Zara and Mike Tindall Have a Ton of Royally Cute Moments Together - See Them All!
Congrats are in order for Zara and Mike Tindall! The couple will be celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary on July 30, and from the looks of it, they're still crazy about each other. Not only are they the British royal family's most loved-up couple, but they are also parents to two beautiful little girls, 5-year-old Mia and 1-year-old Lena. Even though Zara is 18th in line to the British throne (her mother is Princess Anne), the pair leads a pretty normal life as they don't have any official titles and they don't take part in many royal duties. Zara is an Olympic-medal-winning equestrian, while Mike is an English rugby legend.
In fact, the way they met was actually quite normal, too. In an interview with Australia's 60 Minutes, Zara revealed that she and Mike first crossed paths at the Manly Wharf bar in Sydney during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Mike was apparently trying to ease the pain after he was dropped from the England team before the semifinals. "It kind of went from there," she said. And the rest is history. The New Downton Abbey Movie Poster Is Nothing Short of Glamorous
Hopefully you have a steaming pot of tea at your disposal, because you'll need it after looking at all of the posters for the Downton Abbey movie.
The most recently released poster, which made its debut on July 22, features the Crawley family standing inside their stately home looking every bit as regal as ever, while the house staff strikes a pose below. The new image comes after a handful of group posters and solo shots released ahead of the film's September debut. For instance, Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) make cameos in two of the posters celebrating the film, both wearing beaded, flapper-style gowns and silk gloves that have us suddenly craving a reread of The Great Gatsby (we see that '20s bob, Mary). In addition to the Crawley siblings, the posters also feature a sliver of Thomas Barrow (Robert James-Collier) and Andrew "Andy" Parker (Michael C. Fox), looking sharp n their uniforms.
For those of you who still haven't found the time to binge-watch all six seasons of the critically acclaimed TV series that follows the lives of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them at the turn of the 20th century, hopefully you'll get a chance before the Downton Abbey movie hits theaters on Sept. 20, 2019.

Can't Remember If Certain Batteries Are Dead? Try This Simple (and Really Cool) Trick
Have you ever gone to turn the channel while watching TV and your remote suddenly stopped working? Or you notice the hands on the clock on the wall definitely haven't moved in over an hour? After you desperately search for spare batteries and find a handful of loose ones in a random drawer, you probably have no idea if they are fresh or were used before. But instead of wasting time trying to remember, there's a supersimple trick to figuring out if your batteries are out of charge or not.
All you have to do is hold the battery a few inches above a hard surface, such as a hardwood floor or a kitchen table. If you release the battery and it falls straight down, hitting the surface with a "thump" sound, then that means the battery is charged. A charged battery may also "stand up" on its own when dropped. On the other hand, if you drop the battery and it bounces and falls over, that means the battery is dead and will not be able to provide any power to your devices.
Why does this happen? Well, according to the above video, when the alkaline inside a battery becomes depleted, it creates a gas, which causes its inability to stand up on its own.

Speaking of laughs, she also made appearances in Bill Hader's Barry acting class on HBO as Sasha. Soon after, she jumped into the world of Neptune to take over Comrade Quacks and provided a necessary reality check to Bell's Veronica.

I don't know about you, but I spent many a night as a kid reading (and later, having nightmares about) Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series. (If parking anywhere at night doesn't give you flashbacks to "The Hook," then you're made of much stronger stuff than I.) And now, because apparently he doesn't want me to sleep as an adult, either, Guillermo del Toro is bringing the iconic tales to the big screen.
The film adaptation of the same name is directed by André Øvredal, and was penned by del Toro, Daniel Hageman, and Kevin Hageman. Judging from the new trailer for the horror flick, which hits theaters on Aug. 9, it seems the creepy visuals were directly inspired by the original illustrations for Schwartz's books done by Stephen Gammell. Starring Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, and more, the official plot description from Lionsgate is as follows:
"It's l968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind . . . but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time - stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah's terrifying tome."

Let me get something off my chest really quick: what the hell, Veronica Mars?! How could you do that?! OK, OK. Deep breaths. Before I spin out into a rage spiral, let me back up and explain, you guys. (Just be warned: Giant spoilers for Veronica Mars ahead!)
After showrunner Rob Thomas brought the beloved mystery drama back from the dead for a fourth season on Hulu this Summer, fans likely expected to see Kristen Bell's titular character balancing solving crimes like she did in the original three seasons with her romance with longtime love Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring). And for most of the eight-episode season, she does! She and Logan are living together, with Logan occasionally needing to jet off with the Navy while Veronica holds down the fort in Neptune. In season four, the couple even teams up to help figure out who the bomber plaguing Neptune is (and they get married!). And then, in the last few minutes of the finale, Logan is tragically blown to smithereens by one final bomb. So, again I say: what the hell, Veronica Mars?!
Although Thomas has defended the decision, Logan's untimely demise is not sitting well with fans (I can vouch). Watching Logan finally evolve into the more mature, stable partner that Veronica not only deserved, but desperately needed, only to receive a pointless death? So she can . . . what, become even more cynical and jaded than she already is? It's disappointing, to say the least. Fortunately, we can all grieve Logan together, as you'll see in the tweets ahead.

Not only does Beyoncé lend her voice-acting skills to the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's The Lion King, but she also released an entire album with music inspired by the film! On July 16, the 37-year-old musician - who voices Nala in the film - announced her latest musical masterpiece: The Lion King: The Gift, an album curated and produced by the singer herself. In an interview with ABC News, she revealed that the album is "a love letter to Africa" and a whole new musical genre inspired by the movie.
"This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it," she told ABC News. "I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa," she added of the album, which features drums and chants mixed with "incredible new sounds mixed with some of the producers from America . . . each song tells the story of the film."
The Lion King: The Gift features a plethora of global artists, such as Burna Boy, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, Blue Ivy Carter (yes, Blue's discography is growing, people), Wiz Kid, Tiera Whack, 070 Shake, as well as several tracks with Beyoncé herself.
The singer described the album as "sonic cinema," saying that it was a new way to experience storytelling. "It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn't one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop, and Afro Beat," she explained. "I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline. Each song was written to reflect the film's storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me."
