Calling All Adventurers! These Are the 5 Best Credit Cards For Travel Miles

Every traveler is different. Some like to indulge in great meals and save on hotels, while others would be willing to live on granola bars if it will get them a bed in a five-star hotel. Some would fly across the world in coach, while others would spend every penny they have to experience the Singapore Suites on Singapore Airlines. Credit cards have tons of travel benefits, and no matter your travel style, there's a card that can help you save on your next adventure. Here are this year's five best cards for those who love to travel.

1. Chase Sapphire Reserve

Don't be intimidated by the $450 annual fee on this one, because the Chase Sapphire Reserve practically pays for itself, as long as you take full advantage of its benefits. Besides the $300 annual travel credit (which can be applied towards almost any travel-related expense), you'll also earn three points per dollar on travel and dining. If you've always wanted to travel in style, this card gives you Priority Pass Select lounge access (which includes over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide), as well as a credit for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee.

Other benefits include no foreign transaction fees, trip cancellation coverage, baggage delay insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, primary car rental insurance, and the ability to redeem points directly through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal at a rate of 1.5 cents apiece. The best part: if you spend at least $4,000 within the first three months of signing up, you'll receive 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points.

2. American Express Gold

Though the American Express Gold is the best card for dining (as it earns four points per dollar at grocery stores and restaurants, as well as $10 in monthly credit when you use the Gold card at dining partners), it also has plenty of travel benefits to offer. As well as a $100 annual airline fee credit, you'll earn three points per dollar on flights booked directly with airline or Amex Travel. Though this one also has an expensive annual fee at $250, it's worth your investment if you spend $2,000 in the first three months, which earns you 35,000 Membership Rewards points.

3. The Platinum Card from American Express

Coming in third is The Platinum Card from American Express, which is the best card on the market for purchasing airfare. At $550, the annual fee is steep, but if you take advantage of everything the card has to offer, it's absolutely worth the price. With this card, you'll earn five points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or Amex Travel (as well as prepaid hotels purchased through Amex Travel), and you can transfer your Membership Rewards points earned with this card to Amex's 20 airline and hotel partners. Travel will also be made way easier (and much more luxurious) with its rebate for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee, and in addition to Priority Pass Select lounge access, this card will get you Centurion Lounge access and Delta Sky Club access when you're flying Delta.

Other benefits include a $200 annual airline rebate for incidental fees, up to $200 in annual Uber credits, a newly added $100 credit at Saks Fifth Avenue, and complimentary Hilton Honors Gold and SPG Gold status. Spend $5,000 in the first three months and you'll also get 60,000 Membership Rewards points (and earn an extra 25,000 points after you spend an additional $10,000 in the first three months).

4. Citi Prestige

Even if you don't travel frequently, the Citi Prestige more than pays for itself in its first year, despite its $450 annual fee. With this card, you'll earn five points per dollar on all air travel and restaurant spending, and three points per dollar on hotel and cruise-line bookings. Citi will reimburse you $250 annually for travel-related purchases, and you'll also get Priority Pass Select lounge access and a credit for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee. Citi understands that travel doesn't always go according to plan, so they give you up to $500 for expenses for flights delayed over six hours, as well as the same credit for baggage delayed over six hours.

The most valuable perk of the Citi Prestige, however, is the fourth-night-free benefit: Citi will pay for the fourth night of your stay at virtually any hotel when booking through ThankYou.com or the Citi Prestige Concierge. When you sign up and spend $4,000 in the first three months, you'll receive 50,000 ThankYou Rewards points, and those points can be transferred to 15 airline partners or redeemed for airfare and hotels through Citi's travel portal.

5. Chase Sapphire Preferred

If you're skeptical of an expensive annual fee, this card may be the one for you. At only $95 a year (which will be waived your first year!), the Chase Sapphire Preferred will get you two points per dollar on travel and dining, as well as the ability to transfer points to 13 different travel partners. You'll also receive primary auto rental insurance, trip cancellation coverage, and no foreign transaction fees, which will definitely come in handy during international travel. This card allows you to redeem points directly through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal at a rate of 1.25 cents apiece, and - best of all - if you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months, you'll get 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which is the same bonus as the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

This Is Exactly How to Properly Freeze Bananas

Bananas remain popular for their high potassium and fiber content and delicious taste, but they're also arguably the most troublesome fruit to keep fresh between visits to the grocer. The main thing is to avoid purchasing ones that have brown spots or bruises because they may be a sign of overripe fruit that's about to go bad. But if you've purchased too many bananas to consume before they turn, consider freezing them!

Frozen bananas can last up to four months in the feezdr and make an excellent addition to a smoothie or post-workout snack. You can also thaw the frozen fruit to make favorites like banana bread.

You can easily freeze a banana with or without the peel. Freezing the banana in the peel is simply a matter of separating your bunch of bananas, storing them in an airtight plastic bag, and placing them in the freezer. The skin of the unpeeled bananas will turn black when frozen, but the banana inside remains edible. While this seems effortless, be advised that a frozen banana out of the peel tends to last about a month longer than a banana with the skin intact. Moreover, if you choose to freeze your bananas with the skin on, you'll need to cut the frozen banana in half and thaw the pieces at room temperature (or in tepid water) before you can peel off the skin and enjoy the fruit.

We recommend you freeze bananas without the peel. To do so, you'll need a cookie sheet or freezer-safe plate, a knife, wax or parchment paper, and a freezer-safe bag that seals.

  1. Peel each banana and cut in half along the middle. You'll have two large chunks for each banana.
  2. Place a large piece of wax paper or parchment paper on a cookie sheet or freezer-safe plate. Arrange the banana pieces on top of the wax paper. This ensures that the fruit will not stick to the sheet or plate. Make sure none of the banana pieces are touching so that they do not stick together as they freeze.
  3. Store the uncovered bananas in the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes or until they're frozen solid.
  4. Once the bananas are frozen, remove the fruit from the freezer and place the pieces into a freezer-safe plastic bag. Push as much air out of the bag as you can before sealing.
  5. Mark the date on the front of your freezer bag. Place the bag in the freezer and position the bananas on the shelf so they're not crowded. This will help maintain separation. The fruit should stay fresh for three to four months. Pull out the frozen banana halves one at a time for smoothies or thaw out several chunks for use in a healthy dessert.

15 Fun and Free Things to Do Alone

We all lead such busy lives that sometimes we find ourselves at a loss about what to do when we have time to ourselves. If you're an introvert, plans getting canceled at the last minute gives you much-loved alone time, and if you're an extrovert, it creates an opportunity for you to go out and meet new people on your own. And many times, you're just treating yourself to some "me" time.

But what can you do? It's important to remember that enjoying your own company isn't sad, lonely, or boring (it's actually quite the opposite!), and it definitely doesn't mean you have to spend money in order to keep yourself occupied. From working up a sweat to writing down your thoughts, keep reading for 15 really nice things you can do alone that won't cost you a dime.

Is Ginger Beer Actually Alcoholic? Here's What You Need to Know

If you've enjoyed a moscow mule or a dark and stormy, then chances are that you've heard of ginger beer, the ideal Summer cocktail mixer for lovers of all things fermented and bubbly. But despite its popularity, most people have no idea what the heck ginger beer even is. Unlike its cousin ginger ale (a drink better known for taming upset stomachs than mixing with cocktails, though it can definitely be used for both), ginger beer has much more of a "gingery" flavor because it's naturally fermented rather than simply carbonated. It's also actually made with ginger root.

But the question remains: is ginger beer actually beer? The drink, which originated in the mid-1700s in England, was first known as an alcoholic beverage made from sugar, ginger, water, and a starter culture known as the ginger beer plant. Today, the name ginger beer is bit of a misnomer. Almost all brands (save for a few, such as Crabbie's, a popular UK brand) sell ginger beer as a soft drink, meaning it doesn't contain any alcohol. Ginger beer has never even been made with hops or grains, so alcoholic ginger beer is actually closer to a hard cider or wine because of the fermentation process and sugar levels. But fear not - if you're tired of ordering vodka sodas at the bar, there's plenty of ways to add alcohol to ginger beer and make it your new go-to mixer of choice.

4 Easy Ways to Stop Bananas From Browning

While bananas are an inexpensive fruit and perfect for a healthy, on-the-go snack, they often tend to brown shortly after you buy them. Despite the fact that my family loves them in smoothies, bread, or just by themselves, we've still thrown out far too many bananas over the years that have ripened faster than we could eat them. I cringed at the waste, so after a little research, I now have a few tricks I use to keep bananas around a little longer.

  1. Mix Up Your Bag. As a preventative measure, make sure to buy a few yellow bananas that are ready to eat as well as a few very green bananas that still need time to ripen.
  2. Block Out Light. To preserve your bananas that are already ripe, simply place a kitchen towel over the ones that you don't want to ripen anymore. By protecting the bananas from natural sunlight, it ups their shelf life by a few more days.
  3. Keep Them Separate. Another tip is to be sure that the bananas are separated from other produce. I used to rest my avocados on top of the bananas and found that it only made both the bananas and avocados ripen faster.
  4. Use Saran Wrap. Finally, placing saran wrap around the stem of the cluster of bananas helps keep them fresher longer. Some stores may already do this, but if not, a quick wrap should do the trick!

Since starting these tricks, my family has thrown away very few bananas. Instead, we get to enjoy them at our leisure instead of stressing over the expiration date!

Traveling Abroad? Here Are the 9 Mistakes You're Most Likely to Make

Whether you're a traveling novice or a total seasoned pro, we all make mistakes on the road. Chalk them up to learning experiences, yes, but that's not very consoling in the moment, when you're lost in an unfamiliar city without cash or WiFi. And for me, it doesn't matter how many trips I take, I learn something new every single time. So to save you a potential headache on your next great adventure, I'm sharing a list of all the times I screamed "Rookie mistake!" while traveling abroad.

I Got Fired, and It Was Actually a Huge Blessing in Disguise

I never thought that I would hear the words, "You're fired" . . . though technically I didn't. Instead I heard: "We won't be renewing your contract for the next year." And that was how, at 22, nine weeks after my father had passed away and two days before Christmas, I was left fired and unemployed.

I tried to focus on what my boss was saying, but of course I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible before the tears rolled down my face. I felt like a failure. I had always done well in school. I had excelled at my previous jobs. And yet I apparently sucked so badly at my first professional job that I got fired.

But my career didn't end there that day. In fact, since that day, my career has only continued to improve, and I now know that getting fired was one of the best things that ever happened to me. And here's why.

It made me honest about myself and my situation

I wasn't the best employee. Sure, I turned up before nine each morning and left way after five, but I didn't want to be there, and that was obvious.

I hated every minute of work and was actively looking for alternate employment but never left. Why? Because I thought a slight gap in my employment history was worse than my own enjoyment and mental health.

In fact, when I told one of my friends what had happened, she was happy for me. Her exact words were, "Great! Now you can focus on finding something that will make you happy." The entire time I had worked at my old company, I had hated it. I was just in such denial about it because I didn't want that résumé gap.

It taught me what I really wanted in a job

Looking back at what happened, it was obvious that my previous employer wasn't the right fit for me.

I was micromanaged by a man who didn't understand my role, which left me stressed and caused me to make more mistakes. And the difficult coworkers who never introduced themselves left me feeling alone and isolated without any help or guidance. I never even knew where the mugs were kept . . .

So in my job search, I ended up being extra picky. I didn't just take the first job I was offered, like before; I asked questions about the company's culture and issues that were important to me. I waited for the right job to come along that fit me perfectly.

It got me out of one of the most toxic situations of my life

While I had been trying to leave my former company for months, I never did due to the worry of a résumé gap.

The stress of work, traveling three hours a day, and never having time for my friends had left me a tense and angry person. And yet I never left.

While being told I was fired was awful, it got me instantly out of that situation. I could finally have a proper night's sleep and enjoy Christmas with my friends and family without the worry of work looming over me.

It taught me that being professionally employed isn't the most important thing in the world

I'd gone straight from school to college to working without a single break, and throughout my entire time in college, I was repeatedly told about the importance of acquiring a professional role as soon as possible.

And yet here I was: fired from my very first one.

I cried about it a lot - I thought I had wasted my entire time in college for not being able to keep my job. But being professionally employed isn't the most important thing. Sure, it puts money in the bank, which can help with your rent and bills, but there are other ways to make money. I worked on my then very new Etsy store, and while before I hadn't focused on it much at all, I suddenly had tons of frantic energy to put into it.

While I was lucky and found a new job very quickly, I have no doubt that with hard work, I could have grown my Etsy business into something that could have helped support me. Getting fired isn't the best situation, but it definitely isn't the end of the world (or your career). I managed to find a great new job that fit around my needs and wants perfectly while letting me grow and develop professionally and personally, and I have continued to grow in my career since.

So, even if right now getting fired and being unemployed feel awful, you can get through it. In fact, it might even be the best thing to happen to you, too.

People Are Cutting Their Cats' Fur to Look Like Dinosaurs, and the Results Are Crazy

As an owner of several beautiful felines, I know that cat ladies tend to have a reputation for being a little - how do you say? - eclectic. And while I completely own the weirdness that often comes with having a few four-legged companions, some people are taking their reputation to new heights by giving their cats dinosaur-like haircuts. And obviously, the photos are a strange mix of craziness and, well, beauty. Although we highly recommend talking to your pet to the vet before cutting off your cat's fur in any capacity - especially if your have an outside cat - we have to admit that some of these cuts are pretty dang creative. It all started when a pet groomer shared a #TBT photo on Instagram showing off some of his work. Amazingly, the trend has seriously picked up ever since the photo was posted. You Don't Need to Refrigerate Peanut Butter - Most of the Time

Peanut butter really is one of the greatest inventions. It's an incredibly versatile food, perfect for desserts, sandwiches, healthy snacks, or just eating straight from the jar. And in addition to the nutrition value, peanut butter is always great for its shelf life and storage options.

In general, commercial peanut butter does not need to be refrigerated. Opened jars of your everyday, processed peanut butter can sit in a normal pantry for up to three months after opening. Keeping the peanut butter at room temperature also has the added bonus of making it more creamy and spreadable when you use it. However, if your jar of peanut butter is going to take longer than a few months to finish, or if you live in a climate that's particularly hot and/or humid, it doesn't hurt to pop the jar in the refrigerator. Once it's in the fridge, you've got about another three to four months to polish it off before it starts to lose freshness.

This timeframe, however, is for the processed, commercial peanut butter you'd find on a normal supermarket shelf. Natural peanut butter doesn't have some of the preservatives and hydrogenated oils that help keep commercial peanut butter fresh and creamy at room temperature for months. Because of this, natural peanut butter can really only be stored at room temperature for about a month before the natural oils begin to spoil. You can store your jar of natural peanut butter in the fridge and it'll be good for around six months. Just be sure to stir it before putting it in the fridge - if you leave the oils separated at the top, the peanut butter will solidify into one giant chunk.

As always, use common sense with determining if a jar of peanut butter is safe to eat. A simple sniff test will alert you if the peanut butter is going rancid or even just a little bit off. But as long as it seems fine and is within these timeframes, it should be good to eat.

If Celine Dion Makes Your Heart Go on, This Beauty News Will Make Your Day

Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello for L'Oréal Paris

You think Billie Eilish is a prodigy? Celine Dion was the OG. The legend started singing when she was 12 and recorded nine albums by the time she was 18. Well, she just turned 51 and has five Grammys, two Oscars, and more than a decade of a Las Vegas residency on her résumé, and she's adding yet another accolade to the list: global spokesperson for L'Oréal Paris. Yet despite her countless achievements, Dion was surprised by the brand's offer.

"First of all, even when I was so young, not feeling confident, not feeling pretty, having problems with my teeth, very, very skinny, being bullied at school - I can go on and on and on," said Dion. "Singing was a way to express myself, and I sang for my family because I was not judged. I wanted to stay at the house. I hated to go to school because it was really hard. So I never thought L'Oréal Paris one day was going to ask me at 51 years old to become an ambassador. It's a miracle."

Denise Truscello for L'Oreal Paris

But Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L'Oréal Paris global brand president, sees Dion as a natural fit for the brand. "Celine Dion is a woman of innate self-worth, following her heart to achieve success, challenge stereotypes and trailblaze the path for so many women - and fully embodies our brand mission of 'Because I'm Worth It'."

I had the opportunity to catch up with Dion in Las Vegas, where she's wrapping up her residency in June before releasing a new album and going on tour - because the woman is far from finished. As the other editors and I waited for her to arrive (she was having her makeup done by L'Oréal Paris's own Sir John), we took bets on what she'd be wearing. A white pantsuit, perhaps? A large hat? Something gold to match the branding around the room? She surprised us all in a gray, structured Emilia Wickstead dress, looking tall and glamorous and every bit the icon she is. When she spoke, it was with intense care and deep meaning - more like a philosopher than a singer. And it makes sense when you consider the range and power of her music. Like a good philosophy student, I attempted to boil down her dissertation into three key takeaways - lessons in the Celine Dion school of life.

When asked about her role as a woman in the entertainment industry, Dion reminded us that her career started when she was so young, and because of that she always felt protected. But she knows that isn't a reality for every woman.

"It's true that women have been treated [un]fairly, and I think it's up to all of us to speak up," she said. "We cannot remain silent because we cannot be prisoners of ourselves. We all go through things. Some people go through tough things. When I said that we have to have a voice, people cannot keep this [to] themselves. If we don't have a friend [to tell], if we don't have a neighbor, if we don't have a sibling, if we don't have a parent, well, you have to find a way. There's help out there. We have to find a way to speak our mind and become the people we deserve to be as women."

2. It's Never Too Late to Realize the Importance of Self-Care

"Many, many times throughout my career, people have asked me, 'What do you do for yourself?' And to be honest with you, I didn't quite understand what they said. Don't you think I have enough on my agenda? When I have five minutes, I go to bed or have coffee or something," said Dion. But recently, she's been making time to exercise, specifically to practice ballet after her shows. "We stretch, and we do the barre," she said. "We kind of improvise, and I do this four times a week. People say, 'She's a lot thinner.' I'm working hard, I like to move, and it comes with it."

3. You Can Choose to Panic or Choose to Deal With the Moment

Dion told a story about her first show in Vegas with her parents nervously watching from the audience. As the curtain lifted, she couldn't find her shoes, but she went out on stage anyway. "I sat down and said, 'Anybody wear a size eight in the audience?' And they all stood up," she says, smiling at the memory. But someone found the shoes. "The curtain was pushed aside, and the shoes followed. The shoes were very trained."

Not to Sound Like Veruca Salt, but There's a Tie-Dye Prada Bag, and I Want It Now

I'm so grateful that the tie-dye Prada Sidonie bag was introduced into my life, because now I know exactly what to do with my tax return. I mean, how could I possibly resist this Spring 2019 runway accessory brought to life? The Sidonie, which is quickly becoming a popular bag shape among Hollywood stars, supermodels, and fashion influencers, is being introduced in this throwback print, and it'll be available in stores beginning mid-April.

Tie-dye is perhaps my favorite returning trend because it reminds me of the splashy ribbed tanks I used to wear with my Limited Too cutoffs, chunky platform sandals, and chokers. If someone gave me this purse to carry in first grade - a gift for winning the spelling bee perhaps?! - I'd do so proudly.

While some of you may try to convince me that if I'm going to invest in a designer item, it should be something neutral and "wear everyday," I'm in the other camp. I think that when something speaks to your personality or your soul it becomes even more of a treasure - and who wouldn't want to own a memorable piece of Miuccia Prada's artwork that we can attribute to a specific point in time? That's what fashion is all about!

If you still think I'm crazy for wanting to splurge on tie-dye, you may be satisfied to learn that I've also rounded up some more affordable takes on the look, all of which are just as rad. Still don't understand why, as a '90s baby, I'm so infatuated? Talk to the hand.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety of stylish options out there waiting for you.

Lauren Conrad Is 100 Percent Teasing Us With Her Pregnancy Dress

Lauren Conrad could wear her husband William Tell's old junky sweats to announce her second pregnancy and she'd probably style them to be Pinterest-worthy. Somehow, LC makes us believe that she snaps her fingers and looks like magic. I mean, can you blame us for assuming as much? The fashion designer posted a sweet pic on Instagram, cradling her bump in a floral Spring dress. "It's been hard to keep this one to myself! Very excited to share that our family will be getting a little bigger this year."

OK, so LC, is there a reason you chose to wear baby blue? Are you having a boy, or is this all just Valencia-filtered sorcery? Also, where is that lovely linen design from, and is it still available in our size? We get that we're basically talking to a wall (aka the computer screen), but we can promise you we're investigating the matter at hand. At least for now, we can shop some inspired dresses, and that will just have to be good enough.

Hello, Comfort! 15 Cute Work Dresses That Will Make You Banish Suits From Your Closet

Sitting at your desk in a restricting suit is anything but fun - that's why dresses are an excellent alternative. These picks are cute, comfortable, and versatile - everything you could want wrapped into one design. Take a look at these irresistible dresses and treat yourself to a few new options. It's always the right time to refresh your professional attire.

43 Stylish Summer Work Dresses That Are HR Approved

Let me paint you a little picture. It's summer. It's hot AF. But you're an employed person who has to go an office most days to earn a living, thus making summer work attire a very important category in your wardrobe. As someone who spent a number of years as an employed person, I can attest to the challenges of finding comfortable office attire that's both breathable and professional. If you must know, I have also been a self-employed person who can attest to the joys of working at my dining room table sans pants. But that's neither here nor there.

Since there's nothing worse than corporate suits, stiff button downs, and stifling pants in thick, soupy weather, dresses are the answer to summer work dressing woes. While there are plenty of adorable silhouettes hitting the new arrivals sections right now, the majority of them are better suited to vacations, weekends, and weddings rather than cubicles and conference rooms. Or, they're made from fabrics that, while seemingly lightweight, actually serve as breeze barrier preventing any and all air-flow from cooling your body down after a sweat-inducing commute (can you tell I take NYC's charming Subway to work?). Anyway . . .

Ahead, I've assembled an edit of 43 summer work dresses made from breathable fabrics or cut for a not-too-clingy fit, including my favorite under-$50 styles from the POPSUGAR at Kohl's collection. Do some of these styles look like an office-approved nightgown? Maybe. But with a great shoe and jewelry, do you care? Definitely not.

How to Wear Tie-Dye Like It's 2019, Not 1999

Tie-dye can be traced back to the '60s, but the last time you wore it was probably in 1999, in the form of a ribbed tank top with a denim miniskirt and chunky Steve Madden slide sandals. After the groovy print was splashed onto practically every Spring runway, the fashion stars of Instagram held, like, a really important meeting to discuss new styling methods. Just kidding, that didn't happen. But it's safe to say women are taking note from one another and coming up with ideas for coordinating tie-dye with slip skirts, checked coats, heck, even business suits. Below, we're noting our favorite fresh takes on the throwback trend so far, and sharing our psychedelic shopping list with you, too.

Damn, I Had to Do a Triple Take When I Saw J Lo in This Neon Pink Bikini

Jennifer Lopez is about to set your screen on fire, and not just 'cause she's holding a lighter. The recently engaged 49-year-old actress has been getting in touch with her nostalgic roots recently, thanks to her time filming Hustlers. This new movie comes with a throwback wardrobe, which so far includes: low-slung jeans à la 2001, Juicy t-shirts reminiscent of middle school days, and now, a jaw-dropping neon pink bikini.

J Lo shared a snap of her sexy ensemble (and insane abs) on Instagram, and captioned it "I'm a hustler baby... I just want you to know... #Ramona on fire." There's no arguing with that, especially when she's carrying an open flame! Even though she's "on set and in character" in the photo, J Lo still tackles some of this season's biggest trends with her triangle top and high-cut bottoms. She accessorized with Ruthie Davis platform heels. Keep reading to see a full shot of J Lo's look, and shop similar two-pieces for yourself.

Ashley Graham Just Gave Us a Master Class on How to Dress Up Plain Black Leggings

For anyone who still thinks leggings shouldn't be worn as pants, Ashley Graham begs to differ. The model and all-around fashion queen stepped out in New York City and made a pretty good case for taking a simple pair of black leggings outside the gym.

Ashley wore Wolford leggings with split hems at the ankles ($325) and paired them with a bright blue Saks Potts puffer jacket and a plain white RE/DONE t-shirt that she tied in a knot in her midriff area. She finished the look off with a pair of strappy orange Stuart Weitzman sandals. Read ahead to get another look at her subtle glam and to shop leggings that are perfect for dressing up or down.

Jane the Virgin: We Have a Ton of Questions About Michael's Return, but This Is the Biggest

Warning: Spoilers for the season five premiere of Jane the Virgin below!

Jane the Virgin returned on Wednesday to answer the mother of all cliffhangers: how is Michael Cordero still alive?! The season five premiere wastes no time in getting into the nitty-gritty of Michael's miraculous return to the world of the living, which comes with an unfortunate side effect. Sadly, while Michael seems to be unscathed on the outside, he tells Jane how he now goes by the name Jason, speaks with a Southern accent, and also has amnesia. It begs the question will Michael/Jason ever get his memory back?

Raf fills Jane in on how Rose (aka Sin Rostro) lured him to the prison for a quick chat, where she told him that she's responsible for kidnapping Michael. Apparently she orchestrated Michael's "death" by giving him a toxin that slowed down his heart rate long enough for her personal EMT drivers to take him away from the testing site. From there she bribed the morgue's pathologist to sign a death certificate and then put Michael through multiple rounds of electroshock therapy to wipe his memories.

Raf also notes to Jane that he ordered a DNA test, so it's definitely Michael. Then he asks Michael/Jason to tell his side of things. According to Michael/Jason (MJ? Mason? Jasel?), Rose dumped him in a field in Montana after stealing all his memories, and told him to start over. "So that's what I did," he says. "The lady said that I was in a whole lot of trouble, so I didn't know if I was a good guy or a bad guy."

So, will Michael/Jason ever get his memory back and get rid of all traces of that truly terrible accent? The neurologist he, Jane, and his mother go to see says that "there's so much about the brain that we don't know" and that it isn't an exact science, so . . . that's a solid maybe, people. The doctor suggests having Jane try to immerse Michael/Jason in familiar places and experiences and to bring him around people he used to know in an effort to jog his broken memory.

Jane goes about this by reminiscing about their adorable first meeting. Unfortunately, he finds Jane's description of the moment "sad." His bad attitude remains throughout the rest of the day, which involves taking him to eat Cubanos at his favorite food truck, meeting Petra at the Marbella, and a ride on their beloved Ferris wheel. Sadly he seems almost disgusted by Jane's tales of his former life and can't imagine why he ever fell for her ("You do talk an awful lot").

But in the end, a small shred of the real Michael must still be in there because he comes over to Alba's house to apologize to Jane for his brusque behavior earlier that day and makes an endearing speech about how he knows "he's blowing up your life," and that if she wants him "to go back to Montana, just tell me. I'll go."

In the end, Jane decides that she's going to help Michael/Jason try to recover his memories, but that doesn't necessarily mean a romance between them is in the works - after speaking with him and reflecting on what they once had, she runs to Rafael's office to remind him that nothing about their relationship has changed and she wants to move in ASAP.

However, if Michael/Jason was to regain all of his memories, restoring him to the man Jane once fell in love with, would it be enough to woo her away from Raf? That's the question we'll likely have to contend with over the next few episodes, because something tells me Jane the Virgin is going to milk this wild twist for all it's worth.

Reminder: Rhaegar Targaryen's Death Basically Caused Everything on Game of Thrones

Rhaegar Targaryen is arguably the most important Game of Thrones character, and until the season seven finale, we had never even seen him. His death marked the end of a long and complicated rebellion full of forbidden love and a plethora of fighting and death. If you're wondering how or why he died, or perhaps you've forgotten, we are here to help, because he's definitely an important piece of the Westeros puzzle.

Rhaegar is the eldest son of "Mad" King Aerys II, making him heir to the Iron Throne and Daenerys's oldest brother. The Targaryens are allies with the Lannisters way back when at this time, and Cersei always thought she might marry Rhaegar, but the two families' peace falls apart when the Mad King instead marries Rhaegar to Elia Martell of Dorne, with whom he has two children. But everything really falls apart in the Seven Kingdoms when Rhaegar sees Lyanna Stark at the Tourney of Harrenhal.

Rhaegar is so taken with Ned Stark's sister (who was also Robert Baratheon's betrothed) that when he wins the tournament, he gives the victor's wreath to Lyanna instead of his wife. Several months later, Rhaegar allegedly abducts Lyanna, but we now know from season six that she goes with him of her own free will - and they secretly get married, as we found out in Game of Thrones' season seven episode "Eastwatch," though the Game of Thrones characters all think Lyanna was the victim of kidnap and assault.

This controversy is what spurs Robert Baratheon's rebellion, backed by the great Houses Arryn, Greyjoy, Stark, and Tully. The Lannisters even eventually join the rebellion after the Battle of the Trident, which is where Robert kills Rhaegar with his war hammer.

This defeat is the beginning of the end of the Targaryens, which is why the Lannisters finally join Robert's side - like true Lannisters, they wait to see which side emerges victorious before they make a choice.

After Rhaegar's death, the Lannisters sack King's Landing. Jaime kills the Mad King (thus his nickname, Kingslayer), bannerman Ser Gregor Clegane (aka The Mountain) kills Elia Martell and Rhaegar's two children, and the rebellion is complete. Tywin Lannister marries his daughter Cersei to Robert, and King Robert takes the throne.

However, Rhaegar's line lives on. While all of this was happening during the rebellion, Rhaegar sends his pregnant new wife, Lyanna, to the Tower of Joy under the watch of Kingsguard members Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Gerold Hightower. Eddard tracks his sister there and is present when she gives birth to Rhaegar's son and heir. Ned passes the baby boy off as his own bastard because Lyanna asks him to protect the baby from King Robert (who would surely kill Rhaegar's heir if he knew the truth), and that's how Jon Snow comes to be part of the Stark family.

Beer Candy, Anyone? These Jelly Beans Are All About Flavor - Without Any of the Alcohol!

Just when you thought you'd seen every flavor of jelly bean imaginable, Jelly Belly released entire cans of beer-flavored jelly beans - and they're nonalcoholic! That's right, you can have your beer flavor (and candy) without any hangover symptoms. Each Draft Beer Jelly Bean 1.75-ounce can ($5) is filled with five small bags of jelly beans, which have a shimmery finish that mimics a bubbly, freshly poured look. So cool!

You can also mix up a fun "drink" in your mouth with any combination of jelly beans you like. Jelly Belly recommends eating two draft beer beans with one peach-flavored bean for a summery sangria taste, or swapping the peach for a red apple jelly bean to recreate the flavors of an apple shandy. If you're feeling really adventurous, try two draft beer beans with a lemon-lime bean and a Tabasco jelly bean for a candy-based Michelada in your mouth. The possibilities are endless.

Keep reading for a glimpse at the beer-flavored jelly beans and for a look at how to open the (reusable!) faux beer can.
