This Lavender-Infused Coconut Oil Treatment Will Soothe Your Scalp
This post was originally featured on Hello Miss Niki and is by Wendy Rose Gould, who is a part of POPSUGAR Select Beauty.
Applied topically, coconut oil actually does a few things for your hair. First, it nourishes the hair shaft to create a vibrant sheen. It also conditions the hair to restore moisture and repair damage. Also, when applied at the scalp, it can help reduce dandruff and soothe sensitive or itchy skin. Tip: For beauty uses, choose extra virgin, unrefined coconut oil.
Let's move onto the lavender portion of this two-ingredient DIY hair treatment. Lavender also has numerous benefits. It's no secret that it smells amazing, and many simply use aromatic lavender for its calming effects. Topically, lavender, like coconut oil, is antibacterial and therefore helps with dandruff. It also helps to soften the hair.
What You Need For This Recipe:
- Small Bowl
- 2 Tablespoons of Unrefined, Virgin Coconut Oil
- Fresh or Dried Lavender Sprigs (or 2 Drops Essential Oil)
- Measuring Spoons

The Wait It Almost Over to Get Your Hands on the Latest LipKit Color
After Kylie Jenner named lip kits after her sister Khloé Kardashian and her maternal grandmother (pale pink Koko K and the red Mary Jo K, respectively), we knew there would be more family-inspired shades in the works. Several days after unveiling a new dark plum hue for Spring, Kylie announced the name of the moody color: Kourt K.
We're honestly a little surprised that Kourtney's lip shade is so dark - it feels like a better fit for Khloé, who seems to be the most adventurous beauty girl of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. But above all, this announcement leaves us with questions: will all the sisters get their own lip kit color? What about Kris? Will Caitlyn get one or is she sticking with her MAC Cosmetics collaboration? Most importantly, is there a hidden meaning behind the release order? Only Kylie knows.
But we do know when Kourt K officially goes on sale for all the LipKit fans out there. The product launches tomorrow, Friday March 25, at 3 p.m. Pacific, just go to KylieCosmetics.com. Set your alarms now.
Lauren Conrad's Headband Crown Is This Spring's It Wedding Accessory
When it comes to wedding beauty style, Lauren Conrad knows her sh*t. She's the queen of DIYs and Pinterest-optimized cat eyes and beach waves. When it came to her own nuptials, the style-conscious Internet shut down to swoon over her effortlessly cool chignon adorned with a pearly hairpiece. She also rocked a gold-leaf headband with her veil. So. Much. Dreaminess.
Though she tied the knot, she is still offering up wedding inspiration. She teamed up with hairstylist Kristin Ess and makeup maven Amy Nadine for this look we know many brides and their bridesmaids would hungrily copy. The makeup was standard for LC: a flawless cat eye, glowing skin, and rosy lips. But her hair is what really stood out. She wore it sleek, side-parted, and accented with a crown comb (an accessory that wraps around the back of your head like a Greek goddess).
What makes this a different style is that her hair was straight, and we are used to seeing a barrette like this atop voluminous waves. Obsessed too? Break out your hair oil and a flat iron, and shop the pieces ahead to re-create this stunning look!

These Are the 10 Disney Channel Original Movies Your Kids Need to See
Back in the late '90s and early '00s, a cool Friday night in was making a bowl of popcorn and cozying up to a new Disney Channel Original Movie. The now-cheesy movies were once the thing I looked most forward to on any given night of the week - if my homework was finished by 8 p.m., I was allowed to watch whichever movie was playing that night. In the late '90s was when DCOMs really started to pick up, so those first handful of movies that were relentlessly aired over and over are the ones I remember most. Some are ones that others would recall fondly, the others are ones that most people have likely long forgotten about.
Like other Disney movies, there's a lesson - or seven - embedded in each of these films, and even though you might cringe watching them now, you'll love watching them with your kids. For a kick right in the nostalgia, check out the 10 Disney Channel Original Movies that your kid is going to love just as much as you once did.
12 Tips From Ina Garten That Will Make You a Better Cook
Ina Garten: queen of the culinary world. She's written nine cookbooks, starred in Food Network's Barefoot Contessa for over a decade, and won fans over with countless foolproof recipes. The woman knows a lot, and lucky for you and me, she's never shied away from sharing her advice. Read on for her best cooking tips. Before long, you'll be the one saying, "How easy is that?"
- Follow recipes to a T. When Epicurious asked her if she follows recipes when cooking at home, she said, "Exactly. To the half teaspoon. I measure everything, because I always think that if I've spent so much time making sure this recipe was exactly the way I want it, why would I want to throw things into a pot? I'm really a scientist."
- Respect ingredients. Simple is better, especially when cooking with fresh produce. "Buy things in season, and then only do what you need to do to make [food] taste as good as it can taste," she told Epicurious.
- Add coffee to chocolate. If you've ever seen Ina's recipe for brownies, you know she's a fan of enhancing the flavor of chocolate. "If you add coffee to chocolate, it gives it a depth of flavor," she said.
- When in doubt, add a little acidity. "Sometimes you taste something delicious, but a little hit of lemon juice or lemon zest or vinegar will just sort of wake it up," she explained.
- When entertaining, set out simple snacks instead of making elaborate appetizers. In an interview with IndieBound, she said, "I serve very simple nibbles like roasted cashews and good olives - nothing wrapped in phyllo. I never serve a first course, just a delicious dinner and dessert."
- Relaxing meals are simple meals. When asked what kind of meal she enjoys when she wants to relax, she said, "My favorite meal is a simple roast chicken with vegetables in the roasting pan.
- Don't be afraid to keep seasoning and tasting until your recipe is just right. When talking about her recipes with Food and Wine, she explained, "I just want something really, really flavorful, and I just keep going and going and testing things over and over again until I hear that sort of ping in my head that says, 'That's the flavor I'm looking for.' . . . I keep going until it's exactly what I'm looking for."
- Add salt to your microwaveable oatmeal. Ina is not ashamed to admit she eats quick-cooking oatmeal, but her tip from Bon Appétit makes all the difference: "Most people don't do their oatmeal with salt, and I think that without it, it just tastes like wallpaper paste. With salt, I think it's delicious."
- Riff off of your staple recipes. "I would say pick five recipes that are really simple - like roast chicken, macaroni and cheese, grilled fish - then do variations on those five recipes," Ina told Bon Appétit. If you can make macaroni and cheese, you can make lobster macaroni and cheese. . . . I think people get too complicated and spend too much time trying to impress everybody."
- Season your food throughout - not just at the end of - the cooking process. "It enhances the flavor of whatever you're cooking and makes food taste seasoned - not salty," she told Redbook.
- Think about every detail of a dinner party before it starts. Along with other hosting advice Ina gave The Kitchn, she said, "Music is the first key. Make sure there's music, so it feels like a party when people walk in the door. Put the drinks out on a bar so people can serve themselves."
- Make meals ahead of time as often as possible. She didn't write Make It Ahead: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook for nothing. Ina preaches the value of make-ahead recipes from a time- and stress-saving standpoint, but she also notes that some meals taste even better when they've had time to sit. "Salads like the quinoa tabbouleh with feta are better because the vinaigrette and freshly squeezed lemon juice really soak into the quinoa," she told Today Food.

Jennifer Garner Speaks Out About the Paparazzi Terrorizing Her Children
In an interview with Dr. Oz on Wednesday, Jennifer Garner didn't hold back when discussing the harmful effect the constant presence of the paparazzi has had on her children, especially 4-year-old Samuel. "Of all my kids, he hates them the most," she said. "He hates them." This isn't the first time the Miracles From Heaven actress has spoken out about how invasive photographers can be when it comes to her children, either. Along with fellow famous mom Halle Berry, Jennifer testified at a hearing before the California State Assembly Committee on Public Safety in 2013 to lobby for stricter rules to protect her kids from photographers.
Although the legislation hasn't completely eliminated them from the lives of her children, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, she noted that it's certainly helped and revealed the way she tries to comfort her son about it. "We just have to live our lives, son, and do the best we can," she said. "And you know what? That is just something he's gonna have to grow up with, because if we move to Timbuktu, some fool in Timbuktu's gonna buy a camera and follow us around, if they can make a living off of it."

This 5-Year-Old Girl Just Saved Her Mom's Life and Proved Why All Kids Should Learn to Swim Early
Five-year-old Allison Anderwald is small for her age, but thanks to learning how to swim at the age of 2, she just saved her mother's life - and it was all caught on family surveillance video.
Allison and her mom, Tracy Anderwald, 34, were swimming in her aunt's backyard on Friday, when Allison realized that her mom had not come up from underwater for a few minutes - Tracy had experienced a seizure and was unconscious. Allison swam over to her, pulled her to the shallow end, and made sure her head was out of the water before running into the house to get help. Tracy was rushed to the hospital, where doctors explained to her family that had she been in the water any longer, she may not have survived.
Although the doctors had low expectations for Tracy's recovery, as they initially thought she might have some neurological damage, Tracy woke up Saturday morning and was discharged by Tuesday. The doctors will, however, follow up to figure out what caused the seizure in the first place.
"Allison's been swimming since she was two-and-a-half," Tracy told ABC. "She's our little mermaid and my little hero."
Why This Innocent (and Powerful!) Photo of 2 Girls Napping Is Going Viral
❤️Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7❤️ #pdsclarksdale
Posted by Presbyterian Day School, Clarksdale, MS on Tuesday, March 22, 2016
What may seem like a snapshot of a typical naptime to children is an uplifting reminder to love one another for adults - and also yet another reason kids are just the best.
This photo of two little girls fast asleep is going viral for all of the right reasons. In the image, two Mississippi children of different ethnicities are holding hands during naptime. The picture, which was posted on Facebook by Presbyterian Day School, was captioned with a simple Bible verse: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."
It's amazing that what comes so naturally to children is a struggle for adults, but let's hope that these little ones continue to love everyone - regardless of race, gender, or religion.

This Is What the Legit Best Reaction to the Easter Bunny Looks Like
What would you do if a giant, six-foot-tall rabbit wearing a green overcoat came creeping up behind you? If your answer wasn't "run like hell," then you need to take a closer look at the Easter bunny who surprised this defenseless little girl.
She was innocently smiling for the camera in the sweetest of Spring dresses when the Easter bunny made his (or her?) move. With one quick look at the monstrous creature, the girl reacted flawlessly - she jumped off the bench and ran for the nearest exit without ever looking back. That's no scared kid - that's a survivor with a pretty impressive flight reflex.

14 Grocery Staples I Always Have as a 20-Something on a Budget
As a 22-year-old who has just started out in the professional world, I know how hard it can be to get your life together. You're supposed to find a job, live on your own, cook for yourself, and find the time to exercise, which, unfortunately, I don't think includes walking to the kitchen for snack breaks in between TV episodes. When you have so much going on - especially when you're on a budget - one thing that some people dread is grocery shopping. I personally love it, but it took a little practice to figure out a routine and a grocery list that worked for me. As someone who loves to cook, there are certain things I like to have on hand all the time. These are 14 budget-approved staples I always have stocked in my kitchen.

You Have to Watch President Obama Dance the Tango Like a Total Pro
President Obama is a man of many talents, and he just demonstrated that dancing the tango is one of them. During the state dinner hosted by Argentinian President Mauricio Macri at the Kirchner Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires in celebration of the Obamas visit to the South American country, the president and the First Lady Michelle were treated to a show of tango by two professional (and extremely fit) dancers.
Once their performance was over, the tango pros asked the first couple to join them, and there was absolutely zero hesitation from Barack and Michelle, as they immediately jumped out of their seats ready to hit the dance floor. The president was probably eager to show up his suave moves, because he totally killed it! Scroll ahead for video of his impressive dancing skills and to see more photos of the event.
GIFs That Perfectly Show the Stages of Easter Sunday With Your Family
If we're honest, the end of Lenten season is about honoring religious traditions, but it's also (mostly) about celebrating family in a big, sweet way. And when we talk about family get-togethers as Latinos, we know that this means - dressing up, lots of food, a large group of "family" members, and speaking over the soundtrack of the day. Here are 11 stages a Latina might experience over Easter Sunday.
Public Service Announcement: Liam Neeson's Sons Are Pretty Hot
Liam Neeson brought two very special dates to the New York Rangers game against the Boston Bruins in NYC on Wednesday: his sons, Micheál and Daniel. The two, whose mom is the late Natasha Richardson, had a blast cheering and talking animatedly with their dad while also managing to look pretty damn fine. Micheál, 20, has Orlando Bloom's shaggy, mid-2000s hairstyle down, and Daniel, 19, looks like he just stepped off the set of The Wolf of Wall Street (in the best possible way). Liam, who recently lost quite a bit of weight for his role in Martin Scorsese's Silence, isn't out and about often, but it seemed like he was really enjoying the game with his sons. Check out more photos of their outing ahead, and then watch the trailer for Liam's enchanting animated movie!

Not only is she obsessed, but she also admitted that their sweet son, Silas, who turns 1 in April, loves it too. The actress and restaurant owner also took some time to address those pregnancy rumors, which she revealed are completely untrue. See the full video above, and then check out her sweetest moments with Justin over the years.

The 1 Cleaning Product Everyone Should Have in Their Home
Everyone has their favorite cleaning products, but I'm here to lay down the law. The best, most versatile product you can have in your home is a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. No, I'm not being asked to endorse it - I just love it. Like, a lot.
For those of you who have not been blessed with a Magic Eraser, let me tell you what it is. It's a powerful sponge with microscrubbers that get into tiny surface grooves, so it lifts away tough grease and grime. Here's why it's the best thing you can have to clean your home:
1. All you have to do is add water.
Soak the eraser in water, squeeze out the excess moisture, and get to scrubbing. It eliminates any additional cleaning products, so using it doesn't seem like such a huge task.
2. It will literally clean anything.
Seriously, you name it, the Magic Eraser can clean it. I've used it on counters, bathtubs, walls, doors, floors, and even my favorite pair of tennis shoes. You don't even have to scrub very hard to see marks and stains go away.
3. It doesn't just remove marks and stains; it cleans the surfaces they're on, too.
When you're using a Magic Eraser, it's like you're using an all-purpose spray cleaner, too. You're removing gross germs that come along with marks and stains.
So do you agree with my love for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? It's awesome because of its ability to adapt to just about any surface. Plus, it's so simple to use. Let us know what you think!
How Spring Cleaning Changed My Life
Kid clutter had officially taken over my house. The toys that seemed so cute and manageable just a few years ago, when I was a mom to one 2-year-old little girl, had expanded to fill every corner of my suburban home, which I now share with my husband, a 5-year-old daughter, a 2-year-old son, a bounce house, endless trucks, doll beds, pint-sized kitchens and trampolines, and a play tent big enough for four kids. I was drowning in toys and too overwhelmed by the craziness of my everyday life to do anything about it.
"We're going to have to buy a bigger house," I told my husband, and truthfully I'm still trolling Zillow daily in search of an extra 500-or-so square feet that I'd love to dedicate to a playroom. I thought about sending my kids to their grandparents' house for a night, throwing away half their toys while they were gone, and then telling them we got robbed, but that seemed like a lot of work. I considered cancelling all future birthday parties and holidays, when inevitably even more kid stuff would arrive, adding to the clutter, but that felt mean.
Ultimately, it was my own mom who came to the rescue. Apparently I'd been complaining pretty regularly about my plight, and she'd developed a plan. "I'm coming up for two days, we're hiring a babysitter to watch the kids, and we're turning your basement into a playroom," she told me last month. Could it be done, I thought? Although our basement is finished with decent carpet, neutral paint, and plenty of room, it had been relegated to a storage space since we moved in four years ago and was filled to the brim with discarded furniture and decorative items from our old apartments, piles of kid crafts, and approximately $5,000 worth of baby stuff that I keep saying I need to donate or give away. The task of turning all that junk into a space my kids would actually used seemed pretty daunting.
The process wasn't fun (there were multiple times I was so overwhelmed that I had to take a few minutes to calm myself), but it also didn't take all that long. In about six hours, my mom and I went through everything, organizing keep, donate, and toss piles, and making a plan for the new room. Suddenly, from among the junk, a neat, and surprisingly cute space emerged. The couch, chair, small round table, and Ikea bookshelves that we'd relegated to the basement after upgrading to new furniture upstairs all worked perfectly for a kids' space. The colorful pillows and rugs I'd collected at HomeGoods and Urban Outfitters during my 20s did too. Under a pile of ribbons and gift bags, we uncovered a kid-sized play table I forgot I bought last Summer. At the end of the day, I didn't need to purchase anything beyond a few storage bins, a couple of lamps, and two kids' chairs, all of which I scored at The Land of Nod outlet (if you live near Naperville, Illinois, it's a must visit) for less than $100.
In the week since my basement has been transformed from an embarrassing dumping ground into a usable playroom, I've felt like an idiot for not doing the work years ago. My kids are loving the new playspace because, now that their toys have a neat, nice home, they can actually see them and therefore play with them. It's a novel concept. And I'm loving it because I can now lock in my kids in the basement and know they're having a blast down there. Kidding.
Seriously, though, with the toy clutter managed, the rest of my house has gotten so much neater by default. Our newly organized basement inspired my husband to clean out his closet, a tiny miracle, and my daughter finally conceded to getting rid of the too-small clothes and shoes she's been hoarding for the last year in her room. Our home is far from perfect, but knowing that my basement no longer looks like an episode of Hoarders has brought a bit of happiness to my life every single day. Now if I can just get my husband to clean out the garage.
How to Go From Vegetarian to Vegan Without Getting Hangry
When I tell people I'm vegan - and that I've been a vegetarian since I was born - the first question I usually get is: you don't eat cheese? For some reason, it's a lot easier for most people to fathom going vegetarian than it is for them to entertain the idea of going vegan. Foregoing a hamburger is one thing, but give up my beloved brie? As if!
Over the course of my lifetime (35 rotations around the sun so far), I've gone from vegetarian to pure vegan to where I am today - as a what I like to call "mostly vegan," "99 percent vegan," or "plant-based". Why the 99 percent? Let's just say I'm not into extremes: if I'm in New York, and I want a slice of New York pizza, well, then, I eat a slice of New York pizza (without beating myself up about it). However, during my strictest stint as a pure vegan (about a decade), I didn't eat even a morsel of animal-derived ingredients, or wear them on my feet, or even rest my head on down-stuffed pillows. (I was even married wearing a pair of super posh vegan Stella McCartney sandals.) During those years, I looked and felt better than ever . . . physically, emotionally, karmically . . .
But enough about me . . . this is about you! Even if you are already a vegetarian, the number one reason I can give you to go all the way (or mostly) vegan is that it's the easiest thing you can do to feel super amazing, super fast. In what ways will you feel like your most amazing self ever? While each person's experience is unique, if you give veganism a go - even for 48 hours - I suspect you will feel lighter, more energized, happier, and less bloated and enjoy better digestion, sounder sleep, glowing skin, better sex, and more!
While most people think of veganism as the double black diamond of specialty diets, the irony is that the "rules" of going vegan are actually really easy, especially if you are already a vegetarian. All you need to do is stop eating any foods that are derived from animals. If you're already not eating meat or fish, that just means giving up dairy and eggs (plus honey and any obscure animal-derived ingredients if you want to get super picky). It's that simple, and yet that impossible-seeming at the same time, since dairy and eggs are so easy to reach for, especially when you are super hangry.
But trust me: if you can make it the first 48 hours without meat, fish, eggs, and dairy, you'll never go back. Why? You have to feel it to believe it. Here's my tried and true advice for transitioning from vegetarian to vegan: DITCH THE DAIRY. The hardest part about going vegan for most people is giving up dairy. Specifically cheese. Our addiction to this stuff is real, people. When it comes to satisfying your cheese cravings, I recommend the following two tactics.
1. Up Your Intake of Good Fats
Sometimes when you think you are craving cheese, you are really just craving fat - and for good reason. Our bodies need fat to feed our organs (including our brains!), muscles, and skin, and also to balance our hormones and energy levels. But dairy fat is not the healthiest option; there are plenty of delicious and nutritious "good fats" to consume, such as avocados, nuts, seeds, nut and seed butters, shredded coconut, and coconut oil. Be sure to keep these on hand at all times. When a cheese craving strikes, bust out your favorite nut butter and enjoy with sliced apples or celery sticks.
2. Opt For Dairy Subs You Love
Finding satisfying substitutes for your go-to dairy products is key. Luckily, the repertoire of dairy-free doubles stocking super market shelves these days makes it easier and tastier than ever to ditch the diary. Not sure where to begin? Read on for a round-up of awesome dairy alternatives.
No-Moo Milks
Who needs cow's milk when you can choose from a range of creamy soy, coconut, almond, rice, or hemp "milks." My choice selections below go great in morning cereal, smoothies, coffee, or with cookies as a late-night snack. Or, just enjoy a tall, refreshing glass for added protein any time of day.
- Soy Milk: Soy Dream Vanilla Soy Milk
- Coconut Milk: So Delicious Dairy-Free Coconut Milk
- Almond Milk: Blue Diamod Almond Breeze Almond Milk
- Rice Milk: Rice Dream Vanilla Enriched Milk
- Hemp Milk: Pacific Food Vanilla Hemp Milk
The New Generation of Vegan Cheeses
As much as we all adore avocados, sometimes you just want the melt-in-your-mouth taste and texture of cheese. Comfort food favorites such as grilled cheese, mac-'n'-cheese, quesadillas, and pizza are easier than ever to veganize thanks to a growing roster of amazing nut, soy, and pea-protein based vegan cheeses. Try one of the my picks below for a truly satisfying non-dairy stand-in.
- Blocks: Follow Your Heart Vegan Mozzarella
- Shreds: Shredded Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds
- Sliced: Go Veggie Vegan American Singles
- Cheese-Plate Worthy: Kite Hill Soft Fresh Truffle, Dill & Chive
- Cream Cheese Style: Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
Why choose artery-clogging butter when you can opt for a heart-healthy spread like Earth Balance, coconut oil, or olive oil? Whether you are smearing it on toast, veggies, or even baking, the rich taste and texture of these alternatives will win you over on first bite.
Get to Know Excellent Egg Replacers
While it's hard to imagine eggless scrambled eggs or an eggless omelette, tofu scramble done right (like this protein-packed tofu scramble with kale and sweet potatoes) is just as tasty, if not tastier. Not into tofu? Believe it or not, the revolutionary health food brand Follow Your Heart has even created plant-derived vegan "eggs" that come in a carton and are perfect for scrambling, omelettes, or using in baked goods! Plus, here's how to use flax eggs instead of chicken eggs for baking!
- Best tofu for scrambles: Wildwood Superfirm Tofu
- For scrambles and baking: Follow Your Heart Vegan Eggs
- For breading and baking: Ener-G Egg Replacer
Become an Avid Label Reader
As if you weren't reading labels closely enough already, becoming strict vegan pretty much requires an unofficial degree in nutritional science jargon. Animal-derived ingredients masquarade under strange names and pop up in the strangest places. For instance, can someone please explain why I would want gelatin (boiled bones) in my Starburst or squid ink in my spaghetti? The big three to memorize now include gelatin, casein, and lactose. But here's an A-Z index of animal-derived ingredients compiled by PETA that you may want to print and carry in your purse while food shopping.
This Is the Makeup You Need to Pull Off the '70s Glam-Rock Trend
The modernized take on the grunge trend has infiltrated almost every aspect of our beauty regimens, including our manicures and tattoos. Now it's sneaking into our makeup packaging - and we're loving it.
New York-based cosmetics company Too Cool For School's Spring collection consists of four different products: liquid liner, brow gel, lipstick, and mascara. Though the quartet is inspired by '70s glam rock, each tube is lacquered in a high-gloss black hue with a subtle, gold foil mask accent.
The vampy vibes are particularly obvious in two products in the launch. The lip colors are called "Vampire Kiss" - a bright blood shade and a deep oxblood that are both edgy yet chic. Even more overt is the mascara's packaging: it's a tiny black coffin! Inside is a waterproof formula that leaves your fringe curled, thick, and lengthy. We're particularly a fan of the brush, which features hooked bristles to grab each and every lash.
Read on to see the entire Glam Rock collection, then start saving . . . it'll be available at Sephora this April.

Lauren Conrad and Her Husband Make a Pinterest-Perfect Pair at Her Book Launch Party
Lauren Conrad's latest outing proves that her life really is something out of a Pinterest board. The former reality star and author stepped out in New York City on Wednesday to celebrate the launch of her new book, Celebrate, at Kohl's showroom. The Instagram star, who looked gorgeous in a cocktail dress, was all smiles at the pink-themed party while posing for photos with some of her pals. But some of the best moments from the night came when she cuddled up to her husband, William Tell. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, shared a few loving glances as they wrapped their arms around each other. All the Times We've Seen Chelsea Handler's Boobs - So Far
Chelsea Handler has basically been living in a topless version of Green Eggs and Ham - much like Sam I Am, she'll go topless on a house, with a mouse, in a box, or near a fox (and even at the top of the Twitter offices). The comic and former Chelsea Lately host has been challenging Instagram's nudity guidelines by posting photos and videos of herself sans shirt over the past two years, and though she has come under fire for the racy snaps (a few of them caused her account to be suspended), there's really nothing that will stop the notoriously outspoken star from baring her boobs on social media.
However you feel about Chelsea, her brand of comedy, or her breasts, you have to admit that her topless photos are way more funny than they are scandalous - seriously, standing on top of a snow-covered mountain with no shirt on? Is it really that much more outrageous than Kim Kardashian posing on a snow-covered mountain in a fur bikini? We've rounded up all the times that Chelsea has flashed boob at us - keep reading to see the NSFW photos now.
The Best and Worst Deals at Trader Joe's
Are you familiar with the Trader Joe's haze? It's that glassy, dreamy-eyed look that comes over every die-hard Trader Joe's fan when you ask her what's good at the store. The response is always a guaranteed "everything!" Granted that Trader Joe's does have a lot of great products at good prices, but there are some that are better deals than others - and some that are totally not worth it. We've put together a list of what to buy and what not to buy based on our own research and insights from experts:
What to Buy
Alcohol: Known for its Two-Buck Chuck, Trader Joe's has pretty decently priced alcoholic beverages. I've found liquor, even name-brand vodka, to be a lot cheaper at Trader Joe's in comparison to my local liquor store.
Frozen international ready-made meals: People can't go on enough about how tasty the ready-made and frozen meals at Trader Joe's are, in particular their frozen international meals. Nathan Rodgers of review site What's Good at Trader Joe's says, "My favorite things about TJ's are their foreign-inspired frozen meals. Just in the past few months we've tried Korean pajeon, Italian cannelloni, Japanese sukiyaki, and French coq au vin, among others. There's usually very little time and money invested, and you get to experience some really amazing international dishes that you might otherwise never be exposed to."
Nuts: You can't beat the prices on nuts at Trader Joe's. It tends to be better than most places. Although there are some complaints on the quality, people seemed to be generally pleased with it for the most part.
Ground meat: The ground meat (beef and turkey) tends to have better prices than other stores unlike the regular meats.
Bananas: At 19 cents per banana, that's a pretty good price, especially for solo shoppers.
Olive oil: Trader Joe's has one of the cheapest prices on olive oil, even cheaper than Costco.
Vegetarian substitute foods: As a supermarket that's branded toward organic and healthy food, Trader Joe's definitely has a good selection of vegetarian substitutes, such as almond milk and vegetarian patties, at competitive prices.
Specialty cheeses: According to Kiplinger, specialty cheese are worth buying at Trader Joe's because of the variety and prices. They are a much better deal than the regular cheeses.
Flowers: Fresh flowers are a pretty great deal at Trader Joe's. You can get peony bouquets for $8 and potted orchids for $12.
What Not to Buy
Organic chicken: Some of the meats have better prices elsewhere, and this is particularly the case with organic chicken. You can even get cheaper organic chicken at Whole Foods.
Frozen fruits and vegetables: "Trader Joe's sells only small packages of frozen fruit. So you'll pay nearly three times as much per ounce there than if you buy a 64-ounce package of strawberries, blueberries, or other fruit at Walmart," says Kiplinger. We compared the prices of frozen vegetables with other stores, and it seems that Costco is a much better bet for frozen vegetables.
Sushi: Trader Joe's isn't known for its sushi, and one of the complaints many have is the quality of the ingredients - think imitation crab, potato starch, and more.
The Government Wants to Make Access to Devices Easier; Here's Why Apple Is Saying No
Encryption isn't something we think of during our daily scroll through our apps, but it is crucial to the overall safety of our personal information. The passwords and financial and personal data we access through our phones on a regular basis is all protected using encryption.
While it is an essential part of protecting our information, encryption has its downsides, a major one being that everything we do on our devices is sent using some form of coding, making our information susceptible to hackers. In addition, encryption has become so universal, it has even made accessing information problematic for government and law enforcement.
The FBI is asking Apple to create a way to bypass their data-encrypted software in order to access the information on phones of criminals during an investigation (more specifically, the investigation on Syed Farook, one of the two San Bernardino mass shooters). Apple, however, is refusing on the grounds that creating a special software to unlock devices on a case-by-case basis also puts millions of devices and people at risk.
John Oliver hilariously uncovers some not-so-funny issues surrounding the Apple vs. FBI encryption debate in the latest episode of Last Week Tonight, leaving us with one important question: is giving the government more access to information worth the risk of it being accessed by others? Watch the clip to see Oliver's take on the topic.

This Dramatic Staircase Makeover Will Cause You to Do a Double Take
The set of unfinished stairs that greeted guests as soon as they walked into IHeart Organizing blogger Jen Jones's house were a serious eyesore. Tired of hiding them, Jen decided to embark on a stair makeover, and the results will wow you.
While the project has multiple steps, it's significantly more approachable than expected and much more affordable than it looks. It starts with a brilliant hack: a false stair kit - yes, that's a real thing! Jen picked one up at The Home Depot that contained treads (the panel you step on) and risers (the panel that rises up between stairs).
To customize her staircase and make sure it matched the other stairs in her home, she purchased the wood unfinished and treated the panels herself. Treads were stained walnut, and the risers were coated with glossy white paint. Once they dried, she sawed them to the right size and secured them to the staircase.
Like we said, it's not an easy project but certainly a doable and dramatic one. Interested in tackling your own ugly staircase? Get the step-by-step details on IHeart Organizing.

The Best Photos of the Obama Family's Visit to Argentina
The Obama family is continuing their official visit to Latin America, heading south after their three-day historic stay in Cuba and landing in Argentina early on March 23. The visit is stirring a bit of controversy, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the military coup of 1976 initially supported by the US that led to a dicatorship until 1983, but photos show supporters lined up in the streets of the capital waiting to sneak a peek and photo of the US president. Be Honest: If You Saw a Boy Doing This, Would You Stop and Say Something?
Hungry boy - heroes35 mins of filming, around 500 people had a chance to see the hungry boy and only a few people helped. In the original video we focused on one incredible group who cared. Now it's time to acknowledge a few others who did the same. #icareenough

You're rushing: either the day-care dropoff took longer than expected and you're late for work, or you've got a few last-minute errands to run before you have to pick up the kids from school. What would it take for you to pause your already busy day?
If you saw this young boy, starving and searching for food in a public trash bin, as you were about to cross the street, would you stop? Would you do something?
That's what these filmmakers set out to discover. After 35 minutes of filming, they gave 500 people a chance to see a hungry kid in need. Only a few people helped. In fact, the final tally showed that three groups - made up of seven people total - and three individuals stopped to ask if he was OK. That's just one in every 50 people. Not enough.
The moving video, which actually followed a child actor, was created for New Zealand's police recruitment program and titled "Do You Care Enough . . . to Be a Cop?" - but it's a lesson for all of us. No matter what we have going on, someone has it harder, and when that someone is an innocent child, it's our job to help.
An Open Letter to All of the Moms Who Write Open Letters
To the moms who write open letters to random moms in the world:
I get it. You saw someone doing something awesome or saw someone doing something atrocious, and you wanted to say something. But you didn't. You were too shy, too scared, too busy, or just not up for it at the time. But you still wanted to say something. So you thought you'd write an "open letter" and put it up on Facebook and see if it went viral, hoping that the person you were addressing would eventually see it. I mean, it's happened before. Kids put up photos looking for their birth parents and often find them. So why shouldn't your letter make it to the intended party?
Or maybe you didn't see anyone or anything. Maybe you just wanted to express your feelings about a subject and weren't quite sure how to do it. You wanted to give support to breastfeeding moms everywhere but didn't want to actually address an individual, so you used the collective "To the mom who was nursing at the Starbucks in town" to get your point across.
Or maybe you were just frustrated by the general attitude toward parenthood these days and the undue pressure society places on moms. Maybe this was your way of venting.
I think we can all let out a collective sigh of agreement there. Every mother out there has been frustrated before. Every mother has reached her limit. And every mother just wants to let off some steam!
I know, I know. That's exactly what I'm doing now, isn't it?
But here's the thing. When there was one "open letter to the mom who . . . " out there, it was unique. When there were a few, it was cute. But now - well, now it's just getting annoying. Every day it's something else.
"To the mother who didn't park within the lines . . . "
"To the mother who gave me a dirty look . . . "
"To the mother who gave me a knowing glance . . . "
"To the mother who I don't know if she's a mother or not . . . "
Maybe it's time to stop writing open letters to no one in particular, hoping for our few moments of viral fame, and it's time to start talking to each other. Stepping back outside the computer or phone and actually talking to our fellow moms. I promise, it will be a lot more fulfilling than repeatedly hitting refresh to see how many people have shared your letter.
But who knows? Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up to a Facebook feed filled with shares of a letter that opens with, "To the mom who wrote the open letter to the moms who write open letters . . . "
