Amal Clooney Signed Off on This Nail Polish Named After Her
There are a lot of reasons to admire Amal Clooney. She's a New York University Law educated barrister who specializes in international law and human rights, has worked alongside Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor, and has a stellar sense of style. It turns out her manicurist Gina Alcedo agrees, and just named a nail polish after her - of which the lawyer personally approved. The color, NVLA Nail Polish in Amal-ified ($18), is a red-orange hue in the brand's Hollywood Collection.
"Amal is such an inspiration," Alcedo said. "I'm so grateful to know her and work with her. So, when I was developing my Hollywood Collection, I knew I had to include a color in her honor. She is always on-the-go and inspires women and people worldwide through her work and philanthropy."
Like the rest of the line, the formula is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and 8-free. "Some of the looks we used as inspiration for the color were a red dress suit Amal wore to the United Nations last year and a Proenza Schouler dress she wore in New York," she said. "Once I felt we nailed it [the color], I showed it Amal and she personally approved it."

When Christine and Brian wed, they wanted a fun and lighthearted day for their guests, and what better way to do so than with a Star Wars-themed wedding? To make things even better, the wedding took place on May 4 - that's right, Star Wars day! The franchise had a big impact on their life because they initially bonded over the movie. Additionally, Christine grew up watching the movies with her father. Sadly, he passed away in 2017, so the Star Wars theme had a greater sentimental meaning to the couple. "His favorite band was Pearl Jam and his favorite song was 'Just Breathe'," said Christine. "Since he couldn't be there to dance with me I had a dance with my mom to this song and within a minute we invited every guest to dance with us in honor of my dad."
There were some other cute moments during the day. Christine absolutely loved the first-look photos because Brian understandably got very emotional when he saw his bride for the first time in her wedding gown. Additionally, the wedding was officiated by Christine's cousin, who personalized the vows with many Star Wars references. All of this accumulated to a lovely and joyful wedding. Disney's 2019 D23 Expo is spoiling us! Not only did the company drop a first look at the remake of Lady and the Tramp, but it also released the film's first trailer. It's a terribly romantic video that highlights the film's biggest stars, real-life shelter pups Rose and Monte, who play Lady and Tramp, respectively. It also gives us a first listen to the vocal talents of Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux, who are voicing the two adorable pups who find love in a hopeless place (aka somewhere in the Midwest).
