A Definitive Ranking of the Costco Food Court Offerings

One of the biggest mistakes one can make while grocery shopping is tackling the task on an empty stomach. Big box retailer Costco Wholesale never fails to come to the rescue on this front, offering a stocked food court conveniently right in front of the checkout line. The food court has both perks and drawbacks. On the one hand, it's very quick and inexpensive, but on the other, several items are prepared well before you even order. However, after performing a taste test on all of the menu's main offerings, my fiancé and I found that there are a couple of other winners within the bunch. Read on to see what our surprising number one pick is.

This Ikea Purchase Is the Answer to All Your Small-Closet Problems

Tiny closets are a source of stress and frustration almost all small-space dwellers can relate to, but when you have to share that tiny closet with your significant other, battle lines are drawn. I should know. My husband and I tried to make due with his and hers dressers and a hanging clothes rack for a while, but the exposed rack of clothes and overflowing dressers just weren't cutting it. A wardrobe was needed. Not just any wardrobe, though. We needed his and hers wardrobes that could be customized, easily assembled, and purchased for less than a small fortune. Like any online editor would do, I took my quest to Pinterest where I discovered the answer to my problem: Ikea's Pax Wardrobe System. The interior organizing possibilities are seemingly endless, it was in stock at my local Ikea, and it was an option we could actually afford. After studying and pinning some inspiration pictures culled from other bloggers' Pax projects, my husband and I purchased one for each of us and customized them for our needs. Here's what I did with mine!

The 33 Sexiest Pictures of Jamie on Outlander

Real talk: Sam Heughan is one of the best things about Outlander, the TV show based on Diana Gabaldon's bestselling book series. The Scottish actor plays Jamie, an 18th century Scottish warrior who woos Claire, a time-traveling woman. For many people, this has been their first introduction to Heughan, who, we learned from this DVD extra, was always the first choice to play Jamie. Nurture your Outlander crush with all the hottest pictures of Jamie, and then swoon over the sexy pictures of Heughan in real life!

Did You Ever Notice Princess Diana Was Obsessed With Blue Eyeliner?

Princess Diana was one of the most photographed women in the world, but there's one detail you probably didn't notice: she always wore blue eyeliner. It was her signature look and certainly very of-the-moment in the '80s. Her makeup artist Mary Greenwell, however, was not on board.

She admitted in an interview years later that she was the one who weaned Diana off the colored liner in favor of a more "soft" look. "Blue eyes should never wear blue pencil or shadow - it dulls your eyes," she said. We beg to differ. Even if Diana apparently "loved" the change and was "open minded about trying new looks," the blue eyeliner was such a fun beauty trademark (especially when you consider that being British royalty typically means being more conservative with personal style). At least we have photo evidence of her bold taste!

Here, look back at 15 times Diana stepped out in the blue eyeliner - it might make you want to ditch classic black for good.

A Toddler Who Was Left in a Hot Car in a Target Parking Lot Was Rescued in the Nick of Time

Guadalupe and Luis Paz were forced to act quickly when they spotted a toddler alone in a hot car in a Target parking lot during a heat wave that swept Southern California on Aug. 30.

After seeing movement in an unattended vehicle, Luis discovered a 2-year-old girl was inside and decided to break the window with his elbow. He called 911 after he observed signs of heat stroke.

The girl was left in the car during 106-degree weather and had a temperature of 103 degrees when she was rescued. The child's mother allegedly left her daughter unattended for 15 minutes with the windows slightly open while she ran into the store.

"In [the mother's] mindset, she was just going to run in and run back out of the store," Ontario Police Department Detective Melissa Ramirez said in an interview with NBC News. "She realized she made a poor decision when she saw officers on the scene."

The mother is now facing felony charges.

Thankfully for the little girl, the Pazes walked by in the nick of time. If the child was noticed any later, she may have not survived, according to local officials.

This New Marker-Inspired Lipstick Line Is a Pigment Addict's Holy Grail

As a woman whose collection of lipsticks could fill actual, literal buckets, it's rare that any one product holds my attention for long. That's why it's notable that Pinkie Swear's Clip Paints ($18) have earned a permanent spot in my purse since I first gave them a whirl about a month ago. Not only are the clickable, cream-matte pigments super saturated with color and ultramoisturizing (an exceedingly rare combo), but they also stay put in more ways than one. The marker-style packaging includes a handy clip that keeps each tube from rolling around and getting lost in the depths of my bag, and the color seriously does not quit. Added bonus? The brush tip is precise enough to easily create a flawless shape, sans liner, in the rearview mirror at a stoplight.

The author's three favorite Pinkie Swear shades, from left to right: Send Nudes, Loft Party, and Plan B.

For an idea of just how wonderfully stubborn this color is, take a look at the photos below. I took the picture on the left as I left home to head to work at 8:13 a.m., a little while after first applying Clip Paint in one of my favorite shades, Plan B. The photo in the middle was taken at the office at 9:20 a.m. after I'd had two cups of coffee. The photo on the right was snapped at 11:48 a.m. after I drank way, way more coffee. (I really like coffee.) I didn't even bother to reapply at all until I added a single swipe at my desk - just in case - after eating a huge, olive-oil-laden salad for lunch around 1 p.m.

The quality isn't surprising when you consider that the line of lip products is the brainchild of creative directors Claude Morais and Brian Wolk. The duo might be best known for their fashion design work, but they're no strangers to the beauty world, either. The runway nail art they debuted with their Spring 2011 Ruffian collection quickly became one of the year's biggest beauty trends, leading to collaborations with Birchbox and MAC. With Pinkie Swear, the pair set out to create high-impact colors in a fun, practical package. They imagine the Pinkie Swear fan as "a rebel, a dream maker, a misfit" who's "equally inspired strolling the streets of Hollywood [or] sifting through a flea market in Paris."

Also vital to the creative directors? Coming up with universal shades that would flatter any skin tone. "We knew that the colors in our palette needed to be selected based on their individual gorgeousness, just like the every member of the beauty community," Wolk and Morais told POPSUGAR in an email. "We wanted to unite through color, not divide, and we truly believe that beauty and creative self-expression are capable bringing people together."

A youthful, eclectic vibe is evident in those color choices, which range from a deep, electric pink (Plan B) to Barbie-esque lavender (Loft Party) to a delightfully mod nude beige (Send Nudes). The full set of six Pinkie Swear shades ($100) is packaged in silver foil inspired by Andy Warhol's factory, and an artsy influence is evident in everything about the brand; to celebrate the launch of the Pinkie Swear collective in LA, Wolk and Morais cohosted a charitable art exhibit with the brand's visual director, Mandy Mitchell.

We can also exclusively announce that Clip Gloss will be launching timed to the holidays!

Why Kat Von D Calls the Saint + Sinner Palette "My Next Go-To"

After almost a year of teases, Kat Von D Beauty's much-anticipated Saint + Sinner Eyeshadow Palette finally has a release date . . . sort of. During a YouTube Q&A, Kat Von D herself sat down to answer fan questions over Instagram. The topics ranged from "What books are you currently reading?" (Letting Go: The Pathway to Surrendering by David R. Hawkins) to "What advice would you give to someone who really wants to go vegan but loves cheese?" (look up sad animal videos on YouTube to quell your cravings). But it was the question Kat saved for last that truly was the best: "When will the Saint + Sinner Palette finally be released?!"

"Don't be sad!" Kat told fans in the video. "It's all about making sure that everything is super amazing for you guys before it gets in your hands." As for the date, Kat was hesitant to give specifics, but she said it "should launch for holiday." So basically, in a few months, we'll all have the cathedral-inspired work-of-art palette we've been waiting for.

But Kat didn't want to make us wait too long to see close-ups of the palette's prototype, which she says will be her "next go-to." According to Kat, "It has everything you need."

The colors are broken down into two themes. The Saint side is full of soft, subtle hues, and Sinner has the more dynamic, popping ones. As previously reported, this collection was inspired by how stained-glass windows reflect light, so we're hoping it will make us equally as shimmering just in time for holiday party season.

Disney Fans Will Adore Lip Smacker's New Villain-Themed Collection

Thanks to Lip Smacker, we now have adorably "evil" new lip balms to add to our growing Tsum Tsum collection. The spherical balms, based on our favorite Disney characters, got a spooky makeover for the second year in a row.

Last year, Lip Smacker blessed us with Nightmare Before Christmas Tsum Tsums just in time for Halloween. This year, Jack and Sally get some devilish new friends: Disney villains. Wicked ladies Maleficent, Ursula, and Cruella de Vil are all being added to the lineup.

If these fearsome characters aren't your style, don't worry. Lip Smacker also added a new Mickey and Minnie balm. Mickey got a festive makeover complete with vampire fangs, while Minnie is decked out in orange and purple hues.

Completely new to the Lip Smacker line are five nail polish shades. Each polish features the Tsum Tsum character on the top of the cap and comes in a color inspired by Ursula, Maleficent, Cruella, Jack, or Sally. Sally is a cream orange hue, Jack is black, and Cruella is a milky-white hue. Maleficent and Ursula are shimmery chrome shades in green and purple.

The collection is already available wherever Lip Smacker is sold but will soon be available online at Lip Smacker's website in late September.

The Trump White House Is Refusing to Commit to Putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 Bill

Remember the good old days when Harriet Tubman was about to be on our 20 dollar bill? It should come as no surprise, sadly, that Trump White House - an administration lauded by white supremacists and neo-Nazis - might not be prepared to honor the abolitionist and national hero in the way she so very much deserves.

During an interview with CNBC on Aug. 31, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was asked whether he would uphold the Barack Obama-era proposal to remove Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill and replace him with Harriet Tubman. "It's not something I'm focused on at the moment," Mnuchin responded, adding, "The number one issue why we change the currency is to stop counterfeiting. So the issues of what we change will be primarily related to what we need to do for security purposes."

Mnuchin's apparent refusal to commit to putting Tubman - who would be one of the very few women and the only African American to ever appear on US currency - on the $20 bill does nothing to quell outrage at an administration already perceived by many to be stoking racial tensions. That the treasury secretary's lackluster response so closely followed Donald Trump's failure to condemn white supremacists after the violence in Charlottesville, VA, was definitely not lost on Twitter.

Of course, Harriet Tubman will remain one of the greatest American heroes in history - regardless of whether she ends up on the $20 bill. But it is high time that black women's contributions to this country be celebrated appropriately, and stamping Harriet Tubman's legacy onto green bills certainly still seems like a great place to start.

Available at both the parks and online, Disney has really gone all out with the creative gifts, clothing, and decor inspired by the classic Tim Burton film. Halloween provides a chance for celebrities to put on their costumes, and once in a while, those getups are actually the guises of other well-known stars. And while there have been a bunch of pop star impersonators, there are plenty more including artists, cultural icons, and even reality stars.

Make Way for Foil Brows, the Boldest New Eyebrow Trend

Makeup artists on Instagram can't stop, won't stop pushing the boundary on beauty - and we love them for it. One look we've been seeing may just take squiggle brows' current spotlight: foil brows. It's part Tin Man, part the Hunger Games' Capitol, and totally head-turning.

Artists are using gold foil, aluminum foil, or any other reflective, shiny material to create faux eyebrows. Some choose to paste bits of foil along the arches' hairs, while others completely cover them up with cut-up foil pieces.

They're bold, bizarre, and hardly meant for everyday wear (but if you do dare, go you). That being said, Halloween is just around the corner, so there's a golden opportunity for you risk-averse beauty junkies. Get more inspiration, ahead.

Game of Thrones Slipped a GIANT Clue About Who the Night King Is Into the Finale

Spoilers for Game of Thrones below!

If you blinked at all during the riveting conclusion of the season seven finale of Game of Thrones, you might have missed a tiny but important detail. After the White Walkers begin making their way over the Wall once the Night King destroys it (ice dragons are incredibly useful when it comes to knocking down magical barriers, apparently), the thousands-strong horde of wights seems to fall into a familiar formation.

Instead of walking in a straight line or descending over the wreckage of the Wall in a random pattern, the White Walkers lead the pack in a design that looks a hell of a lot like House Stark's direwolf sigil, as pointed out by Twitter user thronesfacts. In this overhead shot of the army, the snout of the wolf starts on the left.

To be fair, it's not exact. For all we know, they could be lining up in the shape of the rainbow fish (not gonna lie, at first glance that's kind of what I saw). But it's striking enough that many fans are taking it as a subtle confirmation that the popular "Bran is the Night King" theory is legitimate (although there are a few other people he could be). After all, it's clear that Bran and the Head White Walker in Charge share a strong connection, we just don't know exactly what it is or what it means quite yet. Fortunately (or rather, unfortunately), we have until 2019 to try to figure it out!

Prince George's First Day of School Is Closer Than You Think

Prince George marked his fourth birthday on July 22, and with a new year comes new milestones. One of them is starting preparatory school. The young royal is set to attend Thomas's Battersea School, a private school in South London, on Sept. 7, Kensington Palace confirmed on Tuesday. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanying Prince George, will be met on arrival at the school by the Head of Lower School, Helen Haslem, who will then escort Their Royal Highnesses to Prince George's reception classroom," the palace said in a statement.

Thomas's School is about four miles from Will and Kate's home in Kensington Palace, and according to The Good Schools Guide, it is "a big, busy, slightly chaotic school for cosmopolitan parents who want their children to have the best English education money can buy." It focuses on "enjoyment, learning and achievement," and George will be among kids from several international backgrounds. Kate and Will are hoping to drop off George and pick him up from school "as much as possible," however, Thomas's School owns a "fleet of buses" that also picks up students from Kensington. George previously attended the Westacre Montessori School nursery.

Watch More Than 1,000 Robots Dance Their Way to a Guinness World Record

Some people think robots are terrifying and will soon control our lives. Others think of them as fun, adorable companions that can help out with household tasks. You can decide how you truly feel about them after watching 1,069 robots break a Guinness World Record for "most robots dancing simultaneously."

The record was broken in Guangzhou, Guangdong, on Aug. 18 by Dobi robots and WL Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. The robots look tiny people that can move, talk, and yes, even play football. Instead of exercising, though, these robots broke out in a synchronized dance routine.

Surprisingly, this wasn't the first time a record had been set; Ever Win Company & Ltd. received the title in 2016, with 1,007 robots dancing. Watch the full video above, and prepare to be mesmerized by their dance moves.

4 Important Networking Secrets You Won't Learn in Business School

I've always been a huge proponent of meeting new people, making connections, and then following up - but in the most personal and least sleazy way possible.

So I recently sent a client a bag of cat poop coffee.

Wait - what?!

Yep, you read that correctly: I sent him a $70 canister of genuine Kopi Luwak coffee, which contains coffee that has been digested and fermented by wild cats in Northern Thailand.

Why would I do such a thing? Well, the last time we met we had both read an article about said coffee, and agreed that we were two of the adventurous few dying to try it. We spent a good five minutes at the beginning of our meeting discussing how it was harvested and pondering what it might taste like. While the rest of our meeting went smoothly and productively, that one personal detail stood out to me. So I sent him a bag with my usual post-meeting thank-you note . . . and you better believe that I heard back from him right away.

It doesn't take an MBA to know that "savvy" and "schmoozy" are not the same thing. Here's how to work the room at your next conference, cocktail party, or career event - the right way:

1. Business Cards

Whether you're one of 1,000 employees or one of one, there's no excuse not to have a polished and professional business card. It's easy to do with the plug-and-chug business card creator on FedEx's website. Stick to colors and design elements that say something about you without being distracting; so, if pink really is your favorite color, use it as an accent on white and gray cards. Don't use a photo of yourself; it's cheesy, and chances are if the person has your card they've already met you in person.

2. Face Time

It's easy to get overwhelmed at large networking events, and there's something to be said for working the crowd. But there's also something to be said about being strategic with whom you spend your time. Do your homework by asking the event's coordinator for a brief rundown of who is going to be there, and then dig into their bios for relevant conversation points. (Don't forget to use Google Images, too, so you recognize them in a crowded room!) Then pick those 1-3 people out and make it a point to get a few minutes of conversation with them. Don't dominate their time; 5-10 minutes will suffice. These personal connections will go a lot farther than a quick handshake with every single person at the event.

3. Follow-Ups

Handwritten notes are a must, and not just to the person hosting the meeting but all attendees. Make a point to address each one by name and thank them for their time and energy. If you're going to send a thank-you gift, remember that "thoughtful" trumps fancy or expensive. If the person you met mentioned being a huge Dodgers fan, send them a Dodgers hat with your thank-you note. Or if they were gushing over the brownies served at the event where you met them, find out who made the brownies and then send them a box. They'll appreciate your thoughtfulness - and it will be a subtle reminder of your attention to detail.

4. Don't Forget the Small Guy

Whether you're networking at a large convention or just meeting someone one-on-one for coffee, remember that your actions toward the other people in the room speak volumes to who you really are as a person. Be kind and respectful to your waitress, the doorman, the coat check guy, and, of course, interns and assistants. After all, we all got our start somewhere - and your graciousness will leave the impression that you're willing to work with people regardless of the title on their business card.

At the end of the day, it's better to rely on personal touches than being overly aggressive or generous. Remembering the small stuff can have a huge impact - and be the thing that sets you apart.

Diana was and still is one of the most revered figures in pop culture - and is great inspiration for a classy costume. Here's how to dress as the incredible princess who changed the British royal family forever.

A Trainer Gets Brutally Honest About Why You Aren't Seeing Results

I have some tough love for you today. It's about your workouts. You go to the gym several times a week, sometimes twice in one day, and yet you aren't as fit as you should be.

As a certified group exercise trainer and indoor cycling instructor, I've taught hundreds of classes. Based on what I see, I think a lot of you are shortchanging yourself. Taking a step back and getting honest about your approach will help you work out smarter, and maybe even harder.

1. You Aren't Paying Attention

Some instructors are better than others, but let's assume you aren't wasting your time with bad trainers. When you go to a class, are you listening to what you are being asked to do? Do you pay attention to alignment cues in yoga? Do you check your form in weight training?

Listen to what the people in spandex wearing microphones are saying. They are certified experts who take continuing education classes and spend hours creating quality workouts. They have taken on the burden of exercise selection, interval timing, choreography, and sequencing.

Sometimes the key to success is recognizing that you can't get there on your own. You wouldn't ask an accountant to do your taxes and then scribble all over the return as she was filling it out would you? Trust your instructors. They want to get you there as badly as you do.

2. You Aren't Working Hard Enough

Here's a dose of tough love: instructors know how hard you are working, and that you aren't always tapping your potential.

Example: you are in an indoor cycling class and your instructor asks you to add resistance. Everyone adds gear, except for you because you don't want it to be "too hard." When the music picks up and the entire class is straining to get up that hill, there you are, pedaling like a demon, barely breaking a sweat.

Another example: you are in a weight-training situation and even though you've been doing the same moves for months, you're still using the same weights. You wonder why you aren't getting stronger. Guess what? You aren't challenging your muscles when you always choose the same weights. Pick up something heavier. What's the worst thing that can happen? It's too heavy and you have to switch to lighter weights to finish? Do that every time if you want to see results.

Final example: you are in a HIIT class. There are people that are going to go half-speed the entire time. And there are people that are going to stop working halfway through the interval. You know how I know? Because I CAN SEE THEM! Don't be self-conscious; no one is staring at you while you work out. But the instructor is scanning the room for safety reasons and can see how hard you're working. I promise that you'll see better results when you put in the effort.

3. You Aren't Competing With Yourself

Stop comparing yourself to the other people in class. Who knows what they had for breakfast? How many workouts a week they do when you don't see them? It's not about them. It's about you and what you can achieve. Whenever I teach class, I want my students thinking, "Today I am going to do more than I did last time. I am going to add more gear. I am going to hold my sprint longer. I am going to pick up the eight-pound dumbbell instead of the five."

You go to your classes to improve yourself. You have special strengths and abilities. You may struggle at push-ups but you can plank for two minutes. You may have spaghetti arms but can crush squats all day long. Be you. Don't worry about anyone else. Stay on your own mat, mentally and physically. Your fitness will blossom.

4. You Don't Accept What You Can't Change

You have to set reasonable expectations. You can't do 1,000 burpees in 10 minutes and you will never change the biology of your body. If you're bottom heavy, you will likely always trend that way when gaining weight. If all the women in your family get saggy underarms by the time they are 40, you probably will too. However, you can tone and shape that bottom, heavy or not. You can strengthen and tighten your triceps to help that underarm sag. But remember: there is no amount of exercise that will completely transform you into someone else - and you shouldn't want it to. You were made to be you, unique and special. You can be the best you possible, and that should be your goal. Once you accept that, you can stop fighting your body and start working with it to achieve your goals.

5. You Reward Workouts With Food

We all do it. Now that I've worked out, I can go have that bin of pasta I've been craving. I can hit the drive-through for that burger and fries "because I've earned it." You haven't though. You've earned the right to refuel your body. You've worked so hard to achieve a higher level of fitness, to lose weight, to feel good about yourself. And yet you sabotage it, sometimes daily, by rewarding your workouts with food.

It's time we stepped back from food. Instead of it becoming a reward system, it should be a means to an end. The reward for the work is not a consumable. It's an intangible. It comes from within us. It's called pride. Satisfaction. Self-confidence. You can't get those things from a drive-through. If you want the burger, eat it. But don't confuse yourself about why you are having it. You haven't "earned" it. You've allowed it. And that's OK, once in a while. The next time you see that neon sign calling to you, though, think about where you are really headed, physically, and whether that detour is worth it on your path to well-being. If not, keep driving.

Best of luck on your path to greater health and wellness. Remember, you can start each day fresh. Take each class like it's your last. And be kind to yourself: you've only got the one body, so help it go the distance.

Everything You Need to Know About Hurricane Irma

Less than a week after Hurricane Harvey - and before the devastating storm has even fully cleared out of the continental United States - another massive tropical storm brewing in the Atlantic, Irma, has been upgraded to a hurricane. And Hurricane Irma might be headed our way.

While meteorologists are predicting that the storm is at the very least a week away from landfall, hurricane expert Dan Kottlowski told Accuweather that "Irma is likely to become a major hurricane and could become a Category 4 well before it reaches the Lesser Anteilles." We'll continue to monitor developments as and when they happen and update this story, but here's what we know as of Aug. 31:

  • Hurricane Irma is currently a Category 3 storm, with winds reaching 115 mph. It's moving slowly, though, in the north-northwest direction at around 12 miles per hour. Here's what the wind speeds look like as of 4:30 on Aug. 31:
  • It's hard to say where the storm will head at this stage - models typically can't predict a storm's full trajectory when it's more than a week away - so experts will be able to speak to the expected landfall at some point over the holiday weekend. Research states that storms which form close to the equator - specifically at the Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ - are likely to develop a higher amount of strength and velocity, so we'll definitely be keeping an eye on the area. NOAA is currently tracking the direction of the hurricane as follows:

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information becomes available.

Here's the Cast of American Horror Story: Cult

Information about season seven of American Horror Story has been rolling in! While last season was (unfairly) shrouded in mystery until the premiere, we actually have more morsels about season seven since this year's Comic-Con, including the new title, premiere date, and details from Ryan Murphy himself. A few regular cast members have gotten on-board, but there are also some newbies we were really not expecting (Lena Dunham?!). We'll update you with more casting news as it's revealed, but for now, take a look at the returning alums and fresh faces.

Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor Didn't Start Dating Until Almost a Decade After They Met

Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor first started dating in 2015 (much to the excitement of fans), but they've actually known each other for quite some time. Nearly a decade ago, the pair met at a dinner party when the American Horror Story star was still in a long-term relationship with actress Cherry Jones. Even though she was taken at the time, Sarah said she couldn't help but think that Holland was "the most exquisitely beautiful woman" she'd ever seen.

A few years later, fate intervened when they crossed paths again and recorded videos for Martha Plimpton's nonprofit organization, A Is For. They started following each other on social media, one flirty direct message led to another, and they decided to go on a dinner date. And, well, the rest is history. Even though there is a 32-year age gap between the women, it's clear they share a special bond. "There's a poignancy to being with someone older," Sarah said. "I think there's a greater appreciation of time and what you have together and what's important, and it can make the little things seem very small."

Look Back at Heidi Klum's Outrageous Halloween Costume Tradition

Halloween just wouldn't be the same without Heidi Klum's over-the-top annual bash, which she's hosted in both New York and Los Angeles. The location and the date (in 2012, she rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy) may have changed over the years, but one thing we can always count on is Heidi showing up in an extravagant costume. 2016 was no different as she celebrated in NYC, dressed as herself along with five model doppelgängers. In years past, she's made appearances as a mouse, a gorilla, and a seriously convincing old lady, and she's gotten decked out in outrageous getups that can't really be explained. Scroll through to see all of Heidi's wild wardrobe choices for the holiday!

Colton Haynes Makes a Searing Point About Being an Out Gay Man in Hollywood

This week, Colton Haynes fired off a series of heated tweets about being gay in Hollywood, calling the industry "so f*cked up." "So much of the focus is on your personal life & has nothing to do with the talent you have to bring to the table," he wrote on Tuesday. There doesn't necessarily seem to be any sort of event precipitating the tweets - at least, not on the outside. But seeing as Colton came out last May in an Entertainment Weekly profile, it's highly likely he's faced his fair share of adversity in the time since. After all, the fact that it's difficult to be an out gay man or lesbian in Hollywood is no secret.

Plenty of stars have opened up about the huge stigma surrounding the LGBTQ+ community in Hollywood. Rock Hudson, who rose to fame in the '60s and died from AIDS-related causes in the '80s, never publicly came out because it was so controversial. According to Lee Garlington, who dated Hudson for a few years at the height of his fame, "Nobody in their right mind came out. It was career suicide. We all pretended to be straight."

"Nobody in their right mind came out. It was career suicide. We all pretended to be straight."

Ellen DeGeneres just celebrated the 20th anniversary of her sitcom's coming-out episode, which also marked her personal coming out. To honor the occasion, she spoke to her audience about how taboo it was, saying, "I can't describe to you how challenging it was to get this episode made. At the time, it was so controversial."

Now, in 2017, the stigma hasn't changed much at all. Amber Heard came out as bisexual in March despite revealing that "everyone around me strongly advised me against it." In 2016, Chiwetel Ejiofor posited that it might be harder to be gay in Hollywood than it is to be black in Hollywood. "I think sexuality is still marginalized in a way that is pretty open," he said in 2016.

In another tweet, Colton disparaged these same Hollywood tendencies, adding echoes to decades-old frustrations. At this point, it's clear Colton is joining the chorus of people who are hoping to speak out and change the way things work in Hollywood. Luckily for him, there are some strong allies on his side. In a second tweet, he went on: "Thank god for Ryan Murphy, Greg Berlanti, & Jeff Davis. They believe gay actors are more than just their personal lives." Colton is referring to the creators of American Horror Story, Arrow, and Teen Wolf, respectively, all of whom have cast him in various TV roles.

In the end, it might take more than forward-thinking and progressive directors to change the tides. We need more actors to come out in order to more actively normalize sexuality. As Amber put it, "If every gay man that I know personally came out in Hollywood tomorrow . . . then this would be a non-issue in a month. We'd be hard-pressed to point the finger at anyone."

Everything You Need to Know About the Iron Throne's History

One of the main plot points of Game of Thrones is the question of who should rightfully sit on the Iron Throne. Dubbed King or Queen of the Andals and the First Men, that person rules the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. But with all the commotion about who has the strongest claim to rule, there isn't a lot of talk about the Iron Throne itself. Sure, we all know it looks like it'd hurt to sit on with all those swords sticking out in every direction, but how did it get such a unique appearance anyway?

"The Wolf and the Dragon" introduces us to a very important Aegon Targaryen. However, there's an entirely different Aegon linked to the Iron Throne's history - because, just FYI, there are a billion Aegon Targaryens. Long before the events of the series, the seven kingdoms in Westeros were independent. After taking over six of them (the outlier, Dorne, was later added to the mix through a marriage alliance), Aegon the Conquerer became the first King of the Andals and the First Men and the first king of Targaryen lineage. And every king needs a throne to sit on, so why not go for the most intimidating design ever?

The swords that make up the Iron Throne are real. Legend has it that they're the swords of the lords who swore fealty to Aegon, but they were melted down by his dragon, Balerion the Black Dread. In the books, the throne is forged from 1,000 swords, but the show's version has considerably less. Still, it looks super daunting and uncomfortable. No matter who ends up sitting on it by the end of the series, he or she will almost certainly feel like a badass doing so.

This 1 Line From Jon's Speech to Theon Will Have a Huge Impact on Season 8

To say that Jon Snow and Theon Greyjoy have a complicated relationship on Game of Thrones would be an understatement. Although the two grow up considering each other brothers, Theon greatly betrays the Stark family in ways that even rescuing Sansa from the horrible Ramsay can't make up for. When Theon and Jon first come face to face again in season seven, you can practically feel the tension through the screen, and it all comes pouring out during the season finale when the two share a powerful conversation.

After returning from King's Landing, where Jon refuses to acknowledge Cersei Lanninster as his queen, Theon asks Jon for a moment to speak. He praises the King in the North for his honesty and commends him for his ability to always do the right thing. But toward the end of their conversation, Jon advises the clearly broken Theon about making the right decision for his family and saving his sister, Yara.

"You don't need to choose," Jon says of Theon's conflicting emotions. "You're a Greyjoy, and you're a Stark."

This family-focused line from Jon will stretch a lot further in season eight, according to Reddit user MoralMidgetry. The fan pointed out that this is not only Jon speaking to Theon but also Jon speaking to his future self next season when he eventually finds out that he's a Targaryen. One of the biggest cliffhangers from the season seven finale is how Jon might react to the overwhelming revelation that he's not a bastard (thank you, Gilly), his name is actually Aegon Targaryen, and, oh yeah, he also just had sex with his aunt. It sounds like a lot of information to handle at once, but as Theon so clearly points out in their conversation, Jon "always knows what is right."

For his entire life, Jon believes he's Ned Stark's bastard son, but this prelude to next season implies that Jon will not have to choose between his Stark family and his Targaryen blood any longer. It's admittedly making us hopeful for the peaceful possibilities between the two houses. As for Theon, only time will tell if he's successful in rescuing Yara, but one thing is for sure: we're seeing a courageous and purposeful side to him that we weren't sure even existed anymore.

Elliot's Life Spins Out of Control in Mr. Robot's Season 3 Trailer

Are you ready to get paranoid? Mr. Robot's season three trailer has arrived, and it'll have your stomach in knots for every second of its minute-and-a-half run time. Between shots of Elliot (Rami Malek) and his hoodie looking more frantic than ever (which is saying something), ominous quips about the Dark Army going rogue and Evilcorp's war on society, and intriguing appearances from Christian Slater and Joey Bada$$ (OK), the third installment is going to be out of control. Check it out above before Mr. Robot returns to USA on Oct. 11.

An Evil Genius Swapped Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un's Hair and We Can't Look Away

Hairswap

President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un may be dominating the news right now with a looming threat of all-out war, but it certainly isn't keeping the internet from poking a bit of fun at the two superpowerful men. And if the above photo is any indication, the games have just begun.

A Reddit user posted a diptych of Trump and Jong-un with their hair meticulously swapped on Aug. 10, coinciding with the publication of French magazine Libération's take on the very same idea, and it features an outstandingly blond, Trump-ified version of the North Korean leader. The emergence of these memes is in line with a larger trend of face swapping and hair swapping the men and women we see on TV all the time, which began in earnest in the lead-up to the 2012 election and has evolved as the years have progressed. Here, we see the natural evolution of the swap: making everyone - and everything - look like our wispy-haired, strangely-colored president.

It's only a matter of time before we get a Trump face swap Snapchat filter, but until then, you can work your own magic online in the Trump's Hair tool. And if you're anything like us, you'll be gazing at this downright terrifying yet unbearably fascinating photo all day long.

Modern and Modest: Hijabi Athleisure and Activewear

If you go to any activewear store, you'll notice a lot of the same stuff - skintight leggings, strappy sports bras (and bralettes), racerback tanks, and compression shorts. For some women, this is awesome: more ways to show off the body you've been working on!

But the truth of the matter is, not everyone wants to bare it all. Whether it's for religious or moral reasons, or you're just not comfortable in something so tight and revealing, it seems as though there are very few modest options in today's modern activewear lineup (some more hope, however, might be coming soon!).

To get some more perspective on this, I interviewed my fashionista friend Sabha, who happens to be Muslim, wears a hijab, and adheres to one of the most modest standards of dress. I typically see Sabha in a fabulous scarf (sparkles are common), ultrastylish boots, and, on special occasions, beautiful floor-length gowns with glittering long-sleeved tops underneath a strapless neckline. But I was dying to know - what does she wear to work out?

In addition to crafting sporty outfits with her own unique sense of style, she looks to Olympian and fellow hijabi, Ibtihaj Muhammad. Layering is key, and loose, lightweight silhouettes are a go-to.

She also reminded us that every woman who wears the hijab has her own guidelines for what she is comfortable with. "It's important not to judge or place standards onto any woman, because it can be a daily struggle for a lot of us, especially when you live somewhere that's never seen hijab before, or in a neighborhood that has preconceived notions of Muslims or Muslim women."

So if you've been struggling to find fashionable, modest athleisure or activewear, we've got some amazing suggestions for you, straight from a "hijabista."

The Best Yoga Gear For All of Your Needs - and We Want It

If you've been showing up to your evening Vinyasa class in the same pair of workout tights you've been hanging onto for years, it might be time for an upgrade. Working out in ill-fitting gear is not only a distraction (pulling at the waistline, much?), but it might also actually be a mobility barrier if you're trying to work on flexibility - certain fabric works better than others for yoga. So whether you're a seasoned pro or total newbie, here are our favorite yoga pieces to wear right now.

How to Raise a Baby in a Small Apartment

Kids require a lot of things. Certainly there are people who can provide for their kids in a minimalistic way, and even if you abstain from buying any toys and keep clothes simple, you will still end up with more stuff then you've ever imagined. This is because of a little known secret about children: they get bigger.

While they keep growing, clothes, toys, and gear that was once desperately needed suddenly needs to be tucked away. When you have a small house, the sheer amount of things that babies need can quite frankly feel suffocating. With limited space, it's even more important to make some careful considerations when determining what to register for, where to put things, and what kind of home you want for your family.

I've been raising my son in a relatively small house. Our city apartment felt cramped when it was just my husband and me, but with our son, we had to be careful about everything we bought and how we decorated. Having a baby should be a joyous occasion, not one that raises concerns over how the baby is going to fit into a space. With a little planning and accommodation, that tiny house will feel like a palatial home.

Ahead, eight tips to help you raise a baby in a small apartment.

20 #MomStruggles That Only Parents Can Truly Understand

Despite the pretty picture that many Instagram feeds paint of an edited version of parenthood, being a mom or dad is messy. It's dirty, it's sticky, it can be smelly, and it's also uniquely beautiful - in an organized chaos kind of way. So if you ever feel like you're all alone, remember that the struggle is very real, and don't let the filters fool you. Check out these Instagram-worthy parenting problems that all moms go through (and hopefully find the humor in!).

The Genius Thing Princess Diana Did to Bond With the Public

Diana, Princess of Wales, may have had her HRH title removed when she divorced Prince Charles in 1996, but she'd already made clear in her famous Panorama interview the previous year that she would rather be the "queen of people's hearts." She had already filled that role for millions of people around the world for years, and it was no accident. When Diana joined the royal family on her wedding day in 1981, she was barely 20 years old and found many of the traditions stuffy and outdated. So she went about breathing new life into the institution.

One of the most important ways she did that was in her interactions with members of the public. She understood the importance of breaking down barriers very quickly, and she made a conscious effort to bond with them. But how did she do this? The answer is so simple it's genius: by watching soap operas! She told the author Andrew Morton, "If I go out and about, whether it be to Birmingham, Liverpool or Dorset, I can always pick up on a TV program and you are on the same level." She added, "That I decided for myself. It works so well. Everybody watches it and I say, 'Did you see so and so? Wasn't it funny when this or that happened?' You are not the princess and they the general public - it's the same level."

Her method clearly worked, and she would always have people in the crowds laughing along with her in an instant. She also liked to wear disguises so that she could mingle with the public in the outside world. She would wear a black wig when she wanted to go out incognito, and she once allowed Freddie Mercury to dress her as a man so she could go to a gay bar.

Diana also made it her mission to instill a sense of normalcy in her sons' lives and made sure they did the same things as other children their age. After she picked them up from school, they would often pop into the local supermarket Sainsbury's for a bag of Twiglets snacks. She gave the boys pocket money and would take them to The London Dungeon, the zoo, and the cinema. At Christmas, they waited in line like the other children to meet Santa at the department store Selfridge's.

When then-Prime Minister Tony Blair referred to Diana as "The People's Princess" after her death 20 years ago, he identified exactly what she was to so many. She would no doubt be proud that her sons are continuing what she started. Earlier this year, in an interview with GQ, Prince William revealed he will be taking the same parenting approach with his own children that his mother did with him: "I want George to grow up in a real, living environment, I don't want him growing up behind palace walls, he has to be out there. I will fight for them to have a normal life."

Why Ireland's Cliffs of Moher Are the Ultimate Must-See Destination

Oh, Ireland. From its captivating, craggy coastlines to its alluring, pristine landscapes, there is no denying this European island in the North Atlantic is one of the most special places to visit in the world. And while the entire country oozes with enchantment, if you want to experience real magic, you've got to make your way to the infamous Cliffs of Moher.

When my husband and I were plotting our itinerary for exploring Ireland, I demanded - in the nicest way possible, of course! - these cliffs make the cut. Because how can you venture around the Irish countryside and not make the five-hour-out-of-the-way drive to these majestic cliffs? Am I right? As you can probably guess, our journey was a bit long - especially along the narrow, bumpy, countryside roads - but oh so worth it. Taking in the views from this natural wonder was one of the most surreal moments I have ever experienced, to say the least. So if an Irish adventure is in your near future, or simply on your life bucket list, I highly recommend squeezing in time for the Cliffs of Moher. No matter the length of the drive, you won't regret it. Just take a look for yourself . . .

The White House Renovations Are Done – and They're Actually Not Bad

While Donald Trump was on vacation at his golf club in New Jersey, big changes were happening at the White House. With round-the-clock work, several of the presidential abode's most public spaces were given a facelift in just two weeks. We knew the Trumps planned a design overhaul from the get-go, and we got a peek at the recent renovation in process, but now we're finally seeing the changes that were made. It turns out they're not half bad, and apparently, most of the $3.4 million of improvements were approved before Obama left office. Check out the completed White House renovations ahead.
