The 7 Bizarre Things My Mom Always Did That I Do Now

My mom, like many other people's moms, is the World's Greatest Mom. But that didn't mean she never did anything that weirded me out while I was growing up. There were plenty of WTF moments in our household, in which I'd witness some bizarre act that I silently swore I'd never do. Of course, now that I'm one of the many World's Greatest Moms myself, I've found that on too-frequent an occasion, I'll do something instinctually and then all of a sudden jerk upright with pained realization: "Oh, no. I've become my mother." Not that that's a bad thing - it's just I never imagined a person could so matter-of-factly pick a booger out of someone else's nose . . . or that I'd become that person.

Here are seven (and counting) eye-rolling things my mom always did that I find myself doing all the time:

1. Wiping snot with her bare hands.

"What is the urgency?!" my elementary-aged self probably wondered when my mom just wiped my runny nose with nary a tissue. Now, I do it all the time. And if you think I then immediately sanitize my hand, you probably don't ever want to borrow my jeans.

2. Using saliva as a cleaning method.

It's a cliché mom maneuver, but I can now attest to its greatness. I'll be sitting mere steps away from a baby wipe, and it still just makes more sense to lick my finger and rub the banana slime off my kid's cheek. (The hygienic implication of doing this and the aforementioned snot wipe is not lost on me.)

3. Forgetting her age.

There were at least a half-dozen times growing up in which I witnessed my mom hesitating to say how old she was, and not because she didn't want to reveal her age. She could spout out my complete medical history but she couldn't remember the amount of years she'd been on this earth, which left me dumbfounded and concerned about her mental capacity. Until earlier this week, when I had to use an online calculator to determine if I was 32, 33, or 34.

4. Wanting to be sick instead of her kids.

Whenever I'd be in bed with the flu or a fever, my mother would always say the same thing: "I wish I could take away your pain and be sick instead." Yeah, right, I'd think. You don't literally mean that. And yet there I was, with my child who was suffering from a stomach bug, and I truly, honestly would have given anything to be the one projectile vomiting . . . and not just because I think I've got better aim. (Side note: catching vomit with my bare hands and allowing myself to be vomited on without complaint are two other insane acts I've inherited from moms worldwide.)

5. Hating today's music.

Well into my late 20s, my mom would lament the downfall of music whenever I picked the radio station. Now I'm the one asking anyone who'll listen what a "nae nae" is and why Drake's "Hotline Bling" is even something that is allowed.

6. Eating previously chewed-on food.

It used to always remind me of the mama bird method of feeding, but now? If I share a morsel of my delicious meal with my child, and she takes a bite and decides to spit it out, there's a 97 percent chance I'll pick up where she left off and finish the job.

7. Saying, "you'll see when you're a mom!"

Whenever my mom said this, it was alongside an unsettling sneer. Clearly, she meant it as a threat. Why would my mom be so vengeful toward her own daughter? These days, I finally get it. Based on the amount of times I've given her grief for doing the above six things alone (never mind all the other moments I wasn't appreciative of her, only to gripe about the thankless job that is parenting), I can see why she'd want a little payback.
Although I'm not especially proud of this realization, I take comfort in the fact that someday, I'll be able to pass the torch to my own kid. The snotty, germy, poopy torch.

No, Every Mother Doesn't "Need" a Daughter

"Deep down, every mother really wants a daughter," the woman standing next to me at the bar said smugly.

What? Really? No, that's not true! That was it, I'd heard enough. After almost 10 years as a mother of boys, I couldn't keep quiet any more. I'd been hearing it for years - almost a decade to tell the truth - and I couldn't take it anymore. No, every mother doesn't really want a daughter and even so, who was she to be informing me of this. Unfortunately for this stranger, whom I'd only just met at a cocktail party at an industry convention, she said the wrong thing at the wrong time and became the unsuspecting victim of my verbal rage.

If I really think about it, it started mere minutes after my first child was born. Always a fan for a surprise, we didn't find out what we were having with either of my pregnancies. And both times, I was shocked to give birth to sons. Though I have a brother, my mother came from three generations of families with only daughters. But my husband was one of three boys. So there was that. But unlike some people, who prayed to have a child of one sex or another, I really didn't have a preference with either of my children. And after having my first son, I was actually frightened by the idea of having a daughter - I knew what I was doing with a boy. I'd have a learn a whole new way of wiping with a daughter!

But when I was pregnant with my second son, even strangers would stop me and say things like, "I bet you're hoping for a daughter." Or, "Now that you have a son, you need a daughter." It's amazing how someone else's pregnancy completely removes the filter from some people's brains.

And then my perfect, snuggly, adorable second son arrived. It didn't take long for strangers' loose lips to start flapping again.

"You'll try for the girl, right?"
"Sons are wonderful, but it's a daughter that takes care of her parents when they're old."
"A son's a son until he takes a wife, a daughter's a daughter all of her life."
"You know, my friend's friend used
this method to guarantee her third would be a daughter and it worked. Want me to ask her about it?"

I've heard it all, and I've never let it get to me before. My family's complete, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Sure, I have my old sorority sweatshirt and some childhood jewelry boxed up in case a niece wants it one day, but I truly cherish my life as a mother of boys. Which is why the comment probably stung as much as it did.

I was working my way up to the bar with a friend who had recently given birth to her second son. We were chatting about the conference and working mom issues, when an acquaintance of hers, who hadn't seen her since she gave birth, wanted to know what she had. "A son!" my friend exclaimed. "Oh," the woman, who happens to be the mother of a daughter, said a bit deflated. "I'm sure you were hoping for a girl." And that's when I launched into her.

Don't project your insecurities or your own issues onto me or any other mom for that matter. Just because you want something, doesn't mean I do. And don't make this a competition. There's more than enough competition in the mommy world to go around. Let's not start competing about something we have no control over.

All of this is to say that we need to be nicer to people. We need to take people's feelings into consideration. We need to consider some of the basic tenets of preschool - be nice, say nice things, think before you speak, etc. While I considered myself to be blessed to have two sons who would walk on water for me (and after seeing how my husband and his brothers care for their mother, I know I have a lifetime of support ahead of me), I'm sure there are moms of sons out there who desperately want a daughter. And mothers of daughters who dream of having sons. There's no perfect formula for what makes a family whole. But I do know that I wouldn't change mine for all of the tutus, tiaras, and estrogen in the world.

See the NSFW Birth Photo That Got a Photographer Kicked Off Facebook

When Morag Hastings first shared a raw photo of a new mom catching her own baby during birth, the powerful image was shared over 2,000 times and was viewed by more than half a million people. Amongst the messages pouring in from women who felt inspired to try standing during their own deliveries, one note stood out. Two weeks after the photo was posted, Facebook informed Morag that she is banned for 30 days and that her business page, Apple Blossom Families, would be unpublished.

According to the message that Morag received, Facebook said the photo violates their guidelines in regard to nudity. Facebook's community standards state, "We remove photographs of people displaying genitals or focusing in on fully exposed buttocks …. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited." Not only does Morag disagree that her image breaks their rules since it doesn't show full buttocks and isn't overtly sexual, she finds it ironic that Kim Kardashian's photo can "break the internet" for its sexual and butt-bearing nature, yet the celebrity's page remains untouched. "I wish my clients and other women could feel #liberated and have #confidence with their unsexual birth images," Morag told POPSUGAR. "My business page, with 22,000 followers that I worked really hard to acquire, is going to be unpublished because I posted an educational image of a baby being born."

The mother from the controversial shot, who asked not to be named, completely understands that a photo of her child's birth might make some people uncomfortable. However, she wants to know how society can possibly become more comfortable with birth if we don't see photos of it and are told that these images are too disgusting to be shared. "Birth is not comfortable. It's difficult, challenging, messy, and sometimes painful. It's also a transformative, beautiful, and powerful experience that should be celebrated, not censored," she told POPSUGAR.

The mom explained that she spent most of her pregnancy looking at birth photos, watching birth videos, and reading birth stories. "I would cry through them all, overcome by a mix of emotions: fear, what-ifs, anticipation, and excitement. When I thought I couldn't possibly do it, those images and stories helped me believe I could," she added. "We shared our photos and story with the belief that if we inspired or empowered even one person that it would be worth it."

Even though Morag feels strongly that the posted photos were fully within the guidelines, it doesn't matter because she can't dispute Facebook's decision - and doesn't even have a contact that she can try reaching out to in defense of the image. "Seeing other people having babies helps us understand and normalize the process. It also makes room for questions to be asked," added Morag. "Women are way more than sexual objects, we are amazing creatures that create life and we want to freely share it with each other so we can learn about birth in a healthy way."

8 Things to Double-Check While Rushing to File Taxes

April 18 - aka Tax Day - is looming over us all, and for those of you who haven't filed, make sure you're not making careless mistakes while rushing to meet the deadline. Here are a couple of the common errors taxpayers make when filing, according to the IRS:

  1. Social Security numbers. Many people input incorrect or missing Social Security numbers, so make sure you're entering in the same numbers that are on your Social Security card.
  2. Dependent's last name. You'd be surprised to know that many people misspell their dependent's last name. Make sure you use the same name that's used on his or her Social Security card.
  3. Filing status. Many people choose the wrong filing status. Be familiar with the five filing statuses, which are single, married filing jointly, married filing separately, head of household, and qualifying widower with a dependent child. To figure out which status is the most suitable for your situation, read Publication 501.
  4. Math. A lot of filers mess up the math while preparing paper returns, so be sure to review it if you're filing the old-fashioned way. Or better yet, file electronically so you don't have to do the math.
  5. Computation. Taxpayers tend to make mistakes when calculating their taxable income, withholding, and estimated tax payments, Earned Income Tax Credit, Standard Deduction for age 65 or over or blind, the taxable amount of Social Security benefits, and the Child and Dependent Care Credit. If you have to do some of these computations, make sure you take your time and you're double-checking your answers.
  6. Bank account numbers for direct deposit. If you are going with the direct deposit option, make sure you input the right bank routing and account numbers.
  7. Signing and dating the return. If you do not sign your tax return, it is considered invalid. Remember, both spouses must sign a joint return.
  8. Adjusted gross income. When filing electronically, you have to sign the return with a Personal Identification Number. For identity verification, you will be required to input your adjusted gross income from your 2015 tax return or last year's PIN if you also filed electronically. Don't use the AGI amount from an amended return, Form 1040X, or a math-error correction made by the IRS.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo Listed Their Not-So-Baby-Friendly NYC Loft

Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine and Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo are moving out of their 2,800-square-foot loft in New York City. Centered in SoHo, the spacious home is being left behind after being occupied for nearly two years since the couple got married in July 2014. We're guessing they're opting for a more kid-friendly space for their first baby.

For $5.5 million - slightly higher than the $4.4 million it was purchased for - you can enjoy an open kitchen with black granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, elevator entrance, and a 60-foot living room that features exposed brick walls. The 13-foot ceilings add a ton of breathing room while six columns are spaced throughout the stylish one-bedroom, two-bathroom loft. The pair is also offering to include the furniture for an additional price.

While the living room area boasts an urban-chic vibe, the master bath is sleek with marble flooring and walls. Exposed brick continues on the walls of the bedroom, which also enjoys abundant natural lighting and a spacious walk-in closet.

This Mexican Compound Just Made George Clooney $100 Million Richer

The biggest testament to George Clooney's tight bond with friend and business partner Rande Gerber and his wife, Cindy Crawford, are the two vacation homes they built side by side in a shared compound in Los Cabos, Mexico, lovingly dubbed Casamigos (aka House of Friends). Now the friends that played together are making money together. A Mexican billionaire reportedly just purchased the twin mansions for a cool $100 million. While it was previously reported that only George and his lovely wife Amal, were looking to sell, it seems they were offered a two for one deal they couldn't refuse.

The history of Casamigos goes way back. George and Rande discovered the oceanside lot while traveling together and began to envision the possibilities: Christmas vacations without booking a year in advance and a short enough flight to accommodate spontaneous weekend trips. Designed by Ricardo Legorreta, one of Mexico's famed architects, and his son, Víctor, the two modern structures nestled in the oceanfront compound are breathtaking.

The house was even featured in a past issue of Architectural Digest. Take a peek inside!

Like Rande and Cindy's home (pictured here), George's house also opens with a long hallway that flows elegantly into a dramatic central courtyard. The courtyard connects to a series of sitting areas, dining spaces, an open kitchen, and a bar.

Both homes have spacious pools that face the ocean. Rande and Cindy's pool (pictured here) includes a stunning terrace that provides plenty of places to lounge and eat while taking in the views.

George's home comes equipped with an especially spacious bar area. The large flat-screen TV is a popular spot for catching sports games with friends.

George's courtyard is similar to Rande and Cindy's, with the addition of netted, fisherman-style pendants that illuminate the space at night.

For even more pictures of Casamigos, check out the full feature in Architectural Digest!

Add Some Sparkle to Your Wedding With DIY Personalized Sequined Hangers

Add an extra touch of sparkle to your wedding day with these pretty-in-gold sequined hangers. Whether you are using them to showcase your gorgeous gown or wrapping them up as personalized gifts for your bridesmaids, these DIY hangers will make the perfect accessory for your big day. Best yet, the hangers are surprisingly easy to personalize and are so affordable to make. All you really need is some wire and a set of pliers to get the lettering done. It's as simple as that!

Here's what you'll need for the project:

  • 2 yards of sequined elastic ribbon
  • Wooden coat hanger
  • Gold acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • 16-gauge jewelry wire
  • Sketch paper
  • Pencil or pen
  • Pliers
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun or tacky glue
  • Gloves (optional)

Step 1

Place a firm grip on the wooden bar to pull it off the hanger. Once the bar is removed, you should see two tiny screws still attached to the hanger. The screws will come in handy in Step 7. Note: use a towel or gloves as a protection barrier for your hands.

Step 2

Using a paintbrush, apply a coating of gold acrylic paint onto the hanger. Let dry.

Step 3

Apply a dab of glue at the end of the hanger. Secure the end of the ribbon to the hanger.

Step 4

Firmly wrap the ribbon around the hanger until you reach the other end.

Step 5

Apply a dab of glue to the hanger to secure the other end of the ribbon. Set hanger aside.

Step 6

Sketch out the personalized name, date, word, or phrase in cursive. If you plan to freehand the wire lettering, move on to Step 7.

Tips:

  • Avoid using a wire that is thicker than 16 gauge because it will be hard to mold the lettering by hand.
  • Pliers are the best tool for applying a neat, more precise bend to your letter wiring.
  • Use the paper sketch as your guide.
  • Make sure to leave off excess wiring on both ends of your lettering to secure the wire to the hanger.

Step 7

Use the tiny screws on either end to fix the wire lettering onto the hanger. Tightly wrap the ends of the wire around the screw using a pair of pliers. Snip the excess wire with scissors.

If there are no screws on your hanger, you will need to add them. Another option would be to drill holes big enough for the wire to be inserted. Apply a high bond adhesive to the tip of the wire, and insert directly into the hanger. Wait for the glue to dry before using the hanger.

Step 9: Ready For Use

The First Photo of Scarlett Johansson as Ghost in the Shell's Major Kusanagi Is Here

Ever since it was announced that Masamune Shirow's manga and anime series Ghost in the Shell would be brought to life on the big screen, the world has been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of ass-kicking heroine, Major Matoko Kusanagi, in the flesh. Well, it's finally arrived, and although it's probably safe to say that fans are still pretty angry that Scarlett Johansson was cast instead of a Japanese actress (and rightly so), the photo suggests that the film will nail the dark, moody feel of Shirow's insanely popular series. Johansson (and her purple wig) looks about as close to the original character as she possibly can, so here's hoping the rest of the movie delivers. Ghost in the Shell will be directed by Rupert Sanders, and is expected to arrive in theaters on March 31, 2017.

This Remarkable Surveillance Footage Proves That Every Adult Absolutely Needs to Have This Skill

Do you know how to do the Heimlich maneuver? Do you know how to perform it on a child?

If you answered "yes" to both of those questions, no need to read any further. If not, then let this video's surveillance footage – of a bus driver doing the Heimlich on a boy who swallowed a penny – serve as a life-saving reminder.

Ginger Maxville, an Oklahoma teacher's assistant, was driving a school bus when the 5-year-old began gasping for air.

"I thought he was teasing me and just not following my instructions and not sitting down," Maxville told KTUL News. But then the boy's sister shouted out that he swallowed a coin.

Maxville's actions that followed were nothing short of amazing: She stopped the bus in a safe spot, calmly grabbed the student, and positioned him properly before performing the Heimlich maneuver. After three pumps, the boy coughed it up.

In the surveillance footage, you can actually hear her coaching him every step of the way: "Did he swallow it? Come here. It is OK. You'll throw it up. OK, got it."

It was the first time in 17 years she has had to use the lifesaving skill she learned during a CPR course: "I got to see if I was really paying attention when I had my training, and it paid off," Maxville said.

Her message to the boy, captured on the footage, made it clear she didn't want to be forced to use this skill anytime in the near future: "Don't you do that again. You scared me to death, you hear me?"

Unsure how to do the Heimlich maneuver? Sign up for a CPR training class or get more information at the National Insitutes of Health.

Find Out How to Fix the iOS 9 Bug That Gives Anyone Access to Your Phone

Think slapping a six-digit password to your iPhone lock screen makes your phone impenetrable? Think again. A new iOS 9 bug is scaring users by illustrating just how vulnerable our smartphones really are.

In a recent video, YouTube user videosdebarraquito illustrated how the glitch works. Though the video is in Spanish, it shows him going to the lock screen, entering an incorrect password, and then activating Siri - which can be done by either pressing down on the home button or simply saying, "Hey, Siri."

The "hacker" then asks Siri to search Twitter for a particular phrase they know will bring up an email address. (Or, you can ask Siri to search for "@gmail.com" on Twitter and a bunch of email addresses will come up.) Then, by using 3D Touch and pressing onto any of the full email addresses that show up, he is able to choose "Add to existing contact." Subsequently, he is then given unfettered access to that phone's full contact list. Watch the entire process in the video below.

It gets worse: this glitch also grants people access to your photos! As shown in the video, once the "hacker" is roaming about in your contacts, they are able to click on a contact, add a photo for that contact, and then hit "Choose photo," which pulls up your entire photo library. Not cool, Apple. Not cool.

It's important to note that for this to work, you need to have an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, which come with 3D Touch capabilities. And there's some good news. Taylor Swift Talks About the Possibility of Marrying "Magical" Calvin Harris

Not only does she look simply stunning, but she also isn't afraid to touch on some hot topics, including her ongoing "feud" with Kanye West, her elite group of gal pals, and whether or not her blossoming relationship with boyfriend Calvin Harris will lead her down the aisle. Taylor Swift is good at a lot of things (singing, pretending to be surprised, etc.), but perhaps most of all, the "Out of the Woods" singer is a total pro when it comes to the art of hugging. Taylor - champion of the word "squad" and flaunter of high-profile celebrity friendships - has proved her love of hugs time and time again at award shows, on stage at her many concerts, and out and about with friends, when she's given plenty of fellow celebrities a big squeeze. The Heartwarming Reason 80 Students Shaved Their Heads That Will Bring You to Tears

After watching her best friend spend the past year battling cancer, Cameron McLaughlin wanted to do something in honor of Marlee Pack's return to school.

The 9-year-old, who was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and recently finished 40 weeks of chemotherapy after having her foot amputated, was thrilled to hear that her friend was going to donate a portion of her long hair. But when Cameron decided that her original idea wasn't enough and that she wanted to shave her entire head instead, Marlee had no idea just how big this sweet idea would bloom.

"When Cameron told Marlee she was thinking about shaving her head, Marlee got a huge smile on her face and said 'we can be baldy besties together!'" Cameron's mom, Cheray McLaughlin, told Today.

Inspired by her daughter, McLaughlin worked with a teacher, Jody Hempelmann, and transformed the idea into a school assembly to raise money for childhood cancer research. On March 16, Meridian Elementary School held the fundraiser called "Be Bold, Be Brave, Go Bald" and donated the proceeds to St. Baldrick's Foundation. The Colorado school-wide event was a major success with 80 students, three teachers, both principals, and one student's parent volunteering to have their heads shaved.

When it was Cameron's turn to take the stage and get her hair buzzed, Marlee held her hand as hundreds of kids cheered her on. "I told her that I cried when I did it, but she didn't. She was brave," Marlee recalled to the Broomfield Enterprise. "I thought people would make fun of me but people just supported me instead."

Eight stylists volunteered for the event, and participants who were more comfortable with donating their hair rather than shaving their heads were encouraged to drop by the salon after school. The school raised over $25,000 and potentially the most exciting of all: Marlee got the opportunity to be the one to shave her first-grade teacher's head.

"She's been through so much in the past year, I think she just faces life head on now," Marlee's mom, Shelly Pack said. "This event only made her even more outgoing, confident and happy and as her mom, it's refreshing to see."

Ultimate Kylie Fan Gets Second Lip Kit-Inspired Tattoo

There's no doubt in our minds that superfan Johnny Cyrus is the uncontested winner when it comes to dedication to Kylie Jenner. He has every single one of her lip kits and glosses, had his photo snapped with the teen makeup mogul, and made headlines last year when he got inked with an enormous Lip Kit-inspired tattoo. (He already had a big crowned "K" on his arm in honor of the star.) Now he's gone under the needle again for another King Kylie-themed tattoo.

Right under the aforementioned crowned "K," Johnny has permanently embellished his arm with swatches of the Lip Kit in neat little rectangles. (The products are longwear, but he clearly wanted the colors to last forever!)

Like last time he got inked for Kylie, the teen is dealing with some cyberbullying. Instagram followers are calling him stupid for getting tattoos devoted to the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner crew. "It's my body," Johnny retorted. "I can do whatever the hell I want with it." He also pointed out that many people get Marilyn Monroe motifs or sports team designs, declaring his work of art no different.

Johnny, we say that if this is what makes you happy, go for it. We also hope that Kylie Jenner truly acknowledges this superfan - after all that he's done in the name of her cosmetics company, he deserves to get free Lip Kits for life! Read on to see images of his ink.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Try to Keep Their Relationship on the DL at a Star-Studded Charity Gala in LA

Although the world has yet to come up with a proper nickname for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom (Korlando? Blerry?), there's probably plenty of time to think of one, since their relationship appears to still be going strong. The couple - who originally fueled dating rumors when they cozied up at a Golden Globes party in January - have been spotted everywhere together, from Disneyland to Hawaii and, most recently, the Parker Institute For Cancer Immunotherapy Gala.

The star-studded event took place on Wednesday night in LA, drawing a huge celebrity crowd, including Bradley Cooper (and his adorable mom!), Lady Gaga, John Legend, Goldie Hawn, James Corden, and more, which totally made up for the fact that Katy and Orlando opted to walk the red carpet separately. The singer also ran into Taylor Swift's BFF Jaime King, and they appeared to share a few laughs. See all the glamorous photos here, and check out Katy's colorful appearance at the ACM Awards!

How to DIY Your Very Own Summer-Inspired Watermelon Wall Art

This post was originally featured on A Charming Project and is by Enid Gonzalez, who is a part of POPSUGAR Select Latina.

When I think of watermelon, I'm reminded of my childhood Summers. Every Summer, my mom would set up that long yellow slip and slide in our front yard, offer to watch all the neighborhood kids, and cut up watermelon for our afternoon snack. So you see, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a fun watermelon-themed project.

I really do love hand painting fruit decor because it's pretty easy, and we all know what fruits look like so there is very little instruction needed. If watermelon is not your thing, no problemo, check out my hand painted strawberry herb planter!

Star Wars: 6 Reasons Jyn Erso Could Totally Become Captain Phasma

Now that we've soaked up all the details about Rogue One and watched that new teaser trailer about 100 times, it's time to crack our knuckles and get to work. Rogue One may seem like a pretty separate story from Episodes I through VII, but we know that it has tangential ties and takes place just before Episode IV, A New Hope. When connecting dots across the cast Star Wars universe, most of our fascination lies with Rogue One's new protagonist, Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones. While many seem to think could be the mother of Rey, we're taking our crazy thoughts into an entirely different direction. What if Jyn Erso becomes Captain Phasma, the commander of the First Order's stormtroopers in The Force Awakens?! Keep reading to see how it's totally possible.

Watch Jennifer Lopez Recite the Surprisingly Body Positive Lyrics to "Baby Got Back"

Jennifer Lopez is known for her curves. So much so that she actually has a song called "Booty" that pays homage to her much talked-about backside, but she's not the only one who has written about it: Sir Mix-a-Lot was inspired to write "Baby Got Back" after seeing J Lo as a Fly Girl on In Living Color, he told TMZ back in 2014.

Now, the universe has come full circle, because Jennifer just poetically recited the lyrics affectionately written about her for a video accompanying her W magazine cover story. "Some brothers want to play that hard roll and tell you that the butt ain't gold," she hilariously starts. Press play above to watch it all unfold as a straight-faced J Lo reads the ridiculous (but also surprisingly body positive) words - all while wearing gorgeous red lipstick.

The Infuriating Reason This Mom Was Kicked Out of a Courtroom With Her Son

Stephanie Rhodus, a 25-year-old mother of two, was asked to leave a North Carolina courtroom after judge Peter Knight disapproved of her breastfeeding her 8-month-old son, Archer, during a proceeding. She was there on behalf of a custody hearing between her and her own mother regarding Rhodus's 8-year-old son when Archer got hungry. She thought nothing of feeding him right then and there until Knight asked her to cover up.

Knight can be heard in the video asking Rhodus to leave: "Ma'am, you need to cover up. For you not to realize that is absolutely ridiculous. Step outside, and cover up right now. Stand up, and go." Rhodus can be heard apologizing to the judge, but she told ABC News that she was completely shocked: "He was so condescending and so aggressive. . . . and I wanted to declare that I had the right to [breastfeed] there, but I was terrified."

Like many states, North Carolina has a public breastfeeding law ensuring that women have the right to nurse in any location regardless of whether the mother's breast is uncovered.

Sunny Hostin, ABC News senior legal correspondent and analyst, remarked: "Under North Carolina law, this judge went too far."

Judge Knight ended up ruling against Rhodus, issuing a six-month protective order to her mother for Rhodus not to see her child, which she believes has to do with his feelings about her breastfeeding in his courtroom. She tried to protest, but Knight threatened to hold her in contempt, so she has made plans to appeal and is due back in court on April 19.

This Website Will Tell You Your Celebrity Look-Alike, and the Results Are . . . Interesting

While celebrity look-alike generators aren't a particularly new realm, this one has left the internet - and the POPSUGAR offices - either nodding in agreement or shaking their heads in disbelief.

Little is known about CelebsLike.me, which takes your selfies and finds which celebrities you resemble and by how much, percentage-wise. Even though the generator isn't always accurate - and can change with each photo you send of yourself - it's still just plain fun. Also, let it be known that we tried it on our pets - for "research" purposes, of course - to no avail.

See what all the buzz is about by checking out some of our results and then trying it out yourself!

YES! Rihanna Will Be Launching a Makeup Line in 2017

After the success of Rihanna's collaboration with MAC Cosmetics and her range of fragrances, it would only make sense that the star would launch her own makeup line. After months of speculation, WWD is confirming that, yes, Fenty Beauty is coming. The hotly anticipated collection will hit Sephora shelves in Fall 2017.

Kendo, a subdivision of LVMH (the conglomerate that owns Sephora), will be working with Rihanna to create the range of products. Based on this information, we can almost guarantee that the brand will be ultra successful: Kendo produced Kat Von D and Marc Jacobs Beauty.

"Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience," declared David Suliteanu, chief executive officer of Kendo. "We are aiming for the stars."

Unfortunately, there is no information about the kinds of cosmetics that will be available from Fenty Beauty. We're hoping that the "beauty rocket ship" remark is a subtle reference of some kind. Perhaps "diamonds in the sky"-inspired highlighter is in the works. Or maybe she'll produce a line of rainbow lipsticks - she seems to be so fond of wearing technicolor hues.

Stay tuned! We'll be sure to report more information about Fenty Beauty as it becomes available.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Crack Each Other Up After Arriving in Bhutan

Prince William and Kate Middleton kicked off their week-long tour of India and Bhutan on Sunday. After touching down in Mumbai, the royal couple paid a visit to the Taj Palace Hotel Memorial and laid wreaths in honor of the victims of the 2008 terror attacks. They also met with children for a fun game of cricket and were presented with gorgeous flower garlands and tilaks by the locals at the Banganga Water Tank. The duo then made their way back to the hotel, where they wrapped up their night at a Bollywood-inspired charity gala.

On Monday, the pair visited Gandhi Smriti, an Indian museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi; laid a wreath at India Gate Memorial to honor soldiers from Indian regiments that fought in World War I; and attended a Young Entrepreneurs Event in Mumbai. Later that evening, Will and Kate attended a garden party celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's upcoming 90th birthday. The following day, the couple visited the Hyderabad House and met with the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi. Later that night, the two made their way to the Bihu Festival at Diphlu River Lodge, where they sat fireside and watched children dance. On Thursday, the two arrived in Bhutan and wasted no time getting in the swing of things. In addition to meeting King Wangchuck of Bhutan and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, they also showed off their archery and dart-throwing skills. Kate, of course, stunned in a yellow dress as well as a caped top.

Will and Kate's tour marks their first official trip since they visited NYC in 2014. It includes stops in New Delhi, Kaziranga National Park, Bhutan, and, finally, the Taj Mahal, which happens to be the very spot where Princess Diana made an iconic visit in 1992. Craving Chocolate on Your Period Is For Real, Dietitian Confirms

Is a regularly timed, insatiable chocolate craving your first sign of PMS? For many women, the desire for chocolate during their menstrual cycle is seriously powerful, and almost always associated with pelvic cramping.

And while there's some debate within the scientific community about whether cravings signify a nutrient deficiency, Nutritionist Lisa Eberly, RD, says this craving is for real. "Our body craves magnesium when we have any kind of muscle cramping, and eating chocolate soothes cramps." Because of the soothing, healing properties chocolate can have, women tend to crave it emotionally, as well. It's a comfort food unlike any other (but we're not complaining).

This translates to cravings beyond the monthly cycle. Magnesium and chocolate cravings can occur when you're experiencing any other kind of cramp, or even an eye twitch.

Another bonus of chocolate on your period? The caffeine levels can soothe a headache, which is another common side effect. Not like you needed an excuse for chocolate, but now you can totally back it up, because science.
