In News That Just Changed My Life, You Can Add People to an iPhone Note So Everyone Can Edit It
iPhones have so many cool features that it's sometimes hard to keep up with them all. Some are obvious while others are hidden (seriously, can they just give out a full hack manual when you buy the phone?!), and one you might not know about is the ability to share notes with friends. By opening a new note on an iPhone and sharing it with people of your choosing, they'll not only be able to view your note, but also edit and update, all in real time.
There are many ways sharing notes can be useful and beneficial for you and your friends and family. One way my husband and I use shared notes is with our grocery list, so we both edit and update the grocery list as we remember things. You can also do it for packing lists, playlists, or anything else you want!
If you'd like to start sharing notes, the first thing you'll want to do is open your Notes app on your iPhone and select the note you would like to share. The rest of the steps are so easy, so keep reading for a full breakdown.

A Marriage Proposal Is a Dream For Some, but For Me It Was a Nightmare
I was 20 years old, studying abroad in Florence, Italy, when I fell in love for the first time. We met while I was out partying with my roommate at the time, and two young men stopped us in the middle of the street because one wanted to hit on her. In their broken English, they asked us to grab a drink at a bar nearby; I was reluctant, but my roommate was all for it. I ended up translating the entire time and didn't think I hit it off with the other guy at all, but at the end of the night, he asked me for my number and I said, "Yes." The next day, he gave me a call and asked if we could go out on our own for dinner and a walk around Florence. I said sure because I thought it would be great to see the city through a local's eyes. We had an amazing conversation during dinner and at the end, he asked if I wanted to see something beautiful and I jumped at the chance, so we took a cab and he took me to Piazzale Michelangelo. If you haven't been to Florence, the piazza has a spectacular view of the city center; you can see the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Giotto's Bell Tower, and so much more. Imagine that view at nighttime with all of the lights shining bright; it was the perfect backdrop for our first kiss, and in that moment, I knew our chapter together was only beginning.
We saw each other every day after that and even traveled around Italy together. I met his family, and he met mine virtually. We said "I love you" to each other during a trip to Sienna, and I didn't look back.
I fell head over heels for him, but I knew that my time in Italy was coming to an end.
I fell head over heels for him, but I knew that my time in Italy was coming to an end. We made plans for me to come back for the Summer and until that we would FaceTime, talk on the phone, and text every day. Fast forward five months and he was dropping me off at the airport and kissing me goodbye.
I was back home before Christmas with my birthday just a month away. I felt like something was up because he told me he had sent me a gift and was super excited for me to get it in the mail. I got it a few days before my birthday, but he gave me specific instructions not to open it until the actual day of my birthday when I received his call. I was so pumped to see what it was; I got his call and was ready to rip the envelope open. When he gave me the green light, I was stunned. It was a gorgeous vintage-inspired yellow gold diamond engagement ring. I heard him say "Will you marry me?" in the background. I was speechless because it was the last thing I expected for him to do. Yes, I loved him, but in the moment, reality hit me. We had only been dating for six months at that point, I lived on a completely different continent, and I was still in school.
He asked me again, and I started crying because I knew in my heart that I had to say "no."
He asked me again, and I started crying because I knew in my heart that I had to say "no." I told him that I needed time to think about it and he said, "Why? Don't you want to marry me?" and under my breath I said "no." He told me he couldn't hear me and so I said it louder. I told him that I did love him, but I couldn't marry him because it didn't feel right. I was still in school, didn't have a job, and didn't want to settle down just yet. Understandably, he was upset and told me he needed time to cool off and I told him to take as much as he needed and just call me back when he was ready. I didn't hear from him until the next day, and I immediately apologized and told him that I hoped he understood and if turning down his marriage proposal was a dealbreaker then I had no choice but to accept it. He said that it was because he wanted to be with someone who would have said yes immediately and clearly I wasn't ready for that. I told him I understood and wished him the best of luck; it was the last we spoke. I mailed back the ring and just hoped he received it.
Looking back now, I don't regret it one bit because in that moment in my life, I knew I wasn't ready for marriage, I'm still not ready, and it's been four years. I can't change what happened, but the time we spent together will always stay with me, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Notre-Dame's Main Structure Has Been "Saved and Preserved" Following Massive Blaze
Update, Paris, 11 p.m. - Notre-Dame's main structure has been "saved and preserved," according to a Paris fire official. "We can consider that the two towers of the north belfry Notre-Dame have been saved," he told BFMTV. "The structure of Our Lady is saved as a whole."
Original post: Smoke filled the air in Paris after a fire broke out at the historic Notre-Dame Cathedral around 6:30 p.m. on April 15. While the cause of the fire was not immediately apparent, French authorities say it may be linked to ongoing renovation work, according to BBC. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced the news on Twitter, writing, "The Paris firefighters are currently trying to stop the flames. I ask everyone to respect the security boundaries."
The cathedral's spire has since fallen and the roof has collapsed. "Everything is burning, nothing will remain from the frame," Notre Dame spokesman Andre Finot told French media. Built in the 12th and 13th century, the 856-year-old cathedral had its original spire removed in 1786, as it had weakened over time. "The building was evacuated, with no immediate signs of anyone being injured," Finot added. Hundreds of firefighters are directing all efforts towards saving what they can of the cathedral, which is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world. See videos from onlookers and photos of the devastating event ahead.

At 17, I Had to Go to Court to Fight For My Abortion
When I was 17, I found out I was pregnant. I knew immediately that I needed to have an abortion.
I had just gotten into the University of Texas at San Antonio and was ready to change cities and start working toward a career in electrical engineering. I knew I definitely wasn't ready to start a family. But in Texas, the law said I needed my parents' permission to have an abortion.
I cried and panicked, unsure what I would do if I couldn't get the abortion.
My father is religious and conservative, and I knew I couldn't talk to him about it. I wasn't sure my mom would give me permission, and I was scared that even asking her would pull us further apart. I cried and panicked, unsure what I would do if I couldn't get the abortion.
Thirty-seven states require a parent to be involved in a minor's abortion: 21 require parental consent and 11 require parental notification; 5 states require both consent and notification. Florida is currently considering legislation that would require notarized parental permission, bumping parental-involvement states up to 38.
If they can't get parent permission, the Florida bill would require minors to appear before a judge and prove that they are "mature;" the judge gets to decide if they can get an abortion. The process is called judicial bypass, and I went through it in Texas.
In Texas, there is a nonprofit called Jane's Due Process that helps minors navigate the judicial bypass process. But most states don't have Jane's Due Process, making it harder to find a lawyer who can help you. Many teens must appear before the judge themselves, unprepared to face a legal proceeding about a private medical decision.
I reached out to Jane's Due Process and was fortunately able to meet with a lawyer, who walked me through the many steps I needed to get through before appearing before the judge, including getting a sonogram and working with my lawyer to compile evidence of my maturity.
I was nervous to appear before the judge; it seemed like anything could happen. I felt like if I messed up when I spoke or left out something for my case, the judge would rule against me and I wouldn't be able to get my abortion. It felt like I was being treated like a criminal when all I wanted to do was get an abortion.
Ultimately the judge ruled in my favor. But I still had to deal with cost and travel, barriers which are harder for young people - especially teenagers - to overcome. In some places, you have to wait for weeks and drive for hours to get an appointment at the nearest clinic. When you add the delay of having to appear before a judge, it's even longer before you can get the abortion, pushing it further into your pregnancy, and making the cost even higher.
Young people like me are responsible enough to make our own decisions about whether or not we want to have a child. I knew that if I couldn't have the abortion I might not be able to finish school and wouldn't be able to create the life I have planned. That's why Florida Bill HB 1335, and the many laws like it around the country, are so harmful and unjust. And the judicial bypass, which legislators claim is intended to help those who can't get parental permission, is actually designed to discourage minors and influence their decision.
I started sharing my story to try to change parental notification laws and others that threaten abortion access. We all have the right to end a pregnancy if we're not ready to carry it to term - and to make that decision on our own, without parents, lawyers, or judges.

9 Things Bridesmaids Don't Realize Annoy the Bride
Whether you're a first-time bridesmaid, or have 27 dresses hanging up in the back of your closet, it's good to keep in mind bridal-party faux pas. So we chatted with real brides to find out their pet peeves. Here are nine things you didn't realize were annoying the bride in your life, plus practical tips for avoiding these mistakes.
1. Being MIA
Why it's annoying: By not responding to emails, missing showers, or skipping out on favor-making night, you are slacking on your duty to support the bride and might make her regret asking you in the first place.
How to avoid it: You don't need to drop everything else in your life to be a bridesmaid, but you should make it a priority. It doesn't take much effort to reply enthusiastically to her emails with wedding details, and if you can't make a shower or bachelorette party, go the extra mile and send along a gift or card after picking up the phone to tell her why you won't be able to make it.
2. RSVP'ing For a Plus One Who Wasn't Invited
Why it's annoying: As VIPs, bridesmaids should have leeway to invite a guest. But it's not respectful to just assume if your invite is addressed to just you.
How to avoid it: Talk to the bride about it. Explain you have a guy in your life you think would get along well with everyone. If he's someone you're hoping to take things to the next level with, she'll likely support your quest to find love like she has.
3. Asking About the Same Details Over and Over Again
Why it's annoying: The bride has a long to-do list, so she doesn't want to tell you over and over that she doesn't care what you do with your hair or what the name of the hotel is. Once she's passed on some information, do her a favor and don't keep asking her about it.
How to avoid it: Don't make the bride your go-to resource for information. Check her wedding website, reread emails she's sent, and check in with other bridesmaids before bombarding her with questions about minute details.
4. Waiting Until the Last Minute to Buy Your Dress
Why it's annoying: The bride will stress that the dress will sell out, or she'll worry your dress won't work with the others. If you accepted being a bridesmaid, you're prepared for the fact that you'll have to buy the dress, so what are you waiting for?
How to avoid it: Bite the bullet and buy it as soon as she gives you the details so you don't forget. If you can't afford it at the moment, be honest with the bride and see if there's a solution you can come up with together.
5. Not Getting Along With the Other Bridesmaids
Why it's annoying: The drama distracts from the bride's moment and casts a negative light on the wedding. Keep in mind that she values the other bridesmaids and she won't appreciate you complaining about them.
How to avoid it: Vent to someone else, preferably someone who is not connected to the wedding. And try to keep an open mind about the woman who seems controlling in the bachelorette email chains or the other one who can't seem to get her act together on paying you for the hotel.
6. Being Hungover While Getting Ready
Why it's annoying: When you're hungover, all you want to do is go to bed, and that's not how the bride wants you to feel on the morning of her wedding. Plus it's not a great look for the pictures.
How to avoid it: Of course, the bride wants you to enjoy yourself at the rehearsal dinner or welcome party, but save some of your energy for main event. Make sure you don't drink on an empty stomach the night before and alternate between booze and water all night to slow you down and keep you hydrated. If you do end up hungover, you need to fake it till you make it. Get your hands on some Gatorade, coffee, and Advil and hope the mimosa does the trick. And don't complain in front of the bride.
7. Telling Her Nonstop to Eat on the Wedding Day
Why it's annoying: It's likely everyone is telling her "don't forget to eat" leading up to walking down the aisle. You'll just add to the repetitive chorus.
How to avoid it: Don't overtly demand the bride eat. Instead, offer her a bagel when you're getting yours, grab some fruit salad for everyone to munch on, and keep a granola bar handy. Don't monitor her food intake, just do what you can to make sure some is available.
8. Making a Mess in the Bridal Suite
Why it's annoying: The bride doesn't want to worry about getting your makeup that's lying out everywhere on her dress. Nor does she want to come back to your rotting lunches on her wedding night.
How to avoid it: Keep your stuff neat. If you're getting ready in her room, make sure you do a final sweep of the room before you leave so she and her husband don't come back to a disaster zone.
9. Uploading Photos of Her on Social Media
Why it's annoying: You run the risk of having the groom see the bride on social media before the first glance. It's also likely the bride doesn't want poorly lit photos taken with your iPhone to be the first impression of her wedding on social media.
How to avoid it: Ask before you post - and never post before the groom and other guests have seen the bride. If you snap a quick shot on your phone, ask the bride if it's OK to share. And if you can't do that, at the very least make sure the photo is undoubtedly flattering.
If you're a bride, be sure to check out eight things you didn't realize annoy your bridesmaids, and 30 things that will drive your guests nuts.

If We Could Call the Game of Thrones Hotline With Our Theories, the Lines Would Go Berserk
You know what would've come in handy after the Game of Thrones season eight premiere? A hotline dedicated to the show, with answers supplied by the stars themselves. Jimmy Kimmel brought this fictional phone bank to life for his show Monday night, and enlisted the help of some our favorite GoT actors.
Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, and more, took their turn in the "Game of Phones" to answer some of the most pressing fan questions. Think you know who poisoned Joffrey? Turns out, we've been wrong all along! Wish we could white walk to our phones and get some answers to our most pressing theories. For now, this hilarious skit will have to do.
Salma Hayek's Husband François-Henri Pinault Will Donate $113 Million to Rebuild Notre-Dame
Billionaire François-Henri Pinault and his family have pledged to donate €100 million (or approx. US $113 million) to rebuild the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, following its devastating fire.
"My father [François Pinault] and I have decided to release as of now from the funds of Artemis a sum of 100 million euros to participate in the effort that will be necessary for the complete reconstruction of Notre Dame," François-Henri wrote in a statement, according to BuzzFeed.
François-Henri is the chairman and CEO of Kering, an international luxury group which owns brands like Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent. He's married to actress Salma Hayek, who also shared her own sympathies after the heartbreaking damage to the historic landmark. "As many others I'm in deep shock and sadness to witness the beauty of Notre-Dame turn into smoke," she wrote in a caption on Instagram. "I love you Paris." François-Henri and Salma were married less than a mile away from the cathedral, and reportedly still own a home nearby.

Think You're Totally Like a Certain Riverdale Character? See If the Zodiac Agrees
If you're a longtime fan Riverdale, then you're probably pretty invested in the intricate, scandalous lives of the characters as well as all the battles and demons they have to face on a regular basis. (Literally though, that Gargoyle King is terrifying.) Yet, have you ever wondered which character you most resemble? Maybe you'd be a Veronica, a true entrepreneur with some ballsy energy, or a Betty, a keen detective and "good girl" with a hidden dark side. Whether you're the jock, the spy, or (uh oh) a murderer, here's which character you're most like based on your zodiac sign.
Blink and You May Have Missed This Always Sunny in Philadelphia Cameo in Game of Thrones
The final season premiere of Game of Thrones packs in a lot of things that fans have been anxious to see: Daenerys arriving in Winterfell; the reunion between Arya and Jon; and Jon finally learning that he isn't a bastard, but the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne. But, among all the petty drama and intrigue, the series also manages to sneak in two celebrity cameos with the tried-and-true Game of Thrones hospitality - the show kills them off swiftly and brutally.
To set the scene, let's recap where the guests come in. Euron arrives in Kings Landing with the Golden Company, and his niece Yara is hidden below deck on his ship. We learn that he's keeping Yara alive because they're "the only Greyjoys left with balls," before he traipses off to service Queen Cersei in the castle. While Euron is preoccupied, Theon leads a merry band of Greyjoy bannermen to rescue his sister from their uncle's boat.
To do so, they fire arrows into Euron's men guarding the ship, which includes It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney and Silicon Valley's Martin Starr. Their appearances are terribly short as they're immediately struck down with arrows, but at least they're officially a part of Game of Thrones history, right?
McElhenney's cameo is even cooler when you realize that it's part of an ongoing relationship between the two series. According to IGN, Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have penned a script for the FX comedy, as well as making cameos as lifeguards in an episode of season 12. The GoT superfan posted a screenshot of his cameo on Instagram, confirming his guest spot and poking fun at his character's demise with the caption "Don't blink."
We're pretty sure McElhenney and Starr won't be making another appearance during the final season, but you never know. It's the Greyjoys and as they say, "What is dead may never die."
Allison Williams Faces the Music in the Horrifying Trailer For Netflix's The Perfection
Ever since Get Out, it's been hard to trust Allison Williams's characters in movies. ("Rose, the keys.") She's just that good at playing twisted villains, you know? And now, in Netflix's upcoming horror movie The Perfection, we have another reason for Williams to be popping up in our nightmares.
The first trailer for the film dropped on April 15, and though it doesn't give us much in the way of story, it stars both Williams and Dear White People's Logan Browning as talented musicians who are abroad. Williams plays Charlotte, who's described as a "troubled musical prodigy" who seeks out Elizabeth (Browning), "the new star pupil of her former school." After they meet, the encounter sends both musicians down a deeply twisted path that appears to have some pretty gruesome consequences.
Watch the trailer above, and mark your calendars for when The Perfection arrives on Netflix on Friday, May 24.
Kiernan Shipka Has a New Boyfriend, and No, It's Not Ross Lynch
Kiernan Shipka is officially taken and no, Sabrina fans, we're sorry to say that it's not by her on-screen love interest, Ross Lynch. The 19-year-old Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star sparked rumors of a relationship earlier this Spring when she was spotted hanging out with actor Gary Oldman's up-and-coming-model son, 20-year-old Charlie Oldman. We suppose we can still ship Sabrina and Harvey (or Sabrina and Nick Scratch, depending on which love triangle contender you're routing for) while supporting this IRL relationship as well.
According to E! News, the child star and the child-of-a-star were spotted in March walking arm-in-arm outside of the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where the pair shared an hour-and-a-half dinner together looking rather cozy. In April, Kiernan also accompanied Charlie as his date to the premiere of the documentary Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blache at the Harmony Gold Theatre in Los Angeles. However, the budding romance is no longer just speculation - it is Instagram official. Just a day after the premiere, Charlie shared a picture of him and Kiernan on his Instagram account, simply captioning the photo with a heart emoji - a picture is worth a thousand words, after all.
If you're Googling "Gary Oldman" right now, then we have two words for you: Sirius Black. C'mon, guys. The 61-year-old actor also took home a Golden Globe in 2018 for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour - which was not only his first win, but his first nomination - and celebrated with his family by his side (including, of course, Charlie, as well as his equally cute brother, Gulliver). Other major roles include Lieutenant James Gordon in The Dark Knight, George Smiley in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy, among countless others.
Charlie, however, did not catch the acting bug from his father. A quick look at his Instagram page can tell you that his interests include music, photography, and modeling. Back in November, Kiernan had told Seventeen that she was too busy to date, but it seems she couldn't resist Charlie's charm (and his seriously cool tattoos). Talking about her exhausting Chilling Adventures of Sabrina schedule, the actress said, "I'll wrap on Saturday at 6 a.m., so I'm pretty much useless on Saturday. And then Sunday, I have to get all my stuff done for Monday. Occasionally, the cast can drive me out for a fun time, but work is my number one priority right now."
It's already been confirmed that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will return for at least 16 more episodes (praise Satan!), but here's hoping that Kiernan can manage to balance her insane schedule with her new boyfriend. Though she hasn't shared any cute snaps of her and Charlie yet on her own Instagram, you better believe we'll be waiting with bated breath for any more updates on this exciting new couple. In the meantime, we'll be deciding whether we like the sound of "Chiernan" or "Karlie" better for their celebrity couple name.
Game of Thrones Reminder: Arya's Abilities as a Faceless Man Are Incredibly Useful
As the surviving characters on Game of Thrones condense and come together to fight the final battles, there's more than just swords and arrows at play - there's magic too. The most obvious show of "battle magic," so to speak, is Daenerys's dragons and the White Walkers, but a notable, non-Three-Eyed Raven character wields semi-magical abilities. During her time with the Faceless Men, Arya Stark picked up some very badass - and very creepy - tricks that have already come in handy.
Put simply, the Faceless Men are able to essentially shape-shift in order to carry out their assassinations, which they regard as a religious duty. Not only can they change their faces, but their entire bodies and even voices will shift to match the identity they've taken on temporarily. Their knowledge and training falls somewhere in between outright magic and pure skill or tech, and it's never described specifically how they train to get their powers. Arya's most explicit use of her training in the series so far came back in season six, when she takes on the face of Walder Frey to destroy his family in revenge for the Red Wedding. After poisoning the gathered Freys, she is seen literally peeling off Frey's face and revealing herself to the servant girl.
It's unknown exactly how the Faceless Men carry out their shape-shifting, and Arya hasn't gone into detail at any point. While the literal shape-shifting and "face wearing" is magically based, Arya and other Faceless Men also undergo training that helps them carry out their duties with discretion and skill: one of the key tenets of the brotherhood is to avoid collateral damage, only killing targets with precision. It's implied that the "faces" or masks themselves are the key to unlocking the shape-shifting. The A Song of Ice and Fire novels are a little more specific, explaining that there's alchemy and blood magic involved, as well as a Hall of Faces where "masks" are stored. All in all, it's a useful skill set, but a deeply creepy one, even by Thrones standards!
Why Annabelle Comes Home Might Be the Craziest Movie in the Conjuring Universe Yet
The possessed Annabelle doll is returning for round three, and this time, she's determined to claim a soul. Annabelle Comes Home might just be the most harrowing addition to the universe yet. I should know, because I heard all the ins and outs during my visit to the set in December 2018. What makes this film so different from the previous spooky entries in the series? Well, it seems like Annabelle will have a full arsenal of evil at her disposal, because the film takes place in the very heart of the Warren household: the fearsome Artifact Room that houses some of the most evil artifacts in the world.
During my trip to the set, I spoke to producer Peter Safran about the exciting addition. Why, now, are we being thrust back into the world of the Warrens? After all, the first two Annabelle films take place long before the Warrens come into the picture. This time, they're appearing in special supporting roles.
"We always knew that was a story that we wanted to tell, and we felt that we'd told Annabelle's true origin story," Safran told me. "We liked the opening of The Conjuring with the nurses. So we just thought, 'What happened? Let's start from there. That's at least the origin story of the Warrens and Annabelle."
Yes, Safran confirmed to me that the opening scene of Annabelle Comes Home will be the same as the opening scene in The Conjuring, and then it ramps up from there. So what, exactly, will happen?
Ed and Lorraine decide to take a night off from all their paranormal investigating, and leave their daughter, Judy (McKenna Grace), with a babysitter. In comes said babysitter, aka Mary Ellen, played by Madison Iseman. "She's been babysitting Judy for a while now and is close to the Warrens," Iseman told me. But Judy and Mary Ellen aren't the only two hapless kids in the Warren household on this fateful night. Mary Ellen also brings along her friends, Daniela and Bob (Katie Sarife and Michael Cimino, respectively).
"Bob is just like this goofy, shy, nervous kid," Cimino told me during my visit. "He's totally head over heels for Madison's character, Mary Ellen." Daniela, on the other hand, is a bit of a troublemaker. "She's best friends with Mary Ellen, and she's outgoing and outspoken and fun," Sarife said.
So, now you know the time, the place, and the major players. Where does it all go wrong? Well, somehow, at the beginning of the night, Annabelle gets loose. And that's where the real fun - I mean trouble - begins.
As you may remember, Annabelle is locked away in a very special case in the Warrens' dangerous artifact room for safe keeping. When she gets unleashed, she begins to "activate" the other haunted objects therein. "We always loved the artifact room," Safran said. "We talked about it earlier: that we had given little tastes of it over the course of the other movies. And so, we always did have it in the back of our mind, what an incredible place to be the central point, the nexus, for a whole movie."
So here we are, with one manic possessed doll and a whole treasure trove of evil. Naturally, all hell breaks loose. "The idea of Night at the Museum in the artifact room - it just felt great," Safran continued, "and it's kind of been that the whole way through just from the script development, storyboards, and prepping the movie. Just every step of the way, we were like, 'This is really an interesting one and it just feels different.'"
There's another interesting reason why this film feels so different than the other ones in the universe: it's all going down in one single night. "Our film takes place over the course of 24 hours, so that hasn't been done before in this world," Iseman told me. "It's just very different. I'm curious to see how people will react to it." Safran also noted the timespan as a pretty great device for the film: "I think that the pressure of that is something that's interesting and fun if you ratchet up the tension, and you just never take your foot off the gas . . . I love the fact that it's young people. It's kids solving the problem for themselves."
Sounds like the Warrens won't be around this time to pick up all the pieces. And with an entire room of objects coming to life in addition to the powerful danger of Annabelle, we imagine we're in for more than just a bumpy ride. We just hope that house is still standing at the end of the night.
OMG! John Legend Locked Chrissy Teigen Out of the Room For Talking During Game of Thrones

Longtime Game of Thrones fans have been waiting very patiently (*cough* two years) for the show's final season, and season eight finally premiered on Sunday. This, of course, was a sacred TV-watching holiday for people around the world, including John Legend. During the premiere, Chrissy Teigen posted a couple videos on Twitter of herself breaking back into their media room with a pair of scissors after John locked her out "because we talk too much," tagging hairstylist Jen Atkin and photographer Mike Rosenthal. While I agree that Game of Thrones time is not a time for talking (Dracarys!) and I probably would have done the same if I were John, it's hard not to laugh at the look on his face when Chrissy giddily breaks back into the room. Clearly, she's the true khaleesi of the house!

Inside the Love Lives of the Game of Thrones Cast
Game of Thrones is officially back, y'all! After waiting with bated breath for the beloved HBO series, season eight kicked off with a bang on Sunday. Jon Snow returned to Winterfell with the queen herself, Daenerys Targaryen, and Tyrion Lannister reunited with ex-wife Sansa Stark for the first time since King Joffrey's wedding. Oh, and don't even get us started on that sneaky It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia cameo! Since it's been a while since we've seen the cast, you might be wondering about their real-life love lives. Who's single and who's taken? Well, don't worry: we got you covered!
PS - we don't blame you for still swooning over Kit Harington, even though he's married now. After all, there's no harm in just looking, right?
Ariana Grande Surprised Coachella With *NSYNC - and Why Yes, It Is Tearing Up My Heart
Ariana Grande closed out the first weekend of 2019 Coachella with a bang - and a boy band. After some teasing in the days leading up to her performance, the singer surprised the festival crowd with an appearance by *NSYNC. Though unexpected, the joint performance made sense after Ariana had previously sampled *NSYNC's "It Makes Me Ill" for "Break Up With Your Girlfriend." The group performed both of those songs, in addition to "Tearin' Up My Heart."
Justin Timberlake unfortunately wasn't in attendance, having just completed his Man of the Woods tour the night prior. Despite his absence, however, it seemed like Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick had a blast. Fatone wrote on Instagram, "Was a great time and a chance to perform with my brothers once again." Ahead, see clips and photos from one of the more memorable Coachella moments in recent memory.
Game of Thrones: Everything You Need to Know About Dragonglass and Why It's So Important
In the wide and wild world of Westeros, Dragonglass resembles obsidian, a type of naturally occurring glass formed by volcanoes. But unlike real-world obsidian, dragonglass in Game of Thrones has magical significance, since along with Valyrian steel, it's one of the only substances known to kill wights and White Walkers. With season eight back, it's on everyone's tongues as the battle with the undead is heating up (or perhaps we should say chilling up?).
What Powers Does Dragonglass Have?
We've seen the incredible powers dragonglass has time and time again over the course of the show's previous seven seasons. Samwell Tarly discovers a bag of dragonglass beyond The Wall and uses an ancient dagger to kill a White Walker. Later, Bran witnesses the Children of the Forest plunging a dragonglass dagger into a man's heart, creating the first White Walker. When Benjen Stark rescues Bran, he reveals that he was attacked by a White Walker and would have become one himself if the Children had not stabbed him with dragonglass, halting the transformation process. So dragonglass can create, destroy, and halt the birth of White Walkers.
In season seven, Sam realizes that a substantial amount of dragonglass can be found on Dragonstone, the ancestral home of House Targaryen on an island near Blackwater Bay. This is what prompts Jon to form an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen so that he could mine the substance in hopes that he and his group could create arrows, spears, battleaxes, hatchets, and daggers made from it. That way, when the oncoming war with the Night King began, they'd have at least one advantage.
Why Is Dragonglass So Important?
Dragonglass isn't the only weapon that can kill White Walkers. Valyrian steel has also been proven to stop the dead, but there are only a handful of Valyrian steel swords left. Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of White Walkers, and their numbers only seem to be growing. There isn't much dragonglass left, but with the stashes of daggers found in the North and massive deposits in Dragonstone, there's certainly more dragonglass to go around than Valyrian steel.
With the weapons Jon and co. were able to craft during their time at Dragonstone, hopefully the living will have an edge over the undead horde currently marching its way to Winterfell. At the very least, let's hope that they had the foresight to create a dragonglass weapon that is at least powerful enough to take down a wight dragon zombie (a wagon? A drombie?), now that the Night King has his frigid hands on Viserion.
A Quick and Handy Guide to Daenerys's Dragons on Game of Thrones
A lot of us might claim we watch Game of Thrones for the drama, the betrayals, and the shocking moments that still haunt us. But, let's be real for a second: even eight seasons later, we watch it for the motherf*cking dragons. There are few things as exciting as hearing Daenerys Targaryen utter the word "Dracarys" to her three - oops, now two - fire-breathing children who have given the show an extra something-something ever since rising from the ashes of Khal Drogo's funeral pyre in season one. Although we don't get to see them as often as we'd like (even HBO can't cough up all that CGI money), here's a quick guide to each of Dany's children.
Hustlers: Here's When J.Lo and Cardi B's Stripper Scam Saga Hits Theaters
A movie about strippers scamming their rich clients out of cash? Sign me the f*ck up! In March, it was announced that hip-hop darling Cardi B would be making her big-screen debut in the upcoming film Hustlers, which also stars Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Julia Stiles, and Keke Palmer - and this week, Lopez revealed when we'll get to see this masterpiece hit the big screen: September 13, 2019. Also involved are actresses Mercedes Ruehl, Mette Towley, and Trace Lysette. Like I said: sign me the f*ck up.
Writer-director Lorene Scafaria is at the helm of the project, which is inspired by a 2016 New York Magazine article that follows a group of former strippers who squad up to hustle money out of their Wall Street clientele. It began filming in NYC on March 22, and Lopez was spotted wearing some seriously nostalgic costumes on set. This is going to be good!
Honestly, Things Aren't Looking Too Hot For Daenerys's Survival in Game of Thrones Season 8
If there's one thing that Game of Thrones fans understand, it's that no one, especially your favorite characters, is safe. Since the moment Daenerys Targaryen has entered the scene, her life has been in constant danger from all sides, and she's met every threat with "fire and blood." With Game of Thrones' final season finally here, the dangers have never been greater, and we're combing over every clue for a hint of what the Dragon Queen's fate may be. Now, call us paranoid, but it looks like we may have gotten a tiny hint that all won't be well for Daenerys, and we're absolutely shook.
In season eight's premiere, there are a lot of things going on for Daenerys. She's arriving in Winterfell, meeting the family of her new lover (whew), trying to keep her dragons happy, and figuring out how the Northerners feel about her. It's rocky from the get-go: the people of the North make it super clear that they didn't invite the queen and her retinue and they don't agree with their former king's decision to bend the knee. But that's totally fine, because Daenerys still has Jon, right? The two even embark on a romantic dragon ridge through the North, ending up at a gorgeous waterfall in the snowy wilderness. Taking in the stunning view, Daenerys turns to her beau and tells him, "We could stay a thousand years. No one would find us." The two embrace and it's all very sweet and endearing (if you ignore the fact that they're related and still don't know). But if something in your head gave you a nagging feeling, there's a good reason behind that.
We've actually heard a similar phrase spoken to Jon Snow before, and the woman who said it to him didn't end up faring too well. In fact, she died in his arms not too much later. Ygritte, Jon's wildling lover (played by Kit Harington's real-life wife, Rose Leslie) said as much to him back in season three when they consummated their relationship in a cave. "I don't ever want to leave this cave, Jon Snow," Ygritte says. "Not ever." Considering she dies in his arms in season four, maybe they should have stayed there after all. And that's exactly what she says to him as she takes her last breath.
It's a little creepy how similar the phrases are, especially when you consider the similarities between the relationships as well. Both Daenerys and Ygritte are tough, well-respected women who challenge Jon. They're also women who aren't quite right for him, whether it's because Ygritte is a wildling that never wants to live on the other side of the wall or that Daenerys is, well, his aunt. They both are whirlwind romances that don't bode well for either party. So, it's possible Daenerys's words may hint at her dismal fate in the future.
Now, we don't want to think of one of the show's well-loved characters meeting their untimely end, but considering how Daenerys is always jumping into danger, it's not far-fetched to believe she won't make it out of the final season alive. Keep reading for our theories on how the Dragon Queen might end her journey on Game of Thrones.
An Uncomfortable Reminder of How Daenerys and Jon Snow Are Related on Game of Thrones
Incest-y spoilers for Game of Thrones below, so proceed with caution!
For so long, one of the biggest questions on the minds of Game of Thrones fans everywhere was that of Jon Snow's parents: who are they? Not Ned, and certainly not Catelynn, but his real parents.
Finally, after many seasons of speculation, Game of Thrones confirmed Lyanna Stark is indeed Jon Snow's mother in the season six finale. Then, in the season seven finale, we learn that Jon is a legitimate heir to the Iron Throne - he's the son of both Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen, making him Ned Stark's nephew, not his son. This is a tragedy on many different levels - the first and most obvious being that Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are related. Though their connection is undeniable, boning your aunt is kind of a mood killer, you know?
As a reminder, Rhaegar Targaryen is Daenerys's oldest brother and the eldest son of "Mad" King Aerys II, which made him heir to the Iron Throne. The Targaryens were originally allies with the Lannisters way back when, and Cersei always thought she would be betrothed to Rhaegar. In the end, though, a wedge grew between the two families when the Mad King instead had Rhaegar marry Elia Martell of Dorne, with whom he had two children. But everything really fell apart in the Seven Kingdoms when Rhaegar laid eyes on Lyanna Stark at the Tourney of Harrenhal.
It was love at first sight for Rhaegar, who found himself instantly smitten with Ned Stark's sister. Even though she was Robert Baratheon's betrothed, Rhaegar boldly gave the victor's wreath he won in the tournament to Lyanna instead of his wife, sparking outrage. As the story goes, Rhaegar later allegedly abducted Lyanna and raped her, but as we now know from season six, she was just as in love with him as he was with her; she went with him of her own free will and they secretly got married.
Their love affair is what spurs Robert Baratheon's rebellion, backed by the great Houses Arryn, Greyjoy, Stark, and Tully. Finally, in the Battle of the Trident, Robert gets his revenge by killing Rhaegar with his war hammer. Tragically, Lyanna later dies, too, as she gives birth to Jon in the Tower of Joy.
All of this is to say that Jon Snow is very much Dany's nephew, and therefore heir to the Targaryen throne himself.
In the season eight premiere, the pair gets closer than ever (much to the chagrin of Drogon, who keeps a VERY close eye on them as they make out by an icy waterfall). It's not until the final few scenes of the episode, when Samwell Tarly finds Jon in the crypts of Winterfell and relays the news about his real parents, that we start to see a crack in the former King in the North's calm, measured facade.
It'll be interesting to see what Jon does with the news that Rhaegar is his father, and if he'll try to stake a claim for the Iron Throne in competition with Daenerys. Given his reaction to Sam's confession, that seems a bit unlikely. Instead, we hope that Jon and Dany will find a way to unite the Targaryens and the Starks in the way that Lyanna and Rhaegar never got a chance to.
Why Kylo Ren Is Probably Switching Sides in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker months away from release, questions about the galaxy's status are popping up left and right. Besides wondering what in tarnation Palpatine is doing back in the franchise, we're also curious about Kylo Ren's status. While the villain isn't in much of the first trailer, his brief appearance is enough to send us down conspiracy theory holes about his fate, particularly if he'll make a return to the light side of the Force.
Formerly training to be a Jedi, Kylo Ren has executed downright evil acts, such as patricide and genocide. His actions are irredeemable for some, even if he has done things like save Rey. But the wayward Ben Solo has always been a morally ambiguous character, not pegged to a heroic archetype like Rey or Luke. So him becoming good in the new movie wouldn't be a total curveball.
What evidence do we have to predict his return (even if temporary) to the light side? Well, the title The Rise of Skywalker may refer to Kylo who, by blood, is half Skywalker because his mother is Leia. Kylo may possibly return to his Jedi roots and reclaim his honorable Skywalker heritage. In the teaser, it also looks like he might be fighting a Knight of Ren, who's supposed to be on the dark side with him. If he's not actually going head to head with a disguised Resistance Fighter here, this may hint toward Kylo siding with the good guys.
Kylo could follow his grandfather's trajectory and go from joining the dark side to making a final sacrifice as Anakin did in Return of the Jedi. After all, it looks like Palpatine, who's way more evil than Darth Vader, is back. Ben might find himself a common enemy with the Resistance, and the dark and light sides of the Force may team up to vanquish a greater evil. Or, he could be motivated by his feelings for Rey, though whether they're as a romantic partner or big brother is yet to be determined. Still, not only is this redemption narrative predictable, but people also might consider such a move unsatisfying given how evil Ben Solo has become.
We probably won't see a twist with him being good all along like Snape in Harry Potter or being brainwashed by Palpatine or Snoke after all of these years. (Though, there's a popular theory that he's been infiltrating the bad guys.) But it's doubtful that he'll love having Palpatine around and possibly whispering into his ear. Remember what he told Rey in The Last Jedi? After killing Snoke, he says, "Let old things die. Snoke. Skywalker. The Sith. The Jedi. The Rebels. Let it all die." Kylo has established himself as someone who sees himself beyond destiny, cyclical narratives, and allegiances. What the future holds for him, barring mind control or some other unusual situation, is totally up to him.
25 Times Lily Collins's Instagram Motivated Our Life Goals
We're calling it right now: 2019 is Lily Collins's year. For starters, she is starring alongside Zac Efron in the extremely eerie film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. In case you haven't heard, Efron is taking on the role of one of the worst serial killers in US history, Ted Bundy, and Collins is starring as his girlfriend, Liz Kendall (aka Elizabeth Kloepfer). The film will be released in both theaters and on Netflix on May 3, so if you're looking for a followup to Netflix's Conversations With a Killer, mark your calendars.
Additionally, Collins has a starring role alongside Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming film based on J.R.R. Tolkien's formative years, called Tolkien, which hits theaters May 10. And finally, Collins's role as the orphan Fantine in the PBS adaptation of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables finally debuted on April 14 (we could hardly wait "one day more").
Because we can't get enough of Collins, we've been mining her Instagram feed to catch more glimpses of the impressive Hollywood sensation, and we've come to the conclusion that her life is our new manual for major life decisions. Click through for our favorite moments!
The Sweet Significance Behind Jon Riding Rhaegal in the Game of Thrones Premiere
Warning: Jon Snow-related spoilers below, so proceed with caution!
At the very least, I can say that the Game of Thrones season eight premiere contains no shortage of surprises. In addition to Euron and Cersei getting busy (after mourning the absence of those freakin' elephants), Jaime having an awkward run-in with Bran, and other long-awaited reunions, the first episode of the eighth season includes lovebirds Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen taking a goofy dragon ride through the Northern countryside.
The moment, though filled with cheesy dialogue and allusions to Aladdin's "A Whole New World" scene, is also a fairly important one: someone other than Dany is able to ride a dragon, y'all! Suddenly the Three Heads of the Dragon prophecy is seeming more important (and confusing) than ever. Jon's ability to tame and ride Daenerys's green-tinged dragon, Rhaegal, isn't necessarily a surprise - he essentially cuddles with Drogon back in the season seven episode "Eastwatch," and now we know that he indeed has Targaryen blood running through his veins. In fact, Jon's real father, Rhaegar Targaryen, makes his dragon ride all the more significant.
All three of Dany's dragons are named after someone important to her. Her favorite, Drogon, is the namesake of her late husband, Khal Drogo, while Viserion (who's now under the Night King's control) is a nod to her dead, abusive brother, Viserys. As for Rhaegal, the dragon is named after Rhaegar, Daenerys's eldest brother and Jon's biological dad, who died before the events of the show. Since Jon takes the dragon for a spin at the start of the episode, he has no idea that Rhaegal is actually the namesake of his real father. He doesn't find out the truth until the end of the premiere, when Samwell Tarly finally explains the truth of his lineage in the Winterfell crypt.
It'll be interesting to see what Jon does with the news that Rhaegar is his father, which means that he therefore has a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne, and also his new boo is his, um, aunt. (Kind of a mood killer, you know?) Hopefully Jon and Dany will find a way to unite the Targaryens and the Starks in the way that Lyanna and Rhaegar never got a chance to.
Longtime Belieber Billie Eilish Finally Met Justin at Coachella, and It Was Adorable
Billie Eilish is just like all of us, as in, she freaks the f*ck out when meeting celebrities. Despite the 17-year-old pop star's huge rise to fame and her impressive Coachella performance debut, she still gets starstruck! Over the weekend, Billie met Justin Bieber for the first time during Ariana Grande's headline performance, and it was so damn pure.
Billie, who is a longtime Belieber, recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she talked about her obsession with the Biebs and how she freaked out when he followed her on Instagram. But the joy of getting a follow from Justin doesn't even come close to the joy she felt when meeting him in real life.
Scooter Braun captured the interaction, and we have a feeling it'll go down as the best hug Billie's ever received. She's literally at a loss for words! Watch the adorable clip above and see more from their sweet hangout ahead.
Get Your Night Lights Ready - Here's the Annabelle Comes Home Cast
Thought James Wan was taking a break from horror altogether when he worked on Aquaman? Well, he's still going to be producing the sources of your nightmares this year, including the skin-crawling Annabelle Comes Home. If you're obsessed with the Conjuring universe like us, you're in for a treat with the third installation of the creepy doll movie. The upcoming film will, of course, feature our favorite horror patriarch and matriarch: Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. But you'll also see fresh blood (perhaps confronting actual blood by the looks of the terrifying trailer) such as Mckenna Grace and Madison Iseman. Check out the cast ahead - we promise there won't be any jump scares!
Game of Thrones MVP: 5 Moments From the Season 8 Premiere That Prove Sansa Stark Is a Boss
Welcome to Game of Thrones: MVP of the Week, a new feature in which we crown the character who stands out most during each episode of season eight. The MVP may have had the most kills, the best monologue, or died the most heroic death. (Hey, we're just covering all our bases!)
The final season premiere of Game of Thrones started off with a castle-full of drama, intrigue, and a healthy dose of pettiness. The Dragon Queen arrives in Winterfell and the preparations for the Great Battle are underway. Considering that almost every main character from the last few seasons has some stellar moments in the premiere, you would think it would be hard to pick one who should own the title of "Most Valuable Player," but there is one clear winner claiming the throne for this week: Sansa Stark, Lady of Winterfell.
Now I can already sense the side eyes and the hurt feelings, but there's just no denying that the eldest daughter of House Stark came for people's necks in the premiere. She takes no sh*t from her special guests and doles out zingers like she's serving House of Frey pot pies. It's amazing to see Sansa - who is now firmly established and comfortable with her place as a leader for her people - speak with folks who haven't figured out that she's not a shallow little girl anymore. She has no problem asking the hard questions, forcing people to realize they aren't as smart as they think they are.
Keep reading to see the many ways Sansa Stark came out on top during Sunday's episode and, once you've finally converted to Team Sansa, check out all the other major moments from this season premiere!
