Next in Fashion: Meet the Hosts and Guest Judges of Netflix's Hot New Series

It seems that Netflix truly can read our fashion-obsessed minds, with the launch of Next in Fashion coming at the end of this month (on Jan. 29, to be exact). Following the success of Project Runway and Under the Gunn, the streaming behemoth has finally embraced the format of a creative reality competition, which will hopefully introduce us to some fresh, fashionable faces, while also giving us access to watch some of the industry's finest working alongside them.

Billed as Netflix's first fashion show, the content will be trend-focused and incorporate global perspectives on the how, what, and why concerning our fashion choices. With a stellar lineup expected, we thought we would introduce you to the two confirmed hosts of the competition, as well as the first two guest judges who have been announced (this is by no means the final list) who will be guiding 18 contestants through their journey to win a $250,000 prize and a debut collection with Net-A-Porter. Without further ado, here are Netflix's cream of the styling crop!

Calculate Your Breakdown Accordingly: Here's When the Schitt's Creek Series Finale Will Air

Schitt's Creek is officially in its final season, and we're not ready to say goodbye to the Roses! All good things must come to an end - but when will that official ending be? Schitt's Creek has not yet made a formal announcement of its series finale date, but we think we've got a pretty good idea of when the beloved comedy will be wrapping things up.

The sixth and final season premiered on Jan. 7, airing one episode per week on PopTV in the US and CBC in Canada. Just like the previous season, there will be a total of 14 episodes in season six. Assuming that there are no doubleheaders on the schedule, that would put the series finale on Tuesday, April 14. Some shows do multi-episode finales, using back-to-back episodes for extended finales, and if Schitt's Creek chooses to do that, then the finale would presumably air a week earlier, on Tuesday, April 7. Starting in March, Schitt's Creek will have some sitcom company on Tuesday nights, too: the fourth season of One Day at a Time (rescued by Pop after Netflix cancelled it) will begin airing after Schitt's Creek starting in March.

As Schitt's Creek comes to an end, the Roses and their friends are getting ready to embark on new journeys. So far, the season has included separate storylines for everyone. Moira (Catherine O'Hara) is plotting how best to take advantage of her film comeback on a Netflix-esque streaming platform, while Johnny (Eugene Levy) considers expanding the motel business and Stevie (Emily Hampshire) debates whether or not she wants to pursue a life outside the Rosebud Motel. Meanwhile, both Rose children are taking new steps in their relationships: Alexis (Annie Murphy) has hit a delay in joining Ted (Dustin Milligan) in the Galapagos, which means she's around while David (Dan Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reid) plan their wedding. We can't wait to see how these beloved characters will end up, but that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye.

The Bachelor Couples: Where Are They Now?

The anticipation of finding out who Pilot Pete will give his final rose to on season 24 of The Bachelor has us reminiscing about those early Bachelor seasons and wondering what the couples are up to now. Most importantly, who are they seeing and what are their relationship statuses? We all know the group of former contestants from the reality TV dating show is an incestuous bunch, and it can be difficult to keep track of who's with whom. So we're breaking it down from the beginning to give you the scoop on where the last couples standing from each of the 23 seasons of The Bachelor are now. And in case you missed it, the previous Bachelor, Colton Underwood, ended up with Cassie Randolph after a dramatic season finale, and they're still going strong! See if all the other couples made it out this happy and lived out their Bachelor fairy tale, or if their love was only made for the screen. The final rose is just the beginning . . .

Oregon Star Sabrina Ionescu Dedicates Her Season to Friend Kobe Bryant: "I Do It For Him"

The sports world is still in shock after the Jan. 25 helicopter crash and fire that killed nine people, including basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. The former NBA star had a profound impact on fans and athletes around the globe, and messages of grief, disbelief, and love continue to flow from all corners of the sports world, including tributes at NBA games and emotional shows of support from tennis players at the Australian Open.

The No. 3 Oregon women's basketball team was preparing for a rivalry game against Oregon State when news of Kobe's death reached the locker room. The loss was personal for Oregon's star senior Sabrina Ionescu, who had become "close personal friends" with Kobe and the Bryant family over the past few years, according to Ducks head coach Kelly Graves. "They're communicating several times a week. They're friends," he said in a postgame press conference. Kobe and Gianna sat courtside when Oregon played USC last January and visited the locker room afterwards, where Kobe told the players that Gianna dreamed of playing for Oregon one day. (In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in October 2018, he added that she ultimately hoped to make it to the WNBA.)

Sabrina was absent during on-court warm-ups for the game at Oregon State, with ESPN reporting that she spent time with her family, coaches, and a teammate. ESPN spoke with Sabrina's father before the game, who shared some of the conversation he had with her after she learned of the news. "Of all the times you worked with him, of all the phone calls, you deserve to play for him and his legacy," he said. "Go out and do it today. Go out and play for Kobe." Sabrina eventually appeared on court for the national anthem and a moment of silence for Kobe, Gianna, and the other victims of the accident, visibly holding back tears. She started in the game as well, with Kelly telling reporters that she never would sit out, despite the personal loss. "I think she would have thought, 'Kobe wouldn't [sit out]. He would have played.' Because he was maybe the best, most intense player we've ever seen."

After Oregon's victory, Sabrina gave a brief, emotional on-court interview in which she dedicated her senior season to Kobe. "Everything I do, I do it for him," she told ESPN. "Obviously, [he was] a really close friend. This season's for him."

1995 Called, and Honestly, It's Really Proud of These Beauty Looks From the Oscars

The '90s truly were an iconic time for beauty-lovers. Both the great trends - like grungy eye shadow and brown-nude lips - and the not-so-great (see: overplucked eyebrows) gifted us with some very memorable red carpet moments, including the many on the 1995 Oscars red carpet. Twenty-five years ago, berry-toned lips, dark - but thin - brows, and hair that had been sitting in rollers all day was the look that every celeb wanted to emulate. Actresses like Rita Wilson, Kelly Preston, and even a 13-year-old Anna Paquin kept their skin natural and porcelain-like, but they added a bit of oomph with a darker berry lipstick. And, of course, who can forget Sarah Jessica Parker's perfectly bouncy coif? Here are some of our favorite beauty looks from the 1995 Academy Awards.

What Netflix's The Goop Lab Gets Wrong About Mental Health and Traditional Therapy

Gwyneth Paltrow's wellness brand Goop now has a docuseries on Netflix, and while The Goop Lab pushes boundaries in many ways, the show's habit of casually minimizing traditional therapies for depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress is by far the most dangerous part.

The series kicks off with an episode in which Goop staffers travel abroad to take psychedelics, many in hopes of addressing issues like unresolved grief and trauma. But the experts featured in the episode gloss over the potential risks of these drugs, and neglect to mention that the overwhelming consensus in the medical community is that treatments like psychedelic therapy should only be used when all traditional therapeutic methods have been exhausted. Instead, they cast antidepressants as having "terrible side effects," without acknowledging that nearly any medication can and that this doesn't make them any less essential. One of the men at the psychedelic retreat laments that "talk therapy" - an extremely vague and misleading term - had been ineffective for him, because every time he attempts to talk about his trauma, he has a panic attack.

After experiencing a series of traumatic events in middle school, I began to exhibit symptoms of PTSD and anxiety. I was in eighth grade when my mom took me to my first therapy appointment and, in the years since, I've worked with a number of therapists and tried several methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). The first two involve a lot of talking, but they're focused on developing skills to reframe negative thought patterns and behaviors, not venting to your therapist about your problems for 45 minutes, as The Goop Lab's repeated references to "talk therapy" would seem to imply.

Like the man in the series, I also struggled to verbalize the graphic details of my trauma. That's why I turned to EDMR; it didn't require me to talk through it, which was a game changer. As someone who's experienced with therapy, I was left wondering if this man had ever tried it for himself. If I weren't so familiar, I would have walked away from The Goop Lab under the impression that there's one form of conventional therapy and, if it doesn't work for you, you might as well book a psychedelic therapy retreat, because what other options do you have, really? At the conclusion of the episode, another Goop staffer says she feels like she's undergone "five years of therapy in five hours" - a combination of hyperbole and a temporary "rush," perhaps, but damaging nonetheless.

The truth is that there is no quick fix for mental illness. Traditional forms of therapy sometimes do require years of work.

The truth is that there is no quick fix for mental illness. Traditional forms of therapy sometimes do require years of work, and like me, people often find themselves trying different therapy techniques, practitioners, and yes, even medications before striking the right balance. Personally, I also keep prescription Valium on hand so I can take it during a panic attack, a decision my psychiatrist and I discussed at length. (While I'm continuing to work with a therapist on ways to manage my panic attacks, I consider any potential side effects of the medication a worthwhile trade-off for now.)

I think it's important to acknowledge that some people do try every treatment option available without seeing any significant improvement, and for them, alternative therapies may very well be the path forward. But to diminish conventional forms of therapy - or even demonize them, as The Goop Lab seems to in a later episode, when an expert implicates that they're responsible for his wife's death by suicide - is irresponsible and a disservice to those with years of trauma, anxiety, and grief still left to unpack.

Lizzo Turns Heads at the Grammys, and We Refuse to Look Away

Lizzo made a truly dazzling appearance at Sunday's Grammys in Los Angeles. The 31-year-old singer stepped out and turned heads as she rocked a Diana Ross-inspired white Versace gown with silver details and a sexy slit. She complemented the look with a fur wrap and accessorized with a layered necklace and a simple ring.

It was a memorable evening for the songstress, who received seven nominations. While her chart-topper "Truth Hurts" earned nods as record of the year, song of the year, and best pop solo performance, her LP Cuz I Love You was a contender for album of the year, and the deluxe edition received a mention in the best urban contemporary album category. She's also in the running for best new artist, and her song "Exactly How I Feel" with Gucci Mane is a potential recipient of the best R&B performance award. Keep reading to see all the photos from her glamorous night out!

Priyanka Chopra's Dress Plunge Immediately Made Me Say "OMFG"

But of course Priyanka Chopra was there to support hubby Nick Jonas at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Ahead of walking the red carpet, Pri posted a sneak peek on Instagram, making it very clear that the evening was all about Nick. "This guy. #Grammys2020," she wrote. Sure, it might be about Nick, the dude in the gold Zegna suit, but Priyanka's dress - I mean, damn. There's just no way the cameras won't immediately point to Priyanka when the couple arrives. The actress wore a hand beaded Ralph & Russo gown with an incredible plunge that goes deep into J Lo territory - you know, all the way down to there. The intricate embellishments and plunge on Priyanka's gown were not enough, clearly, so the jaw-dropping fringe off her sleeves and the pendant at the center of the bodice sealed the deal. Priyanka accessorized with chandelier earrings and her makeup was more glowy and dewy than ever before. This right here, this is why we watch out for the unbeatable style at the Grammys.

I Finally Figured Out How to Use a Hair Wand Thanks to This Cordless Miracle Worker

I've always found the monotonous activity of curling my hair to be soothing, but when the beauty market became overrun by trendy hair wands, I was left scratching my head. I'm not particularly clumsy, but I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to wrap strands of my hair around a 360-degree cylinder that was rotated upside-down without burning the ever-loving sh*t out of my wrists and fingers. Was everyone around me born with the coordination needed for these clamp-less irons?

Turns out, it's not the lack of clamp that's been throwing me off - it's the cord. You know why lightsabers are such effective weapons? No cords. Just a big ol' stick of energy.

The same is true for the Unplugged Beauty 1" Rose Gold Curling Iron. The barrel is a lovely hue of rose gold, but it comes in both matte white and gloss black handle versions. There are three components in the box: the tool itself, a heat-proof rubber sheath to use when you want to toss your iron in your bag, and a charging cord. The temperature, displayed on a digital face, goes up to 400 degrees, though you probably won't need to max it out. Just like your phone, it takes two to three hours to fully charge. Unlike your phone, the power lasts for around 40 minutes. But do you really need more than 40 minutes to curl your hair?

My wand came partially charged, so I fired it up to 350 and got to curling. I can't emphasize enough how much easier the process was without an obtrusive cord dangling down. Once I got the pattern down - secure a section, twist around the barrel, and hold until my fingers were just barely off the iron - it only took 15 minutes to curl my entire head. Dare I say, I looked fabulous. Seriously, look.

Lizzo's Nail Art at the Grammys Proves That Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

When it's the 62nd Grammy Awards and you're nominated eight times, you go big or you go home - and Lizzo's look tonight proves it. The "Truth Hurts" singer hit the red carpet tonight and the spotlight immediately shifted her way. Why? She looked like a star dripping in diamonds, literally. Not only was her neck decorated with two loops of sparkling jewelry, but so was the bodice of her all-white Atelier Versace dress. But like we said, nominee went big and extended her frosty accessories down to her milky-white nail art.

It's no surprise Lizzo made the executive decision to try the monochromatic white look for the evening. In fact, white nail polish has been trending since the Summer and Lizzo is never afraid to take a bold approach with her beauty (see: her gold nugget nails). What makes this look special is that her manicure isn't just stunning, it's also iced out with decadent jewels literally dangling from the tips of her fingers. Talk about the look of a winner.

Turns out, that was the point. Inspired by her eight Grammy nominations, celebrity manicurist Eri Ishizu created a "glitter 8" design on each nail. She used a combo of two nail polish colors - Christian Louboutin Nail Color The Nudes in Madame Est Nue ($50) and Christian Louboutin Nail Color Metalinudes ($50) - and dangling crystals to create the look.

Whether Lizzo wins her Grammy tonight, we're adding this mani to her best nail looks list.

After earning her first-ever Grammys in 2019, Ariana is nominated for a whopping five awards this time around, including record of the year for "Seven Rings" and album of the year for Thank U, Next. Oh, and she's also set to grace the stage for what's sure to be a glorious performance during the star-studded event. Ahead, see all the sweet photos of Ariana with her cute fam on the red carpet, along with a few snaps of her striking funny poses in her enormous dress. Let's hope she doesn't lose her glass slipper on the way home!

You've Been Pronouncing Timothée Chalamet's Name Wrong This Whole Time

Timothée Chalamet just keeps getting more and more buzz every year. He's starred in huge movies like 2019's Little Women and Call Me by Your Name, which really got everyone talking about him in 2017. But we have some big news for you - you've probably been pronouncing his name wrong all along.

Timothée was born and raised in America, but his father is from France, which explains his unique name. Despite the accent mark, he pronounces his first name how you would imagine - "Timothy." However, he has said in various interviews that's supposed to be "Tim-o-tay," not Timothy. Sounds like he's fine with you saying it either way, though!

The actor's last name is a tad bit trickier. You may have been thinking it's "Shal-met" or even "Chal-met," but it has way more flair. Thankfully, back in 2014, when he was starring in Showtime's Homeland, Timothée was interviewed by Teen Vogue where he offered up a proper pronunciation of his name. Say it with us everyone, it's "Shal-uh-may." Not too hard, right?

According to houseofnames.com, Chalamet is a noble French surname. The name originates from the Lorraine area of France. As for Timothée, the French variation of the English name means "honoring God."

Timothée's parents appear to have given him the best of both worlds when he was growing up. The young actor was born and raised in New York City, but he speaks French fluently. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Timothée revealed he spent his Summers in France when he was growing up. His experience with one of the romance languages paid off when he decided to learn how to speak Italian for Call Me by Your Name.

Now you can confidently talk about Timothée with everyone while raving about Little Women or complaining about his tiny mustache that he's working on!

The Jonas Brothers Have a Triple Date Night With Their Wives at the Grammys

The Jonas Brothers had the support of their respective wives as they attended the Grammys on Sunday night. The group, who is up for best pop duo/group performance for "Sucker," looked super dapper as they hit the red carpet together. Nick and Priyanka Chopra wore shimmery ensembles, Joe and Sophie Turner rocked darker shades, and Kevin and Danielle Jonas mix-matched with gold and silver looks. The appearance marks their first Grammys together in over a decade. In addition to their nomination, they are also set to perform a brand-new track following the release of their single "What a Man Gotta Do." See more pictures of their appearance ahead.

What Happened to the Man Who Defrauded Millions From McDonald's? Here's What We Know

Before Anna Delvey, Elizabeth Holmes, or the women portrayed in Hustlers, there was one scammer by the name of Jerome Jacobson. Known as Uncle Jerry, he defrauded McDonald's of $24 million with an elaborate network that took advantage of the fast-food franchise's popular Monopoly game. HBO has geared up to drop McMillions, a Mark Wahlberg-produced docuseries about this notorious scandal. So, after scamming one of the biggest corporations in the world, where is Jacobson today? From what we know, he's been keeping it on the down-low since his scheme unraveled nearly two decades ago.

First, here's a little bit of context. As the story goes, Jacobson, an ex-cop, had been working for the company Simon Marketing, Incorporated as the head of security in charge of distributing McDonald's Monopoly prizes. Most of the wins were small, like fries and sodas. The bigger and much rarer prizes included vacations, cars, and cash for up to $1 million. Starting in 1989, Jacobson took the big winning pieces for himself, creating a network of people to buy the prizes and taking a cut of their wins for himself. In 2001, his scheme came to an end when an anonymous tip informed the FBI of this scam.

Jacobson was arrested along with over 50 others on charges of conspiracy and mail fraud. "Uncle Jerry," 58 at the time of his arrest, was sentenced to federal prison for 37 months and ordered to repay $12.5 million. He apologized in court and was eventually released on Oct. 21, 2005. The fallout of the scheme also included McDonald's cutting ties with Simon Marketing, which later sued the fast-food company and won $16.6 million for breach of contract in 2003.

As of 2018, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Jacobson was 76 and in poor health but otherwise living a quiet life in Georgia.
