Where can I buy cute, well-made clothes that I actually still like after wearing them once? Story of my life. It's probably yours, too. That's why I'm here to offer you a well-rounded list of the Zara and H&Ms of the world you didn't even know existed. Jason Momoa Rings in His 40th Birthday With a Surprise Party and - Wait For It - a Guinness Cake
Jason Momoa's pals proved how well they know him with a fun-filled surprise birthday party on Saturday. The Aquaman actor technically celebrates his 40th next week on Aug. 1, but his friends couldn't help but give him an early bash before the actual big day. If your invite got lost in the mail, never fear. Jason gave fans an inside look at the festivities on his YouTube channel - and yes, Emilia Clarke made an appearance.
While Jason thought he was going out for a casual sushi dinner, his friends were actually planning a party full of his favorite things (including his drink of choice, Guinness) behind-the-scenes. Plenty of f-bombs started rolling as his loved ones took him by surprise, but the swearing was quickly replaced by excited hugs and FaceTiming his wife, Lisa Bonet, and kids, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf. Lindsey Vonn on Life After Retirement: "I Want to Work and I Want to Work Hard"
If you looked up "success" in the dictionary, Lindsey Vonn's face might as well be there. The 34-year-old has the most World Cup victories - 82 - of any female skier and became the first American woman to win gold in the downhill ski event at the 2010 Winter Games. She skied her last race at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships on Feb. 10 and finished third, making her the oldest woman to win a medal at worlds. It also made her the first female skier to win medals at six different world championships. So, yes, Lindsey's career was defined by success, but she's also no stranger to injury. At the Red Bull's Celebration of Lindsey Vonn event this month, the now-retired athlete spoke to POPSUGAR about recovering from her most recent knee surgery, getting back to her new normal, and plans for the future.
Lindsey underwent surgery in early April for a torn lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in her left knee. This injury was sustained when she crashed while training in November 2018. Postponing surgery due to "obligations," as she wrote on her Instagram, further exacerbated the issue - the doctors found a meniscus tear and damage that required chondroplasty of her knee cap. Recovering this time around was hard, Lindsey said, because she wasn't going back to the sport she loves.
Lindsey told POPSUGAR, "I've had so many surgeries, it can be really mentally difficult, especially now that I didn't have anything to come back for. In the past, I always was just trying to get back quickly so I could ski, but now I don't have that, so it was basically just a quality of living that I was looking to get back to, to where I didn't hurt as much and was strong enough to be able to be athletic." The biggest thing that helped her through the initial rehab was staying positive and not getting herself down. Her support system - she specifically mentioned her dogs and her boyfriend, hockey player P.K. Subban - also helped. Taking care of what she eats and getting those workouts in, even if modified, currently keeps her energy up.
Lindsey has made a lot of progress since April's surgery (you can find footage of her back in the gym with a brace that same month). She still can't run, which she said she's OK with. She can't do any quick agility moves and has to "keep things in a very linear plane right now," she explained, adding that her focus is strengthening her quad, hamstring, and glutes on that left side, especially so they support and stabilize her knee.
"I want to work and I want to work hard."
For anyone recovering from an injury, Lindsey advised them to start slow and set goals but "don't get your expectations out of whack because you'll just get disappointed, and it'll deter you from going back to the gym." Even if walking 10 minutes is your starting point, that's completely fine, Lindsey said. Easing into recovery toward where you used to be is key.
In terms of her ventures ahead, whether they're through her female-focused Lindsey Vonn Foundation or otherwise - she's working on a beauty line and a memoir and has plans to go into movie production - Lindsey said that she's taking with her one major lesson from her ski career: "hard work pays off." Her plan is to surround herself with people who know what they're doing business-wise so that she can learn from them and find her footing post-retirement. "I want to work and I want to work hard," she stated, "and hopefully that translates into success."

Power naps are those short, revitalizing rest periods we take throughout the day to get our energy back up when we need it most. They're short, sweet, and certainly feel effective whether you're a sleep-deprived college student or working long hours at your job. But it's natural to wonder whether these short naps can actually help you catch up on sleep, or if they're setting you back even further.
"Short naps or power naps definitely do work," said Rafael Pelayo, MD, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Stanford Center For Sleep Sciences and Medicine. Though the sweet spot for naps seems to be between 30 and 40 minutes, he told POPSUGAR, if you have time in your schedule for a short nap when you need one, it can give you a quick bump of energy. And for people who struggle with narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that leads to chronic drowsiness during the daytime, Dr. Pelayo said that short, scheduled naps can be an effective treatment.
You should pay attention, though, to what happens during your short five- to 10-minute naps. Typically, Dr. Pelayo explained, it takes our bodies about 90 minutes to enter REM sleep, which is the period in which you'll experience dreams. If you're not getting enough sleep at night, that REM period is typically the part you're cutting off. Your body responds by slipping directly into REM as soon as you get a chance to nap.
In practice, this means that if you're remembering dreams that you have during short 10- to 20-minute naps, "then really your body's screaming at you that you're not getting enough sleep," Dr. Pelayo said. Short power naps feel good and are good for you, helping you to catch up on sleep, but if you're relying on them regularly and experiencing deep sleep and intense dreams during that rest period, it's worth reevaluating your sleep schedule and trying to get more of your shut-eye at night.

Meet the New Royals! The Crown Gives a Glimpse of Season 3 With These Images
It's officially a new chapter of The Crown. In July 2018, Netflix released the first look at Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II for season three, and now we finally have plenty of glimpses of the upcoming season. The English actress will be taking over for Claire Foy, who played the role for the first two seasons.
Colman isn't the only new cast member for season three. Since season three will take place in the late '60s and into the late 1970s, the series is replacing the main cast with new, older actors to more accurately portray the passing of time. Helena Bonham Carter has signed on to play Princess Margaret and Ben Daniels is on board as as Antony Armstrong-Jones.
In addition to those casting updates, Tobias Menzies will play Prince Philip and, eventually, season four will introduce Princess Diana. See the first glamorous images from the upcoming season ahead.

Tess Holliday on How to Deal With Body-Shamers: “They’re Not Paying Your Bills”
First thing's first - body-shamers don't phase Tess Holliday. The plus-sized model told POPSUGAR that when her size is being attacked on social media, she doesn't really care. "Calling me fat is nothing to me," she said. "I know I'm fat."
Though Holliday is able to tune out any negativity that comes her way, she has solid advice for those who might feel disheartened by negative comments they've received.
"For everyone else - do your best to remember that social media is not real life," she said. "These people don't know you. They're not paying your bills, and the best thing you can do is just to block it out and be kind to yourself and I fully think that taking social media breaks is totally healthy and we should do it often."
She explains that she believes the attacks are a projection of the person's unhappiness and that it has nothing to do with who she is as a person and what she does.
Holliday's career has been centered around spreading the message of body positivity - having created the viral #effyourbeautystandards hashtag, which kicked off a community that encourages people to share their stories.
It's this drive to empower others that drove the kismet collaboration between her and self-tanning brand Isle of Paradise. The newly-minted spokesperson for the brand's "Get Body Posi" Campaign - which aims to put body acceptance above beauty industry standards - was influenced by how she'd aligned with its messaging and its efforts to collaborate with people who are making an impact in the body-positive community.
