Natalie Portman is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the first onscreen female Thor, and on Friday, Ellen DeGeneres offered fans an exclusive, totally legit, very convincing look at her character. The blond hair! The beard! The giant biceps! Portman clearly has a major transformation on her hands. While sitting down with DeGeneres, the 38-year-old joked about having to get fit for the upcoming film. "Yes, I'm very excited. I'm assuming I'll have to work out, but I'm just going to wait . . . I'll be eating my burritos until they call me to the gym," she said.
The news of Portman's casting was announced during San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, when Marvel President Kevin Feige took the stage to discuss the fourth film in the Thor franchise, which will be helmed by Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and is officially called Thor: Love and Thunder. Portman hasn't reprised her role as scientist Jane Foster since Thor: The Dark World - not counting her all-too-brief cameo in Avengers: Endgame, of course - but it seems like she's more than ready to step back into the MCU as the Mighty Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder will arrive in theaters on Nov. 5, 2021, which gives us plenty of time to dwell on what the plot might entail and Portman hopefully enough time to both bulk up on burritos and grow a goatee.

Friendly Reminder: You Can Probably Get a Flu Shot For Free on Your College Campus
You have a lot on your plate as a college student, but don't let that stand in the way of getting your flu shot - because if there's one thing you can't afford, it's spending several days sick in bed this Winter. The good news? Getting a flu shot is quick and easy, and you don't need to scrape together a bunch of cash to pay for it, either.
Many campus health centers offer free flu shots to students either for a limited time or throughout flu season, and you can usually pop in and get the vaccine in mere minutes without an appointment, just as you would at your local pharmacy. Additionally, if you've opted in to your school's student health insurance plan, the flu shot may be covered at no out-of-pocket cost. And even if neither of these options are available to you, the flu shot is likely offered on campus for the same $20 to $40 you'd pay without insurance at a drugstore.
"As healthcare professionals, our mission is to encourage healthy behaviors and preventive measures which will have the greatest impact for our community," Vanessa Tilney, MD, executive director and chief physician at the University of Houston Student Health Center, told POPSUGAR. "Studies have shown that widespread influenza vaccination for college students can reduce doctor visits, antibiotic use, missed classes, academic performance impairment, and illnesses during flu season."
According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, the flu vaccine can reduce the risk of illness by 40 to 60 percent among the general population when it's well-matched with the strains that are circulating that year. Given that college students often live in close quarters and spend a lot of time socializing (both in and out of class), any amount of protection is better than none.
"Influenza can impact student success, and each student is different, so how they respond to flu symptoms will range from mild to severe," Dr. Tilney said. "Any missed days of class, missed assignment due dates, or missed exams may have a negative impact on a student's semester."
How to Prevent Spreading the Flu on Campus
If you do end up catching the flu, how quickly you'll heal depends on the severity of your symptoms. Most people with milder symptoms should feel better within three to four days. In most cases, you can return to class once you're feeling well and have not had a fever for 24 hours (without taking acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or other medicines to control it).
While the flu is often preventable, it can pose significant risks for vulnerable populations, causing disruptions at school and in some cases, fatal complications, Dr. Tilney told POPSUGAR. Take these additional steps to prevent passing the virus to someone else or catching it in the first place:
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and throw tissues in the trash after you use them.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, or apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, as germs can spread this way.

I had just gone through the process of cleaning out my closet and I had a huge pile of clothes to get rid of. Fashion Week was fast approaching, and while I had more space in my wardrobe to fill, I had zero time to shop. As I rummaged through the aforementioned pile, deciding which things to donate and which things had enough value to sell, I got an idea. The wheels were spinning, and oh baby, when Sarah gets an idea, you know she follows through.
Why not challenge myself to wear four different articles of clothing I had already chosen to part with? Maybe I could reinvigorate these clothes with new life if I styled them differently. I felt like the "thinking" emoji with one eyebrow raised, a perplexed frown on his face. Because could I? Would I actually be able to successfully carry out this plan?
So many of my fashion editor friends call in samples from the collections they love ahead of NYFW - that great Tibi jacket they spotted on last season's runway, those asymmetrical jeans that attract the cameras of street style photographers. I wore an old Summer minidress as a top with a maxi skirt (it's somehow too short on me now) and I looked at the supersoft, worn-in graphic tee I had begun to wear as pajamas and told it, "Darling, I'm going to reinvent you!" I wore Grandma Phyllis's vintage silk Oscar de la Renta scarf as a bandana in my hair!
