You Can Win a Sleepover at the Freakin' Louvre Museum, and I'm Wholeheartedly Shook

If you grew up obsessed with the Night at the Museum movie series, you're going to flip out over the latest news from Airbnb. The company just launched a contest that allows two lucky people to stay overnight in the Louvre Museum to see if the sculptures really do come to life once the sun goes down. Yes, the Louvre, as in that superfamous monument in Paris that houses some of the world's most renowned works of art, including the "Mona Lisa." This may sound too good to possibly be true, but it's very real and most definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if I've ever seen one.

Airbnb's Night@ franchise is hosting the contest in honor of the Louvre Pyramid's 30th anniversary, granting one winner and their guest up-close-and-personal access to the Paris museum's masterpieces - without all the usual selfie-stick-toting tourists around. On April 30, the two art-lovers will first be greeted by an art historian who will guide them on a personal tour of the grounds (which is something that only the likes of Barack Obama, Beyoncé, and JAY-Z have done, BTW). Following the tour, the pair will then enjoy a drink while sitting in front of Leonardo da Vinci's one and only "Mona Lisa" painting (cheers, Mona!), and chow down on dinner in the presence of the "Venus de Milo" statue. To cap the night off, the contest winners will lounge and sleep under the museum's Instagram-famous glass pyramid in a mini lookalike version.

I'm sure at this point your eyes are wide in disbelief and you're wondering, "OK, how the heck do I enter this contest?!" All you have to do is visit airbnb.com/louvre before April 12 and answer the following question: why would you be the Mona Lisa's perfect guest? Easy enough, right? Before brainstorming your answer, check out a sneak peek of what the experience will look like below, and you'll definitely feel inspired to come up with the most creative answer possible.

I Reunited With My First Love in Adulthood . . . and It Was a Disaster

It's the stuff rom-coms are made of: teen boy meets teen girl, and they fall in love, have typically dramatic breakup, reunite as adults, and realize the spark never died. Wedded bliss ensues, right? Right?

When my first love came sweeping back into my life a few years ago, I couldn't help but think that we were stepping into the happy ending of a Hallmark movie. After all, if cheesy films taught me anything, it's that the bigger the drama, the truer the love, right? And boy, did we have drama.

John and I were each other's first loves, but as they say, the course of true love never ran smooth. Back in high school, he won me over with his brash charm and secret romantic side, but to everyone else, he was known as a hothead with a hair-trigger temper. A soccer star, John was as infamous for his tantrums as he was for his hat-tricks. One time, he actually threw a folding chair at a referee, a move (dumb) 17-year-old me found exciting and manly. "That's not a red card, that's a red flag," my best friend Erin said at the time, but I just rolled my eyes and screeched that John was simply trying to find himself.

"I wasted the last 10 years of my life without you, and I don't want to waste one more," he declared.

But the occasional game-day meltdown (which he always laughed off) wasn't John's only sin. The morning after I lost my virginity to him, I found out he'd cheated on me with my friend Liza. Numb and reeling from the betrayal, I dumped him and never spoke to Liza again, which added a layer of pain and unfairness to an already agonizing situation. He went off to USC, and I threw myself into life at Cal Poly, not dating anyone seriously until senior year.

I kept up with John through mutual friends; I refused to add him on Facebook (I love a good grudge), so Erin would feed me info about him, from his burgeoning real estate company to the fact that he was - ahem! - still single and would ask about me whenever he ran into her.

Obviously John had grown up and matured, or at least channeled that tempestuousness into business prowess. So when he texted me "I miss you" out of the blue a decade after we called it quits, I found myself more than willing to pick up where we left off. I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the idea of ending up with my first love. What could be more romantic than that? Besides, after five years of dating in New York City, I was aching for someone who knew the real me and who loved me when I was a dorky teen with a Justin Timberlake obsession.

After a flurry of FaceTimes and late-night calls just like way back when, John said he was coming to Manhattan for business - and to see me. "I wasted the last 10 years of my life without you, and I don't want to waste one more," he declared with the same boldness I'd fallen for as a teen, reinforcing my belief that, yes, all those youthful indiscretions were just that!

Well.

The first three days were spent in a bliss cocoon. I felt 17 again and giddily in love. All of John's typical teenage boy "feelings are stupid" vibes were gone, replaced by a steady and sure, grown-ass man. On day four, we had a wine-soaked dinner with his business partners, all friends since their frat days. The boys joked and teased each other in good fun, but things took a turn when John ribbed his partner Brian over his failed first marriage.

"Ha!" Brian guffawed, taking another slug of Cabernet. "Tough talk from a guy whose hairline is making a run for it." My eyes flashed to John's face, and I froze - it was the same look as when he'd tried to take off a man's head with a metal chair.

In an instant, there was the sound of shattering glass. John had lobbed his water glass at the wall, nearly hitting a waitress. Before anyone could react, he stalked out of the restaurant and into the humid Summer night. We sat there, stunned and horrified. Had that just happened? Brian peeled off a few $100 bills to smooth things over with the staff, and I went to John's hotel, where I found him . . . completely unbothered.

"Yeah, sorry, Brian was just pissing me off," he said flatly, flipping through channels before switching off the TV and taking my hands in his. "Listen, thank you for putting up with me. You always have, and I know I don't deserve it. You're my angel, and I . . . I love you."

Even when we were dating, he'd never said it. Maybe part of him knew that this was exactly the right time to drop those three words to reel me back in. And I'm sad to say it worked. I put the incident behind us and spent the next week back in a happy(ish) bubble with him.

The night before John was set to leave, we had a long talk. He asked me to move back to LA with him, and I found myself saying yes. It all just seemed perfect, right? I mean, Brian probably knew better than to tease John about his hair. Who could blame him for flipping out, right?

"Look, I want to tell you something," he said slowly. "I just want us to start our lives together being honest, so . . . a few weeks ago, I slept with Erin."

"Erin, like, my best friend Erin?"

I actually laughed, because I couldn't believe it was true. A few weeks ago, John and I were already talking again. And even if we weren't, my best friend slept with my first love? Was I hallucinating? Was this happening?

I don't even fully remember what John said next, I was too disgusted to even hear him. Something about running into her after too many beers and only wanting her because she reminded him of me. That's when suddenly, while sitting on the bed in the Gramercy Park Hotel, it all became so painfully clear: John had not changed. He was still the same thoughtless, reckless, violent guy everyone else recognized him as. Only now he was just dressed up in a fancy suit. And he definitely didn't love me. If he did, he'd at least have had the courtesy to cheat with strangers instead of my best friends.

And even worse, I had to ask myself whether or not I had changed. Or was I basically just the same smitten teenage girl willing to make excuses for her obviously bad-news boyfriend, all in the name of some juvenile fairy-tale ending? I answered myself by walking out of John's hotel without uttering one more word to him - and haven't since. I blocked his number and told my friends to do the same. At least, the mutual friends I had left; Erin weepily apologized when confronted, but I couldn't bring myself to stay friends with her. Just like when I was 17, I'd lost the guy and the girl.

Looking back, I realized that life isn't - and shouldn't be - a rom-com plot. And getting caught up in the mythology of your first love can be a recipe for disaster. On one hand, yes, timing really is everything. But it's called a breakup because it's broken. So from now on, I'll keep my recycling to paper and plastic - not men!

What Happens When You Don't Have Enough Friends to Be Your Bridesmaids?

Whoever said that it's "better to have just a few close friends than lots of shallow friends" clearly never had to put together a bridal party with only two girlfriends.

When I realized my husband - then boyfriend - was probably going to propose soon, a wave of anxiety washed over me. Not because I didn't want to get married - I had wanted to marry him since our second date. The anxiety had more to do with the fact that I only had two female friends, while my boyfriend had an entire entourage of buddies. While he joked about "narrowing down" the options for groomsmen, I stayed up at night worrying about whether I could get a Real Doll to animate down the aisle behind me.

Even though I wasn't engaged yet, I knew that I needed to start making bridesmaid-worthy friends long before the engagement. I mean, who wants to be a bridesmaid for someone they just met? So I went on my hunt for new girlfriends.

First of all, I should explain that I've never had much luck with female friends. I know what you're thinking. And the answer is no, I'm not about to say that girls are so much drama and so catty, and I just like beer and football and being "one of the guys" (all while wearing a crop top and eyelash extensions because, tee hee, girls are so jealous of how hot I am!). No. I am a girlie-girl, I hate football, and I don't think anyone is jealous of me. I'm just socially awkward. I probably talk too much about myself. I don't ask questions about where people are from or where they work, because I don't really care. I'd much rather hear about whether or not they secretly resent their mothers. I overshare. I go up to people at parties and ask them if they see a therapist and when they lost their virginity. It also doesn't help that girls bullied me throughout middle school until I switched schools - in 2002, my "best friends" voted me off their cafeteria table à la Survivor, and they literally said "the tribe has spoken" - so I go into any interactions with women with an underlying level of social anxiety. I suppose men don't find me any more palatable than women do, but I've never actively tried to find platonic male friends, so I wouldn't know.

My hunt for new female friends proved challenging. I felt like a struggling pickup artist who was one rejection away from going full neck-beard.

In any case, my hunt for new female friends proved challenging. I felt like a struggling pickup artist who was one rejection away from going full-neckbeard. I would go up to girls at bars, at parties, or at work, and try to get to know them, get their numbers, and "hang out sometime." My opener? "Oh my god, I love your top!" This quickly became very demoralizing.

A few girls in particular stick out to me. There was Debbie, a girl I met at a costume party in a hotel venue, who immediately traded numbers with me and said she wanted to hang out. I never heard from her until three years later when she emailed me asking me to ghost write her autobiography.

Then there were the many, many girls I met at house parties. I'd open with "Oh my god, I love your top," and often they'd trade numbers with me after having an hour-long drunken conversation over a bottle of Trader Joe's chardonnay. I'd text them the next day to say it was great meeting them, they'd say "oh my god, me too!", then I'd text them later that week to see if they wanted to go out that weekend. They would never reply.

Sometimes I couldn't even get a number. I met a girl around my age at my gym who lamented being new in town and having such a hard time making friends. Figuring this was some kind of hint that I should befriend her, I asked for her number and said I'd be happy to show her around the city. She gave me a fake number.

Occasionally, I got a little farther than a number. I had more "first dates" than I can remember. They never went badly (at least not from my end), but they also never resulted in a second date. Only repeated texts that, "We have to do that again sometime, but so busy!"

At this point you are probably thinking, "Why go to all this trouble? So what, you had two friends. Just rock those two friends in your mismatched wedding party and embrace being weird!"

Here's the thing: no. I would not succumb to defeat and admit that I only had two friends. It was just too humiliating. And I had endured enough humiliation in my life already to not want my wedding to be a continuation of that. Even my boyfriend seemed a little embarrassed. He would egg me on in my hunt, point at random girls at parties and say, "She seems like a good potential bridesmaid!" Maybe a part of him was afraid that if I didn't make more friends - and fast - he'd have to drop all but two of his friends to be his groomsmen. I wanted my wedding to be the best day of my life, and I had a feeling it would be marred with embarrassment if the dark cloud of, "You only have two friends, and they're both closer with other people than they are with you," loomed over me the whole time.

As it turned out, my hunt for new female friends was completely fruitless. I eventually did make another close friend (who I still consider close), but she was actually someone I had met right after graduating college, years before my bridesmaid hunt. I just never made any effort with her during that time, because I assumed she was too cool to want to hang out with me. As it turned out, she wasn't. Unfortunately, we had only just became friends when I got engaged. At my engagement party, I pulled her aside and asked her if she wanted to be a bridesmaid. I told her that I knew we weren't that close, but I had a feeling we would be very close someday. She declined - boy, was that awkward for both of us - but years later she jokes that I had the right hunch about our friendship all along.

By the time I actually got married, I'll admit that my bridal party didn't really look how I wanted it to. I only had four bridesmaids, which meant my fiancé had to cull people from his lineup. (I only hope he didn't tell the disappointed gentlemen why: "My bride is just really unlikeable!") Realizing that I wasn't actually anybody's "best friend," I made my younger brother my maid of honor, because when it came down to it, I was closer with him than any other eligible friend. (He even attended the bachelorette party and partook in all the bridal activities, but drew the line at attending a pole-dancing class.) I also added my cousin as the fourth bridesmaid. Even though we weren't always in regular communication, she wound up being an awesome, supportive bridesmaid and a fantastic wedding planner to boot.

What I didn't realize was how facing my "fear" head on - having a very small bridal party with only two people not related to me - would make me so much more comfortable talking to other women. After my wedding, I no longer had a specific goal when I met a woman. I could focus strictly on whether or not we actually had anything in common, instead of imagining whether this person I just met would be OK with wearing pastel yellow or if she'd request a more flattering color. Now, several years out since my wedding, I'm still not everybody's cup of tea (just the other day I asked a stranger at a party if they ever wanted children), but I have a deeply satisfying spectrum of female friends. I'm not strictly focused on the amount of friends anymore, but I finally have more than two, so that's nice.

There's a Floating Taco Bar in the Caribbean, So Excuse Us While We Fly There and Never Come Back

The Caribbean's first-ever floating taco and cocktail bar, Lime Out, recently opened in St. John, and it's the whole reason the US Virgin Islands just landed the top spot on our bucket list. The new eatery that floats 200 feet off Hansen Bay Beach can only be reached by kayak, paddle board, or a power boat. There's even a drive-through-style service for boats passing by and a sea-level wooden bar with submerged bar stools for those looking to stay a while.

"The East end of St. John is amazing, pristine, and untouched, and we're trying to honor that by inviting people to enjoy all of its beauty and having really delicious tacos and cocktails while doing it," Chelsea Baranowski told POPSUGAR. Baranowski owns Lime Out and built the bar with her husband, Richard.

Lime Out's head chef, Amaro Rivera, only uses the freshest ingredients for the tacos, which he designed himself. The menu includes 11 specially crafted tacos, including fresh-catch ceviche, surf and turf, rum ribs, shrimp, green curry chicken, and more. Their goal is to source everything locally to ensure the best quality products, and according to Baranowski, there are already plans to expand the menu.

If tacos aren't really your thing, the floating bar's craft cocktails are sure to get your attention. All cocktails are made with freshly squeezed juice and embrace the tropical vibes. For example, "The Danger" cocktail is mixed with fresh watermelon juice, lime juice, Thai chili-infused tequila, and pineapple. "This concept has been my husband Richard's dream for over two-and-a-half years," she continued. "He's been drawing it in the sand and designing it for [a long time]. The Virgin Islands need more options for locals and visitors who are seeking a totally different dining experience, so this is our version of [that]."

Better yet, the bar is eco-friendly, using recyclable cups, no straws, and biodegradable taco containers. Since being environmentally conscious is a priority, the team also does a regular check under the boat to clean up anything that may have dropped. To see more of this Caribbean heaven floating in the middle of the sea, keep reading.

Love Ginger Beer but Have No Idea What's in It? We've Got Answers

If you're a regular drinker of ginger beer, you probably already know that there's no alcohol in most of them - so that means you can drink as many as you want, right? Ginger is healthy, so why not? Not so fast.

Although ginger beer doesn't contain alcohol, making it more akin to root beer than the tasty offerings from breweries, the formula is more or less that of a soda, though stronger in flavor, consisting mostly of ginger root, sugar or syrup, dry yeast, lemon, and carbonated water. You already know that sugary beverages are best drank occasionally (and that plain water is always best for your waistline and health), so moderation is still in order when it comes to ginger beer. The typical calorie count for ginger beer is fairly steep. It ranges from 14 to 16 calories per ounce or 168 to 192 calories for a 12-ounce bottle.

You're not wrong in thinking there are health benefits to ginger, though. Ginger root is known for its ability to relieve nausea, and studies show it also is effective in reducing motion sickness, pain, and inflammation - and possibly even helping to reduce cholesterol and prevent colon cancer. Ginger also contains minerals and nutrients including iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc, folate, and niacin, but we're talking about the real thing. Stick to tea if you want to reap the benefits.

Oh? This Restaurant Replaces the Bread on Its Sandwiches With Pickles

Pickle stans, have you heard? There's a restaurant in New Jersey that replaces the bread on its sandwiches with giant pickles - because clearly a simple pickle slice as a garnish isn't enough to satisfy your pickle-loving appetite. The restaurant in question, Elsie's, has gone viral in the last week after a video surfaced of the eatery building out its signature pickle sandwich, The Real Dill. It's basically just a bunch of assorted deli meats, cheese, and toppings piled in between two very large pickle slices, which sounds like a pretty ideal solution for when you're in the mood to enjoy a sandwich without the added carbs.

FYI, in case a pickle sandwich sounds like a bit much for you, Elsie's also serves pickle and cucumber roll-ups that are served like sushi and filled with meats and toppings like falafel, roast beef, roasted turkey, and ham. Read ahead to take a look at both dishes in all of their sour, crunchy goodness.

When it comes to having a relationship with your parents, it's nice to have a pretty open and solid one, where you feel safe expressing how you're feeling and sharing intimate details of your life. A First-Time Gorilla Mom Won’t Stop Holding and Smiling at Her Baby, and the Photos Are Truly Tender

If you were to tell me that seeing photos of a first-time mama gorilla cuddling her newborn baby at a zoo would make my heart ache, I'd shake my head at you. I'd tell you it's cute, but that would be it for me.

But after seeing these photos of critically endangered western lowland gorilla Kafi holding her new baby and smiling, I think I'm a different person. According to the Dublin Zoo, Kafi delivered her first baby on April 1, and she is so enamored with her little one that she hasn't let her go. "To date, keepers at Dublin Zoo have been unable to determine the gender of the infant as Kafi has been keeping the baby close to her chest since the birth," the zoo's website said.

Helen Clarke-Bennett, team leader of the African Plains at Dublin Zoo, also commented that what Kafi is doing is wonderful for the baby. "Kafi is doing a fantastic job so far as a first-time mother, keeping the young baby physically close in these crucial early stages." And dad Bangui is doing a great job, too. "Bangui is proving to be an attentive father and at night has been sleeping close to Kafi and the baby."

Scroll through to see the photos of the new mama fawning over her little one, and try not to completely lose it in the process.

Dole Whips Just Got the Slushy Treatment With - Wait For It - Moscato and Vodka

I KonMari'd My Apartment, and Here's What I Bought So That It Continues to Spark Joy For Years to Come

I came, I saw, I KonMari'd. Like it did for so many others, Marie Kondo's Netflix series Tidying Up sparked something in me to finally get organized in 2019. When her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up first came out, I resisted the movement. "I'm really more of a more is more kind of gal," I thought at the time. Meanwhile, my small one-bedroom apartment that I share with my husband was slowly accumulating dusty piles of useless, well, crap in every nook and cranny. Closets were overflowing, bookshelves bending under pressure, floor space was becoming a precious commodity. Something had to change.

Enter: KonMari, 2019 edition. This time around, I was ready to embrace the magic, and honestly, it was life-changing. I followed Marie Kondo's steps in order, tackling each of her recommended categories on the weekends for the first two months of the year. I would make it my goal to finish a category in a weekend, including donating, selling, and trashing what I didn't want to keep by Sunday night so that I could start fresh the following weekend. As bag after bag of old-school papers, blurry photographs of scenery from a vacation we took in 1998, stained towels, broken kitchen utensils, unused hand-me-downs, ill-fitting clothing, and just plain garbage left our apartment, a literal weight was lifted off of me. I would do a happy dance every Sunday night as another category bit the dust. Now that my apartment was free of what didn't spark joy, it was time to make some strategic new purchases.

While it may seem counterintuitive, the process of KonMari-ing (or Spring cleaning) does involve purchasing new things along the way. Besides the obvious boxes and baskets, drawer organizers, and other storage and organizational products, clearing away the clutter causes you to reevaluate what's left and possibly replace that side table your parents gave you years ago that you never really liked or finally find some smarter space-saving solutions for art that's sat in your closet or clutter taking up valuable counter space in your kitchen.

Ahead, here are the organizers, furniture pieces, and other home products I bought to make sure my apartment continues to spark joy and stay organized for years to come.

Need a Sugar Rush? Peeps Doughnuts and Coffee Will Soon Be Hatching at a Dunkin' Near You

And just like that, Easter is already on the horizon - so naturally, Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating the impending holiday in the only way that makes sense: with Peeps-flavored coffee and doughnuts.

Yes, beginning on April 1, guests visiting any participating Dunkin' locations will be able to celebrate the official start of Spring by purchasing the chain's brand-new doughnut, which comes covered in white icing and a mix of green and egg-shaped rainbow sprinkles, and topped with a bright yellow Peeps Marshmallow chick. And if the doughnut isn't enough to rock your boat, Dunkin' is also adding the sugary taste of classic Peeps to all of its coffee drinks for a limited time.

In addition, Dunkin' will also send a custom-sculpted coffee car alongside a Peepmobile on a road trip from Bethlehem, PA (the birthplace of the Peep!) to the doughnut brand's own hometown in Quincy, MA. Along the way, the vehicle will stop at six Dunkin' locations and hand out free coffee and doughnuts to the first 250 guests who show. It's not a bad way to celebrate Easter, if you ask me.

Beer Candy, Anyone? These Jelly Beans Are All About Flavor - Without Any of the Alcohol!

Just when we thought you'd seen every flavor of jelly bean imaginable, we find out that Jelly Belly has been selling entire cans of beer-flavored jelly beans - and they're nonalcoholic! That's right, you can have your beer flavor (and candy) without any hangover symptoms. Each Draft Beer Jelly Bean 1.75-ounce can ($5) is filled with five small bags of jelly beans, which have a shimmery finish that mimics a bubbly, freshly poured look. So cool!

You can also mix up a fun "drink" in your mouth with any combination of jelly beans you like. Jelly Belly recommends eating two draft beer beans with one peach-flavored bean for a summery sangria taste, or swapping the peach for a red apple jelly bean to recreate the flavors of an apple shandy. If you're feeling really adventurous, try two draft beer beans with a lemon-lime bean and a Tabasco jelly bean for a candy-based Michelada in your mouth. The possibilities are endless.

Keep reading for a glimpse at the beer-flavored jelly beans and for a look at how to open the (reusable!) faux beer can.

We're Shocked at How These Face Wipes Remove Waterproof Makeup in Seconds

Maybe you just came home from a late night out with your friends. Maybe you put on more makeup than usual and know that removing it is going to take longer than you want it to. Whatever the reason, there are times you don't want to wash your face, and I understand that.

While I completely feel your pain, I admit I do end up washing my face in those scenarios, and I noticed that one beauty product made the process more bearable: the Hydro Peptide HydroActive Facial Cleansing Cloths ($20). While each of the pack's 30 wipes is gentle on the skin, it powerfully removes everything from waterproof mascara to a full-coverage foundation. It does so in just one clean sweep, while using a second cloth leaves you feeling as though you've cleaned the dirt and excess oils off your face and that you applied a skin-softening serum.

Full disclosure: they are a little on the pricier side when it comes to face wipes. A pack retails for about $20 - but if it gets me into my bed faster, I'd say it's worth every penny. See the makeup-removing cloths that pack a punch ahead.

It's Science: Using This Skincare Ingredient in Your Hair Will Make It That Much Softer

Chances are, upon hearing the words hyaluronic acid (HA), your mind will go straight to a face cream or a serum. It makes sense, as the buzzy ingredient has long been known for its ability to pull moisture from its surroundings and hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. It saves dry skin while giving it an added radiance - but what happens when it's swirled into your hair care?

Brands are injecting hyaluronic acid into the formulas of every step of your haircare routine because it is a powerful moisturizing agent regardless of where you decide to smear it. Cosmetic chemist Ginger King told POPSUGAR that the best way to apply it to hair is in the form of a conditioner (preferably a leave-in). "Conditioners have cationic charges, which helps to retain the moisture," she said. She explained that it should be applied at least once a week, or whenever your hair is feeling dry.

King does have one caveat: "Hair is dead." She explained that while HA still helps with locking in moisture, it's not as effective at making your hair shine as other ingredients. She also said that HA is most beneficial when applied directly to the scalp. "The scalp [is] skin so when you keep it moisturized, it makes hair grow better like fertilizer."

Beauty brands aren't the only part of the industry using HA. Salons are offering treatments with the ingredient as well. Hairstylist Nunzio Saviano offers a hyaluronic-acid-infused leave-in treatment at his New York City-based salon that he recommends to his clients with color-treated hair. Post-treatment, he says, clients are left with hair that feels significantly softer, and he provides clients with a one-step HA hair serum that they can use to keep the effects going.

Here's WTF Is on Will Smith's Face on the Set of Bad Boys 2

It should come as no surprise that Will Smith takes good care of his skin - the 50-year-old looks just as good now as when he starred in Bad Boys in 1995. Smith let fans in on his complexion regimen on Instagram with a snap of the actor wearing funny-looking patches underneath his eyes and a white glove on his hand. The photo was posted with the caption, "On set @badboys - Gotta Keep Mike Lowrey's Hands & Eyes moist & supple!" While it might look like Smith is getting ready to star in a Dexter remake in which he plays a serial killer, the actor is simply practicing some self-care.

The unusual products in question are none other than some superhydrating and handy skincare products. The first is Talika's reusable Eye Therapy Patches ($49), which adhere to the under eye and give off a cooling sensation to take down puffiness while delivering anti-inflammatory ingredients to the skin, like rose, safflower, and avocado essential oils.

As for the white glove, it looks like Smith is keeping hydrated with a hand mask like the Sephora Collection Hand Mask ($5), which is filled with moisturizing ingredients like aloe and safflower seed oil to keep dry patches and ragged cuticles at bay.

Mädchen Amick’s New Haircut Is So Short, She’s Never Made Alice Cooper Look This Good

Mädchen Amick just went for the big chop and it's got that Southside Serpent sizzle.

Known for her role as the headstrong Alice Cooper on Riverdale (as well as Shelly Johnson on Twin Peaks back in 1990), Amick has undergone many hair transformations over the years. Her latest is a short bob that is shorter in length toward the nape of her neck. She posted a photo of the new cut with the caption, "Oh hey there summer cut 💁 It's good to see you again."

Although she's tried many hair looks before ever becoming "Mrs. C," this one might be her best yet. See some of her past looks ahead.

Jennifer Garner's Beauty Looks Haven't Changed Much - Because They've Always Been Flawless

Not only is Jennifer Garner just all-around cool, but she also makes "effortless" look easy. She can rock a red carpet dress in her sleep and make you feel like you're her bestie on Instagram. But what she's off-the-charts effortless at are her beauty looks.

We went all the way back to 2000 - almost two decades - and you know what we learned? We learned Jennifer figured out long ago what her go-to makeup routine was, and she's stuck with it. You can always find her wearing a fresh face with a subtle smoky eye and light pink, glossy lips. She's changed her hair up here and there, but it's usually long, curly, and flowing around her shoulders - just like you'd expect on the coolest mom in Hollywood. To see what we mean, keep reading.

Fresh's New Rose Mask Made Me Look Like Sleeping Beauty Herself

I was apprehensive to try Fresh's new Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask ($50). Not because I don't love Fresh (the brand's lip balms and face scrubs are among my favorite products) but because I'm not in love with rose scents. I decided to try the skincare treatment out anyway, and boy, am I happy I did.

When I first unscrewed the cap, I braced myself to be hit with a strong floral smell. Fortunately, the smell was light, refreshing, and enjoyable. The mask is split into two portions, with a "Step 1" and "Step 2" side. Step one is an amber-colored gel that contains rosewater to soothe the skin, and damask rose extract to hydrate and smooth the skin. It's also packed with hyaluronic acid to hydrate. The second step has a creamy consistency to lock in the moisture, and has evening primrose root extract to make sure your hydration lasts throughout the night.

After washing my face with my usual cleanser, I applied the first step in the mask. I only needed a small amount of the gel to coat my entire face, and my skin instantly felt quenched. The second cream step felt even more hydrating, and I then headed off to bed.

In the morning, I breathed a sigh of relief after looking in the mirror. My tired, stressed-out, irritated skin had finally calmed down. The redness had finally faded, and my complexion looked plump, not puffy. I was amazed that overnight, my skin looked more moisturized than it had in months, earning this mask a permanent place in my overcrowded medicine cabinet.

See the mask (and my next-day dew) ahead.

Rihanna May Have a Skincare Line in the Works - What to Know About "Fenty Skin"

Back in 2017, Rihanna applied to trademark "House of Fenty," which included skincare products like creams and lotions listed under its goods and services description. Now, two years later, the dream of Fenty skincare indulgences may be a reality.

The trademark for the name "Fenty Skin" has been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The application includes a potential logo and lists "soap, body care, and personal care products" as just a few goods in its description.

Considering that Rihanna disrupted the beauty industry in just the first few weeks of her launch of Fenty Beauty with her release of an expansive foundation range, fans can hope for a skincare line that is just as groundbreaking - oh, and a serum that will let them achieve her radiant complexion.

Ashley Tisdale Isn't Platinum Anymore - and It Looks Really Good

Many people like to dye their hair lighter for Summer, but Ashley Tisdale just showed us what to do if you're already platinum blond. In a surprising move, the High School Musical actress got tones of red added to her hair to give her a strawberry-blond hue that, depending on the lighting, looks several shades darker than her usual color.

She posted an image of her new color on Instagram and attributed it to hairstylists Kristen Ess and Anja Burton. While the photo in her feed shows that the warm color has hints of lighter blond in it, Tisdale also shared some snaps of her new hair in her Instagram Story that showed it can actually look significantly darker while inside.

Check out her new hue ahead.

The 1 Trick the Spice Girls' Makeup Artist Relied on to Hide Pimples

Mastering the art of covering those ginormous, always-come-at-the-worst-f*cking-time pimples is something that takes patience, a high-performance product, and, normally, the advice of a professional.

Obviously, you don't have to cover your pimples if you prefer to let them live, and frankly, who has the time to constantly touch them up? But if you are looking to eradicate that zit, you might not have to smother it in concealer after all, according to makeup artist Karin Darnell, who is known for her work with the Spice Girls. After we quizzed her on how long the girl power group took to get ready for a show (spoiler: a mere 20 minutes), she let us in on her zit-hiding trick.

According to Darnell, the heavy makeup the Spice Girls wore constantly and their high-stress jobs (plus, hormones) often resulted in some pretty unpredictable skin. Darnell explained, "We live in an airbrushed world now, but back then, you didn't have filters; it was day lighting. So if someone had spots, and one of the girls really did, I had to alter the looks for that." But rather than just piling on the foundation and concealer, Darnell used to make the main makeup focus all about the eyes, to draw attention away from blemishes. Think full-on smokey eye, all the eyeliner, and shimmery inner corners of the eyes. This way, it drew people's eyes away from the skin and onto that bold statement look.

It wasn't just eye makeup: lip liner was certainly involved, too, and lots of it. It was either the iconic '90s brown-toned lips, or a classic red lip, which even ended up getting Geri Halliwell in trouble with the royal family.

Darnell said, "What I absolutely say to this day is if you can't laugh at what you used to look like then you really achieved nothing." So really, if we've learned one thing from Darnell, it's that going heavy on the eye makeup works, but also that it's not the end of the world if you can't quite cover that pimple or if you regret some of your makeup trend choices years later. If the Spice Girls can live and learn, then we all can.

This $4 Product Takes the Brassiness Out of My Blonde With One Wash

If you color your hair, you can relate to the feeling of leaving the salon after an appointment. For me, it's how some people might feel after applying red lipstick or wearing high heels: I feel like I can rule the world. Like Oprah, Captain Marvel or Britney Spears, I'm in charge; I'm that. b*tch. (Even if I had freaked out that morning about losing my phone when it had been in my pocket the entire time.) And my hair is blonder and bright - lifted, gifted, higher than the ceiling, ooh wee it's the ultimate feelin' . . .

Even though I love being blonde, it's inevitable that my hair will get brassy between salon visits. After feeling like it was something I'd always have to deal with, I learned a few tricks to help keep my hair looking bright and fresh, even when it's been a few months since seeing my colorist. First, I invested in a water filter. In Los Angeles, we deal with hard water. Naturally, it takes a toll on my hair. Since using the Raindrops system, I've noticed not only is my hair maintaining its color longer, but it's softer, and so is my skin - it doesn't feel tight and dry like it used to.

But the best, quickest fix for reviving brassy, blonde hair to fresh, cool-toned blonde is a product that my colorist Justin Anderson shared with me. Since day one, he's used Malibu C Blondes Weekly Brightener ($11 for three) on my hair. When I go in for a color appointment, he washes the hair with it because it's clarifying.

"It brightens up the blonde hair that has been dulled down by environmental exposure, hard water, and over-shampooing," said Anderson. Even though I'm good at going a few days between washes and have my water filter, lord knows this LA lady deals with her fair share of environmental damage.

Because he also suggests giving the hair a break between salon appointments to help keep your hair in great shape, I've been utilizing Malibu C about once a month and love how it refreshes my color and makes it look like I just had a color appointment.

Malibu C Blondes is a vitamin C crystal powder that you use after shampooing your hair. Make sure your palm is wet, pour the crystals into it, and allow them to dissolve. Apply to your wet hair by scrunching it in; I end up massaging them so that it creates as little foam. Let it sit for five minutes so it can do it's thing - this is usually when I shave or exfoliate my body - and then rinse and condition your hair.

It's vegan, paraben-, and sulfate-free, and adds a really gorgeous luminosity to the hair afterwards.

Thanks to This Redness-Erasing Foundation, You’d Never Know How Irritated My Skin Was

I've always had dry skin, but it's been significantly more irritated after a recent snowboarding trip. Between the seven-hour flight and the four days of ripping through snow at high speeds, my cheeks were tender to the touch when I returned. The areas of my face that were the most sensitive would turn red to the touch.

Of course, I started giving it more love with the most emollient, fragrance-free moisturizers I could find; but there were still areas that seemed too sensitive. Luckily, a jar of Stila Lingerie Soufflé Skin Perfecting Color in Shade 5.0 ($38) has been hiding the irritation.

The first time I opened the jar, I was surprised to find a fluffy, airy whipped formula. I immediately dipped my fingers into the jar (after washing my hands, of course), began dabbing the goop onto my face, and blending it out with my makeup sponge. It magically erased the rosier splotches on my cheeks and chin along with the bags under my eyes - all while wearing so comfortably, I often forget about it.

One thing to keep in mind is to always prep your skin with moisturizer before applying this complexion-perfecting product. On the day I skipped it, I saw the foundation sit in the driest parts of my face, although my skin was especially dehydrated. See the complexion perfecting foundation, ahead.

Game of Thrones: Here's Exactly How Many Starks Are Actually Still Alive

If there's any family that's suffered greatly during the course of Game of Thrones, it's the Starks of Winterfell. Since the first season, they've endured pitfall after pitfall, and it's frankly a miracle even one of them has made it to the final season. But through pure strength of will, the teachings of the Faceless Men, the grace of R'hllor, and just being the Three-Eyed Raven, there are still four Starks alive, and they don't plan on dying anytime soon. Keep reading for a refresher on the remaining Starks and where we last saw them before season eight premieres!
