Chanel's Resort Collection Included a New Take on Tweed and a Full Blown Cruise Liner

Karl Lagerfeld is known for creating some of the most spectacular fashion shows, but his latest set might be the most monumental yet. For Chanel's 2019 Resort collection, the designer took the cruise theme quite literally by turning the Grand Palais into a marina. Complete with a full-blown cruise ship named after Coco Chanel's villa in the South of France, it was a nod to her first lifestyle collections, which she introduced in the late 1920s.

As guests sat in front of the ship, models, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, made their way down the runway in tweed dresses, sailor pants, short dresses, cropped jackets, and embellished berets. Once again, Lagerfeld offered an array of pretty options to wear on your next vacation, and cruises have never been so fashionable.
