See Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's Cute Friendship Moment in "WAP" Behind-the-Scenes Video

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion unveiled their sexy "WAP" visuals on Aug. 7, but there's still more collaboration content for us to enjoy. Ever since the music video dropped, the duo and their squad of powerhouse women - including Normani, Rosalía, Kylie Jenner, Mulatto, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose - have been posting fun photos and videos from filming. But after only sharing snippets with fans on social media, on Sept. 9, Cardi dropped the first part of "Inside the WAP," featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot, including her directing the guest stars, her and Megan working with real-life snakes, and an adorable friendship moment between the two.

"I wish the people knew what you were like in real life," Megan said to Cardi in the video above. "You are the nicest f*cking person that I know." "The Press" rapper then explained that it didn't make sense to have anyone else feature on "WAP" except Megan, as she exclaimed, "it's so you!" From the first rehearsals and building the set to the final shoot, the first part of "Inside the WAP" takes us through the epic BTS moments between Cardi, Megan, and their crew.

In a hilarious Instagram clip shared by Cardi a few weeks prior, the rapper hypes up Normani while the "Motivation" singer dances in front of a green screen. "It's the way she ate that for me @normani," Cardi captioned the video. "I can't wait till Normani put her project out.She been working for a long time and I CANT wait till she show ya 😱She gonna wake ya up 🤫🤫🤭."

Cardi had teased an official forthcoming behind-the-scenes reel on Instagram back in early August. "BTS COMIN SOON REAL SOON!" she wrote. "I can't wait for you guys to see.Everybody work hand in hand and so hard.Sharing ideas and creative on group chats. It was soo dope.We wanted to do more stuff but we ain't had enough time😩." Between the fierce latex ensembles and the gorgeous beauty looks, the BTS compilation is as enthralling as the actual music video. Every Room in This DIY Disney-Themed House Is Inspired by a Different Movie

They say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, where fans go to experience the unique worlds of their favorite Disney characters and get a taste of that same magic. That's why Kelsey Hermanson decided to transform her house into her own magical kingdom. Bringing the spark and adventure of the parks into her space, the mom of two decorated each room in her house to portray a different classic movie from the franchise, including a Cinderella-themed master bedroom to a bathroom entirely inspired by Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Known as Kelseymichelle85 on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, the DIY-er replicates the dreamy aesthetic from Disney's attractions and films in her family home.

"I like to create a space to feel like you're in a scene from the movie," Kelsey told POPSUGAR. "I make a lot of my decor myself, but I also like to repurpose thrift store finds into my designs. It might look expensive, but the true story is I did it all on a budget." She's also found vintage pieces and antique furniture on Facebook Marketplace, Amazon, and Disney stores while traveling, as she explained in TikTok videos featuring her home.

Each room is certainly mesmerizing in itself for its gorgeous depiction of the movies, but what's most fascinating are the special details that have resonated with Disney fans, like the Genie faucets in the Aladdin master bathroom and the tiny door in the Alice in Wonderland powder room. Of the 11 rooms she's remodeled so far, Kelsey's favorite is the Cinderella master bedroom, which is the most recent space she's worked on. "I love the colors and overall dreamy aesthetic," she said. "It truly feels like you are sleeping in Cinderella's bedroom."

While Kelsey has been meticulously furnishing and embellishing her house for the past three years, her house is still a work in progress. She told POPSUGAR that when the holidays roll around, she makes some fun upgrades, like decorating the living room in a Coco theme, instead of its usual Lilo & Stitch vibe, as well as adding The Nightmare Before Christmas decor and a pink coral Christmas tree inspired by Ariel's Christmas Under the Sea. "Our house really gets magical at Christmas," she said. The mom is also currently working on the details in her daughters' princess-themed playroom, which she most recently transformed. Ahead, see Kelsey's impressive DIY skills on display in her Disney-themed house.

Using a Folded Towel During Yoga Was the Simplest Solution for My Knee Pain

Ironically, my new favorite yoga prop has been in my possession years before I even owned a yoga mat - or had any idea what Child's Pose was. I'm talking about a simple folded towel or blanket. And even though I've always had one at my disposal, I only recently started adding it into my practice for the sake of my joints.

Every yoga instructor I've ever followed has advised those with sensitive knees in the class to cushion their joints with towels or blankets during certain weight-bearing poses. I actually have that very concern, but I've ignored the tip, thinking it couldn't possibly make my experience any more enjoyable. I'll also admit I never wanted to look weak in front of my peers.

Doing yoga exclusively at home - and really diving into the motivation behind my personal practice - helped me conquer so many of my insecurities. After I reached for that towel and tucked it under my knees during Camel Pose, I finally got to feel that glorious stretch in my lower back and shoulders without painful pressure in my knees. I only wish I took advantage of my instructors' advice sooner - it was only there to help me.

Tess Koenig, a yoga instructor based in New York City, prefers students use props rather than force a posture or deal with pain in a pose, and offers the use of a towel or blanket in positions where the bone may be supported by the ground in weight-bearing positions.

"Towels and blankets offer that support to help you maintain your breath on your knees, as does a mat folded over twice if those props are not available to you," Koenig says.

While there are many poses that could benefit from a folded towel or a blanket as a prop, Koenig specifically mentions Cat/Cow, Modified Push-Up or Chaturanga, and Camel Pose.

"Typically we see Cat/Cow in the beginning of practice, when our bodies are still warming up, which is even more so a reason to use padding instead of forcing your way through discomfort as your body is lubricating for practice," Koenig says.

During Modified Push-Up or Chaturanga, Koenig says you're rolled onto the front of your knee caps during optimal alignment: "that can be a lot to maintain for many repetitions or during vinyasa."

To make Camel Pose more comfortable, Koenig recommends evenly laying out a towel or a blanket and kneeling on it with your knees - hip width-distance apart - before settling into the posture.

Flutter Kicks Count as Cardio Plus an Ab and Leg Workout - Here’s Why

Flutter kicks deserve some long-overdue credit. The exercise isn't just for ab-sculpting, despite its reputation. Yes, your abs are working hard, but so much more is going on that doesn't get talked about enough.

"Flutter kicks are a great way to target the core and leg muscles. By doing them properly, you can work on core stabilization while working your quads and hip flexors for an added twist," Leada Malek, DPT, CSCS, says.

"Maintaining a stable core while moving limbs is called dynamic core stability, and it's especially functional for everyday life! It also directly activates major lower extremity muscles."

Long story short, flutter kicks target your transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, obliques, hip flexors, and glute while stabilizing your lumbar spine, Malek explains.

That's why Malek says flutter kicks can be included in just about any core or leg workout. Her favorite is to incorporate them into a HIIT session for an added cardio boost. That's right, the repetitive kicking motion counts as cardio because it can increase your heart rate.

Just keep in mind that if your lower back is arching off the ground mid-move, chances are you're lifting your legs too high - Malek says it's the most common flutter-kick mistake people make.

"That's why it's so crucial to tuck the tailbone and stabilize the core before lifting the legs. Without this, it's common to feel some popping or snapping in the hip joint or, in some cases, low back pain," she says.

"Additionally, letting the legs bend while fluttering and losing full knee extension can cause a lag effect and some extra strain on the low back."

Without stabilizing the low back and pelvis, lifting the legs can end up pulling the low back into extension, Malek adds.

Yes, that's a lot to think about, but Malek's step-by-step instructions for doing flutter kicks will help simplify things a bit. She suggests trying this move 2-3 times a week as part of a 20-30 minute resistance-training routine. But, listen to your body and do what you're comfortable with - remember to take breaks and modify when needed.

Flutter Kick

  • Lie flat on the ground with your arms extended by your sides.
  • Tuck your tailbone in and brace your core, alternate kicking straight legs a few inches off the ground.
  • Don't let your low back arch off the ground and make sure your legs stay straight.
  • Stop at a hover above the ground and keep fluttering until your set is complete.
  • Maintain relaxed shoulders if you can, and keep breathing through a stable core.
  • If this is uncomfortable, you can modify by placing your hands under your lower back (palms down) for added stability.

Modified Flutter Kick

  • Sit with your legs straight out in front and hands propped behind you with your fingers pointing towards your toes.
  • Recline about 45 degrees with the support of your forearms.
  • From there, keep your legs straight, and lift them off the floor.
  • Alternating flutter kicking while keeping your legs straight - just 2-3 inches off the floor. Do not touch them to the ground.
  • You can increase the intensity by raising your legs six inches off the ground.

18 Modular Sofas That Are Comfy, Stylish, and Fit Just About Anywhere

Last year, when I moved into my new apartment, I ran into one huge issue: my old sofa didn't fit through the front door. Little did I know, there were tons of cool options out there that were so much better than what I had.

12 Face Brackets That Will Make Your Kids' Face Masks More Comfortable

As masks are now a part of kids' daily realities, it's important to find different ways of making the "mask experience" as comfortable as possible for the little ones. After all, that's going to give us the best chance of having them keep the mask on their faces when outside the house. Enter: face mask brackets.

Face mask brackets are easily inserted into any face mask to create distance between the mask and face, allowing for more breathing space. They are great for allergies, regular stuffiness, or to make masks more comfortable, generally. They also make talking easier, which will be super helpful in the eventual in-school setting, and will prevent the dreaded possibility of kids taking off their mask to speak to one another. In high quality silicone that is soft and comfortable for children's skin, these mask brackets will keep your kids' masks on all day without an issue, making everyone's life easier (and safer). Here are our top picks for face mask brackets that will fit into children's masks.

If Your Dog Freaks Out Every Time You Leave the House, Try an Anti-Anxiety Dog Bed

If your dog gets extremely nervous and upset whenever you leave home without them, an anti-anxiety dog bed may be just what the doctor ordered. Anti-anxiety dog beds are designed specifically to help pups manage severe separation anxiety. We spoke with a veterinarian for all the pro-tips on choosing the most soothing doggie bed possible.

Dr. Claudine Sievert, DVM suggested getting a dog bed with raised edges or bolsters to evoke the sensation of a secure environment. "Some anti-anxiety dog beds look like nests or even caves to maximize this experience," she said. Dr. Sievert also emphasized the importance of an "extra-soft and cozy surface to serve like a 'cuddler' for a dog to sink right into it and relax."

An anti-anxiety dog bed works best if there is some sort of sensory reminder that the dog associates with his human, Dr. Sievert explained. For example, beds with a self-warming feature or adding a pillow with the human's scent on it may calm the dog and make them think their human is nearby, and help them to relax.

When it comes to size, Dr. Siervert recommended choosing a bed that is slightly larger than the dog, so they can cozy up in a variety of sleeping positions.

Naomi Osaka Brought 7 Face Coverings Total to the US Open - Each Honors a Black Life Lost

Naomi Osaka won her first 2020 US Open match (sans the crowd) against fellow Japanese tennis player Misaki Doi 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 on the night of Aug. 31. While entering and exiting the court in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Osaka donned a face mask with Breonna Taylor's name printed on the front, paying tribute to the 26-year-old emergency room technician who was brutally shot in her apartment by police offers under a no-knock warrant.

Osaka, 22 and the 2018 US Open champion, said according to CNN, "I'm aware that tennis is watched all over the world, and maybe there is someone that doesn't know Breonna Taylor's story. Maybe they'll Google it or something. For me, [it's] just spreading awareness. I feel like the more people know the story, then the more interesting or interested they'll become in it."

Osaka also noted that she has seven face masks total, bearing the names of Black victims of police brutality. "It's quite sad that seven masks isn't enough for the amount of names," she said in a post-match interview, "so hopefully I'll get to the finals and you can see all of them."

This came after Osaka and other athletes across sports last week postponed their games following the police shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake in Kenosha, WI (whose name we expect to see on one of Osaka's masks). She opted out of a semifinal match in the Western & Southern Open, writing on Twitter, "Before I am a [sic] athlete, I am a Black woman. And as a Black woman I feel as though there are much more important matters at hand that need immediate attention, rather than watching me play tennis." (She then withdrew before the finals due to a hamstring injury.)

Keep reading for a look at Osaka's US Open masks so far and their significance - we'll continue to update this article each time she makes it to another round and she honors a victim of police brutality.

An Ob-Gyn Explains Why the Morning-After Pill Is Only Effective at Certain Times in Your Cycle

When your birth control fails, the morning-after pill is often the most reliable way to prevent an unplanned pregnancy - but that largely depends on where you are in your cycle.

Jill Krapf, MD, a board-certified ob-gyn in Washington, DC, explained that you're most likely to get pregnant in the five days leading up to ovulation or in the 24 hours after an egg is released. "During ovulation, your ovary will release an egg, which is triggered by the 'surge' of the luteinizing hormone (LH)," Dr. Krapf told POPSUGAR. "Once the egg is released, it can be fertilized by sperm - which can live inside a woman's body for up to six days after sex - from intercourse occurring any time during the fertile window."

Related: The 7 Most Common Myths About the Morning-After Pill, According to Ob-Gyns

Though there are two different forms of the morning-after pill, they both have one thing in common: the pills prevent pregnancy by first preventing ovulation. Levonorgestrel pills like Plan B work by blocking the LH surge, which in turn prevents the egg from being released from the ovary. Ulipristal acetate (UPA) pills like Ella, on the other hand, work to delay ovulation even after LH has begun to spike. (Just note that if you typically take prescription birth control pills, you'll need to skip them for five days after taking UPA. "Because of the progestin in the regular birth control pills, it can interfere with the action of the ulipristal acetate during this time period," Dr. Krapf said.)

While UPA might seem like the more effective option of the two, neither are effective if you've already ovulated. "Neither pill will prevent ovulation if taken on the day of the LH surge or later," Dr. Krapf said. Additionally, she stressed that the morning-after pill won't prevent implantation of a fertilized egg (or embryo).

So, if you're unsure of your risks - and what steps you should take next - it's best that you talk to your doctor before popping into a pharmacy to pick up the pill. You don't have to go it alone.

This "Invisible Layers" Haircut Technique Is the Style Secret You've Been Waiting For

Speakeasy bars, off-the-menu food items, a really good haircut - some of the best things in life are nearly imperceptible to the eye. Unlike the first two, however, you needn't knock three times or have an in with the owner to unlock the best-kept secret of the hair-care world. Just ask your stylist for one thing: "invisible layers."

This dry haircutting technique can be done across all hair types and textures, but the intention remains the same: "The term 'invisible layers' refers to removing weight and adding movement into a haircut while creating a finished look with minimal or no layers at all," Omar Antonio, hairstylist and global top artist for Sebastian Professional, told POPSUGAR. That means subtly cutting layers within layers of longer hair for an infinitely more discreet - and therefore, natural-looking - effect.

The result? A low-key style that almost looks like you did nothing at all, only with built-in texture that's 10 times easier to maintain (because, hi, dreams do come true). While Antonio said invisible layers come by way of a myriad of techniques and tools, there's some lingo to learn before your next salon appointment to ensure you get the look you want.

From "pen cutting" to "back cutting," we're breaking down a few buzzwords to bring to your hairstylist, because trust: a haircut this good should not be kept behind closed doors.

Why It's Essential to Wear a Face Mask and What Kind You Should Use to Stay Protected

Over the past few months, face masks have emerged as an effective way to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The CDC began recommending cloth face masks for public use back in April, and since then, they've become a common sight in restaurants, businesses, and gyms. Guidelines are slowly evolving as doctors learn more about the virus, so if you're still confused over when and why you should wear a face mask, keep reading; we'll talk about the right kind to buy, how to make sure your mask fits correctly, and what else you can do to protect yourself and others.

The Difference Between Surgical Masks, N95 Respirators, and Cloth Masks

Let's differentiate between the types of face masks you see most commonly: surgical masks, N95 respirators, and cloth face masks. Surgical masks are thin paper masks that are intended to obstruct the flow of germs and pathogens from the wearer to the people around them (not the other way around). N95 respirators, on the other hand, are thicker, more fitted, and more effective at blocking transmission of viruses and other particles in both directions: from the wearer to others, and from others to the wearer.

N95 respirators are typically intended for healthcare professionals, who are required to undergo training to ensure correct use. Currently, the CDC does not recommend that the general public wear N95 respirators and says that even healthcare providers should only wear them in medical settings.

Cloth face masks, however, are now advised for use in public spaces. The CDC recommends the following for cloth face masks:

  • They should fit snugly on the sides of your face. (Here's a hack for tightening your face mask if it's loose.)
  • They should secure with ties or ear loops.
  • They should have multiple layers of fabric.
  • They should allow you to breathe comfortably, without restriction.
  • You should be able to wash them in a washing machine and drier without damaging the shape.

If you're looking for cloth face masks to buy, here are some good options, plus more information on what kind of cloth face masks are most effective.

When Should I Wear a Face Mask For Coronavirus?

N95 respirators are not recommended for public use. "We need them in the hospitals. We need them for healthcare providers," said Aruna Subramanian, MD, an infectious-disease doctor and clinical medical professor at Stanford. Hoarding these kinds of essential protective tools increases the danger for doctors, nurses, and first responders, who are already at higher risk of infection.

In the US, the CDC is now recommending the use of cloth face masks in public areas. These reusable masks are considered most effective at blocking the transmission of the virus from the wearer to others, although new research is now showing that they may also provide some protection to the wearer. It's essential to wear face masks in public areas, particularly because 40 percent of COVID-19 cases may be asymptomatic, according to a CDC estimation. By wearing a mask, even if you aren't showing symptoms, you lessen your likelihood of passing the coronavirus on to someone else. This is a tangible way you can help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to the World Health Organization, you should also wear a face mask if you're experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus, which include a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, or if you're taking care of someone experiencing symptoms. (Here's more about coronavirus symptoms to look out for.) Most restaurants and businesses are also requiring face mask use.

How Else Should I Protect Myself From the Coronavirus?

The best way to protect yourself is to wear a mask and continue to implement other safety measures. Here's what to do:

  • Stay six feet away from others.
  • Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds each time. Use soap and water. If you don't have access to soap and water, use hand sanitizer that's at least 60 percent alcohol (ethanol or isopropanol).
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a disinfecting spray or wipe. (Here's more on the types of cleaning supplies that fight the coronavirus.)
  • Avoid touching your nose, mouth, and eyes.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • If you decide to use a mask, follow proper usage protocol. Wash your hands before you put on the mask, avoid touching the front of the mask while you wear it, and discard it if it becomes hot or humid or once you're done using it.

What Will Netflix's Away Cover Next? The Cast and Crew Are Ready to Explore More in Season 2

Netflix's Away brings space exploration a little closer to home as viewers follow Emma Green (Hilary Swank) and her international crew - Ram (Ray Panthaki), Lu (Vivian Wu), Misha (Mark Ivanir), and Kwesi (Ato Essandoh) - on a Mars expedition. As they navigate the challenges of their journey, they must also deal with the repercussions on their loved ones back home.

The astronauts eventually reach their goal and step down on red sand, which leaves fans wondering what comes next, and in turn, will there be a second season? Well, the cast and show runner are hopeful. "I just feel like there's so much more to tell about everybody," showrunner Jessica Goldberg told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview. "I feel like we just scratched the surface of the other characters and it would be wonderful to get to go deeper."

"I imagine if we're lucky enough to have a season two, which I hope we are, there's so many stories to tell."

"So much hasn't been explored in the first season, so I would like to explore these characters more and learn about their past, which I think is interesting," Panthaki added. "And the structure of the show allows us to do that, so that's exciting."

A huge appeal of Away is getting to see the crew's connections play out on Earth, as well as in space. They needed to have these emotional investments on their three-year journey, in order to discover their true identities. Goldberg explained that the longer these astronauts are away from their loved ones, the more they become a family to each other, and their "tethers" back home become "more and more tenuous."

"I imagine if we're lucky enough to have a season two, which I hope we are, there's so many stories to tell," Goldberg said. "We really see these characters lose the tropes, lose the stereotypes. We start to see who they really are. And we also start to see them become a family."

"Mars opens up the possibility for so many stories to tell," Goldberg continued. There's still no word on an official renewal from Netflix, but judging by the success of the show so far, we're feeling hopeful.
