I Was Constipated For Weeks, Until I Started Doing This 1 Easy Thing Before Bed Every Night

You guys, I had a major problem that we need to talk about: I wasn't pooping! Ugh. Constipation was real, and it sucked, and I was dealing with it for the past couple months. I felt bloated and gassy, and when I looked down, I was puffy and felt so uncomfortable. I've been eating super healthy, lots of veggies, and no processed foods and exercising regularly, so WTF? The solution was actually so simple, and I was able to cure my constipation overnight.

If Waking Up Is the Worst Part of Your Day, Try This Sleep Doctor's 1 Simple Trick

In a perfect world, you'd get out of bed naturally at the same time every morning. You'd feel refreshed, energized. You wouldn't even want to hit the snooze button and crawl back under the covers because you'd be so ready to start the day. Sound familiar? Yeah, me neither.

For most people, waking up during the weekday grind isn't a fun thing. It can feel almost impossible to get out of bed when your alarm goes off for the first (or ninth) time. Waking up shouldn't have to be such a drag, but what can you do to make it better?

One solution comes from Rafael Pelayo, MD, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Stanford Center for Sleep Sciences and Medicine. And, lucky for us, it's something you can do tomorrow morning - no fancy light-up alarm clocks needed (although they do look pretty cool).

What's the secret? It's simple: "You have to have a reason to get out of bed in the morning, something you look forward to," Dr. Pelayo told POPSUGAR. This is a little easier if you enjoy whatever it is you do on a daily basis - work, classes, taking care of kids - but you might not, and even if you do, that may not work every day. No matter how much you might love your job, it's not at the forefront of your mind first thing in the morning, when all you want to do is roll over and go back to sleep.

In fact, starting with something smaller and more specific is even more effective. "I recommend doing something you enjoy first thing in the morning," Dr. Pelayo said, before you get dressed, brush your teeth, or even get out of bed, if you can. It doesn't matter what it is, he said: reading, eating breakfast, playing an instrument, or even just watching a funny video.

Doing something you really enjoy will help you feel more awake physically, sure, but even more importantly, it gives you a reason to wake up, and specifically a positive reason. If the only way you can get out of bed is by threatening yourself ("You'll be late to work! You'll miss the train! Traffic is getting worse!"), waking up becomes something negative, something you dread. It starts to feel like an obligation, which it definitely is - but that doesn't mean it has to be a bad one. Doing something you love first thing reframes the morning. Before, you had to wake up; now, you get to wake up and do this fun activity. Before long, you'll start to associate the morning with something positive, which gives you energy and stops you from reaching for the snooze button.

If you're still having trouble, be a little stricter and set a rule for yourself. "I tell people that if they skip the activity, or oversleep it, they can't do it again until the next day," Dr. Pelayo said. Harsh, maybe, but a way to keep you on track and accountable. It also forces you to look forward to waking up the next morning, no matter how rough today was.

The best way to wake up, then, has less to do with what alarm you use or what time you set it for and more to do with your mentality when it goes off. "If you hate waking up, you'll learn to hate your alarm, no matter what noise you use," Dr. Pelayo said. This trick gets to the heart of the problem. Planning a favorite activity first thing in the morning, or focusing on something you're looking forward to later in the day, will help you feel more energized and even excited for your wake-up call.

This Taylor Swift Fan Completely Sobbed After Receiving the Sweetest Surprise From the Singer

Source: Getty / Axelle/Bauer-Griffin

Taylor Swift went the extra mile to brighten a fan's day, and it shows that a little really can mean a lot. Taylor sent flowers and a heartfelt note to Lindsay Sizemore, who recently got in a bad car accident that left her in a neck brace and leg casts. She's currently recovering in a hospital in Nashville, and she was blown away by the surprise delivery from Taylor. "I finally stopped crying long enough to post that Taylor Swift just sent me flowers and a handwritten note . . . I'm still in complete utter shock," Lindsay wrote on Twitter. She added, "@taylorswift13 @taylornation13 thank you so much. I love you endlessly, you have NO IDEA how much this meant to me. See u on tour bb."

Taylor's handwritten note reads, "Hi buddy. I'm so sorry to hear about the accident. My heart aches knowing that such a wonderful person is having to go through this. I hope these flowers brighten your day. You're gonna rock that neck brace and soon we'll all be bopping at shows together again. Give hugs to your family for me. I'm so happy you're okay. Love, Taylor."

Lindsay had no warning that the surprise was coming and mentioned she has no direct connections ("I have no Taylor follow and never had a notice EVER," she tweeted), but her friends have been tweeting at Taylor and Taylor Nation asking them to send love during her tough time. Clearly the message was received! This positive news comes just after Taylor donated $113,000 to fight anti-LGBTQ+ bills in Tennessee, where she lives much of the time. Way to be a gem, Taylor.

Start Practicing Your Curtsy - The Crown Finally Casts Someone to Play Princess Diana

As Netflix's highly anticipated third season of The Crown takes shape, we've found ourselves with one very important question: who will play Princess Diana? Since the series is going to move into the late '70s by the end of the new season, that means a young Diana will come into the picture by season four. Luckily, it seems the streaming platform has found the perfect actress to play her.

On Tuesday, Netflix revealed that after an extensive casting search, newcomer Emma Corrin will take on the role of Diana Spencer, who will go on to become the future princess of Wales as the series moves forward. She won't appear in the third season alongside new cast members Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, and Gillian Anderson, among others, but we're excited to see how she'll mix into things when season four premieres.

"Emma is a brilliant talent who immediately captivated us when she came in for the part of Diana Spencer," The Crown's creator Peter Morgan said in a statement about the exciting news. "As well as having the innocence and beauty of a young Diana, she also has, in abundance, the range and complexity to portray an extraordinary woman who went from anonymous teenager to becoming the most iconic woman of her generation."

Corrin previously appeared in one episode of the British drama series Grantchester as a character named Esther Carter and is starring in the upcoming pageant film Misbehaviour with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. She'll also make her US TV debut in Epix's Batman drama Pennyworth, which is a prequel revolving around the life of butler Alfred Pennyworth before he got involved in the caped crusader's extracurricular activities.

"Beyond excited and honored to be joining The Crown for its fourth season," Corrin said of her casting. "I have been glued to the show since the first episode and to think I'm now joining this incredibly talented acting family is just surreal. Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan's writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice!"

Little Big Town Moves the ACMs to Tears With an Emotional Performance of "The Daughters"

Academy of Country Music Awards host Reba McEntire wasn't the only woman to call out country music's glaring gender imbalance at the big show on Sunday night; Little Big Town turned their entire performance of "The Daughters" into a bold, emotional statement calling for change.

Dressed in matching all-white outfits, the quartet performed their new ballad that uplifts young women by calling out the burdens they're are so often forced to carry by society. As the band belted out lyrics like, "And pose like a trophy on a shelf / Dream for everyone but not yourself," and "I've heard of God the Son and God the Father / I'm still looking for a God for the daughters," they were joined by a female contemporary dance troupe who showed off a stunning routine that perfectly represented the song's message.

Toward the end of Little Big Town's performance, singer Karen Fairchild got choked up, struggling to hold back her tears as she sang. In the audience, musician Brandi Carlile was also openly emotional, wiping away her tears as the band finished up the track. Watch their performance of "The Daughters" for yourself ahead, and then keep reading to see some beautiful photos of the band with the dancers who accompanied their set.

Laura Linney's New Netflix Series Looks Like It's Going to Make Us Cry Buckets

In addition to filming the third season of the Netflix crime drama Ozark, it seems Laura Linney made time to star in another drama for the streaming platform: Tales of the City.

The limited series is inspired by the books of the same name by American writer Armistead Maupin, who set his novels in San Francisco. That's where we meet Mary Ann (Linney), who returns to the California city to reunite with her daughter Shawna (Ellen Page) and ex-husband Brian (Paul Gross), 20 years after she left them to pursue her career. In Netflix's description of the series, Mary Ann is "fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture-perfect Connecticut life created" and finds herself "quickly drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), her chosen family, and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane."

Linney, Page, Gross, and Dukakis will be joined by Charlie Barnett, Murray Bartlett, Molly Ringwald, Zosia Mamet, and more over the course of its 10 episodes. Watch the trailer above, and keep an eye out for Tales of the City when it launches on Netflix on Friday, June 7.

We're Going to Need a Doctor After Watching Jennifer Lopez's Sexy Music Video For "Medicine"

Once again, Jennifer Lopez proves that she can make anything sexy, even the circus. Her music video for her latest single, "Medicine," shows the 49-year-old singer going from a glitzy carousel - looking like the couture cowgirl of your dreams - to playing fortune teller and dancing in a hall of mirrors. At one point, Lopez takes a spin on the pole, giving us a taste of what we'll be seeing in her upcoming movie Hustlers, and it's safe to say we're impressed.

The entertainer struts from scene to scene surrounded by stunning models, dancers, fire-eaters, and acrobats, making us wish this was an actual circus we could attend (though it would probably be out of our price range). Even French Montana, who is also featured in the song, loses his head for a hot second! Check out the video ahead, and when you're done, treat yourself to Lopez's other sexy music videos.

Dear SNL, Please Make These Game of Thrones Spinoff Parodies Into Actual Shows - Thanks!

Games of Thrones might be ending after this upcoming season, but Saturday Night Live has some suggestions that could help the show live on even longer. On April 6, SNL pitched a few prequels, sequels, and spinoffs that are inspired by the fantasy drama. There's already an actual prequel in the works at HBO, but that didn't stop the folks at Studio 8H from proposing their ideas. And while these are just parodies, they actually sound pretty interesting.

Some of the best ones include a cartoon program about Arya (inspired by the '90s series Daria), a show in which the characters roast each other in a rap battle á la MTV's Wild 'N Out, and - my personal favorite - a crime series called Game of Thrones: Special Victims Unit where Mariska Hargitay and Ice T (who casually made an appearance in the sketch) solve heinous cases in Rhaenys's Hill. If those sound like shows you'd be interested in, you'll love all the other ones they teased in the skit!

Are Jaime and Brienne Finally Getting Together on Game of Thrones? Here's What We Know

Few Game of Thrones relationships are quite as complex as the one that exists between Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth. When they meet, Jaime is Brienne's prisoner, and she has little use for the Kingslayer. But after being kidnapped by House Bolton loyalists, the two find themselves bonding over a lost hand, what it means to be honorable in Westeros, and a fight in a bear pit. Since then, their connection has been palpable. Even Cersei realizes Brienne loves her brother, and given the fact that Jaime gifts Brienne with Oathkeeper, it feels safe to say that on some level, he loves her back. That doesn't mean this star-crossed couple will actually end up together, but Jaime and Brienne shippers have every reason to hope that season eight will bring them closer together than ever before.

At the end of season seven, Jaime defies his sister's order to stay by her side and heads North to protect the living from the Night King's army. However, just because he stands up to Cersei, that doesn't mean these two are over. Their twisted love story runs deep, and if the queen is to be believed, then she's carrying her brother's child. In an August 2018 interview with Huffington Post, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau confirmed that part of Jaime's motivation for joining the fight in the North involves making the world safe for his child with Cersei. "That's also what he told her, he says, 'What's the point? If we don't defeat this threat, there is no future for our child.' I think he's doing it for the right reasons, he gave his word, but also it's the future of mankind and the future of him and Cersei that's at stake," the actor said.

That's depressing news for anyone who thought he might be heading North for Brienne, who so eloquently encouraged him to let go of honor just this once and convince his sister to join the fight in the North for the sake of the realm. However, Coster-Waldau didn't rule out the possibility of more Jaime and Brienne moments coming soon. When asked if his character could be going North to be with Brienne, he replied, "Ohhh, well, who knows? I don't, well, I know how it ends but . . . no, I can't comment on that."

No comment could mean there's something to comment on, right? It's hard to imagine that after seven seasons of build-up absolutely nothing will happen between Jaime and Brienne as they face down the White Walkers, presumably side by side. If nothing else, the show could at least give fans a kiss as payoff for the simmering tension that's been building since season three. Even if Cersei is the love of his life, Brienne's the person who pulled Jaime from the darkness, and he's the one who helped her understand the true cost of being a knight.

Now he's going North, and even if his intent isn't to be with her, their proximity to each other might prove to be too powerful of a draw to ignore. After all, he does tell Brienne in season six that Oathkeeper will always be hers, and the show made it pretty clear that the sword is an emblem of his honor. In other words, Brienne has the best part of Jaime, and that connection can only grow now that they'll be on the same side.

Of course, the biggest obstacle standing between Brienne and Jaime finding happiness together is the fact that they're warriors who will be fighting on the front lines of the war against the dead. It seems impossible that they'll both survive the onslaught of the Night King's army, but if they can capture even just one moment of joy, that will be close enough to a happy ending for fans who've been waiting years for Jaime and Brienne to simply acknowledge just how much they mean to each other.

Everywhere You've Seen Zendaya - Before Her Ridiculously Huge Year Really Kicks Off

We all know that Zendaya is a gem - she sings, she dances, she acts, she advocates! She recently graced the silver screen as the trapeze artist Anne in The Greatest Showman and as the decidedly chill, book-loving version of MJ in Spider-Man: Homecoming. You might also be obsessed with her groovy, yet classically beautiful collection with designer Tommy Hilfiger. In 2019, Zendaya is going to have a huge year with many cool projects on her plate. If you're just falling in love with the megatalented actress this year, here are her past roles in TV and movies that you should know.

Like many of our current faves (Demi Lovato, Cole Sprouse, Miley Cyrus, and so on), Zendaya's background is steeped in Disney Channel parts. She first went on the small screen as Rocky Blue, the precocious dancer on the show Shake It Up, which lasted a good three seasons. In the last few years, from 2015 to 2018, the actress also starred on Disney's K.C. Undercover, a series about a teenage girl who becomes a spy. You may have also seen her in one-off roles on A.N.T. Farm and Good Luck Charlie.

The kid-friendly network also tapped on Zendaya for the television movies Frenemies and Zapped. She stars in the former as a girl who has a fallout with her best friend (Bella Thorne) over a senior-editor job, and in the latter as a teenager who uses an app to make the boys in her life behave better.

Recently, Zendaya has lent her voice to a few animated films. In the voice-acting world, she's known for her role as Smallfoot's Meechee, a young female yeti that Channing Tatum's Migo is absolutely enamored by. Her role was widely popularized by the silly "Zendaya is Meechee" meme started by YouTuber Gabriel Gundacker. Other than Meechee, Zendaya also voiced the lost duck Chi in Duck Duck Goose, Fern the garden fairy in Pixie Hollow Games, and the supercute pony Lollipop in Super Buddies (though, this is technically a live-action film).

The young actress's momentum isn't stopping any time soon, and she's definitely skyrocketing beyond her Disney Channel roots. At the moment, she's working on Dune, an in-production sci-fi film which will star Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Timothée Chalamet. This year, she'll be starring in a handful of films and shows. In fact, you may have already seen her on Netflix's The OA as the recurring character Fola. Zendaya will also be leading the HBO series Euphoria, a Skins-esque show that will also feature A Wrinkle in Time's Storm Reid. And, of course, she'll be reprising her role as MJ in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home with Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei. We're stoked to see what's next for Zendaya!

Will Sam and Gilly Finally Get Married on Game of Thrones? Here's What They've Been Through

With all its epic battles, plot twists, and huge dragons, romance might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Game of Thrones. After all, many relationships on the show don't exactly end well, even if they have given us some memorable scenes. But one couple has been through a whole lot since almost the beginning, and have managed to stay together. With the final season ahead, let's take a look at Samwell Tarly and Gilly's long relationship.

Sam and Gilly first meet in season two, when the Night's Watch stops at Craster's Keep during their journey to investigate the White Walkers. Craster, the Wildling head of the refuge, lives beyond the Wall with his daughter-wives. Among them is Gilly, who is pregnant with Craster's child. Because she fears what he might do to her baby if it's a boy, she asks Sam to help her leave. Jon first refuses to take her along, then discovers that Craster is sacrificing his newborn sons to the White Walkers. Craster kicks the Night's Watch out, but Sam, who's taken a liking to Gilly, promises that he'll come back for her.

In season three, the survivors of the Battle of the Fist of the First Men (aka the intense battle between the Night's Watch and the White Walkers in the season two finale) return to Craster's Keep. Gilly gives birth to her baby - who turns out to be a boy, which deeply upsets her. When a mutiny breaks out as a result of disgruntled Night's Watch members, Craster is killed, and Sam helps Gilly and her baby escape. They have a run-in with a White Walker who seems to want to take Gilly's baby, but thankfully, Sam saves them by killing the White Walker with a dragonglass dagger. Not only does this act unveil an undiscovered way to kill White Walkers, but it also serves as a serious bonding moment for Sam and Gilly. After all, he literally saved her life. When they finally arrive at Castle Black, Gilly reveals that she's named her baby Sam.

Their relationship continues in season four, though they spend most of it away from each other. Sam, concerned for Gilly and Little Sam's safety, moves them to nearby Mole's Hill. Gilly hates it, and they don't reunite until the Battle of Castle Black between the Night's Watch and the Wildlings. Just before the battle, Sam swears again to protect Gilly and they share their first kiss. They also go further than a kiss for the first time in season five, after Sam attempts to ward off Night's Watch members who try to prey on Gilly.

Sam makes his way to the Citadel in Oldtown in season six. He hopes to become the Night Watch's new maester after the previous one, Aegon, dies in the previous season. Gilly and Little Sam come along, and they stop at Horn Hill on the way, where they have an awkward meeting with Sam's family. Sam's father shames him for falling in love with a Wildling, and though he ultimately allows Gilly and Little Sam to stay at Horn Hill, he gives Sam the boot. Instead, they sneak off to make their way to the Citadel. Season seven ultimately sees them heading to Winterfell to support Jon. And of course, Sam realizes that Jon is actually a Targaryen thanks to Gilly finding the information.

After all this time together, it certainly seems like Sam and Gilly are already married, especially because we've seen a handful of other weddings on the show. As this is Game of Thrones, none of them have had much of a happy ending. Since Sam and Gilly are still going strong, perhaps marriage is in store for the final season? That is, if they can find a moment to breathe with all the other crazy things that could go down!

Game of Thrones: Cersei Will Be Cast Down by Someone Younger and More Beautiful - but Who?

At the beginning of Game of Thrones season five, the show flashes back to Cersei's childhood trip to visit a witch in the forest. That witch prophecies the births and deaths of Cersei's children, promising that they'll wear crowns of gold, as well as shrouds of gold. She also correctly tells the future queen that she'll never marry her prince, but she will marry the king. This bit of the prophecy comes true when she weds Robert Baratheon after Robert's Rebellion. That just leaves one portion of the prophecy left to be fulfilled. The witch tells Cersei that she'll be queen for a time, but then another will come - younger and more beautiful - to cast her down and take all that she holds dear. That begs the question, who will cast Cersei down?

The most obvious answer is Daenerys. She's a young and beautiful upstart queen with an army that can rival Cersei's. She also sees the Iron Throne as her birthright, which makes her a likely candidate to overthrow the Lannister Queen. The only thing working against the Mother of Dragons is just how obvious of a choice she is. Ultimately, it would be more interesting to see an unexpected player cast Cersei down - and it's important to note that the character in question doesn't necessarily have to be a queen herself. She only has to take all that Cersei holds dear, and what she holds dear is power, Jaime, and her children. Since she's already lost her children, that only leaves two things for this mystery woman to take from her.

With those parameters in mind, there are three serious candidates left: Brienne, Arya, and Sansa. Now, Brienne isn't known to be physically beautiful, but she possesses an innocence and inner beauty that Cersei could never hope to attain. As Reddit user itsjayrr points out, Brienne is mockingly called "Brienne the Beauty." She also has a powerful bond with Jaime that could grow into something more, now that they're set to fight, side by side, in the North. If the Lady of Tarth can possess Jaime's heart, she could end up being the undoing of the queen.

Narratively speaking, Sansa and Arya working in tandem would be the best payoff to this particular prophecy. The Stark sisters have suffered at Cersei's hands. She's partly responsible for Ned Stark's death, she allows Joffrey to hurt Sansa, and then forces her to marry Tyrion in order to keep the elder Stark sister from leaving King's Landing. When Sansa finally does escape, Cersei makes sure she's hunted, leading the young woman to be used in Littlefinger's games. As for Arya, if Cersei had never participated in Ned's death, then she wouldn't have had to flee the city in season one, which leads to all manner of pain for her in the future.

Sansa's grown into her own power enough to be a threat to Cersei's, while Arya's ability to change faces means she could kill Jaime, take his face, and then execute the queen in the guise of the Kingslayer. Either or both Starks could cast Cersei down and rob her of the things she holds dear.

Or the theory could be self-fulfilling. Cersei is her own worst enemy, and she's allowed the prophecy to eat away at her for decades. It drives her fear of Margaery Tyrell, Sansa, and Daenerys, and that fear leads her to make decisions that cost her children their lives. You could also say she's already driven Jaime away all on her own. He leaves at the end of season seven because of her deception, and now she has no true allies, only people like Euron Greyjoy who cannot truly be trusted. In the end, the Lannister queen may be her own undoing, because she can't stop looking for the woman she believes is coming to claim her throne long enough to stop and realize that she's destroying her own life.

Game of Thrones: Why the Andals Are Key to the Story

After all these years of Game of Thrones, it feels like we've become experts in a fictional world. We know our Dothraki from our Dornish neighbors and our Tullys from our Tyrells. The show - and the books that inspired it - has created a complicated world with a rich, messy history and complicated politics as much as the real world. While some of these groups have been name-dropped often, one is only mentioned occasionally, and not very clearly: the Andals. Who are these people, and why are they so important to the story we're following?

Essentially, the Andals are the ancestors of most of the modern-day inhabitants of Westeros. According to Thrones lore, the Andals migrated from Essos to Westeros, supposedly after seeing visions of their god, and conquered most of the inhabitants there (aka the "First Men"). They intermarried with the First Men, and in the era in which Game of Thrones is set, the descendants of Andals are the dominant racial, linguistic, and cultural group. The majority of characters in GOT, then, are of Andal descent and follow Andal cultural customs.

There are a couple of significant regions where the influence and bloodlines of the Andals never quite reached. The North - that is, the region of the Starks of Winterfell and the Night's Watch - was never conquered, so the gene pool of Northerners remains heavily First Men, rather than Andal. Similarly, Dorne was part of the Andal conquest but had a different culture, since so many of the Andals intermarried with eastern Essos refugees and created their own unique kingdom.

On Game of Thrones, the term "Andal" is only used occasionally, and mostly in historical exposition. However, it's been used to identify one character in particular. Jorah Mormont, an exiled Northern lord who pledges loyalty to Daenerys, is sometimes called "Jorah the Andal" by the Dothraki, who lump together all Westerosi with that moniker. Ironically, Jorah is from the North, which means he's actually descended more from the First Men than the Andals, but the nomenclature goes to show just how much the culture of the Andals has become associated as the default of all of Westeros.

The Reason Daenerys Believes She Is Barren Goes Back to Season 1

It's been a long time since we saw Game of Thrones's season seven episode, "Beyond the Wall," but it's worth revisiting before the show returns for its final bath of episodes. Why? Because it ties in with a very important fact about Daenerys: She's not capable of having children . . . or so she thinks.

To recap, Jon finally accepts Daenerys as his queen and the two make serious eyes at each other before she insists that he get some rest after his adventures in nearly freezing to death. Between their budding romance and Tyrion questioning the khaleesi about who will be next in line for the throne if she should die, "Beyond the Wall" was intent on reminding viewers that Daenerys cannot have children - at least, not human ones. The reason for this goes all the way back to season one.

Daenerys becomes pregnant during her marriage to Khal Drogo, and she and her husband believe their son is destined to be the Stallion Who Mounts the World. However, late in her pregnancy, Daenerys decides to put an end to the Dothraki's practice of raping the women of the villages they conquer. In the process, she saves Mirri Maz Duur, a healer and proficient practitioner of blood magic. When one of Khal Drogo's men challenges the khaleesi's decision to take the women under her protection, her husband fights for her. He kills the man who opposes them, but ends up with a wound which only becomes worse under Mirri Maz Duur's treatment.

Ultimately, the woman convinces Daenerys that the only way to save Khal Drogo is with a blood sacrifice. What she doesn't tell Daenerys is that her son's life will pay for her husband's, and that he will still be left in a vegetative state. Mirri Maz Duur orchestrates the entire situation as an act of revenge because, as she reveals to Daenerys, she was raped three times before the khaleesi "rescued" her, and she witnessed her village and all of its people burn. She's not content with taking Khal Drogo and Daenerys's son, though. She also offers the khaleesi a prophecy as well, stating:

"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, when the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves, when your womb quickens again and you bear a living child, then he will return, and not before."

Because of the prophecy, Daenerys believes she is barren. That's why she sees her dragons as her children and why Viserion's death affects her so deeply. As far as she knows, she will never give birth again, and her only family is a trio of dragons who came out of the fire with her.

It should be noted that many fans believe the prophecy is open to interpretation. Reddit user kaiokenx4 lays out an interesting theory that posits Mirri Maz Duur is actually talking about the long Winter coming to an end. While Daenerys is asking about when Khal Drogo will return, the "him" Mirri Maz Duur may be referring to could be Azor Ahai. In other words, once Daenerys conceives and gives birth to a living child, the realm may be saved. (Adding fuel to this theory's flame is Ser Jorah pointedly telling Jon he should pass Longclaw on to his children one day in the same episode that both Tyrion and Daenerys remind us that she will never have an heir.)

Prophecies are tricky things, and they should rarely be taken literally. As of right now, Daenerys believes she will never have another child, but she also believes she's the last Targaryen, and she's definitely wrong about that. She could be wrong about this, too, and if she is, then Tyrion's fears about who will make sure the wheel stays broken after she's gone could be a bit premature.

Princess Eugenie Has Friends in High Places - Here Are Some of Them

Gone are the days when the royal family could only associate with other royals and high-ranking aristocrats. Nowadays, members of the royal family hang out with Hollywood actors, pop musicians, designers, and a wide variety of people without a single title. The people who move in royal circles, though, are still pretty extraordinary in some way.

Princess Eugenie is a perfect example of this kind of modern royal. She's low enough in the line of succession that she's not a "working royal" and instead has spent her career working in the art world, which has brought her in touch with some of the biggest names in pop culture. The princess is known to love spending time with her friends - here are eight of the people she's likely to spend the most time with!

Only 1 Member of the British Royal Family Has a Cat - Here's Who

As even the most casual royal watchers know, pets are a big part of the royal family's life. The most visible representations, of course, have been the queen's beloved corgis, who she has been breeding for decade (although, sadly, she no longer is). Among the younger generation of royals, though, there are plenty of pets, and they seem to be favoring dogs in that eternal battle: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a Cocker Spaniel named Lupo, and while Meghan Markle had to leave her elderly dog Bogart in Canada, since he was too old to comfortably make the move with her, she and her new husband Prince Harry adopted a black lab puppy. With all the dogs in the royal family, are cats getting left out?

Among the current members of the royal family, only one (who we know of) has a cat for a pet: Princess Michael of Kent, the wife of Queen Elizabeth II's first cousin Prince Michael of Kent. In her official 70th birthday portrait, the princess posed with one of her cats. Reportedly, the princess (who was born Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz, the daughter of a Nazi German baron, and took her husband's name and title upon marriage) has several Siamese and Burmese cats, as well as a handful of other pets.

Although Princess Michael is the only current public-facing royal to own a cat, there's definitely some historical precedent for cats roaming through the halls of the palace. A white cat named Snowdrop was reportedly the childhood pet of Queen Victoria's youngest son, Prince Leopold. The reign of Queen Victoria also saw Buckingham Palace play home to a black cat, Peter, who officially lived in the stables on the grounds, but reportedly roamed where he pleased, as a true cat does.

The royals aren't the only British public figures with a soft spot for kitties. Officially, there is a Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office - a resident cat who has an official civil-service post as the mouse-catcher at 10 Downing Street, where the prime minister lives and works. The current holder of the office is Larry (pictured above), a rescued Tabby cat who has held the position since 2011. Larry began his work during the tenure of David Cameron and has continued to remain in his post, even after Cameron's tenure ended and Theresa May took over in 2016.

According to 10 Downing Street's official website, Larry carries out some very important duties. "Larry spends his days greeting guests to the house, inspecting security defenses, and testing antique furniture for napping quality. His day-to-day responsibilities also include contemplating a solution to the mouse occupancy of the house. Larry says this is still 'in tactical planning stage.'"

The contemporary royal family doesn't have many cats, but cats have been, historically, associated with royalty and nobility. Royal families from Egypt to Russia and more have had pet cats, and perhaps, in the near future, one of today's more high-profile royals will bring a cat into the mix as well!

Thirsty? Don't Watch These Leonardo DiCaprio Movies on Netflix - They Won't Help

If you've been wondering, "When will Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt ever costar in a movie together?" then we finally have your answer. Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will follow struggling TV actor Rick Dalton (played by DiCaprio) and his stunt double and best friend Cliff Booth (played by Pitt), with their story set in Los Angeles during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age, and *damn* does it look good. Unfortunately, its premiere date, July 26, is a while off, but in the meantime, there are still plenty of Leonardo DiCaprio movies to enjoy on Netflix!

Look, If You Forgot Why Bran Can't Walk on Game of Thrones, We Don't Blame You

Before Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its final season, we're revisiting where our characters began and speculating what could become of them in the future. While much has been discussed about key players like Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Tyrion, we're revisiting a character who could play a pivotal role in the final season. But before Bran Stark was the monotone Three-Eyed Raven, he was just a boy, and he had the ability to walk.

Bran's loss of his ability to walk goes all the way back to the very first episode. In season one, Bran is just a boy learning to use a bow and arrow, trying to impress his father, and attempting to keep up with his older siblings. But a fateful fall nearly kills Bran, and as a consequence, he loses his mobility. Here's what happens:

In the very fist episode of Game of Thrones, King Robert, his wife, Queen Cersei, and her twin brother, Jaime, visit the Starks of Winterfell. During King Robert's visit, Bran goes exploring and climbs the tallest tower he can find. Unbeknownst to Bran, once he reaches the top of the tower, balancing himself on the ledge of a window, he finds Queen Cersei and Jaime engaging in incestuous sexual intercourse. Startled and worried they will be discovered if the boy reveals anything, Jaime pushes Bran out of the window, presumably falling to his death - but Bran survives.

The young Stark is brought back to Winterfell, where he remains comatose. While deep in sleep, he survives another assassination attempt when his direwolf, Summer, attacks the would-be killer by ripping out his throat. After a few weeks, Bran eventually wakes up to find his memory foggy and his legs unable to move. From there, Bran is carried by his companion Hodor, pushed on a sled, and finally given a wheelchair.

There is no doubt Bran has been through a lot since that fateful first episode. He has been separated from his family, escaped Winterfell, out-run White Walkers, and become the Three-Eyed Raven. With the final season approaching, Bran could be one of the most important characters of the final season, and his abilities as the Three-Eyed Raven should not be underestimated. This young boy who was nearly killed in the first episode could become the most valuable player in the final battle.

Shazam Was the Original Captain Marvel - Yes, You Read That Right

At first, Captain Marvel and Shazam! might seem as though they have nothing to do with each other besides the fact that they're superhero movies that came out around the same time. While we're not going to see a Marvel and DC crossover in the near future, these two characters do share a history together because of a copyright conundrum decades ago. In fact, Shazam was Captain Marvel way before Carol Danvers.

Originally published by Fawcett Comics, Captain Marvel became the bestselling superhero comic-book series of the '40s. Blessed by an ancient wizard, a young boy named Billy Batson only had to say "Shazam!" to transform into Captain Marvel and pick up super strength, endurance, speed, and other cool abilities.

While Captain Marvel was very popular, Fawcett stopped publishing the series in 1953. DC Comics noticed that Captain Marvel was an awful lot like its Superman, so it launched a copyright infringement suit against Fawcett. Perhaps winking at this contentious history, the Shazam! film includes a special reference to the Man of Steel himself.

Shortly after Fawcett stopped publishing the adventures of Billy Batson, Marvel Comics seized the trademark for Captain Marvel in the '60s so it could eventually have a character with that name. It would have several iterations of Captain Marvel, eventually settling on Carol Danvers.

In 1972, DC Comics picked up character rights from Fawcett for the original Captain Marvel. Billy's alter ego would still be called, confusingly, Captain Marvel. To avoid copyright infringement, the official title of the series just became the word Billy shouts to summon his powers: Shazam! DC Comics continued calling the character Captain Marvel for years until it decided to clear up the confusion by just naming the superhero Shazam in The New 52 in 2012. On Marvel's end, Carol Danvers went by Ms. Marvel until the very same year.

Since Captain Marvel and Shazam! came out with just a month between them, we're extremely grateful both franchises have sorted things out for clarity's sake.

Joey Tribbiani Sequin Pillows Are Exactly What My Couch Needs, So, "How You Doin'?"

There's only one thing I want visitors to do when they walk into my apartment: look it up and down and ask, "How you doin'?" Friends fans may already have a yellow frame over the peephole on their front door or even a Central Perk coffee mug, but I can guarantee they don't have a sequin pillow with Joey Tribbiani's adorable face plastered on it. That's right: if you were impressed by the sexy Jeff Goldblum pillows or entertained by the Dwight Schrute Office-inspired pillows, Etsy is back to fill our living rooms with more sequined goodies, and this one features none other than Dr. Drake Ramoray Joseph Francis Tribbiani, Jr.

The hilarious living room decor has reversible red sequins that reveal Matt LeBlanc's iconic character and his most famous one-liner when moved around. The Friends TV Sequin Pillow ($24, originally $40) is available on Etsy, and we highly recommend stocking up, because Joey doesn't share food, but we don't share our Joey pillows.

Please Stop What You're Doing to Watch This Adorable Dog "Sing" to His Favorite Song

Tank the American Bully is about to be a viral star thanks to his crooning over Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey." In a video posted to YouTube by his owner, Tank can be seen relaxing when his human asks their Amazon Echo to play Cardi B. Apparently, Tank isn't a huge fan of the rapper, but it's clear that he loves music and instantly becomes curious as the song "Look at Me" begins to play. Then, when Tank's owner asks Alexa to play "Tennessee Whiskey," the dog perks up, and as the first notes come through the speaker, he howls along . . . to the entire. song. Watch Tank's adorable - and very on-melody - performance in the video above!

Shake Shack's Secret Game of Thrones Menu Has to Be Ordered in Valyrian, So This Should Be Fun

Do you speak Valyrian? Well, you better start taking lessons if you want to order Shake Shack's new Game of Thrones secret menu items. Ahead of the show's eighth and final season, Shake Shack introduced a Dracarys Burger and Dragonglass Shake, which can only be ordered in the aforementioned fictional language. (That shouldn't be at all entertaining for employees, right?)

Available for $11, the Dracarys Burger is a spicy double cheeseburger topped with bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, and ShackSauce. While the burger brings the heat, the Dragonglass Shake, priced at $7, is a cool custard blend of mint and white chocolate topped with shards of toffee.

The limited menu comes after several big brands, including Oreo and Mountain Dew, released their own products inspired by the seminal show. Currently available at Shake Shack's Madison Square Park location in New York City, the burger will be sold through April 21, while the shake is sticking around until May 19. Check out the fire and ice combo meal ahead, as well as a handy Valyrian pronunciation guide.

This Is the Easiest Way to Cook Asparagus to Perfection

Asparagus is one of my favorite low-maintenance and versatile vegetables. It tastes delicious any way you choose to cook it, like wrapping it up with some mozzarella, throwing it in the oven for a quick and easy roast, or grilling them into crispy "fries." There's really so much you can do with asparagus, but I've found that the tastiest way to cook them is also the easiest. Here's how to do it.

  1. Preheat the oven: As with most vegetable roasting where you're looking for a bit of caramelization, asparagus does best roasting at high heat, anywhere between 400 and 450 degrees, depending on how you want it to turn out. (The higher the heat, the more risk for burning, and all ovens tend to differ, so find what temperature works best for your oven and your taste buds!)
  2. Prep the asparagus: This is my favorite part because it's so easy. Just cut off about half an inch of the bottoms (pro tip: do this while it's still bound at the bottom so you can cut and trash in one swoop). Depending on what size you get, asparagus can be thick and fat or long and thin. If you have the thin kind, no further prep is necessary. If it's on the thicker size (thumb thickness or bigger), you can peel the stalk a little to make it cook softer and not bite into a tough stalk.
  3. Season the asparagus: I used to drizzle olive oil over the baking sheet and the spears, but found some bites to be missing the flavor I love all the way through, so I started putting all the asparagus into a container with a lid or even a zip-top baggie, drizzling the olive oil into the container, and shaking it up. This way, each spear gets a nice coating. Here's where you can also add whatever seasoning you like. If you're keeping it simple, like I do, just add a little salt and pepper and let the delicious asparagus taste shine.
  4. Get ready to cook: Once the asparagus is all oiled and seasoned, put it onto a baking sheet or roasting pan and spread it out so the spears aren't touching. There doesn't have to be a lot of room in between for them to each fully cook, but you want a nice, even temperature throughout, so leaving space helps with this. Pop the sheet into the oven and roast for about 12 to 18 minutes, depending on if you have the thin or thick kind (allow more time if it's thicker). At the halfway point, shake the pan a little so the parts of the asparagus that have been flat shift a bit. This ensures that nice caramelization all the way to the tips of the spears, which become deliciously crispy. Remove from the oven and enjoy!

New-Bride's Guide to Changing Her Name

Updating your email address to reflect your new married name is the easiest step of all, but unfortunately the laundry list of other changes is much more time-consuming. Some women end up procrastinating because it isn't exactly anyone's idea of fun.

If you've considered everything and still want to change your name, then make the process less painless by following our New-Bride's Guide to Changing Her Name. Simply print out the checklist to learn what steps you may need to take. You'll find that some areas require more attention and paperwork than others, but keep in mind that you only need to (hopefully) do this once! Make copies of all the documents for your records, just in case.

Get a Marriage License

This is the most necessary step, because you won't be able to change your name at all without this document.

Obtain a New Driver's License

You'll have to take your marriage license and current driver's license to the DMV to get a new one issued with your new name.

Apply For a New Social Security Card

The Social Security Administration has specific requirements for issuing a new card - you'll need a new application, proof of citizenship, proof of your legal name change, proof of identity, and proof of your old name.

Visit its website for examples of accepted documentation.

Talk to Your Company's Human Resources Department

Your employer reports your Social Security payments, so you need to make sure to take this step immediately following your name change with Social Security.

Replace or Renew Your Passport

The requirements vary depending on whether you received your passport within a year of marriage or more than a year prior. Here's what you'll need:

Within a Year
This information can be found at the US Department of State's website, and you need to fill out a Name Change, Data Correction, and Limited Passport Book Replacement Form: DS-5504 and send it in with two passport photos, a certified copy of your marriage certificate, and your old passport.

More Than a Year
You'll need to apply for a new passport and pay $110 for it.

Update Miscellaneous Accounts

Online accounts, credit cards, bank and brokerage accounts, 401(k): basically, anything you can think of that has your old name on it!

Cheerios Just Released a New Blueberry Flavor For Spring, and, Heck Yes, It's Permanent!

There's no reason to mess with a perfect classic like Cheerios, but a slight enhancement with a fruity twist is always welcome. That's why General Mills is introducing Blueberry Cheerios as a brand-new flavor for Spring, and it's not a limited-time offering - it's here to stay. The cereal hits shelves at major retailers nationwide beginning the week of April 9, so just look out for the bright blue, eye-catching box ($4 for 11 ounces; $5 for 20 ounces). A press release describes Blueberry Cheerios as "inspired by the fresh taste of blueberry" and "made with a real blueberry puree and natural flavors, with no artificial flavors or colors," and they're gluten-free just like the original. If you love the idea of swapping fresh blueberries for a crunchy, whole-grain cereal version in the morning, these just might replace your stock of Honey Nut.

Bring It, Summer - This Organic Sparkling Sake Wine Is Fruity, Sweet, and Only 88 Calories!

Whether you plan to spend your Summer reclining leisurely on a white sand beach or chilling at home with your favorite people, a can of sparkling wine might just make you feel like you're on vacation no matter where you are.

Sparkling wine company Social has created a line of light, fizzy, and sweet sake wines available in four fruity flavors - and I can already hear the waves crashing on the beach as I crack open a can of the Hibiscus Cucumber. With so many sweet and satisfying flavors with a four percent ABV, they sound like a spa day in a can. So refreshing!

The Strawberry Rose flavor is mildly sweet with a hint of strawberry and the aroma of rose petals, while the Pink Grapefruit sparkling wine is tangy and tart with a "delicate ginger essence." As for the Elderflower Apple flavor, Social describes it as refreshingly crisp, just like the Hibiscus Cucumber wine, which has some floral hints. All four flavors are available in four-packs for $11 in stores across the US and online.

The best part? Each 10-ounce can only has 88 calories, one gram of sugar, and four grams of carbs because the alcohol is fermented from brown rice instead of sugar, making it sake wine. So, yes, feel free to crack open another can. See all the options of these organic drinks ahead, and be ready to stock up.

You May Have to Buy New Bathroom Towels More Often Than You Think

It can be tricky to figure out (and remember) how often we should replace household products - especially bathroom towels. You use them to dry off after getting clean and you wash them frequently, so chances are, if you're like me, you've had your bathroom towels for years. But exactly how long are we supposed to hold onto them before we should toss them for new ones? Turns out, the expert-recommended amount of time is every two years.

"Because towels are used daily and washed frequently, they tend to fray and tear after a couple of years," says Leanne Stapf, chief operating officer at The Cleaning Authority. "They typically lose their absorbency around the two-year mark, which is a good indicator that it's time to replace them."

Of course, there's some flexibility with this rule and some types of towels may last longer than others. "Laundering, use, and heat will, over time, put a strain on the fibers of your towel which will eventually lead to it becoming stiff and less comfortable to use," says Rachel Ward, founder of Lüks Linen. "If you're using a flat weave towel, you can extend its shelf life into double figures. A good quality loomed peshtemal will get softer, not stiffer over time, and doesn't benefit from fabric conditioner or the inside of a dryer." Rachel also suggests opting for natural fibers, such as cotton or bamboo, when purchasing towels.

Heinz and Cadbury Created Creme Egg Mayo, and We Truly Never Thought We'd See the Day

In what initially seemed like a prank - seriously, it was announced on April Fools' Day - Heinz and Cadbury have inexplicably teamed up to release Creme Egg Mayo. To really break it down, that's a mayonnaise spread blended with fondant and chocolate - evidently just the thing for people who prefer their sandwiches to have a slightly sweet aftertaste! (Hey, we're not here to judge.)

The beguiling food hybrid is actually meant to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Heinz this year, and thus, it will only be around for a limited time and only in the UK, since Cadbury is a British brand, after all. Ahead, see photos of the food hybrid we never thought we'd witness.
