Every Starbucks Fan Must Visit This 4-Story Roastery Opening in Chicago
Starbucks is opening a new Starbucks Reserve Roastery location, and it's going to be epic! The four-story coffee shop will open in Chicago on Nov. 15, according to Delish, and it's the ultimate pit stop for serious Starbucks fans only. In case you haven't experienced the Starbucks Reserve Roastery before, just know that it's essentially a coffee-lover's Disneyland, and it serves specialty craft coffees that you won't find at your average Starbucks.
The new Reserve location in Chicago is located on North Michigan Avenue in a space that formerly housed Crate & Barrel, and it's the sixth one in the US, following the original Roastery in Seattle, which opened in 2014, the Shanghai Reserve from 2017, the Roasteries in New York City and Milan, which opened in 2018, and this year's newest location in Tokyo. Plans for the new spot were first announced in 2017, and now the opening is finally almost here.
Visitors who make their way to the Chicago Reserve Roastery, which is the largest of the six, can expect a "fully sensorial coffee environment dedicated to roasting, brewing and packaging its rare, small-batch Starbucks Reserve coffees from around the world," according to a statement from Starbucks. "Tailored to the Chicago customer, the interactive four-story, 43,000-square-foot space will also be designed to bring coffee craft to life by offering multiple brewing methods, specialty Reserve beverages and mixology." Essentially, if you take your coffee more seriously than you do just about anything else, this is the ultimate destination.
In the initial press release, Starbucks's former Executive Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz explained why this location is extraspecial, saying, "Having opened our first Starbucks store in Chicago nearly 30 years ago, our first outside of Seattle, this is a very special city for me. At the time, it was a true test for Starbucks because the Chicago customer is so savvy and discerning about their coffee."
Starbucks might not typically be on your Chicago sightseeing list, but we have a feeling it will be now.

See This Deaf Woman's Wholesome Reaction to People in Her Community Using Sign Language
If you need a reason to smile today, this Deaf woman's heartwarming Tik Tok video will absolutely do the trick. When 19-year-old Chrissy went out to run errands for the day, she wasn't expecting to come across so many people in her community who could speak to her with American Sign Language. "Today I went to three places and at all three, people signed!" Chrissy said excitedly in the video. She then went on to describe her visit to the bank, a local Starbucks, and a pizza restaurant, where she was delighted to find that the people around her could sign, making it easier for her to communicate with them. "It was like a perfect world. It was like a utopia," she said.
September is Deaf Awareness Month, and Chrissy's video sends an important message that learning even a few essential ASL signs can have a huge impact on the Deaf community and those around us who have difficulties communicating verbally. "Very rarely do I have a day like this," Chrissy said in a Twitter post. "I don't really think about how detached I can be sometimes until people around me engage, it's crazy just being able to comfortably chat with everyone made me so happy. I seriously thought I was being pranked or something lol."
A student at the University of California's School of Cinematic Arts, Chrissy is a self-proclaimed Deaf activist and content creator with her own YouTube channel, The Essential Sign.
"I'm Deaf. My whole family is hearing, so I was mainstreamed and did speech therapy for 13 years," Chrissy says on her YouTube "About" page. "At a young age, I recognized my situation and I took the initiative to learn sign language and become involved in the Deaf community. I have communicated with ASL for 8 years (I'm still not perfect) and it has made my life so much more accessible and given me the ability to communicate comfortably. ASL is a language I rely on daily and I do not take it for granted. But Deaf is not all I am, I am currently 19 and in college majoring in Film and Digital Media. I love creating, experimenting and learning. I am using YouTube's platform to talk about my experiences and spread awareness about the Deaf community, ASL, the value of communication, and accessibility."

Reminder: This Is What It's Bill Skarsgard Looks Like Under All That Scary Clown Makeup
Image Source: Everett Collection, Getty / Jamie McCarthy
With a new addition to the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's bone-chilling It now in theaters, that means Pennywise the Clown has also arrived to terrorize us. While the spooky villain appeared more as a standard clown in the 1990 miniseries (crisp white face paint, a red nose, bright red hair, Gwen Stefani in 2000-thin eyebrows), the latest version of Pennywise is significantly more horrifying. So, who's the man underneath the clown's fearsome veneer in It Chapter Two? It's Swedish actor Bill Skarsgard once again!
You might recognize Skarsgard's name thanks to older brother Alexander Skarsgard, famous for True Blood and Big Little Lies or their father, longtime actor and Thor star Stellan Skarsgard. It and its sequel also aren't his first forays into horror. After racking up a host of roles in movies like Simple Simon (for which he was nominated for the Swedish equivalent of an Oscar), Anna Karenina, and Victoria, he starred on all three seasons of Netflix's Hemlock Grove as Roman Godfrey, a half vampire.
Since then, he's gone on to play Matthew in the dystopian YA series Allegiant and German informant Merkel in 2017 spy thriller Atomic Blonde. More recently he popped up as Zeitgeist in 2018's Deadpool 2 and starred in another King adaptation, Castle Rock, on Hulu.
So, while you might feel your heart leap into your throat when you first lay eyes on Pennywise - who's gritty, scarred, and giving new meaning to the phrase "ten-head" - just know that there's a pretty sexy, normal Swedish guy underneath all those prosthetics.

6-Year-Old Boy Uses Money He Saved For Disney to Help Hurricane Evacuees - This Is Incredible
When a child hears they're going to Disney, they likely spend all year dreaming and planning for it. So when 6-year-old Jermaine Bell saved up money in order to celebrate his 7th birthday at Disney World, he probably didn't plan on giving all the money away and forgoing the trip entirely. But that's exactly what he did. After learning about Hurricane Dorian evacuees in South Carolina, the thoughtful young boy put his Disney fund toward a different cause: he took his savings and bought food so that people escaping danger could have something to eat.
"The people that are traveling to go to places, I wanted them to have some food to eat, so they can enjoy the ride to the place that they're going to stay at," Jermaine Bell told WBJF news. He stood on the highway and passed out hot dogs, chips, and water to evacuees. "I wanted to be generous and live to give," Bell said.
This generous act of love and compassion is so lovely to see, and it's incredible to come from someone so young.

Hayley Kiyoko Reveals Mental Health Struggles In Powerful New Ad: "We Need to Talk About It"
A simple "How are you?" could spark a conversation about mental health that could, in turn, greatly help someone who's struggling. In January 2018, the Ad Council teamed up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and the Jed Foundation (JED) to create "Seize the Awkward," a campaign geared toward empowering teens and young adults to break that seemingly awkward, uncomfortable silence and actually talk about what they're going through.
This past spring, "Seize the Awkward" launched a video with Billie Eilish where she spoke about instances where people stepped in and helped her in times of need. Now, for Suicide Prevention Month, a series of new videos have launched with singers Hayley Kiyoko and Christina Perri, rapper Aminé, and violinist Lindsey Stirling. These musicians each share a message on how reaching out has helped them personally or has aided loved ones in their lives.
The videos all have a common theme of self care, care for others, and the importance of fostering supportive relationships. An Ad Council spokesperson told POPSUGAR that the organization picked these musicians specifically due to their huge young adult fan bases. "We're hoping to reach the friends of young adults ages 16 to 24 who are struggling with mental health issues because we know young adulthood is a critical time when many people experience great stress from multiple life changes like leaving high school and moving from home to begin college or to start working. It's also a time when mental health issues frequently emerge."
That's true. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people between 10 and 24, according to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It can be hard to ask for help, so it's crucial that people look out for warning signs. These signs may include the following: a person not acting like they normally do, loss of interest in the things they used to enjoy, talking about feelings of hopelessness, being more reckless, or isolating themselves from family and friends.
According to the AFSP, there is no single cause to suicide, but it most often occurs when someone suffering from a mental health condition experiences stressors that they can't cope with. If you or someone you know is struggling, visit "Seize the Awkward" for more information. And ahead, check out the newest video installations from this campaign featuring four talented artists who've all gone through their own battles with mental health.

Drake Joined the Cast of Netflix’s Top Boy on the Red Carpet Premiere In London
Netflix's long-awaited revival of British drama, Top Boy, is quickly approaching, and with the world premiere taking place in London on Wednesday night, we're more excited than ever. The cast walked the red carpet and were joined by Drake, who is one of the key reasons the show is returning for the first time since it was canceled in 2013.
The show will pick up where the initial Channel 4 run left off, specifically, the first episode will kick off as Dushane returns from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market. Speaking at the world premiere, which took place where the show is set, in Hackney, London, Drake explained why he was driven to revive the show. He said that he grew attached to Top Boy's original storyline and characters because of the similar scenarios he experienced while growing up in Toronto, Canada. When the show suddenly disappeared from his television, he realized it had been canceled, and decided to take matters into his own hands.
Netflix confirmed the revival back in November 2017, so our return to East London has been a long time coming. The show will premiere on the streaming platform on Sept. 13.
Kate Middleton's School Drop-Off Dress Proves That Summer Isn't Over Just Yet
Kate Middleton arrived at Thomas's Battersea school today, alongside Prince William, to drop off Princess Charlotte for her first day of school, with Prince George also returning for another academic year. Although a new school year unofficially marks the end of the Summer, it looks like the duchess isn't ready to give up her Summer wardrobe just yet.
For the important occasion, Kate wore a floral Michael Kors Carnation Georgette Shirtdress accessorized with a thin black belt and her trusty navy suede heels, which just so happened to match the colors of Charlotte's school bag. Just when we were starting to think about getting our Fall sweaters out, Kate might just have changed our minds about packing away our Summer dresses prematurely.
It's safe to say Kate is no stranger to a breezy Summer dress. She's worn pretty tea dresses all Summer long and we're still thinking about the green Sandro dress she wore to Hampton Court Palace and the 1930s-style printed tea dress and espadrille wedges combo she wore back in June. So take it from Kate, if you're not ready to give up your pretty, flowing prints yet, there's still time.
Ahead, get a closer look at Kate's pretty dress, which, unsurprisingly, is all sold out.

Princess Charlotte Nailed the Perfect Royal Handshake on Her First Day of School
Princess Charlotte attended her first day of school on Thursday, and the little royal did not disappoint. Much like her older brother Prince George, at first Charlotte was a little nervous on her first day, hiding slightly behind mom, Kate Middleton. However, she took it all in her stride, showing off a perfect (and adorable) handshake when greeting Helen Haslem, Head of Lower School at Thomas's Battersea. She even playfully flicked her hair while walking into the school with her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, and her big brother, who's now an old pro when it comes to that once-scary walk up to the school gates.
Charlotte is following in George's footsteps by attending Thomas's, an independent day school a few miles from the family's home at Kensington Palace, London. Like her brother, she will enjoy the school's framework of "Enjoyment, Learning, and Achievement" which focuses less on grades and more on "kindness, courtesy, confidence, humility, and learning to be givers, not takers." She'll have the opportunity to take part in a varied curriculum that includes "Woodland Adventure" sessions, expressive art and design, and, yep, ballet as well as more standard academic subjects. Judging by her enthusiasm as she arrived at school for day one, Charlotte can't wait to get started!

Adam DeVine's Phone Upgrade Becomes a Smart House-Esque Nightmare in the Jexi Trailer
Remember when 2013's Her made fans believe that an artificially intelligent virtual assistant and an introverted soul could fall in love? The Adam DeVine-led comedy film Jexi is definitely not like that.
The movie follows Phil (DeVine), a writer at a website with few friends and a serious addiction to his phone. When a new upgrade to the latest model features Jexi (voiced by Rose Byrne), a virtual assistant with a penchant for brutal honestly, his dependency takes on a new level. Jexi helps Phil get a life, which includes a real-life girlfriend, but things quickly take a Smart House-esque turn for the worst when Jexi decides she wants Phil all for herself.
You'll never be able to plug your phone into its charger again, but the trailer is still definitely worth a watch! Jexi drops in theaters on Oct. 11.
