Disney World Will Start Charging Overnight Parking Fees For Resort Hotel Guests

If you're planning to stay at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you'll need to factor in a new cost to your bill. Starting with reservations made after March 21, resort guests will now be charged for overnight parking when choosing Disney hotels.

Walt Disney World confirmed the news, saying that "standard overnight self-parking is available to registered guests for a fee that will be applied to their hotel folio upon check-out," noting that the parking fees include tax. The new standard parking costs are as follows:

Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night

There are exceptions to the fees for guests with disabilities, Disney Vacation Club Members, guests at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, guests dining or just visiting the resorts for the day, and Disney cast members.

Guests who choose to pay for regular theme park parking are looking at higher prices:

Preferred parking: Car or motorcycle - $45 per day
Standard parking: Car or motorcycle - $22 per day
Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, limo, camper trailer, RV, bus or tractor trailer - $27 per day

Standard parking for Disney Springs is complimentary. A Disney spokesperson told the Orlando Sentinel that resort guests at Disneyland hotels have already been paying for overnight parking. Make sure to keep the new prices in mind the next time you book your Disney World resort reservation!
