The Avengers Had a Very Special Reunion During the Kids' Choice Awards: "Love You 3000"

The Avengers assembled via video chat for the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday. During the virtual special, which donated $1 million to No Kid Hungry, onscreen superheroes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner shared a message as they accepted the award for favorite movie. In addition to thanking fans for all of their support over the years, they also offered words of encouragement for everyone social distancing during the coronavirus epedemic. "We're stronger together. We'll get through this," Hemsworth said, before Evans added, "Whatever it takes."

The appearance comes just a day after Evans joined Instagram and participated in the All in Challenge. In a video message, he revealed that he would be offering a virtual hang out with his Avengers: Endgame costars. "We can do a private Q&A, you can ask us anything, we'll spill the beans, then maybe some games," he said. "I would recommend Scattergories." We're glad to see that our favorite superheroes are still doing good offscreen!

Peter and Kelley's Relationship Timeline Is Crazy - Even by Bachelor Standards

Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor just keeps getting wilder, even though it's been over for weeks! Why are we talking about his relationship timeline with Kelley Flanagan? Well, the latest news has Peter weathering the current quarantine situation with an unexpected companion: Kelley, one of the eliminated contestants from his season who he also happened to meet before the show even started.

Their relationship timeline goes back to the fall of 2019 and apparently is continuing right now. After rumors that the two had rekindled their romance from The Bachelor, Peter made things Instagram official with a snap of them kissing. Kelley is the third contestant from his season that Peter has been linked to since filming ended, following his brief engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss and his even briefer rekindling with Madison Prewett. For now, here's a complete timeline of how Peter and Kelley's relationship has unfolded up to this point.

The Likely Guidelines Disney World and Its Hotels Will Have to Follow Once They Reopen

Disney's parks and other large theme parks like Universal Studios have been closed since mid-March, leaving fans to ride park attractions virtually and cook up their favorite Disney treats at home. And while the country as a whole is beginning to think about what life will look like after the first wave of this pandemic eases up, Florida's Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force is also focused on putting a plan in place for reopening the state's theme parks.

Although it's still unclear as to when it will be safe enough for these large parks to open - Orange County mayor Jerry Demings says June seems "more realistic" than May, but nothing is official - the task force's initial guidelines outline what Disney World and other large theme parks might look like upon reopening for both guests and employees. Keep reading to learn more.

Guidelines For Reopening Disney and Other Theme Parks

Within the new guidelines for reopening the country in phases, the first phase will be the earliest possible reopening, while phase two marks the period after a continued decrease in coronavirus cases.

In the first phase of the Disney World reopen (and that of all other large parks), the park will be able to fill to 50 percent capacity (that'll bump up to 75 percent in phase two). Mandates will largely focus on the employees wearing masks at all times, getting their temperature taken before each shift, and staying home if they're feeling ill or are 65 and older. Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be located all over the parks - especially at ticket booths and ride entrances - and railings and surfaces will be wiped down after every use. Guidelines for large parks will also include putting down tape markings for guests to stand six feet apart on each attraction line (the silver lining of this spaced-out practice that will make lines seem all the more long is that you won't have to hear the whining of the kid behind you who just "wants to ride already" - small wins).

Guidelines For Reopening Theme Park Hotels

In phase one, hotels will encourage mobile check-ins if available, limit housekeeping for minimal employee/guest exposure, have contactless room service delivery, and promote social distancing whenever possible. Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be recommended for common spaces, highly used surfaces like elevator buttons and door handles will be cleaned often, and self-parking will be encouraged. Additionally, guest rooms may look a little different as items like glassware, coffee cups, and coffee makers will be removed, and sadly, minibars will not be stocked, so you should definitely bring your own snacks.

Guidelines For Reopening Theme Park Restaurants

Like the parks, restaurants will be able to fill to 50 percent capacity in phase one and 75 percent in phase two. Disposable paper menus will be encouraged, as will takeout and delivery options. For those dining in, tables will be set up at least six feet apart. As with both the parks and hotels, employees will be clad in masks, hand sanitizer will be everywhere, and constant wiping down of surfaces will occur.

Guidelines For Reopening Theme Park Retail Stores

For retail stores, all entry doors are expected to be propped open with hand sanitizer stations at the ready, though door handles and other commonly touched surfaces should be wiped down regularly. Checkout lines will have markers down to ensure shoppers are six feet apart.

All of the above plans, which, as mentioned, are just the initial thoughts of Florida's economic recovery task force in particular, are subject to change and evolve as more information about the virus and the country's reopening plans become available. No matter when Disney parks reopen, expect everything to look quite different than normal - but hopefully, visits will be no less magical.

These Simple Spinach Puffs Inspired By The Emperor's New Groove Are Kronk's Dream Come True

As a kid, there were countless cartoon foods that caught my eye and made me wish I was animated for just a minute, so I could see if they really tasted as good as they looked. The grey stuff from Beauty and the Beast, the cheesy pizza from An Extremely Goofy Movie, those snow cones from Lilo & Stitch, and Kronk's spinach puffs from The Emperor's New Groove. Now, 20 years later, I've decided to make my own version of the classic Disney treat in cup form for my snacking convenience.

Kronk probably made his spinach puffs with several different cheeses, the finest puff pastry, and a little a lot more finesse. But I used what I had in my pantry to make these delicious-looking cartoon appetizers into a treat I could enjoy without transforming into a llama, and I have to say, I'm pretty satisfied. Keep reading to see just how easy it is to whip up a batch of these cheesy spinach bites for yourself and enjoy them next time you decide to have a Disney movie marathon.

Spinach Puff Cups Inspired By The Emperor's New Groove

Chanel Vargas / POPSUGAR Food

Ingredients

  1. For the Dough:
1 box pizza dough mix (pre-made pizza dough)
    2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    6 tablespoons water
  1. For the Spinach Filling:
1/2 cup parmesan (shredded or grated)
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 cup feta cheese
    5 ounces spinach
    2 cloves garlic
    1 egg white

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Make your pizza dough according to the directions on the box. (Skip this step if you're using pre-made pizza dough.)
  3. Add one tablespoon of olive oil to a medium saucepan along with the entire five-ounce package of fresh spinach. Sautée the spinach until it is partially wilted but still bright green in color. Let the spinach cool.
  4. In a medium-sized bowl, add the parmesan, feta crumbles, diced garlic cloves (or garlic granules), and the egg white. Combine with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Let the cheese mixture chill in the refrigerator for five to ten minutes.
  6. While the cheese mixture is cooling, evenly press the pizza dough into greased cupcake molds.
  7. Bake the dough for five minutes.
  8. As the dough bakes, remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and mix in the cooled spinach.
  9. Evenly spoon the cheese and spinach mixture into the partially baked dough cups, adding about two tablespoons of mixture per cup.
  10. Bake for 15 more minutes and enjoy!

5 ASMR Channels You Should Follow If You Need to Decompress

Over the past few years, YouTube has exploded with videos aimed at making viewers feel relaxed, tingly, and even sleepy - a sensation known as autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). Within the ASMR community, there are a variety of video types involving tapping, whispering, and even roleplay - no, not that kind of roleplay - to appeal to all types of viewers. ASMR artists are always taking it to the next level by coming up with creative themes, backdrops, and methods to bring new ASMR triggers to the world.

Tap through this gallery to get a sample of the best ASMR YouTubers out there, so you can find exactly the style that helps you destress and bliss out. Pro tip: in order to get the full effect of any ASMR video, it's highly recommended that you wear headphones. I always wear noise-cancelling headphones so I can block out distractions, but any pair will do.

To All The Grandmas Out There: We're Thinking of You This Mother's Day

For me, Mother's Day this year will look a lot like the days that have lead up to it. I might sleep in a little later, swap a hurried shower for a bath, get crazy with some pancake toppings, but I'll be home with the kids.

Being with my kids for Mother's Day is something I realize my own mom won't be able to do. It's been more than 6 weeks since she's held my 11-month-old or hugged my 4-year-old, a stretch of time that feels especially strange since my parents live less than five minutes away from us.

Since social distancing at home, we've marked the passing of time in milestones: my baby mastering a floppy hand wave, pulling himself up to a standing position, and sprouting two top teeth that are only visible when he flashes the biggest smile; my 3-year-old becoming a 4-year-old, flying his first kite, and braving a big hill on his scooter.

My mom can't be there to catch my 11-month-old when he topples over after growing too confident in his ability to stand or show my 4-year-old how to manipulate a kite string as it catches a breeze, but her physical distance didn't stop her from teaching my baby to wave at the end of each video call or baking my 4-year-old a birthday cake to drop off at our doorstep.

To all the grandmas out there: we're thinking about you this Mother's Day and every day.

The Most Foolproof Way to Make Prime Rib Roast in an Instant Pot - Yes, an Instant Pot!

Planning dinner for groups shouldn't be stressful, but if you're short on time, you're going to want to bookmark this recipe. No table is set without the star dish in the center - a roast! I'm not sure about you, but a perfectly cooked prime rib roast is my favorite thing to have. It's warm and comforting, especially with some roasted potatoes on the side. The best part about this recipe though is it can all be made in an Instant Pot. Instead of taking hours, this garlicky, buttery, herbed roast only takes around an hour to make, and tastes delicious!

I Make Homemade Ramen, and It's Actually a Lot Easier Than You Might Think

I've been hooked on ramen pretty much since the very first time I tried it. While I love going out for a professionally made bowl of it, I've also been experimenting for years with different ways to make the comfort food myself. While it may seem intimidating, I can tell you that it's not nearly as hard as you might think it is.

First, start with the noodles. I recommend cooking the noodles separately from the broth to prevent them from getting gummy. Then, sauté your onions and mushrooms until they're nice and browned. Add garlic and cook for about a minute.

To make your chicken broth, add the chicken base to the hot water and stir to combine. Pour chicken broth into your pot and bring it back up to a simmer. Meanwhile, slice your chicken thin (I like to slice it while it's still frozen - I swear it works!).

To get an especially savory flavor, I combine one tablespoon each of soy sauce, miso paste, and Worcestershire sauce to make my very own "flavor bomb." I add this secret sauce to a lot of my favorite meaty dishes.

Once you add the sliced chicken, your broth should look like this:

The end result is a dish that's packed with flavor and perfect for low-key weeknights. Keep reading for the full recipe and instructions.

1 tablespoon canola or other neutral oil (don't use olive oil)

1 5-oz. package Shitake mushrooms, washed (dice 1 cup and leave the rest for later)
    1 tablespoon of minced garlic
8 cups of chicken broth (I make my own by using Better Than Boullion Roasted Chicken Base and boiling water)
“Flavor bomb” (1 tablespoon each of soy sauce, miso paste, and Worcestershire sauce combined)
    2 tablespoons of mirin
Sliced green onions, cilantro, or chives for garnishing

Directions

For the noodles:

  1. Make noodles according to package directions. Set aside.

For the Broth:

  1. In a large pot sauté diced onions mushroom in oil till browned.
  2. Add garlic, saute until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth, bring to simmer.
  4. Add “flavor bomb” and mirin.
  5. Bring the broth back up to a roiling boil.

Farmworkers are essential - and during this pandemic, they're also at risk. Most of them are undocumented immigrants who are trying to understand how to navigate the coronavirus outbreak while staying safe and providing for their families.

Many of these unsung heroes continuing to work closely to each other in the fields and packing facilities so the rest of us can have food on our table are Latinx/Hispanic, and a lot of them have spent decades in the US and even have American children.

Come May 5, the tables will turn and we'll highlight the incredible bravery and strength of these people, part of our Latinx community, thanks to the Altísimo Live! Pop Culture and Music Festival. This is a live stream benefit inspired by Live Aid and supported by P&G, that will aim to raise $3 million for the Farmworkers Pandemic Relief Fund, created by Justice for Migrant Women and Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP).

Homemade Ramen

Original Recipe by Bethany Good

Notes

Pro tip: slice chicken breasts while they are still frozen.

For leftovers, store noodles and soup separately, that way the noodles don’t soak up all the broth. Ramen broth freezes beautifully.

Ingredients

  1. 2 packages of dry ramen noodles
    2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon canola or other neutral oil (don't use olive oil)
1 small-to-medium onion (slice half and dice the rest)
1 5-oz. package Shitake mushrooms, washed (dice 1 cup and leave the rest for later)

  6. Add mushrooms and thinly sliced onions.
  7. Add sliced chicken and make sure to cook thoroughly.
  8. Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly.

To serve:

  1. Place noodles in a bowl.
  2. Add broth.
  3. Garnish with cilantro, green onions, and chives. Enjoy!
