The 1 Fitness Mantra to Remember When You Really Want to Skip Class
When the day of the Movemeant Foundation's Dare to Bare event rolled around, I was not even the tiniest bit excited to work out. Maybe it was the corn dogs, french fries, and beer I'd downed at a festival a day earlier (is it obvious I'm not a fitness editor yet?), but the SoulCycle class I'd eagerly signed up for days earlier now seemed like a death sentence. To make matters worse, I hadn't signed myself up for just a regular SoulCycle class. No, I had signed myself up for a shirtless ride promoting body positivity in one of the busiest parks in New York City. Awesome.
I won't lie to you, I considered just skipping the whole thing altogether. I let myself imagine a glorious day spent melting into my couch, wearing a shirt in the privacy of my own home. Besides, a lackluster workout when I felt like crap would be a total waste of my time, right? But when I felt the guilt of skipping a workout (a charity workout, even worse) creep in, I quickly threw on the event's Sweaty Betty sports bra and promised myself that I'd only clock in the minimum amount of effort necessary to avoid public humiliation.
Strapped into my bike, armed only with a sports bra and my really bad attitude, I settled in for a mediocre ride. Only, that's not at all the kind of ride I ended up having. Two songs in, I found myself humming along to the blaring music and smiling to myself as my more cheerful classmates shouted words of encouragement into the crowd. A few tracks later, my body was tuning into the improved mood of my brain and I was really cruising. Sure, I was skipping all of those double tap backs and taking more breaks than usual, but who cares? Without even giving it a thought, the catchy tunes and positive attitudes of my classmates had melted away my reluctance to give the workout a fair shot.

My Dare to Bare experience gave me a new fitness mantra to live by: just show up to class. No. Matter. What. Even if I'm confident I'll hate every second of it. Even if I feel awful after eating my way through an entire festival's worth of fried food the day before. I accept that the classes where I have to physically drag myself to the studio may not be the ones where I set personal records and completely kick ass. But I won't accept pressing the cancel button and simply throwing away an opportunity to surprise myself with what my body can do if I just get myself in the room.

These Over-the-Knee Boots Look Way More Expensive Than $200 - but They Aren't
Maybe you're not sure how often you'd wear them, or maybe you're just trying to save money. Either way, the conclusion's the same: you're not spending hundreds on over-the-knee boots, and nothing - no It girl, no Instagram post, no street style look - will really convince you otherwise. But if you'd still like to have a pair of OTKs sitting in your closet, ready to style with oversize shirts, miniskirts, and jeans, there is a solution - 22 solutions, actually, in the form of the under-$200 styles ahead.

Here's Where You Can Get Your Hands on Hello Kitty Wine
Hello Kitty wine just might be the cutest way to get your buzz on. In case you weren't already aware, the official Hello Kitty Wine is made in partnership by Italy's Torti Winery and Sanrio, the Japanese company that created Hello Kitty. While it's been in distribution since 2007 in some European and Asian markets, fans are getting excited to taste the wine in a whole new way. An Italian restaurant in Santa Ana, CA, called Antonello Ristorante will exclusively sell Hello Kitty Wine by the glass and the bottle (and to-go!), alongside a creative Hello-Kitty-Themed menu. Starting Oct. 6, the restaurant's Hello Kitty tasting menu will include a salad with a watermelon shaped like Hello Kitty, pink pasta shaped like the iconic hair bow, and chocolate cake shaped like Hello Kitty.
We haven't gotten our hands on a bottle to taste it yet, but our LA-based video producer has. According to Nicole Iizuka, "The Rosé is very sweet, but not cloyingly so. It smells fruitier than it tastes, and the color is really pretty. The Hello Kitty Angel Wine is very refreshing and easy to drink white that also had notes of sweetness but is very sippable chilled. It's good for Summer and would be nice with fish, or chicken, or loads of veggies."
If you're not one of the lucky ones able to dine at the Southern California restaurant, you can spot the wine at select specialty wine and grocery stores.
The Top Halloween Candy Ranked From Worst to Best
There was a time the contents in your Halloween bag meant the world to you. There were good years and bad years . . . Who can forget the neighbor who only let you pick out one Tootsie Roll or the house that had king size candies up for grabs? We're revisiting the best and the worst of our yearly candy stash, starting with the candies that still make your taste buds recoil.
From Grape to Glass: How Sparkling Wine Is Made
Ever wondered what goes into making quality sparkling wine? The answer - aside from lots of grapes, of course - is a lot of labor. Méthode Champenoise (or méthode traditionnelle when referring to sparkling wines made outside of Champagne, France), is the traditional French method of producing sparkling wines, and while at Mumm Winery in Napa, CA, during harvest, we snapped up photos of the step-by-step process. Take a look; the involved méthode may inspire you to savor your next glass of bubbly more slowly.
These Pokémon Terrariums Are So Adorable, It's Hard to Even Buy One
Just this year, an artist's adorable drawings of Pokémon character terrariums made us wish they existed in real life. As it turns out, they do!
Texas-based artist and vintage collector, Lauren, runs an Etsy store, called the Vintage Realm, where she sells her unique spherical terrariums featuring tiny Pokémon figurines. Each terrarium also houses an environment that reflects the character. For example, Electabuzz's terrarium is filled with metallic springs and tiny light bulbs that symbolize its use of electricity.
Her terrariums range from $20 to $45 depending on the size. However, due to high demand as of late, Lauren has barely kept up with keeping them in stock. She does, however, try to list additional terrariums once a week. Lauren also typically announces restocks before they happen on her Twitter. Look ahead for some of our favorites.
When Pancreatitis Landed This Mom in the Hospital, Her Kid Gave Her a Hilarious Card
in the hospital with pancreatitis, this is the get well soon card and my daughter drew for me. from funny
People who have had pancreatitis say it's difficult to laugh while dealing with it, considering laughing just puts even more pressure on the uncomfortably inflamed organ. Well, one mom probably had a hard time resisting the urge to laugh when she received her daughter's blunt (yet sweet) card while she was in the hospital.
The card has since been shared on Reddit, and it reads, "I don't know why, but your pancreas hates you. Just wait while the other organs teach it how to love you again." She kindly added, "Don't worry it's a quick learner." The drawing underneath her message of an angry-looking pancreas being lovingly held by other organs is just the icing on the cake.
Kate Middleton's Putting in an Order For These 23 Runway Looks
It isn't often Kate Middleton tries out a new designer. After all, she remains loyal to so many of her favorite brands that create tailored coats and day dresses to wear underneath. While many of them are British labels, Kate's been tapping American fashion houses as of late, Chloé, Tory Burch, Altuzarra, and Banana Republic included.
We couldn't help ourselves as we monitored the runways at NYFW, LFW, MFW, and PFW - we created a wish list of looks for Kate. Some of the silhouettes here might be more daring than she's used to, but Kate's worn these designers before. We think she can handle it. Scroll for a look at the pieces that belong in her royal wardrobe.
Amal Clooney's 6 Favorite Pant Styles Will Satisfy You For Life
Amal Clooney is adventurous when it comes to style, but especially in the pants department. While many celebrities sit front row at Fashion Week, keeping their eyes peeled for red carpet dresses, Amal pays attention to every look. She's worn groovy flared trousers by Giambattista Valli and coordinate sets from Stella McCartney and Lanvin.
When it comes to denim, Amal likes a cropped fit with slight distressing, slouch, or even a print. Her jeans are by no means standard. There's no better time than the Fall to refresh this category of your wardrobe, especially when the trend report calls for experimentation (we're talking velvet palazzos and track pants). Read on for a look at Amal's six must haves, then check off the boxes and get your shopping in.
The Internet Is Debating the Color of This Bag and We're Losing Our Minds
Another day, another time the internet is trying to make another #TheDress debate happen. This time, people on Twitter are debating the color of a Kate Spade bag and can't handle it.
The debate started on Oct. 4, when Taylor Corso used her Twitter account, whyofcorso, to post a tweet showing off her new Kate Spade bag.
Everyone say hello to my new baby http://pic.twitter.com/0NyciiFmFf
- c o r s o (@whyofcorso) October 4, 2016
Almost immediately, another Twitter user responded telling her it was a "nice white purse."
@whyofcorso this is a nice white purse, corso
- scheduled content (@case_face) October 4, 2016
As you can imagine, the debate started right then. People are going back on forth on what they saw - even the original user who posted the tweet.
I see it white https://t.co/i4yzpj2Rd3
- William-Jose Velez (@williamjose) October 4, 2016
@whyofcorso it's really not white!? 😳
- Olivia Rage (@livtrain) October 4, 2016
@whyofcorso I feel like I've lost all sense of what color means now
- Mallory (@MalzzzInDC) October 4, 2016
Shoot now it kind of looks white IRL. What have y'all done to me
- c o r s o (@whyofcorso) October 4, 2016
Since so many people were coming to Corso's page, she took the time to call out her fundraiser for an upcoming JDRF walk, a benefit to raise funds for people who live with Type 1 Diabetes.
If you're starting to question your eyesight, Corso cleared up the debate. The Kate Spade website at some point, labeled the color of the bag as "mystic blue." (Currently, the bag is out of stock and you cannot see any color listed).
Try again. @RamtinIrandost http://pic.twitter.com/Wc3LT1Lm6i
- c o r s o (@whyofcorso) October 5, 2016
What do you think the color is? We're pretty convinced it's blue.

If there are any big takeaways from Fashion Month you won't want to forget, we've got them right here. While New York brought plenty of changes, the week was only a glimmer of what was to come. But as feeds get filled and time goes on, we're savoring the key events that truly bear significance on the industry. Read on to see why the Spring 2017 season is different from all the rest.
Copy Kate: 10 Looks the Duchess Borrowed From Your Favorite Celebs
Ever since Kate Middleton stepped into the spotlight, her style has been admired and emulated - she wears a dress and it sells out in seconds, items of clothing have been named after her, and she regularly appears on "most stylish" lists. She also has a legion of celebrity "copy Kates" who pop up in a dress that she has worn, days, weeks or sometimes months later. Or does she? Once the duchess has been seen in a piece, she will forever be associated with it, but often it's the royal following in the celeb's footsteps - and some of them are surprising (hint: we may now know what one of Kate's favorite TV shows is!) . . .
This Dad Dressed Up as a Mermaid When He Took His Daughter to Disneyland
mermaid and her mer-dad at disneyland
For their trip to Disneyland, one dad and daughter duo were obviously having a blast before enjoying any of the theme park's attractions - thanks to their matching ensembles.
Complete with a gold crown and sequin tale, this dad was the King Triton to his daughter's Ariel, and their Little Mermaid-inspired looks added an extra element of bonding during their special outing. Imgur user Calicutie66 shared a heartwarming snapshot of the mer-dad and mermaid holding hands during their magical stroll, and even though you can only see their backs, it's more than apparent how much love is in this photo.

This Beauty Blogger Curled Her Hair With Tampons - and Was Amazed by the Results
YouTube blogger Grav3yardgirl, also known as Bunny Meyer, recently polled her readers on what unexpected item she should use to curl her hair. In what was likely an attempt to troll her, her readers chose tampons.
In the tutorial, the quirky blogger was unafraid as she wrapped small segments of her hair around the plastic tampon applicators and secured each section with a bobby bin. Though a few did slip out at the beginning, she was eventually able to finish rolling and pinning her entire head to achieve a look that instantly elicited laughter.
After completing the process, Bunny said, "I'm going to give you a bit of advice: don't ever do this." She added, "It is so time-consuming, it is so difficult, and there is no reason that a tampon should ever touch your ear." Noted.
Watch the adventurous tutorial above and decide for yourself if this is something you'd try at home.
Nothing is Better Than These 3 Stranger Things Costume Ideas
We were a step ahead with our Harley Quinn costume last year, which Google named the #1 Halloween costume of 2015. Of course, we're sure Harleen will be back on top of the list after Margot Robbie's downright crazy (and shall we say, sexy) portrayal of the character in this year's Suicide Squad.
That said, if anything can trump HQ, it's Stranger Things. Whether you related to Eleven's naive yet take-matters-into-her-own hands attitude, Barb's apathy for fitting in, or you really dig the 80's (and Winona!), Stranger Things took over the internet and our hearts. (Sappy, yet true.)
That's why the show makes for perfect Halloween costumes: it contains easy-to-recognize characters that are beloved by the masses, and the best costumes are the ones you don't have to explain to people. We chose three of our favorites from the cast: Dustin, Barb and, of course, Eleven.
Check out the video on how to easily re-create each character, and let us know in the comments what you're dressing up as for Halloween.

Kate and Leo's Epic Friendship in Their Own Words
It's been more than 18 years since Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio met on the set of Titanic, and while their first onscreen relationship ended tragically, Kate and Leo's love has lived on in the years since. The two stars, who shared the big screen again in 2008's Revolutionary Road, have remained close friends for more than 20 years. In that time, they've had nothing but sweet things to say about each other - Leo has called Kate the "best actor of her generation" - and smiley red carpet photo ops! Let's take a look at their amazing friendship through the years.
It all started with Titanic in 1997. Kate and Leo turned 21 and 22, respectively, while making the movie. Their onscreen chemistry was undeniable, which Leo addressed in a 1997 interview with Entertainment Tonight: "She's such a terrific person in general that our chemistry naturally happened on screen. We just like each other as people. As far as doing a love scene, though, we laughed about it a lot."
21 Times Justin Theroux's Hotness Made You Break Into a Sweat
Justin Theroux has been officially off the market since he married Jennifer Aniston in August 2015, but that doesn't mean the world will stop lusting after him. And what's not to love? The actor is hilarious, talented, sexy, mysterious, and looks insanely good in a police uniform. While you've seen him smolder on HBO's The Leftovers, show off his abs during shirtless vacations, and are about to see him in The Girl on the Train, you probably don't have all of his best moments together in one place. But that's all about to change. Relive the times Justin made you let out a collective sigh, then rub salt in the wound by taking a peek at his "WCW" Instagram post featuring Jen.
Skip the Crunches: This Trainer Has a Way More Effective Exercise For You
We get it - you hate crunches. But as it turns out, you might be onto something; they might not be the most effective use of your gym time. Trainer and owner of LEKfit Lauren Kleban told us that crunches are totally overrated, and she has a supereffective alternative for you to do instead.
"Planks are safer and way more effective than crunches," Lauren said. "They work the entire core, engaging your legs, arms, and bum (via the glutes), which means you can burn more calories!"
That all sounds great, but why are crunches not as good? She explained that crunches only work two muscle groups - the obliques and the rectus abdominis ("your six-pack!"). They also put you at more risk for injury in your back or neck "from holding your head incorrectly in a crunch."
So crunches aren't bad for you - especially if you're doing them correctly - but to Lauren's point, if you want to make the most of your time, try planks instead. You'll work more muscle groups and burn more calories. You don't have to tell us twice! With that in mind, we'll be taking up this plank challenge . . . care to join us? You can also try our favorite crunchless ab workout, this on-the-floor, no-crunch ab workout, or a medicine-ball move.

This Special Ed Teacher Includes Her Entire Class in Her Wedding Party
When Kinsey French got engaged, her students at Louisville's Christian Academy were by her side – her now-husband proposed in the school's gym. So, when it came to her wedding day this past June, she made sure to share the experience with her class of six very special kids.
French, a special education teacher, works in a program designed for children with Down syndrome. They're in a regular classroom environment for most of the day but also receive speech and occupational therapy.
"They were like family to me," French told Kentucky's WLKY News. "They were my first class and they've been my only class and so I knew I couldn't have a special day without them."
Although the kids took part in pre-ceremony photos – beautifully documented by Lang Thomas photography – and walked down the aisle, their favorite part was, of course, the dancing. They particularly loved doing the "dab" and the "whip and nae-nae."
"It was so exciting," French said. "It was really special for Josh and myself just to have them a part of the day, and have them come with us and celebrate with us."
Read on, and try to keep a dry eye as you watch this incredibly special day unfold.
Walgreens's New Rewards Program Is a Blessing For Drugstore Beauty Lovers
As a beauty fanatic, it's hard to pass a drugstore without stopping in. You tell yourself that you'll just be a few seconds - and that you'll only get the bare necessities - but then you leave half an hour later with a basket full of mascaras, nail polishes, and lipsticks. And sure, they were all affordable, but after going HAM, it still stings to see the combined total of your haul printed on the receipt.
By now, you know it's essential to be a member of any and all drugstores' loyalty programs. Walgreens has always offered points through its Balance Rewards system, but the company now offers an all-new program exclusively for beauty addicts. Completely free to join, Beauty Enthusiast functions as an extension of Balance Rewards but provides exclusive benefits when you buy makeup, hair products, skin care, grooming items, and even oral care.
Once you spend $50 on beauty-related purchases (which is admittedly embarrassingly easy), you'll receive 5,000 points. Considering that members immediately receive a one-time-use digital coupon for 20 times everyday points on beauty, you'll achieve that goal even faster. 5,000 points gets you five dollars free to use anywhere at Walgreens (including on more makeup). You can also get exclusive promotions, samplings, and product recommendations.
Even if you may not be able to resist the siren song of the drugstore beauty aisle, you now have a reason to just embrace your weakness in the face of a good deal.
The Girl on the Train's Haley Bennett Is the Bona-Fide Style Star You Should Already Know
If you haven't heard, Haley Bennett is the next It girl in Hollywood. With The Girl on the Train under her belt, and a few more films coming out, the 28-year-old is poised to take over the big screen and naturally, the red carpet. Haley's already showed her fashion prowess, wearing the likes of Altuzarra and Valentino to premieres, but this Midwesterner (she grew up in Ohio) can just as easily kick back in a floppy straw hat and white tee. We're already predicting all the designers who will want to dress Haley come award season. Scroll on to learn a few fast facts about the actress and then keep your eyes on her when she dominates the red carpet.
11 Times Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore Was All of Us Having a Bad Day
There's not one character American-Argentinean actress Alexis Bledel can play that we won't like - yes, we even liked her as a needy/weird housewife on Mad Men - but her portrayal of Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls will always have a special spot in our hearts. When we needed advice on love, we went to Rory and Lorelai, and when no one understood our coffee addiction, the Gilmore girls certainly did. Even now, 16 years after its premiere and nine years after its finale, Rory is still just like us on our best and definitely our worst days. While you wait for the Netflix reboot to premiere on Nov. 25, see all the times the bookworm was us on a day we woke up feeling grumpy, then remember the glorious day the entire cast reunited.
33 Alessandra Ambrosio Instagrams That Prove She Is Living 2016 in a Bikini
It's no news that Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio is comfortable strutting down the runway in skimpy lingerie, but the VS fashion show and our chance at glimpsing the Brazilian beauty's fit body on the catwalk comes only once a year. Lucky for you, Alessandra has found another way to show off her stunning physique.
On her Instagram, where her two kids, Anja Louise and Noah Phoenix, are the stars, Alessandra has posted bikinigram after bikinigram for the past few months, making 2016 her sexiest year yet and truly living her motto of #foreveronvacation - is she ever not at the beach? We don't think so. It helps that her work has taken her everywhere from the Maldives to the beaches of Malibu in California to Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Olympics. Scroll ahead to check out a sampling of Alessandra's hottest swimsuit snaps.
This Dad's Genius Hack to Keep His Triplets From Fighting in the Car Is Going Viral
Every mom and dad loves a good parenting hack, but one could argue that parents of multiples need hacks more than the rest of us - they're outnumbered, it's math. Jake White, father of triplets, was working on a one to three ratio with his two sons and daughter, when he got sick of them fighting in the backseat. His solution? DIY car seat dividers.
A photo of his genius triplet hack was posted to Facebook and has since gone viral to the sound of a slow clap from parents everywhere. "But they all look annoyed," one person commented. Jake's response? "I can't hear annoyed."
Touché, Jake. Touché.
Paris Fashion Week's Front Row Was Full of Icons, It Girls, and Today's Top Models
Paris may be known as the City of Light, full of spectacular sights and historical landmarks. But during the city's Fashion Week, all of that tends to take a back seat. Stars settle into the front row at runway shows, viewing designs from the likes of Chanel, Miu Miu, and Balmain, quickly adding each stunning piece to top of their future shopping lists.
This time around, models took a break, checking out what was coming down the catwalk rather than walking on it, while Kim Kardashian and her family had their fair share of daring looks. You also saw plenty of influencers and icons sitting pretty front and center, as ladies like Olivia Palermo and Diane Kruger broke out their Fashion Week best once again. Scroll through to see which stars really enjoyed themselves in ol' Paree, then check out all the amazing street style, which is a show in itself.
NYX Cosmetics Is Releasing an Eye Shadow Vault - and It's Seriously Affordable
Though the L'Oréal-owned company NYX Cosmetics can now be found in drugstore aisles nationwide, the brand's latest release is paying tribute to its beginnings in Los Angeles, where NYX is headquartered to this day. Said release, however, isn't confined to just one mere product. Instead, NYX is honoring Los Angeles with an eye shadow vault complete with 12 different shades, all named after famous areas including Beverly Hills, the Valley, and Malibu.
The collection's shadows range from laid-back and subtle to vibrant and electric, much like the cities they're inspired by. West Hollywood, for example, is a nearly neon pink while Santa Monica is a sandy beige. The entire vault is priced at $25, making it one of the most affordable sets of its kind. Sadly, it will only be available for a limited time, so make sure to scoop one up when it launches later this week on Ulta Beauty.
Look ahead for pictures of the entire Cali-inspired collection.

We Got the New Flavors of Halo Top's Healthy Ice Cream (Spoiler Alert: the Cookie Dough Is Insane)
The second batch of Halo Top flavors has debuted, and when the frosty shipment came to the POPSUGAR offices, we collectively lost our s***. Seeing as how the first time we tried Halo Top's original flavors we ended up with best taste test results ever, we've been craving this healthy ice cream ever since.
A quick refresher: Halo Top is high protein, low calorie, low carb, and low sugar. Not that we'd ever encourage you to polish off a pint solo, but if you accidentally happened to do so, it wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen to you.
14 Delicious, Healthy Ice Creams You Can Make at Home
The new flavors we sampled were chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate almond crunch, salted caramel, pistachio, black cherry, peanut butter cup, red velvet, s'mores, and oatmeal cookie. They've also launched cookies n' cream, but that flavor was so good it just happened to uh . . . mysteriously disappear . . .

- "Tastes like fake sugar."
- "A bit fake tasting."
- "Tastes like fake cherry candy."
Chocolate Almond Crunch
- "Too much almond." (this was said about four times)

- "I actually really like the amaretto flavor . . . tastes like amaretto hot chocolate, but frozen."
- "I like this but it maybe needs more chocolate."
Sea Salt Caramel
- "Not enough sea salt."
- "Kinda tastes like diet ice cream."
- "Too sweet, missing the salt"
- "Don't taste the sea salt, but still good."
Here's Exactly How Ben & Jerry's Dairy-Free Ice Creams Taste
S'mores
- "I don't even know what this tastes like but I love it."
- "Why do I taste coffee?"
- "Doesn't really taste like s'mores."
- "Pass."
- "Almost caramel in flavor, no hint of marshmallow."
Peanut Butter Cup
- "I like it but I don't love it."
- "Good PB flavor, but it's like a fro-yo that's trying to be an ice cream. Trying really hard."
- "Needs more peanut butter cup."
- "Eeeeh . . . this ain't cuttin' it."
- "Tastes good, but where are the actual peanut butter cups?"
- "Like the ribbons of peanut butter."
Pistachio
- "Tastes like marzipan."
- "YUM. Sweet but tasty."

This Cop Failed to Recognize the Danger in Leaving Her Toddler in a Hot Patrol Car For 4 Hours
Many children who perish in hot cars were left because they were completely forgotten, but some infants and toddlers remain in their parent's vehicles on purpose, because their moms and dads fail to recognize the danger.
When Police Officer Cassie Barker visited a fellow cop at his home after they completed working night-duty together, she left her 3-year-old daughter in the patrol car with the engine running. Hours later, when Mississippi authorities discovered the toddler in the unattended car, young Chyenne Hyer was unresponsive.
The child was rushed to Hancock Medical Center as CPR was performed but was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Police estimate that the little girl was left for up to four hours, and even though the air conditioner was on when they arrived, they believe the toddler died from the heat. As investigators wait for autopsy results, Cassie and her friend, Sgt. Clark Ladner, have been placed on administrative leave with pay.
"Somebody is going to be accountable for the baby's death," Hancock County Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said. "There isn't a reason so far that has happened that would indicate that Cassie wouldn't be held accountable in some way under the guidelines of Mississippi's criminal code. But it's our responsibility to look at all the information."
14 Facts You Didn't Know About Beauty Entrepreneur Huda Kattan
After reading beauty entrepreneur Huda Kattan's interview in Harper's Bazaar Arabia, we're even more obsessed with her than ever. As the cover star for the magazine's October 2016 issue, the makeup-artist-and-blogger-turned-business-owner spoke candidly about her life, discussing everything from her professional aspirations and facial fillers to religion and miscarriage.
Whether you are a devoted follower of her Instagram feed or have just become a fan through her lust-worthy longwear liquid lipsticks, read on. In addition to some stunning photographs from the spread, we've distilled 14 interesting facts from her profile that you likely didn't know. We're positive that you'll be absolutely inspired by her success (we were!). Then visit Harper's Bazaar Arabia to read the interview in full.
- Huda was born in the United States. Despite her enormous presence in the Middle East, she is from Tennessee by way of Oklahoma. She moved to Dubai in 2008.
- Being the family "ugly duckling" made Huda obsessed with beauty. Her baby sister Mona was always considered the "pageant princess" of the family, while their mother told Huda that she was "not the cutest." While she appreciates the honesty now, she considers this to be the reason she has always been so fascinated by beauty.
- Michael Jackson's death triggered her to start her beauty industry career. Until that moment in 2009, she had been working in finance. Huda was inspired by Jackson's passion for his work - and how he changed the world - she moved on to become a makeup artist and blogger.
- She started her brand in 2012 with her sisters' help. Alya and Mona Kattan joined Huda's start-up and helped her achieve her vision, which was first to create and distribute false eyelashes at Sephora in The Dubai Mall. This goal was reached in early 2013.
- Her brand came to Sephora in the United States in 2015. The company now carries Huda's lashes, lip pencils, and liquid lipsticks.
- Huda rarely shares sponsored posts on Instagram. She only posted two last year, explaining that "you don't make as much money, but long term you can make substantially more money because ultimately people will trust you."
- The makeup maven garners six-figure fees for personal appearances. She uses this money to fund her "out of control" Net-a-Porter habit.
- She wants to be the Mark Zuckerberg or Oprah of the beauty industry. "I promise I'm going to own the beauty world," Huda insisted. "My vision is that the beauty world will never be the same because of Huda Beauty."
- Huda finds it hard to strike the perfect work-life balance. The entrepreneur has a 5-year-old daughter (Nour) and feels intense remorse when she's not with her. "I grew up with my mom being at home, so I always feel this sense of guilt. Every single day my daughter's like, 'Please stay home today,' and it's really hard."
- She rejects comparisons of the Kattan sisters to the Kardashians. Huda believes that the way Kim flaunted her nudity on the cover of Paper was "basically objectifying women." "Maybe the sex thing gets you closer to fame faster," she remarked, "but this is not a sprint for me."
- She's gotten work done, and she isn't ashamed to admit it. Two years ago, Huda visited Dr. Marc Mani at the American British Surgical & Medical Centre in Dubai and underwent a very subtle nose job. "It was shortened a bit, my nose was twisted on the end and he did get rid of my hump, it's the Arab hump," she said of her plastic surgery. She also freely admitted to getting Botox and fillers in Los Angeles but looks to vitamins and red-light therapy for noninvasive antiaging results.
- Huda is a practicing Muslim. Though she faces judgment from fans for her decision to not cover, or wear hijab, she prays five times daily and hasn't missed a single prayer since she started in 2003.
- Her inspiration is Sheikh Mohammed. "He's a boss," Huda said of the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates. "What he's done to Dubai is what I want to do to beauty."
- Cyberbullies don't scare her. "I might cry myself to sleep behind closed doors, but nobody is going to know," she said fiercely. "You are not going to make me stop blogging, you are not going to make me stop working hard. Nothing is going to stop me from doing that."

8 Major Things You Can Expect to See in Fifty Shades Darker
It's been more than a year since Fifty Shades of Grey hit theaters, leaving a massive hole in our lives because we didn't get to see Christian Grey chase after Anastasia Steele after she shouted "No!" before those elevator doors closed. And with less than a year until the franchise's second installment, Fifty Shades Darker, comes out, that satisfying feeling of seeing Jamie Dornan on the big screen again is getting closer by the day. While the first movie just scratched the surface of the complex emotions behind Christian's beautiful eyes (and controlling behavior), Darker will give new meaning to the phrase, "What the actual f*ck." We've already seen a handful of steamy set photos and a trailer, but just in case you need more to satisfy your "non-vanilla" craving until then, here are eight major things that you expect to see in Darker next February.
1. Ana and Christian's lives fall apart without each other. While the end of Fifty Shades of Grey left fans (who didn't read the books) with a little bit of hope that Christian might stop the elevator and make things right again, that's not at all what happens. Ana and Christian don't speak for days after she leaves, which causes both of their lives to slightly unravel. Ana starts her new job as a personal assistant to Jack Hyde, a big-time book publisher, but her grief causes her to stop eating, lose weight, and not properly function in everyday life.
2. They then get back together. After Ana and Christian both attend a photo gallery exhibit for her friend José (the one that has a massive crush on her), they kiss in an alleyway and pick up right where they left off.
3. Christian screws with Ana's career. Throughout their romance, Ana insists that she wants to make her own way in the publishing word without relying on Christian or his money. So when he buys the company that she currently works for because he doesn't trust Jack (he also freezes the company's accounts so Ana and Jack can't go on a business trip together), Ana is furious.
4. Christian's instincts about Jack turn out to be spot on. It becomes very clear very quickly that Jack is an inappropriate and dangerous boss. In addition to continuously asking Ana out for after-work drinks and making her uncomfortable by invading her personal space, he also ends up cornering her in their office one night to try and blackmail her. He presents her with her personal emails with Christian that she sent on her work computer and threatens to expose her if she doesn't give him sexual favors. He then assaults her before she manages to escape. Christian has him fired and confiscates his work computer.
A Guide to the New Characters in Fifty Shades Darker
5. We finally meet "Mrs. Robinson." Elena Lincoln, who will be played by Kim Basinger, comes face to face with Ana when they all attend a masquerade ball at the Grey's house together. When Elena finally realizes that Christian is in love with Ana and doesn't see her as just a submissive, she becomes short with Ana and tries to sabotage their romance out of jealousy.
6. A dangerous stalker is thrown into the mix. While Jack presents his own problems for Ana, it's one of Christian's former submissives, Leila Williams (played by Bella Heathcote), that really takes things up a notch in Darker. After Leila's boyfriend dies in a car crash, she has a mental breakdown and becomes obsessed with Ana and her former relationship with Christian. She begins to stalk Ana and eventually breaks into her apartment and threatens her at gunpoint. Christian shows up and talks her down, but the whole situation has Ana worried that Christian won't be satisfied with their "vanilla" relationship.
7. Christian proposes to Ana. When Christian fears Ana may be leaving him again, he quickly proposes to her. She says she needs time to think about it and he leaves on a business trip in his helicopter, Charlie Tango. The helicopter then disappears from radar and Christian is missing for several hours, but when he returns to his apartment safely, he tells his family that both the helicopter's engines failed and he thinks someone was trying to kill him. Because Ana thought he had died, she realizes she wants to be with him forever and accepts his proposal.
8. Jack Hyde is not done. After Ana accepts Christian's proposal, his family throws him a party for his 28th birthday at their home. Jack, however, is watching the entire thing from outside, and in addition to revealing he sabotaged the helicopter, he also swears revenge on Christian because they are connected in more ways than one.

Daniel Radcliffe Just Shared His Thoughts on Donald Trump and Voldemort
Back in December 2015, J.K. Rowling compared Donald Trump to Voldemort - if you can even call it a comparison. Rowling tweeted that not even Voldemort was as terrible as Donald Trump in response to Trump suggesting that Muslims be banned from entering the US. Now, another former cast member from Harry Potter has joined her in that sentiment - Daniel Radcliffe.
During an interview with Sky News, Radcliffe was asked about the tweet the Rowling sent out. Radcliffe shared that he didn't think Donald Trump was as "ideologically pure as Voldemort." He went on and said, "My thing on Trump is that he feels like more of an opportunist - like I don't know how much of this stuff he's saying he actually, really, really believes." You can watch the short segment below.

I Added This to My Smoothies and It Helped Me Lose Weight
When I started making smoothies instead of eating an enormous bowl of cereal for breakfast, it was the change I needed to start losing weight. But one ingredient in particular was the real game changer.
Liquid meals can feel less filling than you need them to be. In order to make a liquid meal that keeps hunger at bay for hours, you need to add fiber. I started adding one tablespoon of flaxmeal to my blender. With just 37 calories, it adds two grams of fiber and three grams of filling fat. What is so great about flaxmeal is that when it gets wet, it expands, which makes your belly feel more full and makes it take longer to digest.
Once I started adding this one simple ingredient, I didn't feel hungry until lunchtime, when normally I'd need to reach for a mid-morning snack. Skipping those 150 calories every day started to add up, and suddenly the scale started to budge. This would probably work with chia seeds, too. Try it tomorrow when you make your morning smoothie and see what a difference it makes.
