Jason Momoa Secretly Restored Lisa Bonet's First Car, So Apparently Gift Giving Is His Superpower

Jason Momoa is giving Lisa Bonet a gift full of cherished memories. On Tuesday, the Aquaman actor revealed that he'd been secretly working on a very special project: restoring his wife's 1964 Mustang. "This is the first car she ever bought," he explained in a YouTube video. "It's one of three ever made and it has a lot of custom parts to it."

"I know we can't relive a memory, but maybe we can rebuild one."

"I know we can't relive a memory, but maybe we can rebuild one," Jason mused in the video, reflecting on the car's previously beat-up state. He worked with the craftsmen at Divine 1 Customs in Las Vegas to return the vehicle to its previous glory - or perhaps even better. "I never thought that it would look like this," he admitted, after seeing the completed rebuild.

His disbelief is practically nothing compared to Lisa's. When Jason and their two kids - Nakoa-Wolf, 11, and Lola, 13 - delivered her surprise, she appeared incredibly moved by the nostalgic gesture. "It's beautiful. Holy cow," Lisa said. "That is gorgeous. Oh my gosh. It's pristine, not too flashy but just enough."

The surprise ended in a cute kiss between the couple, before they left hand in hand to take the car for a ride. Watch the video above to see Lisa's sweet shock (and Jason's pride at pulling it off!) in action.

Charlize Theron Knew She Wanted to Adopt a Baby When She Was Just a Child Herself

Charlize Theron is a mom to two daughters through adoption, and as it turns out, the actress knew she wanted to adopt when she was just a child herself. In an interview with Diane von Furstenberg in the season one finale of her podcast, InCharge With DVF, Charlize opened up about what led her to pursue adoption, what her daughters Jackson and August have taught her, and on the other side of the coin, what she's teaching her girls when it comes to relationships.

When asked how old she was when she knew she wanted to be a mother, Charlize told Diane that she was just 8 years old when the idea of adoption first spoke to her.

"I was connected to the idea of having a family through adoption when I was 8 years old."

"I'm an only child, I didn't have any siblings, and my mom has a letter that I wrote her when I was 8 years old," she said. "In the letter I ask her if we could, for Christmas, go to an orphanage to adopt a brother or sister for me. My mom, when I went through my first adoption, actually showed me the letter. I was connected to the idea of having a family through adoption when I was 8 years old. She's like: 'You never asked me to have another baby. You never asked me to have a little brother or sister for you. You just immediately went to adoption.' But I always knew that I wanted to be a mother always."

Charlize adopted her 8-year-old daughter Jackson in early 2012 and her 5-year-old daughter August in July 2015. Of the adoption process, the 44-year-old shared: "That whole process was incredibly empowering for me as a woman. The fact that I got to choose when I wanted to be a mom . . . There is a great power in choosing to be a mother and then doing it when your body, your mind, and everything is celebrating all of that. And I know that this is what I can handle."

Although Charlize knew from very early on that she wanted to be a mother, and then waited for the right timing to adopt her first child, there were still some surprises along the way.

"My children have completely reopened my eyes to the world and I jokingly always say I'm back at university."

"The thing that was really eye-opening to me was, my children kind of came to me in this unexpected way, where you know, I didn't know I was going to be the mom to two African American girls. I didn't know I was going to be the mom to an African American trans girl," she said. "All of these things have kind of made me more aware of how little I know. My children have completely reopened my eyes to the world and I jokingly always say I'm back at university. I'm back having to learn every single day because they challenge me in that way."

What Charlize does know, however, is that it's OK not to enter into relationships that don't serve you, even if it seems like what you "should" be doing. While in the car with her girls recently, Charlize shared that her 5-year-old proclaimed that her mom "needs a boyfriend," and the actress used this time to teach August that sometimes, the relationship you need most is the one you have with yourself.

In that moment, she responded to her daughter: "Actually I don't [need a boyfriend]. Right now, I feel really good." She continued, sharing that August had told her: "'You know what, Mom? You just need a boyfriend, you need a relationship!' And I was like: 'I am in a relationship. I'm in a relationship with myself right now.' And she had this look in her eye like she had never really contemplated that that was even a possibility . . . her mind was blown. But I know that was the day that she realized there's a different possibility."

A 3-year-old named Tristan discovered the food filters on Snapchat and never looked back. In a compilation video posted to TikTok by his godmother, Cherisse, Tristan can be seen - well, his eyes and mouth, at least - trying out multiple filters, from a hot dog to a carrot and even a head of broccoli. At each jump to a new food, Tristan's happy toddler voice announces his new identity proudly, and it's extremely adorable (though things get a *little* sinister when he turns into a lemon).

TikTok users are loving the toddler's video so much - it has over 2.3 million views at press time! - that Cherisse shared a second video in which Tristan tackled animal filters. And let's just say we wish we had Tristan's energy during his lion filter phase. Watch Tristan turn into foods in the hilarious video above, and animals in the sweet video below.

Kate Middleton Keeps Her Kids Close by Wearing a Gold Necklace With Their Initials

Kate Middleton's kids are close to her heart, even when she's away from home on royal outings. The Duchess of Cambridge met with volunteers at Baby Basics UK on Tuesday, and if you look closely, you'll see the sweetest nod to George, Charlotte, and Louis around her neck. Kate followed in her sister-in-law Meghan Markle's footsteps and chose a necklace featuring her kids' initials from sustainable designer Daniella Draper. How lovely!

Naturally, the rest of Kate's outfit is the definition of breezy summer style. She opted for a white button-down dress from Suzannah - a piece she first wore to Wimbledon last July. For the Baby Basics event, Kate changed the way she styled her shirt dress and chose a favorite pair of Tabitha Simmons heels to go with it. She also added a floral Amaia Kids face mask when unpacking boxes or interacting with workers at a closer proximity. Get a look at her whole outfit below, and see her exact necklace.

Starbucks Just Released a Salted Caramel Mocha Creamer to Get You in the Fall Mood

I don't know about you, but it's about that time of the summer when I'm ready to swap out my nap dresses and denim shorts for some cozy oversize sweaters and leather jackets. While the weather might not agree, it seems like food companies certainly do, as brands like Starbucks are already rolling out their fall flavors and seasonal items. Inspired by the popular drink at Starbucks, the coffeehouse just released a Salted Caramel Mocha Flavored Creamer to give your at-home coffee the sweet and salty kick it deserves. The new creamer is described as a mix of "cocoa and sweet caramel flavors" with "a hint of salt." Yum!

The coffee company also introduced a new Maple Pecan Flavored Coffee and brought back its Pumpkin Spice Flavored Creamer, Flavored Coffee, and Flavored Latte to get us all in the fall mood. For non-coffee lovers, Starbucks has also added Spiced Apple Cider and Lemon Ginger Bliss Teavana Tea Sachets to its fall lineup. The brand's newest offerings are currently available in grocery stores nationwide, so get your taste buds ready for some festive flavors. Take a closer look at the latest launches below.

7 Hairstyles From Moesha That Perfectly Sum Up Black Beauty In the 90s

Last week, Netflix's Strong Black Lead announced that it would be adding seven iconic Black sitcoms to the platform in the next three months. That included shows like Sister, Sister, Girlfriends, One on One, and more. The first to hit the platform over the last weekend was Moesha, the UPN sitcom starring Brandy as the titular character who navigates life as a teenager living with her widowed father, her younger brother Miles, and her stepmother Dee, (who also happens to be the vice principal at her school).

The show became one of the most popular titles on Netflix almost as soon as it arrived, as droves of people (including myself) immediately dove back into the series for nostalgic purposes. During my rewatch of the series, it was hard not to take note of all of the throwback hairstyles worn by the characters that were giving me major flashbacks to some of the styles I grew up seeing around me as a kid.

Ahead, check out a few hairstyles worn on the show that essentially sum up how expressive beauty trends were in the '90s.

In a slideshow shared to her grid on Tuesday, Lovato posted two photos showing off her adorable mini space buns and a supersoft makeup look that has us ready to reach for the nearest tube of Lip Smacker.

Lovato paired the throwback look with a soft pink smoky eye, extra long lashes, and, of course, a classic glossy lip that's almost as shiny as her silver hoop earrings. The baggy jeans and oversize, pastel T-shirt only have us reliving everything we love about the decade even more. Check out Lovato's full look here, and take a trip down memory lane with this list of '90s makeup product essentials.

For Straightforward Political News, I Recommend These 22 Twitter Accounts

Yamiche Alcindor of PBS NewsHour asks a question at a White House press conference

I never thought I'd be living through a pandemic - let alone an election year coupled with a pandemic. Keeping up with the influx of information has been trying for me, personally, as I'm sure many of you can relate to. While we are living in a time with unparalleled technological advances, having so much information at your fingertips can feel overwhelming.

I've found, in recent months, that I prefer getting my political news from the folks on the ground - specifically from reporters, not pundits, who are covering The White House on a daily basis. As the United States is deep into a historic election year, I thought I could get you started with a list of journalists and reporters to follow, helping you get the news direct from the source.

I choose to follow these individuals because I value their hard work and commitment to getting me the news directly.

I appreciate getting direct quotes from a press briefing or the word-by-word exchanges happening on the congressional floor because this allows me to craft my opinion on the news, which I value. More than anything, following these folks has made me realize the immense respect I have for their hard work and commitment to be on the ground (pandemic or not) day in and day out, maintaining their professionalism and working with dignity. The individuals on this list report for a wide variety of publications and come from a range of backgrounds covering the 2020 election. Their work makes my own Twitter feed that much more informative, and I hope it will do the same for yours.

Swiss Miss Has New Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate, Because Our Taste Buds Are Ready For Fall

Grab a bag of mini marshmallows and slip on an oversize sweater, because Swiss Miss just combined two of our favorite fall drinks to create Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate, and I'm already grabbing my favorite mug. The sweet drink, originally introduced in 2019, looks like it's made to be served with a generous swirl of whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, so please excuse me while I sift through my spice cabinet. For anyone in the mood for a spiked hot chocolate, a splash of vodka could also pair well with these warm fall flavors, so don't hesitate to try out your microwave barista skills and personalize your pumpkin spice hot chocolate any way you want.

The limited-edition treat will be available nationwide at retailers such as Target and Walmart for $2 per eight-count box beginning in September. If you're looking to stock up for the winter in the meantime, Amazon is currently selling a 12-box bundle for $39. That may sound like a lot of hot chocolate (and it is), but something tells me I'll be ready to stock up on more in no time.

How Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev's Love Story Started on Live TV

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are officially parents! They welcomed their first son on July 31 (incidentally, only a day before her twin sister also had a son!). The new parents have had a whirlwind romance, only having been officially dating for about a year and a half, but they first met years earlier - and they can thank reality TV for introducing them.

Back in 2017, Nikki and Artem met when they were paired up on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars. They made it through seven weeks of competition before being eliminated, landing in a tie for 7th place overall. At the time, Nikki was actually still engaged to her ex, fellow wrestler John Cena. Nikki even told E! News that she wanted Artem to teach her and Cena for their first dance at their wedding. "Well, if John's going to be up for it, taking some dance lessons, I'm sure we can figure something out," Artem joked back.

Of course, we all know that wedding never actually happened: Nikki and Cena broke up for good in July 2018, after six years of an on-and-off relationship. In December of that year, Nikki talked to Us Weekly about singledom and seemed to indicate that she was single at the time. "It's hard being a single girl. Over the holidays, I'm really looking forward to wandering into some bars and being a single girl."

By the beginning of 2019, however, the rumor mill had shifted gears, and reports circulated that Nikki had actually been dating Artem for longer than anyone thought. A source told Us Weekly in early January 2019 that the couple had been dating "for a while" at that point. Nikki continued to say that they were friends and nothing more, at least for a couple of months.

That lasted until the airing of a March 2019 episode of Total Bellas that confirmed their relationship. "I have this new level of excitement. I'm just having a lot of fun. And I feel like, the first time ever, I'm focusing on me. It's crazy. I never in my life would've thought that, like, I would've had a lot in common with a Russian," Nikki said in the episode. "I'm ready to really explore new things and people and just really see what certain chemistries are all about." After the episode aired, Nikki shared a cute photo to Instagram, featuring her planting a kiss on his cheek. "Well after that season finale. First thing I'll be talking about this Wednesday..." she captioned the photo. They continued documenting their relationship in public, especially on The Bellas Podcast, which Nikki hosts with her twin sister Brie.

They revealed their engagement in a January 2020 Instagram post, where Nikki also revealed that they actually had gotten engaged two months earlier, while in France in November 2019. Only a few weeks after sharing their engagement news, they also revealed that they were expecting their first child.
