likes the outdoors. "Since we wanted our wedding to be intimate and romantic, with only close friends and families, we decided to go with a rustic wedding style in a winery setting (it is simple but elegant)," Mike said. "We like the outdoors a lot, and we really appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature, so we wanted our decor to be as natural as possible."

The Mountain Setting of This Engagement Shoot Is Gorgeous, but the Bride's Red Dress Is the Real Showstopper
Whoever said, "You don't need to break the bank to look like a million bucks," was onto something, especially when it comes to the struggle to find affordable dresses to wear on and leading up to your big day. In this stunning styled engagement shoot, the bride brings the wow factor with an elegant red mermaid-cut gown with lace and beaded detailing - and you won't believe how accessible this scarlet showstopper is.
If you're wondering which high-end designer is behind this look, prepare to pick up your jaw from the floor, because this is actually a prom dress from Amazon that only costs around $100.
"Brides want to dress up, but they're already spending so much on their wedding that they can't justify buying a new gown," said photographer Amy Maddox, who styled the session. "But their engagements are a big deal, and they want to dress up and really make this a special occasion. And they should!"
Maddox loans tulle skirts and beaded gowns to couples she's photographing from a collection her studio keeps on hand, but this Amazon dress is so reasonably priced for the ultraglam vibe it will bring to your engagement pictures, it's worth it.
This engagement shoot took place at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area in Fredericksburg, TX, and the rustic, rocky backdrop was a perfect contrast to the red gown and resulted in some truly breathtaking photos. See them all now!

As a Muslim Woman in Trump’s America, I’m Afraid - but I Won’t Be Silenced
With March 6 looming, we approach two years since Trump's second attempt to bar Muslims from the United States. Since Trump's ban, the fear among many Muslim-American women who, like me, wear hijab has only escalated. This ban, which bars individuals from eight predominantly Muslim countries from traveling to the US to see their families, seek education, or get medical treatment, is a clear attack on Muslims with no basis besides discrimination. And, unfortunately, it only emboldens that same bigotry at home: in Trump's America, "acting Muslim" is more dangerous than ever.
The United States may proclaim religious freedom for all, but today, people are in fear of their safety just because of the color of their skin, what language they speak, or what religion they choose to follow. The simple fact that Muslim-Americans reported being afraid to leave their homes in a hijab after Trump was elected was an alarming beginning to his presidency. Since then, Trump has reinforced an anti-Muslim climate in rhetoric and policy, with the Muslim ban bolstering his outright hatred alongside a 16 percent increase in anti-Muslim incidents against women wearing hijab.
Trump's vitriol does not deter me from continuing to wear the hijab.
Anti-Muslim rhetoric isn't new, of course, but hearing it directly from our elected president certainly is. I am reminded of an interaction I had with former President Obama when I was invited for dinner during his last term at the White House. Social entrepreneurs along with foreign dignitaries were all invited; only a select few had the honor of attending. As President Obama extended his hand to shake mine, I politely refused by moving my hand to my chest. Jaws dropped in disbelief and shock.
"While I would shake your hand, Mr. President, as a Muslim - similar to the Orthodox Jewish tradition - I cannot have physical contact with men," I gently explained.
"No problem at all," President Obama replied, smiling understandingly.
While honored to be among the select few to have the privilege to spend time with and learn from the boldest change-makers in the country, I could not sacrifice my values and principles as a Muslim woman. If President Obama can cordially greet me without the customary handshake and still have a civil conversation, why can't all Americans? Why has it taken 181 years to allow for head coverings on the House floor? Proper hijab needs to be normalized - not feared or ridiculed. Today, more than ever.
If being visibly Muslim is more dangerous than ever, the wearing of hijab has become an act of resistance in the Trump era.
To be a Muslim entails complete submission to the will of God and thus, I willingly don the "hijab" or veil. Personally, I believe the hijab is a mandate of Islam and therefore compulsory for Muslim women as decreed by Allah (God) in the Quran, and I have always been proud in my submission to wear it. But now, I do so knowing some people are emboldened by today's anti-Muslim climate. With the Muslim Ban enacted, roughly half of Muslim-American women say they've experienced discrimination in the last year. For example, despite having TSA-precheck approval, there is agitation when I travel. Snide remarks and cold glances from officers persist. I have had my scarf felt up and asked what I have underneath, when it was very clear that it was merely the shape of of my hair in a bun. I have to be more cautious than ever to handle "random" checks, and I am fearful of traveling alone - and avoid it if I can.
Trump's vitriol does not deter me from continuing to wear the hijab. In fact, I've become more mindful. For me, the hijab is more than a piece of cloth. It reminds me that my speech, mannerisms, and conduct all come under the guise of modesty as ordained by God. Being able to decide what others see of me physically is spiritually and socially liberating. I would much rather be judged for my intellect instead of my looks.
My attire may not be considered mainstream, but it doesn't make me any less American.
And yes, my attire may not be considered mainstream, but it doesn't make me any less American. And it should never rob me of the dignity and respect every person deserves, let alone cost me my safety. For me, Islam is sufficient as both a guide and a source of freedom. I am often misunderstood and considered foreign simply due to my attire and will get asked where I am "really from" despite my impeccable English. In the age of selfies and excessive exposure, I am not here to conform to society's norms, what society deems "right," but rather what I am supposed to adhere to. This is a freedom I have always understood to be one America aspires to offer all of its people.
Two years ago, Trump began his presidency by ordering his anti-Muslim travel ban, wreaking havoc both abroad and here at home. But let us never forget that the American people responded by flooding airports, standing with their Muslim neighbors in a show of solidarity and resistance. Given our current leader's anti-Muslim stance, two years later, each of us must work especially hard to welcome the hijab and encourage those who choose to uphold it regardless of the Muslim ban. Let us embrace hijabis and encourage them.

Women Have Always Had to Step Aside - Why Can't We Ask Male Politicians to Do the Same?
There's a lot at stake in the 2020 presidential election - and who knows this better than American women, who are so often targeted by the Trump administration?
In no small part, that's why women like Senators Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Amy Klobuchar are dominating the Democratic field, bringing a litany of new, progressive ideas to the race and energizing women who are excited to finally see ourselves represented.
All women, at some point in our lives, are forced to step aside - in ways big and small, in public and private life - so that men around us can consolidate power.
Many American women, who comprise a key Democratic voting bloc, are determined to vote for the Democratic presidential nominee, whoever it may be. But in light of this early, unprecedentedly female-dominated field, our determination to support the nominee and remove Donald Trump from office hasn't stopped many women from being hopeful that white, male Democratic politicians might step aside from the 2020 race, and instead support one of the progressive-leaning women and minority presidential candidates.
Then, on Feb. 19, 2016 presidential hopeful and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders joined the Democratic field and announced his presidential campaign, subsequently raising $6 million in just 24 hours. But not everyone was necessarily excited by his campaign, which was notably announced just one day after Massachusetts Sen. Warren announced her plan for universal child care. Warren introduced her plan by first sharing a personal story of how she'd nearly been forced to drop out of law school because she couldn't afford child care but was ultimately able to stay in school with the help of her extended family.
Her personal anecdote elucidates a critical, everyday reality: "Stepping aside," as Warren was almost forced to in law school, isn't always about electoral politics. Instead, being actively or passively told to "step aside" is a message that women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other marginalized groups hear in myriad ways throughout their lives. It's a message Sanders certainly sent to Warren and the rest of the women seizing their moment in the 2020 primary when he chose to run yet again.
Many women have recently called on men like Sanders - and other potential white, male Democratic candidates like Beto O'Rourke or Joe Biden - to move over and allow women and minority candidates to shine at this salient moment for marginalized people in American politics; to give us space to, for once, represent our own experiences. The fact that white men do not fully understand misogyny and identity-based oppression (which they don't) isn't necessarily the problem; the problem is men and male politicians erasing women's voices by speaking for us, and pushing us aside to do so. In their refusal to step aside, they deny us crucial opportunities for leadership and self-determination, just so they can seek more dominance and influence in a culture that already grants them more than their fair share.
All women at some point in our lives are forced to step aside - in ways big and small, in public and private life - so that men around us can consolidate power. The power dynamics of being asked to do this, or to "wait our turn," take form in countless everyday experiences. We see this reflected in the unsaid numbers of women who have to drop out of school, quit jobs, give up doing what they love, or put aside work that could potentially change the world because they can't afford child care. Or because the career of their male partner takes precedence. Or because they are pushed out of jobs - even entire fields and industries - by some men's misogyny, harassment, and abuse and the toxic silence and complicity of others.
Sanders himself responded to the 2017 release of [Hillary Clinton's] book by insisting that we move on.
Since Hillary Clinton's 2016 loss to Trump, her public statements and speeches have been met with varying levels of chiding and outrage from leading Democrats and Republicans alike, all essentially insisting her time has passed, and she must now step aside. Sanders himself responded to the 2017 release of her book by insisting that we move on.
"Secretary Clinton ran against the most unpopular candidate in the history of this country, and she lost. She was upset about that, I understand," he said. "But our job now is really not to go backwards. It is to go forward."
Clinton was the first woman in US history to win the popular vote. She won the Democratic primary over Sanders. And prior to the 2016 election, Clinton had dedicated more than four decades of her life to public service and civil rights advocacy. Still, she faced ceaseless, aggressive demands that she "step aside" for the next Democratic star. And in light of ongoing criticisms that the Democratic Party exploited "identity politics" in supporting her, a woman, "next Democratic star" is likely coded language for "charismatic white man."
It's notable that, despite Sanders's loss in 2016, he has faced far less pushback for running for president again than Clinton did simply for publishing a book about her campaign. Often, Sanders has not just benefited from but explicitly perpetuated sexism in a variety of ways, including one episode in which he dismissively spoke about female staffers' allegations of being sexually harassed on his previous presidential campaign. From out-of-touch comments insinuating gender or marginalized status somehow advantages candidates, to criticisms of "identity politics" and defenses of anti-choice Democrats, to doing little to address the misogyny so rampant in his base, his dismissive treatment of Clinton and other female candidates through his choice to run is not an anomaly.
The bipartisan devotion to silencing Clinton and Sanders's persistent blind spots around issues of sexism and identity are just part of a greater trend both within and outside of American politics. As women, we give up so much just by nature of living in a patriarchal society that prioritizes male ambition and so often relegates the careers, goals, and leadership of women to collateral damage.
Yet, when some of us merely ask powerful white men to step back rather than seek even more power at this particularly fraught political moment for women and marginalized Americans, this is perceived as an attack. Rather than engage in self-reflection and consider using their power to support just as qualified, just as competent female candidates, male politicians like Sanders remain insistent that they know best, that they are the best to speak for us, that this is their power to take. And in doing so, they ask us once again to step aside.
The Unexpected Red Flag That Meant My Partner Was Cheating on Me
One of the most painful aspects of being cheated on is looking back and feeling foolish (on top of heartbroken) for not recognizing what now seem like obvious signs. I'd always heard the tell-tale signals that a guy was cheating: a new workout routine, a change in schedule, sudden secrecy around his phone or whereabouts. But for me, the biggest red flag in hindsight was one you don't hear about as much: extreme moodiness.
About six years ago I was totally, dreamily, blindingly in love with Matt. He seemed fully committed to me and never gave me any reason to doubt that. So for the first time in my life, I let myself fully relax into a relationship. There were no sneaky looks at his phone or peevish texts if he was at work happy hour too late. I'd been burned enough in the past to stay vigilant about those classic cheating signs, and I saw none. Besides, I was so sick of having to play spy instead of girlfriend. So when he went to Dallas for a bachelor party, I gave him space to be with his friends and only sent a few "Hope you guys are having fun! Make Tyler hold your hair back if you puke! ;)" texts here and there.

Matt's grouchiness was in fact resentment at me for keeping him from the girl he actually wanted to be with. And when he'd hear from her, he didn't even bother to keep that joy under wraps.
But a few days after he got back, Matt started snapping at me. It began as little things: he used to chuckle at my love of Diptyque candles, now I got a lecture about how reckless I was to spend $40 on a candle and how could we have a future together if this is how I handle money?! Uh, OK. My once-endearing habits suddenly became intolerably irritating. Honey on my avocado? "You're so weird," he sneered at me and my poor, innocent breakfast. "Sometimes it's like you do things just to be strange." I . . . what? It's a nightmare to think that your partner doesn't love you, but somehow worse to think they don't like you. And suddenly, Matt definitely didn't seem to like me. I was like some annoying kid sister he couldn't get rid of. So, out went the candles. Honey stayed in tea and off avocados. Soon I was walking on eggshells, dampening down my personality and needs because I never knew what formerly innocuous habit or trait would set him off.
But these outbursts were juxtaposed with something even stranger: gushy bursts of pure adoration. A giddiness that seemed to come out of nowhere. One minute Matt would be broodily texting like some surly teenager, the next he'd sweep me into his arms and twirl me around, like he'd just gotten the best news of his life. Well, in a way, he did.
He was getting texts from her.
All of this centered around her. Her was a girl he'd met in Dallas, a friend of a friend of someone. But it didn't matter who she was. Her was the girl who was somehow so awesome and incandescent, being with me was pure misery by comparison. Matt's grouchiness was in fact resentment at me for keeping him from the girl he actually wanted to be with. And when he'd hear from her, he didn't even bother to keep that joy under wraps. He'd perversely spewed it out . . . on me. At the time, I was grateful for any positive attention. But in hindsight, it's that sweetness that makes me the angriest, because it kept me hanging on. See, I can't break up with him, I'd think. He really does love me.
Ugh.

But of course, I didn't know any of this at the time. At one point, the flip-flopping became so extreme, I even asked his sister if Matt was dealing with a mental health issue. Silly me, he was just a good old-fashioned cheating man, one who was too cowardly to just break up with me. Instead, he preferred to terrorize me into dumping him, which I finally did.
Two weeks after I walked out, he fessed up about her. His sister guilted him into coming clean, and I was grateful for some kind of explanation, even if it broke my heart and made me seethe: how could I have missed the signs? Now, years later, I realize that the red flags of cheating can go way beyond the typical. Just as every relationship dynamic is different, so is every infidelity. So what are we supposed to do? Spend all our time psychotically analyzing every morsel of our partner's behavior? No. That's not living, nor is it loving. At some point, we have to trust: trust our partner, trust our instinct, and trust that no matter how it plays out, we will be OK on the other side!
Having a Destination Wedding? Here's How to Make Your Marriage Legal in the US
Whether you're saying "I do" in the Italian hills of Tuscany or on a beautifully sandy beach on a Caribbean island, destination weddings have the ability to add a bit more magic to an already special day. However, tying the knot outside of the US adds another layer of complication, and it's important when planning to not forget some of the details. One big one? Making your marriage legal at home before or after getting married abroad.
POPSUGAR spoke to David Reischer, Esq., attorney and CEO of LegalAdvice.com, to get his expert advice on the subject. "It's extremely complicated and not practical to get married in a foreign country and to then try to get the foreign marriage validated in the United States," explained Reischer. Thankfully, there are a few simple alternatives that couples can choose from that can make the whole process much easier. For instance, Reischer suggested couples get legally married in a US court house either before or after their destination wedding. "A couple can make their destination wedding legal at home by getting married again in the United States upon return from abroad," he continued. "The couple can also get married in the United States before the destination wedding."
However, Reischer acknowledged that the obvious disadvantage of a couple legally tying the knot before their destination wedding may be that they'll feel like they're jeopardizing the romantic aspect of their big ceremony. If you're worried about this, he advised getting legally married when you return from your destination wedding.
"Many couples decide to go to the county clerk and remarry once returning to the United States from their destination wedding," he said. "All a couple has to do is get a marriage license from the county clerk, then go to city hall or hire a legal official who is allowed to perform legal ceremonies in the city where the couple reside." By deciding on legalizing their marriage this way, couples will not have to translate foreign paperwork and there will be no need for blood tests in a foreign country. "It's extremely less complicated and cheaper to get married for a second time upon returning from a destination wedding and this is what most people do," Reischer said.
These 7 Condoms Will All Give Max Pleasure, but We've Still Ranked Them From Most to Least
Turns out, people aren't using condoms nearly as much as they should. According to a recent survey among 1,000 participants at Adam & Eve, 63 percent claimed to not regularly use condoms. What's more, only 34 percent of women and 23 percent men requested them. Yikes. This is a problem, as STIs are on the rise, and condoms help protect you from transmission. Basically, unless you're in a monogamous relationship and have both been tested or you've had the talk with a partner, you really should be using condoms every time you have sex. Just because sex is safe doesn't make it any less enjoyable! In fact, it's even more enjoyable, simply because you can end that frisky session knowing your health hasn't been compromised.
Yet, condoms get a bad reputation for being uncomfortable and blocking many of those feel-good sensations that make sex so incredible. Plus, it's not just men who complain about them but women, too, as shown in the survey in particular. Still, they're needed, and with the right education, you can find a condom that fits well and doesn't decrease those sensations one bit. Some condoms even have nifty features, like ribbed texture, flavors, and more, all of which can enhance your sexual experience. "Condoms come in different thickness, which can impact the degree of sensation a male feels, and condoms can be smooth or textured, creating different experiences for the partners," Dr. Felice Gersh, MD, an OB-GYN and author of SOS: A Gynecologist's Lifeline To Naturally Restore Your Rhythms, Hormones, and Happiness, told POPSUGAR. "Trying out different textures can be rewarding."
Here are the best condoms to use for maximum pleasure, recommended by Gersh, who added: "Having a condom that fits well is a number-one priority. If not just the right snugness, it could slip off, create too much constriction, or not provide proper contact."

Pillsbury's New Marshmallow Cookies Are 1 Drizzle of Chocolate Away From a S'more
The Pillsbury Doughboy is back at it again with his cute little laugh and more extra large cookies than our wallets can handle - this time in the form of Marshmallow Sugar Cookies! In a truly sweet post, Candy Hunting shared the news of the launch on Instagram and explained that the ready-to-bake cookies are marshmallow and sugar cookie-flavored, with little bits of actual marshmallow in every bite. With a drizzle of chocolate on top, they're basically the s'more cookie we all want (and deserve).
And that's not even the best part! While typical ready-to-make Pillsbury cookie dough is sold with 24 cookies per package, the Marshmallow Sugar Cookies will be sold at 12 cookies per package - which means they're going to be BIG. According to Best Products, the limited-edition cookies will go on sale beginning March 1 at retailers across the country, including Target, Walmart, Kroger, Wegmans, Meijer, and Hy-Vee. With little pockets of marshmallowy goodness baked right into each cookie, I can only imagine that they are going to be the perfect treat to pair with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.
