Vegetarians, Rejoice! Burger King Is Rolling Out Meatless "Impossible Whoppers" Across the US
Vegetarians, get ready to do a happy dance, because Burger King is planning to release a meat-free version of its famed Whopper sandwich in restaurants across the US. The fast food chain began rolling out a limited supply of its new Impossible Whopper on April 1, adding them to the menu at 59 locations in St. Louis. This test went "exceedingly well," according to a Burger King rep, leading the burger joint to expand testing into new markets in "the very near future," with the goal of nationwide availability by the end of 2019. Heck yes!
The vegetarian-approved menu addition stars a beefless, plant-based patty from the brand behind the Impossible Burger, along with the usual Whopper fixings, including lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, ketchup, mayo, and a sesame seed bun. Keep reading to see just how mouth-watering the Impossible Whopper looks, and you'll certainly cross your fingers for it to debut at your local BK as soon as possible.
