Hostess Is Releasing a Line of Iced Lattes That Taste Like Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and More

Iced coffee season is nearly upon us, and Hostess's new line of dessert-themed lattes is making me crave both caffeine and cake. Inspired by the snacks I used to beg my parents to buy me on trips to the grocery store as a child, the ready-to-drink flavored iced lattes come in Twinkie, Ding Dong, Honey Bun, and Sno Ball flavors. Do I expect these drinks to be cloyingly sweet and taste super artificial? Yes. Am I still going to be hitting up the chilled drinks section at my local grocery store ASAP? Also yes.

The Twinkie Iced Latte combines the taste of the classic yellow sponge cake with notes of cream, while the Honey Bun Iced Latte combines the sweetness of honey with hints of glazed icing. For my fellow chocolate-lovers, the Ding Dongs Iced Latte is a mixture of rich chocolate flavoring and vanilla, while the Sno Balls Iced Latte is a take on chocolate cake and coconut. Currently available for $2 per 13.7-ounce bottle at select stores in the Northeast, the drinks are expected to hit stores nationwide soon. In the meantime, keep scrolling to take a closer look at the new line of lattes ahead.

21 Photos of a Golden Retriever and Bunny Duo That Will Make You Need Them as Friends

Ever since my husband and I rescued our Golden Retriever, we routinely ask ourselves what we did before getting her. What exactly did we fill our time with? How could anything have possibly been - or be - better than having a Golden flop around our house, producing more hairballs than I thought possible? I think I have an answer.

The answer is a sweet Golden and a bunny, as proven by the Instagram account Bear + Hugs. Since discovering it early this morning, I've had 15 tabs open with their pictures, because I can't get myself to stop staring at the two of them together. Hugs and Bear are an inseparable fluff duo, and seem delicate with one another, too. Each time Bear grooms his bunny friend Hugs, I squeal with delight. I may not have room in my house to own a bunny, but I can dream of meeting these two one day, right?

How the Sweet Tradition of Soccer Teams Being Escorted Onto the Field by Kids Got Started

If you've ever watched the pregame ceremonies of a soccer match, you've probably noticed a sweet detail: the players always walk onto the field holding the hands of kids, who are dressed like an adorable little squad themselves. It's a long-standing tradition that's rarely explained during international tournaments - so if you're curious about the history, you've come to the right place.

The children who walk out with the players are called "player escorts" or "mascot children," and they've been part of soccer games for well over 20 years now. One of the earliest photos of children walking as mascots was published in the Liverpool Echo after a November 1996 match between Liverpool and Everton. Beginning around 2000, the practice as it is today began: one escort for each player, rather than just one or two per team.

Early on, the practice of having children escort the players doubled as a way to raise awareness for charity causes. Ahead of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, FIFA and UNICEF partnered on a program called Say Yes For Children, which aimed "to promote and protect the right of all children to healthy recreation and quality primary education," according to a UNICEF press release at the time. The statement continued: "Children are being given a prime role at each match, accompanying each player on to the pitch in a symbolic action reminding football enthusiasts that they have a major role to play in building a world fit for children."

Since 2002, McDonald's has been the official sponsor of the mascot program at the World Cup and European Championships, offering parents and children a chance to enter to win one of those coveted spots. In other cases, however, being a mascot might be as simple as paying the price tag. A 2018 investigation by The Guardian revealed that a large number of Premier League teams often charge between £150 and £600 for kids to be escorts at a match. The "mascot packages" often include more than just a place as a mascot - kids are also given gear, autographs, or other swag - but the practice has drawn criticism for excluding kids from less affluent backgrounds.

At its best, however, this cute tradition allows young fans to have a special moment with their favorite players and reminds audiences that there's more to soccer (or any sport) than the outcome of the game.

At 36, I Had a Hysterectomy to End My Painful, Heavy Periods, and It Changed My Life

Getting your period isn't pleasant for anyone, but for most people, it's at least tolerable. My periods were fairly normal for much of my life as well. I had cramps and bled heavily, but it was only a few days a month, and I could handle it.

But as I got older, I noticed that I seemed to be in more pain than my friends. While they could still function during their periods, my cramps were so severe that I began missing class because I couldn't move or keep food down. I started to bleed so heavily that I couldn't make it through even an hour without needing to change my tampon or pad. Embarrassingly, I even bled through my clothes most months, ruining more than one pair of pants and even a friend's couch. I was also severely anemic from the bleeding, which left me exhausted. While the physical symptoms were challenging, my hormones were out of balance as well. I experienced severe mood swings and suicidal thoughts during PMS. I was on antidepressants and tried herbal remedies, acupuncture, and a number of other methods to try and lessen the severity of my symptoms, but nothing seemed to help.

My gynecologist was sympathetic, and offered me a number of treatment options. I tried hormonal birth control at first, which seemed to help temporarily. Later, I had an IUD put in because my doctor thought that it would help eliminate some of the heavy bleeding. It didn't. In fact, my periods seemed to only get worse and more frequent. Because I'm a teacher, this was exceptionally difficult: I can't use the restroom at will, and even on my worst days, I have to be able to function and teach. By the time I turned 30, I was having a period once every 18 days, which would last 10 days or longer. I was constantly anxious about when my next period would start, and how I would manage it. I couldn't seem to get into an exercise routine or any semblance of normalcy. I cancelled plans with friends frequently because I was either too tired or in too much pain to be off of the couch and away from my heating pad.

Thankfully, I'd had the same gynecologist throughout my adult life. He knew my history and agreed to further testing to try to understand what was going on in my body. Ultrasounds revealed that I had multiple uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous tumors that grow on the uterus. They can cause severe pain, heavy bleeding, prolonged periods, and more. I was relieved to finally have some answers.

While there are a number of surgical and nonsurgical options for removal, I pushed my doctor to allow me to have a hysterectomy. While I'm only 36, I knew that I didn't want to have children, and my quality of life was deeply affected by my fibroids. After seeing how many fibroids there were, and after years of documenting my symptoms, my doctor agreed that for me, a hysterectomy was best.

I don't think I truly realized how much these periods and struggles affected me until they were gone.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy: a long way of saying that my uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes were removed. Because I'm young, my doctor opted to leave my ovaries so that my body could make hormones and regulate itself without hormone therapy. I still ovulate each month, but because the egg has nowhere to attach, my body just absorbs it. The surgery itself was nerve-wracking (as any surgery would be) but minimally invasive, and my recovery was swift.

And yet, this surgery changed my entire life. I no longer spend my months dreading the time when my period will come and disrupt my life. Not being in agonizing pain means that I can keep up with a regular exercise routine, show up for plans, and not worry about ruining my outfits by bleeding through them. I'm no longer anemic and exhausted, and even my anxiety and depression have been more manageable. I don't think I truly realized how much these periods and struggles affected me until they were gone.

Unfortunately, I feel like my story is quite unique. So many women I know go in search of answers and solutions and are told time and again that the pain isn't a big deal, or that it's "normal" to have a painful, heavy period. I feel so fortunate that I had a gynecologist who listened to me, access to health care, and a job where I can take time off. That's what I'd wish for anyone in my shoes, whether surgery is the right option or not.

Schitt's Creek Is Releasing a Documentary Special, and This Teaser Already Has Me Emotional

The Schitt's Creek series finale is creeping up on us like David and Alexis on Moira's collection of wigs, and the last time I felt this emotionally encumbered about a show ending, I didn't leave my room for two days. Ahead of the show's ending, the show released a heartbreaking teaser for an upcoming documentary special titled Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt's Creek Farewell. The hourlong special will go behind the scenes of the comedy series, giving fans a glimpse at never-before-seen footage of wardrobe fittings, the cast's emotional final table read, audition tapes, and more. The special will also feature interviews with fan favorites including Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dan Levy, and Annie Murphy.

"It's really hard to tell the story of a love story that in the end is still a love story," Dan Levy said in a behind-the-scenes interview during the filming of Ted and Alexis's emotional heart-to-heart. "It didn't end because they stopped loving each other. It ended because circumstance stood in their way, and that circumstance was their own growth, and that's a wonderful thing."

The special is set to air on PopTV on April 7 following the series finale. Watch the full teaser video here and have a tissue on hand, just in case.

Need to Smile? Watch Magnus the Therapy Dog, Official Best Boy, "Help" His Human Work Out

Let's just establish that there are few things more pure than a dog working out with their human. Case in point: Magnus the Therapy Dog loyally assisting his owner in a solid full-body workout. One 30-second video and we're falling head over heels.

Just watch the clip and look at this good boy: holding knees for situps, giving high fives in between pushups, and hitting downward-facing dog poses like a natural. Magnus's owner, Brian Benson, works out seven days a week with his certified therapy dog by his side, so Magnus gets lots of practice. "Since I bring him to work with me, we are together almost every hour of every day and [are] virtually inseparable," Benson told POPSUGAR. They've been together since Magnus was just one and a half. (He's now almost four!)

The best part about working out with Magnus? "When I lay on the floor to do abs, he will walk or crawl over to me and lie tight by my side," Benson said. Sometimes Magnus will lay his face or whole body on top of Benson, "which makes it hard to do abs!" he said. (We're melting.)

Watch Magnus's full workout above, and if you can't get enough of him, this social media-savvy pup is also active on Facebook and TikTok. And if you just want more adorable dogs working out with their loving humans, check out Ella the yoga-loving golden retriever and Gus the English bulldog, official mascot of his owners' gym.

Natti Natasha Tells Fans Concerned For Her Health She Has Laryngitis

I'm not going to lie, I did get a little worried about Natti Natasha. For the past few days, she has been posting clips and photos at the doctor's office, getting a shot, and nebulizing.

Today, she was sure to update us with the latest news: she has laryngitis. Natti posted a doctor's note from Dr. Laureano Giráldez Rodríguez at The Voice and Swallowing Center of Puerto Rico to make things extra official. The note read: Patient Natalia Gutiérrez has laryngitis. She should have full voice rest for the next seven days without singing or voice use."

Along with the photo of her doctor's note, Natti wrote in Spanish: "Good afternoon to everyone who's been worried about me and my health. I'm in vocal rest for 7 days, due to laryngitis." She also made sure to address fans who were concerned she might be suffering from Coronavirus, deleting comments suggesting she might be personally impacted by the illness. "Thank God I'm fine."

Natti has been working nonstop from photoshoots, to concerts, to award shows, dropping new singles, and continuing to prove she's one of the top Latin artists of the moment. Unfortunately, not taking enough time to rest took a toll on Natti's health. While she won't be able to serenade us for a bit, her recovery looks to be in the best hands.

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas Seemingly Confirm Their Romance With PDA in Costa Rica

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas appear to be floating on cloud nine! After much speculation, the Deep Water costars seemingly confirmed romance rumors during their romantic getaway in Costa Rica. On March 10, the 47-year-old actor and 31-year-old Cuban star looked smitten while taking a walk on the beach. In addition to snuggling up to one another, Ben took a page out of Leonardo DiCaprio's book and played Instagram boyfriend as he snapped photos of Ana by the water.

Ben and Ana recently wrapped filming for their upcoming erotic thriller Deep Water, which is based on the novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith and hits theaters on Nov. 13. The pair plays husband and wife in the movie, so perhaps that's when the sparks first flew between them. They were also just spotted together in Cuba. Neither Ben nor Ana have publicly confirmed the status of their relationship, but according to People, "they are definitely dating." See more of Ben and Ana's beach day ahead.
