Peter Weber Had to Get 22 Stitches After a "Freak Accident" Filming The Bachelor
Back in October 2019, The Bachelor's Peter Weber was injured in a "freak accident" while filming the show's current season, and now the incident has played out on the show.
As first reported by Radar Online, the incident occurred in the hotel where Pete and the cast where staying in Costa Rica. Per the article, "He went to step on the [golf] cart but fell and and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying." According to their source, Weber had to be rushed to a hospital two hours away and received 22 stitches. Yikes!
"Peter suffered a freak accident," host Chris Harrison told The Hollywood Reporter at the time, in a statement later echoed on Instagram. "He got a cut on his head, he did get stitches but he's 100 percent OK and production is already back underway. He's still the dashing, handsome pilot we've all dreamed of."
Let's talk about the circumstances. At first blush, one might assume that he was on a golf date with one of the women. Nope! Weber, as the most recent episode of The Bachelor shows him explaining to the ladies, had just arrived at the hotel and hit his head against the top of the golf cart into a glass he was holding, landing in the hospital after the glass cut his forehead. But, as they say, the show must go on, so Peter continued his search for love and was back on a one-on-one date with Sydney Hightower a day after the stitches.

5 Ways to Deal With Seasonal Depression (and Still Thrive) in College
Battling seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in college can be disorienting. This might be the first time you're living on your own, or in a place where dark, dreary winters are even a thing, and as any student knows, the healthiest choices aren't always clear or accessible on campus. But when the so-called "Winter blues" start to morph into something more serious, ignoring the problem can actually impact your academic performance, as well as your health.
Some of the most basic symptoms of SAD include lethargy, depression, an inability to focus, and increased anxiety. Jennifer B. Siddle, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist with Family Psychiatry and Psychology Associates in Cary, NC, explained that seasonal depression may also cause changes in your appetite and sleep - specifically, you're likely to want to do more of both. While talking to a doctor should always be first on your list, these expert strategies can help you better manage seasonal depression from your dorm and on a ramen noodle budget.

From Broadway to the Big Screen: Disney Announces Hamilton Film Dropping October 2021
Broadway fans have been holding out hope that the 11-time Tony Award-, Grammy Award-, Olivier Award-, and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical Hamilton would make its way to the big screen since it premiered in February 2015. Well, Disney finally decided it's not throwing away its shot and is bringing a film version of Lin-Manuel Miranda's history-making musical, with the original Broadway cast, to theaters on Oct. 15, 2021!
"Lin-Manuel Miranda created an unforgettable theater experience and a true cultural phenomenon, and it was for good reason that Hamilton was hailed as an astonishing work of art," Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer of the Walt Disney Company, said in a statement. "All who saw it with the original cast will never forget that singular experience. And we're thrilled to have the opportunity to share this same Broadway experience with millions of people around the world."
The film is described as "a leap forward in the art of 'live capture,'" and combines live theater and film. Hamilton director Thomas Kail - who will serve as producer alongside Disney and Miranda - filmed the stage show at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre before the original cast members began to depart. So, along with Miranda, fans will see Tony winners Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler, and Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, as well as Tony nominees Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Christopher Jackson as George Washington, and Jonathan Groff as King George. Rounding out the principal company are Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Anthony Ramos (who also stars in the upcoming film adaptation of Miranda's In the Heights) as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.
"I'm so proud of what Tommy Kail has been able to capture in this filmed version of Hamilton - a live theatrical experience that feels just as immediate in your local movie theater," Miranda said in a statement, along with a Twitter post announcing the film. "We're excited to partner with Disney to bring the original Broadway company of Hamilton to the largest audience possible."
We can't wait to be in the screening room where this premiere finally happens!
I Can't Stop Watching This Mesmerizing Video of Simone Biles's Vault Practice
2020 👀👀👀 ? pic.twitter.com/3QDjSOPYbH
- Simone Biles (@Simone_Biles) February 3, 2020
It was a typical Monday consisting of physical therapy and work - nothing too special or out of the ordinary - until I went on Twitter and saw a video of Simone Biles doing her thing, per usual. The first time I watched this video of Simone's vault, I thought, "Wow, she's incredible." Then I watched it again and instantly knew that this had to be extremely difficult, because it's Simone - and she has a way of making difficult exercises look effortless.
I consulted our in-house gymnastics expert Sam Brodsky, who told me that Simone performed a Yurchenko double pike, a move that is typically done by men and more difficult than the vault she got named after her in 2018! If this is any indication of what to expect from Simone this upcoming season, we're bound to witness history in the making.
Be sure to check out Simone in action in the video above!

As Hasbro's official description reads, "Throughout the game, secrets will be revealed and players will have to make humorous (but difficult) choices about other players to collect personality tokens." Just Friends? Jacob Elordi Gives Zendaya a Kiss During Their Fun-Filled Day in NYC
Zendaya and Jacob Elordi have been at the center of romance rumors ever since they were spotted vacationing in Greece back in August 2019, and even though they've maintained there's nothing romantic going on, their latest outing says otherwise. On Monday, the Euphoria costars enjoyed a fun, casual day out in NYC. The duo were all smiles as they stopped by Strand Bookstore and picked up some green juice along the way. They also snapped some cute selfies during their walk, and at one point, the 22-year-old even planted a quick kiss on Zendaya's head. But their day wasn't over just yet! After switching into their workout gear, Zendaya and Jacob stopped by a gym in Brooklyn.
In December 2019, Jacob broke his silence on the dating rumors, telling GQ Australia that Zendaya is like his "sister." "Zendaya is an amazing creative, you know? She's super dope to work with. She's an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us," Jacob said about his 23-year-old Euphoria costar. "But we're all really close. There is not one weak link in that show. We've spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with."
It's also worth noting that the pair attended the American Australian Association Arts Awards last week, where Zendaya presented Jacob with the rising star award and referred to him as her "best friend." Now regardless of whether they're dating or not, it's clear these two enjoy spending time together.
Who Is on The Masked Singer Season 3? Here's a Handy Guide to the Stars Under the Masks
The Masked Singer season three is in full swing! After the Super Bowl on Sunday, the reality show introduced its first six stars, which were put under "Group A." According to host Nick Cannon, the group has appeared in nine Super Bowls overall. Does that mean we have a lot of singers on the roster or a lot of athletes? It could be both! Some of the judges guessed the Turtle was a former boy band member and the White Tiger appears to be a wrestler or football player. While the Robot was eventually unmasked at the end of the episode, there are still plenty of characters to meet. Keep reading for our best guesses for Group A ahead.

Blue Ivy Took the Super Bowl Field With JAY-Z, and Suddenly I Have a Team to Root For
I'm not saying Blue Ivy Carter invented the Super Bowl, but I'm also not not saying it. Beyoncé and JAY-Z's oldest daughter stole the show as she took the field with her dad before Sunday's game in Miami, and it's difficult to think of anything better than seeing Blue toss a football on the sport's biggest night.
JAY-Z's entertainment agency, ROC Nation, teamed up with the NFL for the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. After snapping some photos of Blue on the turf, the duo joined Beyoncé in the stands to enjoy the night. Many fans still have their fingers crossed for a surprise Queen Bey performance during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira's halftime show, but even if we're not-so-lucky, we'll always have these snaps of Blue owning the field.
185 Upcycling Ideas That Will Blow Your Mind
If you're the kind of person who hates throwing anything away, we are right there with you. 2020 is a year where sustainability should be at the front of mind, which means there's no better time to turn your unwanted items into gorgeous DIY projects. Blue Ivy Went to the Super Bowl With Her Dad JAY-Z and, Yes, Her Outfit Is Amazing
Blue Ivy may be eight years old, but she's already proving that she's just as fashionable as her mom Beyoncé. The youngster attended this year's Super Bowl with dad JAY-Z to watch the San Francisco 49ers play against the Kansas City Chiefs. TBH, I'm not that surprised that Blue's outfit was that amazing because she's already worn so many amazing outfits and has a personal stylist.
For the game, Blue wore a leather jacket paired with a matching miniskirt. She styled a red ruffled top underneath her leather jacket for a pop of color. To complete her look, she wore a pair of studded black combat boots with buckles on the sides. JAY-Z was all smiles with his daughter and even took pictures of Blue jumping on the field. The rapper was also dressed in a casual but cool outfit consisting of a two-tone jacket with a white tee and black joggers. Keep reading to see her adorable outfit ahead.
You've Been Pronouncing Timothée Chalamet's Name Wrong This Whole Time
Timothée Chalamet just keeps getting more and more buzz every year. He's starred in huge movies like 2019's Little Women and Call Me by Your Name, which really got everyone talking about him in 2017. But we have some big news for you - you've probably been pronouncing his name wrong all along.
Timothée was born and raised in America, but his father is from France, which explains his unique name. Despite the accent mark, he pronounces his first name how you would imagine - "Timothy." However, he has said in various interviews that's supposed to be "Tim-o-tay," not Timothy. Sounds like he's fine with you saying it either way, though!
The actor's last name is a tad bit trickier. You may have been thinking it's "Shal-met" or even "Chal-met," but it has way more flair. Thankfully, back in 2014, when he was starring in Showtime's Homeland, Timothée was interviewed by Teen Vogue where he offered up a proper pronunciation of his name. Say it with us everyone, it's "Shal-uh-may." Not too hard, right?
According to houseofnames.com, Chalamet is a noble French surname. The name originates from the Lorraine area of France. As for Timothée, the French variation of the English name means "honoring God."
Timothée's parents appear to have given him the best of both worlds when he was growing up. The young actor was born and raised in New York City, but he speaks French fluently. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Timothée revealed he spent his Summers in France when he was growing up. His experience with one of the romance languages paid off when he decided to learn how to speak Italian for Call Me by Your Name.
Now you can confidently talk about Timothée with everyone while raving about Little Women or complaining about his tiny mustache that he's working on!
Demi Lovato Has the Voice of an Angel (and the Pantsuit of an Angel, Too)
Demi Lovato chose to wear a white Sergio Hudson tuxedo-style jumpsuit to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV in Miami. The first thing we thought? Well, this is in keeping with her all-white theme that she carried out at the Grammy Awards in a Christian Siriano gown. The angelic look was played up with a glossy lip and dewy makeup look. Demi wore a crystal-encrusted Ermanno Scervino bralette that peeked out from under the lapels of her pantsuit. The waist was cinched with a matching belt and Demi wore Tacori diamond rings, drop earrings, and Stuart Weitzman platform shoes. We like how effortless this look is. It's just as effortless as the way she sang - she truly makes a performance look easy, and the outfit completely fit the bill. Scroll down for every angle of this memorable moment for the 27-year-old star, who has dreamed about this opportunity for a long time.
18 Inspiring Netflix Shows Committed to Representing People With Disabilities
According to a report published by the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention in August 2018, one in four adults have a disability. Unfortunately, only 2.1 percent of regular characters on primetime TV in the 2018-2019 season actually had a disability, per a recent report from GLAAD. Disability representation includes characters with both visible and invisible disabilities - such as blindness, deafness, and genetic disorders, as well as those with mental challenges and illnesses - and we are far from having accurate representation in TV.
However, just like with racially diverse characters and LGBTQ+ characters, Netflix continues to push for inclusivity by incorporating characters with disabilities into its shows. Here are just 18 shows that are working to portray what it's like to live your life with a disability.
My Acne-Prone Skin Wouldn't Stop Breaking Out, Until I Found This Life-Changing Serum
If it's 12 p.m. and I haven't oil blotted my face at least once, I'm having a good day. For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with oily skin and hormonal acne. I spent years searching for the best products to combat these issues, but I could never settle on the "perfect" moisturizer. A few years ago, I read rave reviews about this Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel ($52) and decided to give it a try.
Initially, I was nervous to try a new product, hoping it wouldn't make my sensitive skin break out, but I made sure to do my research before making the purchase. I looked on Sephora for reviews because it's a great way to get unbiased opinions on what others are experiencing. I noticed a lot of people were saying the gel texture was almost water-like, and that's what sold me. Throughout the years of my turbulent skin problems and constantly testing new skincare products, I realized my face did not respond well to thick, heavy creams. Instead, my skin loves soaking up lightweight consistencies that deeply nourish it.
After my first use, I knew my skin loved it. It instantly soaked in the serum without feeling too thick or greasy. My skin simply felt hydrated, light, and fresh. Plus, although my skin is oily, I also get dry patches, and those were instantly relieved. I use it both in the morning and at night, and for the last few years, I've suffered far fewer breakouts than ever before. I'm not sure I could ever live without it now.
So if you have similar skin, what are you waiting for? Keep scrolling to shop it and other mini versions; you won't regret it.
Yolanda Adams Gave a Truly Heavenly Performance of "America the Beautiful" at the Super Bowl
Yolanda Adams blessed all of Miami with an ethereal performance of "America the Beautiful" during the 2020 Super Bowl on Feb. 2. The gospel singer donned an angelic black-and-white suit while leading the Children's Chorus of Miami in their performance of the traditional football song. Adams and the chorus were followed by Demi Lovato, who performed the national anthem at the big game.
The 58-year-old Grammy-winner's stadium performance comes a day after she performed with various gospel singers during the 21st annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. Keep scrolling to watch Adams and the Children's Chorus of Miami lift the spirits of viewers everywhere with their beautiful performance at Super Bowl 54!
Demi Lovato Just Conquered the Demanding Gig of Super Bowl National Anthem Performer
Demi Lovato has taken on one of the most vocally demanding gigs in the business. A week after performing her new single, "Anyone," at the Grammy Awards, the 27-year-old singer nailed the national anthem at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami on Feb. 2. Lovato follows Gladys Knight, who sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" last year, while Chloe and Halle Bailey delivered an ethereal performance of "America the Beautiful."
The Super Bowl wasn't Lovato's first time performing the national anthem: she previously performed it during the 2015 World Series, and again at the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor boxing match in 2017. It did, however, mark a significant moment for Lovato, who has made an inspiring comeback since her hospitalization from an apparent overdose in 2018.
The big game certainly isn't lacking in stars, with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performing the coveted halftime show. Perhaps Lovato will join them on stage? Hey, crazier things have happened. (Lest we forget last year's SpongeBob SquarePants moment.) Check out Lovato's performance ahead, plus her Super Bowl announcement, and then enjoy her national anthem performance from 2015.
Whether You Lead With Your Head or Your Heart Says a Lot About Your Personality
When it comes to making big decisions, you probably lean more toward thinking with your head or your heart, as it's typically ingrained in your character. There's not one right way to respond to a situation, but sometimes certain circumstances might benefit you better when you think in a particular way, even if you just don't quite know it yet. The best way to manage your thought process is to find a healthy balance where you can make decisions using both and realize which method might serve you best. Here are some tips for understanding whether you're prone to leading with your heart or focusing more on what you're head is saying, and how to navigate these situations when you're looking for the perfect answer that most resonates with what you really need.
You're Leading With Your Head
"Leading with your head is cognitive process that involves self-awareness and typically weighing the pros and cons of a situation. It's typically not a quick or impulsive decision, but something people feel like they have a good reason to do or that will produce a beneficial outcome," Dr. Holly Richmond, PhD, a somatic psychologist, licensed marriage and family therapist, and sex therapist, told POPSUGAR.
"It may involve consequential thinking, which means you play out the outcome in your head if you were to engage in certain actions. It also may involve planning out steps to take to achieve your goal," said Kimberly Hershenson, LMSW.
"An example of leading with your head is: someone asks you to go on a spur-of-the-moment trip for the weekend that sounds amazing and you want to go, but then you think about the things you need to do and how tired you might be heading back to work Monday morning, and you decide it's not a good idea," Richmond said. In general, situations that provoke leading with your head tend to have some explicit risk involved, meaning if you choose to do the thing your head is telling you not to, there could be a negative impact, she said.
You're Leading With Your Heart
Leading with your heart is the opposite of cognitive thinking - it's a somatic, body-based process. "Leading with your heart is a gut reaction, where you might find yourself saying something like, 'This just feels like the right thing to do.' Instead of thinking about a decision, you feel about it. There is a felt sense of what you need and what you want," Richmond said. "This often feels chancy - like, '[Damn], I hope this works out!' but not doing it would be soul crushing and leave you with regrets," she said. "Often people have a gut instinct which goes against what logical thinking will tell them," which can freak them out, added Hershenson.
"I see people struggle most with leading with their heart when it comes to relationships. There are no guarantees in any relationships, especially new relationships where the foundation of trust isn't established yet, so there's always a risk of getting deeply hurt if you lead with your heart," she said. When people lead with their heart, it may feel like a bigger risk than if they lead with their head (an emotional risk vs. a negative practical outcome), but there's also the potential for bigger reward, she said.
How to Know Which to Use
If you know you are a fairly impulsive person and can look back at several not-so-great decisions you made, it's worth taking time with the next choice that feels like a tug-of-war between what you want to do and what you know you should do. "Take a deep breath and pause for one minute to consider the pros and cons. Play out the best-case scenario and the worst-case scenario and use your head to discern which direction you believe the situation will go," said Richmond.
Similarly, if you are a cautious person and a worrier, leading with your heart and trusting your gut also requires you to be present and take a moment to cultivate that felt sense of what it is you want. "I don't recommend that people weigh the pros and cons when they are already critical thinkers (they do that naturally), but instead that they pay attention to what their body is feeling and where. That could sound like, 'I feel excited. My heart is pounding in my chest.' Finding the balance between the excitement of taking a risk with the presence of mind and body to truly assess all possibilities is a great goal to shoot for," she said.
Training yourself to tune into your heart and turn off your head is a matter of practice in mindfulness and self-awareness. "It's taking the time to check in with yourself to notice if the decision sits well with you. A quick way to assess that is by asking, 'Am I second-guessing myself?' If so, take a deep breath, go for a walk, or sit quietly and visualize the decision in pictures rather than thinking about it in words," said Richmond.
Also, notice if you feel happy, hopeful, scared, or anxious when you think about one outcome over the other. The body holds so many answers, and by tuning in, we have the potential to be in a place that feels authentic, self-aware, and self-assured, she said.
Any Clues Based on the Situation?
This could be helpful with regard to big-life scenarios. "Big life examples - a new job for sure. Where finances are involved (which has an enormous impact on your quality of life), leading with your head can be a safer bet. That's not to say never take a risk to pursue your passion, but just be sure you have an accurate perception of what's involved and are prepared if things don't go exactly as planned," said Richmond.
On the other hand, relationships are tough. "I almost always encourage my clients to lead with their heart. A relationship that is based on a business decision, as in, 'He looks great on paper,' almost never end well. Your heart has to be in it. There needs to be longing, passion, love, lust . . . all of the complex emotions we experience when we're choosing a partner to spend our lives with," she said.
A takeaway: "In matters of business and finances, leading with your head can be the safer bet, but in matters of relationships and love, I think leading with the heart pays off in the long run," said Richmond.

Black Widow: Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh Kick Ass in New Super Bowl Trailer
The fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally upon us, team. On Feb. 2, Marvel dropped a special Super Bowl trailer for Black Widow - a follow-up to the trailers released in January - and, damn, it looks so freaking good.
The first teaser trailer begins with a montage of Black Widow's most memorable moments. That means the first 20 seconds of the trailer is largely a mash-up of footage from previous Marvel films, with Scarlett Johansson's character, Natasha Romanoff, giving a solemn monologue over the top. "I used to have nothing. And then I got this job, this family, but nothing lasts forever," she says, referring to her fellow Avengers.
The pinnacle of the other trailers are a fight scene with Florence Pugh, who is playing Yelena Belova, and when David Harbour's character, Alexei, turns up. There are a few under-the-radar details that MCU Twitter was quick to notice, comment on, and fall madly in love with - like the fact Yelena Belova is wearing the green vest that Natasha wore in Infinity War and also Alexei's line, "Family. Back together again." In the new Super Bowl trailer, there's more epic fight scenes and Natasha teaming up with her family before the Avengers, working with her "sister" and kicking serious ass in the process. We even get a glimpse inside the widow assassin school (the "new world of widows," as Natasha calls it) and see a pyrotechnic-rich gunfight between Natasha and a masked enemy.
Watch all the trailers for Black Widow ahead and get ready for the worldwide premiere on May 1, 2020. We. can't. wait.
