Camila Cabello Opens Up About Meditation For Anxiety: "It’s Making Me a Better Human"
Sometimes a deep breath can do a lot more for your mental health than you might expect. In an Instagram post on Monday, Camila Cabello opened up about her personal struggles with anxiety and stress, citing mediation as a point of relief that better helps her to be at one with herself and the world around her. "Meditation has changed my life in the last few months," Cabello wrote. "I didn't share this with you guys at the time because honestly I was just trying to be okay, but I was experiencing severe anxiety. It was meditation - it was practicing every single day multiple times a day that has been healing me, and, more than just helping me manage strong emotions like anxiety and stress, it's making me a better human."
"May you be healthy. May you be safe. May you be free from illness. May you be well."
Cabello went on to point out the benefits of meditation, including that it makes her feel closer to nature and more in tune with her own emotions and those of people around her. "Not only does it help in times like this with stress and anxiety, meditation is the practice of strengthening habits like empathy, love, and compassion - making you feel more connected to not only everybody around you, but living beings in general like animals, plants, and the earth, which is a living being, itself."
Given the coronavirus outbreak, Cabello urged those suffering more stress and anxiety than usual to take into consideration their own well-being and that of those around them, particularly those highly susceptible to the virus. "In times like these, especially as young people, even if we are healthy, it's important to practice compassion and help others that could be suffering. We are in this together, let's not be indifferent to others [sic] risk. It's our responsibility to do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. Empathy to others' reality and solidarity could make the difference in hard moments like this. We can't think that we will be unaffected because we feel young and healthy. We have parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors, and we don't want to be a part of the problem when we could be part of the solution."
Cabello suggested her followers take the time to mediate by sitting up straight and feeling "gravity grounding your body to the earth's surface and supporting you." Next, she recommended taking three deep breaths and keeping track of each inhale and exhale until your mind has stilled. "Once your mind has stilled. Picture every human in the world right now, elders, people that have respiratory problems and are vulnerable, picture the people that are vulnerable, picture their families, and say 'May you be healthy. May you be safe. May you be free from illness. May you be well.' Repeat until you really feel it in your heart - love you guys, please stay safe!"

Listening to Sofia Carson and Dove Cameron Talk About Their Friendship Is So Pure
If you've seen Disney's Descendants trilogy, then you know that Mal and Evie (otherwise known as the daughter of Maleficent and the daughter of Evil Queen, respectively) are totally wicked bestie goals. What you may not know, however, is that actresses Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson have just as close of a bond when the cameras aren't rolling. The two Disney darlings majorly bonded during their six years of filming the trilogy, and unexpectedly losing their cast mate and close friend, Cameron Boyce, in July 2019 has only seemed to bring them closer together. Check out the gallery for the star's sweetest quotes about each other over the years.
Sebastian Yatra Posted a Video Singing a Shawn Mendes Song, And Now I Feel Incredibly Relaxed

Sebastian Yatra is a little blessing we didn't know we had. Don't get me wrong, ever since he came into the music scene, he's been making waves and his efforts have been duly noted, but it wasn't until this past weekend when I came across a new video he had posted on Instagram singing Shawn Mendes' song "Never Be Alone" that I found myself extremely soothed by his voice.
I obviously knew he could sing, but maybe it was the fact that this was such a spontaneous performance in his backyard - no production, no crew, just him and his guitar - that changed my perspective. It felt so intimate, like he was singing to me and only me. It was captivating, and for that minute and a half, I felt like everything was going to be ok.
"I promise that one day I'll be around / I'll keep you safe / I'll keep you sound," Yatra sang, as he continued to hypnotize me with his voice. "Right now it's pretty crazy / And I don't know how to stop / Or slow it down," he continued.
It was definitely a sound of relief during these times, and a way for Yatra to encourage his followers to stay home and follow protocol to avoid spreading COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus. He's joined several other Latin artists who are doing the same and promoting it on social media with the hashtag #YoMeQuedoEnCasa (I'm staying home).
Yatra had said in a previous video that while he thankfully feels great, he was going to self-isolate at home with his family to take precautions. He said he would take the time to "make music and get some rest." While he's doing that, he's also staying connected with his fans by sharing videos that prove to be very relaxing and peaceful.
After the success of his cover of "Never Be Alone," which had over 1.2 million views in only two days, Yatra posted a stripped-down version (literally) of his song "No Hay Nadie Mas," which had fans thanking him in the comments for making them feel good.

This Couple Found a Way to Celebrate Their 67th Anniversary While Separated Over Coronavirus Concerns
Bob and Nancy Shellard celebrated their 67th anniversary in an unconventional way on Saturday. Nancy lives in a nursing home, and although the couple usually spend the special day together, they were separated by coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. But Bob didn't let this social distancing keep him from showing love for his wife. He brought a homemade sign to her nursing home and stood outside a window, to brighten her day from afar.
"I've loved you 67 years and still do," the sign read. "Happy Anniversary." She waved and blew him kisses from the window, surrounded by nursing home workers. "It makes me feel bad because I want her down with me and I know she can't be," Bob told NBC. Before the ban, Bob would visit his wife at the home every day. "I wouldn't want anybody else. I don't think she could put up with anybody else besides me," he continued.
For their kids, Bob and Nancy's dedicated love has made an impression. "It's just been an example for us, for all of us kids. So all four of us have really learned a lot from them, and I can only hope that I have half as much as what they have shared over the years," their daughter Laura said. Watch the full video above to see the sweetness for yourself - it's a much-needed bright spot.

Why Alex Karev's Goodbye on Grey's Anatomy Felt Emotionally Manipulative
I've devoted countless hours of my life to watching Grey's Anatomy because I love the tears and the drama between all of the natural disasters, health scares, and surprise babies. In a way, I watch the show to be emotionally manipulated - great television moves people, right? Yet Alex Karev's inevitable write-off in "Leave a Light On" felt, well, deliberately emotionally manipulative. While I don't envy the writers navigating Justin Chambers's midseason exit, I couldn't help but feel betrayed by this goodbye after 16 years of investing in his character development.
So here's how Grey's said farewell to one of its core characters: Alex reaches out to Izzie Stevens during Meredith's hearing and receives big news. He then ghosts Seattle to move to a farm on Kansas, where Izzie had his twin children from the embryos that they froze together during her cancer treatment. (Truly wild, I have to give the writers that.) He pens letters to Meredith, Bailey, Richard, and, of course, Jo, explaining why he needed to leave.
Ultimately, the goodbye feels overly neat, simulating emotional closure without providing any real comfort at all.
For a while, I had to sit on why this episode irked me (and many others) so much. Ultimately, the goodbye feels overly neat, simulating emotional closure without providing any real comfort at all. Throughout the episode, Alex narrates the letters, but he doesn't sound like an anguished man who's ditching his closest friends whom he's known for nearly two decades. The whole ordeal feels crafted and contrived, as we get warm close-ups of his children throughout the narration. The show plays on past nostalgia as we see a flashback montage to Ingrid Michaelson's "Turn to Stone," his and Izzie's wedding song. We're supposed to feel like Alex made the right decision because Izzie is his true love, probably.
In a narrative sense, Alex's goodbye is understandable. Izzie leaves him with a Dear John letter, then eventually sends him divorce papers. Alex then does the same to poor Jo as he returns to Izzie to provide his children with a family he never had. Bittersweetly, Grey's completes this terrible circle of goodbyes. But as the showrunners aim for this poetic, emotional farewell for Alex, they do his characterization a great disservice. Alex has gone from, in Meredith's words, a "frat boy b*tch" to a stand-up man who takes care of his wife and friends. He's grounded, responsible, and steadfast. And even if he wasn't, he's not inherently the kind of guy who would leave Jo without facing her. He tackles things head-on. Yes, I realize there's his great romance from literally a decade ago and, you know, the kids. Still.
I'm not sure if death would have been the right choice for Alex, given how many people Meredith has already lost. Yet that ending would have offered Alex's character a quiet dignity. Now, even if he technically gets a happily-ever-after, he'll be the guy who deserted his wife. But as I chafe with his goodbye, I do realize there's no clean way for him to leave alive without Jo gone as well. TV turnover is a technical reality in the fantastic machine that is Shondaland. Alex's controversial departure reminds us that Grey's is creeping toward its inevitable end as the original cast leave one by one.
