Warning: this post contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.
When part of the Avengers: Infinity War cast stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, they were very quick to point out that of all of them, Mark Ruffalo is the least trustworthy when it comes to keeping movie secrets. The actor did accidentally stream the first 20 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok on Instagram, after all. On top of that, it turns out that while promoting the film at Disney's D23 expo last Summer, Ruffalo actually spoiled the ending of Avengers: Infinity War. Seriously!
In the video above, he and costar Don Cheadle are talking about the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a reporter when Ruffalo slips up. At first listen, it sounds like he says, "Wait until you see this next one, everybody dies." But if you listen closely, Ruffalo actually starts to say "half of everyone dies" before he stops himself. Almost immediately, Cheadle shoots him a "you messed up" look and just shakes his head in resignation.
"Can we rewind that part?" Ruffalo jokes. "Am I in trouble?" Don Cheadle tries his best to tell Ruffalo to move on to the next question after letting him know he's probably in "a little" trouble. Turns out the man behind the Hulk was right, because if you've seen Avengers: Infinity War, you know that half of our beloved heroes bite the dust. At least we have this adorable video to console us while we wait for Avengers 4!
