Regina Hall on Being a "Boss B" in Little: "It's Important That She Believed in Herself"
There have been many horrible bosses in movies that have shaken us to our very cores (looking at you Priestly), but it's safe to say that Little's Jordan Sanders takes the cake. Played to perfection by Regina Hall, Jordan starts her day terrorizing everyone, from her next door neighbor to local baristas and her own long-suffering assistant, April (Issa Rae). In a very The Devil Wears Prada-esque moment, April actually tries to warn her colleagues that Jordan is on her way, but there's no hiding from the boss when she wants to find you. And Jordan's anger is like a heat missile, constantly aimed at her terrified employees.
Her reign of terror is abruptly cut short when she meets the business end of a wand and wakes up in the body of her 13-year-old self (played by executive producer Marsai Martin, age 14). A modern reversal of the classic 1988 comedy Big, the film follows a similar formula with twists and turns unique to Martin's vision. Young Jordan has to deal with everyone treating her like a child again and the struggles that come along with adolescence - relentless bullies. Even though she's been on the other side of the bullying for the last several years, it's still hurtful when it's at her expense, and the experience takes her on a journey of discovery and self-acceptance.
For Hall, the role of Jordan joins a long list of comedic characters that are outrageously funny. When I hopped on the phone with the Girls Trip actress, she admitted that fans still throw out quotes from Scary Movie's Brenda when they see her, and I have a feeling that she'll be hearing Jordan's vicious - but hilarious - insults soon enough. Keep reading for more on Hall's role in Little, what it was like hanging out with Issa Rae, and what her favorite part of playing the "Boss B" character is.
POPSUGAR: I really enjoyed the movie, and it's kind of like this generation's funnier, more modern and feminine take on Big. Were you a fan of that movie and why do you think fans of Big will appreciate Little?
Regina Hall: Well, I'm a huge Tom Hanks fan. I mean, Big was great and I just think Tom Hanks was so brilliant in that movie comedically. I think everyone will take something different from the movie and, hopefully, they will enjoy it. I hope people will go see the movie and they'll laugh and have a good time. [Little] is about that fantasy, if you could go back for a few minutes or a few days, and that was the funniest thing to me and what was funny about its characters.
PS: If you could go back in time to any age, what age would you go back to?
RH: Maybe 15, when I first had a job and when I had all my friends! That was fun.
PS: An iconic time, adolescence. Was there any scene in particular that was hard to get through without breaking? Because it was hard to not laugh out loud just watching you guys.
"I think it's really important that she believed in herself, and I love that."
RH: Well, it was hard to get through the speech with all the employees and not laugh, you know? I was yelling at everyone and pushing them into walls and knocking on their heads. That was kind of hard to do without laughing. [laughs]
PS: Speaking of, Jordan is super tough, which is understandable considering she's a woman in a male-dominated industry. Did you pull from any other iconic mean bosses for your performance, whether in movies or in real life?
RH: You know what I honestly think? I think we're always pulling, because I feel like I'm always watching people and listening to stories and hearing things. But for this one, I thought of what would be my worst nightmare in a boss and tried to create that, but still make her likable. Because you do have root for her the whole movie, but you've also got to understand why she had the need to go "little."
PS: Of course. Was there something about Jordan that you identified the most with? What do you think is important for viewers to understand about her character?
RH: I loved that she didn't take no for an answer and had so much tenacity and fortitude, even when she got her first no. Ultimately, I think it's really important that she believed in herself, and I love that. Being an actress, you get a million nos before you get a yes and you kind of have to always move forward, even when someone doesn't think you're right or doesn't think you're good enough or pretty enough or tall enough, whatever it may be. So I appreciated seeing Jordan in her world where she's always having to prove herself. And I kind of love that she had learned to navigate that world, especially since we don't see a lot of women in the tech industry. I love that she loves science. I loved that she continued to embrace that part of her.
PS: That was actually one of my favorite aspects of the movie, Jordan being in the tech industry and coming up with really innovative ideas like the personal assistant, Home Girl. Were you involved in any of the tech ideas or evolution of her character?
RH: Home Girl was already in the script, but I loved the idea of Home Girl. I loved the physical aspects of Home Girl's device and what it looked like. And thank you to Tracee Ellis Ross who did the voice for Home Girl! But yeah, I loved that idea and I loved the name. I loved that it was called Home Girl, which is like your virtual reality friend. For me, all those things mattered and I wish I had pitched it, I wish I was a tech-savvy girl! But I think showing Jordan in that world and being a pioneer in that world is just such an important symbol. I totally supported that.
PS: Oh, absolutely! And what is a great piece of advice you've been given that you would pass on to women like Jordan, or women trying to make their own dreams come true?
"It's nice to get validation, just remember it's your work that's most important."
RH: I think I remember, well this one's for acting, but I guess it'll be the same thing. I remember my publisher said - and I can't remember it exactly - but basically it was, "Don't let your press proceed your work." Meaning, make sure you do your work before you look for accolades and press. Sometimes it's nice to get validation, just remember it's your work that's always going to be most important. I wish I could think of the exact quote, and I'm sure I will as soon as I hang up, but I just remember it was very sound advice for me to not focus on that portion of entertainment. And it always made me think to perfect my craft.
PS: That is incredibly sound advice. I wanted to ask about your dynamic with Issa Rae, because your chemistry with her is palpable and it seemed like you guys really had a great time on set. How was it like working with her?
RH: We just had fun, you know what I mean? Issa and I knew each other for a year before this movie and off screen we wanted to work together and tried to create some other things. On set, we'd give each other lines like, "Ooh, this might be fun to try" and "Maybe say this or try that." I first saw her in Awkward Black Girl, and her just going from that and then onto Insecure, I think she's living advice for the next generation and I have such tremendous respect for what she does. We have fun together and we had a lot of fun working together for Little.
PS: And what was your favorite scene to shoot?
RH: You know what was really fun to shoot? The driving scene. I kind of like the idea that Jordan just almost caused an accident and weaved into traffic. It was interesting because we did a portion of it in front of a green screen and a portion of it live, so it was oddly fun.
PS: Oh, I thought you were just really whipping through the streets like that.
RH: No, no, there were stunt folks doing that and it was kind of fun. I wish I could whip through the streets like that!
Little is now in theaters.
Princess Beatrice Has Some Friends You'll Definitely Recognize
While her younger sister Princess Eugenie made headlines with the second royal wedding of 2018, Princess Beatrice of York has been somewhat out of the spotlight recently. The 30-year-old princess, who is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, may not be a working royal, but she's definitely a royal star. Princess Beatrice counts some pretty big names among her friends, from designers to musicians and more, and she reportedly runs with a pretty elite crowd on the regular. Ahead, check out some of the most recognizable members of the princess' squad and find out more about how they met.
Khalid’s Soothing Vocals Will Take You on a Euphonious Journey of Ups and Downs
The new generation of up-and-coming music artists is full of notable young talents, and one at the forefront is 21-year-old contemporary R&B singer Khalid. After the release of his 2017 debut studio album American Teen, Khalid's sweet and wistful vocals began taking over the airwaves and streaming services. Since then, it feels as if the El Paso, TX, crooner has been catapulted into the spotlight, and he keeps delivering top-notch jams.
In 2018, he won a Billboard Music Award for top new artist, an American Music Award for favorite male artist, and two Teen Choice Awards for choice R&B/hip-hop song and breakout star, among other honors. Already this year, he received five Grammy nominations and shows no signs of slowing down as he recently released his follow-up album, Free Spirit - only five months after dropping his EP Sun City - and is set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards for the second year in a row.
As a passionate music enthusiast, I'm usually able to remember when, where, and how I discover a new artist that I end up loving. Unfortunately, that's not the case with Khalid. I just remember hearing "Location" being played everywhere shortly after its release. I vibed with it, but I hadn't really listened to any of his other songs.
Fast forward to about eight months after American Teen dropped, and I suddenly found myself listening to the entire thing over and over again. Why? Well, I won't get into too many details, but I'll say it had something to do with a little thing called catching feelings (*shudders*). Things didn't work out in my favor, and I fell into a funk. So I did what I always do whenever I'm dealing with something: I played music nonstop. One tune led to another, and soon enough I was solely listening to American Teen.
That album helped me get through a pretty rough time (and multiple crying sessions). It was truly astonishing how it felt like he understood everything I was going through. If I didn't know any better, I'd think "Another Sad Love Song" and "Saved" were somehow written just for me. Before I knew it, I had healed, and his song "Angels" - which has a message of hope - became my go-to jam as I was finally brought out of my despondency.
Not only is that the power of music, but it's the power of an artist who is able to connect with listeners. No doubt, that's a skill set Khalid seems to naturally have. Ahead, check out some of his best songs to date!

Should You Remove Dip Powder Nails at Home? The Answer Might Surprise You
If you're a beauty enthusiast, you know there are a few cardinal rules. Don't wear mascara with your eyelash extensions; don't wax after a spray tan; and absolutely never peel off your gel manicure. When sporting a supershiny gel set, it is always advised to go and see your nail tech for proper removal. But not all manicures are created equal. When it comes to dip manicures, the rules are slightly different.
You don't need to wait to visit the salon when your nail are in need of removal, because with dip manicures, you can actually remove them at home. Risé Carter, director of education at LeChat Nails, gave POPSUGAR all the details of what to do and what not to do when it comes to removing dip manicure nails.
Carter explained that a dip manicure is "the easiest to remove because it uses a cyanoacrylate: a simple nail glue that is more sensitive to solvents," meaning that dip removes easier than traditional gel manicures. Of course, as with all at-home beauty experiences, there is a possibility of adverse reactions, but Carter said the worst thing a DIY dip manicure could do is cause drying of the skin around the nails (that's nothing a good cuticle oil or hand lotion can't fix).
How do you actually remove dip manicures? First, buff the shine of the nail surface, Carter explained, then reach for 100 percent pure acetone (you can buy this from most beauty supply stores). Loosen the cap, and place the bottle of acetone into a glass bowl of warm water for approximately 10 minutes. This will warm the acetone and make the process quicker. Afterward, empty the water out, and pour the acetone into the bowl. Carter said there are two options for removal: you can either soak the nails and place a dry towel over the hand and bowl, or use a saturated cotton pad on the nail and wrap your fingers in a small piece of foil.
Then kick back and relax, leaving the acetone to work its magic on the nails for 10 to 15 minutes. (Carter advises you don't keep looking to check it, just leave it be.) Finally, gently lift the dip powder off, wash your hands, and hydrate with lotion and oil. If the dip powder hasn't quite lifted, place back into the acetone for a further 10 minutes.
Behold, Every Step in Vanessa Hudgens’s 10-Part Skincare Routine
Getting skin like Vanessa Hudgens's takes work, but the actress doesn't see it that way. She told POPSUGAR that her skincare routine spans 10 parts and is as follows: cleanse, steam, toner, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, face mask (sometimes), light therapy, NuFace ($325), and a high-frequency machine. Excuse us, as we catch our breath.
She explained that she has a system for both the morning and evening, and that it's the part of her beauty routine that has changed the most over the years. "I went from barely doing anything to having a 10-step process that I won't go on without," she said.
The reason for the expansive routine isn't just for the sake of a glowy, smooth complexion. "Setting aside the time for a self-care regimen feels like an act of self-love."
When it comes to other acts of self-care, she loves painting her nails and taking the time to indulge in a moisturizing hair mask. "It is a nice meditative thing to do at home," Hudgens said. She just launched a nine-piece collection with SinfulColors (she's an ambassador for the brand) of metallics and iridescent shades called Cosmic Dreams. As for her hair mask, she likes to pamper herself with one by Kerastase. See what Hudgens uses in her beauty routine, ahead.
This Brand's Selling a Makeup Palette Shaped Like a Burger, and Uh, I'll Take Fries With That
Glamlite Cosmetics is proving once again that you don't have to just eat your favorite comfort foods, you can wear them, too. The cosmetics brand and mastermind behind last year's wildly popular Pizza Palette is back with an all-new eye shadow palette that's modeled after a cheeseburger with all the fixings.
The Burger Palette, as it's called, was inspired by founder Gisselle Hernandez's love of cheeseburgers. Like its pizza-themed predecessor, it features 16 matte and metallic shades that are all named after burger toppings and sides, of course. From Blue Cheese, a metallic silver, to Onion Rings, a burnt orange, the palette pretty much has any color you need to make your next look catch as many eyes as possible.
The palette is currently available for pre-order on Glamlite's official website, where it retails for $40. Read ahead to shop and take a look at a few fun product images.
This Spring, Celebrities Are Switching Up Their Hair Color in the Most Unexpected Way
In the same way Spring has convinced us to do a complete overhaul of our closets, break it off with those people we met on Bumble during cuffing season, and chop our hair to the shortest it has ever been, the season has also inspired celebrities to make big changes with their hair colors.
These aren't exactly the changes you see every year, either. Jada Pinkett Smith, for example, has upped the brightness factor of her previous blond shade by a million. Bella Hadid has done a complete 180, going back in time to her natural shade. Some have traded in their signature colorful hues for something much darker, while others are embracing the most electric shades on the color wheel.
There's just something about the season that screams, "Try something different," and stars are following the suggestion. Ahead, see the biggest celebrity hair color changes as of late. If you're feeling the itch to grab some hair dye, you'll want to read this first.
This Website Is Basically OpenTable For Your City's Most Luxurious Beauty Treatments
Whether we need two-day delivery on home necessities (and lip masks . . . which, in our opinion, are also a necessity) or date-night reservations, it has never been easier to access what we need than it is today. That's because Regi - a platform that allows you to book beauty treatments in your area online or via text - just launched, and it will take your beauty routine to new heights. You'll be able to book everything like facials at top-rated spas, eyebrow-shaping sessions, and that 60-minute nail art appointment that you schedule each week for self-care.
For now, the platform scours for services in the New York City and Los Angeles area, but the company told POPSUGAR it plans to expand to more areas later this year. Ahead, see a preview of the website, which puts all of your beauty indulgences in the palm of your hand.
This Mask Is the Drink of Water My Dry Lips Craved (and It's Only $5 on Amazon Prime)
Having just spent the weekend snowboarding in Whistler, Canada - which, if you had no idea, is still freezing this time of year - every part of my body hurt. The body part that I didn't expect to be achy when I returned home was my lips.
Having been exposed to the harsh air that comes with going 25 miles per hour down a mountain, my mouth was tender to the touch, so much so that smearing balms and salves over them only did so much. Fortunately, the Fast Beauty Co. Lip Service! Mask ($5) is a treatment I've been saving for a situation like this - when nothing, not even my favorite peppermint-infused lip balm, could do the trick.
I pulled the sleeve open and peeled the slippery white mask from its packaging. I laid it on my mouth. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a slit across the middle that allowed me to talk . . . well, mumble. I kept it on for the suggested five minutes. In that time, my lips felt like they were being gently massaged, due to a slight tingle that was similar to that of a mild lip plumper. It made the tenderness of my lips feel like a distant memory. Once I peeled off the mask, my mouth felt softer, and the lines underneath my lower lip where my mouth was most chapped seemed to have disappeared.
The best part was that the mask itself was $5. For soft, moisturized lips, you can't beat that.

Grande already has an assortment of popular fragrances, such as Cloud, Ari by Ariana Grande, Moonlight, and Sweet Like Candy, that are available at Ulta.

4 Editors Get Real About Their Laser Hair Removal Experiences
Laser hair removal is a pretty sweet deal, that is, if going hairless is the ultimate goal.
Think about it: after going through the prescribed amount of sessions, which can last as little as 10 minutes, you'll be able to trade the weekly shaving sessions or monthly wax appointment for a touch-up appointment once every few years. The magic wand that emits the monochromatic hair-follicle-impairing light needs to target the pigment at the root, so experts actually recommend that you shouldn't wax again after your first treatment. You'll even find that the fibers sprout back less frequently in between appointments (if you don't miss any).
Like we said, it's a sweet deal, but you might be wondering about any downsides, and specifically, how much a session under the lights hurts. Four editors get real about their laser hair removal experiences, ahead.

Michelle Obama Is Like the Queen of Spring in This Pastel Suit and Crystal-Covered Heels
Michelle Obama may be on a book tour, but she might as well be at a photo shoot because she is on an absolute fashion roll this week - just look at the sparkly pink suit she wore in Copenhagen. While on tour in Stockholm on Wednesday for her New York Times bestseller, Becoming, the former FLOTUS was seen wearing a custom Acne Studios embroidered suit in very pale pastel green wool - and this outfit is an instant Spring favorite.

36 Fresh Denim Jacket Outfit Ideas For Spring and Summer, Plus Our Favorite $48 Version
Few layers work as hard in our wardrobes as the trusty denim jacket, especially year round. Both nostalgic and modern, the casual-cool staple never fails - in high school, my American Eagle version served as a status symbol, carrying me from classes to mall hangs and school dances. Now, I lean on an assortment of vintage and tailored styles as the perfect midweight layer for work, weekend activities, and, well, basically any time I don't feel like wearing a blazer or trench coat.
Designers are continuing to reinvent the denim jacket each season, whether it's a reconstructed shape, an updated take on a classic style, or a unique approach to styling the closet staple on the runway. This inevitably translates to the street style scene, where fashion insiders and It girls are championing looks like head-to-toe denim, offsetting feminine staples with the laid-back layer, or mixing it with sporty and tailored pieces for a refreshingly modern look. On the funkier end of the spectrum, they're mixing denim jackets with colored denim for a playful take on the Canadian tuxedo and even combining with athleisure pieces for comfy-cute looks you can wear while running errands, on the weekends, or when traveling.
So, in the spirit of rethinking tried-and-true basics we'll never quit, I've pulled 36 of my favorite outfits from the street style scene, all of which offer a fresh perspective on the denim jacket, whether your style is eclectic, feminine, sporty, or polished. Plus, I've included two affordable denim jackets to shop from the POPSUGAR collection at Kohl's in both classic blue and off-white - my favorite for Summer!

How to Wear Tie-Dye Like It's 2019, Not 1999
Tie-dye can be traced back to the '60s, but the last time you wore it was probably in 1999, in the form of a ribbed tank top with a denim miniskirt and chunky Steve Madden slide sandals. After the groovy print was splashed onto practically every Spring runway, the fashion stars of Instagram held, like, a really important meeting to discuss new styling methods. Just kidding, that didn't happen. But it's safe to say women are taking note from one another and coming up with ideas for coordinating tie-dye with slip skirts, checked coats, heck, even business suits. Below, we're noting our favorite fresh takes on the throwback trend so far, and sharing our psychedelic shopping list with you, too.

4 Easy Ways to Wear the Tie-Dye Trend Without Looking Like a Blast From the Past
If you're an adult figuring out how to wear tie-dye without looking like your adolescent self, I'm with you. And, because I love pushing myself outside my comfort zone when it come to fashion, I'm also here for you. When our team - and really, whole office - wondered how to wear the tie-dye trend IRL, you better believe I volunteered myself as tribute, Katniss-Everdeen-style.
While the trend seemed easy to wear on the runways of Calvin Klein Collection (miss you already), Proenza Schouler, and R13, I quickly realized that it's a totally different ballgame to wear the trend out on the streets. How could I actually pull off the cool trend without looking like I was counselor in charge of the friendship bracelet station at your local day camp?
Since the print is a bold one, it's easy to be afraid of falling off the wagon and ending up looking like a 10-year-old heading to camp, a year-round Summer festival attendee, or like you found a time machine and transported to us straight from Woodstock. With a little inspiration from celebrities like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber (Yep, the Biebs, surprisingly, has worn a ton of great outfits!), I found four easy ways to wear tie-dye. The trick is to make the tie-dye pieces the center of your outfit and keep the rest of the styling contemporary (think: high-waist trouser denim versus light-wash distressed jeans).
Ahead, read on to see how I styled the print, and shop some of my favorite selects to get in on the trend.

"Through this collaboration we are taking a step toward giving more women access to designer clothing and we are thrilled to be further expanding our mission by collaborating with a high fashion brand."

Killing Eve's Style Slays - Here's How to Get the Look For Less
When a friend told me I should be watching Killing Eve, she failed to mention that it comes with one of the greatest modern TV wardrobes. You'll come for the binge-worthy drama and the all-star acting (ICYMI, Sandra Oh swept award season last year, earning a Golden Globe, Critic's Choice, and SAG award for her performance), and if you're anything like me, you'll stay for the fashion. Costume designer Charlotte Mitchell is at the helm for season two, crafting a killer wardrobe, wherein she outfits Russian hitwoman Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer, in scene-stealing couture.
She's dressed the part of assassin on the job, but off-duty, the looks are a dreamy mix of designer finds from Burberry, Chloé, and Dries van Noten, serving up a side of fantasy-inducing fashion right along with a hearty helping of TV drama. Just the way we like it.
With the first episode of the new season behind us, we're diving into all the latest looks. And, in case Villanelle's ensembles have you feeling inspired to shop, we did that, too - only these looks ring in a bit more budget-friendly than her luxe onscreen duds. Get caught up right here and tune in Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on BBC America and AMC to watch.
Ashley Graham Is a Girl After My Own Heart - She Ate Cheetos in This "Itty Bitty" Bikini
Oh, Ashley Graham. As if we didn't love you already, you had to go and be even more relatable! While we are used to seeing the curve model in sexy bikinis, she took it up a notch in her latest swimsuit pic. Ashley, who's shooting a project in the Dominican Republic, posted a bikinigram from on location. She posted a picture of herself in a yellow floral string bikini while eating a bag of Cheetos because, ya know, she's our hero and all. Her printed bikini came with a pair of high-leg bottoms that were ruched. Read on to see her smokin' hot bikini and shop similar versions.
Priyanka Chopra's Sexy Date-Night Suit Definitely Doesn't Belong in the Office
You guys, I don't even wear skirt suits to the office. I wear jeans - a hoodie, when I'm feeling extra lazy. But wham! Priyanka Chopra just woke me up. When she stepped out for date night with Nick Jonas at Dan Tana's in West Hollywood, she was wearing a fitted blazer and pencil skirt that hugged her curves and amplified the sex appeal of the whole ensemble. Yes, I know, Nick was in jeans and a tee, LOL. But who cares? I love that Priyanka stays true to her glamorous sense of style no matter where she goes. The actress accessorized her double-breasted, plunging cropped blazer and sage midi with sock boots and a leather top-handle bag. She looked ready for business or pleasure, and frankly, there's no better way to stay prepared. It all starts with the clothes.
Every Question You've Ever Had About the Met Gala, Answered
We don't expect you to know that Vogue editor Anna Wintour has been cochairing the Met Gala since 1999, but you should absolutely know she's the woman behind the annual event, which always falls on the first Monday in May. And you don't need to know exactly how much money the ball raises for the Met's Costume Institute, but you should be aware that behind all the glitz and glamour on the red carpet, there's a curated exhibit for attendees (and eventually you) to enjoy.
But this year, Hollywood's elite won't be the only guests attending this high-profile event. Wintour has decided to open the Met's doors to the public, with tickets starting at $35,000 and tables ranging from a whopping $200,000 to $300,000, according to an article in The Hollywood Reporter. The theme - Camp: Notes on Fashion - explores exaggerated fashion, and will be cohosted by A-list stars including Serena Williams, Lady Gaga, and Harry Styles, with special guests like power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. What goes into planning not only the display, but also the most anticipated, exclusive night in fashion? Anna Wintour handles the seating charts and taps a couple of celebrity performers to entertain, but we're sure you have more questions than that, now don't you?
Michelle Obama Just Wore a Crystal-Encrusted Pink Suit, So Excuse Me While I Freak Out
Michelle Obama is not afraid to wear an outfit that means business. The former FLOTUS rocked a pastel pink suit by Danish designer Stine Goya while attending an event for her memoir, Becoming, in Copenhagen.
As if the light pink hue wasn't enough for us to go gaga over, her outfit was also covered with bursts of crystals. To match the sparkly look, Michelle styled her sophisticated suit with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo heels and Vhernier earrings. Read on to see her full ensemble and buy the exact same suit in blue, as well as more affordable versions.
Guess How Much You Can Pay to See Bradley Cooper and Blake Lively at the Met Gala?
W-w-w-wait. You can purchase tickets to the Met Gala this year? That's news to us. For a whopping $35,000, you'll be supporting the institute and also getting the opportunity to see the 2019 star-studded committee stroll in. For the "Camp: Notes on Fashion"-themed event - curated by Andrew Bolton - Bradley Cooper, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Lupita Nyong'o, Alex Rodriguez, and Jennifer Lopez are definite confirmations, and there's even a rumor that Cher will show up to sit at one of the tables, which apparently cost $200,000-$300,000. The official hosts include Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams, and Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele - there's really no better group to rally behind the iconic, over-the-top style moments that will be on display. Ahead, get a sneak peek at the guest list so far, provided by Anna Wintour herself to The Hollywood Reporter.
I Almost Forgot What to Wear on a Day Date, Then I Saw Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski spent the morning with her husband, Sebastian, brunching in NYC before attending Marc Jacobs's wedding in the evening. What a lovely way to spend a day - and in a smoking hot set, no less. The supermodel slipped into a ruched '80s sport look from Miaou, ringing in at $390. The miniskirt and crop top featured neon pulls, so she could adjust the height of her hemlines, and Emily accessorized with white Adidas Samba sneakers, a red chain-strap purse, and round sunglasses. The whole ensemble was very signature Emily: sexy, but relaxed. We like to think she was beckoning Summer, which is *hopefully* just around the corner. At least now we'll know exactly what to wear when babe says, "Hey, let's go grab a bite."
The Mediterranean Diet Focuses on Lean Sources of Protein - Here's Exactly What That Means
Protein is an essential part of any diet, including the Mediterranean diet. While it's primarily plant-based, you actually can (and should!) have meat on this healthy eating plan. To fully reap the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, however, you'll need to be mindful of your choices.
First, let's talk about why protein deserves a spot on your plate. "Protein is especially important because it aids in the production of enzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters, and antibodies throughout your body," Mary Claire Shurina, MS, RD, LD, told POPSUGAR. "It also helps with the growth and repair of cells within our hair, skin, muscles, bones, and internal organs." Basically, protein plays a pretty important role in a lot of the things your body is doing behind the scenes.
While no foods are entirely off-limits on the Mediterranean diet, you do want to limit proteins like beef and pork to no more than one serving per week. "Saturated fat is found in high levels in butter, pork, beef, lamb, and processed meats like bacon and sausage," Mary Claire explained. "Excessive intake of saturated fat is associated with higher risk of chronic illness and certain types of cancer."
This is one reason the Mediterranean diet is linked with a lower occurrence of disease, because unlike some other diets, it emphasizes lean sources of protein. Here's what to look for during your next shopping trip.
1. Fish and Seafood
Fish and other seafood like shrimp and scallops are probably the most common proteins on the Mediterranean diet. In addition to providing protein, some fattier varieties of fish are also healthy sources of omega-3 fatty acids. "These fats are especially beneficial for brain and heart health," Mary Claire told POPSUGAR. When seeking out seafood, she recommends looking for salmon, sardines, mackerel, and albacore tuna to get your fill of protein and healthy fats.
2. Poultry
Poultry typically includes chicken, turkey, and duck, but can be any type of fowl you enjoy. Most poultry is relatively lean and has "low levels of saturated fat compared to red meat and pork," Mary Claire said. On the Mediterranean diet, you want to increase consumption of unsaturated fats and limit consumption of saturated fats, so chicken breast or roast turkey can make a great addition to your meals.
3. Eggs
Eggs are another excellent source of protein because they are also packed with additional vitamins and minerals, according to Mary Claire. When you're making that veggie-filled omelet, "don't skimp on the yolks," she said. "Egg yolks are rich in vitamins A and D and certain antioxidants that are beneficial for eye health."
CBD Worked Wonders For My Anxiety, but Only After I Started Doing This 1 Thing
I have struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember - I was that kid who was too afraid to go on the monkey bars and conveniently had to go to the bathroom as soon as it was my turn to ride a roller coaster. It wasn't until I was officially diagnosed with depression and anxiety when I was 14 that I started taking medication for it. Fast forward to my mid-20s when I was diagnosed with bipolar II and started taking a different cocktail of medication, which helped many of my bipolar symptoms (including anxiety) but isn't a cure-all.
To manage my anxiety, I still take my medication in addition to other lifestyle factors, including getting enough sleep, exercising, and eating minimal processed foods. Although I don't take any benzodiazepines for anxiety (Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin) - no judgment to those who need it, my psychiatrist just doesn't prescribe them - I was interested in trying CBD after I had heard all the benefits it could do for anxiety. CBD has been getting lots of buzz lately, but it won't get you buzzed; CBD stands for cannabidiol, the nonpsychoactive component of cannabis. Unlike THC, the component in marijuana that gets you "high," CBD has no THC and doesn't deliver the sensation of getting high or stoned. Instead, CBD is used for its calming and pain-relieving effects. Plus, it's (mostly) legal and won't show up in a drug test. CBD is found in dozens of products including tinctures, creams, beauty products, candy, sparkling water, and more.

When I first started taking CBD for anxiety, I would only take it as I needed it. As in, when my symptoms were bad; I'm talking horrible intrusive thoughts, increased heart rate, inability to concentrate, and catastrophizing everything. Although I noticed a little bit of a difference, it wasn't nearly enough to really help. My mind would still be racing, and I would still have butterflies in my stomach. It wasn't until I attended a CBD-themed dinner that I started talking to others who take CBD for anxiety.
"How often do you take it?" someone asked. I told her just as I needed it, which ended up being a few times a week. She suggested I take it every day to allow it to build up in my system. Although I wasn't exactly sure of the science behind this - a Google search didn't yield any well-vetted reliable info - I decided it wouldn't hurt to try. When my anxiety gets to borderline debilitating, I'm willing to try anything. And since I hadn't had any side effects from CBD thus far, I was willing to experiment on myself and take CBD every day.
My preferred method of taking CBD is via a tincture administered sublingually (absorbed in the veins under the tongue). According to a post on Medium, this takes about 15-25 minutes to take effect, depending on your height, your weight, and the quality of CBD. But to really reap the benefits of it, I started administering 20-40 milligrams of CBD like this every day. It took some trial and error to figure out the best dosage for me, but right now that's around 30-40 milligrams once or twice a day: once in the morning and, if I need it, another time in the afternoon.
Related: I Took CBD Oil For 7 Days For Anxiety - Here's What Happened
After a few days, I already noticed a major difference. I was more mellowed out overall and didn't have as many of my typical symptoms of anxiety. A couple weeks in, my intrusive thoughts virtually disappeared. My stomach was more calm, my heart rate got to a normal pace, and I didn't struggle with worrying about the worst-case scenario in every single situation. I would still have the occasional flare-up of my anxiety symptoms, but it wasn't nearly as consistent or severe as it was before.
I'm not implying that CBD is a cure for anxiety; anxiety is a serious mental illness that should be treated under the supervision of a medical professional, especially if you are experiencing severe symptoms and it's disrupting your everyday life. Since I already take a cocktail of medication to address my mental illness, which includes anxiety, I was seeking something else that could supplement my treatment. Fortunately, I realized CBD works for me. If you've been curious to try CBD for mild to moderate anxiety, start with a low dose (around 10 milligrams) and take it every day. Eventually, you can play around with the dosage and work your way up to a regimen that works for you.

Can Running Help You Get a Six-Pack? 2 Experts Explain How It Can - and Why It Might Not
There are a few things you can count on running for: a heart-pumping cardio workout, fat burn, a metabolism boost, and mental-health benefits, to name a few. Based on soreness after long or fast runs, it's safe to say your legs are getting a pretty good workout, too. When it comes to your abs and core, though, things are a little more complicated. Beyond its other benefits, can we consider running a good core workout?
Running Activates and Engages Your Core
"I do think that your core gets certain benefits from running," said Steven Mayer, MD, sports medicine specialist at the Northwestern Medicine Running Clinic. He explained that you "run from your core," using it to balance and stabilize yourself. The more you use and engage your core muscles, Dr. Mayer said, the stronger they'll get.
Ashley Kelly, an Olympic runner and NASM-certified personal trainer at Bach in New York, explained that you use your core muscles during certain running motions, as well as when you're absorbing impact and maintaining form during longer runs. Your abs are definitely in use and engaged during running, but as far as actively building them and making them stronger, Kelly said, running is not the most effective choice. In fact, she said, the relationship is actually inverse: "You need to first have a strong core to run strong, not the other way around."
Both Kelly and Dr. Mayer agreed that even though your abs and core are important for running, they won't get stronger just through running alone. "Running contributes to core fitness to at least a mild extent," Dr. Mayer told POPSUGAR. "But if you really want to strengthen your core, you have to focus on core exercises." Core engagement is more like a side effect of running, rather than the focus. And to build strong core muscles and abs, Kelly said, "It is vital to perform exercises that target those muscles specifically."
Can You Make Running a Better Core Workout?
Still, there are a few strategies you can use to get the most core engagement out of your run. "You have to focus on breathing," Kelly explained, inhaling deep into your diaphragm as opposed to taking short breaths from your chest. When you get fatigued, she added, try to brace your core, tightening it like you're preparing for a punch in the stomach. That keeps your core engaged even when you start feeling tired.
And if abs and a flat belly are your goals, running can still be a helpful tool. It can help you burn fat, Kelly and Dr. Mayer agreed, including around your midsection, which can make your abs more visible. (This is dependent on diet, too; overeating due to post-run hunger can actually make you gain weight.) And the relationship between running and core strength is still an important one. "A strong and stable core helps improve running mechanics and stability in your knees, ankle, and hips, which minimizes injuries," Kelly told POPSUGAR.
So no, your runs alone won't give you a six-pack, but they can definitely help reduce belly fat and make your abs pop. Core-specific exercises are still the golden ticket to stronger abs and can help you be a better runner, too. Start with this 10-minute ab workout for runners and see how much of a difference a strong core can make.
I Tried RightRice, the Lower-Carb, Higher-Protein Rice, and Here's What I Thought
The low-carb train isn't coming to a halt anytime soon, and so many companies are trying to make lower-carb alternatives to satisfy their customers' carb-loving needs. And while cauliflower rice has been a great rice alternative, if you're bored of it and wish it offered more protein, you'll want to check out RightRice. It's made out of lentil flour, chickpea flour, and pea fiber, but it's shaped like little rice grains.
How Does It Compare to Rice Nutritionally?
A one-third cup serving of dry RightRice is 180 calories and has 30 grams of carbs, five grams of fiber, and 10 grams of protein. The same one-third cup serving of uncooked long-grain brown rice has 224 calories, 46.5 grams of carbs, 2.2 grams of fiber, and 4.6 grams of protein.
Not only does RightRice have fewer calories and carbs, it has more than twice the amount of fiber and protein, so it will leave you feeling more satiated after a meal. You'll also get 15 percent of your daily iron (thank you beans!) and 12 percent of your daily potassium.
How Long Does It Take to Cook?
When cooking regular rice, depending on the kind you choose, it can take 30 to 45 minutes, but this RightRice only takes 12 minutes! Just add the contents of the bag to a pan with 1 1/3 cups of water, bring it to a boil, cover it, turn off the heat, and in 12 minutes, your RightRice is done! It's so much quicker than regular rice, so that was a huge plus!
How Does It Taste?
I cooked up the Original flavor, and my initial reaction when I fluffed the cooked rice with a fork was that it looked like rice, but it had a very strong, beany smell. I was pleasantly surprised that after trying my first spoonful that it tasted nothing like it smelled. It had a very mild rice flavor, but tasted like it had been cooked in light veggie broth. I liked it!
The texture was soft and sticky, but more like orzo pasta than, say, short-grain brown rice. RightRice offers three other flavors besides Original: Lemon Pepper, Garlic Herb, and Spanish.
Would I Eat It Again?
Honestly, I love good ol' rice. I don't have a problem with the carb count, and I love that it's just one ingredient. This RightRice Original flavor is made with five ingredients, so it's more processed than real rice. As a plant-based eater, I love lentils and chickpeas, so I'd be more inclined to just eat those.
But I also know that getting enough protein is tough when you're eating plant-based, so in that respect, this rice would make a great addition if I was going to make curry with rice or tofu fried rice. I think mixing this rice with half regular rice would be amazing! I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors.
If You've Had Any of These Symptoms Since Spring Began, You're Probably Allergic to Pollen
If this warmer weather sends you into never-ending bouts of sniffling and sneezing, there's a good chance you suffer from seasonal allergies - and more specifically, a pollen allergy. But if you think pollen is only found in flowers, think again. "There are different types of pollen," Kanao Otsu, MD, MPH, an allergist and immunologist at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO, told POPSUGAR. "Trees, grasses, and weeds are typically the three groups of vegetation that produce pollen that affect or cause allergic symptoms."
Dr. Otsu explained that this allergic response, known clinically as allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, often presents with the following symptoms:
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Nasal congestion
- Nasal itching
- Watery, itchy, or red eyes
- Post-nasal drainage
- A persistent cough
- Fatigue
- Irritability
According to Dr. Otsu, you're most at risk of developing pollen allergies if you have a family history of them, particularly on your mother's side. This includes related conditions like eczema or asthma.
Related: It's Officially Spring - Before You Go For a Run Outside, Take These Allergists' Advice
If you think you might suffer from seasonal allergies, it's time to make an appointment with an allergist, who will take down a history of your symptoms. "If you tend to have symptoms every Spring and Fall, you're most likely allergic to trees and weeds," Dr. Otsu said. A skin prick test can confirm exactly which type of pollen you're allergic to. "Skin testing panels differ by geographic location, which help test the most common allergens to that specific region," she said.
Once you've been diagnosed, there are a few options for treatment, including internasal steroids (like Flonase or Aller-Flo) and oral antihistamines (like Zyrtec or Allegra). For people with severe symptoms, Dr. Otsu explained that allergy immunotherapy may be an option. This is a series of shots over the course of three to five years that essentially lessens the allergic reaction by modifying the immune system's response to a specific allergen. "This is currently only offered in the US as allergy shots, but in the near future there may be other forms of allergen immunotherapy such as drops or tablets that dissolve under the tongue," she said.
